Chapter 26

"Alright now you are all here we may begin" A teacher callout out walking into the colosseum followed by a teacher to the left and right of him.

"My name is Hue and i am in charge of the combination of the support and attack groups" Hue said.

"My name is Will" The man on the right said

"and i am Sarah" the woman on the left said.

Gil recognised Sarah as he had seen her multiple times. Will the man on the left was a very slim person with short brown hair, he had a pair of thin glasses hiding his darting eyes. He was wearing a long robe down to his feet leaving a small trail in the sand. Gil assumed that this was the supports teacher like Sarah was the attacks. Hue was a big man standing at what looked like 2.5 meters tall with long orange hair and an equally long beard, he was waring tanned trousers and no shirt showing a chest full of scars.

"Alright, yesterday we showed the support team the data of the attacking team showing their grade, weapon and team members this was so they could pick who they believed they would benefit the best supporting. We will start with the group that had the highest number of votes, can Natasha and Gil please come down." Hue said.

Gil noticed Jade on the opposite side of them and told Tash she was a healer but wasnt sure about the rest of the group.

"If she stands up well pick them" Tash said as they got to the floor.

Gil and Tash made there way down to the floor and looked at Hue towering above them. Hue had a folder in his hands which Gil saw said "Support Group Data" and thought that this would be for them to look through to pick.

"Alright, would the teams that would like to support this pair please stand up" Hue said. There was a pause when slowly students started to stand up after a few seconds all of the students where standing. "Alright, here is the book containing the information about the groups if you would like to look through" Hus started to hand them the book.

"Jade and her group please" Tash said not acknowledging the book.

The support side was silent for a second amazed by Tash.

"They picked the best group right away without looking at the book" One girl said

"How much research into us have they done" Another boy said

Jade, made her way down to the floor where Gil and Tash where followed by 2 girls and a boy. Jade had her slight green hair tied up with several flowers in it. She was wearing a tight version of the supports uniform with several satchels round her waist, hanging of one of these was a large hunting knife.

"Hello Gil, nice to meet you again" Jade said greeting Gil.

"Alright head to training area E and introduce your self and train" Hue said before any one could introduce each other. Walking out the area they headed to area E which was by the lake at the back of the castle, they started to introduce themselves.

"My name is Ruby and I am a scout with the power of speed." Ruby introduced her self. She had pale red hair and was wearing the same tight uniform as both girls. On here waist was two daggers,

"Im Will and im a bag carrir with the sub space power" Will was a medium sized boy in hight and a bit chubby in weight, like the other Will before this will was dressed in a robe. He had brown hair and no discerning features.

"Lastly im Hope, and i have the power of detection, which allows me to find monsters easier then others" Hope was fairly pale and looked even paler when looking at her face with her silky white hair. She had a small dagger on her waist and nothing else.

Gil and Tash didnt introduce themselves as the 4 others already know about them. When they got to the area they decided to have a duel to get used to each others powers. Jade was going to go last so she could heal everyone.

"Ill go first an i challenge Silver" Ruby said.

"You know my name is Gil right" Gil said walking up

"Silver sounds cooler" Ruby said taking a crouched stance with both daggers inverted.

"Okay, lets begin" Gil was wondering how his agility would math against someone who had the power of speed.

Both of them rushed forward, with Gil not drawing his blade yet, as Ruby brought on dagger close to Gils chest he side stepped allowing it to fly past. As she brought the other downs Gil used his hand to knock it up.

[Close combated fighting learnt]

Ignoring the message, Gil continued to block and dodge Ruby.

"Get ready im speeding up" Ruby called out.

Suddenly her arms where moving twice as fast and Gil was having to focus more intensely, he was dodging more then blocking but still no blade had grazed Gil yet. Ruby seemed to be getting faster again and just when a dagger was about to slice Gils stomach a wind spear shot out to Ruby causing her to jump back.

"Do you wasn't to continue with me using my powers?" Gil asked

"Jeez that was good, if your using your powers then it wouldnt be a fight i guess" Ruby said. "How powerful is he i was nearly going all out" She thought walking back to the others.

"Are me and Hope alright to fight together" Will asked looking at Tash.

"Yeah that should be fine" She replied walking up behind the two of them.

Whilst Will was walking a sword appeared in one hand and a shield in the other, and as they stopped he pulled out a bow and arrow from nowhere in front of him and handed it to Hope.

"You ready" Will said with a smile

"Yeah" Tash replied

"Is she going to be alright facing projectiles and swords together" Jade asked

Gil replied by drawing his sword, firing a wind slash and an elemental spear of each element into the lake.

"This is how we normally train" Gil said with a smile.

"Im glade you didnt fight like that earlier" Ruby said with a gulp

Will and Hope where happy originally as they had good teamwork but after seeing Gil fire of all of that they didnt think that they would last long. This proved to be the case as Tash quickly disposed both of them.

"Jade, do you wanna fight" Gil asked not knowing if she could fight.

"Okay, but only sword vs dagger and non of your power" She said with a smile walking forward checking the others for injuries before hand. Walking forward and drawing his blade Gil activated [swordsmanship].

As both of them charged forward Jade's dagger wasnt the fasted but blocked all of Gils swings, although Gil didnt put much power into the swings he was pushing Jade backwards until she conceded the fight.

"Anyone else wanting to fight" Gil asked

"I think where all fine" Ruby said. They know the attack group was strong but not this much.

"Alright how do you want to spend the next 7 days before the next test" Tash asked

"Train together until Saturday as Serv village has a fair that we where looking forward to going to, if you would like to join us." Ruby said

"Sounds fine to me, what about you Tash" Gil asked

"Sound like fun" Tash replied

Deciding that they spend the rest of the day fighting each other, and Jade healing them. Gil and Tash fought once as strongly as they could which caused some other teams to stop and watch them. They repeated this on Friday and through this time GIl had upgraded his [Close combated] to level 2.
