Hey readers,
I am currently working on A Secret Love Affair Series the first book is Paige and Sienna that is already available with chapters to come. Before the existing questions could be answered, new ones had appeared. Gu Jun looked into the starless sky and felt at least some comfort within him knowing that Earth had not collapsed and was not destroyed. Peacock's group of five came from Earth and perhaps so did all the land's travellers for the past 30 years. 
"I, I…" At that moment, Peacock groaned in pain. She lifted her eyes to look at him and they were filled with blankness. "Mr. Nightmare Man, I don't understand…" She slowly stood up to look around. There was sand and nothingness, instantly tears poured out of her eyes. "What, what happened to our settlements?"
"You finally see the truth?" Gu Jun's heart jumped, "In actuality, there are only us around here."
"The City of Kindle…" Peacock wanted to take a step forward but her knees buckled and she dropped to the sand like a deflated balloon. "Where is the city and the temple?" 
Gu Jun answered it for her. "Everything has disappeared like a mirage being broken, yes? I can relate to that but for me, this is what I've been seeing since you brought me here." While he was sharing the mental bond with her, he had taken a glimpse of the City of Kindle, that did not appear like an illusion. 
"Is it the Ossarians? But even they could not have removed the trace of everything so fast… or we've gone to the wrong place? But…" Peacock saw the two sacred relics the nightmare man was holding. She muttered, "The relics are here…" She suddenly raced towards the lake. She rushed to the lakeshore where the cluster of rocks was and saw the rock with the seal. It was so simple-looking, it was just an old rock. The garden of statues had disappeared. Peacock returned with helplessness. When she passed Malachite, the latter did not seem to notice her. She picked up the porcelain puppy from the sand and gave it a loving pat. 
"Kathlyn." Gu Jun decided to snap her out of it, he yelled in English, "Can you hear me? You are not Peacock, your name is Kathlyn!" He was now certain that there was another personality hiding inside the shell of Peacock and that identity would be able to give him more information. 
"Ah…" Peacock's still chaotic mind started to quiver again. "What is all this? Ah… Kathlyn Lee…" her face twisted and her voice changed. The strange string of English letters came out again, "Where am I… Have I lost my mind?" Then she switched back to the language of the land's travellers as she shouted at herself, "Who are you? Get out of my mind!" Her two consciousnesses appeared to be fighting for dominance, it manifested as the girl's frantic scratching at her head like she was trying to yank both of them out. Gu Jun walked slowly towards her as the girl gradually calmed down. 
"Mr. Nightmare Man." Peacock whispered. "I recognize her now. Kathlyn, she is right here." Her eyes focused and then the stability faded away, being replaced by some youthfulness. "Damn it, damn it! Mr. Mask, do you exist for real? Oh my god, what are those? Rats?" 
"Calm down." Gu Jun consoled her. "You are Kathlyn Lee, right? What is the most recent date that you can remember? Answer me!" 
Kathlyn was rather startled by him and she uttered quite dazedly, "It's somewhere around June."
"Has there been any big change to Earth?" he pursued, "Anything going on in China? Epidemic? Supernatural tragedy? Did you hear anything about that?"
"I… don't think so." Kathlyn shook her head in confusion. "Things are as they were." 
Gu Jun gave a sigh under his breath, his worried heart finally relaxed. If she was not lying, then it had been almost half a year since he boarded the white ship to Dreamlands. The Nightmare Illness was truly vanquished, there was no epidemic of it at Eastern State, China or the rest of the world.
"What is the last thing that you can remember?" Gu Ju asked.
"I… I am not sure." Kathlyn admitted quite openly. "I have some psychological problem, you know, the kind that needs medication for me to function properly. Tom, my boyfriend, is the same way. Honestly, why is he standing there like a dumb rock? Tom! I know this will sound weird but apparently we can see strange things."
"What?!"
"There is a city in the desert." Kathlyn shrugged. "It is like a desert mirage. It comes complete with houses, streets, and citizens. According to Peacock, it's called the City of Kindle. By the way, I have no idea who or what she is. This kind of illusion started when I joined a party when I was 16…"
"Judy's birthday party?" Gu Jun asked which earned a startled look from Kathyln. "How did you know that? Are you one of my imaginary friends?"
"No." Gu Jun answered. "You can't remember at all how you got here? Other than Tom, was there anyone else with you?"
"I really can't remember." Kathlyn frowned in thought but in the end, she shook her head. "All I can remember was going on a date to the cinema with Tom, I was leaving my apartment… and then, I was here." Gu Jun asked Kathlyn a few more questions but he got nothing new. Like she said, she and Tom were just normal people. He tried to arrange his thoughts. Compared to schizophrenia, they seemed more likely to suffer from multiple personality disorder, there was an extra soul living in their bodies… a soul of a land's traveller that seemed to have come from the future. That started to occur after the party that happened many years ago, but recently they stumbled into Dreamlands through some unknown methods. There were 5 of them. Then Peacock and the other personalities took over their bodies, seeing and experiencing different things. 
The senses of oneself depended on the stimuli received by the brain. These stimuli might not come from the external world, it could come from the internal world as well. For example, people with hallucination responded solely to their imagined world, with no regard for the actual world. Their imagined world was as real as the one outside. Be it Kathlyn or Peacock, before this, they did not know about each other and the other's memory. They were like chess pieces that did not know they were one. In that case, who was the puppet master playing at the chess board? How did they manage to do this and what was their goal? And where did these 3 sacred relics come from? Who placed them here? The land's travellers from the past?
The more Gu Jun thought about it, the greater the headache. The wind picked up a wall of sand that enveloped him like an invisible hand. And these information about the future? Are they real or not? The chaos within Phecda, the internal traitor, the age of collapse, the bloody lungs disease, the mutated scale disease, the petrification disease…
And what did the Ancient seal and the Pnakotic Manuscripts had to do with all that…
"What happened to the previous land's travellers?" Gu Jun asked the Elder Zoog. "Do you know?"
"Erm." The Elder Zoog patted his head with difficulty. "Even us Zoogs will not pay such close attention to these nobodies."
"Mr. Nightmare Man." Peacock had returned while Kathlyn faded away. She asked in confusion, "Is this one of the nightmares you have casted?"
At the same time, commotion rose among the Zoogs. The Elder Zoog clapped his hands to interrupt her and announced nervously, "Mr. Nightmare Man, I think you should know this. The channel has started to become unstable, based on our experience, it is about to collapse soon."

The once-bustling and noisy streets were now filled with an eerie blanket of silence.
Hoarse and frenzied whispers lingered high above the heavens, and an indescribable ancient giant lurked in the shadows of the bottomless ocean.
A mysterious plague had outbroken, and natural disasters wrought the Earth. Global pandemic and catastrophes had the panicked masses seeking illusory shelters from the devastation, day and night.
A bloody shower poured over the land as the streaks of lightning tore across the sky, illuminating the ill-intentioned gathering of ravens above. Nevermore, nevermore, quoth the ravens.
"We can see that this malformed creature has twelve pairs of ribs like humans, but also has a "transverse bone" that humans do not possess..."
In the medical school, Gu Jun continued bringing down his scalpel, illustrating the abnormal thoracic structure of the malformed cadaver on the dissection table to the surrounding students.
Ominous and treacherous times had descended! Truth and logic had crumbled, order warped into a frenzy. Humanity can only forge ahead through the power of intelligence and wisdom.

Daniels and Lilly made their way back to the tavern without a hitch. No more strange encounters with asshole rich kids.
Though it wasn't incredibly labor-intensive, Daniels still got a little beat up. The both of them had to trek all the way there and back so they were a little tuckered out. After the nice hearty meal coupled with the walk back the two just wanted to relax for some time. They unstrapped their gear and decided to lay down for a little nap.
Daniels left his pistol on the nightstand within easy reach as he got into bed, and Lilly soon joined him. It was still odd sharing his bed with someone else, especially so a beautiful young woman like Lilly, but her presence and body warmth were incredibly soothing.
The two ended up snuggling together, not quite in a romantic way, more along the lines of just enjoying each other's warmth. Soon enough they fell asleep in each other's embrace. Daniels would later note that he'd never slept as soundly or easily even back on Earth than he had sharing the bed with Lilly. He enjoyed a serene dreamless sleep.
When Daniels awoke the room was dark. Lilly was still snuggled up against him soundly dozing. He gently stroked her hair causing her to softly smile in her sleep. He could very easily see himself falling in love with this girl. He opened up the main system menu and checked the time displayed on the small digital clock.
The clock read 12:41, and sure enough, when he checked his stats he saw that his mana was completely replenished to a full 160.  He wanted to hurry and summon the new equipment but didn't want to wake up Lilly.
Taking a glance around he found an option for a queue, allowing him to pay for the equipment without immediately summoning it physically.
He returned to the MKG and immediately qued two of them for deployment. They both came with 26 round generic magazines with additional costing 18 MP. 40 round mag-ex2s could be also purchased at a rate of 25 MP per mag.
He was frustrated at the lack of available mana to summon equipment with, but for the moment decided to summon 4 26 round magazines leaving no room to summon anything else. To be properly combat effective they'd need more magazines and tactical vests to store the magazines. While Daniels could use the item box to store his mags, it took concentration to rifle through the magic storage box whereas with a vest you just grab and reload.
He wasn't able to bask in self-pity or frustration, however, as Lilly snuggled up against him in her sleep. His expression softened as he felt her body resting up against his. It was almost as if she sensed his discomfort in her sleep and moved to fix it.
Yeah, there was no doubt in his mind, he was falling hard for this girl.

The next day the two went to the guild to report completion and receive their reward. They got their 8 silver and went on to sell the abundance of slime cores. The guild paid 2 copper per core and they sold off the 60 some-odd cores for 6 silver coins to top off the quest rewards. 
Daniels decided to celebrate their first successful quest by treating Lilly to a higher-class restaurant than normal on his own dime. Their usual tavern, while not considered cheap, was mainly suited towards slightly well-off adventurers who didn't mind putting out some silver for a hearty meal. The place Daniels decided to take Lilly was for all intents and purposes a modest steakhouse.
Seeing as they went for lunch, and most of the place's business came from the dinner hours, they didn't have to worry about any heavy lines or reservations. As they were brought to a table Daniels noted it was a nice-looking place. It had a good homely feel to it, not trying to be incredibly fancy or stuck up, yet still offering some higher-class meals.
They were directed to a nice corner booth and handed menus by the polite waitress. The waitress left and gave them time to decide. Lilly took a look at the menu and looked a little worried.
"Don't worry too much, enjoy yourself. I said I'm paying didn't I?"
"But it's quite expensive! The main dish here is about what you'd pay for a month's stay at a nice inn!" she replied looking worriedly.
"Please don't worry about it, I'm not exactly rich per see but I'm pretty well off. The least I could do after your excellent work is treat you to a nice meal."
She looked down with a slight blush avoiding eye contact.
"In that case, I'll have a plated silver tail of venison and toast."
He nodded and kept looking through the menu. The meal she'd asked for was only about 13 silver so it wasn't a huge deal to him. He decided on a nice highcow steak and what seemed to be some sort of baked french fry type side. It netted him around 20 silver but he was willing to pay it for a good steak, and the prospect of otherworldly french fries was too much to pass on for the former American.
The waitress came back and took their orders before asking what they'd have to drink.
"We are well known for our sharp champagne if you would like to have that. It comes included with the highcow steak."
"Could I?" Lilly asked timidly.
"Sure. If we could please have a glass of the champagne and would you happen to have any sparkling water or anything of that sort? I prefer to stay sober myself."
That was a blatant lie, Daniels loved nothing more than a couple beers after a hard day's work, but he knew he needed to stay sharp in case anything happened. Handling guns drunk is highly discouraged, and champagne was a bit too high class for his cheap beer pallet.
"Of course. So that will be a plate of silver tail venison with bread and a highcow steak with a side of kartoffelscheibes?"
"Yes please."
"Alright it'll be out in 10 minutes, thank you for your patronage," the waitress bowed and left to take the order to the kitchen.
Another waiter came by with glasses of water while they waited, and Daniels was surprised to see ice chunks in the water.
While they waited they chatted a little bit, learning a thing or two about each other. Through their conversations, Lilly learned that Daniels had the mindest of live free or die, which was not a thought process that was very widespread. This world has been ruled by monarchies and empires pretty much the entire time civilization has existed. Tommy elaborated on the lengths his home nation had gone to become free and stay free. It surprised Lilly that people could truly rise up against rulers and rule (for the most part) by the people.
Daniels found out that Lilly had a profound love of reading. Despite his attitude and mannerisms, Daniels himself loved nothing more than to sit back or lay in bed with the kindle app. As he told Lilly about Kindle he could practically see stars in her eyes.
Soon though, their food arrived. They ate their meal in comfortable silence only occasionally mentioning how good it was. And it certainly was good. The "highcow" steak tasted far better than even the best-prepared steaks he'd ever had back on earth. Must be a different species of cow or the like. And the fries, who knew that baking fries would be so good? Now all he needed was buns and ketchup and he'd be able to recreate a good old-fashioned burger. Now that was a happy thought.
Lilly'd ordered another glass of champagne, and the effects were showing. When they got up to leave she was a bit tipsy. Daniels tried to help her walk but that didn't help either.
[What is that shit? Straight ethanol?]
Just like back in the forest, Daniels gently lifted her in a princess carry. Her soft eyes and flushed cheeks looking up at him, she was absolutely stunning. Daniels wasn't one to take advantage of a girl though. He walked back to their inn with a couple of people congratulating him on his "score" and more than a few looks of scorn.
[It's not what it looks like though...]
When he entered the inn the receptionist woman gave him a stern disapproving look. He would've explained but it seemed that Lilly'd fallen asleep in his arms.
[Oh well, wouldn't be the first time this has happened.] he thought to himself.
When he made it into the room he tried to lay her gently on the bed, but as he was about to turn and walk away she grabbed his head and pulled him into a deep yet awkward kiss.
He pulled back after a moment in shock.
"Lilly what are you..."
As he pulled back she started to cry.
"You... You don't want me?" she softly cried in her drunken stupor.
"No no no, I never said that. I'm just worried the alcohol has got you feeling weird. I don't want to do anything that you'd regret," he told her softly, "Lilly, I really do think I love you, I just don't want to hurt you."
Tears welled up in her eyes at his confession. He reached down and hugged her warmly.
"You're so nice to me... Laying down and snuggling with you just feels so right." she said in between sobs.
"Shhh, I feel the same." he stroked her hair as she drunkenly sobbed, "Lilly I know you've gone through hell, that's why I want to make sure you're happy and well taken care of. I know we haven't been together that long, but trust me when I say I'd go to the ends of the Earth for you."
She sniffled, "Earth?"
He kept gently stroking her hair and rubbing her back, "DO you remember when I said I'm from very far away?"
She lightly nodded.
"I'm not from this world Lilly, I've been reincarnated here from Earth. It's been quite a ride, and I likely would've been very lost and without direction had I not met you. I don't believe in love at first sight, but I do believe everyone's got someone they're destined for. I don't know if I'm destined for you but I certainly know that I feel a strong bond for you that transcends friendship. I love you, Lilly."
Her crying stopped slowly but surely as she calmed down. Soon he was left with just the sound of her softly breathing. he gently laid down in bed with her. It seemed she was fast asleep. He continued to softly stroke her hair as she curled up to him in her sleep. He softly kissed her head and felt her tension ease away in his arms. 
[Lord I thank you for this gift you've given me. For her.] Daniels prayed in his mind as sleep took him.

My second endeavor in writing has our protagonist Daniels sent to a strange world that will be all but too familiar for you, the readers.  What differs this from other isekai, however, is Daniels ability which will let him become the living breathing incarnation of "Victory through Superior Firepower".

I do not plan to hold punches with language and if I deem it appropriate for the situation, the wonderfully gory details.  I hope that this can set itself apart from my other work in terms of quality, coherence, and worldbuilding.  As elements may be added tags will be appropriately mirrored.

It has already been ten minutes since we start following him. More than half of the mages were already left behind and half of what is left is on the verge of collapsing.

From the beginning, Cujo's sudden acceleration was surprising but it was not impossible to chase at. His speed remains constant for the first few minutes. Everyone was still able to keep up with him. Only when the first mage collapses did Cujo increase his speed. It was then followed by many more.

The first group of fire mages that collapses hasn't got any chance to use their magic for the test. Their downfall was because they were physically weak in the first place. Running for a few minutes was already a challenge for these kinds of mages.

When a fourth of the mages from the beginning has stopped chasing and Cujo speed was still increasing, the remaining fire mages have begun using magic.

Many of them used [Kindle Spirit] to increase their speed. It was a spell that boils the blood of the user to enhance his or her physical abilities for a certain amount of time base on the mana of the user. You will know when this is active because it would turn their skin into bright red. When it is done, the user is left with extreme muscle cramps depending on the intensity of the spell. The effectiveness will still depend on the mage's strength and the aftereffect maybe lessen or removed if they comprehend the spell well.

Unfortunately, since [Kindle Spirit] is an Apprentice rank spell, many weren't able to last long especially when Cujo doesn't have any plan of stopping anytime soon.

Now at the ten-minute mark, the people who are left either have a high mana capacity, good physical capabilities, or other magic for a situation like this.

An example of a mage using magic I never saw or heard of before was the person who is currently leading. Ever since the beginning, he was using the flames as boosters for his feet. Whenever he steps, a flaming footprint is left behind while he is propelled at a faster speed.

Meanwhile, the next person who was ahead was a woman who has [Kindle Spirit] activated the whole time. I recognized her emblem as one of the members of the Oda clan. Among everyone who was running, she was the least tired looking. Her mana seems to be better than most participants for this test.

Besides the two of them, there were a couple more people who were in front of me. I was one of the people at the back and farthest from Cujo. From my point of view, his silhouette was barely visible.

It's not like I was having a hard time keeping up. I'm just don't want to exert too much effort since I'm the only one left who was using raw stamina. It would be dangerous if I became too tired and there would be another test after this.

The same couldn't be said the person next to me. He looks like he was already at his limit and was barely keeping up with willpower alone. But somehow, he keeps talking with me.

"You're really amazing. I never knew someone would last this long without using magic."

His words were a compliment but it sounded like sarcasm because he was having a hard time talking.

Subaru introduces himself a while ago when the test was only at the beginning phase. Since then, he keeps on asking questions or sharing stories that I barely care about.

"This damn dog! How long will he keep running? We're already almost outside of the city. I even never knew that Mir has a place like this."

"..."

"Those people in the front are truly something. I can't believe Rika-sama from the Oda clan would participate this year. I heard she is already a prodigy at the age of 18 and her clan is in full support in developing her."

"..."

"She is also one of the beauties in this test. Damn! If only can run faster, I could have a better view of her ass."

"?!?!"

That statement of his caught me off guard. I never expect this pervert would openly share his thoughts.

I slightly increase the speed of my running to get away from him. I don't want to be involved with him any further.

However, to my surprise, Subaru was still able to keep up with me even though it looks like he can't. I tried to run faster but the result was still the same.

Although I stopped increasing my speed any further because we're almost at the leading pack. I don't want to take over those in front because it would create more trouble than benefits.

Subaru was still sticking behind me even after all of that. For some reason, I am the one he keeps on bothering. I'm getting a bit annoyed so I ask him his purpose.

"What are you doing?"

"Ah, you finally talked. I thought you were mute for a second."

"Why are you sticking with me?"

"Nothing in particular. I just found you the most interesting one."

"How about those people in front. I believe you have the ability to do so." I gestured to those people who were leading groups especially the woman he seems interested in.

"Nah, with their attitude, it would be difficult to talk to them. And if I attempt to get any closer to Rika-sama, I'm afraid I would be blasted by her magic."

"I couldn't agree more"

With his perverted nature, it wouldn't be surprising if he died doing so.

"I don't know your name yet so..."

"Silva"

"Silva-san, why did you choose this group?"

Before I was able to comprehend what he just said, Cujo has finally stopped on his tracks.

The place we have arrived was nothing like the populated places that we passed through. It was an empty desert that was unusual to be inside a city.

My first step on the sand, a wave of heat hit my whole body. I tried going back to see if I was tripping because of the sudden change. True to fact, a step backward has returned the temperature to how it should be normally. There was a clear difference between the other side of the spectrum.

The only explanation of why this was happening was magic. That was my best guess since Cujo doesn't care to explain this place at all.

We waited for the remaining mages who were able to keep up. From two hundred or so mages, the number of those who were left doesn't even reach twenty.

When it looks like everyone was finally here, Cujo who was back on his two feet examines the people who remain.

"More people than I expected woof~"

His face turned serious and he walked towards the two people who were the last ones to arrive.

"Both of you are out."

"Why?!?!" The mages who Cujo pointed at exclaimed.

"I said no magic beside fire for today. You think I won't notice your use of wind magic woof~"

Both mages were guilty when Cujo directly told them that they were cheating.

"Your test is unreasonable in the first place! How can we make this far with only fire magic! This doesn't evaluate us fire mages properly! I bet those people also use other elements to pass."

One of the guilty mages began protesting. He loses any type of courtesy when talking to the evaluator for this test. He even pointed us trying to shift some of the blame.

Cujo didn't have any of it and slapped the noisy mage using one of his paws. They flew quite far with that one slap. This dog has unbelievable strength within his furry body.

"That's why people like you aren't deserving of the position of Asmodai scholars. You can always buy your way in through our school but I doubt we will care about you woof~"

The babbling mage was unconscious after that hit. The other mage who was planning to complain turned silent and just went away. That taught everyone here that Cujo easy someone to mess around with.

I also learned the reason why there were a lot of mages attempting this test even when they could enroll in Asmodai using a huge amount of money.

I'm joining this test because there was no way I could afford the other way. Not knowing that this selection test is more than just enrolling in Asmodai. It seems being selected has more importance than I expected.

Cujo who was done with his business took one last glance over us before resuming on his way. This time rather than running, Cujo was walking at a slow pace.

The heat of the sun was being amplified by the scoring sand and wind that hit every single part of my body. If I wasn't a demon who is more capable of handling harsher environment condition than a normal Humas, I would probably be the same as Subaru here.

He looks like he will collapse any soon. Although, the same could be said earlier so I don't know if he's acting or not.

I'm afraid Subaru will become crazy granted that this will continue. It's not only Subaru but many of the remaining mages were having a hard time. The only people who were remaining calm beside me were Rika and the fire foot guy.

What seems to be a never-ending empty desert, a large pillar came within our vision.

Finally, Cujo decided to stop directly under the ominous pillar. There were letters engraved in parts of it but I don't recognize any of it. It doesn't look like it belongs to the written language that I know of in this world.

I tried asking Subaru if he can understand what was written and all he said that only the strongest mage could comprehend what was written.

Cujo who is the strongest within this group was capable of reading what was engraved since something happened when he finished whatever he was murmuring.

"This would be the final part of today. If you can leave here alive, then I will welcome you as a scholar of Asmodai woof~"

As soon as he said that, black flames spurt out the ground and surrounded us. The only portion that wasn't covered by the mysterious black flames was the place we're standing at.

This situation seems to be more out of the ordinary since the two mages who were calm the whole time were also in fear when they saw the black flames.

Cujo doesn't care about our reactions and continued the instruction.

"As fire mages, you might recognize these flames before you. The only fire that could never be extinguished in this world, the Nirvana Flame...

So for your final test, the person who could escape this hellfire would be considered success woof~"

I, S'lva the newly appointed Demon Emperor for some reason, woke up in a different world. A world where the concept of Magic is a common thing and weapons are greatly disgraced. A Kindle Fire is actually a really great tablet. I owned "one" quite a few years ago and for some odd reason it always seemed to break whenever it was nearing the end of it's warranty. The warranty on it was for a year and each time it broke, they just sent a new one with a renewed warranty. They also always included a new charger. 

The name of the Kindle actually got updated each time it was replaced to (Name)'s 2nd/3rd/4th/... Kindel Fire.

I had mine 9 years ago, but I'd still consider it a good option. In the span of ~3/4 years I think I ended up on a 5th Kindle.

When the flash of light was gone Cole and Leo saw something amazing. Chloe's scratch marks were gone and she was no longer bleeding. But at the same time something bad happened Crystal was passed out on the floor. Cole and Leo ran up to crystal. They tryed waking her up. Chloe woke up and said " What happened?" Chloe then looked over to see Crystal passed out on the floor. Then Chloe noticed that her scratch marks were gone and she wasn't bleeding anymore. Chloe got up and walked over to crystal. Cole and Leo was worried they were scared because crystal was still passed out. Chloe picked up crystal and told Cole and Leo " Follow me to the medical den." They walked over to the medical den. Kindle the medical wolf said" what happened to her?" Chloe said " I don't quite know but I think the boys could explain." Cole and Leo told Kindle what happened. Kindle and Chloe was shocked to hear what happened. Kindle said " I don't know how to handle this but just let her rest she is probably very drained." Chloe Said " Thanks Kindle we will head back to our den Again thanks for the help."Then Chloe carried crystal back to the den and Cole,leo followed. When they were back at the den Chloe put crystal down to let her rest.Leo asked " mom is something wrong with crystal?" Chloe looked at Leo and said " No dear crystal is just drained from using all that energy to heal me now dear just lay down next to your sister and go to sleep." Leo and Cole layed next to crystal to keep her warm and cuddle up. Chloe was so scared because of the state Crystal was in. Out of no where Crystal began to glow and slowly lift up in the air. Chloe got up and tryed to grab Crystal but she got shocked. Chloe didn't know what to do in that moment. Chloe felt hopeless she was so concerned on what was going on with crystal.But when Chloe was watching Crystal float she noticed something off she couldn't believe it at all. Crystal was changing....

　　黄梦寒以前用过室友的kindle，在写论文的时候，需要查阅大量的文献，所以有一个长时间观看也不会伤眼的电子墨水屏的电子阅读设备，是很幸福的一件事情。
　　但是用kindle的时候，有一点快把黄梦寒烦死了，最后还是有用回了电脑。
　　黄梦寒收集到的有很多pdf人资料，放到kindle上面，需要几分钟才能同步过去，这还好。
　　但是在6英寸上面阅读pdf的体验实在是……一言难尽。
　　竖屏看，能把人的眼睛给瞅瞎，伤不伤眼不知道，肯定能锻炼视力，视力不好的都看不清楚那么小的文字，黄梦寒也是在那个时候才真正理解了一个成语的意思——蝇头小字。
　　那文字真的和苍蝇的脑袋似的，就那么一小点，几乎微不可查。
　　既然竖屏看有这个问题，那就横屏看吧。
　　横屏看文字倒是大了一些，但是有另一个问题也很烦人。
　　pdf的文档是一页一页的，横屏看的时候每屏显示的文字多余一页的三分之一，但是小于二分之一。
　　kindle上面的软件整的，一页需要点击三次，前两页还好，但是到了第三页，他最下面是当前页的最下面，最上面显示的文字不是第二页的最后，是第二页的中间的内容。
　　每次看到一页的最后一屏的时候，黄梦寒为了找到自己看到了哪里，都需要花费很长的时间去寻找，用户体验极差。
　　还不如我国的一个叫做多看的软件做的好，多看这个软件，他是粗粮公司开发的一个软件，可以在水果手机和安卓手机上面使用。
　　多看这个软件在手机上有连续观看的选项，开启之后就能在手机上面连续的看下一页，不会遇到kindle上面那种尴尬的问题，一页必须分三屏才可以。
　　另外他还可以，手动的拖动一点一点的向下滑，这在用了电子墨水屏幕的设备上是一种奢望，因为电子墨水屏的刷新率是一个很大的问题。
　　他上面还有裁减的功能，遇到影印版的pdf文献，甚至可以把边边角角裁掉只看最重要的一部分。
　　这样无形中就增大了屏幕的可使用的面积。
　　听说是有人把kindle越狱后能刷上这个系统。
　　但是毕竟不是原装的，刷上之后，设备死机的概率还有耗电率都明显的上升了。
　　显然第二智慧科技生产的这种叫做智慧电子阅读器的产品，考虑到了kindle上面的那种不合理的设计，根据这种新型屏幕的特点给出了两个解决方案。
　　和手机一样，第一就是可以连续翻页，第二就是可以手动一点点的滑动。
　　“没有数据线，如果我有一些资源，怎么传过来？”黄梦寒向店员询问。
　　“这个简单，你看到了首页的个人图书馆了吗？这里，对就是这里……”店员一边说一边给黄梦寒指出来在哪里进入个人图书馆。
　　“这里有两个，一个是云端的，一个是本地的。云端的图书馆顾名思义，这里面存放的书籍都是在大后端，而本地的就是从云端下载到本地的书籍。”
　　“至于怎么把书放到云端，有好几种方式可以进行，第一也可以利用想kindle那样类似的，用邮件推送的方式，把一个邮箱加入到信任邮箱列表，然后用这个邮箱向一个自定义的邮箱发带有附件的邮件就可以自动同步到云端，这样的速度是毫秒级别的，不想kindle那样，需要十多分钟。”
　　“第二种也是很常见的，就是公众号那样的，在深信上看到什么好的文章可以直接推送过来，不过我们做的更广泛一些，可以在深信上面也可以在球球上面，直接绑定了自己的账号，然后退送过去，当然了，时间也是毫秒级别的。”
　　“第三种，可以用球球账号，加一个固定的好友账号，然后把书籍或者其他附件直接发给他，发完之后，就可以在电子阅读器上的云端图书馆这里看到他的身影，只需要点击一下下载就能下载到本机。”
　　“第四种，如果你使用的是生物计算机，那么在里面的浏览器里面，通过简单的设置就能在右键菜单里面看到推送到电子阅读器的选项。”
　　“第五种，如果使用的是生物计算机，系统级别就支持推送到电子阅读器，如果你的这个账号注册过电子阅读器，右键点击电子阅读器可以识别的文件格式的文件时候，就会有一个选项是推送到电子阅读器上面，可以通过这样的方式来进行推送，当然了，如果你嫌这个菜单碍眼，可以通过简单的操作去掉的。”
　　“那这样的推送的方式还真是推陈出新了，没有想到第二智慧科技居然把一个简单的提送功能都玩出花来了。”黄梦寒对于这点还是给予了肯定。
　　“这些书城里面的书版权怎么说，如果购买的话怎么购买？”黄梦寒问了她关心的另一个问题。
　　“书的版权问题，你不用担心，这些全部是正版的，没有盗版，这些版权都是由我们的王路王总还有杨翰林杨总和很多家电子出版社共同讨论的结果。”
　　“购买的方式有两种，第一种就是单独购买，比如你就喜欢某一本书，那么你可以单独购买这个本书，电子书的价格比实体书的价格便宜很多，原因就是因为实体书需要印刷、装订、传输、放到实体店或者网点售卖，中间经过的环节太多了，每一个环节都是成本的增加。”
　　“第二种方式，也是现在有人正在尝试的模式，那就是包月或者包年的读书服务。这种方式非常简单，和现在很多的视频播放软件类似，通过冲会员的方式，可以观看付费的影片，这个服务就是那种意思，只要交钱，就能看一些付费的书籍。”
　　“第一种方式我懂，但是第二种方式我知道有一些弊端，比如kindle也有这个服务，他们的名字叫做 Kindle Unlimited。
　　但是上面有很多的书籍都没有加入到这个服务中，也就是我交钱了很多书籍仍然看不了，不知道你们对这个怎么看？”
