ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-FIVE

ANISHA'S POV

We were all invited to a very special event, which was held at one of the country's best hotels. It was a celebration of success, hosted by Keith Junior. He had invited a lot of other officials, and it really was a very flashy event. News reporters were there, crowding the place like ants. I had not realised that I had become that much of a celebrity until I walked in. They all came around me, all of them wishing to have me answer the questions that they were asking.

"Mrs de Milo; tell us, how did you manage to lift the company out of the mud?"

"The company was drowning; which trick did you use?"

"We understand that you're opening Ani-Lan Music and Film Producing Company? How then shall you handle your CEO position with K JNR PROCUCTIONS?"

"Mrs de Milo, do you plan to become a competitor with K JNR, or you will collaborate?"

"Are you still with K JNR PRODUCTIONS?"

"Doctor de Milo, seeing that your wife has excelled this much, do you plan to have music and film production embedded in the de Milo Group? Can film production and medicine be merged in any way?"

"Who will be the CEO of Ani-Lan Music and Film Producing Company?"

My bodyguards cleared the space, and while my husband held my hand protectively, I managed to find my way to my chair. Some companies had booked interviews with me, but the interviews were not to be done on the same day.

The event was mainly hosted by KJ, as his way of appreciating his staff. He was celebrating the many awards; and he announced that was it not for me, none of them would have come to him.

"Was it not for Mrs Anisha de Milo, we would not be here today. I have immense respect for this lady. She gave in her all; working tirelessly to make sure that the awards and medals came home. Mrs Anisha de Milo; I shall be forever grateful to you.

And on that same note, let me congratulate you on the soon opening of Ani-Lan Music and Film Producing Company. I already see a giant of a company, because when I look at you, I see a giant. A fighter; a go-getter; a woman with great vision; putting passion and perfection in everything she does. I did not know perfection until I met you, Mrs de Milo. I was thinking to myself that if I am to fight for medals in the national film awards; I better fight for silver. Why do I say so? Because gold is taken. Gold is gone. It is very obvious that, at the rate that you work, Mrs de Milo, the gold will definitely follow you at Ani-Lan Music and Film Producing company. It will surely follow you there. I can never appreciate you enough for everything that you did. If you had not stood up and filled my gap, K JNR PRODUCTIONS would be history by now."

Numerous actors and actresses came to personally congratulate me for the job well done.

"Who knew that the rich also work hard?" one man said.

"They have to; because if they don't, in the morning they won't be rich anymore," I laughed.

"But, Mrs de Milo, you are the wife of a multi-billionaire, for crying out loud! Who would have thought you would work that hard? Congratulations, Mrs de Milo! We are all proud of you."

I thanked him and proceeded to talk with other people, for it sure looked like there was a queue of people intending to chat with me.

Juan and Gwen came to talk to me too. They were my two favorite people in the team, although I did my best to hide it.

"Mrs de Milo," Juan began to talk. "I must confess that I once underestimated your capabilities. I respect you a lot; you proved beyond any doubt that you were born to do this."

"Thank you," I smiled.

Juan turned to look at Dylan and said, "with your permission, doctor de Milo, may I hand over a small gift that I bought for our CEO?"

"Of course," Dylan smiled.

"Here, Mrs de Milo. This is from myself and Gwen. We appreciate you for uncovering the best in us, and making us realise the potential that we never knew we had."

I received the little box and thanked them.

"Open it," Gwen smiled.

I opened it to see a sparkling silver bracelet.

"It is silver. We hope it's pure silver. Do you wear silver, Mrs de Milo?" Gwen asked with a voice full of embarrassment.

"Of course I do," I said.

"The person who sold us said it's pure silver. We just hope it is; or else you will react to it," Juan laughed.

"We know it's not your quality, but it's the best we could do," Gwen added to what Juan was saying.

"Don't say that. I highly appreciate the gift. I love it a lot; and I will definitely wear it!" I promised them sincerely.

Juan stole a glance an Dylan, and when Dylan caught his eye, he smiled and reassured them, "you're afraid that I won't allow her to wear it? No. I'm not like that. My lovely wife can wear whatever she wants. And thank you for buying this bracelet for her."

"You're welcome, sir. If we had thought of it, we would have bought something for you as well," Juan said.

We chatted a bit more before they left.

The whole team at K JNR PRODUCTIONS had also bought me a gift. I was surprised when their representative asked everyone to sit down, and announced that the whole team; each and every one of them, from the cleaning lady to the highest level, had come together to buy me an appreciation gift. Everyone confessed that at first they had thought that I was too tough and not well equipped to stand in KJ's shoes; but they later on appreciated me, for I brought out the best in everyone. They bought me a piano, stating that they knew that I loved music, so that was their gift to me.

Numerous actors and actresses, both new and familiar faces, came to meet me, with some of them already asking for vacancies to join Ani-Lan Music and Film Producing company. Dylan and I left the event earlier than others, for I really needed to go home and take some rest.
