Honestly I was expecting more, he nerfs himself at the beginning and I was ok with the decision thinking it would be more fun it wasn’t, the nerf was there because he was supposed to be slightly OP but he got his teeth kicked in his first official fight by some guard, then he sacrificed summer to escape only to get pinned by some random old man the hell was the point in the nerf then if he was weak as shit ,and the main character he was immature and annoying with his interactions with others, I was excited for this because the powers he took but it went down the drain with the character development and storyline. There is something on its body, there is something a snake should not have. It was a wing. Yes, a wing with feathers. The newly born outstretched its wings and as it emerge from the egg completely its tail was shown and it too has some feathers in it.

If I remember correctly its to check to make sure the enchantments work before getting on
Like in the Harry Potter books we were shown how to summon the broomstick into our hands. According to madame Hooch, it's the traditional way to test the enchantments of the broom. Matthew always believed that wizards were just too lazy to pick their broom up, but it actually had safety reasons which are a bit contradictory, since the school brooms they use only react after a few tries.
