Wang Ling's one man show

With the call of Jiang Wen, everything seems to erupt as Wang Ling moved quicker than the rest. He dash forth with spear in hand and embodied the look of an indomitable General who had fought in thousands of wars.

Wang Ling quickly reached the first student and without any hesitation, he used his spear to send that student flying with a slap on the face. With his merciless opening, the students woke up from their stupor and began coming to Wang Ling.

They brandished their swords, fist, spear, elemental cultivations and many other form of weapons they had in their arsenal. A bombardment of torrential spirit qi exploded towards Wang Ling.

It was terrifying, it was as if a gigantic tsunami of spirit qi was going to destroy a single target. The force of this unintentional combination from the student was enough to make the audience feel bad for Wang Ling's fate.

This was the end and in the minds of many, it happened too fast.

However, Wang Ling had no plan being defeated. While everyone was on the edge of their seats, he stood his ground. Holding his spear against the wave of oncoming spirit qi, Wang Ling's concentration soared.

His supreme spirit qi began to envelop his body and then his spear. His spear mastery went from an ordinary spearman to something else entirely. Just like his sword mastery, Wang Ling's spear reached [Spear Soul].

The tip of his spear shone a terrifying glint and because no one was on his level of mastery on that place, no one managed to see through his spear. What they saw was a man about to commit suicide.

Jiang Wen and the rest began to worry, they were about to move in when they noticed that Wang Ling's spirit qi was ever evolving. From soft to fierce, from elegance to savageness.

Wang Ling was evolving and as his spirit qi settled into one form of intent, Wang Ling had become the embodiment of the spear itself. As to what kind of intent he had settled upon, it was simply, power.

His spirit qi began to churn, every part of his body synched with one another. He held his spear tightly and formed a thrusting motion. He recalled everything from his mind, he recalled his 'self-created' movement that destroyed thousands and millions of enemies.

Four of his nine qi pillars were instantaneously drained.

His eyes displayed what used to be his former self and as it did the tsunami of spirit qi reached his face and his spear was thrusted forward.

"PIERCE!" Wang Ling's voice echoed and the arena seem to have trembled. His spear carried his will to power rendered tsunami of spirit qi to bits.

His spear met with the tsunami and pierced a large hole on its surface. He was unable to completely destroy it but that was enough. His feet moved and he dove into the hole he had created.

Along the way, some of the torrential spirit qi attacked him and got on his way. He was inflicted with minor injuries yet Wang Ling didn't stop. His eyes was focus on the first student he laid his eyes upon.

His unique devilish pupils made the student shudder. That particular student felt the need to run away, but before he could finalize his thoughts, Wang Ling had already passed through the tsunami of spirit qi.

He landed on the platform and one of his qi pillars halved. Moving in, he quickly reached that shuddering student and swept him up from the ground with his spear. Wang Ling then sent that student flying through the air with a kick on the abdomen.

Bang!

As if he was a bulldozer, Wang Ling began plowing through the opposition. His spirit qi was dense enough and powerful enough to support any and every movement he wanted to do.

He sent every other students flying with a bang and they all groaned in pain. Others retaliated and attacked him from all sides, wanting to catch him off guard, but Wang Ling's Ocean's Lull was activated and every little detail about the fight flowed in his mind seamlessly.

Wang Ling process all those information as quick as he could and parried everything. He block and dodge the skills he can't parry while still decimating everyone on his path.

Bang! Boom! Shua! Hong!

A number of sounds began to sound out from the platform. Wang Ling's one man show made the audience intoxicated with fervor.

Seeing how Wang Ling move like a great general, they all cheered for this to continue. The show they were promised was being played out in front of them and no one dared to blink.

Boom!

At this moment, Wang Ling had managed to charge through the middle of the students. Only a few remains and they were the strongest of the bunch.

There were 13 remaining opponent for him to beat. One of them was someone named Ren Zhou. He was one of the strongest competitor to win set A being a direct disciple of a Head Teacher.

Ren Zhou looked at Wang Ling and asked him as all of them chose to halt the fighting for a second, "I heard you were a one-armed swordsman, but not only are you wielding a spear, you even have both arms. You're really weird…"

Ren Zhou was talking casually when Wang Ling suddenly moved in and used his spear to pierce Ren Zhou. Ren Zhou was frightened at this attack and block with the sword on his hand.

However, Wang Ling's spear was too fast and too fierce. The sword he was using was split in two with a crisp sound of something breaking in half. With the breaking of his sword, Wang Ling stopped his spear and moved himself before giving Ren Zhou a good kick on the face.

Wang Ling's foot came from above and sent Ren Zhou crashing down on the platform. There was blood coming from his head. He wanted to ask Wang Ling why he suddenly attack but the answer came to his ears quick enough before he could eke out his question.

"I want to end this quickly. So don't waste my time like this guy." Wang Ling gave Ren Zhou one more hit on the face just for the heck of it before moving on.

Ren Zhou lost consciousness and that was how Ren Zhou was kicked out of the contenders.

Wang Ling moved and continued demolishing everyone with ease. By the time his qi pillars were reduced to three, Wang Ling was already standing in the middle of the platform with everyone of set A groaning in pain around him.

Wang Ling threw the last student he had beaten up away and stretched his body as if he had just experienced a slightly strenuous exercise. He turn to look at Jiang en who was speechlessly flying in the air and commented.

"Are you not going to announce my victory or do you want me to break some bones before you do so?" Wang Ling asked in an impatient manner.

Jiang Wen found his words disrespectful but he did not comment on anything else. He raised his right hand and announced the winner of set A.

"Everyone in set A has been defeated. Only one remains so the winner of set A is Wang Ling."

The crowd cheered and those who doubted Wang Ling was left speechless. Especially those students a part of the Ancient Scripture Academy. They thought that Wang Ling was only posturing and trying to act tough, but who would have thought that he would be so brilliant?

When they saw him standing there, with his back straight and spear in hand. They felt their hearts move as if they were ordinary maidens looking at their idol. It was weird for them.

The elegant lady was surprise and had wanted to say something to Yan Renhuo but by the time she turned around. Yang Renhuo was already gone and she didn't know where she had went.

"Where did she go?" the elegant lady asked. The only who noticed her leave step forth and answered.

"She left just before student Wang Ling got the chance to finish the fight. It seems like she was going out to look for him."

The elegant looking lady felt a headache appearing. She knew that coming here with Yan Renhuo would be a pain, but who would've thought that it would be this much of a pain? She stood up and went out to find Yan Renhuo herself.

In the area of True Devil Academy, Xie Hai was looking at Wang Ling fiercely. Although it was not still a concrete idea. He was already quite sure that this Wang Ling fellow was someone from the Wang family.

As for the area of the Emperor, Chang Shi was clapping and smiling as he watch Wang Ling's show.

"He really is Brother Wang Shu Qing's son! Are you sure that he's a master swordsman? That spear of his looked like it could pierce the heaven, oh my! Ha ha, brother Wang and sister-in-law is truly blessed with good children.""

Chang Shi was celebrating Wang Shu Qing's luck. Chang Yun was also happy and in awe of Wang Ling's skills, he too was a master of the spear, but he was not on par with Wang Ling.

He had thought that Wang Ling was a master of the sword, but who would've thought that he too was someone who followed the path of the spear? In the back of his head, Chang Yun was considering if he should follow his sister's actions and ask Wang Ling to teach him.

Wang Ling got down from the platform and quickly left that place for somewhere quiet. He met with Bai Xue near the entrance of the colosseum and she immediately went up his shoulder to rest.

Bai Xue then yawned and asked him, "That little action of yours is quite good, I reckon the people of the seven great academies are eyeing you now."

Wang Ling nodded his head.

"So, where are you going? Are you going to cultivate again?"

Wang Ling once again nodded his head. He was just about to call for Qigang when he noticed that someone was quickly coming his way.

A moment, he turn around and saw a red haired lady with a set of sharp teeth. That lady had a peculiar aura around her and was bursting with energy. Wang Ling was on guard as he was unfamiliar with her. Bai Xue was the same.

"May I know what do you want from me?" Wang Ling asked the lady.

 "You're Wang Ling right?"

"That is me indeed."

The red haired lady smiled and said, "That is perfect, I have found great interest in you and I have been looking for a dao companion. I saw your fight and your great fighting capabilities, you have talent and mindset of someone who is the best, I deem you worthy to be with me. Now, why don't you become my dao companion?"

"No." Wang Ling answered as quickly as he could.
