I ... wanted science fiction to be more naturalistic. There had been a poverty of description in much of it. The technology depicted was so slick and clean that it was practically invisible. What would any given SF favorite look like if we could crank up the resolution? As it was then, much of it was like video games before the invention of fractal dirt. I wanted to see dirt in the corners.
In science fiction, we dream. In order to colonize in space, to rebuild our cities, which are so far out of whack, to tackle any number of problems, we must imagine the future, including the new technologies that are required.
It's not speculation, it's true! Mobile phones, laptops, tablets, the Internet, all were predicted and dreamed up in science fiction first. Science fiction writers speculate when they write. I don't just make random things up. I consider the world around me. I live in it. I experience it. I love it. I hate it. I worry about it. Then I imagine what's to come.

The power of science fiction, and what's positive about it, is that you're able to experience the worst-case scenario without actually having to live it.

Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

The end of the 20th century proved a difficult period for Russian literature, with relatively few distinct voices. Although the censorship was lifted and writers could now freely express their thoughts, the political and economic chaos of the 1990s affected the book market and literature heavily. The book printing industry descended into crisis, the number of printed book copies dropped several times in comparison to Soviet era, and it took about a decade to revive.

Among the most discussed authors of this period were Victor Pelevin, who gained popularity with first short stories and then novels, novelist and playwright Vladimir Sorokin, and the poet Dmitry Prigov. A relatively new trend in Russian literature is that female short story writers Tatyana Tolstaya or Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, and novelists Lyudmila Ulitskaya or Dina Rubina have come into prominence. The tradition of the classic Russian novel continues with such authors as Mikhail Shishkin and Vasily Aksyonov.

Detective stories and thrillers have proven a very successful genre of new Russian literature: in the 1990s serial detective novels by Alexandra Marinina, Polina Dashkova and Darya Dontsovawere published in millions of copies. In the next decade Boris Akunin who wrote more sophisticated popular fiction, e.g. a series of novels about the 19th century sleuth Erast Fandorin, was eagerly read across the country.

Science fiction was always well selling, albeit second to fantasy, that was relatively new to Russian readers. These genres boomed in the late 1990s, with authors like Sergey Lukyanenko, Nick Perumov, Maria Semenova, Vera Kamsha, Alexey Pekhov, Anton Vilgotskyand Vadim Panov. A good share of modern Russian science fiction and fantasy is written in Ukraine, especially in Kharkiv,[20] home to H. L. Oldie, Alexander Zorich, Yuri Nikitin and Andrey Valentinov. Many others hail from Kiev, including Marina and Sergey Dyachenkoand Vladimir Arenev. Significant contribution to Russian horror literature has been done by Ukrainians Andrey Dashkov and Alexander Vargo.

Russian poetry of that period produced a number of avant-garde greats. The members of the Lianosovo group of poets, notably Genrikh Sapgir, Igor Kholin and Vsevolod Nekrasov, who previously chose to refrain from publication in Soviet periodicals, became very influential, especially in Moscow, and the same goes for another masterful experimental poet, Gennady Aigi. Also popular were poets following some other poetic trends, e.g. Vladimir Aristov and Ivan Zhdanov from Poetry Club and Konstantin Kedrov and Elena Katsuba from DOOS, who all used complex metaphors which they called meta-metaphors. In St. Petersburg, members of New Leningrad Poetry School that included not only the famous Joseph Brodsky but also Victor Krivulin, Sergey Stratanovsky and Elena Shvarts, were prominent first in the Soviet-times underground - and later in mainstream poetry.

Some other poets, e.g. Sergey Gandlevsky and Dmitry Vodennikov, gained popularity by writing in a retro style, which reflected the sliding of newly-written Russian poetry into being consciously imitative of the patterns and forms developed as early as in the 19th century.

Future Technology's allure was indeed unprecedented. The company received 170281 scripts which were equivalent to the listings on some web novel sites.
Of course, it wasn't just Future Technology's name - the one million in prizes also played a role.
The massive number of documents meant it was impossible to manually complete the review process. It was time for Jiang Chen's "assistant".
For Jean, there was no inherent difference between 170281 and 1782. The computation speed of the quantum computer could read through billions of words in an instant.
The only problematic thing was that because she was just intermediate artificial intelligence, while she had the ability to think, she didn't possess any human emotions.
Without emotions, she obviously wouldn't understand the beauty hidden inside the words and it would be impossible for her to rate the submissions. She could only filter the text based on the settings Jiang Chen set.
Anything less than 100 thousand words were eliminated. It was too difficult to rewrite that into a script with a plot that could fill a three-hour film.
Works over one million words were also removed. He was planning to make a movie, not a drama series.
Works with more than 50 grammatical errors, awkward logic, and obvious plot holes were among the factors considered; only a few thousand works remained after that. Of course, there might've been gold dusted out along with the sand, but the quality of the remaining works would definitely be of higher quality.
The first round of selections took five seconds, but the second round took two weeks!
With Nolan's lead, Warner Brothers employees began to manually review the English. Chinese works were the responsibility of Future Group.
In order to be fair and open, Warner Brothers invited the World Science Fiction Association, which was the sponsor of the Hugo Awards, to participate in the selection process. Of course, the opinions of the judges were only for reference and did not have a direct impact on the results of the selection process.
After two weeks of selection.
Finally, after much anticipation, Future Technology and Warner Brothers jointly announced their winners on the official website. All winners would be reimbursed for their airfare expenses to attend a grand award ceremony on Coro Island and sign with Future Technology.
At the end of the ceremony, Jiang Chen went to see Nolan.
A total of ten works were selected, but they still needed to discuss to select the top work.
The entire event costed a total of 15 million US dollar to select the right screenplay. Future Technology's willingness to invest certainly made Mr. Nolan feel immense pressure. When they met, he said:
"If we were just trying to create hype, didn't we invest too much?"
"But from the results, our reward is satisfying, isn't it?" Jiang Chen smiled.
Nolan revealed a helpless expression. "I can't disagree on that point, and on that point alone."
In all the works submitted to Future Technology, there were pieces of some emerging writers as well as some novels that had been popular for a long time and had a high demand for an adaptation. Obviously, it wasn't only fans of science fiction films but science fiction writers' enthusiasm for this open contest was also frivolous.
As they went through the list from the top, Jiang Chen exchanged opinions with Nolan, one by one.
"What about 'Civilization' by Ian M. Banks? The most famous space opera science fiction in the 1980s."
"It's too difficult to adapt a series of novels." Nolan shrugged bluntly.
"Then what about the 'Dust in God's Eyes'? Larry Neven's story of the first contact between humans and extraterrestrial intelligent creatures is very interesting. The expedition team, composed of naval officers and soldiers, and businessmen and scientists, was also exciting. Their approach of: 'In the case of contact with nonhuman intelligent creatures, we must assume the other side is hostile' is also quite interesting."
"That book is on my shortlist." Nolan laughed.
"Haha, can you tell me about the lucky ones on your list?"
"In addition to this, there's 'the Fire on the Abyss.' I used to discuss the possibility of adapting this science fiction masterpiece with my younger brother Jonathan, but we finally decided we couldn't film this.
"Not possible to do it?"
"That's right. The scale of the universe described in this book is too great. Three worlds and countless races - even Industrial Light and Magic can't recreate the essence of this work." Nolan looked at Jiang with eyes full of hope. "Could Virtual Image's VR imaging technology do it?"
When Jiang Chen heard Nolan's question, his mouth twitched.
"There's no problem in theory, but three worlds ... the production cycle is probably going to be quite long."
Nolan also knew his proposal was impossible, so he sighed.
"That's really a pity ..."
But when he went down the list, he stumbled on an unfamiliar name.
"'Time Curtain' - what's this?"
"Oh, this, ah, I was planning to recommend this to you," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
"Author ... Li Ming?" Christopher furrowed his brows as he had never heard of the name.
Although the works weren't rigidly attached to the authors'names, since he never heard this name before, he instinctively donned his tinted glasses.
However, Jiang Chen didn't mind and began to introduce the plot. 
"This book is on my list of candidates. Although the writing and character shaping aren't as carefully crafted, the depth of thought is unexpectedly at a masters level, and the point of view is also very fascinating. In 2070, the world's climate is no longer suitable for human survival, nor is the world's space weather. The International Astronautics Federation launched a colonization ship called 'Borderlands,' heading for Kepler 22b 600 lightyears away."
"Because of the slow effects of the speed of light, when the Borderlands arrived on Kepler 22b, tens of thousands of years had passed since they left. When they entered this alien land, they discovered the ruins of human civilization and alien species. Evidence suggested that a second colonization ship was launched by the International Astronautic Federation a year after 2070. They just didn't know why they were ahead on the time scale and had long disappeared."
"The extraterrestrial civilization on the planet was still in its infancy, but whether it was indigenous peoples who were enlightened by the remnants of human civilization or those who came from earth themselves wasn't known. What was even more interesting are the later stories. The conflicts and suspense are carefully orchestrated. I won't spoil things for you; you should read it yourself."
"Just from your description, this story is certainly interesting. But how did you pick this book out of so many works?" Nolan asked.
"I didn't choose this, but my assistant recommended it to me," Jiang replied.
This confused Jiang Chen the most.
What logic did Jean, without a concept of emotion or aesthetics, use to recommend him this piece? Jiang Chen asked Jean before, but Jean couldn't answer the question. She only used a vague and humane way to respond to the question: "Because it's interesting?"
Although the theme was impressive, it wasn't stellar by definition. The concept of time wasn't a novel concept in the sci-fi world. While the topic escalated to a discussion of civilization, this point didn't add too much complexity.
But after reading the work, Jiang Chen had to admit that Jean didn't lie to him; the work was indeed fascinating.
"It's too early to make a decision. I'll go back, read this book and I'll give you a reply tomorrow." Then Nolan stood up and looked at Jiang Chen.
"I'm looking forward to your good news." Jiang Chen smiled.
Nolan raised his eyebrows and jokingly whispered.
"I've always been picky with the script."
"Believe me, you'll love it."


After the nuclear war, ruins stretch across the landscape in the apocalypse.
If you accidentally survived on the wasteland, then you must be ready to face the endless hunger, ceaseless dangers, the mad zombies at night, and the peculiar mutant creatures that are the aftermath of constant radiation.
But for Jiang Chen, this place is heaven.
Mansions standing tall, luxurious cars parked on the street, high tech products and gold abandoned everywhere.
What? You were the president of a game development company before the war? You were responsible for the development of the 3D virtual reality online multiplayer game? Well, that’s great, why don’t you come work for me. Your salary is two pieces of bread a day.
iPhone? Ultra thin design? Don’t you see that the phone I invented is thinner than a condom?
Aircraft carrier? Fighter jets? Oh, I have those things as well, but they are designed for space combat.
Watch the story of Jiang Chen, who possesses the ability to travel through space and time, as he witnesses the creation of an empire stretched across space and time... 


I myself wrote a couple of stories. But while I am not a writer and not a novelist, but simply a techie, the author. We authors differ from writers in that they write and know the details of the literary work. They can pick up beautiful words, forms, they know all sorts of text composition, but most of them do not have interesting topics! The content does not cling. There are novelists they can write an excellent story, one, two, three ... and that's it. But these three stories are world-class masterpieces. Like "The Hobbit back and forth", "The Wizard of Earthsea", "Rokkokon", "The Young Years of Henry 4", "The Time Awaits", "Colla Brignon", "Chesterfield Letters to Son", "Cheerful", "Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Hekel Berefin, "Kings and Cabbage", "12 night", "Magic whip", etc.

But other works by these authors are already a class below.

No, we are authors, not like that. We write about what we think and see. Sometimes we do not have such beautiful forms of the text, sometimes the grammar is limping and syntax. But we are read. There is a circle of readers, 80-100 people. And why? And because the content is interesting, that the information obtained can be useful in everyday, everyday life.

But it was all a seed to the main idea. The authors sometimes start the text, the story they have their own thoughts, their ideas, the story itself is interesting, but it has its limits of beginning and end. Chapters 50-90 ... and when the story lasts 300 or even 1200 chapters sometimes 2500 ... then the meaning of the story somewhere in chapter 100 is lost ... the original ... a new look comes in ... the story changes. .. and you need to finish the story ...

When the author has no ideas left, he simply begins to "merge" the story. Simple techniques are used: ... 10 years have passed in science fiction novels, 100,000 years have passed ... (interesting, and people live so much?) ... 100 million years have passed (yeah, sometimes the planet will not be able to exist so much) .. or suddenly a literary hero moves from the Earth to no one knows where, to a planet of another galaxy ... from a 3-dimensional space to an idiotic 5-dimensional! Although, logically, it is not there, only science fiction writers will not invent the night ...

What we see is a lot of novels from writers but they end up somehow crumpled up ... an interesting story in the beginning and in the middle at the end turns into an uninteresting dull shit ... why? Because the writer did not stop in time! He needed numbers in 1,000,000 words ... and the novel itself would have been great if they had written 300,000 words, it would have been good if they had written 400,000 words, an average of 450,000 words ... and then the quality would fall.

It's impossible to endlessly drag the main character from the lower world to the middle one, and then to the high, super high, super high, super duper high, heavenly 1 level, then 2 levels and so on to 1,000,000 levels.

The image as the protagonist of a weak person becomes the strongest in his world, and then going to a higher world again becomes a weakling ... making efforts again becomes the strongest and so many times. It annoys you. Fills the edge.

As well as the constant appearance of new and new difficulties, new villains ...

It becomes like a conveyor, a boring one.

Entering into the history of romance and then tragedy ... as Renoir spoke a famous French artist in the world and so full of all sorts of horrors I don't want to draw it in the world invented by me ...

It is clear that the reader is more imbued with history. Needs emotions both positive and negative ...

In general, at the end of many fascinating novels, in the mainstream style, with an interesting and original plot, because of the large volume of words, the ending becomes like a carbon copy. Cliches on the cliche, as if all writers want to enter one format, standard, punched ending, stamp, stereotype, template, it's easier to say just a stencil ...

Maybe you need to have a sense of proportion ...

For example, the story of the magic coin ... can be extended to 90 chapters and may end by 56 ... because its main task was the prologue to the story of the Magic Farmer and the novel about merchants and clans as additional descriptions to the world of the Magic Farmer ... but then, the novel merchant got his own separate life. And the prologue ... there is a lot of historical information about clothes of that time, food, weapons, roads, goods, political intrigues ... but it's difficult to translate them into textual or more literary form. Therefore, the chapter there go not as often as intended before.

With the magic farm, everything is going easy, because the topic is close, there is a practical experience in the garden, on the farm, on the market .... occupation of agribusiness, electronic cartography, historical research, expeditionary work ...

Therefore, the ending of the story will be smooth and not merged ... and there may be quite 300 chapters and easily 1500 ...

I find it difficult to focus on things I remember.

Unlike some people, I cannot write on the flip of a switch. There was a time when I wished I could get a typewriter, but with family as they are, sometimes it's easy to have a holiday where they only think of gifts for other people and not you. Likewise, I never give them any gifts, and outright skip them. But what kills the most is how much ink gets wasting for things that are essentially random scribbling. As if somehow random scribbling were worth more than prose. It's the little things like this, intentionally or not, that are the most insulting. And if you complain, than other people do not let you have any words.

Some people use formal language to communicate what other "lesser mortals" are able to say in less kind words, of which I wont repeat. But the gist is usually some rambling about economics, something related to communism. A university professor, to think that someone like that would lower themselves to uploading videos on youtube. Au contraire, for those who belong to sub cultures I generally associate, more often we use federated video uploading and file sharing: usually about anarchism. I communicate this story without indention, for indention is only useful if I wish to go into print. You pay the cost of a print run, for books that may never sell.

But for me, it's not the desire to sell that motivates me. I've never considered myself someone motivated by money. People say that self-published books are easier to sell in genre fiction, and yet in my own experience, it's far more common for literary fiction writers to be in the position, where they would have to self-publish their books to go anywhere. For me, it's a bit like trying to make a profit out of something little more than your blog. Which somehow feels extremely dirty to me. My mind is so often filled with noise to today, it's difficult to automatically write like I used to.

Even now, as I listen to the flow of rain drops outside the window, the reality of my dryness breaks the illusion: as much as it sounds like rain, the reality is it merely comes from my computer. To make matters worse, I have family that--and sometimes I wonder if it's even that--that in the most well meaning way possible, suggest that my work will never sell if I write anything that isn't about a specific topic. This comes despite the fact that that's quite literally the point of literary fiction.

Sometimes I wish I could melt away with the wind, and become a collection of music notes that fill the sky.

But I'm just some disillusioned speculative fiction writer. Science fiction writers have cool gadgets, other ones have cool societies. Yet for me there is nothing traditionally exciting about the human experience. But my goal is to highlight societal truths, not necessarily entertain you. If a book is the story about being a human being, trying to force it down a garden path of a seven point structure always struck me as largely pointless. As there is so many different ways to play the same piano note.

Even if it's not a song, of a sunken boat.


Sometimes you'll meet people that you're surprised they survived as long as they did, even if that person is strictly imaginary: last night I had a dream I was walking through a butchering room, ran by human female slaves. The slaves would help the main guy take girls out of the prison, who are hung up from chains by their wrists and ankles. They would be butchered on butcher block tables, their severed heads and limbs scattered all over the floor. The man would sometimes cook and eat these prisoners. But usually preferred to feed the remains to his dog, but would pretend to eat them. Then wretch them up when the man was not looking. When the man spotted me, he tried to have me captured. But instead he cornered me on his back porch.

I notice that it wasn't a stuffed tiger on the stairs, but an actual tiger painted to look like a stuffed animal. When I turned around, the man was not there, but only his dog.

-- No wonder you're able to survive eating humans, if you ate humans every day as a human, then you're body will eventually reject the things you've eaten, and begin falling apart.

The door swung open, it was a gaggle of girls. Some slightly wounded. The main slave girl held onto the guy's severed head and tossed it to the tiger. The tiger chased after the severed head, and for the most people could finally have a hope of not being butchered someday.

Usually dreams are not usually so violent.  They say that dreams are usually caused by stress.

But so often dreams are so realistic, including the segment where I was walking through a grocery store, and was struggling to find the right box of cereal. Eventually I had to settle for generic HC, and thus my craving for that honey could finally be satisfied, until the next time I went shopping. And then it was a slow ride home, where I could listen to the sound of rain, as it poured outside against the window.

At home, when I wake up, there is only my kitty cat.

Who wants my black beans. Carefully I move my chair so they can't go onto my dining room table. But this doesn't stop them from trying, while I make my morning coffee.

After the morning routine, I drew some comic sketches for some new light novels. Although some of the designs have me a little bit worried, as my goal is to communicate a Cyberpunk setting, and not a children's book. If I were drawing a children's book, it be one thing. But a bit different if the book is about young teenagers living the life as adults. I had once wanted to be a children's writers, but this never worked out quite like a hoped. So I'm attempting to write science fiction, under the idea that this itself may also not work out so well. And I'm stuck with a diary I don't know how to market.


I'm not an interesting person: I have almost nothing going for me; when you attempt to kill yourself three different times, it immediately becomes apparent how little society really cares about you. That may sound cynical, but it's the truth. I don't mean to sound so frank, but when you've been kidnapped once, and have about a grand robbed from you, and you're sexually assaulted every day for about a year, and certain contemporary hash tags on social media aren't what they turned out to be, the only apparent reality is one where people only think of them self.

That doesn't mean there aren't some people that do good things, but there is usually some financial string attached; as the only person in the world that puts politics aside for sake of human decency, I don't entirely understand how other people view the world differently. I used to be a computer programmer, but got tired of how men in the business treated trans women, especially on older federated social media networks. In Church, it's Give Us Our Daily Bread. In the church of a Diaspora, it's give us our daily wank.

It seems like every time you succeed in something, there is always somebody there to try to take you down a notch; it doesn't matter what it is, it could be finding a new girlfriend, or finishing a new book. One of the reasons I left centralized social media, is that it always felt like every one of my actions was being watched. Having some people approve of your actions doesn't make things any better; what if you decided to change your mind later, or completely stop using the site altogether. You being the sole exception in a group that hates your political views. This is my experience, being social most people would consider socialist. The term is constantly degraded, because of people that don't really understand what the word means.

I can't even write Cyberpunk fiction, because--although topically I've never had much in common with him anyway--that the main godfather of that genre of fiction, although not an optimist, is at most a realistic often makes me feel like somehow my experience is invalid. Combine this with the fact that even in comics, one of the groups I've considered my lifeblood, decided to completely disown me merely for the fact that I comment on creator-ownership, or happen to dislike mainstream comic companies. Don't ever let anyone try to convince you of anything else...

Set in the fictional Tennessean city of Chatlanta, where virtual reality is being newly developed, and the line between dreams and reality blur. A writer who has a hard time finishing a story, is in search for love.

The playful hacker accidentally courts an assassin/spy for a rival US micro-nation, and decides to rebuild her dead acquaintance to give her a second chance. Interspersed are dreams about being hunted by cannibalistic serial killers, and essays about the nature of the game-design industry.

Q: How long have you been writing?
A: About 10 years now, I started by winning scholarships in grade school doing reports and scholarly papers but went into fiction after reading books like Harry Potter, Warrior Cats, and The Hunter.

Q: Why did you start writing fiction?
A: Believe it or not, I actually disliked fiction books for a while because I was told by my mentor that imagination makes for unrealistic judgment. However, after reading a colleague's science fiction, and their portrayal of the world around them I enjoyed what they did and wanted to make a world for myself!

Q: Any reason you decided to go for Knights specifically in your book?
A: Because the Knight-class is underrated in my opinion. Everyone wants to be fast archers, dual-wielding swordsmen, beast-tamers, mages, healers, etc. but never Knights! Also, in most Isekai books, manga, and anime they mainly cover roles that triumph via magic and sorcery. But it's well-known in most RPGs that knights and paladins have the least magic proficiency, making them less common to use and harder to master. Knights have to focus on technique, physical prowess, and intellect to overcome an opponent—which in Momoko's words is "badass."
P.S. Not throwing shade at other roles, Knights are just my particular favorite :)

Q: How did you envision Momoko and the other characters in your book?
A: References, references, references. Most, if not all, of my characters, are references from a friend, family member, and even my pets! In my opinion, as a writer, if you've been with a person long enough and envision them as a character it's easier as you know what they'd most likely do and not do. I also wanted them to be relatable and genuine. That's why I LOVE Isekais like Konosuba that incorporate comedy into the story—because realistically anyone that teleports to a new world is going to be a bit rough around the edges. No one wants a stern tough guy who has an ego or vendetta, it's kind of boring and outplayed.

Q: How long does it take to write a chapter? Do you have a scheduled writing regiment?
A: I'm big on planning. A lot of the arcs are already planned out and all I need to do is put them on paper. Most of my writing is 1k-2k words and I type at around 83 wpm...so if you do the math [Insert calculation here]: It doesn't take me that long xD I try to write at least 5k words a week with writing at least once a day. I release chapters every day around 12:00 PM EST. 
The longest process of writing is going back for editing. My approach is as follows: Draft, Read, Grammar-check, Read, Info-check (make sure that there's no missing information), Read, Reader-check (reading as if it was my first time), then I bug either one of my professional editor/novel friends to read it for me.

Q: What do you expect readers to take away from reading your book?
A: That despite where you come from, or not knowing where you going, that you should always fight for yourself because you're worth it.

Q: Got any tips for new writers, or writers in general?
A: I don't think I'm in the position to give advice (Ha, ha) but if you're serious about writing, WebNovel is an excellent resource to take advantage of (especially if you're thinking of going professional). You can read from authors in your same genre, ask for reviews on the forum, and get genuine opinions on your work from your readers. A win-win-win! :D

David took his time enjoying his coffee as he watched William rejoice over the script that he brought over.
Why wouldn't he? This script is a great sign that their film division is now revived!
William had done everything he could to improve their film division at the request of David. Personnel changes, expensive hardware upgrades, the introduction of new talents, and the hiring of veterans for their experience.
As much as it was troublesome to accomplish this task, having to complete tons of workloads and going through multiple talent pools, and also poaching from other companies, William feels like it was not as hard compared to the real challenge Hollywood companies have to face.
You see, many companies can also do these things, but in the end, the success of the company will only rely on one thing, the core of every company in Hollywood, Movies.
Even if they can perfect everything else, movies will still remain the lifeblood of many companies, the element that will determine the potential success of the company.
However, even if this was such an obvious thing, many companies still struggle and even more ended up falling off and shutting down after taking in losses after losses.
This is because movies are very competitive. There is only a limited number of days each year, a limited number of moviegoers, a limited number of theater screens, and every company have to share it.
The large companies can easily force their way into getting their own slice, but for the smaller ones, they only had to rely on their movies popping, and many times they are still taken advantage of with no way to fight back.
However, in the end, all of this, success or failure, lucky or unlucky, depends on the product itself, the movie.
So scripts, especially the high-quality ones, are usually in the collections of those huge companies. The only way for them to get their hands on a good script is to use a lot of money.
Or, they can also create scripts themselves. But what are the odds of companies having talented writers that can remain consistent?
These talented screenwriters also experience producing failed works, and their success stories are only determined by how many great scripts they make, not by how many failures they created.
This should highlight how much of a challenging task it is to purchase the right copyright and at the same time profit from it in its box office results.
Success in Hollywood just comes with too many barriers, and sometimes it just feels impossible to break through.
This is why their company used to sell videotapes of 'decent' movies they bought. Compared to those giant entertainment companies, it does seem like they are fighting for scraps.
But all of these thoughts disappeared when David told him he could write movie scripts for the company.
When he first heard it, William reacted in a very normal way.
He didn't believe it.
William has a lot of experience in these kinds of things, having been the CEO of a fairly successful Hollywood company.
There are a lot of these 'writers' who write scripts and send them to their company to be bought. Well, he had one thing to say about them. Their company is not a charity foundation.
They do not buy trash, but on the outside, he remained polite and chose to send those writers away with good wishes.
The main point is, writing is easy but writing movie scripts with high box office is too difficult. This is why some writers, those successful ones, can demand box office shares for their work, and companies accept their conditions.
It is just simply too challenging to produce high box office works.
David would obviously understand the thoughts of William, so after telling him that he has the ability to produce good scripts, he also brought with him his first work, SpongeBob.
After looking over his entire copyright of SpongeBob, including the illustrations and episodes, William couldn't help but feel excited.
What is talent? This is talent!
Of course, what came after was him convincing David to create his beautiful work but starting up SpongeBob now isn't realistic.
David wouldn't beg other TV Networks to broadcast his work. He would also not accept being taken advantage of by them once they see this treasure of an animation, so he chose to hold SpongeBob until he can broadcast it himself!
Willian immediately backed down after hearing his concerns. This is understandable. It doesn't matter. They have all the time in the world. They can wait.
After that, he had already forgotten about it, but now that David brought another script, he couldn't wait to look through it himself.
"Haha, our company finally has a new project again!"
William almost danced in excitement, feeling his face starting to get stiff from smiling, holding the manuscript firmly in his hands.
"Okay, calm down."
"You can register the copyright of this work as soon as possible."
After sitting back down, William still showed excitement but still nodded seriously.
"Yes, yes. I understand."
"Keep it secret for now. We can reveal it once we officially begin the project. Make sure there will be no loopholes in the copyright other parties can use."
William's eyes were fixed on David, continuously nodding his head on all of his instructions, remembering it all in his head.
David had full confidence in this movie. After all, in his past life, the "Saw" franchise accumulated a total box office profits of $874.1 million, making it one of the most successful horror film franchises in history.
The first "Saw" film earned $103.9 million worldwide with a production cost of $1.2 million, with its subsequent movies being more and more successful.
With their low-cost budget and horror movie's stable audience, breaking even is expected, and profits are almost a guarantee.
For the movie "Saw," David knows how successful this film is going to be, and he felt that it is suitable to be the first film their company is going to produce.
Why? This comes down to its genre.
Many genres such as musicals and romance have a specific group of fans. This can be said to be the same with science fiction fans, but science fiction movies are usually very costly, so there are many risks surrounding their production.
Many of these genres not only rely on engaging and entertaining plots but also on the protagonist and their popular casts.
Only the audience of horror movies will watch horror movies just because it is a horror movie.
The thrilling atmosphere is the main reason why moviegoers enter the theater, not because of a popular actor being in the movie.
The barrier of entry for horror movies is not very high. It only needs to be scary enough.
David has sufficient confidence that "Saw" will just be as successful as it will be in the future. This classic movie will shine whatever year it is released.
Nine films of Saw had been released, and each of these films had small production costs and huge box office returns.
In his previous life, Lions Gate Entertainment made a lot of profit from this franchise but now...

so basically the last time we have. Mint has made his confession to Martin when he meant him on the disaster spot and luckily Martin has mutual feeling too. this confession of Mint worked out. now what happens next in their relationship development, it will be discussed in later chapters on.

after rescued by Freddie, Jasmine's heart tries to open up its gate and willing to regain courage and can love someone again.

and the other hand we have a new character entry Caption Arron. a highly qualified military man. by the way, he was mentioned before, as the man who saved Eric from a fight before. the other man with Aroon was Earth the fellow soldier position as a sergeant in Thailand Army. from the recent events, when Eric saved by Aroon twice, he was unable to thank him properly due to his condition. but he was willing to meet him again and thank him properly. on the other hand caption, Aroon was willing to meet and want to acknowledge Eric as an interest.

the chemistry between Aroon and Eric will begin soon.

I can say, yes, kind of some certain elements were similar to this story, other elements were purely fictional. like this is a completely imaginary world in comparison to the real world. so the events that happen in this fiction world entirely come from the author's mind. the author is responsible for all of the events that occurred in this universe. so basically speaking, we are just a part of that universe (author's universe) the action occurred in here within us and in our surrounding is interpreted by the author, we are not self willing to do things by ourselves. we are just creations who have to walk on the path created but the author. unlike in the real world, where people were free to do whatever they want."

"so basically there are different genre of tales for the writer to pick for himself to write. he does that first. then an interesting topic he chooses. the topic and tales were either depend on a real incident or entirely fiction or mix of both for a spicy taste in the story. but first of all the write gain the information about the topic he was going to write it's either fiction or based on real events. if he didn't do that the reader might misunderstand or misjudged his creation in the time being. when the research work he did.
with his skills and knowledge, he shows his work through writing. either the writers pick topics from there environment directly, we call them real-life based/ events. hence are valid to state them as true. or the author just takes influence from the environment. if I explain that in details It would be- the author picks things up from the environment and add it to the fiction. like names of the characters which can be based on the real names of the person. places names will be similar. the similarity of culture and tradition in fiction and real-life and many more like that. this matching of materials makes things go easier for the writer and time saving he does not have to make an entirely complete system of organisations of its subjects. but that doesn't mean his creativity is limited up to this. as an author he can do whatever he wants, I am trying to say that, he can either take true events as a topic or take influences for the environment or can make entirely new systems in his creations all by himself."

"as I have mentioned earlier. most of the time author pick something from their current environment. it is a lot easier for them. instead of thinking something completely different. or as if I talk about the genre of fiction, it, itself diverse into may category like science-fiction, war-fiction, historical-fiction etc. writer search on these events first, like in a historical-fiction the writer's research were their clothes, community, what meal they have and how their lifestyle and events that occur at what period/era. so it was an example of fiction that has taken its plot from environment factors. either there is a common similarity between them, they still consider as fiction due to the story and characters based on the story were imaginary. likewise in science-fiction author either pick its material from the current developing science-based on a futuristic view which is completely nonexistence in the present time but might be possible in future. materials from this fiction are completely imaginary and are harder to write due to the consumption of more creative power for the author. as for some events were also similar in here based on their research. but due to falling into the category of fiction they might occur in real life, the whole story can still consider as fiction. but as you speak for the factors I would say-
that the entirely plat and storytelling is based on the author mind. through his emotion and research, he binds his creativity together."

"I think Mint it's the personal reason of the author. more like wish to accomplish which he cannot gain in his real world's life.
what he has feelings in his heart and mind what he is willing his world to be, what he wants a world to live in, he creates using us as fiction.
he has a desire to live a life as he writes in his fiction."

This is Mint. this story's main Protagonist. you guessed it right, I like men. like a lot, literally. yes, I am the one, belong to that 10% population which consider as the minority, The LGBTQ+. but if you take aside the sexuality agenda, I'm a normal person like you. I have a family, friends like more than brother and sister. suitable college life and a friend that I have a crush on. I wake up early daily, take bath, eat meals regularly, and always be on time for college, being studious is my nature. posses talents and hobbies and thinking uniquely. facing difficulties and stress, dealing with them, and all stuff like that. I am as normal as you are as extraordinary as you are.

"Keep Hope Mint. everything will be fine. the disaster has passed. now we just have to figure out where their locations are. but first, you need to take a deep breath and calm your blood pressure down. don't be panic."

"I am trying to calm myself down. but, as time passes I can't stop worrying about them. and I might keep worrying like this until I discover they are safe."

I say a msg dropped into my phone. I rapidly get up and gear up for helping them.

"Han, I should go and look for them. you have to rest"

"I can't sit around and do nothing. when I knew my friends are out there. they might need my help. I should go too."

"No, please, you are in no condition right now. look at you. you barely even walk right now. if you get out like this you have me behind to worry about you too."

"but!"

"I do not afford to listen to any excuses right now. just be here and I take the rest of the part to make sure they are safe."

My heart-eating me out of worry. this is a case of emergency, of course, I would. why not. but nonetheless, I wasn't thinking straight. 
when I started to think, why I was running so desperate to the first destination. when I received the location like this crazy? I might say I can't judge myself for what reason my heart is shouting me to 'run' fast as I can. move my feet as I can, towards the person it might desire to take a glimpse to his safety.

yes, I am figuring out myself too, why? why him? why this particular person my heart has a desire to see this extensively out of anyone in this entire planet right now?

The upper phase might not be a question. but it might rather be it's an answer to itself. I just have to figure out what.
