"Y-You are the Duke??"

Ross was fully surprised and scared as well. He didn't know how could a random boy who met him in forest could be the strongest person in the country - Duke Alex Lockhart.

"I am sorry for calling you without formal greetings, Duke Alex."

Ross quickly composed himself in front of Alex. He who is just a commoner is nothing compared to the Duke - The highest nobility of the country.

"Don't be so serious. Even though I am duke, currently I am in a disguise in the academy. And in truth, I am also of same age as you. You can consider me as a friend."

'How could I do that with the two scary auras behind you?'

Ross could see Ram and Rem looking him with murderous intent. It's if he did something wrong in front of Alex, then he is going to die.

'Who knew that Duke's maids are also strong?'

"Y-Yes. I will try my best to become friends with you, Sir Alex."

Alex also didn't try to correct him once again. He thought that Ross must be in fear of nobles.

'I guess he will be fine as time passes.'

"So, for now let's see the result of your training."

In Duke's Training Ground...

Even though Alex don't have territory, his mansion is already pretty luxurious like the most nobles. And of course he has private training ground.

Normally other Duke's train knights for their proper territorial rule. And they collect taxes from the land as well.

But Alex has none of that. He never wished for it as well. For money, he has enough because of his adventures. And knights... He never needed them.

In the ground, Alex was sitting and watching the match between Rem and Ross. If he fights with him, it will be too quick.

So, Alex thought it would be better to let Rem fight with him. Even though he never tells them to practice, both sisters train very much.

After losing most of dear ones in massacre, it's not surprise if they both want to be stronger to protect each other.

Specially Rem, who has a guilt in her heart because of Ram's horn loss.

Rem was beside Alex serving him a glass of juice who was sitting down the shed of the tree near the ground.

"The wind is pretty nice, isn't it?"

He could feel the natural wind blowing all over. Ram also nodded at her master words.

"Yes. It seems nowadays the wind are more frequent then before."

"If you are saying that, then it must be true."

Ram was a natural wind element user. Her affinity of wind was very high and she was quite sensitive of wind. So, Alex didn't doubt once she said her opinion.

Ross was a bit nervous to fight with Rem. He could see that his opponent was quite strong compared to him. But still he needed to fight and defeat more guys to become stronger.

'I can't just run away everytime.'

He picked up his sword and got in his stance with sword in front of him. Rem didn't said anything and took out her weapon - Morningstar.

Most people don't know but this weapon's name has nothing to resemblance with the weapon itself. Even Alex just don't understand how could the weapon's name is morningstar.

"Her weapon?"

Every time, Alex just see Rem taking her weapon out it just a total different feeling. How could a cute kind girl suddenly turn into an Asura with a weapon that has a spike ball in front of it and it elongates with chains.

But we are in a modern age, and we don't discriminate. So, Alex didn't said anything weird about her weapon.

Meanwhile, Ross could totally feel the subtle change of air around Rem. The kind and bright somehow turned into a bloody one.

He was scared but nonetheless he still raised his weapon - His sword and was ready to face her.

And so... Rem made the first move. She threw the spiked ball in a great speed towards the place Ross was.

Ross quickly noticed and dodged it with a nick of time.

'Fast!'

Both of them were quite surprised at the speed of each other. Even though, Ross is an E ranked slayer, he has good swordplay and good physique than rest of the slayers. It's just his magic strength that lowers him down by a lot.

And with breathing method, his physique have become more stronger than his previous one. He dashed towards Rem to take this chance to give a good hit of her.

The Morningstar is a weapon that has a very high attack power and a very big range. But it has a fatal flaw. And that is time period it takes to attack once again. It's just like a cannon.

The first attack, if it's hits then alright. But the opponent dodges it, then it will take a bit of time for the spike ball to return back to its place.

Ross as soon saw the weapon, already knew it. So, he dashed towards her with his sword.

"I guess, he thinks he got her. Don't you think, Ram?"

Alex who was enjoying the juice, saw Ross rushing towards Rem so he asked Ram beside him.

"Yes, Alex-sama. He is quite foolish to think that he got this match in his pocket."

Ross was good at noticing the flaw of the weapon. But he was in wrong if he didn't think the opponent also knew the flaw of her own weapon.

There is no weapon user, who doesn't know his/her own weapon's limit.
