Once Zain was back Alex had him get on his back before taking off into the air were the little wyvern followed him eagerly. "I can never get over how jealous I am of the view you get from up here." Zain said honestly once they reached high up in the air. 'And I'm jealous of how you can use your hands to do delicate tasks , I'd say we're even.' Alex shot back half jokingly. Zain laughed at that but could understand what Alex was talking about after seeing him struggle to latch up his armor before the siege.

Large digits that end in massive sharp claws don't make very good tools for delicate work at all , save maybe slicing things up carefully. Before altitude sickness could set in Zain , Alex had already brought them to the edge of the ancient forest. The little one was very excited to be out in a natural environment rather than in astera and was curiously examining everything. The funniest part was when it grabbed a flash bug with it's teeth only to have it's whole mouth light up like a lightbulb. The two "adults" merely waited until the little one was done exploring before they moved on into the forest itself.

Alex pushed the little wyvern in front of him towards Zain while bringing up the rear of the group before blending into the shadows. "It's creepy how easily you manage to vanish despite your size." Zain said while looking at the spot Alex vanished into. 'Meh , it makes hunting easier so I can't complain.' Alex said calmly. "I don't doubt it at all , even despite knowing you are right there I can't see any trace of you at all." Zain said seriously. Alex tapped him on the shoulder from behind 'that's because I'm not there.' He said teasingly.

Zain shivered slightly "it's a good thing you're on my side , I didn't even see you leave that area." he said honestly while turning around to look at Alex's new spot. 'Wouldn't be very good camouflage if you could.' Alex said while waving his claws into and out of the sunlight for Zain to see. 'I just so happen to be the undefeated hide and seek champion back in astera I'll have you know.' Alex joked getting a chuckle out of Zain. 'Speaking of seeking I can hear some jagras up ahead for you and the little one to start out with.' Alex said seriously.

Zain nodded and waved at the small wyvern to follow him which it did without any issue since despite not being able to see Alex it could still tell he was there. Monster may not be sapient but they were all born clever enough to be taught fairly easily. With enough exposure to people a monster may even be able to roughly figure out language and symbols. This was ironically how Saya's village originally came about as it's founder had coincidentally hatched a monster egg he found.

For the little wyvern it was spoiled for human interaction and as a result was learning by leaps and bounds. The funny thing was that in astera only Saya was aware that there was basically no chance that the little wyvern would go feral and attack making the reluctance to name it everyone had pointless. By taking care of it and feeding it , to the wyvern everyone in astera was part of it's territory and as a result it had no problem at all working for their benefit. This was shown when Zain pointed out the group of four jagras and it charged into the fray without hesitation leaving both Alex and Zain speechless.

The group of jagras were viciously torn apart by the little wyvern that had appeared out of no where. Alex could only grimace at how inefficient the fighting method of the little one was however as it only attacked wildly. 'Looks like that's a thing I need to fix as well , but at least it has no problem hunting.' he thought to himself. Zain didn't see any problem with it's method of hunting since most monsters fought like that but he shared the secondary sentiment that Alex had.
