Men are on their way to the Moon when suddenly their course is changed to Mars and they cant do anything about it.

The Martian planet quaked when the Martian Colony Governor barked out her orders, and a wave of spirit energy appeared out of nowhere. It had the planet as its center as it rippled outward, surging into the surrounding cosmos. It was like a swift hurricane that threatened to sweep away everything in its path.
The Martian Colony Governor's strong and decisive character, as well as the unyielding fire hidden deep in her bones, ensured that the battle on Mars would be completely different from the battles on Venus and Mercury. The dramatic difference had caught Daoist You Ran completely by surprise!
He had been aware of the strange capabilities the Solar System Array Formation possessed since the onset of the invasion. He had tried to think of many ways to circumvent it, but it seemed almost impossible to infiltrate Earth unless he destroyed the key planets supporting the array formation.
That had been the reason for the battle on Venus and the battle now against Mars. He had never expected Mars to unleash the Solar System Array Formation's power in such a manner!
It was equivalent to triggering the self-destruct mechanism for the Solar System Array Formation. The difference was instead of doing it once, the destruction was controlled and released in waves. The force of the explosions wouldn't be as strong, but the array formation wouldn't be rendered completely useless. Regardless… its strength would be weakened. If Daoist You Ran had the luxury of time, he could even attempt to weaken the array formation by sacrificing his troops. Eventually, he would be able to get past Mars, barge through the Solar System Array Formation, and enter Earth.
However, Daoist You Ran was caught in a dilemma. It would've been easier on him if he didn't have Zi Yue's orders. He recalled her explicit instruction to capture Wang Baole alive. Then, he eyed the Never-Ending Clan puppets. After a moment of thought, he gritted his teeth and abandoned the idea of weakening the Solar System Array Formation. If he did choose to do so, he would also be giving Mars more time to strategize and fight back.
"Attack with everything you've got!" An icy glint flashed across his eyes as he barked out his orders. The vast fleet of Dao Palace battleships rushed towards Mars and unleashed their full power. The fleet resembled numerous arrows that had been fired from bows, charging towards the Solar System Array Formation's first offensive wave and colliding head-on with the former.
Numerous battleships disintegrated instantly in the self-destructive wave erupting from the Solar System Array Formation. The cultivators on board were killed instantly, their bodies turned to dust. Many battleships shook under the shock waves and suffered varying degrees of damage.
The Federation battleships and the Dharmic Artifacts on Mars unleashed their attacks then as well. Their attacks were interspersed with the destructive waves of energy from the array formation, forming an offensive barrier that prevented the Dao Palace from advancing.
However, the first wave of offense eventually weakened as the Dao Palace fleet persisted in its advance. Hordes of Dao Palace battleships approached Mars. An icy glint flashed across the Martian Colony Governor's eyes then. The second and third offensive waves were activated consecutively!
Explosions thundered in the cosmos surrounding Mars, and spheres of light flashed as Dao Palace battleships blew up. Battleships that survived destruction continued to receive damage. When the fourth offensive wave swept across the cosmos, sixth-tenths of Daoist You Ran's fleet had been decimated!
Countless cultivators perished. Amongst them were Dao Palace survivors, but a majority were Never-Ending Clan puppets. The battleships suffered great damages as well. Daoist You Ran's fleet had shrunk considerably when compared to the original numbers he had at the beginning of the invasion.
That might seem like a great achievement, but the Federation had paid a great price for it. The Solar System Array Formation had weakened considerably, its power shaved off. The gates protecting the core of the Federation had thinned, its defenses weakened.
Mars had also lost the ability to make use of the Solar System Array Formation for mass teleportation. Unlike the battle on Venus, it was no longer possible to teleport everyone away simultaneously should there be a need for it. The best that it could do was teleportation by batches. Mars was effectively driving itself into a corner. 
It was hard to determine whether they had gained more or lost more in this exchange. However, Li Xingwen and Duan Muque had chosen to support the governor's decision. They didn't say anything. Instead, they watched closely as the battle unfolded.
"Battleships, fall back, draw them in. Great Martian Array Formation, be on standby. Martian cultivators, await my orders as well!" The Martian Colony Governor narrowed her eyes as she barked out her orders. The Federation battleships defending Mars in space immediately retreated and ceased fire. Dao Palace battleships immediately rushed through the line of defense and entered the airspace above the Martian City. Dao Palace cultivators and Never-Ending Clan puppets rushed out of the battleships in hordes. Their target, the Martian City!
"Kill everything on the planet and find Wang Baole!" The battleship that Daoist You Ran was aboard emerged in a thunderous explosion in the Martian skies. It was a giant that seemed to block out the entire sky, casting a black shadow over the land.
Inside the Martian City, everyone was currently reeling back with shock. Zhao Yameng and Kong Dao were amongst these cultivators. They stared at the enormous battleship in the air, a dark looming entity that obscured the skies. A kind of madness colored their eyes as they swore they would fight to their last breath.
The remaining survivors of the Dao Palace showed hesitation in response to Daoist You Ran's orders. In comparison, the mindless Never-Ending Clan puppets accepted the orders without protest. They obediently charged out, murder clear in their eyes, and rushed towards the Martian City beneath them.
The Dao Palace cultivators and Never-Ending Clan puppets descended like a storm, falling from the heavens and approaching their target. It was then that…
"Activate the Great Martian Array Formation's first wave of suppression!" The Martian Colony Governor made a hand seal promptly. The Great Martian Array Formation shuddered violently and released a wave of suppressive force that swept the skies and hit the approaching army.
There wasn't much lethal force behind the attack. Instead, it was a mental shock wave that sent many Dao Palace cultivators' heads buzzing. The entity pulling the strings of the Never-Ending Clan puppets was also affected and momentarily rendered motionless.
"We fight now!" As the array formation's shock wave rippled across the battlefield, the Martian Colony Governor's declaration thundered in the air. Masses of Federation cultivators charged out, roaring, and Federation battleships appeared in the air, providing aerial support. They seized the momentary pause in the enemy troops' charge and began… their counterattack!
Casualties on both sides spiked instantly. The figures were alarming. Blood rained down from the skies without ceasing. Broken limbs plunged to the ground. Screams of terror and pain pierced the air. Suicidal self-destruction boomed. Anti-Spirit Bombs exploded while Never-Ending Clan puppets fought fearlessly. Scenes of death and violence repeated themselves on the Martian battlefield.
A battle on land did result in Daoist You Ran and his army's loss of the aerial advantage. In addition, the waves of suppression unleashed by the Great Martian Array Formation boosted the Federation cultivators' offensive attacks. Regardless, the difference in power separating the two sides remained. Mie Liezi and two other Soul Conduit realm cultivators decided to join the battle. Daoist You Ran, who had been using the Death Dao Battleship to search for Wang Baole, chose to divide his attention between the search and the battle. Under his command, the Death Dao Battleship unleashed countless runes, which transformed into pillars of light that crashed into the Martian City. Even with the array formation's defenses, Mars was still at the losing end of the battle! 
Half of the city was destroyed in an instant, and black flames spread fiercely and rapidly across the planet, refining both cultivators caught in the fires and the planet itself. Of course, Mars was still fighting back fiercely and holding its ground. Its cultivators had sworn to fight to their last breath. Spirit Science genius Zhao Pinfang's preparation for the battle had paid off. The Martian retaliation against its enemies was fearsome and terrifying to behold.
Seventeen Stellar Source Spirit Cannons, fueled by the Martian stellar source, were raised above the ground and fired simultaneously. Beams of light blasted into the sky, shocking even Daoist You Ran with their power.
Next came the Anti-Spirit Bombs, a weapon the Dao Palace was intimately familiar with. Amongst these bombs were those with an explosive force as powerful as an attack from a Nascent Soul realm cultivator. Their purpose wasn't to kill, it was… to create chaos and effectively lock down the entire battlefield, preventing Nascent Soul realm enemy cultivators from teleporting!
The Federation had few Nascent Soul realm cultivators. It suffered little in comparison to the enemy if both sides were to lose the ability to teleport. This would be to the Federation's advantage!
Then came the more powerful Anti-Spirit Bombs. They were each as powerful as an attack from a Soul Conduit realm cultivator but were fewer in numbers. Their terrifying power meant their greater importance in the battle. Finally, Zhao Pinfang also had a trump card ready for the Martian battle!
That was… an artificial cosmological entity that resembled a Dyson Sphere!
Countless Dharmic Artifacts rose into the air and surrounded the planet, transforming into an enormous Dyson Sphere. Its function wasn't to drain the planet of its power. Instead… it sucked the waves of spirit energy and Spirit Qi on the battlefield, serving as an offensive weapon while… creating a sealed environment on the battlefield!
It was a barricade around Mars that stopped the flow of Spirit Qi on the planet and prevented any inflow of Spirit Qi!
The Federation had shown all its trump cards in this battle. This was the fiercest counterattack that it was mounting. They still weren't a match for the enemy, but they had effectively dragged out the battle. The seal that prevented any inflow of Spirit Qi to support cultivators' use of mystic techniques meant that firearms came in useful in this battle. That was a further disadvantage to the Dao Palace. The situation worsened as time passed!
Nevertheless, this was a universe ruled by cultivation. The unparalleled significance of individual power was proven as a furious Daoist You Ran abandoned his search for Wang Baole and chose to join the battle. He crushed the Dyson Sphere around the planet effortlessly. 
I refuse to believe that you can still manage to escape if I destroy this entire planet, Wang Baole! A murderous glint flashed in Daoist You Ran's eyes. He was ready to unleash his full power and annihilate the planet. It was then that Wang Baole's avatar, hiding deep underground in the belly of the Dark Artifact, lifted his head abruptly. There was a solemn look on the avatar's face.
The repairs of the Dark Artifact weren't complete, but the ninth-grade bow had been fully restored, and the two Star Fang Beast corpses had been successfully refined. The corpses couldn't compare to their living Spirit Immortal realm selves, but they were still at the Soul Conduit realm.
The only way to gain more time to repair the Dark Artifact is to fight! Wang Baole's avatar narrowed his eyes, and a ghostly light erupted from his form. His right hand made a grab through the air, causing the bow to come flying towards him. The two beast corpses opened their eyes and released twin howls. With Wang Baole in the lead, they made their way through the Dark Artifact and emerged above ground!


By the year 3029 CE, Earth's technology has developed rapidly, borders no longer exist, and Earth has been unified, marking the beginning of the era of the Federation.

At that time, a huge sword flew from the heavens, piercing the sun and causing a huge sensation on Earth.

Perhaps because the scabbard of the sword was already in tatters, countless shards have broken off from it following the collision with the sun and spread across the universe. Many of these shards have landed on various places across Earth.

With the arrival of the bronze sword and its shards, a new unlimited energy source has suddenly appeared on Earth. This energy source has since been named Spirit Qi.

Spirit Qi is like air, thick in some places and thin in others. As the Federation and other factions gather more shards, they discover more information on cultivation, pill refinement, Spirit Stone refinement, and other techniques. The words on the shards have an ancient feel to them, making it a trend for people to use ancient language.

The appearance of Spirit Qi rapidly makes the original energy sources obsolete and has completely changed people's lives. Not only has the Spirit Internet been formed, Spirit Qi has also changed the course of Human Civilization, causing the world to enter a civilization of cultivation. This would later come to be known as the Spirit Inception Era.
 


"New Orders have been received."
After receiving this message, the Martian rebel Keila Eisenstein tapped a control on her portable hologram communication device. The portable communicator's AI showcased a hologram of Keila's mother Susanna and utilised her sweet motherly voice as text-to-voice narration. 
Keila took cover behind a tall rock, and faced away from the wind. The freezing desert wind was blowing on her beautiful face, and even while equipped with the re-breathers, it was hard breathing in enough oxygen to stay there for long. In the desert, no-one was able to pump the atmosphere full of oxygen and provide with extra heating, even with the help of space orbital mirrors. 
The hologram of Susanna spoke:
-          We have a new objective for you, Keila. Lieutenant Johannes Muller will be meeting with some Salomethamine smugglers in the Argyle Basin in three days. The smuggler's camp is located nineteen kilometres from the northern edge of the basin. We need you to intercept the illegal drug trade and kill Johannes. We cannot allow House Muller to spread this new drug on Mars. (Message from Hellas Petrakis)
Keila turned off the hologram. She threw a tirade of curses at her mother. After ranting towards a hologram of her mother, Keila felt a sense of guilt. Her mother hadn't given the order, her mother was only the interface she used for the AI's voice. 
Keila closed her eyes and waited for a guiding vision to come into her mind. She saw the face of a wise old deity who spoke to her: 
-          I can guide you on your path, if you choose to stop the Salomethamine smugglers.
Keila: 
-          Thank you, Master Brahma.
Keila opened her eyes. The problem was that she had to make a choice then and there. She didn't want to be the lapdog of Hellas Petrakis pursuing towards his ambition to secretly weaken House Muller overlords. But what else could she do? Her actions had caused her to be the most wanted person in the solar system, and the entire Terran Council was looking for her. Besides, Salomethamine was a terrible drug, Keila knew this from her own experience. 
A few months earlier, Keila had been the sex slave of the sadistic drug-using sociopath Rear Admiral Bjorn Muller from the Terran Council. Of all the atrocities he had carried out towards her, feeding her Salomethamine was the worst. The drug Salomethamine was designed to make the Martian race to be obedient slaves, desperate to get their fix. Bjorn had injected Keila with the drug, and the withdrawal was the worst thing she had ever experienced. Her withdrawal from Salomethamine was the purest form of physical and mental agony, and there had been only one thing she wanted more than dying for it to end. That one thing was another hit of the drug. 
Seeing Keila in her weakened state, Bjorn had become careless and he had himself taken a dose of the drug in front of her while forcing her to give him fellatio. This was when Master Brahma had reached Keila's mind and given her the resolve to fight back. Keila had bit off Bjorn's penis to retaliate against his sadomasochistic controlling behaviour, and through her guiding premonitions, she had found her way to an emergency shuttle that took her back to her planet Mars. 


President Hellas Petrakis of the Olympus Republic had found Keila wounded, and he had manipulated her into killing the Terran Council leader, Hans Muller. Keila had gained access to the elderly Hans Muller's palace in Mars while posing as a prostitute, and she had ended his reign of terror with a poisoned needle. 
President Petrakis had fooled her. Ending the life of Chairman Hans Muller hadn't succeeded in ending the Terran oppression of the Martian population. Instead, the Terran Council had started another war against the planet's impoverished inhabitants.
Keila's mind returned to the present. No matter how she felt about Hellas Petrakis, she had to stop Johannes Muller and his Salomethamine smuggling operation. When confronted by bad options, she had to stick with the lesser evil. Keila set her built-in GPS to the Salomethamine smugglers camp's location. If she walked fast, she would arrive in two days, on the 12th of January 2869. Keila put down her communication device and started walking. She would need to walk fast to reach the smuggler's camp on time. Besides, walking fast was the only way to keep warm in this freezing wasteland.

"Targets acquired." 
Keila overlooked the smuggler's camp through the AI-enhanced visor in her battle armour helmet. There were five Martians Salomethamine smugglers in the camp, accompanied by Johannes Muller. There were also a few chained-up Martian women sitting in the corner of the camp. 
Keila turned off her visor activation mode. She would not allow the AI in her helmet to guide her movements this time. She knew that her enemies also had AI-enhanced weaponries, so if she followed the AI prompts, the fight would most definitely be determined by whoever had the best AI. 
Keila closed her eyes and whispered: 
-          Please fill me with your spirit and guide me on my true path, Master Brahma.
The ancient Zetan deity didn't reply, but Keila felt a rush of energy surging through her body, which showed that Brahma had granted her request. Filled with determination, Keila snuck towards the camp.

Johannes Muller was looking at the sickly and drugged-up Martian female slaves that the smugglers had brought to him as sex toys. They were filthy, reeking, and their Martian looks repelled his desire to fornicate. Did he really need to fuck these wenches to assert his Terran dominion? 
Being a semi-prominent member of House Muller, which was the ruling faction in the Terran Council, Johannes had regular meetings with the genetically-engineered stunning women working in the Lustmädchen department. Those artificially engineered women had idealised Germanic looks and an elevated sex drive, which made them the ultimate sexual partners. The Martian prisoners in front of him were not at all seductive, and besides, they were full of radiation-infested skin blisters, drugged up on Salomethamine. 
"I must do this in order to assert superiority." Johannes said to himself and switched on the visual recording device to initiate his holographic video shoot. He would film a video where he asserted his dominance over these Martian sex slaves as a military protocol. That was his duty as a House Muller officer, at least according to his second-cousin and commanding officer, Rear Admiral Bjorn Muller. 
Having made up his mind, Johannes snorted some sexual enhancement drugs Phlextasy, got himself undressed, and started masturbating while shouting Terran slogans to work himself into a frenzy.

"Not so fast, Johannes." 
Johannes Muller was about to penetrate one of the chained-up sex slaves, when the sharp and confident voice of Keila Eisenstein caught his attention. She aimed a pistol at him. 
Johannes:
-          You must be Keila Eisenstein. The entire Terran Council is looking for you.
Keila: 
-          I know. Yet here I am. It looks like I caught you with your pants down.
Johannes: 
-          It's not up to me. Rear Admiral Bjorn Muller forced me to do this.
Keila: 
-          You had a choice. You chose to drug and **** these women. I guess the rigged visual recording device is there so you can send evidence of your despicable actions to Bjorn.
Johannes: 
-          My father is wealthy. If you let me live, I'll give you whatever you want.
Keila:
-          That's a tempting offer. There is only one problem.
Johannes:
-          What is that?
Keila: 
-          What I want is to kill you.
Having said this, Keila shot Johannes between the eyes with two rapid shots. After this, she grabbed Johannes' visual recording device and the keys, and she unlocked the chains that bound the drugged-up women. She hesitated for a bit. The only way she could leave the camp with these captured Martian women was if she got them onto a hovercraft. But if she did, she risked the detection of the eye in the sky.
Keila made up her mind. She had been in the same situation as these captured women, and knowing the pain they had to endure, she wouldn't leave them behind. The only way for her and the Martian Humanist Alliance to rise against the Terran Council was to show compassion towards those who are suffering. 
"Come with me!" Keila urged and the women rushed towards the hovercraft. Before she left the camp, she set some explosives to blow up the camp and the huge stash of Salomethamine. 
Keila smiled to herself, as she left the scene of the burning Salomethamine camp. She had won this battle, but the real war was yet to come. She would free her people from oppression, and Bjorn Muller would pay for his crimes.
 
The end

For 2021, I aiming to write 100 short stories. I will post them here, and they will be a mixture of genres and lenghts.

Observing the surface of the red planet's desert surface, deep cavities spread far and wide as two silhouettes dashed across the surface, violently pursued by another much larger silhouette traveling at high speeds. The smaller silhouettes being the two Martians, maneuvering and evading the larger silhouettes concussive blows, focusing on their defensive capabilities rather than retaliating against their target.

Spencer, who was in his most monstrous form, continued his relentless attack against the two White Martians, taking advantage of his massive size and momentum to place the two Martians at a greater disadvantage. He continually sent out massive area effect attacks to allow the two enemies fewer opportunities to evade his strikes.

The two Martians tried to attack him mentally from time to time to slow him down and allow them ample opportunity to retaliate and potentially severely wound him, but each attempt they made to assault his mind would be fruitless as he had already greatly enhanced it to resist the attacks. His body had already greatly adapted to combat the frequent psychic anomalies.

They were growing agitated by their failure to severely wound Spencer, and they soon came to notice that any damage that they would manage to inflict upon him, would heal in a manner of seconds, leading them to be in a standstill that they felt that they would soon lose if they could not find a way to finish Spencer off.

To hold this humongous beast, the male Martian increased his size and clashed against Spencer. Hand to hand, the two colliding created a gust that lifted the sand and disturbed the terrain. Pushing to overtake the other, the ground beneath the two began to split as they pushed the other away.

Whilst this was happening, the female martian would attack Spencer from various angles, using her ability to phase as a way to disorient him and attack him in his potential blind spots, inflicting minor accumulating wounds.

Spencer aggressively kicked the male Martian in the stomach, sending him flying back with an audible shockwave. The Martian bounced on the sand and caught himself after a slight tumble, then immediately charged back at Spencer.

Seeing that Spencer was paying her no mind, the female Martian grew irritated by the fact that he did not see her as a considerable enough threat to attack, placing all of his attention on killing the male Martian. In her annoyance, she used this to her advantage, attacking Spencer from all sides, using all of the methods that she could. She bombarded Spencer's body relentlessly.

Meanwhile, the male Martian who was continuously surprised by Spencer's neverending resilience realized that no matter how much they attacked him, it would be for naught. This beast would continue to attack as if he was unaffected by their attacks, no matter how fierce they were, even it would be able to kill any other creature on this planet instantly.

Morphing her lower body into that akin to a snake, the female Martian wrapped herself around the lower half of Spencer's body in an attempt to restrict his movement. As she did this, the male Martian punched him in the face and sent him bouncing roughly a mile in the opposite direction.

Catching himself with a flip, Spencer used his inner energy as a means to kick off the air and launch back at the male Martian. Holding two condensed balls of inner energy in his hands, he threw it at them. Upon collision, a dust cloud was formed.

Spencer emerged from the cloud and instantly dodged to his left. On his right side, the female Martian had shifted her arms into blades and tried to impale Spencer. He quickly waved his hand in her direction and projected a wall of spines.

The female hastily phased through the ground. Spencer was then immediately hit in the face by the male, which he then retaliated by infusing his fist with inner energy and punching towards it with his maximum output. Entering its phased state, the male Martian continued to move towards Spencer, but instead of Spencer's punch phasing through his chest as it normally would, a deep cavity was formed on the Martian's chest as it was sent flying with great force.

Feeling his chest being held down to the ground, Spencer looked down to see a pair of hands holding him. Raising his hands above his head, he slammed the ground beneath him, forming yet another cavity.

Seeing that he was released, he flew up and extended both his palms.

Spencer began to wonder how he managed to punch the male MArtian even though his hand was supposed to go through him. His thoughts soon landed on one potential cause.

"Hmm... Let's see if my theory is correct!"

Forming six small balls of energy, he condensed them and slowly made them rotate around his wrists. Flickering from the sky, Spencer appeared in front of the male and threw a flurry of punches, pummeling and pushing him back with each hit.

Despite trying to phase through Spencer's punches, -due to them being coated in energy-, the male Martian was unable to and had to endure all of the beast's hits. Soon, breaking from the pressure, the male could no longer retaliate as his body began to shrink back to its normal size.

"Where's all the spunk you had a second ago, huh?!"

Kicking the male Martian into the ground, Spencer turned around and spat a ball of energy at seemingly nothing. However, in the next moment, as it collided with the phased female Martian, a shriek rang out as she revealed her body while plowing down to the ground.

Turning back to the male Martian, Spencer went for another barrage of punches to make sure that he would stay down for sure this time, but this time around, less and less of them landed until the martian was essentially capable of avoiding all of his punches.

Evading Spencer's punches, he was going for a kick to his leg to get him to lose his balance. They could no longer take this monster lightly in his new state, as he could now hit them even while they were phasing. Putting all his strength into the kick to Spencer's leg, he was greatly shocked when Spencer simply ignored the kick and proceeded to punch him through the ground in one swift motion.

The female Martian who phased from beneath Spencer, with her blades arms, was about to execute an attack on his back and phased underground only to sprung up below him. However, Spencer long had sensed her actions, and as soon as she sprung up she was swatted out of the air like a fly with a backward kick infused with his inner energy. She went tumbling through the sand, but before she could stabilize herself, Spencer appeared before her location and caught her in a hug.

Embracing the struggling female Martian, Spencer looked down at her with a threateningly calm expression.

"So, you like penetrating things huh? Guess what, I do too!" He said with a chilling smile on his face.

Before the female Martian could attempt to escape or phase through his hold Spencer hugged her tighter. His frame swelled and countless spines suddenly protruded from his body, impaling his captive and him a pained shriek from her. With the added paralysis effect infused within his spines, the female Martian was now unable to move.

Dropping her hole littered and paralyzed body on the floor, Spencer bound her body with his inner energy to make sure she would not get back up for a while. Breaking off a spine from the countless on his body, Spencer infused a decent amount of inner energy into it and threw it to his left, seemingly without a target. 

The spine collided with something in mid-air and began to surge violently, enveloping what it had hit and created an outline.

The male Martian slowly began to materialize as the target that Spencer had hit with his spine, paralyzing him as well. Before he had time to react to the attack, Spencer flickered over to the now stunned enemy and picked him up by the neck. Watching as he struggled in distress, his form shifting and changing, looking relatively unstable.

Waving his hand, the female Martian covered in his inner energy began to float towards his side and rested there without even a glance from Spencer. Still examining the male Martian in his hand, Spencer made him levitate as well.

Undoing his transformation, his bones shifting back and his muscles shrinking, Spencer returned to his normal state.

"I remembered something that I read before… Supposedly, you Martians can only use your abilities if your minds are intact and fully functioning."

Raising his hand and waving it in front of the male Martian, Spencer continued his speech.

"Now that you both can barely think straight from the poison and my inner energy messing with you from the inside, you are basically no longer any threat."

Now that he had the two dangling in front of him, Spencer placed his hand on his chin and began looking at the two white Martians up and down. He carefully analyzed the two.

"Apart from the obvious skin-color difference, you guys seem to look more intimidating than your Green counterparts…"

He examined their appearance closely: exoskeleton-like armored skin, sharp teeth and claws, while also sporting red eyes. Spencer wasn't especially impressed by their outer appearance, he only cared about the unique abilities and traits they held within their species.

Holding out his hand, Spencer slowly channeled concentrated amounts of his inner energy into his palm, condensing what would have been the size of a small house, down to that of a tennis ball. Due to the immense pressure, the condensed ball of energy radiated an immense amount of heat into its surroundings. He then slowly shaped the ball into the shape of a thorn.

"I also read that you guys are weak to heat-based attacks… Though I have to admit, that makes no sense… Your home is basically a big never-ending desert…"

Moving the energy thorn in between his index and middle finger, Spencer extended it into a blade and swiftly severed the heads of the male and female Martians before they could have a say in his actions. In the next moment, their carcasses liquefied and slowly migrated into his body similarly to all the other creatures he killed and absorbed so far.

Opening his arms and embracing the assimilation, Spencer relaxed his body as the essence of the two white Martians fused with him and became one with his mass. He immediately felt an immediate increase in his strength and power, filling him with an intoxicating sensation that he hasn't enjoyed in years.

"Ah… Nothing can surpass this feeling…"

Clenching and opening his hand, Spencer was restless to make use of the new abilities had just earned. Attempting to figure out how to become invisible as they did, Spencer soon succumbed to a mind-shattering pain. His body began to convulse and shake, he felt as if molten lava was being slowly poured on his brain and every nerve in his body.

He could only scream out in pain as his body began to slowly melt before his eyes, his skin began to liquefy and drip to the sand as his bones soon followed. His screams halted as his lungs and vocal cords have liquefied as well. His eyes melted out of their sockets. Within just a few moments, he became a mass of fluid on the arid sands of Mars.

A young American teenager, Spencer had an unexpected death by the hands of two men. Due to some unforeseen turn of events, he is transported to a world filled with powerhouses capable of destroying entire worlds. Wielding powers bestowed by a transcendental being, follow Spencer in his journey to the ZENITH.

'' Can I get your autograph sir. '' A man begged Lazarus.

'' Sure why not. '' Lazarus said as he gave his autograph, as well as taking a selfie with the man.

'' Haha! those bitches are gonna get so jealous. '' With that the man left.

'' Hehe. '' Lazarus laugh awkwardly. '' It looks like people still know me here, even though I'm light years away from earth. ''

Currently Lazarus was in a hall with the other rookies like him waiting for their first task. The only difference between him and them, was that the other rookies were already sitting together with their squad mates and he was not.

He was sitting on a sitting on a steel chair  that was place around a table. There were about fifty tables in the hall, for the fifty new squads. 

Lazarus got tired of waiting and simply stretched out placing both his legs on the table and yawned. '' Man where the hell are my squad mates. They should be here already. ''

'' I hope I'm not late ? '' 

Lazarus looked at the sources of the voice, it was from a young man, he had black and spiky longhair, with his bangs covering his right eye. A goatee and a pair of glasses.

'' Not exactly. '' Lazarus sat straight. '' The name's Lazarus, you must be Shailang ? '' Lazarus extended his hand for a hand shake.

'' Yup that's me. '' Shailang shook his hand.

'' So you know where are our other Squad mates are? '' Lazarus asked.

'' Yeah, they are right beside you. '' Shailang pointed out.

Lazarus immediately turn to his right and he was greeted with his other two Squad mates. One had dyed blonde hair, fair skin and a very handsome face, but the scar on neck was the thing that stood out. The other had dark hair with a tanned skin, he had his hair in a slick back fashion, but he had a very scary look face and the scars on his face made him look very intimidating. Also he was wearing a buttoned shirt with the sleeves rolled up, revealing that his arms was covered with tattoos. 

Lazarus was shocked that he did not even felt their presence when they arrive, as if they were ninjas of something like that.

'' How did you two manage to get here with out alerting me? You Ninjas or something? ''

'' No. We're just stealthy. '' The one with the tattoos said.

'' Well, my name's Lazarus, you must be. ''

'' John. '' The one with the tattoos said and shook his hand. '' And he's Ferando. '' John pointed at Ferando with his thumb. '' He can't speak by the way. ''

'' Oh my , but he can hear right? '' Shailang asked.

Ferando nodded as if to say yes. 

'' I know sign language by the way. '' Lazarus raised his hand to get everyone's attention. '' The police  academy taught me those stuff. ''

'' I also know sign language. '' Shailang also raised his hand. '' My father said that I would need it one day. ''

'' Now we can can communicate with each other easily. '' Lazarus was quite happy with his team, although they were a bunch of misfits, at least they can communicate with each other. 

'' You know it's very rare for people to learn sign language these days. '' John said. '' People think that it's boring and useless. Because Technology these days can cure anything. ''

'' You're right about that. '' Lazarus agreed. '' You know I'll be frank you, the first thing I thought when I saw you was that, '' Damn, that guy looks scary as fuck! '' Never knew you would be such a wise guy. ''

That made John to chuckle. '' Like What Father Edward said, '' You may look like a mother fucking Devil, but I'm sure you are not one. '' ''

'' Haha those are some very wise words, if we ignore the part where he said '' mother fucking '' ''

'' That's Father Edward for ya. '' Ferando said through sign language.

'' So where is that Andy though? '' Shailang asked, '' I thought all Martian people were very punctual. ''

John scoffed at the name Andy especially when he heard the word Martian. '' All Martian are the fucking same. They are a bunch of inhospitable, heartless, annoying, and violent race of Assholes. ''

'' Uhh. That's kinda racist you know. '' Lazarus said awkwardly. 

'' I also agree with Lazarus. '' Shailang also agreed with him. '' I haven't met a Martian in my life, but I'm sure not all of them are that bad. ''

'' Wait till you meet that bastard Andy. '' John scoffed, '' Or better if you visit Mars yourself, you will realize that I was right. ''

Lazarus and Shailang turned to Ferando, '' He had a very bad experience with the Martians. '' Ferando explained in sign language.

'' Believe me, all Martians are the same. '' John then continued, '' They're a race of assholes. ''

'' I dare you to say that again. '' Someone said with rage burning with every word he said. The room suddenly felt a strong killing intent coming from the person who said those words.

All of them turned to see a very paled skined Martian, with blonde hair and the iconic pitch black eyes with the white pupils and a black dot on the center that every Martian has. His face seemed to show no emotions, but it was clear that he was very angry.

John stood up and began to walk towards the pissed off Martian. '' Look who's here, It's the Martian asshole. '' John mocked with a grin on his face, showing no fear what so ever. 

'' Today you will die by my hands, you Drug dealing bastard ! '' The Martian was fuming with rage, and released an even greater amount of killing intent. Everyone in the room was backing off, otherwise they will feel the wrath of the Martians.

There are rumors, stating that Martians can keep grudges for a long time, and the receiving side of these grudges never end up with a happy ending.

But John, despite all of the killing intent direct to him, he simply laughed at the Martian. '' Andy... how many people do you think have said the same thing to me, yet they died by own hands... I am not even sure of the number anymore. ''

'' Then I will the one to end your pathetic life. '' Andy said.

'' Bring it on you Martian asshole! '' John taunted.

Immediately, both of them drew their weapons out, pointing it at the head. They then released their killing intent towards each. Everyone at the room stood in their positions like statues, unable to move due to the killing intent  comming from the two. 

John had a JKL 2021 pistol, a gun that was designed to deliver a damage output greater than that of a magnum revolver. It has enough fire power to kill an elephant from a mile away. With a gun as dangerous as this, it was banned on earth, what John has was a dangerous and illegal weapon.

Andy on the other hand had a UME 75 semi automatic laser pistol, the standard pistol for every Martian soldier. It deals a lot of damage and fires at a horrifying 5 laser shots per second. 

'' Um guys... please stop this. '' Lazarus tried to calm them down. '' Lets discuss it like proper gentlemen. ''

'' I doubt this human scum could even behave like one. '' Andy mocked.

'' I'm a man, not a gentleman. And we men discuss things with our fist. '' John said, '' and I would prefer with a gun instead. ''

'' Guys seriously put your guns down, '' Lazarus tired his very best to calm then both down. '' Ferando tell  your brother to stop. ''

Ferando looked at John, his hand was making a cutting movement over his neck, which means, '' Just kill him already. ''

'' You are not helping ! '' Lazarus shouted at Him. Turning back to the two, '' Put them down before things get noisy. ''

John and Andy looked at Lazarus with a deadpanned expression. '' Right. '' They said, to which they proceed to attached silencers to their guns.

'' Now it won't be noisy. '' Andy said ready to pull the trigger. '' I'll be taking your head with me back to Mars. ''

'' Then what ? '' John smirked, '' Give my head to that fucking moron you called an aristocrat, and get back your Martian citizenship? What a load of bullshit. ''

'' That's it, I'm dumping you corpse in outer space. ''
Andy declared.

'' Try me bitch. '' 

'' Guys. '' Lazarus was trying his best to stop these two blood thirsty Squadmates, from killing each other.

'' WHAT!!! '' They both roared at the same time.

'' Can't you guys settle your fight somewhere else. '' 

The both of them gave a disappointed sigh and put their guns away. 

'' John you should apologize to Andy. '' Lazarus comanded.

'' Ok man... I apologize for calling you an asshole. '' John apologized. He expected a hand shake or something like that, but what came was a straight punch to his face that sent him ten feet away from Andy. Landing on the floor with a thud, John was lying motionless on the floor.

'' Andy! what the hell man?!! '' Lazarus was utterly speechless. '' What's wrong with you? He apologized didn't he? ''

Andy spat, '' I don't trust that Human scum. He was smirking, he was making a fool out of me. ''

' I guess John was right, these Martians are complete assholes. ' 

'' Is he dead? '' Someone asked, seeing that John was not moving at all. '' Looks like it. ''

To everyone's horror, John got up. He had broken and bloodied nose that was bending in the wrong direction.

Pinching his nose, he fixed it with a crack. He then saw blood on his hands. 

John glared at Andy, while releasing an inhuman  killing intent that horrified everyone in the room.

He then wiped the blood on his face and then began to unbutton his shirt, exposing his upper body.

His upper body had a muscular frame, he had a long tribal tattoo from both his chest to his arms. But what got everyone's attention was the number of scars that was engraved on his body. Ranging from stabbing wounds to deep cuts and to a lot of scars caused by bullets.

John clenched his fist, creating a loud popping sound that very audible.

Lazarus felt someone tapping on his shoulder, it was Ferando.

'' That Martian is good as dead now. '' he said in sign language.

It was at this moment, Andy knew he fucked up.

















In the distant future, humans have entered interstellar expansion.

The many life forms they encountered during their journey, were not always friendly.

Wars between the other life forms always took place during those times, be it for territory or resources or for any other reasons. And eventually their planet also became targets to these wars.

The war was devastating and horrible. Many lives were lost and many civilizations had gone extinct.

After decades of war, everyone got fed up with all the senseless killing. They all realised that if they continued this war, no one will be left in this universe. 

A grand peace negotiation took place, and many representatives of the different races came to sign it.

Decades later, a united organization of all the races present in the universe was formed called, ''The Universal Planetary Alliance '' . Its job was to ensure that the universe was safe, peace was maintained and people could live happy lives.

But peace could never last long...

As time went by, crimes also thrived.

Some were so big that local law enforcements could not handle them.

On seeing this, the alliance decided that on every galaxy, an organization was to be established. These organization were established to solve and neutralize the crimes that local law enforcements could not.

Now, a new squad was formed in the ''Milky Way Galaxy Crime Investigation Department. '' or the MWGCID in short.

Well the only problem with the squad is that, it is a ''Mismatched'' squad.

'' We have an ex-drug dealer, A mute assassin, a super soldier, a mad scientist and a cop...Well! what could go wrong. ''

USA | Gotham | 4:15 AM

-Prew!

Swinging through the ghastly air was the one and only Dark Knight of Gotham. His arms extended and holding tightly the grappling hook, he looked at the predicament he was in.

Just seconds earlier he was fighting on top of the famous Gotham Hospital highrise. The extremely tall building filled to the brim with patients was actually a battle ground at the very moment. From what Batman had gathered, a prominent drug dealer found himself hospitalized and a rival cartel came to take him out.

They would have done it too if he wasn't already in the building delivering a badly burnt child to the ER. Such a fateful coincidence that probably used up the last of the drug-dealer's luck in this lifetime.

Batman glared as he looked above him. The group of gang members pointed a gun at him as he stood hanging motionless. He could see them smiling even though it was quite dark. 

"Hahaha! Looks like we've got a bonus this round!" One of them hollered as he elbowed the person next to him. The man holding the rifle.

The other man, clearly annoyed from the elbow jab, growled and said, "It seems we do."

Clark Kent, also known as Superman, was typing away another story of how Superman saved the day once again. This time, it happened to be a superpowered junkie wanting more money for more drugs. She tried to rob a small gas station but something went wrong and she ended up killing the cashier.

Clark frowned at this part. Even though he was famed for having all the power in the world, he still couldn't save everyone.

Long story short, she was apprehended and was chained by a top secret government group. A group that Amanda Waller seemed to be the head of. This gave the Man of Steel a headache. Everytime he has been involved with Waller, it always happens to include an alien invasion, apocalyptic superhuman societies, or something of that sort.

Clark shook his head and looked at the time.

[4:17 AM]

He was currently 4-ish hours away from the deadline for this story. Taking another sip of his coffee, he continued to type away at his laptop. 

'This story isn't gonna finish itself.' He hummed to himself in his usual cheery attitude. Even all-nighters couldn't drench his good mood. Because Clark, not the Man of Steel, nabbed himself a date for later tonight.

USA | Washington| 4:20 AM

"Breaking News!" A woman in professional attire announced to the microphone. "A flying debris is making its way into the Earth's atmosphere!"

She leaned into the microphone to clearly look at the words that were being displayed across the screen. Her eyes were dry nowadays and had trouble seeing from afar. 

"Although Meteorologists have already identified the space rock, they deemed that it was far enough from the Earth to not be affected by its gravity. A sudden change, not one that they could explain, has altered its path and it's heading towards Earth as we speak. They suspect that it will land somewhere near Metropolis or even Gotham. The flight pattern makes it diffic-"

The reporter stopped talking for a couple seconds as she looked at the moving words across the screen. She did a double take just in case she read it right.

"We have more recent news, it seems like the justice league is currently trying to solve the current issue. People of Gotham and Metropolis, don't be alarmed, the justice league have their people on site. Be sure to tune in just in case we have more news. Next up…"

"It's 4 in the morning! Can't shit hit the fan a bit later?" A man glowing in a green hue complained as he looked at the gigantic asteroid. It was super smooth and shiny and didn't look like a space rock at all.

"Tell me about it." A caped crusader with lightning on his chest agreed. 

'I didn't even get to practice my part for the group project.' The man thought as he shook his head. He was just hours from having to give the biggest presentation of his 9th grade year. Instead of practicing it like he was expecting to these last hours, he was protecting the world from a ginormous floating rock.

"This asteroid seems off. I can feel that something is alive in it." A green skinned man said, completely disregarding the other one's comment.

This was naturally Green Lantern, Shazam,  and Martian Manhunter. They were the few league members that were available and the few that had a chance of dealing with the situation.

"This your Martian voodoo magic or-" Green Lantern cut himself off before finishing his sentence after feeling the unapproving gaze of the man who went head to head with Superman. "Now that I look at it, there's no way it's a space-rock. Nice observation Manhunter!"

Ignoring Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter faced Shazam. "I'll attempt to make a connection with it. If it reaches the Thermosphere, do what is required to save Gotham."

Without waiting for the other's word, the Martian closed his eyes and went through with the plan.

"The - uhhh thermosphere is what now?" Shazam asked as he regretted not paying attention in Fifth grade.

To this Green Lantern face-palmed hard. "How old are you again? Even a fifth grader would know this!"

Martian Manhunter's face started perspiration with sweat. A sight that the distracted duo didn't fail to recognize. They looked at each other wondering what to do. Through the countless missions they have been together as JL members, they've never seen the Manhunter sweat from telepathy.

"Is it alive?" Green Lantern asked. Although he was impulsive, he wasn't stupid. The Martian would never spend so much time trying to reach out to a space rock.

The duo looked at each other. This changed everything. This went from an easy situation to one with too many variables to count. What if the space rock was a space-ship of extraterrestrials hoping to invade earth? What if it was an escaping alien empire looking for a new home? What if it was a case of an evil Superman?

No one would know until it happened. Until it was too late to contain the damage.

"Green Lantern to Batman. We may have a bit of a problem." Green Lantern admitted.

Although they were one of the main-members of the JL, they had no authority to deal with these types of situations. Nor did they want to deal with these types of situations. Who'd want to be responsible for an alien invasion?

"What's the situation?" A gruff voice answered. It was clear he was getting shot at from the firecracker sounds in the background.

"Sorry to interrupt your little party and everything but the asteroid coming for Gotham is communicating with Martian Manhunter. He's sweating and he's not answering our questions...so what do we do?" Green lantern asked.

There were a series of shouts that came from the other end. After a couple seconds of hearing colorful words, the guns stopped.

"I'm coming right now." The voice on the other end said before ending the call.

Soaring through the near nonexistent atmosphere of Mars, Spencer continued making his way towards the more peaceful clustered life signals on the planet, during his trip to the source, he began to think of a way he could communicate with them, he didn't want another dragged out fight like he had not too long ago, despite this one would be on a larger scale, he wanted to see if he could create a potential union between him and the Martians to discern if he could convince them to spare a portion of their genetic material.

Spencer knew this wouldn't be an easy task, as the Martians despised the potential alteration of DNA, and he had no current thoughts on how he would manage to convince them to allow him access to it. Deep in thought, Spencer halted in flight and rescanned the memories of the two Martians, looking for any possible leverage he could use to convince them.

After seconds passed, Spencer learned that the two white Martians he killed were nothing of significance compared to the bigger picture, they were more akin to drones aiding the advancement of something much more drastic in its execution.

Looking through the elaborate memories of the two, he quickly gathered valuable information on how the white Martians planned to attack and overpower the green Martians while claiming mars as their own, which would intern place them at the peak of power on this planet. Seeing this as unmistakably vital information, Spencer came up with a strategy of gaining the green Martians cooperation, or more importantly, their trust.

Scratching the back of his head for the umpteenth time on this Planet, Spencer changed into his Martian form. Quickly his hair and clothing faded while his form became more toned and took the appearance of the average martian, ending with his skin turning into a bright orange color, greatly deviating from the green, white, and potentially red tones of the other Martians.

He saw that this would prove to be an issue if he wished to communicate with the other Martians, so he quickly changed the tone of his skin to match that of a green Martian, and continued making his way towards the source of the signals. Flying for a short period, Spencer looked ahead to see what looked to be a curved wall upon the horizon.

Increasing his speed, Spencer arrived closer to the city, he could see that it was surrounded by a wall, Buildings peaking over from the very top and catching Spencer's attention. Accelerating at his maximum velocity for just a moment, Spencer flickered above the city and looked below him, viewing the city had immediately mesmerized him and filled him with excitement, he couldn't explain his excitement in words alone

The city was vast in its complexity but simple in its design. The city held buildings akin to small scale skyscrapers, surrounded by a plethora of structurally impossible technological constructs by human understanding. Buildings rested several feet off the ground, and what looked to be transport vehicles would occasionally pass the area, hovering and moving without the aid of the conventional primitive wheels that are often seen on earth, or anything that would have been possible on earth even in the modern-day.

Hiding behind his look of shock and excitement, a glimmer of astonishment was expressed, he wanted to, no, he needed to take what he could from these people, the sheer complexity of their civilization on the surface alone was enough to pique his curiosity and more, if he could share this knowledge with his kingdom on earth, they would have no issues in their upbringing. Hovering down, Spencer landed at an undesignated section of the civilization and began to look around, still amazed by what was in front of him.

Upon landing, a few gazes settled on his body for a few moments, he casually brushed them off and proceeded to walk around and examine the population.

"I guess white Martians really aren't allowed huh?"-Spencer

He noticed that not a single white Martian was present in the large numbers of greens in this place.

"It's either they're pretty sufficient at disguising themselves, or they are not allowed here at all-Spencer

Spencer held his chin as he walked with his arms folded, Gaining him a few more looks from the other greens, he quickly concluded that drawing attention to himself would not be the best option until he soon manages to meet someone who holds a higher position in the hierarchy. Using his recently acquired skill set, Spencer attempted to scan the mind of the nearest martian to see if he could gather some needed information.

He decided to go deeper and see if he could find an easy way to communicate with them and find out as much about the greens as he could, after a few moments of scanning, Spencer was immediately blocked out, the Martian whose mind he was trying to read turned and looked in his direction with a justifiably agitated expression, he abruptly turned and blended in with the other Martians, leaving to make sure he stirred no unwanted trouble before he gets what he needs.

Moving through the small crowd, Spencer noticed that at every other corner, there were particular Martians wearing clothing much more distinct from the others, looking closer to armor than anything else, while carrying Spear like constructs to be used as possible weapons. Spencer assumed they must be the Martian equivalent of guards or soldiers, he calmly walked up to one of the guards and looked at them.

The guard looked back at him and soon began to speak to Spencer's mind, seeing that he was not leaving.

"(Is there something you wish to say?)"-Guard

The Guard spoke in Spencer's mind, causing him to feel slightly uncomfortable as he was not used to it as of yet. Shaking it off, he replied.

"(I have information that may be of use in the dispute with the white Martians)"-Spencer

The guard only looked at Spencer with increasing suspicion, considering he suddenly appeared with claims of having information that would aid them. Not trusting Spencer's claims one bit, the guard began to question Spencer.

"(What manner of information do you believe could help us?)"-the guard questioned with increased vigilance

 Spencer could notice the slight change in the guard's position, and that the guard's grip on the spear he was holding had strengthened somewhat. Holding his hand up to show that he was of no threat, Spencer continued.

"(They intend to wait till you have all lowered your guard, and invade your ranks using deception)"-Spencer communicated, trying to be as convincing as possible and blocking off his mind.

The guard processed what Spencer conveyed and deemed that it as a high possibility, but wasn't convinced.

"(And how exactly did you acquire such information)"-Guard

Questioning Spencer again, the Guard took his spear and held it against Spencer's chest, making it clear that he would not take any wrong responses at this point. Spencer could only look at the guard with a calm unwavering expression, as he knew that the spear could not harm him in any way.

"(My means of acquiring said information holds no importance to you, all that you need to know is that it will be of use to the council)"-Spencer

The guard began to glare at Spencer, as his refusal to convey where and how he managed to learn of such things had caused him to become irritated, the guard couldn't help but wonder if this information was indeed legitimate, or if Spencer was using deception as well, but he had to convey to the representatives all things that could prove as an advantage in the dispute against the whites.

Eventually deciding to go along with Spencer's information, the guard spoke.

"(You will report this information to the council, any ill-disposed intentions towards the council, will be remunerated with severe repercussions)"-guard  

Making sure to add in that last line, the guard began to lead Spencer with the accompaniment of two other guards to keep a constant watch on his movements. They both made their way towards the council. 

The three guards began to fly and the two behind Spencer held his arms to carry him with them, Seeing the Martians carrying him, Spencer felt somewhat disconcerted and communicated with them.

"(I can fly on my own)"-Spencer

Spencer immediately began to fly along with the three guards, much to their surprise, considering flying was a more advanced technique amongst their people. They all made their way to a tall building at the center of the city surrounded by more guards than seen anywhere else.

Going through something that appeared to be a security check, Spencer was lead inside of the frame and towards a room located on the highest floor of the building. Before entering the room, Spencer could sense eight more signals, upon entering, he was abruptly restrained and placed in front of six Martians sitting at a rectangular table, the room was mostly black, and all focus was placed on the individuals at the table.

The guard Spencer had communicated with had begun to speak.

"This one claims to have information on the rebellion of our white cousins"-Spencer

Spencer scanned the table to see the more traditional green Martians as he expected, mainly male, but a few females as well, but what he didn't expect to see, was that one member of the group carried a more reddish tone than the others.

While he dwelled in his confusion, he remembered something about red Martians for a brief moment before he was interrupted.

"What manner of information do you carry?"-red martian

The red martian at the head of the table questioned.

The guard pushed against Spencer's shoulder, signaling for him to speak. Taking the hint Spencer began to communicate with the red Martian.

"Before we get to that, I would like to set a condition for my information"-Spencer

Hearing him, the red Martian was confused for a fleeting moment and asked.

"Conditions?"-red martian

"Yeah, it's a simple request, I would like to have just a small sample of blood from anyone of you in this room, not a lot, just a drop is fine"-Spencer

Hearing his condition, the Guards immediately tried to pin Spencer to the floor, but he stood unaffected and unmoving whilst waiting for the response of the red Martian. The council was also surprised by Spencer being unaffected by the guard's efforts, Soon enough, the red Martian raised his hand for the guards to stop their fruitless attempts to pin Spencer and spoke.

"Do you understand what you just requested?"-red martian

"Yes, and its a rather simple request"-Spencer

Seeming further agitated by Spencer blatant disrespect to the council, the guards could not stand it any longer and pointed their spears at him, only to be stopped once again by the red martian.

"If your information is deemed helpful to us and you prove your intentions to be of no harm, we could, in turn, give you what you request"-red martian

Thinking about the added conditions, Spencer decided to agree to them to have their trust at a later time.

"Alright, deal"-Spencer

Spencer then began to explain as best he could the information that he had received from the two white Martians, it took only a moment to inform them of how the whites were planning to allow them to build up a sense of security as they slowly took over from the inside and weaken their defenses, finally to end in an all-out assault to wipe them out.

Listening to Spencer, the council seemed suspicious of these claims just as the guard did, but they could not just outlier the possibility of the whites rebelling and attempting to take over. Taking his words into consideration, the council decided to increase the defenses of the city and search for any breaches in their systems.

Just as one of the green Martians were about to speak, Spencer interrupted.

"Before anything else, I would like to know the names of everyone at this council"-Spencer

Displeased for being interrupted, the green martian was going to speak out, only to be interrupted again by the red Martian.

"Sitting to my left is Dal'en, and further on is J'ornell, k'hym, Cay'an, and to my right is J'onn J'onzz"-red martian

Hearing the last name, Spencer's eyes opened in shock at the revelation at who he had just found, but the red martian only pointed at himself and continued.

"And I am the head of this council, ma'alefa'ak"-ma'alefa'ak

Still focusing on the fact that the future Martian manhunter was sitting right in front of him, Spencer remained focused on the task at hand. 

"Its a pleasure, it's only fair that I tell you my name as well"-Spencer

Taking a light bow towards the council, Spencer spoke his new name

"My name is Z'orr Z'akk"

For a while now I have been getting butthurt people talking about the one rape scene that appeared in the novel that went on for roughly four lines and wasn't even in detail. If another person starts to complain about that ****, I'm straight up deleting your comment or review immediately, I'm tired of it and I can't tolerate responding to toddlers on a constant basis, who just can't seem to handle something like that, but is fine when the main character commits mass murder right?.

And to those that are telling other people to not read the novel for themselves because of a stupid reason or some randomness, or any reason in general, and without even taking into account that they are one person and people might like what they don't is disgusting and incompetent.}}

Tang Yue didn't know where Tomcat had hidden the petri dish away. It might even have thrown out all the bacteria, allowing those microbes to fend for themselves in the harsh Martian environment. Under normal conditions, this was a contamination of the environment, but no one cared anymore.
Whether the mutated bacteria could really evolve into Martian amoebas was left up to fate.
"How much longer before Tianzhou arrives?" Tang Yue slumped on the table as he pressed on the keyboard again and again in a listless manner.
"140 hours," Tomcat replied. "In the past three sols, you have asked this question 167 times. That was the 168th time."
"How much longer can the space station last?"
"I've no idea," Tomcat replied. "Perhaps an hour, or maybe 150 hours. You have asked this question equally as many times as the last one."
When Mai Dong was online, Tang Yue and Tomcat never discussed the lifespan of the United Space Station. The man and cat would appear rather calm, playing cards and engaging in nonsense as they usually did, as though they were certain that Tianzhou 37 would arrive in time. However, once the space station entered the no-signal zone, Tang Yue's worry and unease would immediately show. He was like a cat on hot bricks, he was almost hopping. Yet, he had to force himself to remain calm. Tang Yue literally asked about Tianzhou and the space station every few minutes.
Tianzhou 37 was in a race against time, but this was a participant who couldn't be whipped.
Tianzhou needed to reserve enough propellant for its deceleration and descent. Apart from that, Tomcat had used all the propellant to accelerate it. It was already going at its fastest speed, and it couldn't go any faster.
"Strictly speaking, whether the cargo spacecraft can save Miss Mai Dong is a fixed outcome. There aren't other variables in it," Tomcat said. "That's because Tianzhou's time of arrival is fixed. Likewise for the space station's time of crash. If the former is before the latter, we can save Miss Mai Dong. But if the latter is before the former…"
"That would be game over, right?" Tang Yue threw up his hands. "In the past three sols, you have told me the same thing 167 times."
"That's because, in essence, we are the same," Tomcat said.
"A broken record?"
"No." Tomcat shook its head. "We are all trying to find hope in a dire situation… Listen to me, Tang Yue, we need to have the greatest determination and confidence, but also make plans for the worst."
"That the rescue fails?"
Tomcat walked over and pressed Tang Yue down into his chair. "Yes, we need to make plans for the failure of the rescue. Tang Yue, you need to think it through carefully. If the United Space Station can't last until Tianzhou arrives… How are you going to face that reality?"
Tang Yue was taken aback.
If Tianzhou didn't arrive in time, it meant that the United Space Station would crash.
The crashing of the United Space Station meant Mai Dong's death.
Mai Dong's death meant that he would be the last human left in the Universe.
"You have given me a conundrum," Tang Yue said sullenly. "Even if I don't face reality, reality will seek me out. The cruelest part about reality is that you have no way of escaping from it. As the last human in the Universe, what can I do? Stand in the middle of the desert to kowtow in every direction, thanking all my ancestors for their blessings for being the last one standing?"
"I'm being serious here."
"Same here." Tang Yue scratched his head and sighed. "I will not joke about such matters, but do you know what it means by asking me this question? You are asking me what will I do if the world were to be destroyed tomorrow… What can I do?"
He turned the monitor around to show it to Tomcat.
Tomcat looked up and frowned.
"What's this? The historical information you've edited? Or your mission log?"
On the monitor was an open document filled with text.
"It's a story I've written over the past two sols when I had the time."
"Story?" Tomcat was somewhat puzzled. He didn't realize that Tang Yue had such a trait.
"The story is very short, and the writing is bad. Just make do with it. The plot is about a sea disaster. The cruise ship that the male lead and female lead are on board capsizes and sinks to the bottom of the sea. The female lead fails to escape in time and is trapped in a sealed cabin at the bottom of the sea. Although she doesn't die immediately, with the constant depletion of oxygen, she only has a few hours to live." Tang Yue explained. "In the cabin filled with seawater, there is no means to communicate with the outside world apart from using her cell phone to contact the male lead."
"That female lead's cell phone can still be used despite being soaked in seawater?" Tomcat asked.
"It's a China-made waterproof imitation, so it can be used normally even in the Mariana Trench," Tang Yue said. "The girl got through and the male lead consoles her by telling her that he had managed to escape and made contact with the search and rescue team. The team is about to arrive and he gets her to describe her surroundings and exact location to him to enable the rescue team to find her by opening the hull."
"And then?"
"As the ship's sinking was a chaotic situation, the girl doesn't remember where she exactly is. Therefore, the two keep talking to one another, but it's fruitless. With the passage of time, the remaining oxygen gets less and less, while the girl finds it harder to breathe. Yet, the rescue team is unable to find her," Tang Yue continued. "Later, the male lead gets angry, calling her stupid with only boobs and no brains. He says that she's better off dead."
"What happened in the end?" Tomcat asked. "Was the girl successfully rescued?"
"The girl failed to remember where she was to the very end. By the time the rescue team cuts open the hull and finds her, it's already too late," Tang Yue said. "She had been speaking to the male lead with a phone, so the more they conversed, the more oxygen she used. By the time the rescue team arrived, the girl had already suffocated to death."
"That's the ending to your story?" Tomcat asked. "The girl dies?"
"Yes, that's the story's ending. The girl dies. She really dies at the bottom of the sea." Tang Yue nodded.
Finally, the female lead drowned in the cabin filled with water. This outcome was within expectations, but as a story's ending, Tomcat found it too insipid.
"But this is only one of the endings," Tang Yue said. "This story also has another ending."
"What kind?"
"The female lead recalls her location and tells the male lead where she is. The rescue team quickly finds and rescues her. But when she reaches the sea surface, she doesn't find the male lead. When she asks the rescue team about him, they are shocked as well. They inform the girl that they had expected the person they were rescuing to be a man."
Tomcat fell silent for a few seconds.
"Is there a third ending?"
"Nope."
"I think the first ending is more reasonable. If a cruise ship sinks, the people who are trapped underwater have a very low chance of survival because it's just too difficult to save them." Tomcat straightened its body and walked to the airlock. "Most people are unable to last until help arrives."
"Tomcat," Tang Yue shouted at it.
"What's wrong?"
"You got me to make plans for the worst," Tang Yue asked. "Is it because you have already determined that the rescue will be a failure? You have already calculated the outcome, but have chosen to keep it from me?"
Tomcat paused for a moment and shook its head.
"No."
It turned its head. "I've told you before that we lack the detailed orbit data of the United Space Station. We are completely unaware of its present situation; therefore, there's no way to calculate its trajectory. Even I do not know how long the space station can last."


Payload specialist, Tang Yue, who is a mechanical and electrical engineer by training, is left stranded on Mars when he receives news from his AI robot assistant, Tomcat, that Earth has exploded. He believes himself to be the last human in the Universe.

"Okay, okay, leave it to me!" Ning Xi patted her chest confidently. The more she looked at these two, one big and one small, the more excited she became. "Aiya, I can’t take it anymore, I really want to take photos of the two of you! Come here, come here, stand together, a little closer, hold hands…"
With each instruction she gave, father and son posed for her very cooperatively.
With each photo Ning Xi took, she became more and more addicted, and completely turned into a fangirl. Out on the balcony and in the small garden, she took photos non-stop of the father and son pair.
