Chapter 40

He was pleasantly surprised when he discovered he still knew his way around the house. Granted, there were some new things here and there, but for the most part, the house was still the same as it had been all those years ago. He used the bathroom for less than three minutes and washed his hands before steeling himself at the thought of having to deal with so many strangers out there. He wasn’t an antisocial person, though. He knew he could deal with those strangers just fine. He simply didn’t relish the thought of having to make so many small talks throughout the rest of the evening. As the Sales Manager at the pharmaceutical firm he worked at, he already had to do that almost on a daily basis, be that face-to-face or over the phone. He would rather avoid it during his personal hours.
