Only reach chapter 24 but this story isn’t good writing quality is around average on this platform (pretty bad). Story development is lacking alot of detail and interest MC is just given everything he needs. World background is trash book starts when the MC is introduced to the mana shots and instantly taken away to military not a single word about his parents (they are alive) and not a single word about his home town other then it’s a mining town, MC just naturally knows alot about the world and how the world and the “elite” behavior works. Character development like the world building is really bad as well cause with such a lacking world building it’s impossible to have a real character until now it’s basically-ryan- introduced gets the mana shot - goes on train to elite academy - find how his power works- gets into the academy - trains with private instructor. Here in 4 lines I conclude 24 chapters.

Yep, this guy is an absolute menace I don't know how he can even compare Second Coming of Gluttony to The Beginning After the End its honestly one of the trashier novels out there I mean all the other novels that he mentions are good even great although I didn't finish through with Reverend Insanity because it was a bit heavy I could still appreciate that novel. back to the topic, it pains me that he is trying to make it seem they are around the same level of writing/plot, etc... I dropped TBATE before so I gave it another try yesterday and read about 15-20 chapters and it was just as shit as I remembered. it has the vibe as the same stupid op mc with a vibe that a harem will appear in the later stages of the story and the writing is just awful it made me cringe. as for my opinion on this story, I think it's probably one of the better novels on this site and has some actual character development like it usually should be slow and pretty controlled

honestly, I had struggled with the earlier chapters of the novel but a part of the beauty of this novel is the profound and slow introduction to the settings, it's probably the best novel I have read online by a pretty large margin if you get through the start of the novel you won't regret it. I feel like this story is the most detailed one by far, it's almost like I actually have a visual memory of places he described.

Really liked what I've seen so far from this novel I'm sure it has great potential, in my opinion probably even higher potential than cultivation online, only wish that author would have more time on his hands to develop this story and release more chapters. I know it's so bad I got to 167 and gave up it is just such a bad shallow story and character development, it's not even an enjoyable no brainer but because the author is consistent with content and has the mass release every week the people who read this novel are being forced into voting here and then he releases more and gets more into recommended for others but how is this shit ranked first how?

this is so infuriating that this stupid novel is at the top of the power ranking it's so trash, it's just a shallow flat two-dimensional story, the story isn't well thought or well written it isn't interesting I read 167 chapters and it's such a waste of time I mean I don't want to discourage authors and stuff but this shit just doesn't deserve to be close to top 20 power ranking it's just because of the webnovel algorithm that pushes stories with more consistency into recommendations. I'm atm reading Lord of The Mysteries and it's such a masterpiece its really a well-thought story with a huge world and character building but as it has already finished releasing it would get less recommended and we and up with this stupid shit being rank 1, and it's not like the book I'm reading doesn't have shortcomings but compared to this is not even comparable it is like asking a 1st grader to solve a 12th graders math problems, just here to vent some anger over the ranking system.

When I first found about this novel or as a matter of fact the whole webnovel community after watching the anime of this novel, although the anime wasn't great I really enjoyed the world and story development, after I watched the anime I saw that it originated from a novel and started reading it as I was bored that day and it was a great day. for all those who watched the anime, the novel is way better the world is described with more precision and get into way more details, the story development is better because you don't miss on small and big details that the anime didn't include. for those who read the manga, this is way better than the manga I read like 30 chapters of the manga they miss so much stuff that the novel has, I genuinely recommend not reading the manga and reading this instead it is just way better.
