Wolf King and Walking Wolfnip.

Bedeila and Connor rushed through the trees with extreme trouble. Every soldier was being forced to walk around with their max limit of weight, but when the gravity was doubled that doubled their weight. The only reason they had not collapsed was that their nanomachines and quirks were working overtime to deal with the strain.

Mathew could lower or increase the gravity at his leisure if a soldier was giving out. So far no one had quit despite being pushed past their limits. As for Bedeila, she was moving around with 3 tons of weight, but now it was doubled to 6 tons.

They had to be careful with the branches they jumped on as they would snap under their weight. Even now the trees were crackling and groaning under the weight they were forced under by Bedeila and Connor.

He glanced at his daughter who had not been pushed this hard before.

"How you holding up Bedeila?"

Connor dug his claws into a large tree that tipped over slightly as he had 8 tons on his body. Bedeila did the same as she needed a quick break. Even her Werewolf quirk and the regeneration that it gave her could not offset the exhaustion caused by 6 tons of weight.

"I'm ok. I can keep going."

"Alright. If you need to stop just tell me."

Under them more and more soldiers ran past them with difficulty. Bedeila looked down and saw one guy who looked like a Kamodo dragon was forcing his body forward. He was crawling, but he still kept moving forward.

His quirk was working against him, but he still refused to yield. Connor and Bedeila sped up to keep going as they did not want to look disappointing. Just as they were feeling ok, the temperature dropped even further and it got windier. Connor cursed as the ice and wind quirk users made their challenge even higher.

"This cold is nice for us, but for those who are reptiles, it will not be fun."

"I feel bad for them wh-"

AWOOOOOOOOOOO.

The howl that filled the entire forest caused many soldiers to freeze for a split second. That was already shocking as most of the soldiers of the Dragon Divison went through constant psychological training. The amount of power behind that howl showed that whatever did it was no weakling.

Connor's tail and fur stood on end, but his grin did not leave his face.

"You feal that?"

Bedeila felt it as she felt her every instinct told her to kneel. It seemed it had a pressure-related quirk or something similar and a powerful one at that.

"Fire guy level wolf."

Connor sighed as she always gave them funny names.

"You mean Endeavor?"

She nodded.

"That's what I said. Fire guy."

He smiled.

"Your too adorable to get mad at. Come on kiddo. Let's get that wolf."

"Got it."

They blasted off to find it as they were determined to take it for themselves.

---

While they looked for the source of the howl, Mathew flew over the forest while his tablet sent him reports about every soldier. All of their nanomachines were being monitored for any changes and the howl spiked their adrenalin for a second.

As he flew around he noticed that some soldiers froze while others kept going forward. Of course, they only hesitated for less than a second, but that was too much. He heard the howl too, but his Werewolf quirk rendered him immune to the effects.

Except that his fur also stood on end as a reactive instinct.

"Robute, what just happened? What kind of quirk does that wolf have?"

As a major Warhammer40k, Mathew had named his AI after Robute Gulliman. The primarch with the most in common with a machine.

"Fear, that wolf has the power to intimidate his foes with his howl. I also know for a fact that it is powerful."

Jack cursed hearing the A.I hi father developed.

"Damn, all that training for them to falter under this. Note to self more psychological training. What about Connor and Bedeila?"

Mathew shook his head.

"They are heading toward it."

Jenna looked toward the forest with some worry.

"I know they are strong, but just a howl was that strong. How strong would be it's battle abilities."

Robute and Mathew entered a private discussion as they found the answer. Mathew's news made Jack and Jenna both worried and interested.

"At the very least as strong as Endeavor or more. What you need to realize is that the animals and wolves have been living in this storm for over a century. In the wild, it is survival of the fittest so only those who could survive this bred.

This means that the wolf is 180 years of constant adaptation. Under the effects of quirks who knows what power this wolf has. I so want to study it."

Jack looked at his father with worry.

"What about my son and granddaughter? Can they handle something like this?"

Mathew scoffed.

"I thought I raised you better than that Jack. Why are you questioning both of them when you never did that before?"

Jack did not know how to answer, but Jenna did.

"Jack, are you worried something will happen to both of them?"

Jack sighed.

"Is that bad?"

Mathew shook his head.

"No, but you never showed it before. Just believe in them, but I will still head over to keep an eye on them."

Jack looked to the forest as his father flew off.

"I have gone soft."

Jenna hugged him tight.

"Yeah, you big puppy dog, you did. Want a second kid? I want another baby."

Jack looked down on his wife as it was an unspoken tradition to have only one. Bedeila was a miracle as for whatever reason the Canis family was dominated by men. Jack sighed.

"Fine. Let's give Connor a little sibling."

---

While they planned to have another child, Connor and Bedeila were headed deep into the forest. The closer they got to the origin of the howl the more the pressure increased. Just as Bedeila jumped from the tree she missed the branch as her body froze up for a second.

It was like the eyes of a predator was locked on her causing her to freeze up for a split second. She fell straight to the ground making Connor recoil as the thud was loud.

"That had to hurt."

He jumped down to where she fell and saw her face was red. It was not from pain, but shame.

"I swear that was not my fault."

Connor looked into the forest where a pair of giant red eyes were locked on him.

"I believe would you."

Bedeila got up and dusted herself off. She noticed her dad was looking behind her making her point with her thumb.

"He is behind me right?"

"Yeah."

She turned around in time to see a giant wolf walking out of the thicket. It was 5 meters tall and was as black as the night. Around its neck was a shaggy mane of fur making the wolf look like he was part lion. If that was not enough shadows recoiled and writhed like tentacles on its body.

Connor and Bedeila instead of getting ready for battle walked toward the Wolf King. As for the wolf himself, he did not attack and even stood in front of both of them. He sniffed Connor first who did not try anything. He did pet the wolf as he also loved wolves.

They were not trying to fight the wolf anyway. After a few seconds, the Wolf King lost interest in him and turned to Bedeila. The giant wolf began to smell her and in just a few seconds he found something intresting. Her scent smelled lovely like smelling calming herbs.

Bedeila reached up and ran her hand down his face.

"Aren't you just magnificent?"

Connor scoffed.

"Why do all of them love you? Is it because you are a girl or something?"

Bedeila did not know.

"Maybe. You and I are pretty much humanoid wolves and I also don't get periods. Remember that I go into heat like a wolf?"

Connor nodded. As her mother died before she could help Bedeila with that he had to. He had to do quite a bit of research and take her to specialized doctors to help her deal with it. It was why she was so comfortable with talking to him about this.

He was the person she trusted the most in her life.

"Yeah, kind of annoying, but the first time was bad as we had no idea what was going on. I was worried half to death you got sick or something. I am just glad your smell works on this big guy."

Bedeila reached for a special spot around the shoulders of the wolf and scratched it. The wolf went limp and started to kick with his back legs.

'Just like Fenris.'

"I guess it does. I just wish that I did not have to go through with it at all."

In the sky, Mathew landed behind them making the Wolf King look at him with interest. He too smelled like a wolf so the Wolf King did not bother him either. He also could not get up as Bedeila was scratching the sweet spot that forced him to kick like any other dog.

It was cute in a scary way.

"Robute, what do you think?"

Robute his AI analyzed all it could from the wolf and a few scans.

"I detect a hybrid quirk. The shadow quirk seems to be a secondary ability while the intimidation is the primary one. As for the size, it seems to be a mutation caused after 180 of its ancestors lived in this place. I believe the pheromones given off by Bedeila are keeping him calm."

While the wolf was on the ground he started to rub his large head on Bedeila. It was just like cats when they encountered catnip as wolves loved to rub scents they like on their fur.

"I think I just became catnip. In this case wolfnip."

Mathew was confused about it so he ran some scans on both Bedeila and the Wolf King.

"Have you gone into heat this year already? I was the one who gave you medication to help you suppress the effects."

She nodded.

"It was at the start of the year so I had to stay home during that time. I am just glad that you made those as without them it was terrible."

Connor nodded.

"Very much so. She was moody and bitter for three weeks. Luckily she only has to deal with it twice a year compared to every month for normal women. I know my wife was violent during that time but Bedeila isn't. Just moody."

Bedeila was lucky kind of as she did not get periods at all. She never had to suffer from them, but going into heat was not any better. She had to stay home for three weeks as she felt like shit during the three weeks of it.

Mathew found a theory that worked.

"I think that your pheromones keep him in a relaxed state. How do your pet wolves react when you go into heat?"

Bedeila remembered when she went through it her wolves became mellow and rolled around like they were high. Connor remembered it well as he had to wear a gas mask around her for that same reason.

"Now that you mention it really is like she is wolf nip when she goes into heat. Very unpleasant let me tell you for all those involved. I felt bad for her as she was miserable during the whole time."

Bedeila was glad she did not have to deal with it often. Only twice a year was not a bad trade-off as opposed to every month. Bedeila kneeled down and ran her hand down Wolf's face. He was not actually high as she was not going into heat anytime soon.

He just found her scent pleasant to be around like a big cat.

"Hey, do you want to come with me? I think you need a good name? What about Bigby?"

Mathew laughed at the name.

"Didn't that game come out 250 years ago or something. Not a bad name for this big guy. Wonder how you will keep him tame in the city?"

Bedeila shrugged.

"A few people going missing won't be too bad. I can just blame it on some cult."

Connor bonked her on the head.

"I may not be a good person, but getting innocent people eaten is a bad idea How do you know he will follow you anyway?"

Bedeila smiled.

"I just know. Come on buddy. Let's go."

The giant wolf stood up as she got on his back. Bigby roared at the top of his lungs causing the entire forest to tremble and quake with the full force of his power. Connor and Mathew covered their faces as the wind seemed to quake and trembled.

Bigby rushed away with her on his back making Connor scoff.

"That girl left me behind. How sad. See you grampa, I got to chase after her before she disappears."

Connor ran after both of them leaving Mathew behind. The inventor shook his head as he flew out of the forest. Now that she had her own quirk-enhanced pet she was fairly safe. He wondered what else was in the forest besides Bigby.

You know, I make it obvious how much I love animals. Every single one I write involves them somehow.
