“Hey.”

Keenan grinned at Pablo, but he wasn’t sure if it seemed sincere enough. He was still feeling rather mortified by what happened earlier.

“Hey yourself. Is it time for dinner yet?”

Pablo shook his head. “It’s five minutes to seven o’clock. Dinner will start exactly at seven.”

“Okay.”

Pablo occupied the empty spot on the lounging chair next to Keenan before rubbing one palm soothingly on his thigh. “I’m sorry.”

“What for?”

Pablo pointed in the direction of the living room with one of his thumbs. “I rarely interact with them, but they aren’t all bad. They’re just…just…”

Keenan waited for a few seconds longer as Pablo trailed off, obviously unable to find the right words. “A bunch of pampered, rich, spoilt brats?”
