Chapter 17 : A day out (2)

I looked at myself from head to toe in the mirror, I turned to Millie, who was brightly smiling at me while Matteo was standing behind her, staring at me from head to toe, nodding his head.

"She looks cute doesn't she~?"

"Yep she does, she looks as cute as a little kitty would~" Matteo winked at me, making flush in embarrassment. Someone give me a frying pan maybe I can hit their head to adjust their screws in there, back to where they are suppose to be...

"Why did you make me wear this..." I lifted my hand to the cat ears wanting to take it off but Matteo grabbed my wrist, preventing me from removing it.

"Nah uh, you ain't taking those off princess~"

"Hah?!"

"He is right, you ain't taking that off Clover, your going to wear it for the rest of the day till you get home!" My eyes widened hearing that, I never agreed to it so why should I.

"Why should I do that Millie~" I evily asked her, with a so called smile. I will never go out, walking around like this, my dear goodness. I look as if I'm crazy...but not gonna lie, It does look kinda cute.

"Please Clover~ just for today. I'll pay for the things okay? Take it as a present from me."

"And you look hella cute in that~" Matteo smiled while Millie nodded her head to agree. This two just agreed on something that I would never agree to...what happened, did the ice cream bewitch them?

"Fine fine, just let me go..." Millie squealed happily like a kid that got something that they wanted. She grabbed my hands and swinged them.

"I'll go pay for the things and who knows that fellow soulmate of yours might like it~" Millie winked at me before walking off to pay for the things, while pointing at me.

What does she mean...my brain was trying to process her words into simpler words. I blushed hard, face as red as a tomato after getting what she meant. Oh Millie...

"Be a good kitty and you'll get your reward~" Matteo said, making the people around, who heard it, look at us. Oh boy...his asking for it isn't he...I glared at him with a nice smile, giving him a hard punch to the arm.

"Don't say that out loud...It's weird."

"Awww~ what are you thinking about kitten~?" Matteo leaned in while his finger gently rubbed my chin like how anyone would caress a cat but I gave him a hard head bump to his head.

"Say that one more time and we will be friends no more..."

"Okay lets go!" Millie came back to us and tilted her head, seeing that Matteo was rubbing his head while whining. My eyes drifted from Millie to her hands, I noticed a bag in her hands, that she was holding onto.

"What's that in your hand?"

"It's nothing much~" Okay, that bag better not be for me, I don't want to wear another ridiculous thing out in the wild here at the mall. This is already enough for me to handle.

"Okay...lets just get going home, Its getting late." I sighed, noticing the sky was getting dark from the glass roof that the mall has. It allowed the moonlight to shine through even though the mall has lights all around in the ceilings.

There was a fountain at the first floor of the mall, in the center while the service counter was just right behind it with just a few steps away from it.

At least the mall is somewhat still looking as good as before, since the last time I saw the place.

We all walked out the store and went down the escalator. I could feel the intense gazes from the people around the mall as we walked pass, it feels like they can drill holes in me, through my soul just from that...

I looked around the mall one last time and something caught my eyes that was in one of the shops.

"Hey you guys wait for me here, I'll be back"

"Hey Clover!" I walked towards the shop and held up the plush toy that i saw, it was a blue penguin. There were other colours like pink and black but I only took notice of the blue one.

"It's cute~" I smiled, squeezing the penguin happily and decided to get it for Zeke. I felt that it nearly resembled the colour of his eyes, even though his eyes were a shade of a darker blue.

"I hope he likes it!" After paying for it, I skipped back to where Millie and Matteo were.

"Where did you go and what did you get?" Millie questioned, looking at me with one of her eyebrows raised. 

"Just went to get something for Zeke~"

"Seriously...?" Matteo muttered out, thinking that I couldn't hear it. I looked at him and smiled.

"I'm serious about it." Matteo sighed and ruffled my hair. I don't know why he said it but it seems like he was unhappy?

"Okay okay. Let's go shall we?"

"But we haven't explored the mall finish yet~"

"We can come another time but for now, let's just head home..." I replied back, Millie pouted and followed along. We started walking home peacefully, the lampposts were brightly lighting up the pathways as it also illuminated the shadows of ours.

"Well my house is the round the corner. You both get home safe and here this is for you, open it when you get home!" Millie handed me the bag she was holding before at the shop.

"What now..."

"Just open it when you get home~ bye, stay safe and you! Take care of her." Millie pointed at Matteo, giving a deadly glare to him before waving to the both of us.

We carried on with our walk home, the bag Millie gave me seems a little light...I just hoped that this bag wasn't for me but who knew, it was really actually for me.

The walk home was quiet that you can hear the crickets high pitched sound but what makes it even more tense is the atmosphere...

"Do you know what is in the bag?" I blurted out, asking out of my curiousity of the bag I'm holding. I'm tempted to open it but Millie said not to...maybe just a small peek?

"I'm not too sure about it and no peeking." Matteo stopped me from opening the bag. I turned to him and pouted.

"Why can't I just take a peek, it's just a small peek~"

"No means no kitten~" Matteo ruffled my hair, making the headband shift a little. I smacked his hand away from my head, adjusting the headband and walked faster, ahead of him.

"Hey, don't leave me here!" Matteo ran up to me, following along like a bodyguard would for their masters.

"Why aren't you going home?"

"I wanna make sure you get home safely first before I go. It's not safe for a girl to walk alone, out at night." He reasoned out, what else can I say...I said nothing more and let him send me back to Zeke's house.

"I wonder if he is waiting for me..." I muttered out softly, looking at the ground. Most likely not, he wouldn't want to bother with someone like me...

Without knowing, we had already reached outside of Zeke's house. I looked into the house, that didn't had a single light on.

"Umm...thanks escorting me home. It's getting late, you better get home safe, I'll go in then, see you tomorrow~"

"Sure, sleep early Kitten, have a good rest." I glared at him but he smiled, waving at me before walking off into the night.

"What a day..." I opened the door and entered the house. The lights weren't on and I didn't see Zeke anywhere either, maybe his in his room.

I locked the door and went up into my room, trying not to make any loud noises to prevent myself getting seen by him like this. 

I layed on my bed as soon as I reached my room, feeling the softness of the mattress made me feel like I'm in heaven. I had a great day today, it was fun...

"Ah right the bag." I sat up, taking the bag in my hand and opened it. I took out what seemed like a outfit?

"Is this some kind of cosplay outfit..." I mumbled, looking at the outfit I held in my hands, examining it.

It was a maid outfit coloured in black and white with some pink stripes on it and a big white ribbon on the back of the dress. There was a heart shaped cut out, above where the chest is and it came with a collar...? 

The collar was a simple black colour with two thin strips of black lace, to tie it together into a bow when I put it on. It even had a small silver bell attached at the front of it, that surprisingly works.

I put the collar on my bed and tried on the outfit with the cat ears headband and tail still on. I twirled around at the mirror, taking a look at myself.

I'll say it's not bad but why would she buy this for me anyways...is there any parties in school that requires cosplaying or is there a special occasion that I don't know about here?

"What are you doing...?"
