I just felt like I should talk about this.  I'm not dropping this novel to any of the little reader actually reading this.  I'm just barely inspired to write making me take a couple days before I write.  It also takes me a while to write a chapter with one of the main reasons being that I'm writing this on a phone instead of a computer where I can type faster with fewer mistakes.  


Another things is to tell people that I made some changes to past chapters making Gina, Noah's sister, have a daughter and a fiancé.  I then also phrased things differently when I looked back at certain parts of old chapters fixing grammar for some.

I'm using this novel to find techniques I could use to reduce writing things I feel like are redundant.
Lastly, when I think about writing something I'm usually thinking about other novel ideas I want to write, but don't because I don't want to ruin it with how I write the story.  This is why I made this novel, to practice trying to write a good novel.



I just wanted to tell any readers what I'm thinking about for novels.
here are my current ideas ranked by how much I really like it:
1. A novel like Vampire system(where someone gets a system that makes them non human)  I want to do that, but change how it is like to make it be inspired by it instead of a copy of it.  This story is going to be about a boy who gets a system turning him into a droconian basically.  He gets the ability to turn people into Fantasians.  A race that is made up of groups like werewolves and elves.  The setting is going to take place in multiple academies for some of the parts and the outside world in other parts.  There is many changes that I don't want to spoil, but I feel like it would definitely make it different from the novels like it(Vampire system and Great demon system).  The characters are going to change, but the overall mood and tone of the characters should still end up being similar to how they are at the beginning (this is just my way of saying don't leave when a character becomes too dark. Its just an important phase that should not appear again.)  This is the novel I really thought the most of and what made me want to write, but like I said I don't want to ruin it with bad writing.(this doesn't necessarily mean grammar)


2.This is like Legendary Mechanic, Monster Synthesis, Supreme Sage, and maybe The Game of A Blood Mage(player turns into a npc in a game they played along with getting sent back to before the game started)  The mc is mostly a mage.  He does some close fighting, but ultimately he should be an actual range fighter like a mage(he has almost all the abilities of a mage with a few extra).  He gets an exclusive class that allows him to use many element unlike normal mages along with unique ability other class could have(yes there are class that are like mutants/esper and basic classes that were in Legendary Mechanic and then more classes along with those)  This mc will not be monopolizing the players and will actually struggle against them sometimes (this doesn't mean that there will be players stronger than him just that there would either be a lot he has to fight, there are people fighting him too, or he has a disadvantage).  I'm not sure I want to add another part to the story with the mc becoming/gaining a trait related to a god of fear or if I want to make a separate novel related to this theme.  To make the starting world unique I felt like there being an apocalypse(I know there is an apocalypse in both).  There is going to be a zombie apocalypse that the mc is going to solve with him also not completely ridding the virus (he changes it to make it beneficial).

3.It takes place in a vrmmorpg.(This is going to be like Overgeared and Legendary Moonlight Sculptor)  At the beginning the mc completes a quest that leads him to experience a village getting annihilated.  The quest allows him to meet all the gods in the world.  Each major god is related to a class in the game along with minor ones related to the element types.  After realizing that the gods had the power to easily stop the slaughter at the village, the mc refuses the gods offer resulting in him angering them.  They punish him by erasing everything off of him and making him unable to get any of their classes and their variants.  This event with the village and the gods make him realize how bad of a human being he really is.  During the story he helps his sisters in the game and secretly as most of them do not trust him along with help his eldest sister with taking care of everyone.  He has to make his own path by getting inspiration from most classes in the game to make his very own allowing him to become a god.  For him to make his own class powerful he has to be talented and hard working along with someone luck.
These novels I really liked the ideo of it making me to want a story that is exactly as how I picture/thought it.  There are other novels I'm thinking about writing a novel like the God of Games novel, another novel where the mc is a god the makes a world and has to fight/defend his world from others like him [another idea is that mc becomes god of current/future earth and turns it into a world with a system, and an apocalypse novel.  This type I'm going to make more upbeat than the ones that I have seen/read.  The type of mood/ideology(this part is a kind of) really tires me out after 20 chapters.  So I will add more relaxing parts and pre-apocalypse semi-normalcy scenes to it along with not making the characters as grimm and dark.  They might be a little crazy though,  but not laugh from watching a genocide of people type of crazy.

This is all my thoughts related to writing and where my inspiration for writing juggling between.  This novel I thought of to improve my writing.  This doesn't mean I want it to be bad, but just that I really want people to comment about improvements or parts/moods/themes/moments that was not that good in the story.  So I would really like some criticism for this novel.

1000 years ago, the world experienced a disaster when portals appeared from the world's energy expanding. This also leads to the creation of hunters, who go in and delay portal outbreaks.

 Noah awakens a weird non combat ability, Market, and a devastating penalty that makes him need 10x as much exp than other hunters to level up. Along with many other things that makes him unable to become a hunter. Or does this ability allows him to become the strongest protector?

BTW this is my first ever novel and I have many more ideas for novels, but I do not want to ruin them until I get better so please critique this for me to get better. Also expect slow updates(pretty lazy sometimes and have to think about how I want to write)
P.S. I do go back and change things a little(nothing to drastic. More like adding an explanation I forgot to add, changing a skills name, fixing grammar, changing sentences to make them be more interesting, or reducing what is considered normal if I accidentally raised something too high.)

I'm sorry if anyone is waiting from me to release any of the chapters for the story, but I'm going to have to reschedule sometime in the future but don't worry I'm not going to give up on this story, but I we'll be writing a story called [ My demon king role!] you could check it out, I'm practising and learning with out worrying about the storyline being perfect that I well be satisfied with because I want

I just started learning how to explain my words and I want the story to flow.

If anyone is asking why I never wrote a message or chapter I we'll explain why. 

Remember when I said I live alone and I got hurt then sick. Well at that time I had to skip my class to recover at home but by the time I recovered I had so much work and my deadline was coming up soon, so I studied alone working like a mad man I passed my classes so me and other people get along holiday but because of all that work (big as 2 dictionary books) 

My reason because I was far behind from classes I missed when I was younger so I had to do other classes at the same time but by the time I finished I felt exhausted mentally and physically so on my spare time I was just relaxing my mind and body I have recovered but I was worried what to write so i thought of an idea why don't I just make a new light novel for practice and to write to my hearts content without worrying, but my other thought (but what do I write?) then it hit me I remember a story I was making when I was even younger 
(was on paper) I could write about that, thus that's how I came to a new novel I write and writing as I go on now. 

(Sigh) I'm sorry if you don't believe me but that's the truth. I'm explaining while trying to keep the story short about why the writer (me) and what's happening with my new idea for future updates.

When I first started ASTC, I read a manga called Grand Blue. It was one of the reasons why I wanted to write ASTC, other than that there was also a song called Gag by Hoshino Gen.
 
Without Gag ASTC first few moments will never occur in my mind and the web novel might never be written.
 
Then there was Giddens, his During Class Don't series is why my writing style turned like this. But the biggest inspiration of them all is actually my friends that I go to tuition with.

Since I was young I was considered one of the rare Asians who don't need to go to tuition the moment you could start speaking (my sister not so lucky). It was until I was form 4, the same time where ASTC started that I went to tuition for the first time in my life and that tuition centre I went to became After School Tuition Centre. (From now on I will be referring to the tuition centre I went to as After School Tuition Centre.)
 
But that isn't the first time I went to After School Tuition Centre, when I was a kid I followed my sister to send her of for her first day at After School Tuition Centre. Little did I know years later I would come back there and write a novel about my days there.
 
Not everything is perfect, during my first year I hated it there. I did not attended the tuition centre on day one, instead I went there around august which is really really late. Everyone already know each other and I turned into the lonely kid, and dumb me decided to forget to bring my calculator to class. (You ever tried to do physics without a calculator? Don't). And then yours truly place his add maths classes after his physics classes.
 
By that point I already felt like shit and just wanted to get this over with, I just sat down and starred at the teacher. (Really nice guy by the way.) And then a friend of mine that I have known since primary school walked in, I do not know that he was attending tuition there. If I did not decided to place all my classes in one day because I was lazy, ASTC would not exist because he then told me that there are others attending tuition on another day, Monday and Friday was the only day that no one from my will be there. I unknowingly picked the short end of the stick. (I blame add maths for this, two classes per week and both of them are during Thursday and Friday.)
 
So I stayed for the rest of the year and things turned from bad to okay, but it was the second year I was there that changed everything.
 
Five guys from the same school, one table and one crazy teacher. So one day I thought to myself, since I don't feel like writing The Damn Hunter might as well write a new novel. (Totally forgot there was a girl, but our tuition centre did not allow girls and boys to sit together unless if it is a punishment. Plus she always sat behind us and I don't grow eyes on my back.)
 
You all know about the sudden hiatus of ASTC right? If you don't during July ASTC stopped updating and there were two reasons for that. The first is a burnout from me and the second is one of the guys left, he changed his class to another day so he could see a girl he likes. (The girl did not know about him…but I respected that and sometimes he showed up with us occasionally)
 
And that is how ASTC was born. No one knows about this novel, and their personalities and names are changed. A good portion of the events are true and was used as an idea for ASTC chapter.
 
I also used another version of ASTC pilot for my SPM essay, all I can say is the person who marked my paper is a true man of culture. (Including the person who marked my 1119 paper, I don't know why you give ASTC 2A, but I still think that the score is too high. XD)

I know some of you younger ones reading this might hate this, but if you read this during 2020 and you are 20 years old then you are the old guy here.
 
If you are still in school, treasure every moment with your friends. You will miss them, you might not now but you will soon after you graduate. I was lucky enough to go on a trip with my friends( Not the ones from the tuition centre)and have a fun time at CF that year.
 
Other than that, don't create impossible deadlines for yourself. I mentioned that ASTC went into hiatus and one of the reasons is burnout, during a two week school holiday I decided to finish ASTC. To finish writing a whole novel in two weeks seems easy, especially for ASTC because the number of words rarely exceeded 800, but in one week I wrote 40+ chapters and decided to stop writing and just study the holiday away.
 
I hated ASTC during that time, I truly hated this novel. Plus the bad collections, views and power stones vote did not really help much.
 
After that one week, I kept on calculating how much longer till I reach my deadline and let me tell you something. 
 
The deadline is on September of 2019, it is almost the end of June 2020 (I finished the novel during June and finish publishing during July).
 
If it is a deadline made by your boss then follow it, you don't have much choice. But if it is your own deadline, then forget about it and never force yourself to chase time until you die.
 
<What will happen next?>
 
For starters I will take a break, I just finished Two Stack: A DOTA2 Story and immediately started writing ASTC. I don't know how long my break will last, but I don't think it will be that long.
 
For ASTC, this isn't a true end. ASTC is a part of the series I called the real life series which includes Two Stack and love between musicians, but the end of ASTC will mark a hiatus for the real life series for some time. ASTC will get occasional extra chapters, some that are already planned and some for example A Normal First Day was created by for other purposes but was not used.
 
For those readers who like all my work (I know you don't exist, if you do message me.) The Damn Hunter will come back for a while. While we are talking, a chapter has been released and the details for the release rate is written in the author's note.
 
If you really like my comedy, I think you could guess what I'm going to do next. I will be writing my next comedy will I'm working on two other novels, so don't really have your hopes up.
 
I would be attending university during September so I don't know how much longer I could write. But I hope that I could keep on continue writing and tell the stories that I want to tell.

Who am I lying to? I have tuition after school every day, being forced to learn some useless facts with a bunch of idiots with the risk of being killed by a back scratcher.

An adventure filled with laughs, love, friendships, perverts, and stupidity. Not so sure about the friendship and love part, but the stupidity and perverts are one hundred percent correct!

It was a wonderful eve of spring season. The whole different mood of weather. As usual i was going for taking my classes of learning a new different language. 

My friend 'Mia' called me from  behind - Hey! Ava, what's the plan either to bunk the classes or what ? 
Mia is a kind of cheerful girl, flawless, naughty and it's her usual question to ask. 
"No Mia, there is no scene of bunking the classes. We are attending." 
As we were going through the way, Mia suddenly punched me and wink towards me and signal me to look at him.
"Wow! Ava, look at him. Noah never forget to walk with us. Right?" 

Noah is one of my classmate. He once told me that he likes me a lot. So whenever we go to our classes from our homes, it's his daily routine to join us in mid of the way. The whole class was well being known about the fact so they always keep teasing me through his name or other things. Including Mia, she is the one who never ever miss a chance to do so and she teases Noah also all the time. 

"Noah, I think i am not feeling right to be here... Isn't it? I should have to leave and please you two talk to each other and one thing reach the classes on time." 

She laughed and get away leaving both of us with each other. I didn't know much about him so Mia always wants us to spend time together so that we get to know about each other. It becomes a daily routine. It's not been a long time that i have a joined the classes and he was there from before. 

"Ava, just take your time but not so long. I laughed. I fall in love with you when i saw you at the first sight and i ll always keep loving you no matter what." 

Noah always keep telling me what is his feeling towards me. 

So, we reach upto the class centre and i get into the class but Noah always came at the end. It's his different style which i think liked the most because when he came at the end all the benches get occupied and the only bench which remain is near to me. 
Noah always give a smile from the door and the whole class look up at him and he with full of his style came in and seat with me . 
And the class starts. 

"Noah, what are you writing on the bench?"
"Ava, look i am showing you my feelings, my love to you and this bench. I am writing your and my name on this. 

He is so notorious all the time. But all of his these things were making me fall towards him. 

As day by day all these things happened , i get used to them and all of his new new lovely stuffs make me like him and i started love spending time with him. 
That become something mutual to both of us now. 

One day i made my social account and some minute later i saw many of the friend requests are there and one of them is Noah. 
There was a smile on my face and i was blushing some way and we started talking on messages and there comes a moment where i accepted that i love him too, and i accepted his proposal. 

Next day, same as usual me, Noah and Mia were going to the classes. 

"Mia, you are coming in between us, huh. Now its the  time that you should have to leave us apart and let us spend our couple time together and i giggled."

" Wow! Noah, don't forget i am the one who bring you together. Don't you know i much love lessons i gave Ava to realise all this and you are saying this to me. Huh" 

We were laughing and enjoying and teasing each other and it's a wonderful day and thoroughly we bunked the class of that day and celebrated the first day of our love relationship.

Within the small building were filled with many children, Tatsuki scans they're surrounding as they stood on they're tip toes, trying to look over the crowd of children who were far more taller than Tatsuki.

'I can't see a thing! Why is everyone here so damn tall?! It's like drowning in a sea kids,' Tatsuki sighed.

'This was the similar back within my previous life as well, I was the shortest kid in my entire class. This absolutely sucks! How am I supposed to get popular if I'm basically shorter from anyone point of view?!' Tatsuki hopped up and down in fit of frustration.

"Hey! Stop jumping, some of us are trying to listen!" a boy with dark blue hair scowled before glaring down at Tatsuki.

"Sorry..." Tatsuki quieten they're voice, they stop hopping and simple tried to stand on they're tippy toes.

The boy scoffs to himself before rolling his gaze to a tall man wearing leather armor, towering over the many children in front of him.

'What's his problem? All I'm was trying to do is see what's going on, don't need to be such a brat about it,' Tatsuki clicked they're tongue as they tried to listen carefully to tall man's voice.

"Calm down children, calm down. Greetings to you all, from the newcomers to some of our seniors," the man spoke in a calm tone of voice.

Within this world, specially in the Commoners Towns there are buildings that are set up for children education called Classes.
Classes are the commoners schools in the Commoners Towns. The children that have experience with reading or writing.

The teachers who teach the children are soldiers with reading and writing experience while also having the proper training of close hand combat. This is mandatory for to lower the risk the many children in sake of getting kidnapped. The reason why this happens is because a commoner child with reading and writing knowledge costs quite a amount of coins to the people who live within the Noble Town.

"For those who don't know me, I'm Mr. Gōman. I'm one of the soldiers from South Gate," he spoke with a firm voice while showing a gentle smile.

'Gōman... Gōman... Go man? I know that's Japanese but... what was the meaning? Wasn't the meaning of Gōman mean arrogant? I think that's right? I should've paid more attention to my Japanese classes back in my previous life,' Tatsuki scrunch they're brow in annoyance.

"Today class before we start, I need you all to be set up into two groups," said Gōman before he brought out a crate filled with blue and red cloths.

"Create a line children, and you'll be given a blue or red cloths to wear. So to identify which group you will be in," Gōman said as passed all the children a cloth each.

"I'm red? Shall be then," I said to myself as wrapped the cloth around neck like a bandanna.

"Great..." said a boy as he clicked his tongue, he had a red cloth.

Guess I'm screwed, this brat probably want to try to put me in my place. I scan my surroundings as I noticed that all the children had their eyes on me, or should I say they were glaring at me. I'm obviously not welcomed here, but did I do to already become a outsider?

Hello everyone!! I am back and I know I was gone for like three weeks and I apologise. However, I have some sad news. I will be taking a break from writing. Yes I am ok. Nothing bad bad happened. I'm just really behind in my online classes and I need to catch up. And I will bf taking a break so I can focus all of my attention onto my schoolwork. I hope you can understand this. I am REALLY sorry and I don't wanna do this at ALL. But I don't really have a choice. I don't know when I'll start writing again but I will try not to make the break too long. I won't be dropping this novel or any other so don't worry about that. I am ok as well. I've just been really stressed lately. I never knew how much writing things down can help in a situation.
Though I feel uncomfortable and almost trapped writing this out feels like venting.
And already I'm crying thinking about it despite how unimportant it is.
For whatever reason I start crying when I think about asking advice so instead I'll try to work through just writing out my problem.
A diary entry about the present(sorta)
Recently the classes had been switched in my school however the biggest issue is still present and getting ever so prominent day by day.
Part of the problem is me as I enabled the other person however I still can't stand them.
Somehow only a few words are enough to make someone extremely off putting even when you had no prior issues with them.
Going further into the past it's to when I was in a different class right next to the problem.
Often they get really touchy so I ignore them though by this point I knew they wouldn't get the hint since it has been a couple of months already. There was no issue with their touchy ness as they never went past my shoulders, I felt weirdly sick in the stomach but it was easily ignored(not the best idea) and I felt this every time so ignoring it was natural.
Their topics of conversation already had me tuning out until their random bursts of what I considered harassment. So I left it alone as nothing really of note or importance happened and it was safe to ignore it. 
Eventually they attempted to drag me into their conversations more often and I believe they thought we were friends though I can't agree.
On the last day before our classes are switched they are touchy as usual it's just their conversation that becomes weird(bad/uncomfortable) still on my shoulder they start talking about touching my crotch.
Now that I've tried to move further away from them and talking to them less their reaching out to me and trying to have a conversation while I'm trying to add distance because that conversation just made me want to avoid them.

Thinking about it the only reason I wrote this was to see if it was something I should talk to someone about. The internet is anonymous and my family is a pain.

"mmh" I cant believe that guy did he even touched my tail please help "so what classes do you have Mochi?"  "mmph, oh uhh I have first math, then writing, arts,  gym, and etc." "ima going to take a look" they look we have the same classes except art and gym their swap on mine or yours" "heh yeah" mph I wonder what Himasahi-kun's class and Rei's too, wait why do I care mmmmmm... Since the Omega rate has been dropping the royalty decided that a Beta and a Alpha may be together to maybe get a Omega due to their roles that they may be able to get one but the chances are odd

It was a complete turnaround. Charlus became confident ever since he came back from the Flamel Manor. He performed several times better in every subject than he had in the short time that the Professors had taught him before he had been selected to study under Nicholas Flamel. 
While his performance was excellent, his attention wasn't on par. Charlus was caught dozing off in multiple classes. Out of all of his classes, the Herbology class was the one where he was caught the most. He gave excuses saying that the class was boring and that he wouldn't be able to go through that boring herbs more than once, he still received detention. Per class. He had a total of 10 hours of detention, all for one weekend. It took him two weeks to lose one weekend. To him, that was a fair trade.
Weeks rolled by. Charlus had received over 30 hours of detention. The professors were particularly strict because they felt that Charlus was not paying attention because he felt he was too special for their class.
"I am telling you. He will fail his finals when they come. He hasn't paid attention in a single class since coming here I am sure! I will personally invigilate his test so that he won't cheat. We should call his guardian too. Instill some sense into the boy. That much arrogance will do him no good."
Charlus was unaware that he was causing that huge of a predicament for himself. The real reason he was caught dozing off was that he was putting extra work into controlling his powers. This put a toll on his body and exhausted him. He couldn't just tell everyone that reason so he lied and said that the classes were boring. He wasn't worried about his finals since he had already learnt everything from Nicholas Flamel.


Beauxbatons | 17th February 1989 | 11 AM


Sirius was sitting in Madame Maxime's office with Charlus beside him.
"What did Charlus get caught for this time headmistress?"
Sirius asked Madame Maxime.
"He is not here because he has pranked someone, Mr Black. He is here because he has been repeatedly been caught not paying attention in class. It has happened over 30 times till now. We have given him as many detentions but he hasn't changed. We hope that you will find a way to make him change his ways. We care for every student and seeing a student waste his future in front of our eyes saddens us."
Sirius listened to Madame Maxime with doubt. As far as he knew, Charlus was very diligent and paid attention to most of his classes due to his interest in magic. If he had stopped, something must have happened.
"I will talk to him, Headmistress. In private. Charlus, Why don't you come with me for a walk?"
Charlus walked outside the office and followed Sirius onto the pavements of the Academy.
"Well, I find it hard to believe that you are skimming classes. Did something happen?"
Charlus shook his head.
"No!! I tried to explain it to the professors but they don't seem to understand. I already learnt what they are teaching us. If you want, I will prove it to you in the finals. I will get into the top 5 of my year."
Sirius laughed.
"Top 5? Just pass. That will be enough. But if you don't, you are in some serious trouble. You said that you would go back to Nicholas Flamel to study? That will depend on your results. Okay?"
Charlus nodded with seriousness."


Beauxbatons | 28th April 1989 | 9 AM


"You all have your papers in front of you. Each of you is given 2 hours to solve the paper. I am watching all of you carefully, so DO NOT CHEAT. I repeat, DO NOT CHEAT."
The invigilator sat at the desk in the front of the examination hall and observed the students. She had been told by the herbology teacher to pay extra attention to the student named Charlus Potter.
Charlus read each question on the paper carefully. He sighed with relief when he found all of them familiar. It was a Herbology paper so most of the questions were centred around identifying plants and their characteristics. He started writing down the answers confidently onto his answer sheet. 
The invigilator noticed that Charlus was writing with focus and not looking around at others. She also noticed that he hadn't even stopped to think while writing the answers. Even if he knew the answer sheet, he would have to stop and think to recollect the facts. He definitely wasn't under the effects of a potion since potions were detected when students entered the examination halls.
Charlus quickly wrote all the answers and put down his pen. He bundled up his answer sheets and put them aside. He then chose to sleep. The exam wasn't difficult, but it was irritating. He had another exam immediately after the Herbology one so he decided to keep his mental state at it's highest. He wanted to get the best results so he could prove to the Professors that he had nothing against them.

Magic is a fickle being. In the hands of a scholar, it usher development. In the hands of a madman, it brings destruction. To master magic in it's essence, however, would be impossible. If one did, however, he would be able to contend with death itself.
Charlus Potter has a gift. Having a gift, however, is often not enough. Can Charlus Potter use this gift for the betterment of the society, as well as his friends and family? Or will he succumb to the power like many before him?

Story is slow at first but picks up speed quickly. Recommendation to people who want to skip to the plot - read till chapter 15 and then skip to chapter 60.
