Synopsis

My name is John Moore and I would consider myself a relatively ordinary person. So then why? Why did I instead of dying, woke up in a decrepit prison cell with some guy in knight armor looking down me? And what's with the screen in front of me!? "Lavender Whispers"

In a world veiled by mystery and intrigue, where secrets are shrouded in the enigmatic allure of the shadows, our story unfolds. It begins with a young woman named Rooh, a mere twenty years of age, who embarks on a transformative journey destined to alter the course of her life. Born into nobility, Rooh's early years were brimming with promises of a life filled with comfort and privilege. However, the untimely death of her mother when she was but a seven-year-old child cast a shadow over her once-happy home. The warmth and love that once permeated the halls of her family's residence dissipated, leaving in its wake an atmosphere akin to that of a cold, sterile government office. The memory of her mother's presence, and the joyful laughter that once resounded in her home, began to fade into the distant past, leaving Rooh yearning for a time when life was filled with camaraderie and familial love. It was this relentless yearning, an insatiable need to escape the oppressive confines of her family's now somber home, that led Rooh to seek refuge in the most unlikely of places—a renowned herbalist and doctor known as Miss Juliet. Despite the significant age difference between them, Juliet took Rooh under her wing, offering her not just shelter and guidance but an opportunity to embark on a journey of transformation. In a mere decade, Rooh's mind absorbed a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from her extraordinary mentor, Juliet. This intense period of learning and growth transformed her into a prodigy, her once chestnut locks now replaced with a striking silver, and her vibrant eyes, the color of deep sea blue. Juliet's clinic was nestled amidst the covert world of assassins, and the kindness she extended to these enigmatic individuals brought her occasional rewards in the form of currency and protection. Rooh, following in her mentor's footsteps, adjusted seamlessly to this clandestine life. She ventured outside, guarded by an assassin, and while Juliet was away, she found solace within the secretive sanctuary of assassins, wherever her travels took her. Through her dedication to her craft and the unique skills she possessed, Rooh not only earned the respect of these enigmatic figures but also integrated herself into their ranks. She became more than a talented herbalist; she became their trusted confidant, accompanying them on their training missions and offering her expertise to their enigmatic cause. As the years unfurled, Juliet's age began to catch up with her. Before her passing, she entrusted Rooh with three rings, each adorned with the same diamond design but featuring different colors: black, lavender, and green. Along with these rings, Juliet unveiled three royal secrets, secrets passed to her by the late empress. Rooh's task was clear: to present the rings to young women she deemed fit for the empress's sons. However, Juliet was unable to fulfill this crucial duty herself. She pleaded with Rooh to return the rings to the Emperor in her stead. Fulfilling Juliet's last wish, Rooh left behind the village she once shared with her mentor and set forth on a journey to the royal city, accompanied by the very assassins who had come to respect and trust her. In the heart of the bustling city, she stumbled upon an abandoned house adjacent to the assassin's sanctuary, which she transformed into a humble almshouse. This tale of shadows and secrets, love and destiny, captures the essence of Rooh's journey. In a world where loyalty and treachery dance hand in hand, where bonds form and secrets unravel, Rooh's heart will be tested in ways she could never have imagined. Challenges loom, shadows deepen, and her journey leads her into the intricate web of the royal family.

Infinity Guardian System

"Haunted by the Curse's relentless pursuit, one seeks solace in the arms of darkness..." -- -- -- Hael Winterlock, the youngest and most beloved prince of the Winterlock dynasty, lived the typical luxurious prince life within the dynasty, with the thought of being just an ordinary rich royal member in the future. But when he awakened the never-before-seen Nine Magical Arcana Runes petals, the law of the Kingdom automatically dictates him as the next ruler of the throne, something that goes against his predetermined fate. And from thereon, life came crashing down for Hael, who had his father killed by his throne-obsessed brothers, and then he himself burnt to coal and flung into the icy depths to drown to death. Just when life seemed over, Hael found a portal and a moon fragment, a rumored source of controllable power at the depth of the sea, and the moon fragment fused with him as he disappeared into the strange portal. There was a new advanced world, a world where an ongoing war between humans who grew with cybernetic fusions, and the Eldritches, creatures of dark magic, raged on. Once more, he was given a chance to change things, a new chance at life. One day, he swore to return to back to Winterfall Dynasty to take what was rightfully his. But only if his dreams could be reality. It's hard to find a actual good Dark Souls webnovel that captures struggle, now don't get me wrong I like slice of life/op from the beggining, but this fanfic is perfect because it shows how the chosen one goes through these struggles and then there's also the fact that you address that no normal hollow/human could face against these gods without special powers and the way you integrate them is absolutely great.

The author has made me to become a starving and thirsting animal everytime he does not upload. But I respect his time and life so I will refrain from doing any bad things. On to the actual review. The writing is excellent and quite rare to find in this platform. He's clearly experienced with writing as the way he structures and forms them is impeccable. Dark souls and no op start or system. Just an Mc who builds himself up. Speaking of the protagonist, he's designed as what a normal person would be like if they were suddenly chucked into the game. Which is realistic which is a plus in my book. So he uses the insanity of the MC to write whatever he wants which is pretty clever. I just wish he would update more. Author. Do you have something where I can pay you for the future chapters?

it's a great dark souls book. you get to feel the suffering the MC goes through as he trufges through the cycle of fight, die, and repeat. the power he weilds doesn't come unnaturally and is well thought out. his character growth makes sense, and you can feel the emotions rolling off the pages. a high-quality book, held back by the small number of chapters.

I love this idea can't wait to read more. dark souls is such a violent world and I love when people put regular people in it to survive.....

An okay read but wouldn't recommend it to others unless they are obsessed with dark souls to the point that they are willing to forego quality because 'dark souls'. I feel like the author lost their drive for the story partway through and started using badly done romance and random berserk moments as a crutch so they wouldn't need to think their way through certain things and keep up with their release schedule. Writing quality: Pretty good spelling, there are a few odd grammar mistakes of swapped words that come off weird but nothing too jarring. There are some periods where they just repeatedly say "PAIN" for about 1/4th of the chapter to try to emphasize how much pain something caused, once or twice is fine but it's used fairly regularly. Some of the dialogue is also a bit off, everyone feels a bit fake like they aren't quite responding to his actions, though I'm not sure if this is intentional as a joke about NPC dialogue or just forced plot convenience so certain events happen regardless of his actions. Near chapters 50-60 though they stop showing us scenes that happen and just start telling readers I did blah then blah then now I've been doing blah for a while showing that it's gotten a bit worse over time. 3/5 Stability of updates: Very consistent even when the author was going through some stuff, which they probably should have taken a break for rather than push themselves. 5/5 Story development: The story starts off great, they have an interesting system and the fights were great. They showed someone physically weaker working their way through hardships and using logic to beat bigger foes... then the author decided 'an interesting plot and story? That won't do!' and tosses out all the logic and interesting bits in favor of a generic split-personality guy that randomly goes berserk repeatedly mashes the same super move and acts like an edgy teenager with other characters yet every female character in the story fawns over them including the giant monster ones. Not to mention various cop-outs in order to bypass certain situations so the author won't have to deal with it and random character personality shifts in order for something to happen. 1/5 Character Design: Starts out pretty good then as I said in story development it becomes complete garbage. Before they would logic out fights, now they spam a super move or we don't even see it as it's told to us that he won without using the super move. They used to methodically move area to area and work through things, now they throw fits and steal stuff for no reason while acting like a random edgy child. Because the character's personality is at least interesting for the first 1/3rd-1/2 of the story it at least deserves 2/5. World Background: They do a great job at keeping up with the various background events and fleshing out certain parts about the darksouls world including expanding on how the magic system works and the secrets behind certain aspects not discussed in the game in a way that makes sense. 5/5

Honestly this is pure brilliance. The Main Character feels like a person. The Side Characters fell like people and the pain of the main character makes one fell both pity and a calling for more. Please Keep up the good work for this is one novel I shall be reading on every release.

I had already reviewed this fic before, I gave it two stars and said that I didn't like those things about Fate of the Living Dead, but that I would leave it in my library so that if I ever wanted to read it again I would do another review, and now I I read it again, and I must say that I don't regret anything, what I was most afraid of before was Fate of the Living Dead, it turned out to be much better than I imagined, I thought it would be much worse, because I've seen several stories of this type and I hated them, but this one really left a really good taste in my mouth and it gave me pleasure to read, I hope the author keeps up the good work (Google Translator)

Great Fanfic. Quick question, after you have finished writing the original dark souls, will you move onto 3 or 2? (I’m asking this since 3 takes place after ds1)

HONEST REVIEW!! This is THE BEST Dark Souls Fanfic I have EVER read. In the beginning you can clearly see a modern man who was thrown into an impossible situation and HAD to learn to survive. Usually fics would make the mc a phycopath and automatically skilled with the sword and win with a challenge, but our mc Struggled with both the environment and the moral side of Dark souls. Then after MANY MANY DEATHS you can see how he slowly changes because he NEEDS TO. The writing made me feel both sorry and excited to see how the mc changes and becomes stronger and more skilled. The fight scenes are amazing. With each line I could clearly imagine the fight as if I was watching it in an anime or movie and they never really left me feeling unsatisfied. There Is a small romance but clearly while well written is not the main point of the story. It also makes sense as to why he chooses who he does. The author uses the world of Dark Souls very well and even changes some things from the game to make it more realistic(like braking rusty locks or Wooden doors) while still keeping the DarkSouls theme. The characters in the world dont feel like NPC’s. They feel like actuall people in how the mc interacts with them. Overall the book is Amazing and if I could I would give it a higher rating. Thank you author for the good story I look forward to continuing it.
