We both needed someone to talk to. I found his profile on Quick Adds and added him. He instantly added me back. 'There is always a reason for things to happen.' What was the reason for me to add him?

"You can try." Hannah said with a shrug. Based on her reaction, Gu Jun believed that she had attempted it many times herself but she kept getting strange results.
"Okay, I will." Both of them got down from the car. While the engine was still running, Gu Jun grabbed a stone from the roadside and leaned it against the gas pedal. The Chevrolet drove forward on its own, and made its way out of Arkham into the blurry future. After the car drove for about 20 metres, suddenly it disappeared into thin air. Gu Jun had no idea what happened to the car. He did not blink but the car just dissolved before his eyes. "What was that? A dimensional rift?"
"I have no clue." Hannah said coldly. "Just keep on waiting. Something even more interesting will happen." Thus Gu Jun stood there silently, paying attention to his surroundings. His focus was on the red-haired woman who looked like the witch. The night was cold. Slowly the buildings, road, trees, everything around them started to ripple. 
"It's almost time." Hannah uttered softly. Less than half a minute after that, suddenly, a buzzing sound entered Gu Jun's ears. It sounded like many people chatting in the background. Then he found himself seated and not standing. He was sitting at a dining table and Hannah was sitting across from him. There were other diners around them. This was a high class restaurant. The well-dressed waiters served the customers. Looking through the restaurant's floor length window, Gu Jun could see the car park and the white Chevrolet was one of the vehicles parked there. 
"Don't be shy, dig in." Hannah was cutting through a rare steak. She picked a small chunk and sent it into her mouth, "We're out for dinner, aren't we?" Gu Jun then realized he was holding the utensils in his arms and there was a plate of steak before him as well. His heart sunk. He didn't feel any anomaly during the transformation. The shift occurred practically in a snap of a finger. There was no chance for him to stop it.
"What happened?" Gu Jun asked dumbly. 'This does not feel like an illusion or a dream… but this kind of spatial shift… Was it the doing of the witch? But she did not even require spells, rituals or preparation? She's that powerful? Or it's a trick by Nyarlathotep?' 
"I was hoping you could tell me." Hannah chuckled. "That day, after you went insane, I went to study the King in Yellow. After I realized I've not left Arkham in my life, I tried to drive out of it immediately. But after 100 miles of driving, suddenly I found myself at the office. My colleagues told me I have been working overtime." She shrugged. "Am I going crazy as well? I gave it a second, third, endless tries… But it always ends up the same. In fact, I've attempted other things than just leaving Arkham. Take a look at this." 
Hannah suddenly stood up. Before Gu Jun's confused gaze, she raised her steak knife and plunged it into the neck of the passing waiter. Instantly blood splattered. The waiter screamed and the tray clattered noisily to the ground. The nearby diners shouted from shock. 
'What the hell…' This stunned Gu Jun as well. His doctor's instinct kicked in, "Call the ambulance now! Apprehend her! Is there a first-aid kit here? I'm a doctor!" He rushed towards the wounded waiter. Anger rose within him. He wanted to detain Hannah but also apply first aid on the waiter. The latter took precedence. 
"Don't worry." Hannah chuckled self-deprecatingly. "When I first discovered this, the first thing I did was to go and stab my boss several times. It was honestly quite stress-relieving." Gu Jun glared at her when suddenly something flickered…
He was no longer kneeling beside the wounded waiter, instead he was back at the table and Hannah was seated before him. The waiter walked past with the tray and everything was back to normal. Temporal manipulation?
"You see?" Hannah sent another cut steak into her mouth. "Jim, why do you think you've gone insane? You've tried many formulas but you've failed. You should give this a try, or how about you go and land a big pecker on that beauty over there?" She nudged her head at a blond beauty not far away. "That one's not bad." Naturally Gu Jun did not heed her advice. He studied the peaceful restaurant. The clock on the wall kept moving, the steak on Hannah's plate dwindled in size. This was different from what he experienced at Pnakotus. Back then, it was more like a rewind. But now, it was like they were on a fixed timeline, even if they strayed from it, they'd be eventually forced back into the predestined timeline. Even if they left Arkham, committed murder, refused to move, eventually… everything would be as it should be. 
Suddenly, he realized he was chewing on a piece of steak. He had no idea when he cut it and fed it into his mouth. 
"Do you know what the King in Yellow really is?" Hannah suddenly asked. "I mean, the King in Yellow mentioned inside the King in Yellow." Gu Jun was silent. Actually it was stated quite clearly inside the book. The King in Yellow was a banned play in book-form, and this play was the thread that strung all the chapters together. Regarding the actual content of the play's script, the book only gave a glimpse of it through Cassilda's Song and the few conversation snippets between the in-play characters at the start of The Mask:
Camilla: You, sir, should unmask.
Stranger: Indeed?
Cassilda: Indeed, it's time. We all have laid aside disguise but you.
Stranger: I wear no mask.
Camilla: (Terrified, aside to Cassilda) No mask? No mask!
"Jim, you've studied this short paragraph many times but actually I've reached my own understanding of it as well." Hannah offered as she chewed the steak. "What if the stranger is really not wearing a mask? He has long since removed the mask but since the script says that he has not, what will happen then?" 
Gu Jun's heart chilled. If a character inside a play realized they were inside a play, and they wished to do something against the pre-written script, what would happen to the character? Would they accomplish what they set out to do? Or would everything proceed as written…
According to the script, Jim and Hannah went out for dinner, they did not exit Arkham and commit any murder. Or would the script have written that they have tried these things but they failed? 
"You mean…" Gu Jun understood what Hannah meant, "We are characters inside the King in Yellow?"
'Jim Mazurewicz went insane because he read from the King in Yellow and assumed he was the main character from the chapter, Plague Doctor.' This story was a chapter from the King in Yellow. Gu Jun had read that King in Yellow at Arkham Sanitorium, but that might be the King in Yellow inside the real King in Yellow. If they were inside a script, Gu Jun could not read the actual King in Yellow that had Jim's tales written inside it. Just like the characters inside The Repairer of Reputations, The Mask and The Yellow Sign could not access the King in Yellow that detailed their lives. 
So who was reading the actual King in Yellow? 


The once-bustling and noisy streets were now filled with an eerie blanket of silence.
Hoarse and frenzied whispers lingered high above the heavens, and an indescribable ancient giant lurked in the shadows of the bottomless ocean.
A mysterious plague had outbroken, and natural disasters wrought the Earth. Global pandemic and catastrophes had the panicked masses seeking illusory shelters from the devastation, day and night.
A bloody shower poured over the land as the streaks of lightning tore across the sky, illuminating the ill-intentioned gathering of ravens above. Nevermore, nevermore, quoth the ravens.
"We can see that this malformed creature has twelve pairs of ribs like humans, but also has a "transverse bone" that humans do not possess..."
In the medical school, Gu Jun continued bringing down his scalpel, illustrating the abnormal thoracic structure of the malformed cadaver on the dissection table to the surrounding students.
Ominous and treacherous times had descended! Truth and logic had crumbled, order warped into a frenzy. Humanity can only forge ahead through the power of intelligence and wisdom.

'Ding'

He finally awake from his slumber after he heard the stewardess announced that the plane would soon be landed and he needed to buckle up his seatbelt and straighten his seat.

This flight has been really taxing to him, not because of the 10 hours of flight from LA to London, but more because of his "companions".

They took the noon flight from Los Angeles Airport and would be arrived in the morning at the Heathrow Airport, 8 hours time differences much to his love for jet lag.

The "They" here he mentioned were he, Jessie, Mary, and Jodie. Yes, that Jodie who said that she was also got an invitation from British Royalty.

Sighed escape again from his mouth and his vision turned to the scenery of the Big Smoke City.

He started to recall about why this flight became so tiring. It began when started to board the aircraft.

Jessie made herself seated beside him and in front of them was where Jodie and Mary were seated. Of course, as a generous person, he asked Jessie to book them a first-class ticket so their journey would be relaxing... or not.

Mary had another job besides coming here as his partner. This is a good time for Muspelheim to expand its distribution channel outside North America.

If they could make a deal with England and also France, the film distribution in entire Europe will be a piece of cake.

So after England, they will be having a nice vacation to Paris once again.

As for this New Year's Eve Royal Banquet, he never heard that there was this annual event being held or maybe his prestige was not high to know if there was a secret party.

Mary and Jodie, who have been rekindled their relationship again were closer than before, and they didn't close their bickering and gossips since the Christmas Party.

So after the aircraft started to cruise, he took out a paper and pen and planned to finish 3 scripts he was planning to shoot with the same theme, about love.

He did the first ones and he began his way for the second one.

Without consent, a hand suddenly extended to where the first script being placed and successfully stole it.

He knew whose hand was it so he let her have a way to do it, as she was one of the people he would permit to see it.

"Your handwriting is really good. Are you sure you are not a girl?" Jessie said.

"You already saw my thing when I was a little kid Jessie, so don't deny it."

She laughed reminiscing it, "What a cute Annie, only she was the one who could pull your pants out. She's my favorite."

"Because she is the only one who has an attitude like you are." He said without glancing at her.

Hours passed with him having spent so much time doing this script, suddenly someone pushed the script that Jessie stole to his face.

'Who dares!?' His anger stopped after he saw the person who did it was Mary, with her standing with her knee from her seat.

There's also 2 pair of eyes watching the interaction between this siblings.

"Don't know if I should mad or pity you. You have some unrequited love somewhere Al? Let Big Sis help you. But making sure you settled things out with Ione and Gwen first, they are nice girls." Mary said with worry slipped on her voice.

"What are you talking about... Oh, you read the script." Mary nodded.

"It was just a fiction I had in mind Mary, and things with Ione and Gwen are... complicated."

What he said earned a death glare from all women. Another hour passed with him explaining things between him and those girls.

Al has become a topic of gossip with girls since the Christmas Party. Playboy title was stuck with him like a badge, of course, he didn't try to justify what he was doing.

He was in the wrong and could only apologize to those girls and maybe let time work its magic.

10 hours ride was a long time, but he felt it was like an all-day flight because of the hostility these girls gave, so he stopped working and decided to sleep, whether pretending or real thing; all the way to London.

They finally landed at Heathrow Airport. 

Mary, Jodie, and Jessie decided to go directly to the hotel and resetting their biology clock because of jet lag.

For him, he felt he wanted to wander around London first, finishing his 2nd script which almost complete.

He bid his farewell for those girls. Jessie then gave him 3 layers of a winter coat and warned him to always hide his appearance.

Won't know if there was a crazy paparazzi out there, England is the birthplace of them.

He waited at one of the long chairs in the airport and on his hands was a map of London City. He put his scripts above the backpack beside him.

After marked some of his destination with a pen, he traveled his hands to the place he put his scripts and backpack but found out that it was replaced with a book.

'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austin was written on the front cover of the book. While his script was being read by a young woman who also wore heavy winter cloth-like him.

On her lap was his other script and she was reading his script with her passionate eyes hiding behind glasses.

In turn, he read her book, and within the first page when he opened the book, he saw the name of the owner, "Minnie" with a heart drawing below the name.

He was forced into reading the novel while waiting for her to finish reading the script.

An hour passed and he heard her a longing sigh came from her mouth.

"Finished reading it Minnie?"

"Huh?" She looked at the person beside her and a blush crept into her face.

"You like it Minne?" He asked again. 'American?' She thought after hearing his accent.

"My name is not..." She paused, "That was my nickname, and the person who can use it is my closest ones." She answered with her British accent which quite pleasing to his ears.

"Well, since you have mine, and I'm yours, so it can be considered we're quite close." He pointed at his script and waved at her book in his hand.

Her face reddened in embarrassment, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to read it but it caught my attention, so I can't help it."

"Which one do you like? Oh, pardon my rudeness, I went by the name Edward." He saluted with a British accent and gentlemen manner.

"You knew that was offending right?" She squinted her eyes.

He gave her a teasing smile, "I knew, but what do you think about those 2? Give me your truthful opinion."

She looked at the 2 scripts in her hands, "I love the second ones, the first one gave me an uneasy feeling though if I hear the music, I maybe change my mind,"  

She smiled sweetly at his direction, "I like how sweet it is on the second ones, but I think it's not finished yet, will they meet again in 6 months?" She eagerly wanted to know.

"For you my dear, I give you a hint they will meet more than 10 years later." 

"That long!" Her cheeks were cutely inflated when she heard the numbers.

If he took another look at her again, she had a quite cute appearance. Her black silky hair was cut into chin-length, no bangs were covering her forehead, her skin was pale and white like porcelain.

She had hazel eyes that could stare back at his soul, even behind those frames. Her nose was a bit larger than girls he saw but it looks beautiful on her and those lips he could stare at, forever.

While he was checking her out, she also sneakily take a peek at his appearance, black hair like a midnight sky even darker than hers. Symmetrical long face as if been crafted like Greek statues, though if not because of those thick rounded glasses, she could catch more of his appearance.

She bit her lower lip because he kept looking at her with his ethereal glowing amber eyes. It was as if she was gazing at the sunset in Santorini Beach she visited months ago.

She decided to get his attention back by faking a cough. It worked as his face redden and immediately gave her an awkward smile.

"Are you a screenwriter? How old are you? You look so young!" Rapidly she was asking the question.

"You can call me that, but more like a pseudo-screenwriter. I'm sixteen next year by the way. How about you Missus Minnie?"

"It's rude for men asking girl's age, but for you who gave me a chance to read those scripts, I'm also sixteen next year." She smiled sweetly at him.

"What made you interested in my script Minnie? 'Till you ignored this masterpiece." He waved her novel at her face.

"I've read those dozen times, and I'm a bit bored. Fortunately, I found an interesting title written on those scripts and something whispered to my ears and made me read it. It brought me here, having a nice chat with a good-looking gentleman." She teasingly smiled.

"Here I thought only French women dare to compliment a man."

"It seemed you are underestimating British woman too much Mr. Edward. My turn then, what brought you over here Edward?"

He showed her the map he was holding, "I want to explore the city of London, maybe refresh myself a bit to finish my third script."

She bit her lower lip again, maybe this was a habit of her when she got a little nervous. 'Also made her look cuter than before.' He thought.

"What if, this is if Mr. Edward; If I accompany you to explore this city. I was born in this lovely city, and I consider myself a decent companion."

Al took a long time to register what happened. Did this cute girl was throwing herself at him? Since when it was so easy to let a girl accompany a stranger? 

Those millennials and Gen Z girls in the future seemed to be harder to get than this.

Who was he to judge, maybe she was attracted to him or maybe she just wanted to befriend him. He took a time to think before giving her the answer.

It has been a while since she gave him a suggestion and now she was quite anxious to hear his answer, 'Wait, why I should anxious?'

After a million thoughts slipped into his mind he finally decided on something but, "First, why do you want to do this? What if I'm a stranger who wanted to kidnap you and sell your organ in the black market or maybe sell you to prostitution."

His question made her scared stiff. But then she regained her confidence believing that he was just testing her.

"That's why I asked your age first." Then she showed him the script titled <Before Sunrise> on the front page, "After I read this, I suddenly want to experience it, and I suddenly thought that maybe as the screenwriter, you are the perfect guy!" She smiled fondly while holding the script.

He suddenly has to reconsider before he wanted to shoot that film. If he could make this naive girl believed everything written on the script, what will happen to the other naive girls out there?

"I know that face!" She suddenly said while pointing at his face, "You must be thought that I was just a naive girl who only thought about rainbows and butterflies, but I am not Mr. Edward." She scolded him.

He was amused at her sudden outburst and asked her again, "Are you sure? What if this was a bad idea? Don't you have something else to do?"

"Please Mr. Edward, I beg you. I know of London, and I have nothing else to do until New Year." She pursed her lips and let a puppy-dog face came out.

He couldn't resist facing those moves, his training to fight it always ended up in failure.

He finally sighed and relented, "Okay, but it was one time only, and only because you want to experience what happened on the script."

Her face got excited, "Thank you, Mr. Edward."

"Just call me Ed from now, Ms. Tour Guide." He smiled, but before he wanted to explain further, she pulled his hand and dragged him out off the Heathrow Airport.

"Let's go!" She beamed with excitement.

'This will be a long day. If I remember, I didn't ask her last name and also I didn't give mine. Oh right, as if that important now.' He mused.

It is not that Rong Rong is someone special and they all thought only good about her. It is just that she always spent all her time with all of them while learning about acting from them. If she really wanted to act like a stuck up then there is no way that she would have any contact with any of them before this too.
Since she had the support of Sun Bingwen, no one would dare say anything to her even if she acted stuck up but she did not. Hence they all subconsciously sided with her in their minds.
When Rong Rong went to Sun Bingwen's room, everyone congratulated her while the room was filled with Sis Xiao's enthusiasm for her sister's success.
Within some time, Rong Rong's script arrived and everyone gave her some time so she could read everything clearly as there was not much time left.
When Shao Rong saw her first ever scene, her pupils immediately contracted. Is this really a coincidence or is it a premeditated plan?
Whatever it was, Shao Rong decided to ignore it and be as professional as she could be while ignoring her co-star as much as she can. She can have minimal contact with him and that contact could be constricted to only while shooting the scene and other than that specific time she could treat him as an ordinary stranger.
Ren Weimin, who was going to be her co-star in her first scene, should have that professionalism that he would not do anything beyond his limits, right? She then also remembered another important fact.
Ren Weimin does not know that Rong Rong is none other than Shao Rong herself. Since he does not know her, then it means that she was a stranger to him as well.
No one knows better than herself about how Ren Weimin would treat a stranger with coldness. Though she would never have liked to be subjected to similar coldness from him which was specified to only strangers, at this moment, she really needed him to act as a stranger to her. Hence she was really thankful that he would not recognize her nor he would disturb her or her feelings.
Rong Rong started reading the script while her lips and hands were shaking uncontrollably with nervousness. When Sis Xiao saw that, she gave her some warm water and spoke a few words to lighten her mood and once again gave her some space so she could prepare well for her scene.
When there was no one in the room, Shao Rong placed that piece of papers aside as it was not much difficult to remember such few lines. It is just that Rong Rong is a little girl and she should act well with nervousness that she needed to hold that script for so long.
While she took out her phone to look through so that she could pass some time, her phone suddenly rang indicating an incoming message. When she opened the messages, she found that there were two messages from her hacker which were both tracked from Changying's phone.
The first one was an audio file while the second one was a text. Since there was no one around at the moment, Shao Rong took the chance to hurry and listen to the audio. She can read the text later too but the audio can't be heard by anyone else. So she decided to hurry to listen to it first.
When the audio played, she heard the conversation between Changying and the Bald head. Once the call ended, Shao Rong smirked. The bald head did not disappoint her and did a good job in talking with Changying.
Then she noticed the text which was around a minute after the call with the bald head ended. The sender was Changying but once she looked at the receiver, Shao Rong's eyes darkened. It is a satellite number which could not be traced. She is sure that the receiver was their main target for their mission. She then proceeded to read the details of the message which sure was long.
"The battery of the other phone is dead so I am sending you the message from this phone. Do not reply to this number. I will delete this message immediately too. I tried to teach that Bitch a lesson yesterday. I do not know how she escaped but I really hate this end. She was not harmed in the least. She is still fine and moving around in front of me as if nothing ever happened. I really want to kill her now. Well, baby, I really miss you. I want to cuddle with you so that I can forget about my anger with her. I want to see you faster. I love you baby. Okay Bye."
As soon as she read the message, Shao Rong closed her phone and closed her eyes to think everything carefully once again. The message, the context, the timings and everything else is pointing that Changying the secret lover of his.
Whoever it was, one thing was definitely cleared because of this message. Chenguang had nothing to do with him. So from now onwards, Changying's details should be tracked more carefully than before.
Shao Rong then opened her eyes and once again locked open her phone to once again read the message carefully to catch any clues hidden in it.
From the message it can be deduced that there was another phone here with which the messages are exchanged between the two of them. So, maybe she should get hold of that phone next. It may help her easily catch her target faster.
She then sent a message to her hacker saying to keep a close eye on Changying and leave Chenguang alone from now on. She also reminded him to go to the punishment hall to take his punishment today itself.
She was surprised to see his reply, "Boss, I had already received my punishment and started to work too. Please have mercy on me. I know that you don't like people who delay any work. So I went to the punishment hall today morning without waiting for you to repeat your orders."
Shao Rong once again smirked when she read the message and sent a simple reply, "Hmm."
She then placed her phone aside and took the script back into her hands to read it when she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. As expected, as soon as she looked at the script, the door was knocked from the outside and was then opened.
A man entered while smiling at Rong Rong, "Rong Rong. Director Gao wanted me to send you this script. He said that there were some last minute changes in the script and you should read them clearly now."
He then handed another small set of papers which looked just like the ones that were in Rong Rong's hands. Rong Rong took them with respect as she smiled at him, "Okay Brother Ling. I understand. Thank you for your hard work."
The man's smile intensified as he spoke, "No no. There was nothing hard work in this little thing. It was just a small errand for Director Gao. I will be leaving now then. You prepare yourself well and don't be nervous. Director Gao would not scold you today because he also knows that today is your first time filming." As soon as he spoke, he left the room and while he was leaving, he heard a 'Thank you' from Rong Rong once again from his back.
Once the door was closed again, Shao Rong plopped back into her chair lazily as she opened the new script in her hands. 'What new changes does the Director Gao Renshu want to do now?'
As soon as she opened and looked at the new changes in the script, Shao Rong, who was lazily leaning on the back of the chair, instantly shot up like an arrow and stood straight as her eyes widened with utter bewilderment.
She once again read the script to cross check if what she had read was correct or if it was just her illusion. She thus read it once, then twice, and then thrice. She continued reading the script for about ten times to really confirm that what she read was not an illusion but was really written there.
"Isn't Ren Weimin famous for not having any kissing scenes in his entire acting career? Then why does this script include her having to peck him on his cheeks? Is only him kissing would be considered as a kiss and if the girl kissed him, then it was not a kiss? What is Ren Weimin thinking in adding this scene? There is definitely no way that Director Gao added this scene without Ren Weimin saying or agreeing to this."
Just thinking about what is going to happen during the filming started to give Shao Rong a big headache. Can she leave this mission alone and leave this place immediately?

Jaemin was living a busy life.

He had just turned sixteen, and it was also the start of the year 2010.

He had begun his entertainment career as a fashion model in 2009, appearing in runway shows, magazine editorials and commercials. He even had signed a few endorsement deals, making that his first earnings as a model.

He had also modeled for other cosmetica brands and the like. The more he modelled, the more requests came in. The System also didn't stay idle in these past months, it kept creating quests for him to complete. If one combined this fact with the fact that he was training like hell as a trainee, then it would only be logical that his growth in stats was so quick.

His overall growth in physical aspects showed as well. He was currently standing at 176 centimeters tall.

If he kept up like this, then he would eventually become about 184 centimeters before his growth stopped. 

He trusted his genes though, the system could also help if he got too tall.

There was also one more thing he was super excited about, when one would type in Google Search: Kim Jae-min, he would come up. His occupation would show, that he was a model. Even a fairly detailed Wikipedia article had showed up about him.

And all of these things, had happened in the last two months, which made it the time that he truly gained recognition from the masses.

More and more people recognized him when he was in public. There weren't a shitload of people everytime he went out, but still a relatively big amount. And that amount, would only grow bigger overtime.

It would have it's disadvantages in the future, but he liked the attention for now.

His trainee days were pretty bland though.

Being a trainee was all about training, training and more training. Learning, learning and more learning.....

His improved stats made both easier, but it was still mentally taxing, not to mention boring. But his modelling activities and his friendships had made it more fun.

His growth was simply unreal, but he knew what he had gone through to achieve this, so he wasn't suprised. '

His growth was all due to the fact that he had decided to sleep less and less. The most sleep he had gotten in these past weeks were no more than five hours.

His health made this possible, since it encompassed vitality and stamina as well. 

He also barely notices his improvement in some of the attributes and skills as well, since they had been upgraded so much.

The higher a stat/skill was upgraded, the less the effects would be.

There was also something, which suprised him.

He had planned to make his acting debut in Dream High, how he would accomplish that though, was the real question.

Originally, it was Kim Soo-hyun and 2PM's Taecyeon who had the main roles, and they had both made their acting debut already. That meant that it should have been incredibly hard to succeed to get one of those roles, since they had a better portfolio.

But...

He had forgotten something important.

He was a bit stupid not for noticing this in the first place, but when one looks at it, didn't it seem that the drama Dream High was filled with people from JYP Entertainment?

Miss A's Bae Suzy and 2PM's Taecyeon and Wooyoung. Even JYP himself was in it.

He had to rack his brain for an hour straight, to finally remember that JYP was a creative director of the drama. If not for his better intelligence and memory, he would have had to ask him himself. 

It meant that JYP had some intake to decide who should act in the drama.

He really questioned if this system had given him some insane luck enhancement, since JYP had asked him, about an hour ago, if he liked acting.

He had tried to create the "Luck" attribute before, but it ended up not working, sadly. He suspected that if the Luck attribute actually existed, it should be over 9000.....

He said that he thought he was pretty good at it, and that he enjoyed it a lot.

And about a minute later, a text message from JYP was sent to him. It showed an example of an acting script.

And he recognized some of those lines, they were from Dream High, no doubt about it.

Dream High aired in 2011 and was filmed in 2010-2011, and probably written in the year 2009. Which is probably the reason why the script already existed.

JYP texted him then and there, that he should practice those lines for tomorrow, since he wanted to check if his acting was any good. He also told him that he must not send this script to anyone else, since he had "plans" for it.

He naturally agreed, he would be foolish if he didn't

He then studied the script once more, and deduced that he would be renacting the scene where Kim Soo-hyun........ confessed his feelings for Suzy.

The first thing he thought about is if he would act this scene with Suzy herself, or with someone else.

If it was Suzy.....

He couldn't help but anticipate while still being nervous.

He had met her once, but the only thing they did was a simple greeting. Words weren't even exchanged between the two of them.

Wouldn't it be super akward for both him and her to do such a thing? Moreover, she was his sunbea(~), and he was her hubea (~). She was his noona(~), and he was her dongsaeng, if they would even get close enough to let her call him that.(~).

He was younger than her, which would make it pretty akward and hard for him.

He was mentally more mature though, so he automatically behaved more like an oppa(~), even in front of older women. It kind off made a weird contrast, but his manly appearance and stature made up for that. 

Women also tended to like such things.

But he should just let fate decide if he would act the scene with her or a random stranger, worrying about it is pointless.

And here he was, laying peacefully on his bed, practicing the script.

He would do well tomorrow.

Kim Min-jae always dreamed of becoming a K-pop idol. He tried everything: taking acting and dance classes, becoming better at singing and rapping etc.

He had been a trainee, but got eliminated in one of the yearly evalutions.

Why?

He wasn't good at anything a k-pop idol should be good at. The only reason why he became a trainee is because he never gave up on his training.

One night, he looked up to the stars.

"Give me a chance to fulfill all my dreams"

(Cont'd) "But. That's where your process has its downsides. Many people have not seen real nobility and they don't care about the subtle details of your portrayal as long as you look graceful and elegant." Jouny brought up Tayaw's criticism this time.
"Really…" Luca is now more likely to take Jouny's words seriously. He no longer treats Jouny as a mere stranger but a stranger who says things that might help him.  
"Yes. In other words, your process does not fit theater and operatic plays." Jouny concluded the criticisms and waited for Luca to speak his mind.
"So. What then?" Luca does not have anything to say.
"I heard that 'Mantua' only has a few shows left. You found a new job yet?" Jouny changed the subject. Luca tried to hide his frustrations at the situation he is reminded of by the question.  
"Not yet." Luca shook his head while Jouny nodded.
"I heard from my friend that musicals are getting more modern. And modern musicals focus more on the story and acting than actual singing." Jouny said what she heard from Tayaw.
"Hm. So you're saying that's the reason I can't get a job?" Luca asked.  
"Probably, yes. Maybe there are other reasons, we don't know. But, instead of grinding or waiting around for something that you might not get in Broadway, why not try working for our upcoming film? At least you have something to do for now." Jouny stated her real intentions, pulled out a stack of papers from her handbag and handed them to Luca. Luca looked at the papers and he figured that it is a complete film script  
'Gold, Blood, and the Deer.' Luca read the first page and started reading. (I know. I'm terrible with titles. I'll explain though why I named the film as such.) Luca, after scanning for a minute or two, realized something.
"A film about the mob?" Luca could not believe it.
"Yes." Jouny simply confirmed.
"Are you guys nuts? You're asking for trouble!" Luca hearing Jouny's casual tone, thought Jouny is crazy.  
"We're not." Jouny ignored Luca's concern.
"Look, I've grown up around people who got involved with the mob. This is serious business." Luca tried to express the risk of making the film. Despite his apprehension of the script's story, he still eyed the script in his hands hungrily and wanted to read it more.  
"We know. But my friend said it was approved by the people concerned. What was the name? uhh. I can't remember. The director said that they're the good type of mob." Jouny tried to recall.
"The Coniglio Family…" Luca was dumbfounded after he connected the dots. His apprehension quickly disappearing, knowing that the Coniglio is not like other mobs.
"Coniglio Family. That's what it was." Jouny nodded.
"How?" Luca asked, hungry for gossip.
"I dunno. Ask the director, he wrote the script." Jouny just shrugged her shoulders. Luca also dropped his curiosity on the matter seeing as Jouny knows nothing about it.  
"Well. If it's them then I guess it's fine. Anyway, seeing as you've approached me directly, and talked to me for this long, I just want to be sure… You're really offering me a role? No auditions?" Luca asked, excited.
"Yep. And you will play the lead role, Giovanni Cervo. That's the parallel of the real life uh…" Jouny tried to recall again. (Cervo which is 'deer' in italian. 'real life' Gonzalo Coniglio is dubbed as 'Golden Rabbit'. 'fictional' counterpart, Giovanni Cervo 'Golden Deer'. So with the themes of the film, I titled it as "Gold, Blood, and the Deer.")
"Gonzalo Coniglio? So this film is about his life, huh." Luca connected the dots, looked at the script strangely and his mind ran a mile a minute.  
After letting Luca entertain his thoughts for a few moments, "So, you up for it?" Jouny asked.
"T-this. May I have another role? Does a fictional version of Don Sylvio in your film? I'll take that instead." Luca said hesitantly. Jouny while having an inkling of what Luca is feeling, does not want to waste Luca's skills for a supporting role.  
"Sylvio who? Anyway. No. Take it or leave it." Jouny said, which frustrated Luca. Seeing Luca's expression, Jouny shook her head.
"You are our first choice for the role. Look at it this way. This film will prove your acting skills to the world. You will play Giovanni when he was in his late 20s to his 60s. The work you did to play Duke Borgia? You can use it with us." Jouny said. Her words this time, is her own input and impression of Luca's skills.  
"I would love to but… I'm playing THE Gonzalo Coniglio. I can't…" Luca mumbled. Jouny figured it out. She figured that Luca is afraid of his skills being inadequate as she was afraid that her script was going to make Tayaw lose money.  
"Hey. It is a huge responsibility, I know. But we're trusting that you'll do a good job, that's why I'm talking to you right now." Jouny assured Luca. Jouny's assurance seemed to have failed however as Luca still looked at her with hesitance in his eyes.
"You won't be alone. The director will help you; he will guide you." Jouny added.  
Listening to Jouny made Luca curious. "This director. Who's he, by the way? He managed to convince not just any mob, but THE mob. He must be a huge deal, huh?" Luca asked.
"The director is what you may call, a very promising upstart. It's Isaac Yawat, he made 'September Ninth'." Jouny revealed.  
"He won the Sorrento … " Before Jouny could continue, "Yeah. I know him, alright." Luca interrupted.
"Oh?" Jouny nodded.
"Every actor's heard of him. He has mixed… reputation. Anyway, you could have just told me that Isaac is looking to hire me, I would have said yes immediately." Luca said, the hesitation that was once in his eyes is now replaced with excitement.
"Yeah? So, you'll work with us?" Jouny asked.
"Yeah. Yeah, of course! I mean, Isaac said on TV that the actors in 'September Ninth' are comedians, right? If they did great in that film, how hard could it be to do the same?" Luca smiled widely.  
"Good. That's good then. I'll take this one first…" Jouny said as she took the script on Luca's hand.
"Wha – t" Luca was dumbfounded as he watched Jouny put the script back in her handbag.
"We have not printed a character script for you yet, and it's better if you don't see the entire thing, for now. Okay?" Jouny said.  
Luca also understood. After all, there are no papers signed yet, just verbal agreements.  
"By the way. If you know any actors who are also struggling, can you give me their numbers? I'll take a look at them." Jouny asked. Luca, hearing it, is glad to oblige and help his friends.

*ta-ta-ta-ta-taff-taff* Wow. Just like that, Tayaw just emptied his magazine in maybe three seconds. I draw the target back to us and surprise, surprise; nine out of fifteen bullets hit the 10-point circle and the rest on the 9-point circle. Considering how Tayaw almost casually and quickly he fired, this is incredible.  
I have to say, Tayaw is a quick study with a Beretta, with a suppressor at that. At first, he was lost with the recoil of the gun but after my coaching and him getting used to it, he now shoots just as good, if not better than my uncle's best shooters that I've seen. His stance and posture need some work, but all that matters is hitting the target.  
"Phew" "Damn." Spectators behind us agree with me too. Five of my uncle's men who were doing their own shooting practice earlier, are now watching behind us. Unlike my expectations, our 'date' has become a spectacle for my uncle's men instead of a personal intimate one. To be exact, it's Tayaw's shooting that has become the spectacle.
Even though Tayaw and I established earlier that we're not really on a date-date, I feel like my uncle's men are intruding. I also think they did it purposefully, basing on the smug smirk on their faces when they did, and their quick stink eye for Tayaw when Tayaw was not looking. I tried glaring at them, but it didn't work.  
Now though, it seems that they've grown to like Tayaw. Not only are they impressed of Tayaw's shooting, they are also loving Tayaw's crass jokes. I would have been embarrassed listening to the jokes had I not grown up around these types of men.  
"By the way. How do you hear out of that thing?" Bryan, the gun range's manager, asks Tayaw.
I'm curious too. Earlier, I saw Tayaw put earplugs AND THEN wear the earmuffs on top of it.
"Ah. My ears are very very sensitive. I get migraines when hear loud noises for too long." Tayaw explains as he points at his left ear.
"So that explains the suppressor." Another man comments.
"That's right. Thank goodness, you have these incredible muffs man." Tayaw replies.  
"Fellas! Don't act like firing a 9mm Beretta like a BB gun, at a rate of a fully automatic, is normal…" One of the men says. Oh. I didn't notice. Me and the rest of the guys also looks at Tayaw for an answer.
"I-uh…" Tayaw seems to struggle answering.  "Well. I lift weights and I do rock climbing a lot back in Teungeb. Grip strength, baby. Adding to that, I also played a lot of airsoft back home." Tayaw finally explains, as he flexes his biceps to them. The guys don't look impressed, maybe because they're just as ripped. But I am impressed.  
Not only am I impressed by his arms, but by his figure as well. Before we started shooting earlier, Tayaw took off his suit jacket and loosened his vest, displaying his body hugged tightly by his white dress shirt. Unlike my uncle's men who have bulging muscles, Tayaw's muscles look like a deer's or a cheetah's, very toned.
Wait a minute… A guitarist doing rock climbing? That's… Something's wrong with that answer. Oh well, the guys seem to have been convinced by his answer, whatever.  
"Ah." Tayaw interjects as he looks at his vintage looking watch. This guy really loves vintage looking things. The car, his suit, now his watch.
"It's 7:30. Gentlemen, we have a dinner reservation to catch." Tayaw says to the boys.
Thank God. I'm starving and I don't want to yell at the boys out of hunger. More importantly, private time.  
Tayaw grabs his suit jacket and hat, and I also fix my dress to get ready.
"Wait, my guy. Come hang with us some time, huh?" Bryan steps in between me and Tayaw and he pats Tayaw's shoulder.
"I'm customizing and AK74N, take it for a spin when it's ready. I'm gonna add a can on it for your ears." Bryan says. Wow. Someone has a crush.
"Alright. I'll come by again when I want to unwind. Hey. I saw some vintage guns back at the counter. Are they functional? I wanna study them." Tayaw asks.
"Oh. We haven't used those in a long time. I'll take a look at them later." Bryan says.
"Thanks man. I really need to study them. I'll even pay you to gather me guns like it." Tayaw says and proceeds to fist bump the guys.
Huh, it's like I'm third-wheeling here.
"Dinner?" I ask Tayaw as I lean on him and I hook my arms on his.
Heh. That's it. The discomfort in their eyes looking at my actions. That's right, it's my date, not yours.  
"Yeah. See you fellas." Tayaw says, and with that, we're finally leaving.  
After we enter his car once again, I hear Tayaw chuckle.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Heh. They're really protective of you. You're lucky." Tayaw replies.
"So you noticed?" I ask.
"Psh. I may be stupid sometimes, but I'm not entirely clueless. I found it adorable though. You must be quite close to them for them to be that way." Tayaw says.  
"Yeah. Sometimes I take them for granted." I shake my head as Tayaw's words reminds me how good I got it.
"So, any of them had the balls to ask you out?" He asks.
"Nah. They don't see me that way. At least, that's what I think." I say. I mean, one guy from one of the subordinate families tried to ask me out, but he can't take the pressure of going out with the Coniglio's princess.  
"And, if I'm gonna date someone, it'd be a guy who's not in the mob." I say.
"Hmm… Is that a hint for me?" He chuckles and I snap my head to his direction. This smooth bastard.
