The Summoning

After calming Fors, Xio and Eva down from their hysteria, Max ended their meeting. They all had a nice dinner together aftherwards and Max suggested that Xio and Fors both stay the night in the manor so that nothing unexpected happens to them. By stating how the Blood Moon came earlier tonight, Fors and Xio got convinced and agreed to stay.

Adjacent to their bedroom, Max created a room out of nothing by using Door and Envisioning Authorities. He also envisioned two separate beds for them for their convenience. After accompanying them to their room, he asked them if they needed anything else. Xio and Fors stated they were okay with the accommodations, so Max just told them to call him if they needed anything. To which the girls just nodded.

Anyway after settling the girls down, Max returned to his room only to be jumped by Eva and a kiss from her.

"Not now Eva, I am not in the mood for this." He stops Eva from escalating the situation further while making a pensive expression.

"What happened all of a sudden? You were not like this before during the little meeting before." Eva asks him with a worried expression.

"Nothing really happened." Max says with a straight face but on seeing Eva's clear skepticism that was written on her face he continued, "Alright nothing of much importance happened because I stopped it thankfully in time. I am talking about the Blood Moon, my actions provoked that and it was probably the worst Blood Moon in history. I didn't anticipate something like that and that's not cool at all, if I was just a little bit late Fors and even you might have suffered some sort of corruption."

Eva tries to console Max by saying, "You can't know everything Max."

"Don't say that!" Max shouts at Eva and then drops his volume immediately after realizing what he has done. "I am sorry for shouting at you but I am supposed to be a nigh-omnicient being with the help of these items. And I am definitely very powerful I admit with these powers but I am not fully utilizing them. I am just using them for doing some basic stuff. Having so many Authorities from so many Pathways should make me invincible among the gods but I am not. Sure I can surprise them with some unconventional methods but I am not a match for them head on.

"I haven't reached their level of scheming. Honestly if the gods were in my place, they would definitely have handled the situation much better and even gained something from it. I lack experience and I was honestly treating all of this like an easy game, which it is in some sense. But I have to keep myself on my toes from now on. That's what I wanted to tell you as well, to be much more careful than before.

"I might have flipped the chessboard on which the gods play their chess but I have no idea how to deal with the consequences of that. I realized that the thing I sorely lack that those other scheming old monsters have is experience which my side sorely lacks. There is Evernight Goddess that might be on our side but honestly I can't fully trust her before I become stronger than her, that's just the kind of beings that gods are in my opinion."

"Wow that's a lot of words Max, didn't think you were being that pessimistic." Eva says while shaking her head.

"That might seem pessimistic to you Eva because I meant to say it like that. Honestly if things were to go my way which they probably will, everything would be sunshine and rainbows for us. But for that to happen we have to be smart about our decisions, that's all I wanted to say. Anyway to help me increase my experience in the Beyonder domain I have to perform a ritual. A summoning ritual to be exact." Max explains.

"So what? You are gonna summon some ancient creature to teach you about the Beyonder domain?" Eva asks him. And Max just nods in response.

"That's stupid Max. I don't know what creature you are going to summon but those creatures won't help you reach the level of Gods in schemes or something like that." Eva looks at him in a bit of disappointment.

"I know how it sounds but honestly I am mostly a newbie in this, even if I had read the original book. Sure my brain works really fast but I don't know how most of the upper echelons of Beyonder world think aside from what I read in the book. So I feel this might help me, it's worth a shot. I can try other methods if this doesn't work." Max says to Eva and Eva just shrugs her shoulder with a "do whatever you want" expression.

12th July, Year 1349

A bit after midnight in Max's bedroom.

Max was setting up the summoning ritual while Eva was just watching what he was doing with a curious expression. After setting it up, Max thought about what kind of wording he would use to summon the creature. Honestly Max is hoping for a spirit like Reinette Tinekerr or something close to that level in his heart. If Seven Lights respond then that's even better in his opinion.

After getting ready he starts chanting, "I!

"I summon in my name:

"The spirit that wanders about the unfounded, the friendly and experienced creature that can be subordinated, a unique being that is willing to be my messenger."

The wind started blowing really fast in the concealed room, Eva's hair was going all over the place but she didn't care one bit about it.

The candle flame shook and expanded to the size of a human head. It was so pale that it seemed to have lost its body temperature. The air of desolation started spreading in the room but Max stopped it before it damaged something in the room.

A truly beautiful woman emerged as if breaking through a thin membrane in the air. She has long, gently-waving silver hair reaching down to her ankles and was wearing a white gown with icicles adorning it.

From her well-defined facial features to her simple expression, she exuded a strange, inexplicable charm. She also had red eyes and some blood on her lips that further amplified her charm somehow.

The woman then looked towards Max and said, "I ask you, are you my master?"

So that was the chapter. Hope you liked it. Honestly I am really sick today, can't even speak without my throat hurting and have a big headache so if you don't like some things Max said in this chapter blame my sick brain for it I guess. I don't know if I like this chapter or not honestly.

Hopefully I will get well soon because right now I feel like shit.
