"Let's go to the book store shall we?" Rune said with a big smile.

"Nah, I'm tired. You always read those novels aren't you tired of them" Tanwat whined.

"It's too hot outside. I prefer to stay home and play games." Chaiya said while stretching his body lazily.

"Oho, you guys are talking as if I'm the only book worm here."

"Aren't you?" Chaiya and Tanwat said in unison.

"Aren't you too? C'mon, you guys may find some interesting novels in sci-fi and mysteries." Rune pleased making puppy eyes.

"We are definitely not falling for those eyes," Chaiya said.

"Tsk, that was the best excuse I ever made," Rune said pouting.

"Well, that was the lamest one you ever made." Tanwat sighed and leaned back on the couch.

"The excuse you made when you wanted to escape the senior's fest in the first year made more sense," Chaiya added.

"I just said my stomach was upset. Shit man, that made more sense to you?" Rune smacked Chaiya's shoulder.

"What to do then?" Rune said in a bored tone.

"What else can we do?"

"Let's go to the book store," Tanwat said while sitting back.

Listening to that Rune's face lit up with happiness.

"I thought you guys didn't fall for that excuse," Rune said with a doubtful face.

Tanwat and Chaiya looked at each other and smiled.

"You guys were teasing me" Rune pushed Tanwat a little and he fell on Chaiya's chest. He quickly moved away.

Rune didn't notice the act, he was so busy in his enjoyment.

"You guys will buy any book or are you coming just to enjoy my silence there?" Rune asked.

"Everyone knows you talk too much," Tanwat said.

"A novel can't stop you from doing that. I have one or two novels I haven't started but it's better to buy one." Chaiya added.

"I have to buy one too. I read all the novels I have." Tanwat said while standing up.

The three came out of the house and Rune started searching for the cabs on his phone. But there was still a bit of awkwardness in between Chaiya and Tanwat.

"Ugh, damn it. There are no cabs available. What the fuck. Fucking assholes." Rune's frustration had no limit and it can only be calmed down after he curses them.

"Calm down, Calm down." Tanwat tried to calm down Rune.

"Umm... Tan, how did you come here? By cab?" Chaiya asked.

"Nah, the cabs weren't available at that time too. I brought my car. Mum went with her friends. I sneaked in a brought my car." Tanwat said pointing at the car which was parked outside the gate.

"Can't you say that earlier? I was looking for cabs for almost 30 minutes." Rune whined.

"Don't fight. Let's go." Chaiya said.

The three came out of the gate. Tanwat took out his keys and was going towards the driving seat.

"Tan, you're gonna drive the car?" Rune asked giving a whimsical expression.

"Yes. What's your deal by giving that weird expression?" Tanwat asked.

"Umm..... nothing. It's just... I don't wanna die at a young age." Rune said while rubbing the back of his neck gently.

"What the fuck?" Tanwat asked with a bit of an angry tone.

"Last time, you drove the car. We almost got into an accident. That's why mum banned you from driving a car." Rune answered.

"That was years ago," Tanwat replied.

"Still..." Rune said doubting Tanwat's driving skills.

"C'mon, Rune. He came here without getting himself into an accident." Chaiya reminded.

"And even without a scratch," Tanwat said with confidence.

"Yet, you got a speeding ticket, don't you?" Rune said while folding his hands towards his chest.

"Heheh, yeah. How did you find out?" Tanwat asked with nervous laughter.

"It's there on the back passenger seat," Chaiya said while showing the ticket.

"Quite observant," Tanwat said while patting Rune's head.

"Let me drive then," Rune said.

"No way. I almost got into an accident, but you got into an accident when you insisted on driving alone. There's no way, I'm letting you drive." Tanwat said with eyes wide opened.

"I did learn to drive. Let me show you." Rune said while snatching the keys from Tanwat's hand.

Rune went and opened the driver's door. He sat and started the engine. Chaiya sighed and sat on the passenger seat next to Rune and Tanwat sat on the passenger seat at the back.

Rune drove the car to the nearest mall. The three came out of the car.

"See, I drove well, didn't I?" Rune said while tossing the keys to Tanwat, but instead of Tanwat Chaiya caught the keys.

"Yes. You can drive better if you focus on driving more. You haven't horned while taking a turn. There were minor mistakes." Chaiya showed the faults in Rune's driving.

"Stop nagging like mum," Rune whined.

They took the elevator and reached the floor where the book store is there. They entered the book store and started searching for the book genres.

"I'm going to the ancient history section," Rune said while going towards the section he wanted to look into.

"Okkay, then I will go to the sci-fi section," Chaiya said looking for the sci-fi section.

"You really need to stop looking only for them, they aren't that thrilling," Tanwat said with a giggle.

"So is your mystery novels," Chaiya added.

"Wanna try? I know a book. It's a bit of sci-fi as well as mystery. You will love it." Tanwat asked.

'I love everything you choose.' Was what there at the end of Chaiya's lips but instead, he said.

"Sounds cool."

"Great. Let's go." Tanwat said while stretching his hand towards Chaiya.

Chaiya hesitated to hold his hand. He felt happy, shocked, surprised at the same time. His emotions were fighting with each other to win. Tanwat saw the hesitation and took Chaiya's hand and pulled him. Chaiya didn't believe himself. He's holding his love's hand and it was quite a shock cos, Tanwat never allowed or never showed gestures to hold hands.

"I will remember our love, even if you forget," said Soul even after knowing those are his last words.

Not only did the majority of Merican citizens believe this lie, but even the creators of such lies believed them on a subconscious level. Hence, they then subconsciously continued to spread such lies.
"But what they don't know is that lies are always lies! Even if it is repeated a thousand times, 10,000 times, it is still a lie! It cannot become a so-called 'truth.' It is very easy to expose this kind of lie. We'll simply let the people of Merica experience the products of Xing Hai Technologies. Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

This is not a book but me introducing myself My name is Snow leopard or just... snow. I'm someone (or a nerd) who's into sci-fi, Fantasy, modern tech, modern warfare, futuristic, mystery, novels, and etc. I'm pretty much a nerd at many types of technology, also weapons and warfare, but beyond that I am planning to have my first book coming out soon that is a otherworlder book (This book also has me to have plans to actually publicly published It's as a real book for people who can buy at Barnes & Noble but that won't be for a long time) but most likely filled with space sci-fi and medieval type of fantasy and fanfiction. it's based off of other books (ones from Barnes & Noble). I plan to have it base off such as the gate, Stargate, The destroyer men series, Powell, Harry Potter, wings of fire, and Narnia. The story will be complex and when I say complex it will be complex It will be hard for me to make despite this I already have all the creativity and I need for the story. I'll also based off from other novels that are from web novel as well. Like Eodem the gun and a sword adventure (I believe I put that in right so tell me if I'm wrong) and other novels that can help me I can't put them in this part of the announcement I'm making because either I forgot or can't seem to find the right lyrics on how to pronounce it. anyways, it will be a while before I post the first chapter however it will most likely be another series I have been working on...so, where going to see some novels from me soon when this Corona virus is over and also I would like to shout out that I hope everyone is okay during this panademic It's really horrible I lost a few my family mates due to the virus I hope all of you are doing okay and not suffering too much from what has happened. It seems like to me that this panademic will probably at least take another year for it to completely go away due to how many people who have the virus and how long they're going to be infected and how long it's going to continue on slowly spreading by the minute but that will take a while before I completely dissipates. Shin: Ah, I know what you mean. In bleach so many characters should have died in in the Aizen/soul society war and in Naruto only villains were allowed to die ( Except like Neji and the Third Hokage ).

Saki: That is right. God might make a story that in real life to suit younger viewers, change a single detail and throw us into a modified plot. Also, we should prepare for not just supernatural and magic stories, but sci-fi ones as well. Btooom didn't really go that far with just BIMs, but a real sci-fi story could wipe us out if we lack heavy firearms.

Hikari: Like what?

Shuai: Ghost in Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Psycho Pass, Blue Gender, Edge of Tomorrow, World Trigger ( Trigger ON! ), Zetman, Rockman, Mass Effect, Mahouka koukou no rettousei ( Love the light novel, but it lacked shounen elements and the MC was too OP in a world were effort meant very little and enemies never thought outside the box/Lacked a Kiritsugu Emiya view on how to face magicians. Could call it sci-fi since magic is just another science in that universe, but is a stretch ), Casshern Sins, Gantz, God Eater, Halo and some of the Final Fantasy Games ( A fantasy based on reality ).

Shin: I geuss we can count the Eva and Gunfam series out as they are too out there with mechas and all.

Saki: I hope so. Even if there is a new type enhancement here, those stories would require a whole different set of skills to survive. Of course God probably won't put us in a truly hopeless situation. But to prevent this from happening, I suggest that we equip ourselves with three weapons. Close combat weapon, rapid fire weapon, and heavy firearm.

Saki: For close combat weapons, I suggest magical weapons. To be honest, I don't like to watch supernatural horror manga, anime, novels and I especially not into video games or movies. And in order to survive through them, I suggest a magical close combat weapon, that can both deal with normal life forms and also supernatural beings. Shin, you did very well on this point with the Na Ring. It lacks a effect on normal opponents and wasn't much use in Btooom, but your ring included support ability of a dimensional bag from games and can attack supernatural opponents as well. Given your physical fitness, this is almost a perfect choice, so you should continue down the close combat martial arts route that have been. You also have a type of Kagune that is useful in CQC and mid range combat. You should have a lot of points, so you should get a powerful Sci-fi weapon this time around or a magic weapon useful against any kind of opponent.

Shin: Thanks for the advice. I have been feeling my limitations in the last mission. I'll look into it.

Saki: Good. Now, rapid fire weapons are and should be used against enemies in masses, like zombies and your basic minion type monsters, goblins and skeletons that you see in games. For heavy firearms, I suggest Kampa get the M41A Pulse Rifle that has both the advantages of rapid fire and destructive power. The M41A Pulse Rifle is a pulse-action, air-cooled, selective fire assault rifle chambered for10×24mm Caseless ammunition, and has an attached grenade launcher, and if you are skilled enough to not get caught up in the blast you will become a force to be reckon with. This weapon is secretly in testing stage in the real world, but no one has come close to a finished model to my knowledge, yet God already has the finished product, but I wouldn't suggest getting anything too expensive since you also need to increase your stats. No matter what the great weapon you have there is no point if you get killed easily, so increase your Muscle Density and Reaction Speed if you can.

Kampa: Alright.

Saki: Ok then. Now, as for everyone else, I don't suggest you buy any heavy firearms. Because your ability in handling weapons are horrible with the exception of Aqua with military training and Hikari who has talent with shooting. Aqua has her Auto 9 Robo Cop gun with infinite Ammo, so she is fine, but for Hikari, I wouldn't suggest that you become a gunner.

Hikari: Why is that?

Saki: You may have talent, but I believe that you would serve better in a support role with your abilities as a hacker with your skills with computers. If you really need to shoot for self defense I would suggest just borrowing Aqua's gun when she will be fighting at close range. As for the rest of you you're better off spending the points on special bullets for the rapid fire weapons. Like the new type of depleted uranium ammunition. Basically that's it for choosing weapons.

Shuai: How will those of us not suited for close combat fight supernatural enemies? Your suggestions only cover for Shin, Aqua and maybe Misaki.

Saki: Ah, I almost forgot, so let me add one last thing. Those normal and Sci-fi weapons can also damage supernatural beings. You just have to use magical bullets, but those will cost more than normal bullets as I have heard from Aqua. In fact, I've heard that she already figured out a way around that, right?

The room Jie created was huge. He led the other three down stairs and left the three girls outside. In front of them was an area as big as a soccer field. They were amazed by it. Jie said with pride, “I didn’t know that you can change the room, but after figuring it out, you just have to focus and imagine on where you want to change while holding the room’s handle outside. This training ground was separated into a few areas. There’s a target practice field, a long distance running field, an obstacle running field, and a close combat platform.

“Starting today, everyday from 8am to 12pm, 1pm to 6pm, and 7pm to 12am. We will train non-stop. We won’t see any results on our body with just these few days so we will start with shooting and close combat. You will also have to run and test your limits. Jie shook his head. “Not enough. Your speed and strength are there but you can’t keep calm. You have much more strength than before so you can’t control the punches you throw. Learn how to control your speed and power the first few days. Then you will have to learn to use your abilities. We will depend on you for the next movie.”

Zheng nodded. He definitely felt he couldn’t control his strength, and he’s rather curious on his Qi. Was it as amazing as the novels described it? The punches he received from Jie could knock a normal person out, but it was only painful at first then he felt a warm sensation moving through his body and the pain dissipated.

The four of them had dinner at Jie’s room. Then Zheng brought Lori back. On the way back, he was still thinking of the training. He figured out the function of Qi. Other than lessening pain, when he spread it through his body, his speed and strength would double. That was the only time he beat Jie in combat. Jie couldn’t even do anything against that kind of power. But then he could barely move for ten minutes. Seemed like this could only be used in danger.

Zheng still hadn’t figured out how to use the blood energy yet. Since it’s on the same rank as Qi, it shouldn’t be too weak.

“Ahem!”

It woke Zheng up from his thoughts. Lori was standing in front of him with a red face. She seemed mad at him. “You’re walking with me and your mind is elsewhere.
