Chapter 7 - Wow

Kaori POV

Girl just keep calm! Keep calm! Don't slap a wolf today! Don't do it… do not do it!

My thoughts were running rampant as we all sat down at the table for what could only be known as the worlds most awkward brunch.

After the talk of the rogue attacks and asking for the Blood Rose packs help, Alpha Kano made the decision for Alpha Rhys. Saying that our pack would have the Blood Rose packs support in this fight.

Once that conversation was done however, the silence that fell in the room was ridiculous.

Alpha Rhys was staring at me with a mixture of emotions on his face. He hadn't even touched his food. His Luna Madison kept touching him and being all "prissy shewolf", clearly to his disgust and Kora's!

She was clawing the inside of my dang head to shreds everytime Luna Madison would touch our mate. Me on the other hand, I didn't give a good damn what she was doing. No jealousy crept up on me, no anger, no irritation about them, nothing.

It was like I was numb to the fact that I even had a mate. Maybe it was because I know that he has a Luna already. I don't know, but either way I didn't care at this moment.

Luna Madison kept trying to feed him and he would refuse until the Alpha of Alphas, Kano would send him a look.

Beta Mateo was smiling at me between bites of his food. Preston and Gamma Jett were talking amongst themselves, but Jett also kept trying to include Beta Mateo in their convo.

Alpha Kano kept looking between Alpha Rhys, Luna Madison and me. As did my father and mother. My brother, our Gamma Jake and our Alpha Bryson were just sitting quietly and randomly would shake their head, most likely at the current situation.

Our previous Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Luna were completely silent as well. No emotion on their faces and no reactions from them at all.

And Madison was completely oblivious to the fact that her mate and Alpha was my mate and I was their packs rightful Luna because she came back into the room after the whole mate nonsense.

Oh yeah and don't think I didn't sense the word crap Alpha Rhys had going on. As soon as I could concentrate more on the feelings I was getting from our bond, I felt way too many different tethers. I should have only felt his, but nope..

Curiosity was getting the best of me while I stared at everyone, I couldn't figure out who exactly Alpha Rhys was tethered to, but it's someone else. Multiple at that.

Man I never noticed how attractive Beta Mateo and Gamma Jett were.. wow. My goodness.. their auras were seductive. Beta Mateo's tanned skin, dark brown hair and soulful brown eyes to match, his stubble hugged his jaw as perfectly as Alpha Rhys did. Gamma Jett had a smoother look. No facial hair, dirty blonde hair on top of his head and his features were just as yummy, with his beautifully groomed eyebrows and blue eyes. Unlike Alpha Rhys who had these piercing green eyes, jet black hair and his stubble wrapped around his jaw, hugging it as tight as he could hug me.

All three of those men could take me down anytime! Hehe!

Wait what?

Oh hell no! Earth to Kaori!

Goodness let me calm down.. ok.. back to this multiple tether business.. I knew one of them was Madison obviously, but who were the other 2?

Surely they couldn't be at this table because I didn't see anyone else reacting to Madison in any form of jealousy.. so maybe they're back in his pack.

Ha! I wonder if Madison knows..

Probably not, she seems as clueless as a rock.

This is all just a total mindfuck.

Goddess! Rhys, Mateo and Jett are HOT!!

What is happening?

"May I be excused?" I was the first one to speak up, everyone's eyes shot to mine.

"Where are you going?" Rhys asked moving Madison's hand from his arm.

"I think all things considering, I would be appreciative if I could be excused." I said gesturing around the table, nothing about this was normal.

"Go ahead Kaori. I think that's a great idea." Alpha Kano agreed with a smile, then ran his eyes from my head to my feet and I nod grateful. Yeah I totally seen the way he was checking me out. Disgusting. He's literally like 36 years old. I'm only 25, not happening dude. Plus unfortunately I have a mate now.

Getting up from the table, I tell everyone I would be at the training facility if they need me. Preston agreed to come with me and with that, we left the packhouse heading straight for our destination. I didn't even care that I had this stupid skin tight dress on or these dumb heels. I could easily kick Preston's ass and I knew that I needed to kick something!

"I hate this!" Kora snarled.

"I do too Kora."
