Soul hunting

The sound of the shower water could be heard hitting the tiles of the ground, as soap foam washes off the muscular body of Koyomi.

Today was going to be a busy day for Koyomi; his true objective was approaching Ram and stealing her memories for himself to track and locate the Witch of Greed tomb, or the resting place of Echidna.

However, there is but one problem with this plan.

"Ram would be Roswal's weakest link yes... But I don't even know where the Roswall manor is, to begin with; however, if I can find Arlams village. I could find their manor... Then and again I don't want to ask someone who knows where lord Roswaal's personally where his residence is... If that's the case I would either have to find it on my own or extract the information from someone else, he's quite popular so it shouldn't be hard."

"Then and again; I could also go on a different route for the time being. The witches of sins are like End games equipment in this world; well that is if your Helena who has the capabilities to weaponize the soul of others."

"Hmm. Well, either way... Everything will fall into place eventually. Till then I guess I could wait, I do have a greater goal, yes im trying to cultivate ten thousand souls, and im more than halfway there, I should focus on this first."

Koyomi announces as he began to dry himself off with his towel; from there he proceeds to regenerate his usual set of clothes around his body.

Moments later Koyomi made his way back to his office; there he met Helena sharpening her sword with a file made from her fingernail, and speaking of the swords Koyomi discover something amazing last night.

The swords he got from Samuels, were not normal Nichirin blades, no they were Nichirin blades only a Hashira would have... On both blades, we're the words "Destroyer of Demons" This could only mean one thing, That Samuel guy is a Hashira.

*Sigh!* "Samuel Lucifer wasn't a character in the original Demon Slayer universe; meaning that he was variant in this world. Interesting, really interesting indeed."

"Apart from that though, I think I have finished my preparation to start my day; so let's get going, Helena; those ten thousand souls won't collect themselves you know."

Helena then walks up to Koyomi and hand him his briefcase that had his Jackle in it, along with his pair of Nichirin swords; Koyomi place them to his side; and before he left he took his treasured red Fedora from off his desk and place it on his head.

With this done, he places his hands in front of him and summons forth a door that would lead him to the outside world.

"Well then, let's start our day Helena, hop on."

Helena immediately complied with his orders, and jump on his back, as Koyomi exited the door, the entrance of the coffin open up, and from it emerged Koyomi and Helena as the both of them were greeted by the bright morning sun, to normal vampires, this thing would be the devil itself.

However, to Koyomi and Helena, this was just a giant floating orb in space.

Koyomi look around him, and the first thing saw was the fluffy surface of the clouds; with his coffins moving along with it; the hard winds hit him.

"It's very windy today, meaning we most likely have drifted away from Lugnica capital already... Hmmm, I wonder where we are."

Stated Koyomi who began to walk on the clouds as he make his way to the edge of it, he was high up, so he need to use his divine protection of Aim-Bot to increase his range of sight, and what he saw was followed.

"Thick trees, and bumpy terrain of rocks and mountains, yeah were essentially deep in the forest, in conclusion, I have no fucking idea where we are, oh well... I just have to find civilization, I don't think we are in another country, where still in Lugnica, but I love adventure as well... Maybe we can find some interesting monsters here as well maybe some Demons or Mabeast."

"Well then, down we go."

And like that, Koyomi began to walk down to land treating the air as nothing more than a staircase, on his back was Helena, and behind him was his coffin that just follows him wherever he goes, he took about thirty minutes seeing he was taking his slow time, but his speed was quick to normal people.

"Alright solid ground Helena, you can jump off now."

At that order, Helena jump off his back, and walk beside him, currently speaking the two of them were surrounded by greenery on all four corners.

Giant trees surround them; the sound of birds chirping, branches being scrapped by the winds, and the smell of nature encompasses his scent of smell.

"Honestly this place is weird; these trees are larger than any tree I have seen on Earth."

"Although I must say, it's quite peaceful here... This scenery and atmosphere remind me a lot of home, yeah back at the farm life as a whole was relatively quiet, the sound of birds was the closes thing to music there, and the large trees, along with the massive amount of greenery make me feel separated from civilization, I love it."

"But let's not dilly-dally Helena, where should we go next hmmm... North, East, west, or South... Eh, let's go North."

After quickly deciding, Helena and Koyomi headed North, the two of them had no idea where they are, or where they were going, but this made the adventure all the more exciting.

Albeit five minutes barely pass before the pair began to hear roars all around them.

¡WRAHAHAA!

Koyomi instantly closes his eyes, as he began to concentrate, he could feel the vibration of the beast, he could see their shapes, just by vibrations alone.

"Seven coming from the north ahead of us."

"Five more from the East."

"Nine from the south."

"And finally three from the West closing in quickly... Wolf-like bodies, seem to be a pack of sorts, and twenty-four in total, interesting... The way they are closing in on all four sides as if they were coordinating and watching us for a while, most likely from when we landed or a little bit above steerable range when descending... Either way, an enemy is an enemy."

However when Helena heard this she once again ask.

"Enemies are quickly approaching us, North, East, West, and South, permission to kill till all targets have been eternally silenced."

*Sigh!* "Permission granted."

"Permission to destroy has been granted optimizing a suitable battle mode to apprehend the enemy."

Upon saying this, Helena's body began to morph into a pure black mist with red outlines, similar to what Alucard does when he wants to render enemy attacks useless against him, the ground began to flood with a sea of shadows with eyes and mouths.

And seconds later a large amount scary looking wolf coated in black and brown hide, along with spikes and multiple horns on its body jumped from the sides of the forest, however before they even get near Koyomi, they are grabbed by a series of shadow-like hands made from Helena's body and pulled into the sea.

They keep coming from multiple directions, however, just like the other, Helena shapes her abstract body into a series of hands and simply pulled them into her, mostly likely devouring them from within.

This continued till all twenty-four of them ceased to exist, and when the coast was cleared the misty sea of blood and shadows began to retract into a singular point, and Helena began to reforge back to her original form.

And not even a single drop of blood remained, she devoured them completely, if not instantly.

Helena then look at me with her usual emotionless expression and said.

"All targets have been neutralized and contained down to the spiritual level."

Koyomi smiled at the emotionless girl and gave her head part and said.

"Good girl, I believe those were the Mabeast right and the most common ones, if my memories serve me right they are called Wolgarms right ?"

"I cannot answer as they have no idea what they are based on memory."

"I see, but they do look like them though, so they probably are, though a coordinated attack like that is only possible if a boss Wolgarms planned it, so based on memory where is the bastard?"

"Based on their memory the pack hideout is deeper in the southern area of this place, approximately, five miles from here to be precise."

Koyomi smiles gently as he tilts his head south, as he said.

"I see, I see... Ah, I love it when all the enemy is together in one spot it makes our job a whole lot easier, well then let's go for an enthusiastic walk partner me and you, guns blazing and sword swinging, albeit total number based on memories."

"Based on numbers alone, I have counted a total of 629 of them, however, there might be more."

Spoke Helena.

"Oh. That's a big pack then, well either way let's clean them out one by one."

"Affirmative."

With a new goal in mind, both Koyomi and Helena head toward the south, their goal and objective were clear; to acquire more strength by taking more souls.

[Ubuyashiki residence]

"Tengen... Shinobu... I hope the both of you are doing well."

Kagaya Ubuyashiki said as he sensed two presences behind him, he look onward into the Sky, it was a beautiful morning, and the birds were chirping, the wind was blowing and the sun was shining, and he got to experience all these joys.

A joy no Demon was allowed to experience. However as joyful and blissful as it is; some things must be done. It was his duty to lead his Hashira.

Especially with his family who has been at war with Muzan for generations.

Meanwhile, a flashy Demon slayer and a smiling poisonous butterfly came upon the orders of their lord Kagaya Ubuyashiki, a genius and prodigy.

Normally the Hashira is only called when something of great issue emerges.

Both Tengen and Shinobu knew this, including the other Hashira as well. The first to talk was Tengen as he said.

"Lord Ubuyashiki; is this sudden summon another upper moon problem, or is it related to the event that happen last night at Lugnica?"

"Ara-Ara, they sure have been active lately have they."

However, Ubuyashiki was in a good mood, and yes today's meeting was specifically important, there was a reason he call only for Tengen and Shinobu specifically.

"Tengen & Shinobu thank you for coming, I have summoned the two of you here based on your skill and specialties, as usual, we have a job, however, it's not just Demons, no the witch cult are also involved."

At this point, two of them had unreadable expressions on their face, Tengen being cool-headed, and Shinobu hiding behind a fake smile like usual; but deep down they were worried.

But Tengen did reply as such.

"So it's true, Muzan has joined hands with the witch cult... Tsk."

"From one disaster to another."

Followed up with Shinobu.

"But what's the Job, my lord...

"Your job is simple really; reckon, rescue, and medic support, apparently Harmony village was attacked last night by the witch cult member who was being led by the upper three, however, a problem Arise one of our biggest backers lives at the village next door, if he dies we would take a huge financial blow 25%, please rescue him, and provide support to the injured, and if it arises that you do encounter upper three escape immediately and if a direct battle with the enemy is unavoidable, then, please fight to the best of your abilities."

At that thought Shinobu remembers a very religious village she visit once to get a certain plant that would have made the Wisteria ten times potent, as she said at the realization.

"Wait if I remember correctly the village next door to Harmony village is...

"Yes, that's right Shinobu, the village next door is Shenron village, it's a very sacred place... Monks are trained there... But I fear not even them can take on a Demon, especially one of the upper rank."
