When Mathew throws a lot of daggers, he kind of reminds me of an antagonist I watched from an anime. The anime antagonist has blonde hair, pale white skin, wears a vampire outfit, and is a vampire because of the stone mask and not to mention that he can stop time. No, I don't think that's it. I think he knows fully well how necessary school is for the future. If I remember correctly he even mentioned just that while introducing his sister to the story. I think he just doesn't like it, like how you don't like the taste of medicine but still take it since you know you need it.
