Maria danced around the Mikaelson mansion room, while organizing some old books on the shelves.
What she didn't know is that she was being watched by a certain original noble.
Elijah watched the witch and found himself smiling, when she dropped a bunch of books and was distraught.
The vampire admired the younger one. He admired her kindness, how she was always willing to help others, the way she dealt with problems, her positivism, etc ...
"Let me help you." he said, appearing in the room and helping the youngest.
"Thank you, Elih." smiled shy "You were there a long time?"
"No." he lied "I arrived right now."
"Seriously? I don't remember hearing you come in." surprised
"I'm a quiet person, Mar." he smiled and put the books on the shelf
Klaus, who had just returned from a meeting, stopped to observe that moment between his brother and his beloved.
"Do I interrupt?" he asked, approaching them with his hands behind his back.
"No," replied Elijah, staring at the bastard
"Nik, you're back." Maria went to him and gave him a kiss
Niklaus put his arm around the girl's waist and pulled her closer to him, still facing his brother.

"Elijah, you're finally here. Hayley was already crazy with worry." Kol mocked
"Shut up, Kol." said the hybrid, addressing Elijah and hugging him.
As much as he liked Hayley, at that moment, the original was not comfortable with the proximity. He just didn't know why.
"What did Marcel say?" questioned Freya, interrupting the moment.
Klaus entered the room in silence and attention focused on him.
"Please start, Elijah. I look forward to hearing what you have discovered." affirmed the original hybrid, giving a false smile.
Elijah started to reveal everything Marcellus had said to him and everyone listened in silence.
"Well ... less a problem to deal with." Hayley said, trying to take the tension out of the air.
"She wasn't a problem." Rebekah got up "She was family."

Rousseau's.
It was the place where Maria had agreed to meet Marel and her psychologist friend.
She was at the bar, drinking a beer, while she waited for the others to arrive.
"What makes such a beautiful girl alone in a bar?" a stranger said, sitting down next to her.
"Okay, that coupling phrase has gone out of style for over 15 years so I suggest that when you approach women in a bar that you use another one." she replied, turning to face the man.
"Wow, so the vampire is nervous."
"Say that one more time and I'll rip your heart out." threatened.
Maria tried to hear the stranger's heart but failed, which meant she was also a vampire.
"Lucien Castel." introduced himself, while extending his hand.
The trybrid looked at the outstretched hand and ended up squeezing it.
"Maria."
"Well, even though you threatened me, it was a pleasure to meet you, Maria."
"I can't say the same, Lucien."
"You can."
He winked and left the bar.
Maria rolled her eyes at this convinced attitude.
After a few minutes, she saw her friend enter the establishment accompanied by a blonde.
"Good eyes see you, Marcel. I could see you left me hanging!" she exclaimed as soon as they approached.
"We wouldn't do that." Marcel laughed and greeted his friend "This is your new psychologist." she presented with a mocking smile.
"Hi. I'm Camille, but you can call me Cami if you want. You are Alexa, right?"
The human extended her hand to the brunette, who was staring at her with a strange face.
"Alexa? What the hell ... my name is Maria Dias, stupid!", Thought the vampire.
Maria looked at Marcel and soon realized the situation.
"What's up? Am I mistaken in the name?" asked Cami, embarrassed.
"Nothing. You were not mistaken. This is me, the incredible Alexa." she shook the blonde's hand and tried to smile at her.
"I've been talking to Cami and since you don't like doing this in public places, your appointment will be at her home." informed the brunette.
"Then maybe we better go walking to your house. The sooner we get this done the better, Carmen."
"Cami."
"As you wish."
The two women left the bar and Marcel shook his head, laughing. He knew that Maria had purposely made a mistake in the psychologist's name and would try to push her to the limit. Camille would have to be very patient.
The drive to O'connel's house was quick. As soon as they entered, the human tried to make her guest comfortable.
"Do you want to drink something?" she questioned as Maria watched the room
"Do you have blood?" cami was surprised "Oh wait, you're human, I almost forgot. Can you bring me a beer, please."
While Cami went to the kitchen to get the beer, Maria sat down in one of the armchairs in the room.
"Here you go." she-handed her the drink.
The sound of the blonde's cell phone was heard and she excused herself, immediately picking up the device to see who she was.
Klaus.
"I better take this call."
"As you wish." said the trybrid without giving any importance.
"Yes? ... I can't ... I'm busy right now, Klaus."
Maria began to pay attention to the conversation as soon as she heard the name of the hybrid being pronounced.
"Does the damn psychologist know Klaus? That Klaus? I can't believe Marcel put me ahead of him with someone who knows the Mikaelson's!", thought Maria.
"Ok ... As soon as I finish this, I'm going to the mansion ... See you soon."
Camille ended the call and turned to her "patient".
"You have a beautiful house." commented the supernatural
"Thanks." she sat face to face with Maria.
"Was it your boyfriend?" the older woman asked, innocently, taking a sip of her drink.
"What? No." camille was embarrassed, again "He's not my boyfriend. It's complicated. He has become a better person, but he has already made very horrible things ..."
"But you still like him." observed the wolf "You can't blame him for doing bad things, we've all done things we are not proud of, right?"
The psychologist looked at the brunette, trying to understand the meaning of that.
"What horrible things have you done?" she asked, curious and reaching for her notebook.
"Let me see, where do I start?" she pretended to think "Oh yes, there was that time ..."

Malta, 1946
She had killed more than 100 people from that small village on the island of Malta.
He didn't feel bad about it, it was the good part of having humanity turned off.
She didn't want to know that she ended the lives of those innocent people, she only cared about who her next victims were.

"You used to be a ripper." concluded the blonde.
"Yes and for some good years."
Cami felt that they were going in a good way. Strangely, the vampire was opening up and talking about herself to the human.
"Why did you do it?"
"I'm not sure ... I think for survival. It was my way of venting anger for things that had happened."
"What things?"
"That is not the topic of our consultation today, doctor." she took a sip of her drink.
Camille sighed. Good way but not so good.
"You became a monster when you shut down humanity." observed
"Disconnecting humanity does not make you a monster, unless you are already one."
"How did you get it back?"
"I think the right question is not HOW I got it back but WHO helped me get it back."

Mystic Falls, 1967
Mystic Falls.
Maria had already heard a lot about that city. Unfortunately it would be just another place where she made victims.
"Keep calm. Do not scream." she said while compelling a 20 year old.
The vampire was about to dig her fangs into the boy's neck when she heard someone scream for her.
"Stop! Don't do that!"
She took her victim by the neck and turned to the stranger.
"I don't know who you think you are to be interrupting dinner, but if I were you, I would disappear before you became dessert." she warned
"You don't need to do that." he approached slowly "I can see that you are a ripper and kill for fun. I used to be like you. You have another option, believe me."
Maria rolled her eyes and looked at the human again, turning her back on the stranger who was trying to teach her a moral lesson.
"You're killing an innocent. This boy has a family, people who like him waiting for him at home. He deserves to die in a dignified way, not at the hands of a monster."
The hybrids closed their eyes and took a deep breath, opening them and facing the boy who was trembling with fear.
Looking at him, she felt ... sorry.
She felt...
If she were just a vampire, her humanity wouldn't come to light so easily, but being a wolf and a witch, there were parts of her that still had humanity that she couldn't deny.
"Forget what happened here and go home." she said looking into the boy's eyes, who quickly did what the witch told her.
She came face to face with the anonymous vampire and faced him.
"You made me feel sorry for him." she paused "For years, people I know tried to make me feel something and they didn't succeed and you, coming out of nowhere, arrive and make me feel bad for killing a boy, simply with a lame speech." after a few seconds of silence, she laughed "Who are you?"
"Stefan Salvatore."
"It was a complete stranger that made you have feelings again." Maria nodded "Did you have a relationship with him?"
"Yes, for two years." she confirmed "I fell in love with him, he made me feel something I hadn't felt in years and for a while I thought there was hope for me. I came to think that I was just confusing gratitude with passion but no. It was love."
"Why did you two break up?"
"It was no longer the same thing and we knew it. The feelings were spent over time and it was no longer the same as in the beginning." she smiled "We ended up being quite friends and still visit him now and then."
"Did you ever turn humanity off again after you were done?"
"No. But I can't tell you that I didn't kill anyone again because my killing list was still long."
She set the empty bottle down and stood up.
"I really enjoyed the consultation, Dr. O'connel, but I think it already worked."
"We still have a few more minutes ..."
"Listen, I have more thingd to do and you have an appointment with your boyfriend who is not a boyfriend but who is complicated".
She opened the apartment door and said before leaving.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Camila."
"Camille." she corrected her, even though she would no longer get an answer.
Camille entered the Mikaelson mansion and found Hayley playing with Hope in the living room. She greeted the hybrid and her daughter, then asked:
"Do you know where Klaus is?"
"He's up there in the office if I'm not mistaken."
The blonde thanked her with a simple smile and went to meet the hybrid.
"Klaus? Klaus!" she called
"I'm here, Camille." he said, appearing with a glass in his hand.
"What do you need?"
"Sit over there at the typewriter, please."
"I thought we were over that of documenting your story." she commented, obeying the original's request.
"Me too." he agreed.
The vampire began to tell the whole story about Maria from the last century until that day.
Cami felt a little uncomfortable having to write about Klaus' old love, but she didn't let it show.
"I'm sure she was very pretty."
"She was." he said "There is an old photo of her in the first drawer of the desk."
The blonde opened the drawer and blurred the photo, her eyes widening when she saw it.
"Was this her?" asked in amazement.
"Yes, why?"
"I was with her."
"What?"
He quickly approached the human and stayed behind her.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. It was with her that I was having the psychology consultation."
They were interrupted by Elijah's entry into that division.
"I apologize for interrupting, I didn't know you were here, Cami." - stared at his brother "What face is that, Niklaus?"
"Maria is alive." - he paused - "Cami was with her."
"That's not possible." he looked at the psychologist. "Be more clear, please, Camille."
"Marcel said that a friend of his needed a psychology consultation and asked me to help him. She was this woman. Only Marcel told me that she was called Alexa. I was with her right now, before I came here."
"That means Marcellus lied to me." Elijah said, with a not good face.
He tightened his suit and left at vampire speed. He had some fears to deal with Marcellus.
"Marcel !! Marcel !!"
He quickly entered the place where the dark vampire was.
"You lied to me and said that Maria was dead. I warned you, Marc ..."
The original nobleman was unable to finish his sentence because someone appeared behind him and broke his neck.
"Now I understand why you hung up that call in a hurry."

"I didn't go back for you and that was my worst mistake in 1000 years."


Maria used to be an innocent and kind girl but after being abandoned by those she loved most, she was forced to change for her own good.
A century later, she was definitely back in the city that saw her grow but no one could have predicted the things that would come with her return.

Two Myth Realm martial artists from the mighty northern clan had died in Sky Demon Secret Cave. To Happy, this was a good thing, but it also put him on high alert. 
He obtained a lot of things from Jinjiu and Yinshi. Among them, his greatest reward was that his Universe's Lightning Destruction Style had increased to the eighth realm!
He had moved from Thunder to Lightning Flash. 
The speed of each slash could already compare to One Emperor's first slash, and it was the most terrifying aspect of it all. 
If there was anyone who wanted to evaluate who had the fastest speed with a sword in the game, Happy did not believe that there would be anyone s faster than him!
Universe's Lightning Destruction Style was the fastest sword technique among all Moksha Realm sword techniques that were available to him, and it had not even reached its peak yet. Happy had three more realms to go. 
Aside from fighting experience, Happy had also managed to increase his Universe's Lightning Destruction Style realm because of the two bottles containing the essence and blood of peerless martial artists given to him by two Myth Realm martial artists. 
Wave Breaker Saber and Scorching Sun Blade. 
The two high-grade divine weapons had the effect of damaging opponents' weapons. 
If it were not because Happy's Seventh Sword had already reached the fourth echelon, it would not have been able to last for such a long time. 
Happy did not want to use either of the two weapons, but he knew that if someone went up against someone who had Wave Breaker Saber opr Scorching Sun Blade, they first would have to think about whether they had the money to repair their own divine weapon. There were also a few decent martial art techniques. One of them was Nine Heavens Fire Repelling Qi Cultivation Technique, while another a decent lightness skill that could only be learned by those at Moksha Realm. 
'These guys... they sure had a lot of valuable things.'
Happy sincerely felt that it was completely worth it for him to have used the Fire Qilin Blood earlier. 
Not only did he obtain two manuals of the martial art used by two peerless martial artists to protect their clan and two divine weapons that would produce two top-class elites in Mu Clan, he also obtained Fire Qilin Blood and Fire Qilin Scales, which were unexpected surprises. 
Besides that, Happy also obtained another surprise. 
It was in regards to the Nation Protecting Divine Sword, which had never been completed by the Murong Clan. Since he had obtained two bottles of essence and blood of two forgemasters, he could move the sword to a higher level and perfect it. Nation Protecting Sword would move from a grade one masterpiece to a high-grade divine weapon. 
Of course, if it had just been upgraded from a grade one masterpiece to a normal high-grade divine weapon, Happy would not be affected. 
The deal was that there was not just one fourth-echelon Nation Protecting Divine Sword in Mu Clan's storage. They were all refined by Heartless Iron and placed in storage because Mu Clan's resources sitting in their storage had provided him with the materials to refine those swords. 
Two bottles of forgemasters' essence and blood could upgrade two fourth-echelon Nation Protecting Divine Swords to high-grade divine weapons, so there was no way that Happy would not be excited. 
The deaths of two Myth Realm martial artists excited Happy quite a lot. 
But after going through his loot, he felt a faint wave of exhaustion. 
He had engaged Myth Realm martial artists in a high-intensity battle for a few hours. During that time, he did not dare to relax, so once it was over, in all honesty, he could only be described with one word: Tired. 
Once Happy organized the loot he obtained from the two Myth Realm martial artists, he had to log off to rest for a while. 
Even though the benefits he gained from Sky Demon Secret Cave far exceeded what he planned to gain, he still wanted to meet Fire Qilin, who dwelled in the depths of the cave and see whether he had the chance to level up Universe's Lightning Destruction Style even further. 
It was basically impossible for him to kill Fire Qilin. The two Myth Realm martial artists had not been able to do so even after they spent a long time trying, so Happy had no confidence to kill it as well. He only wanted to use Fire Qilin to test his sword technique. That was all.

Once Happy left the game, he habitually went to the balcony to sense the warmth from the sun on his skin, but against his expectations, when he reached the balcony, he heard the sound of a key being inserted into the keyhole, and he could not help but frown. 
He remembered that it was not the weekend, so Xu Xin should still be in class. Why would she suddenly come so early?
Happy turned around, but the sound of the key turning in the lock did not reach his ears. 
Instead, he heard a familiar voice outside. 
"Hey, buddy, you're an unfamiliar face. You don't seem to be a resident here." 
It was Knife. 
Happy was stunned when he heard him. 
'A stranger?'
It seemed like Knife had been alerted of a stranger moving upstairs, and he quickly walked out from the apartment across from Happy's to interrupt that person's act of opening the door. 
Happy immediately felt a dark emotion settle in his heart. 
He returned to the living room and walked to the door to cast a glance through the peephole. Then, he scowled and opened the door. 
The young stranger outside was already subjugated by Knife and pushed against the stairs. He begged for mercy. "Ack! Don't! My arm's about to break—"
When he saw the door to Happy's apartment open, cold sweat immediately flowed down his face, and he stopped talking once his face and lips turned pale. 
"Tell me where your key came from!"
When Knife saw that it was Happy who opened the door, his eyes returned to the young stranger once more, and he exerted more force on his leg. The young stranger could hear the sounds of his joints cracking. 
"ACK! Bro! Brother, please spare me!"
The first thing Happy did was to stare at the key stuck in the keyhole. He pulled it out and cast it a glance before he tried to open the door. His expression immediately turned incredibly unpleasant. 
The key might not have been the original copy, but it was clearly made based off of the original copy!
He said nothing and just brought out his phone in front of the young stranger, who was rapidly turning paler, and made a few calls. There were only three people who had the key to the base. One of they keys was in his hands, the other was in Xu Xin's, and the last in Lonely Three Wolves' hands. 
Happy was originally in a good mood, but he did not expect that he would run into this sort of matter. If it were not because of Knife, he might have been in danger. 
As for whether the event was to force him to buy peace or something else, it was difficult to say. 
But no matter who it was, there was no one who could maintain a good mood when they ran into this sort of matter. 
Happy called two people, and the answer he obtained was that they still had their keys!
He asked them whether they had ever handed their keys to someone else before, even if it was only for a short period of time, and both parties said no. 
Happy's heart immediately sank. 
If the young stranger had managed to get the key without batting an eyelid, it meant that whoever sent him made sure that he was after Happy!
"I'll give you one more chance. Tell me where your key came from!"
"I-I made it— Bro, it's my fault, okay! Let go of me! It hurts! Just send me to the police station. I won't dare to do this again..."
"When did you make it?"
"A few nights ago. I came over here to make it."
It would have been better if he did not provide this explanation, because once he did, Knife instantly laughed coldly. "Playing tricks with me, are you? This place is under surveillance twenty-four seven. Even if you're a special agent, it would have been impossible for you to get the key under our eyes. 
"Looks like you don't intend to say anything… Alright! Happy, let me handle this person. If I don't manage to make him talk in ten minutes and figure out the mastermind, my name won't be Knife."
Once he finished speaking, he knocked the young stranger unconscious and brought him into the apartment across from Happy's. 
Thud, thud!
Thunder walked down from the floor above with a stern face. When he saw how worried Happy looked, he said, "I looked through the area outside just now. There's no one suspicious. Let Knife handle this. He knows where to draw the line."


When he returned to the World of Martial Arts, the game was filled with blood and battles! Chen Kaixin had chased after the footsteps of the one emperor, two empresses, three princes, seven dukes, and thirteen aces for three years, but during the eve of the Sword Among Us tournament in Mount Hua, he was ambushed by evil bastards, and was killed so much that his level dropped to that of a newbie. He completely lost the chance to join the ranks of the powerful players in the game! In great disappointment, Kaixin quit the game and got drunk so that he could forget his sadness, but during that stormy night, Chen Kaixin found that he had actually dreamed for a total of three years, because when he woke up again, he woke up to three years ago, when he was still a student. 

In a dark forest, is a child running through the brush of leaves and low hanging branches. As they run through puddles of water and mud, they keep looking back. They're being chased by something big and fast.
The child stumbles onto a old wooden cabin in the middle of the forest. The abandoned cabin seems like a perfect hiding spot from whatever is chasing after them. 
Quickly the child heads into the cabin after giving the door a good push to open. Afterwards the child closes the door and looks around the room for something to place against the door as a barrier. They notice an old dinning room table by the corner of the room, and decide to use that.
With a couple drags and afterwards two good pushes, the child places the table right against the door.  They soon run off into the kitchen and grab an old rusty knife hanging above the counter.
With the blade in their hands, they guard their eyes at the barricaded door, armed and ready to face the monster lurking outside. 

"What the hell did you do to Frank", an officer screams at the stranger.  The stranger remains silent while his hands are raised in the air. "Can someone please check on Frank for Christ's sake", the officer announces in a panicked voice.
"Check for what! He's clearly not breathing. He's just a corpse or whatever you want to call that thing laying on the ground", another officer yells out as a response.
You can feel the uneasiness in the room as everyone around keeps looking at each other for some sort of answer. Nobody seems to have the nerve or better yet courage to at least deal with the corpse on the floor, because of the fear stirring in their hearts.
Then again, it was really the fear of catching whatever Frank had and meeting their maker too.
Mike soon takes charge of the situation and tells everyone, "lower your guns". 
"What! Are you insane", Tim exclaims to Mike as he tightens his grip on his gun. "Clearly this situation isn't one any person here has ever dealt with, so maybe this whole Mexican standoff isn't making the whole thing any better. Plus do you really want to risk being the next victim of a man with a literal death touch on him", Mike says to Tim. 
Afterwards Mike places his hand on Tim's gun pointed at the stranger.  He lowers the weapon down, looking at Mike and telling him, "easy now". Everyone one else starts to put their guns down and backs off real slow.
"Okay now, let's all take a deep breath and figure this whole mess out one step at a time", Mike tells everyone. 
The stranger clears his throat, and announces to everyone, "yes let's figure this shit out".
He starts to tidy himself up by pulling his shirt from it's bottom so that it sits well on his body.
"I'm not going to waste anyone's time, so let me cut straight to the chase.
You may call me by whatever title you'd feel fits me. Death, Stranger, Devil, Black Abyss, Collector or Harvester.  But really all you should know is, I'm here to search through all the apples in this town's basket and pick out the bad ones from the bunch", the stranger says to crowd of officers.
"Wait. Bad apples, what do you mean", one the officers asks the stranger. The stranger sighs heavily and exclaims, "in your little town here lives the bad hiding amongst the good. The bad hasn't really brought up any good for your little town obviously. So it's my job to take care of the bad".
The stranger looks at the corpse lying on the ground. "Your friend here had a little more to his character, and a very disturbing past.
Your boy here had a record of sexual cannibalism in the previous town he previously lived in
Soon after Frank here slept with a girl he just met, he'd soon after indulge on her very flesh as an after snack. And of course to keep a record of all his meals, he'd get a tattoo referring to his latest meal or victim", the stranger says all of this.
Everyone in the room stands there shocked and completely disgusted. 
"Of course none of you knew about your locals little eating habits, hence your faces", the stranger says. 
"And how do you happen to know such information. How do we know you're not making this shit up, or better yet were likely involved in this sickening act", Tim asks the stranger.
"Let's just say I have a wide knowledge for these sort of things.  Now for the meat of the matter, no pun intended. 
My arrival here has clearly upset the natural order of things around here.  But it's only going to get a whole lot worse, because I'm yet to deal with the other eleven of the twelve bad apples in this town.
They will soon meet judgment for their hidden original sins", the stranger exclaims.
"Sins", Mike exclaims as a question. "Yes Officer James. Your sins have led you to your demise", the stranger replies. "So who are these people", Mike asks the stranger.
The stranger laughs and says to him, "now where's the fun in that. You'll know soon enough after they meet their fates".
"It could be anyone in this room. Possibly everyone in this entire town. But I'm only here for the twelve",  the stranger announces to the room.
"This is bullshit", Tim yells as he pulls out his gun and points it back to the stranger. Before Mike can do anything about it, Tim pulls the trigger.
The sound of the gun echoes in the room, and everyone ducks down.  When the smoke clears, the stranger is still standing without any evidence of a gun shot wound.
He looks Tim straight in the eye and exclaims, "that's definitely going to cost you later on".
In a blink of an eye, the stranger disappears with the wind, leaving everyone there lost and completely perplexed.
Later that night the entire town holds a meeting in the Town hall.
"He was as white as a canvas!? I find that hard to believe"; one of the locals exclaims. "I seen it with my own two eyes. We all seen it", Tim responds.
Another local gets up and says, "you know what this means. We have a devil in our town and we need to cast him out". 
"We don't even know where he is, so how can we cast him out"; Tim exclaims.  Mike rubs his head and breathes out heavily.
His daughter walks up to him, and tugs his hand. "Is the bad guy coming to punish us for our sins. Is he here to take you away from us",  she asks Mike. 
"No my sweetie. Daddy is here to stay", he tells her.  Mike looks at the Pastor and asks him, "you wouldn't happen to have any clue about what exactly this is all about".
"Uhm. This is really beyond my knowledge", the Pastor exclaims. "Well then we're screwed", another local exclaims. "But how can one person know our hidden sins. And do we really have such things in this quiet town", a lady asks the room.
"Frank apparently had a hidden sin. A really disgusting one I might add.  Point being, people are beyond what meets the eye in this town.  We all knew Frank was one for starting up fights but not for cannibalism"; Tim exclaims.
The room falls to whispers, as everyone starts to question the whole situation.
"We could run away for safety. I mean he can't pick us out if we're not here", the town butcher suggests. "But wouldn't that just mean we have something to hide if we're running away", Tim exclaims.
"Tim is right. Running away won't solve anything. This stranger definitely isn't human, so who's to say he wouldn't find us wherever we run off to. 
The best play is to stick together, and protect each other. And the only way that's going to happen is by us being honest with each other and telling everyone of any hidden sins we might have lurking in the dark", Mike tells the entire room.
The room falls silent.
One of the old locals says, "why must we risk our own lives for the guilty. If death is to follow for their sins, let it follow".
Everyone in the room seems to agree with the lady by their loud chattering.
"Everyone is guilty of something. If this man is out here picking out people by their sins, we're all guilty of something. But we should always remember that there's no rating or scale of what makes a sin bigger or worse than another", Mike says to everyone.
"A sin is a sin right Pastor", Mike says while looking at the Pastor.  The Pastor nods yes in response.
"And how exactly are you going to protect us from this stranger. It seems damn well impossible", the butcher exclaims.  You leave that to me and the Sherrif's department to handle that okay",  Mike tells the man.
"You seem to be the most worried one here Ernest. You got something to hide, like charging extra on people's beef", Tim asks the butcher. "You're just speculating things that aren't there. I'm just looking out for my family as a father should"; Ernest says.
"Is that so", a voice from the back exclaims. 
Everyone's attention turns to the voice, and the stranger walks out of the shadows to greet them all.
"And who are you", Ernest asks the stranger in an annoyed voice.  The policemen in the room soon recognise the man, and quickly go to grab their guns.
The stranger chuckles and looks at the butcher saying, "I'm just the young girl whose heart you took a long time ago. Time to return the favour old man".
As soon as he says that, the stranger pulls a heart from behind him. The heart beats in his hand with fresh blood still dripping from it.  Everyone in the room falls silent in shock, but Ernest's eyes grow wide as he grabs his chest where his heart is supposed to be.
That's his heart in the stranger's hand.
Ernest falls to ground, failing to breathe.  His wife quickly rushes over to his side, while Ernest fights for his life.  His two sons stand back, watching their father die in front of their eyes. Everyone else in the room just stands and watches this whole thing happen.
After a few huffs and puffs,  Ernest gives his last breath and slowly rests his head on the ground, and shuts his eyes.
The stranger with the heart still is his hand, drops it to the ground and smiles afterwards.

A quiet peaceful town is soon thrown into disarray at the arrival of a mysterious figure, bringing a promise of 12 people dying at the cost of their sins.

When abilities were first introduced to the human race, people quickly learnt that some were far more powerful than others. 
The abilities themselves were also different from person to person. They were dependent on how many mutant cells could be activated within the body. 
With this came the introduction of the power level system. There were a total of 8 different power levels. 
These levels indicated how many mutant cells were in the body but not how strong the ability was. They could then be further divided into subcategories. 1.1 1.2 ... all the way to 1.9.
Although these levels were just a system designed by the military to put everyone in a specified category. 
There were two ways for people to obtain abilities. When the war started with the Dalki race, people started to share their powers with the outside world. They wrote down how they accomplished this power and put the information down in things called ability books.
After the first war had ended, the books were no longer distributed for free and started to go on sale to the public. The military decided to keep some of the more powerful abilities to themselves.
Generally, ability books from level 1 to 5 were sold to the public. In contrast, giant corporations and the military kept the higher-level ones to themselves.
The second way to obtain an ability was if you were an Original. Originals were the first people who had initially discovered the powers for themselves and decided to pass it down within their family.
Not writing it down and teaching it from person to person.
Not all ability users chose to share their abilities to the outside world and decided to keep it within their bloodline. Originals usually had the strongest of abilities that couldn't be measure using the power system. 
Because of these two reasons, Quinn had always been a level 1. 
He had no family members to support him. Leaving him no chance to buy an ability book and his family had no abilities themselves, so he wasn't an Original.
When Quinn had obtained the book, his first guess was that it was some time of an ability book. Now, after all these years, it seemed like he had obtained an ability. But he had never heard of an ability book like this before, and he didn't have a clue what power level it had mutated his cells to. 
Usually, on the front, there would be a technique that helped you master your ability up to a certain power level. But with the book was now gone.
Quinn lifted up his hand to look at the watch, which indicated his current power level was one. When he looked around, he noticed that everyone else's watches currently showed the same number.
Griff was standing in front of all the students and called names in groups of five.
These students would then be transported somewhere to take the test. Quinn was hopeful at first thinking that he might have been able to change his ability level for once. Still, his mind was quickly changed after receiving a notification.

He didn't even know how good 10 strength, 10 agility, and 10 stamina points were. There was nothing he could compare it to. 
But if his eyesight was anything to go by, then it would mean it was at least the top condition of a normal human being. Right now though, Quinn felt incredibly weak and sluggish.
His body felt extremely hot, and he was sweating buckets. Quinn thought it was a good thing he drank a load of water beforehand. Otherwise, he would have been extremely dehydrated.
"Hey, are you okay?", a stranger standing next to Quinn said.
The stranger had slick blonde hair and hazel green eyes with a chiselled face and sharp jawline. He also stood 6 foot 2 inches tall while Quinn was 5, 11. This type of person Quinn would usually avoid at his last shool as everyone would always pay attention to them, and boy did Quinn hate attention.
"If you want, I can call someone for help," the stranger said.
"It's okay, I'm just a little bit nervous about the testing," Quinn said as he tried to ignore his tired body and stand up straight.
The stranger looked Quinn up and down. Quinn was quite skinny for his age. He didn't have a lot of muscle on him, and right now, he looked incredibly weak. He thought Quinn looked like the type of boy who would have gotten bullied at school, being in a new place and not knowing anyone power levels, of course, he would be nervous.
If he was to get a level one rating again, the same thing would most likely happen here.
"Well, don't be. I'm quite strong you know. If anyone messes with you, you can come and ask me for Help," the stranger said, smiling.
Quinn didn't usually get on with the active, positive type of person, but found it hard to dislike the boy. 
When Quinn thought back about his time at school, he realized he actually didn't get on with anyone.
"The names Vorden," Vorden said as he placed his hand out.
Quinn looked at Vorden's hand. It was actually the first time in his life someone had treated him this way, but he thought that would quickly change. People always did once they found out his ability level. But for once, he just wanted to forget about all that.
"My name's Quinn," Quinn said as he shook Vorden's hand.

Once the system messages appeared, Quinn looked at them strangely. He then noticed that Vordan still hadn't let go of his hand. Then the system repeated the message once again.

Quinn then immediately let go of Vorden's hand. The system was clearly telling him that Vordan was trying to use his ability on him. Vorden himself even had a puzzled look on his face as he stood there still.
"You," Vorden said. "What is your ability?"
"I…." Quinn paused, thinking for while whether he should answer or not. In the end, he wanted to see Vorden's real reaction. "I don't have an ability."
Vorden no longer had a puzzled look on his face, as if the answer had satisfied his curiosity, but before he could say anything, Griff made an announcement.
"Will the students Quinn Talen, Vorden Blade, Peter Chuck, Layla Munrow, and Erin Heley please come to the front to take your test."

The human Race is at war with the Vicious Dalki and when they needed help more than ever, THEY started to come forward. 

Humans who had hidden in the shadows for hundreds of years, people with abilities. 

Some chose to share their knowledge to the rest of the world in hopes of winning the war, while others kept their abilities to themselves.

Quinn had lost everything to the war, his home, his family and the only thing he had inherited was a crummy old book that he couldn’t even open. 

But when the book had finally opened, Quinn was granted a system and his whole life was turned around. 

He completed quest after quest and became more powerful, until one day the system gave him a quest he wasn’t sure he could complete. 

"It is time to feed!"
