3: I Will Get You Back

"Alexia Smitherine." The announcer announced Alexia's name, Mila's best friend. The lady looks around trying to find her and when her eyes see her, she immediately runs towards her and hugs Mila tightly.

"Omg, I miss you! I just arrived here in this country. It's been five years K—" Mila shut Alexia's mouth causing her eyes to widen.

"We are in public, Alexia. Try to hush yourself this time, can you?" Mila speaks causing Alexia to laugh shyly and sits beside her.

"Hey Caleb, it's been a while since we've met. How have you been? Is there something already for the both of you? You know what I meant about something," Alexia speaks looking at the two back and forth but they don't respond to her question and just look away with Caleb's face blushing while Mila just continues to give her a poker face. Alexia just let out a heavy sigh.

The event already started and many people were now heading towards Mila's table to ask her a few questions, mostly about how she survived. Mila just did not respond and gave them a smile. She doesn't want to reveal everything to people as she has a plan for this.

While Mila was talking while smiling at people, Zandro kept staring at his wife sipping his red wine. "Mila is your wife, right? Why you're not going to have a conversation with her?" his friend Vans speaks.

Zandro takes another sip again and just keeps on staring at Mila. "I'll get her back at the right time, for now, Mila seems to be very distant to me now. I think she needs space for a while, I don't want to force her to be with me," Zandro speaks causing Vans to elbow at the side of his body.

"You should start now dude, it seems that Caleb Washton trying to get your wife slowly. If I were you, I would punch Caleb in the face. How dare he take my wife from me, right?" Vans speaks with a grin on his face staring at Mila and Caleb. Zandro breathes out and sips another wine.

The event has finally ended leaves all of them go inside their cars. Just about Mila walks outside the hall, Zandro immediately grabs her hands causing her to stop, and looks behind her. "Now what again, Zandro Prosch?" Zandro's eyebrows raised as he heard that.

"Can't you at least respect your husband?" he asks causing Mila to scoff looking at Zandro's eyes.

"Husband? You call yourself my husband? After what you did—" Zandro immediately covered Mila's mouth and wanted to take her away from the hall however Mila pulled himself away from Zandro's direction, but Zandro still got her from the place away from people. "Let me go!" she shouted causing Zandro to let her hands out from his grip.

"Why are you like that? You are not the Mila I knew before. What happened to you?" he asks.

"Why not ask yourself, Zandro," Mila responded holding her hand where Zandro held it. "You made me change."

"What can I do for you to forgive me? I will do anything, Mila. For years we have spent. We have already been in a relationship since we were in high school, right? Do you just want to throw those memories just like that? Mila, look at me! I am your husband. Remember those things we made together, just please, come back to me," Zandro begs causing Mila to stare at him. She let the tears stream from her eyes not because she remembers those memories that the two had together but because all she remembers are those moments he almost killed the real Mila.

The Mila that Zandro was now talking with was Kira, Mila's twin sister. Only a few people know about her as Kira hid her identity from the world. Kira was a former assassin which is why only her sister Mila knew about her job after their parents died. She was the one who gave Mila money for an investment in her business but it went bankrupt all because of Zandro stealing all the money that Mila worked hard for.

Kira took all of Mila's identification with the help of Caleb and Alexia, their childhood friends after Mila's death because of depression. Kira now used to be called Mila to take revenge for her sister's death and to make sure that Zandro Prosch would suffer for everything he did to her sister.

She gritted her teeth in anger but moments after she tried to make herself calm. She stares at Zandro standing properly. "I know I had a lot of fun being with you, Zandro."

Zandro drew a smile on his face after hearing that. "Then it is good. I thought you already forgot about our happy moments, Mila."

"But, it doesn't mean I will forgive you immediately. Show it to me, Zandro. Show me that you have changed. Show me that you love me and you are really afraid of losing me. I want to feel that from you. If you pass, I will come back to you. Take my heart again like how you have taken my heart since we were in high school. Let me experience the love that you gave to me when we were young, Zandro," she replied. Zandro's eyes widen after hearing all of it. He bit his lower lip and walked closely towards Mila.

"Stop. You are not yet allowed to touch me," Mila speaks causing Zandro to stop walking as well. "I will give you a month to prove yourself to me, Zandro. Just a month."

"Then," Zandro pauses for a moment and speaks again. "I will show you everything you wanted to feel once again. I will make sure I will get you. I will take you back. I will get what is mine," he said looking at Mila seriously.

"Great," Mila spoke and was about to speak again when Caleb interjected.

"Mila." His voice was calm and worried after seeing her with Zandro. Mila immediately looks behind her and smiles after seeing Caleb causing Zandro to clench his fist and feel jealous.

"I will get going now, Zandro," Mila speaks as she walks towards Caleb. He immediately assisted her and gave him his black tuxedo coat to cover Mila's body as the wind started to feel cold.

Before the two leave Zandro alone, Caleb takes a glimpse of him with a serious face causing Zandro to glare at him. It was like Zandro's eyes were threatening Caleb but still, it didn't bother him until the two finally left.
