"I will introduce you to my people tomorrow," She paused, remembering Avery.

"Avery will do that. Don't think too much about this. We'll find their hideouts sooner or later." her confident words soothed Lucas's emotions slightly.

There's no use brooding over the matter. Since these people want him, it wouldn't be long before they found the mastermind hiding in the dark. He could only hope his pack members could hold on for a little while longer.

They stayed in each other's embrace, enjoying the peaceful quiet without speaking. After a while, Lucas felt Grace's body soften. He looked down and found her asleep; it seemed she was exhausted.

Carrying her to the bed, he laid her down gently. As he was about to leave, he felt her strong hold on his hand.

His eyes softened at her action. He leaned down, pressing a kiss on her forehead before carefully loosening her hold.
