 Zheng instantly choked up. He couldn’t feel the killing intent from Jie anymore, the feeling Jie gave off was natural and cool, as if he could face death with a smile. In addition, that familiar cigarette scent made Zheng’s fist stopped in place.

 Jie took out a cigarette with his shaking hands. The blood on his fingers also got on the cigarette. He let go of it then it floated toward Zheng. “This taste can only be exchanged from God, you can’t buy it in any worlds.”

 The same words were also said when Zheng first entered this world. During Resident Evil when everyone was at risk of dying and getting infected, when they were hanging on together, Jie also handed him the same cigarette.

 Zheng grabbed the cigarette then lit it with his Red Flame. He took a deep smoke. As the burning entered his lungs, this was the taste of bros and comrades.

 “Everyone died in Nightmare on Elm Street, including me. Then I became this non human Guide. If it wasn’t for the unintentional creation of her, I probably didn’t have the courage to live anymore.”

 “Then one movie after another. Many newbies joined and fought. God noticed my abnormality as the leader and a Guide. He started to increase the difficulty our team has to fight against. Like Resident Evil was the difficulty of only several people but we barely made it out at the end. This doesn’t happen in other teams.”

 Zheng took a slow breath. He quietly gazed at the woman walking over to him. Her face was flowing with tears but she still looked so tender, peaceful, and a bit of happiness. She held Jie’s shaking hands into her hands.

 “Scientific movies are the easiest genre, followed by science fictions like Alien, then magic, then supernatural ghosts. The truly most difficult ones are wars in science fictions and unexplainable phenomenas. The Final Destination series belong to the unexplainable genre. Aside from genres, episodes of a series also determine its difficulty. Like Alien is easier than Aliens and Alien 3. Though there are some exceptions.”

 Jie’s voice was getting weaker. He took a smoke and said. “Sometimes accidents happen in a movie. God will randomly change the plot. When this happens, it is almost guaranteed to get wiped. Didn’t we encounter this in Alien? But you are lucky to unlock your constraint during that movie. That’s why we made it out.”

 Jie suddenly throw up a mouthful of blood with little pieces of organs. Nana took out a handkerchief and wiped his mouth. But the tears on her face couldn’t be stopped.

 “My existence is breaking God’s rules so a lot of times I am forced to take actions. You probably don’t know of this but people like you who could reached the second stage of the unlocked mode by yourself, God copies their genes into team Devil. You are also still improving so God doesn’t want anyone to hold you back. That’s why when Lan put you in danger during The Grudge, I was ordered to kill her.”

 Jie looked at Nana. He smiled and also held on her hands tight. “I was forced to do it that time but I am also not under God’s full control, so I sent you a message to save her. Then you encountered a team battle right after being aware of it. This shouldn’t have happened. Usually a team will go through several easy movies to earn points and rewards before encountering a team battle. So they can power up, especially for the unlocked members. But my existence made God continuously increase our difficulty. Furthermore, we are forced into the Final Destination series because I attacked the other team in the last movie. And we got straight into the second movie of the series. We would’ve probably wiped if we go through this like usual.”

 As Jie was speaking, an airplane was flying over this city. A bolt fell off from its engine, then another one.

 “Movies like this one usually end in a wipe. This is all I can do, bro. Take care.”

 Jie’s head fell into Nana’s arms. The cigarette on his hand slid off his fingers into the blood.

 “No!”

 Zheng shouted. He couldn’t keep his tears anymore but before he got close to Jie, he was pulled into the half awake state again. Though looking from him from the side would see him floated above the ground. Light particles emerged from Jie’s body and flowed into his, just like how it was when exchanging an enhancement.

 “Unlocking leader position for team China. Genetic constraint check. Second stage. Evolving by one stage. Current stage of the genetic constraint is stage 3. Fusion begins.”

 God’s voice was stern as usual. There was not a bit of emotion. But Zheng being in the half awake state couldn’t hear its voice.

 The engine of the airplane above began to smoke. The pilot attempted to control it but as the engine suddenly exploded, the plane went downward, straight toward the top of the television building!

 Zheng didn’t know anything happening outside. He was forced to float in place while the particles entered his body. Jie’s body was becoming translucent as more and more particles left him. Finally he was gone. Disappearing along with him was Nana. She held onto his hands with a smile until the last moment.

 Zheng could almost feel what’s happening. He wanted to say something but in the end he continued staying in the half awake state. But tears just couldn’t stop flowing out of his eyes. The cigarette on his hand had burned up to his fingers. Yet he still kept holding onto it.

 The plane was crashing down at increasing speed. The passengers inside were screaming, and some praying. Judging by this speed, Zheng wouldn’t be able to escape this attack from Death.

 “Fusion complete. Obtained leader position. Unlocked the third stage of the genetic constraint. Mission completed for team China.”

 God’s voice sounded right before the plane crashed into the building. Followed by an explosion.

 The same familiar half awake state. When Zheng finally opened his eyes, he was standing inside God’s dimension. The familiar sphere of light and darkness beyond the platform. The two girls were standing there, Heng and Honglu were lying on the ground. Jie and Nana finally disappeared.

 Zheng silently looked at the cigarette butt he was still holding and sighed. He put it into his pocket then began to organize the information that entered his head.

 The leader position wasn’t just a title. The leader could quickly search exchangeable items in the system. Like Heng had the elf bloodline then it would show him abilities, weapons, magic that were best for the bloodline. This could prevent them from wasting points and rewards. One of the benefits the leader brought to the team.

 Second, the leader had the power to know what movie was coming up next. Then they could prepare suitable weapons and study the plot in advance.

 Third, the leader had access to more information. Like Zheng just found out there were a total of 17 teams. Teams were separated into regions according the continents in ancient times. Team China contained the largest land and was also one of the biggest team. There were also two special teams. God copied the genes of players with potentials to form team Devil. This was supposedly the strongest team among all. This team was used to test what environment was more suitable for evolution.

 The other team was any time a person becomes a leader, God would ask if this person wanted to join this team. So it contained the strongest member from every team. Of course, some people would refuse to join. Every member in this team had entered the unlocked mode. The team was named team Celestial. It was also formed as a test for evolution.

 All the players were so minuscule in this world. They got toyed with like lab mice. Even the leaders were merely struggling to survive.

 Zheng touched his pocket, the one with the cigarette butt that Jie left him. Then God asked if he wished to join team Celestial.

 “I refuse.”

 P.S. Second stage is only one of the many reasons to get cloned into team Devil.

When you spend time with your friends, time passes quickly. Shradha felt that her 3 months vacation was well spent this time. Between her 2 part time jobs, endless supply of science fictions, online gaming and Nishant, she completely had no time to think of loneliness. They say empty mind is the devil's workshop. Shradha used to fill up the empty and lonely feeling in her life by parties, guys and other useless things. But she would always end up feeling more depressed in the end. Previous semester break was unbearable to Shradha because of all these things. But this time things were different; she had a friend who genuinely cared about her. She had a target to achieve and things to learn. After the serious discussion with NIshant on the other day, Shradha had started thinking about her future. In one of the sessions, she had discussed with Neeta about her confusions. Deciding to take control of your life is easier compared to figuring out answers to questions like 'how' and 'what'. 

"Having confusion about your future is natural. Some people figure it out in the early stages, while others take time to understand themselves and their priorities. It is perfectly fine to be in that state of mind. 'What do I want from life?' is not an easy question and hoping to find answers in a definitive period is stupidity. People spend a whole lifetime in finding answers and you are stressed here thinking that you don't know what to do in life. Give yourself a break and focus on finding out more about yourself; who is Shradha? what do YOU like to do when you are free? What interests you? What is boring? What is worth your time? Would you rather party or travel? Friends or family? Try to find answers for these questions and figure out your priorities. No one is holding knife under your throat for the answers; so take your own time and work in your own phase. Sometimes ignoring the roaring question in your head and focusing on other things can get you answers. So do that! Enjoy this college life. Believe me when I say this - this is the best phase in everyone's life. You have to live your fullest. This time will never come back." This is what Neeta had said. 

So Shradha had decided to understand herself better first and then try to find answers for other questions. She was going to read more, learn technologies sincerely, travel a little and of course spend time gaming. Although it started as a way of escaping reality, Shradha was realising that she really liked gaming and she did have the skills for online gaming. So second year of Engineering was going to be fun! 

While Shradha was feeling good about her summer, Nishant was listening to Sheela's endless lectures. Although he had a pretty good feeling about the vacation, Sheela was stressing out that time wasted in 2 months had to be compensated in the coming months. She wanted Nishant to join some technical courses during the holidays, but he had wasted his time running around with Shradha in the name of part time job. So Sheela used all possible ways to tell Nishant to focus on his studies once the semester started. She knew Nishant would not listen to her if she spoke about Shradha. So instead of saying bad things about their friendship, Sheela focused on Nishant's emotions and spoke about their dreams for him and how they would be heartbroken if Nishant fails to fulfill their wishes. This was indeed emotional blackmail and deep down Nishant knew what his mother was trying to do. But his attachment towards them and his fear of disappointing them was stronger than all other emotions.

‘Agar Tum Saath Ho’ means ‘If you are with me’ in Hindi. These simple words could explain how shradha felt about Nishant. He was her sole source of energy; He was the only person who could sense her emotional distress and calm her down easily. He was her best friend, her guide, and also whoever she wanted him to be. To Nishant, Shradha was like a breath of fresh air. She always pushed him beyond his comfort level and helped him rediscover himself. She was his strength and also his weakness. 

Shradha was the girl who was considered as ‘bad influence’, while Nishant was the ‘good guy’, who was role model to many students and even parents. They had nothing in common except for the fact that both of them were lonely and maybe a little broken. 

Nishant and Shradha came together by coincidence. Their relationship started with simple friendship, which slowly grew into strong bond. He could show his silliness only in front of her while she could afford to show her real self only to him. Despite constant opposition from their family, Shradha and Nishant had continued to be ‘best friends’ and nothing else. 
They were each others ‘first’ in many things and even when the whole world could see how they were already in relationship, Nishant and Shradha could not see the obvious.
When they finally realized they have been in love the whole time, all it took was changing the status on social media.

11. Paradoxes

Paradoxes are the creepy creatures of Darkstorm when using his darkest aura's spirit. Through his shadows and others he brought into life creatures who seems an un figured terrifying creatures who he named them Paradoxes bringing them into existence, they were urged and killed many people who Darkstorm is targeted to kill. All that people feel was paradox of fiction, meaning fictitious that people believed in supernatural being existing or having false faith in some witchcraft activities(Superstitious belief) and potency of the gods, taboos and others.

The cropped off half of centuries with the commands of the their lord Darkstorm whom the believe in without any acquittance, and grievances. 

They feared in him and even stammered when talking to him even expressing their concern to him, they always respect his opinion whether good or bad their obeyed and do as he told them to do all they say to respond his speech is"y...y....yes. with full of stuttered.

They even get screwed up to his mood there, therefore they killed wealthy ones, poor ones, extravagant's and obnoxious ones.

Apiyo Iwu is an African who reside in Kenya was a programmist full of knowledge a course of 320 routes his reached shown him Darkstorm in the olden days when he crossed on his desk he worked and trained many students at the faculty of applied scientist.

His experimentation and observations concluded to him creatures from archaics posted to modern. He confronted the government but nothing was done about it he later tried to avoid the time traveling of the creatures by sending highlighting a warning messages to NASA.

Darkstorm aura's revealed his time looping exploration been exploited by an African. 

with that, Darkstorm send of his creatures to Kenya to kill the programmer before he alerts NASA about the Darkstorm time traveling invasions.

When the entered Kenya it took them four month for them to killed Apiyo Iwu by laying ambush for him. They torn his skin apart for no one to see his stature.
NASA responded to the sender messages later finding the messages the user and the message was send into blind carbon copy thus the creatures synched the sender emails for the police to get any clue of Darkstorm.

When the message was synched the Kenya polices investigation was poor to find out what soft kills Apiyo Iwu the case was handled to Nkruma Ademola a female detective whose origin is from Ghana but was giving birth in Kenya and was naturalize through marriage naturalization to inquire ascertain facts and information. The end of the befalled, the was no clue to the death of Apiyo Iwu.

His heart and mind were a jumbled mess. Johan didn't know what's the deal with Russell; what his motives were, and why he kept getting on his nerves.  
Okay, maybe he annoyed Russell purposely during Eskrima practice to relieve his boredom. But he never acted in a way that would come across as provocative and sexually suggestive like what Russell was doing.

He was not stupid. Johan had seen other teenagers picked on potentially queer people in school. The culture was quite different, and they were more lenient towards gay people - to the out-and-proud and flamboyant ones, at least.
Despite that, the humiliation from catcalling and funny stares as if he was a future comedian in sparkly outfit was not something he would want to experience. He'd rather receive a punch in the face, so he can have a reason to smash the living daylights out of anyone who dared to do so.
So far, Russell had done none of those things. But he'd been acting differently these days. It's as if he was setting a trap for him to reveal the attraction he's having towards the same sex, something he wouldn't admit, yet.
Sat on the bed with a book in his hands, Johan's back erected as the door opened and emerged a fresh from the bath Russell with only a towel wrapped around his waist. He glued his eyes to the page and fought the urge to stare at Russell's quite lanky but well-developed body. As expected from someone practicing martial arts.
An impish smirk played on Russell's lips as he sat at the edge of the bed, his back facing Johan while putting on his favorite graphic boxers. Then he pulled off the mint-colored towel and used it to dry his hair.
It's an Ironman theme this time.
'I said eyes on the page, damn it!'
Johan slammed the book shut and crawled out of bed. With what transpired two nights ago, he just had to put distance between them. The memory of Russell embracing him in his sleep caused him to palpitate.  
And their almost kiss...
Johan walked out of his room and blamed everything on hormones. It sucked to be a growing adolescent. His frustration grew as days passed by with Russell flaunting his body around his room like freaking exhibitionist, and Johan has had enough of the unwarranted seduction.
It needed to stop. He had to do something about it.

"Grandpa, can I stay at Raymond's place this weekend?" Johan asked over dinner on a Friday night. He chewed on a season cubed potato and pork, swallowing his food before giving more details. "We're doing a group study. After Eskrima practice, of course."
Don Juanico hummed in consideration, putting down his silverwares. "I supposed that's okay. But isn't Raymond a year below than you?"
Well, fuck. Johan reached for his glass and drank the iced water. "Yeah, but he's really smart. He always placed first or second in class, you know? Ray could have been my classmate if only he's not born in June."
"You two sure have gotten close. Are you tutoring him?" his grandfather asked.
Russell gave a snort. "It's ridiculous that you're tutoring someone smarter than you. Instead of wasting time on someone who doesn't need your help, why don't you just focus on yourself so you can become the top of your class?"
"My grades are passing. That's more than enough."
"You're failing at Advanced Algebra and Geometry. I know because I'm the one helping Mr. Bustamante to check the lower years' quizes and test papers."
Johan glared across the dining table at Russell's victorious smirk. Fucking teacher's pet. He scoffed, looking away with a grumble. "It's not like I need Algebra in buying groceries. I know basic math. That's enough to get me by."
"You're stupid if you think algebra can't be applied in everyday life."
"Well-!"
"I've seen you read a lot of science books. Physical and chemical science uses algebraic equations just so you know."
"Then-!"
"And so is art and computer science," Russell said, listing things he'd taken interest as of late. "If you want to pursue any career in those fields, you'll gonna need to understand how algebra works. If your brain can't even handle that, how can you handle Calculus once you started college?"
Johan wanted to flip the table because he's so done with Russell and Mathematics. Honestly, fuck them both. He's not going to college. Johan gritted his teeth in annoyance.
"How about you tutor them instead, Rus?" Mylene suggested, clearly impressed. "I'm sure Johan would learn a lot from you. What do you say?"
Russell shrugged. "I don't mind. But only if he's okay with it. I don't want to waste time teaching someone who's not even eager to learn."
"No thanks," Johan said, not giving it a second thought. "I'd rather fail the subject than have him tutor me."
"Johan," Ivan interjected beside him in a warning tone. "What's with your way of thinking? You'd rather fail? Really? Is that how you'd respond to someone trying to help you in areas where you are lacking? The more you grow, the more insolent you're becoming."
"Wait, why is it my fault?" Johan faked an offended gasp at his father's words, putting a hand to his chest as if his scolding deeply hurt him. "When you failed at parenting one-o-one, did you hear anything from me? I was sure I remember keeping my mouth shut despite your years of obvious negligence."
"You fucking-!"
"Ivan."
His father's hand froze in the air at Don Juanico's voice, saving Johan from getting a slap. Tension grew in the dining table once again, and Mylene stood from her chair to rub Ivan's back, trying to pacify his labored breathing.
"Johan, that was just a suggestion," Mylene said.
"Well, I never ask for your opinion," Johan replied, putting down his utensils. He stood, no longer had the appetite to continue. "As a matter of fact, I only remembered talking nicely to my grandfather until you and your brother butted in as if your input is needed-"
"Ivan!"
He didn't get to finish his sentence as his father lost his remaining self-control and struck him in the face. The world spun. Johan fought hard to regain his balance while cupping his face. A hand grabbed his waist to stabilize him, but he pushed Russell away and glared.
"Johan-"
"This wouldn't have happened if you just kept your mouth shut. You and your sister had brought nothing to my life but trouble."
"We're just trying to help," Russell said.
Johan gave a humorless laugh. "Well, thank you for helping me get a bitch slap. That was fucking fantastic!"
"This wouldn't have happened if you just accepted that my sister is already a part of your family."
"This family would have been great if it weren't for you two." Johan roamed his gaze to their faces; from Russell to his grandfather, then to Mylene and Ivan. He let his eyes lingered to his father longer. "Stop trying to fit me into this made-up family because it's just not working. If you still insist, then fine, but keep me out of it. Have a good night. I'm done here."
Johan hurried to his bedroom, grabbed a bag, and started stuffing clothes in it. The corner of his mouth stung, and his ear still rang from the impact of his father's slap, but he got what he needed: a reason to leave. Still, he couldn't stop the tears that dribbled down to his cheeks.
The door to his room creaked open as Russell stepped inside. "Johan."
"Congrats. You can finally have this room to yourself."
Russell grabbed his wrists, stopping him from packing his things. "Stop that. You think you can make it on your own?"
"Doesn't matter. I'll find a way. I can just go to Raymond's place just like I did before."
  "Don't be absurd. You think they will help you?"
"Yes!" Johan ripped his arms off of Russell's grasp. "They will. I know them. They're kind to me. And Raymond's my best friend, so he'll-"
"So you're going to crash to their place and live like a parasite? Yes, they're kind to you. So what? You'll just invite yourself there and become their liability? Another mouth to feed when they're already struggling enough? Did you ever think about that? Stop doing rash decisions and think things through before you act!"
Johan fell silent. As much as he hated to admit it, Russell had a point. A defeated sigh escaped his lips as he plopped down on the bed. "What should I do then? I don't want to be here anymore."
"I don't know," Russell said, looking away. "Finish school, I guess. Plan it carefully if you wanted to leave that much."
The gears of his mind started shifting, concocting ideas on how to get away in the most efficient way. Johan found himself reaching for Russell's hand, surprising the older boy. "Would you... help me then?"
