When your a child, your mother shields your eyes when they think you might see something unpleasant. Although in many cases, some mothers can take this a step to far, and continue to criticize your adult decisions. Such as, in learning the reality of real world issues like capital punishment. In my case, it took learning about issues like capital punishment to truly understand the barbarity of state murder, despite the innate contradictory nature of my own sexuality. But sexuality is not something that you have to let control your life.

But there are also mothers that don't shield enough from the horrors of reality from their children: this is often the case when children are raised as orphans, such as in the case of Cosette in Les Miserables. Baring in mind that shielding a young person from worldly realities can server to further mentally scar someone when they do, finally, see one of their friends who is a murder, beheaded in public. The fact that the guillotine was moved in private, and eventually abolished (Albert Camus would be proud, he's the man) is not enough.

We must keep capital punishment from happening again.

That is the only way to protect the innocence of the young.

"It's already released." Liu Yao flirtatiously rolled her eyes and took a sip of tea. "Three days ago, I was still attending the premiere in Wanghai. According to the response from the theaters, the box office did quite well on the first day and was ranked first among the movies released in the same period.
