Without me

"What's wrong?" asked Maddie as she stood looking at her phone and she turned to look at Matt as she used a spell to mind linked him.

"*Sigh*" said Matt as he sighed and he looked at Maddie.

"Isn't it obvious with the way Mr. Grey is looking at me" said Matt as he looked at John as he was busy talking with Lisa and he smiled and he stopped looking at her as he looked at Matt and he frowned as he looked cold and Matt looked away.

"Hahah" said Maddie as she laughed, she found this hilarious, it was so funny.

"I see you are having father in law issues already" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Oh please Maddie, don't say such, I am sure Mr. Grey will go at any lengths to make sure that we don't end up being family" said Matt as he sighed and he shook his head, he knew that this would be a long ride, he should have just gone in a second carriage, because John would just end up giving him the stink eye throughout the entire ride.

"Oh Matt, I know that this is serious, but gosh, it is just too funny" said Maddie as she laughed and she turned to look at Annie as she linked her with she and Matt.

"What's so funny?" asked Annie as she smiled as she heard Maddie laughing.

"Nothing" said Matt.

"Oh no, it's not nothing Annie" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Matt over here thinks that your father doesn't like him" said Maddie as she laughed and Annie looked at Matt as he sighed and he shook his head, Maddie could not keep a secret could she? Or just not one that she found very funny.

"What, that's not true" said Annie as she looked at Matt.

"But Matt doesn't think so" said Maddie as she laughed.

"But it's the truth he doesn't like me, can't you see it?" Matt as he looked at both Annie and Maddie.

"Oh no, that not true Matt" said Annie as she shook her head, why would her father not like him?? He was very nice, and sweet, and well she thought that maybe Matt was just seeing things.

"You say so because you are his daughter" said Matt.

"Believe me Matt, if he didn't like you, you would know, but trust me when I say that he likes you" said Annie as she smiled, she knew her dad, if he truly did not like Matt, then he would treat him very coldly, and not even talk to him, that was just how he was, but he was not like that with Matt, which meant that he liked him.

"Hahaha" said Maddie as she laughed, she was just cracking up at this, here she was being a third wheel while Annie and Matt discussed their relationship issues with the Father in law, Maddie was laughing so hard that she just had to clutch her stomach, it looked so weird to the others who didn't know what was going on as Maddie just had a big smile on her face.

"Well alright then, if you say so Annie" said Matt as he and Annie just ignored Maddie's laughing, because it would seem that she was finding this way too funny.

"Yes, and I do say so" said Annie as she smiled.

"So don't think he doesn't like you" said Annie.

"He has not reason not to like you" said Annie.

"I mean you are nice, sweet, funny, why wouldn't he like you? I do" asked Annie as she smiled.

"You really think so?" asked Matt as he smiled.

"And you like me?" asked Matt as he was surprised.

"Of course I like you, don't you know that I do?" said Annie as she smiled.

"Oooohhh *Ahem*, I still exist here" said Maddie as she cleared her throat and she smiled and Annie and Matt turned to look at her.

"Gosh, I think I should just leave the link for the two of you" said Maddie as she found this sweet, and yet annoying, they were both fooling themselves.

"No" said Annie and Matt at the same time as they looked at Maddie in the same manner.

"Gosh, okay, relax" said Maddie as she was surprised, the both of them sounded like they would both die without her, luckily for them, she was not going anywhere at all, they could not get rid of her even if they wanted to, she was a pest that would never leave.

"Awww, you guys can't live without me" said Maddie as she laughed, she was of course irreplaceable.

"Very funny Maddie, we can live without you" replied Matt as he did not sound too impressed while Annie just laughed.

"Of course you can't, I'm the glue that holds us all together" said Maddie as grinned.

"We all know that if there is someone that is the glue, that would be Annie" said Matt.

"I beg to differ" said Maddie as she refuted Matt.

"Well it's the truth" said Matt as he and Maddie began to argue as Annie laughed, just what was with this two?? They could be as united and as sticky as glue when they agreed together, but when they argued with each other, they really went all out.

"Oh no way I am letting you make a statement Matt, I am of course the glue" said Maddie.

"No you are not, Annie is" said Matt.

"Hey Curtis, can you please tell Matt that I am the glue that holds this entire friend group together" said Maddie as she looked at Curtis as he looked at the three of them, he was not even surprised, it was clear that they had been talking to each other all this while.

"Annie is the glue, final answer" replied Curtis plainly.

"Aww man" said Maddie.

"Thank you Curtis, thank you" said Matt as he smiled.

"You see Maddie, I am right" said Matt as he smiled at Maddie rather smugly.

"Whatever, Curtis can just be lying anyway, he is Annie's loyal guardian" said Maddie as she scoffed.

"Alright, let's just end this here" said Annie as she could sense that things were getting out of hand.

"No, I do not lie, I only tell the truth, and when I do not want to tell the truth, I would rather remain quiet" said Curtis as he did not want Maddie to label him falsely.

"Yeah, yeah" said Maddie as she sounded annoyed.

"Anyway Curtis, have you met the King and Queen before?" asked Matt as he looked at Curtis.

"Many times, yes, why do you ask?" asked Curtis as he looked at Matt.

"No reason" said Matt.

"If you ask me, I think their sudden request to meet Annie is a bit suspicious" said Matt.

"What do you mean?" asked Annie as she looked at Matt.

"Well why did they choose to meet her now, over all other times??" asked Matt.

"Why not when we all first arrived in the Witch Realm? Why not before the entire battle with Azazel, why now?? Especially considering that Annie has lost her powers" said Matt as that was what he thought, he had this thought in his mind for a while now.

"You have a point Matt" said Maddie as she spoke up and Annie agreed, Matt has asked very valid questions.

"Well if you ask me Matt, I have no idea" replied Curtis simply.

"I don't know why they chose now to meet Annie, when she has been in the Witch Realm for over a year now" said Curtis as he had to agree with Matt, he also thought the same, why now?

"But what I do know is that, they are above us, and we are below" said Curtis.

"We either obey, or… we don't" said Curtis as his words had deeper meanings.

"So are you saying that this is dangerous?" asked Matt.

"I never said so" said Curtis.

"And even if it was, it is too late now" said Curtis.

"What do mean Curtis?" asked Maddie as Annie and Matt were confused as well.

"Look outside the window" said Curtis as Annie, Maddie and Matt all looked out the window of the carriage as they were all left in awe.

They had already arrived at the Castle, and just one word could be used to describe the Castle, and that would be beautiful.

Beautiful, lush, tall, green trees surrounded the Castle, there were seven high towers of the Castle, the stone used to build the Castle was white, and it shone, the Castle looked old, and yet still as beautiful as the first say it was built.

Behind the breath-taking Castle were vast mountains that were visible, and right next to those mountains was a blue river that went past the mountains.

"Wow" said Maddie out loud, she was really… well surprised.

"Welcome to the Castle" said Curtis as Annie, Maddie and Matt were all still looking outside.
