Goddess of Life

"I ask you, are you my master?"

"Yes." Replies Max with his resting confident face. But without waiting for her to respond he asks, "How good are you with schemes and tactics? Also is your survivability in the spirit world good?"

"My survivability in spirit should be considered good considering that I have been there since the 2nd Epoch, so you don't have to worry about my safety, my lord. Also tactics and schemes are my specialty from my time as a subsidiary god under our Ancestor." She answers with an amiable face after confirming from me. (A/N: It's convenient I know but what else do you want me to do?)

"Second Epoch and a subsidiary god under Ancestor? Who are you? Oh pardon my manners, I should introduce myself first. My name is Maximilian Hendrix and I will be the being who will save the world from the apocalypse." Max first asks about her origins but then introduces himself in a grand manner. It was all calculated in his mind.

"As expected from my lord. As for me I am the former Goddess of Life Flonecia who served under our Sanguine Ancestor in the Second Epoch. The Ancestor saved me from complete annihilation during a war and then took a characteristic from me as compensation. I became a spirit world creature since then. In the current world terms, I would be considered a Sequence 2 Desolate Matriarch." She answers him.

"I see that's perfect. I just want to ask you this, if the Sanguine Ancestor became my enemy for some reason would you still follow me or will you go back to 'Her'?" Max asks her in a serious manner.

"But the Ancestor is dead isn't 'She'? 'She' hasn't contacted me again since back then. Anyway if by some chance the Ancestor is still alive and 'She' becomes your enemy, I will not abandon my new lord. After all I don't owe Ancestor anything after 'She' took away that Naturewalker characteristic from me." She tells him.

"Okay then, let's discuss the terms for our master-servant contract." After that Max and Flonecia discussed the terms for the contract. Max asked Flonecia to become his advisor and messenger. In return, Flonecia asked for a drop of blood from Max for consumption every time she helps. Max relented by adding a clause that his blood wouldn't be used in any way that would harm him, and that Flonecia is only allowed to drink it and not to analyze it or something.

Flonecia was a bit surprised by how thorough Max was being in the contract, but also a bit prideful that her new lord was at least trying to be meticulous and cautious even against herself.

The contract was done using the Sun's Authority present in Glasses of Almighty while using Error Authority so that Aucuses or Eternal Blazing Sun is not able to see or do something with the contract.

After finalizing the contract, Max canceled the summoning. And Flonecia went away.

"Today really has been a long day." Max says with a somewhat tired sigh.

"It really has been for you, brother. Though technically the day ended before the summoning happened since it's past midnight." Eva pointed out.

"Anyway what do you think about Flonecia?" Max asks her.

"I don't like how you agreed to give your blood to that granny. But it's your blood so I guess its your choice. Anyway I think we should be careful around her for some time and take as many benefits as we can. If she is genuine in the end, you can reward her with something. For the time being I believe you should be a bit cautious when dealing with her considering how old of an entity she is." Eva answers.

'Hmm I don't think Flonecia would betray me or something but being cautious never hurt anyone.' Max thinks inwardly while agreeing with some of Eva's thoughts. 'I guess that takes a bit of load from my mind. Anyway what Flonecia and Eva both don't know is that I planted a psychological cue of not betraying me in Flonecia's mind before signing the contract. I also browsed through her strategies and tactics through her memories and they are all in my brain now. The advisor bit was to fool everyone other than me at the place. After all if even Eva is fooled nobody would know my real intentions in the summoning. In the unlikely case that Flonecia somehow betrays me without her knowledge, I will still have the upper hand. Heh I am thinking too much.'

"Yeah sure whatever you say sis." Max says while taking hold of Eva. "Let's get to bed shall we?"

"Oh you sure became assertive very suddenly Max." Eva says while raising one of her eyebrows.

"Yeah well I feel that a lot of things will be easier from now on." Max says while pressing his forehead against hers.

"Getting a beautiful vampire granny is going to make your problems go away?" Eva's voice contains some jealousy but Max just chuckles at that.

"Yes." He says but doesn't elaborate more and rather goes for a kiss so that the topic doesn't continue in an undesirable direction for him. Since he now understands that the less people that know about his plans, the better it will be for him. And the best case scenario would be that nobody other than himself knows about the plans.

Some things happened after that. Clothes were torn of some bodies and thrown here and there in the room afterwards. There was some moaning heard in the room but not outside it. The rest of the details of that particular act have been omitted through the intervention of a certain existence.

The act continued till the sunrise.

Eva was fast asleep after that but Max was wide awake thinking about many things since he actually doesn't need sleep. He will sleep if he wants but right now he has many things to think about for the future.

He has also realized that he doesn't need to make very long term plans because he won't need them. Firstly because of his cheat and secondly because they mostly never work. For long term planning you have to make many contingencies for plans and have to calculate and account for every possible permutation of an event that can occur, but because of his heaven defying cheat he doesn't need to do that.

Max now wonders why A so easily gave him this power even if he said that he wanted himself as his assistant?

'Anyway its a new day and a lot of things to do, some short term plans will need to be set in motion starting today.'

That was the chapter. Hopefully it was okay.

Still sick right now and have pain in my throat. Fever is down at the moment and hopefully stays that way. Anyway if this chapter feels a little disjointed it's because I wrote this by taking long breaks in between, hopefully it turned out okay.

Max becoming much better at planning suddenly through this manner is something I planned from the start. Him using his cheat for fast advancements is probably the most obvious thing to do in my opinion I he is smart. Please do tell if you have suggestions to make this better.
