A few months in, I've gotten much better at taijutsu. Nothing extraordinary, but at least I don't drop like a log after coming home. Or that's what I want most people to think.
 Seeing children beat you at basic training is quite motivating, if not a bit petty. 
Hence, I have also started weight training like might guy. Okay, maybe not as intensive as him, but still, this has been very productive. I reckon if I removed my weights I would be the best at taijutsu in my entire class, maybe even the entire school.
I'm nowhere near the level of a chunin, but I'm better than the average genin. 
I have also had to have a talk with my parents. I don't want them worrying about the training I'm doing and also because I can't afford decent weights without their support.
After hours of convincing, debating and not a little bit of sobbing, they finally agreed to help me become a ninja. 
I guess it is hard for a parent to allow their only child to join a profession with the death rate of mayflies.
But I convinced them that I wouldn't join the military or anything of the sort. That I just wanted to be as good as my classmates and I just wanted to learn self defence.
The boy's that bullied me on the first day of school hadn't bothered me again, by virtue of being too busy with schoolwork. 
As I said earlier, the school in Yugakure was the best but also the most rigorous and comprehensive curriculum. 
This gave children virtually no time to waste on extra curriculars.
All in all, things were moving along just fine.
Until it was time for the seniors graduation exam. 
This was a whole event here. There were food carts, hawkers, vendors, you name it. It was almost like watching a football game live in the stadium.
It was also, the event that broke my delusions of grandeur. I was far from good at taijutsu. At least when compared to literal monsters and prodigies, the likes of which I witnessed this day.

I died choking on a big fat piece of cock (chicken nuggets) and was reborn in the Naruto world. Now I have to plan my life around monochrome plants, mad scientists, unstable immortals, emo fuckbois, genocidal aliens and worst of all an overly enthusiastic ultra nationalist annoying orange. Where is my system?? Where are my cheat superpowers?? Nooooooooo.........

ABOUT THIS BOOK :
I decided to write THE CEO & HIS MISTRESS (this wasn't the original title by the way) on a whim when I was binge reading smut mangas and thought 'why the heck are the plots always so ridiculous?' or 'why are the FLs always so dumb and the MLs such total jerks?'. The plot reasoning always defy logic and well...common sense. After a long day at work, I just want good smut with a decent, heartwarming plot. Is that too much to ask for? (☉_☉)
So, that's how this story came to life. I was highly inspired by the villain troupe and thought wouldn't it be nice to see things from the perspective of the 'bad guy' who really isn't bad at all? Of course, what I chose to write isn't dark in any sense - I admit it doesn't push the boundaries but while I love to read dark romances, as an indie author...it just isn't me.
I've been writing for my own self-gratification for years but thanks to Web Novel, I finally get a chance to publish it for real readers. It's much more motivating than writing it and then keeping it in my hard disk forever. There are only 2 stories I've completed since I started writing at 17. The rest are left unfinished (shame on me) due to my lack of motivation.  (¬‿¬)

Then P' Rom said, "The entire staffs have their own experience far from Director Nan's ability, but she manages to blend with them, trying to understand the whole concept or details. Aside from that, it's a fresh start for her and there's a lot of changes in the process. That's why this project she leads is interesting."
The interviewer is surprised by P'Rom's compliment for Nan. a few reporters are clapping after hearing what P'Rom's said. Nan is a bit touched she smiled and thanked P'Rom on stage. The other was laughing as if they were really understand what P'Rom said as "fresh".
The cast was so happy seeing Nan's action on stage. Then the reporters move to the main leads. They questioned Din's first since it was his first time on series after his series with Charm. Nan thought that the question that was thrown to Din was a bit cruel. Aside from basic or regular questions, the reporters are giving him a question that has more possibility for him to make mistakes while answering the questions.
"How did you feel casting in a straight series when your breakthrough drama is boys love?"
"What Charm thinks about you casting in straight series?"
"What kind of role did you play?"
"How are you feeling compared to your last series?"
Nan didn't like it but she was able to manage her facial expression. As if everyone was trying to take Din down. Nan wished he would be okay. There only questions that lead to his relationships, whether it leads to Charm or Nin, but it mostly about Charm. The purpose of the reporters is to make Din say what they want and make breaking news. Nan can see that Din is experienced in answering these questions. He didn't hesitate to answer and act naturally. 
As the Press conference on stage is done there are individual or exclusive interviews in front of a wall of fame. Nan is amazed at how big her series cover is imprinted on the wall and she can take pictures with the magnificent background. She feels proud of herself and it builds up her confidence. She is not afraid to be asked so many questions directly by reporters. Until one insulting question is thrown and it silences all the reporters around Nan. 
"How a director can be both pretty and successful. It is certainly everybody's dream to have a great appearance, smart, and successful. Can you tell us how you achieve it?" asked one of the reporters.
Nan didn't expect she would be asked the kinds of questions that are similar to questions that are recently given to Din. And actually, this question really does give Nan a pain in the ass and it gives interest to the other reporters that they waited for Nan to give her answer. The flashes and shutters sound suddenly got faster and more intense than before. It's the first time Nan felt great pressure from what she usually sees on TV while watching her favorite actors get interviewed. By those memories, she can clear her head and give an answer without telling what the reporter wants.
"I think hard work is not only about the study. In my case, it includes my appearance. I want to take care and appreciate what God has given to me, so I work hard to make myself prettier. As for the successful point is I don't know if I have reached the word "success", but I am happy with what I am now. It is not just because of me, but all people who helped and supported me also took a big part in the process." Nan said.
The reporter who threw the question looked annoyed and didn't like Nan's answer. As Nan took a glace, she ignored him after and carried on with other questions. Dozens of questions have been answered and Nan got back to the breakroom. 
Nan can breathe normally after she makes it to the breakroom. Her heart is still beating so fast because of her holding her nervousness. Outside the room was too crowded and it's a lot of pressure when she was in front of the camera. She realized that this is not an easy matter. In order to continue her life in this industry, she needs to get used to all of this. She looked into the mirror and clenched her fist. "You can do it, Nan! You can!" She said in front of the mirror with a determined face. 
And by the time Nin and Nam finish their interview and come into the break room while Nan is self-motivating in front of the camera. Seeing Nana doing it by chance, Nin and Nam burst into laughter and they closed the door. 
"Lol what are you doing, Nan?"
Nan is embarrassed and she said, "Just self-motivating." 
���Really? That's amazing! Haha" Nin is laughing at her again and Nam is still tickled remembering Nan's determined face.
"Oh, come to think of it! We should take a picture together!" Nam said.
Nan wondered why she asked for a selfie, "What? why?" asked Nan.
"Just a selfie for social media! It's useful for the series promotion too, come on!" Nam insisted.
Nin and Nan got closer to Nan and put her in between. Nam took the selfie and it was a good picture. They all look great. Nin and Nam planned to post it on their personal social media. They asked for Nan's to tag her in the picture.
Since they uploaded the picture Nan's followers have risen that it almost reached 10.000. Nan isn't used to this kind of thing. So, she decided to not use her social media for a moment until the whole event finished. 
No one knows about the question that has been thrown to Nan yet. Nan is personally okay with that since she already answers what she thought wouldn't give him the answer he wants. But, Nan actually gives the best answer to herself and her surroundings. It was good indeed. But, unfortunately, the media is horrific when the exaggerating card is played. As if someone is trying to play with Nan's career. There's is an article titled, 
"Director Nan's successful story is helped by her surroundings."
This ridiculous article is uploaded and it has gone viral. The title is not a clear statement yet it is ambiguous on a few sides. As if Nan can be here right now is only because of her surroundings, not her hard work. It is exactly the opposite of what she answered in the exclusive interview. Someone twisted her full explanation for an article and it makes Nan both sad and furious. Then, the news continued and worsened by the selfie she had with Nin and Nan. 
"The example of her surroundings," they say.
This was known the day before Nan's series got aired. She was frustrated with the bad comments and al. Her phone was ringing non-stop. She wants to cry at any moment at that time, but at the same time, she feels ashamed after all the confidence she had in the press conference. That is the reason why she did not want to meet anyone and lock herself up in her room.
Until someone is knocking at her door slowly. She cries so much, but when she knew it was Din who knocked on her door she opened it for him. Din comes in and hugs her as hard as he can so Nan can calm herself down and rest properly.
