Hero Killer: Stain(1)

"Huh? Why're you all dirty and stinky, kid?" Gran Torino pinched his nose and fanned in front of his face. "Did you dive into a dumpster?"

"Haha, no." Izuku gave a tired smile. "I was just, uh, practicing."

Izuku and I stayed up practically the entire night. I was giving Izuku a few lessons on how he should use his Quirk. I knew it's harder then it looks, but why hasn't he gotten it down yet? Why didn't he think about this before the whole internship scenario? Oh, yeah, that's right. He's just that dumb.

"Oh, well." Gran Torino shrugged, completely blowing off the fact that Izuku needed a shower. "Heat up some taiyaki! I'm starving!"

Izuku grabbed a bag of taiyaki from the freezer and put them on a large plate. He put it in the microwave and pressed defrost, leaving the pastries to heat up.

"Oh, that reminds me! I have something to tell you." Izuku raised a finger and point it to the sky. "Yuno-kun helped me figure out how to use my Quirk without exploding!"

"Oh?" Gran Torino tiled his head. "Who are you again?"

"Ah!"

I snickered and covered my face with the book in my hand. Izuku has really been taking this a little too seriously. Gran Torino is just testing him, that's all. Ignoring Gran Torino, Izuku started muttering to himself about One For All and how it worked and what else he needed to do to perfect his abilities.

"Izuku-san, I'm telling you right now," I said while closing my book. "Just attack him. Attack while he's making fun of you. It's that easy."

"But that's not civilized!" Izuku waved his hands around. "Plus, if I were to attack now, I still don't know about how well I'd work under these circumstances. It'll be somewhat difficult since we're inside a pretty small building, so I would have to- AH!"

Izuku was cut off by Gran Torino, who had kicked him in the back and used him as a landing platform before jumping back toward the walls.

"Three minutes." I said while starting a timer in my phone.

"What? Three minutes for what?" Izuku said while trying to dodge Gran Torino, only to fail and get hit every single time.

"Three minutes to land a hit in him. Shouldn't be to hard. Like I said yesterday. Don't try, just do it."

I could see Izuku was failing avoid Gran Torino's attacks. He just kept getting hit, unable to keep track of the pattern. Before I could say anything, he dived under the couch and pulled his arms in.

"C'mooon!" He yelled in confidence.

"I can still see you, kid." Gran Torino said while zooming toward the couch before it came blasting up toward him. He dodged the suddenly flying couch and saw Izuku zooming toward him with a Smash ready to be let loose.

Izuku tried to grab Gran Torino, but missed since he dodged it to his surprise. The cans on the shelf fell over from the wind Izuku's attack created. Gran Torino jumped off the wall from behind and reached his arms out to grab Izuku. Before he could even get there, Izuku jumped up toward the ceiling with One For All, catching Gran Torino off guard.

Izuku pushed off the ceiling and loaded another Smash. He reached out for Gran Torino and tried grabbing him again. Gran Torino dodged to the side, then jumped off the wall again and kicked Izuku, who slammed into the wall and slid down.

"Three minutes." I said, announcing that the timer was finished.

"It's hard just to keep it going…" Izuku muttered while rubbing his back. "I've still got a long way to go."

"No," Gran Torino disagreed. "You were able to attack me when I was unguarded through analysts and prediction. You think about a lot of stuff normally, don't you, kid? Just since yesterday, you've already changed a lot with just one attempt." He wiped away a cut on his cheek and smiled before glancing over at Izuku, who was muttering to himself again.

"Mutter on your own time!" I scolded Izuku and threw my book at him.

"All right, now you've gotta get used to it!" Gran Torino pointed at Izuku. "Let's keep right on going! Oh, but before that…I realized we haven't had breakfast."

"Ah, we haven't!" Izuku panicked.

"Yeah! Let's go have some taiya- …they fell over?!"

"It's nothing to get all panicky about." I said while pulling my hood up and putting my phone in my pocket. "I'll go get some more taiyaki."

"Ah," Izuku rushed to pull his jacket on. "I'll come too!"

I rolled my eyes, watching Izuku try to catch up to me as we walked through the crowded city. At some point, I started a light jog, trying to get away from him. He only ran faster to catch up. So stubborn.

"Man, you're such a stubborn person." I said while climbing up a streetlight and squatting down at the top. "I guess that can be somewhat positive in certain situations."

"Huh?" Izuku looked around. "Wha- ah…AHHH! What are you doing up on that?!"

"Just chilling."

"But, what about Gran Torino's taiyaki? We still have to go and get it."

"Jeez, lighten up. You need to relax. You're never going to master your Quirk like that." I jumped down from the streetlight and pulled my hood off.

Izuku thought really hard about what I said as we bought the taiyaki and walked back to Gran Torino's. He was overthinking all of this.

Day three of the internship and Izuku was still failing to land a hit on Gran Torino. He slammed into the wall and slid down, a little bit of blood dripping from his nose.

"Hmm," Gran Torino gave a thoughtful look. "Let's stop now. If you fight against my tactics more than this, you might fall into weird habits."

"I can't even think about tactics right now!" Izuku denied. "I'm still not used to this! Please let me fight more!"

"No, no, that's enough." Gran Torino smirked. "Let's move into phase two. Put your costume on. You too, Yuno-san! In other words, let's go fight some villains!"

"What?! So suddenly?!"

I threw Izuku's briefcase that held his hero costume and rolled my eyes as he caught it. "Just put it on. Don't make anything difficult."

"Hm, he seems a little on edge this morning." I overheard Izuku as he put his hero costume on.

"Ehh, he's always like that." Gran Torino muttered. "Makes you feel bad for him."

"What?"

"…wait, who are you?"

"WHAT?!"

Last night was the worst night of my life. Yesterday, when Izuku and Gran Torino went to bed, I decided to sneak out. Nighttime was always my favorite time of the day. It's quiet and dark, no one bothers you, it's just yhr best time of the day. There's just one thing about last night that made me really pissed…Kage and Yurei, number two heroes, the shadow duo…my fucking parents. Apparently, they've been looking for me in all the different cities. Well, they found me and decided that now was the time to "grow up." You know what, fuck growing up. They're the ones who gave me this future and I intend to keep it like this.

Instead of blowing it off and ignoring them, I yelled at them and ran off. There was no way I would be staying with them any longer then that. They messed up my entire night just to tell me that they needed me to come back. Their goal to become stronger then All Might is ridiculous.

"Now then," Gran Torino broke me of my thoughts about last night as we drove in the taxi. "We'll be going out Shibuya. Small fights occur on a daily basis. If you keep fighting only me, then you won't know what to do in a different situation."

Izuku nodded, then started muttering to himself again. And then he started yelling. "Wait, I didn't think I'd be wearing my costume in such a fancy place! Oh, Shibuya. That's means we'll be taking a bullet train from Kofy to Shinjuku, right?"

"We'll be passing through Hosu." I finished what I knew Izuku was thinking. "Yeah, that's where the Hero Killer has been."

On the train, heading toward Shikuya. Izuku really didn't understand, so of course, Gran Torino had to explain to the idiot. We'd arrive by nighttime, meaning there would me more fights.

"That's strange…" Izuku muttered to himself. "Usually, Tenya-kun would answer within three minutes of reading a text."

"What?" I asked while lifting my head up from my phone.

"Tenya-kun. All Might was saying that he'd be passing through Hosu, and then he asked how Tenya-kun is doing. He never answered back, even though the text says it's read."

"Leave him alone. He's probably still having a hard time with his brother's situation."

"Yeah…"

"Hey, that building exploded!" Some of the passengers in the train looked out the window.

"Yeah, you're right! It's on fire!"

Suddenly, a hero and something else crashed into the train, creating a hole in the metal car. I recognized that creature, a Nomu, something that belongs to Tomura. What's that reckless zombie doing now?

"You two, stay here!" Gran Torino demanded before zooming toward the Nomu and flying out of the train, crashing into buildings before disappearing in the dust and smoke.

"Gran Torino!" Izuku called out to him, only to get no answer.

"Let's go, you idiot." I said as I jumped out of the train. "You're not going to sit there, are you?"

Izuku grit his teeth and jumped out of the train, following after me with his Quirk active. We jumped from building to building, looking over to see all the fire. Two more Nomu's. They're the cause of the fire. Heroes were struggling to maintain the disaster. They didn't understand the strength of the Nomu, unable to defeat them. The only person known to the public able to defeat a Nomu is All Might.

"There's Manual! That's who Tenya-kun is interning with!" Izuku pointed out the hero in a blue hero suit. "But…where's Tenya-kun?"

"Being an idiot." I answered as I jumped across the rooftops, looking down to see if Tenya was in any of them. I thought to myself as Izuku followed me. Tenya's brother, Ingenium, was attacked in Hosu. Tenya decided to intern in Hosu, where the Hero Killer was last seen. He's trying to chase down Stain, stupid idiot. Actually, now that I think about it, why isn't Kisu doing anything about this?!

"Yuno-kun?" Izuku interrupted my thoughts as we jumped rooftop to rooftop. "Do you have an idea of what Tenya-kun was might've been feelings the day we left the train station?"

"Izuku-san." I stopped jumping and turned to him. "I can't tell what someone is feeling with my intelligence. That's not how it works. Knowing Tenya-san has been dealing with his brothers' accident, he probably feels uneasy and angry."

"Ah, yeah. You're right."

"I have come to stop you, because he can't anymore!" Izuku and I heard a voice from below us, inside an alleyway.

"Tenya-san, you idiotic boy! Don't provoke him! You're already giving off the vibe that you want revenge!" Kisu's voice. So she was doing something, she just didn't text or call me about anything.

"Ingenium, huh? I see." A view voice came into play. The Hero Killer. "You're brothers? I let him live so word about me would spread."

Izuku and I looked over the edge of the roof to see Stain attacking Tenya. Tenya was about to kick Stain before he was stabbed in the shoulder with the spikes in Stain's shoes. Talk about killer boots, and I don't mean that as a joke.

"You're weak." Stain said as he pinned Tenya down with his foot and raised his sword. The sharp point of the sword stabbed through Tenya's shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised if the point of the sword reached the other side. "You and your brother are weak. Because you're fakes."

"He's paralyzed from the waist down due to spinal cord damage! He can't work as a hero anymore! I won't forgive you…I'll kill you, dammit!"

"Save her first." Stain pointed at Kisu, who had a knife in her arm and was sitting on the ground, paralyzed from his Quirk. Reflect on yourself and save others. Being taken in by the hatred before you and trying to fulfill your desires…this is the furthest of what a hero should be." Stain licked the blood on his sword, causing his Quirk to activate. For some people, Stain is considered overpowered. When he licks someone's blood, they become temporarily paralyzed. The length of time depends on the person's blood type.

"Goodbye, brat." Stain said as he raised his sword, ready to stab Tenya in the head. "You're an offering to a more just world."

"SMAAAASH!"

Izuku's fist made contact with Stain's face, sending him slamming into a wall. Such an entrance, are you trying to be cool or something, Izuku? Cause that was a pretty good entrance.

"Hey, there, Hero Killer." I said as I jumped down from the roof. "This is ridiculous."

"Yuno-kun!" Kisu exclaimed with a relived voice. "Why didn't you come earlier?! What was I supposed to do here alone, huh?!"

"Shut up. I'm here, aren't I?"

"I- Izuku-kun? Yuno-kun?" Tenya questioned his sanity. "What are you doing here?"

I rolled my eyes and pulled down on my tie, loosening it as it dangled around my neck. "Jeez, why do you think we're here? Are you stupid or something? Whatever, it's not like you'd know why."

"We're here to save you, Tenya-kun! Kisu-chan!" Izuku confirmed with the victims of Stain.

"This doesn't involve you!" Tenya denied our assistance. "This has nothing to do with you!"

What a selfish prick. Denying help when you clearly need it isn't exactly something you should do. In fact, you shouldn't ever do that unless you know that you can handle it yourself.

"Your friend came to save you, huh?" Stain asked Tenya. "That's a great line, isn't it? But I have a duty to kill him. If we clash, of course, the weaker will by culled. Now, what will you do?"

Izuku grit his teeth nervously. I saw in his hand, held behind his back, he sent our location to someone. Paranoid as hell if you ask me.

"Stop it! Run away!" Tenya demanded. "This has nothing to do with you! This is with me and the Hero Kill-"

"If we don't do anything, then the heroes won't be able to do anything either." I said in an irritated tone. "Even if we didn't engage in fighting, we'd still involve ourselves."

"It's just like All Might says." Izuku said as he raised his fist. "Meddling when you don't need to us the essence of being a hero!"

Izuku rushed at Stain with his new and improved Quirk. He calls this improvement Full Cowling. Stain swung his sword with a wicked smile, causing Izuku to duck. Stain reached for his knife and swung it out toward Izuku, who dodged the sharp blade and disappeared behind Stain.

"Wait, you idiot!" I yelled at Izuku, telling hi to stop.

"I'm Five percent, Detroit…" Izuku said as he loaded a punch from above Stain. "SMASH!" His fist landed on Stain, shoving his face down into the ground. "Did it work?" Izuku whispered to himself as he landed on the ground, on his hands and knees.

Stain grinned and brought the knife to his mouth. He licked the small drop of blood, causing Izuku to become paralyzed. Just why? Why did he make such a stupid move? Oy vey.

"You didn't see through my movements. You just maneuvered through my own movements." Stain said as he walked away from Izuku. "And you," he then pointed his sword at me. "What are you going to do?"

I poked the sharp point of the sword and pushed it down. "Well, first of all, don't point such a sharp object at me. Second of all, why kill him?"

"He's a fake. Look at him, his eyes are full of vengeance. Not a fraction of his soul carries the need to rescue and save. He's blinded by anger. I have a duty-"

"To kill him?" I cut him off. "Isn't that what's happening to you? Blinded by anger, frustration, rejection? You're attacking mindlessly, not thinking about other heroes. Let me ask you something," I said as I walked over and toward Izuku. "What do you think of him?" I gestured over to Izuku who was still in the ground paralyzed. "Sure, he's protecting the one who you want to kill, which makes him an obstacle. But you have to admit, he did come to save his dear friend."

Stain grit his teeth and scowled at me. I knew he was thinking to himself that Izuku came to Tenya's rescue and temporarily saved him, until Izuku became paralyzed himself. Stain held a knife in his hand and the sword in the other, growling at me.

"I acknowledge him. For trying to save those dear to him."
