Making a deal with Evernight

Thursday, 12th July, Year 1349 of Fifth Epoch

After getting up from bed, not exhausted by his "night exercises", Max first of all took a bath and cleaned himself. Then wore all of his clothes and artifacts. He also took note of 0-08 and that it had behaved itself. 'You are going to be bait for Adam, though I am sure he will be very cautious from here on out.' Max thought to himself while looking at 0-08 with a crazy smile. 'With this in my hand, there won't be a God Almighty or even half God Almighty.'

'First things first, I should get rid of these things that I stupidly ingested.' Max thinks while using Sun's Authority to purge all the Beyonder characteristics except the Sequence 4 one from his body. He puts the Beyonder characteristics in an envisioned briefcase with a wall of spirituality in it. He then uses the healing ability he analyzed from the memories of Flonecia heal his body from the weakness caused by characteristics leaving his body via this method.

'I also got notified by Mr A that he found a nice villa in Cherwood Borough for me last night. So I guess today is my last day in this manor. But I won't miss it.' Max thinks and chuckles a bit. 'Things are moving along nicely.'

While he is thinking of what steps to take next for better results. Fors and Xio wake up in the next room and get ready to depart from his home. When they are in front of the door he just waits outside it to prevent them from seeing the bed in his room. He obviously cleaned up the smell so that it doesn't smell weird.

Also he understands his charm much more now, so they won't be focusing on anything else other than his face anyway.

"Shall I give you ladies a lift to your house?" Max says while extending a hand in a gentlemanly way. Fors and Xio just nod with a shy and red face especially Xio, she looked a little in Max's eyes.

Max used Door Authority to open a door inside their house and they just went through it with wonder on their faces.

"Alright ladies I have many things to do today, so see you later. And I will be changing address from tomorrow and this will be it, keep that in mind." He says while giving them a piece of paper filled with his new address.

"So you will also live in Cherwood Borough?" Fors asks after looking at the address.

"Yes." Max just says that and teleports back to his room.

'So with that done, I suppose the next move would be to finalize a deal with Evernight and confirm an alliance. Today is going to be another hectic day.' He sighs but then pumps himself up. 'It will be worth it though.'

Before leaving Max leaves a message in Eva's mind that she will get when she wakes up. He basically told her where he went because not seeing him beside herself might freak her out or not, but Max will not take chances with any little things. Not anymore. He obviously setup some True God level safety measures so she was probably the safest mortal Beyonder on the planet.

Thinking all that Max teleports to outside the Saint Selena Cathedral in Tingen under Psychological Invisibility. He then steals the Antigonus Family Notebook from Ray Bieber. He stores the book in one of his separate space Inventories that he has formed. After that he removes the Psychological Invisibility.

While walking towards the entrance of the Cathedral Max found Megose with his limited omniscience and started purifying the fetus of True Creator's corruption. Anyway this is a latent danger that Max promised to fix so he is doing that now. He feels a bit sorry for Megose because she might not survive this, but even if he feels sorry he will not make extra effort on some thing that is easily solved.

'True Creator seems surprisingly okay with this. I don't feel any resistance while purification. Is it because of yesterday? Or is there another reason? Hmm I will have to keep this lack of reaction from True Creator in my mind, it might become important later on.' Max thinks during the walk.

After finishing purification, he just sits on a pew of church and joins his hands in a prayer gesture and says the honorific name of the Evernight Goddess. He then suddenly feels the familiar sensation of falling into darkness and then comes to the familiar Tenebrous Heaven, the divine kingdom of Evernight Goddess.

Unlike before he is not nervous this time and is very confident. Of course on the outside his expression is neutral with a slight expectation hidden. To make the impression he wants the Evernight Goddess to have.

"My greetings to you Evernight Goddess." Max says while bowing towards Evernight Goddess whose figure has become much more clearer than before and looks quite beautiful.

"Congratulations on your advancement to Saint and also the acquisition to Sefirah Castle." Evernight says in an impassive voice before continuing, "Also you have a strange charm now which is surprisingly even stronger than Lilith, I wonder how that came about?"

"Maybe I have always been a charming man and my advancement to Saint just increased it?" Max said with a straight face.

"Alright no need to tell me, that's not why we are here anyway. So what do you need this time?" Evernight asks him.

"What? You talk as if I always contact you to get something from you. Can't I just be asking for your audience just to admire a beautiful Goddess?" Max says in a frivolous tone.

"Please. We both don't know enough about each other for that to happen." 'She' says to him. "And you know that."

"So I just need to know more about you and tell you more about myself for that to happen?" Max says with a sneaky grin.

"Get to the point." Evernight says with an annoyed tone.

"Calm down, no need to get annoyed at small talk." Max says with a pacifying expression and then continues, "Alright I will say it. I need the 2 Attendant of Mysteries characteristics that you have in your custody as well as the Fool's Uniqueness."

"And? What will you give in exchange?" Evernight asks him.

"My eternal gratitude? My undying love? Take your pick." Max says with a smiling face.

"Stop joking!" Evernight shouts at him. And Max just inwardly grins, 'Just as planned.'

"But I am not j-" Evernight just stares at him intensely. "Ahem, I mean I can give you a potion that can help you make your humanity dominate the divinity at True God level if you want. It will also make it nigh impossible to lose control because of things like corruption, though those other beings could still corrupt you."

"Is there really a potion like that? How is that possible?" Evernight's shocked voice echoes in the silent kingdom. And then she slightly murmurs. "Hiding him from the rest of 'Them' was the right choice after all."

"But I think the value of that potion exceeds what you are giving me so I will have to ask for additional compensation from you." Max now says with a serious expression. There is silence for a while.

"Alright it seems reasonable so what do you want in exchange?" Evernight asks with some reluctance.

"Your love and gratitude." Max says with a straight face.

"Stop joking and tell me what you really want." Evernight asks in an exasperated manner.

"Alright give me Moon's Uniqueness then." Max says in a bland tone.

"Don't ask for too much and that is too much." Evernight replies in a calm manner.

"Alright I will help you one time in exchange for Moon's Uniqueness, it can't be something unreasonable though." Max tells 'Her' in a calm manner. "And you can't give Moon's Uniqueness to anyone else during that time."

There is some silence again for a few minutes after that. Then Evernight replies.

"Alright, if that's what you want in exchange." 'She' says tiredly.

"I still thinking my eternal love to you would have been the best choice for you in exchange for those characteristics and Uniqueness, but that's just me." Max says in a partially joking and partially serious tone.

"I don't have time for such things." Evernight says in a calm manner. "So when do you want to do the exchange?"

"Tomorrow evening, Backlund time. It will take some time to make that potion. Also can you make it like I am your Blessed or something, it will make it easier to help."

"Sure. So we'll meet tomorrow then." Evernight says and hands him an insignia.

"See you tomorrow, my beautiful goddess." Max says before he is ruthlessly ejected from the divine kingdom.

'That went perfectly according to my expectations. Now onto the next problem or should I say treasure trove?'

Did you like the way I am depicting Max and Amanises' "relationship"? Anyway even if you don't like it, I don't honestly care unless you have something constructive to say about it. I have decided to write whatever I want to now and this is the result.

Anyway next chapter is going to have some action, and by that I mean complete slaughter.
