I get it, sometimes it can be easy to be swayed to write something you don't enjoy. Say if everyone around you loved romance and sci-fi books, but you loved history books. You would be drawn to write sci-fi or romance so that your friends will read it. Don't! 
Doing that is only going to make writing it insufferable to you. Before I turned this into a book that will help starter witters write, this was going to be a sci-fi book. I tried to force myself to write chapters I didn't want to, so instead I changed it to an educational book. I find this much more enjoyable and easy to do. 
I'm not saying you shouldn't challenge yourself to write about themes other than the ones that you enjoy. That is a very good idea, sometimes it just takes a dip into another world to see things from a whole new perspective. That's the reason I was writing the sci-fi book, if i hadn't it wouldn't have turned into to this. Sometimes you might get into that theme of book and start writing it more often.
If you enjoy writing what you write, other people will see it. There will be things like editing a chapter 3 times in a week or writing a new one everyday. If you don't enjoy writing the book, you might just say the editing takes a while which is why you only update the story once a week. That isn't good! 
Of course sometimes you'll get busy with life and won't have the time you need to write the chapter, but if you enjoy what you write you'll want to come back to it every day or every other day. Take Valerie the Orphan as an example, I uploaded a chapter everyday because I was so in love with the characters and the plot and the timing and just everything!

Speaking of timing, if you want to write a fantasy book from way back in the 1700's, do it! Don't not write it just because you think other people won't like it. I'm sure there have been many people wondering if someone's ever gonna make a fantasy book from back in the 1700's.

This book will be full of helpful tips on how to start your own book. There is no lead, this is not about history. History was just the closet thing to education I could find. I hope you enjoy these tips for amateurs!

Lu Zhiyao was speechless.
The script for "Mission and Choice" was originally given in segments. Director Zhu Xiaoce had put it nicely so that Lu Zhiyao could "figure out every plot and not affect the current performance because he knew the ending in advance."
Director Zhu Xiaoce had achieved his goal.
Lu Zhiyao really brought himself into the role of Captain Qin Yi when he acted in every plot. He had no idea what would happen in the future, so he acted closer to Qin Yi's true state in the drama.
However, this also brought about a problem. Lu Zhiyao had such fragmented information that he was dying.
He would only give the script a small part each time. However, the development of the plot was very complicated. Lu Zhiyao would be stopped every time he wanted to know the next part of the plot.
He did not expect it to be a cliffhanger now that he had finally gotten the script for the end of the movie. There was still no plot!
That made Lu Zhiyao break down and despair.
Of course, he also knew that the entire story was complete based on the current content. There were both ups and downs. It was more than enough for a movie.
Huang Sibo and Director Zhu Xiaoce probably had not thought about the rest of the plot either. They had only left a suspense for the next series. 
However, even though Lu Zhiyao knew this very well, he still could not help but scold the "cliffhanger ending".
Lu Zhiyao began to re-examine the last part of the plot after calming down.
Before this, his acting skills had been tested from every angle. He had thought that he was already experienced and fearless.
However, Lu Zhiyao realized that the real difficulty was at the end when he saw the last part of the script!
There were still many twists and turns in the final outcome. Qin Yi's emotions were turning despair to the point of collapse, then he found a chance of survival in his despair. Then, he used his impassioned speech to lift the morale of all the warriors and successfully showed humanity the dawn of victory.
If the script ended here, it would be a standard popcorn film with a very authentic hot-blooded ending.
However, the plot took a sharp turn just as Qin Yi was about to see the light of victory.
The unconscious Qin Yi realized that he had the consciousness of the Zergs. The consciousness of the Zergs made him naturally stand on the side of the Zergs and think about problems. He had empathy for the Zergs. Qin Yi realized that humans were the first to attack the Zergs. Strictly speaking, the Zergs were the ones who were invaded.
Qin Yi ordered all the soldiers to stop the fire after waking up. The war between humans and Zergs had been forced to stop.
If the script ended here, humans and Zergs would shake hands and build a beautiful universe together. That would be a standard Western political correct ending.
However, Qin Yi did not want to shake hands with the Zergs and make peace. Instead, he deceived the Zergs and found the location of the Zerg Queen and all the secondary empresses through the consciousness of the Zergs. He then carried out the decapitation operation.
Qin Yi lied to the Zergs for the sake of mankind, but he was also deceived and abandoned. In the end, Qin Yi became the leader of all the Zergs and was carried by the Leviathan Beast to the endless space because all the Zergs' empresses and secondary empresses were wiped out.
In this plot, Qin Yi's emotions were still changing drastically.
Part of him was excited, part of him was surprised to learn the truth, part of him was cold-blooded, part of him felt betrayed…
Especially in the last scene, where Qin Yi woke up in the incubation pool of the Leviathan Behemoth. There would be a close-up shot where Lu Zhiyao had to show Qin Yi's complicated emotions with one look.
Obviously, this plot was much more difficult than the previous script to Lu Zhiyao!
What's more, he knew from the start that Qin Yi's character tested his acting skills and was difficult to act out because his character was set as an iron-blooded soldier.
Qin Yi did not have any emotions under most circumstances. He was very reserved even if he did.
However, in this script, Qin Yi's fate was too complicated. He always faced extreme despair or extreme pain. This made it difficult for Lu Zhiyao to find a balance.
Qin Yi's character would easily collapse if he exerted a little more force. It was not appropriate for an iron-blooded warrior to fly into a rage or have a mental breakdown. If he did not use enough strength, the audience would think that Lu Zhiyao did not have any acting skills and could not express his emotions well.
Comparatively, young characters were easier to act because the emotions of such characters were usually very simple. Joy was joy, anger was anger. It was not that complicated and the speed was very relaxed.
On the other hand, it was the most difficult to act out a strong-willed person like Captain Qin Yi.
Lu Zhiyao sighed softly. It seemed like he would be busy again in the coming days.
He wanted to continue staying in the hotel room and study the plot with the mirror. He wanted to adjust his acting skills and expression so that he could perfectly show the last part of the plot.
However, Lu Zhiyao took all the scripts so far and read them from beginning to end before that. He analyzed the story from his own perspective.
The deepest impression that this story left on Lu Zhiyao was its 'cultural angle '.
As an actor, Lu Zhiyao has seen many movies. He had seen all sorts of movies in various countries and genres.
The story of 'Mission and Choice', if dissected individually, would be nothing special compared to many traditional sci-fi movies.
Of course, this was normal.
'Zergs' had existed in sci-fi movies for decades after all. Various seniors had already expressed many different views from various angles and methods. There were not many places left for future generations to innovate.
It was impossible to turn every plot in the story upside down with so many classic works available.
However, in Lu Zhiyao's opinion, the biggest breakthrough in Mission and Choice was actually combining the cultural perspective and sci-fi theme of China. This was something that had never happened before.
Sci-fi movies were very rare in China. That was because sci-fi movies required too much investment and required a large number of professional props, special effects, and staff. It was very easy to make them into oddities without accumulation.
Thus, when it came to sci-fi movies, the first thing people would think of were the huge sci-fi systems in Europe and America even in the domestic film market.
The problem was that almost all of the popular sci-fi works that could be seen at the moment were explained from a Western cultural perspective.
This caused many domestic audiences to question and feel disjointed about the value of these sci-fi movies. Things that Westerners were used to were completely unacceptable to domestic audiences.
The idea of 'Mission and Choice' was actually written by a famous foreign science fiction writer in 1985. He had also won the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award. It was an eternal science fiction classic.
However, in that story, the commander was a child. He felt very guilty after destroying the Zergs. That was why he brought the young Zerg Queen into the universe to find a new home, hoping to redeem himself.
This was the standard Western thinking. Just like how many people in the animal protection organizations in the West were calling for a vegetarian diet for animals to enjoy the same rights as humans…
This might be natural political correctness and kindness for people living in Western cultural backgrounds.
However, this was a complete stupidity and hypocrisy for people who lived in the cultural background of China. It was a manifestation of the Virgin Mary.
Westerners shouted the slogan for political correctness, and even fought for rights and benefits for animals. Ultimately, it was because their lives were too rich and comfortable, and because their resources were too abundant that they had the spare energy to spread their excess sympathy everywhere while squandering.
The source of Westerners' wealth and ease was the exploitation, plundering, and bloody slaughter of the world by their ancestors hundreds of years ago.
Westerners did not look back at the aboriginals slaughtered by their ancestors when shouting "animals have rights", ; they did not think about how they obtained so much material wealth because their country was plundering and exploiting the rest of the world.
While these Westerners were empathizing with the animals for their rights, their country was bullying, oppressing, and exploiting the other countries in the world. They were constantly spreading wars, famines, and plagues, causing their fellow humans to live in hell.
Therefore, it was very stupid and hypocritical for humans to sympathize with the Zergs from the perspective of Chinese culture.
The world would be much better if Westerners treated the people of other races and other countries with half of their sympathy for animals.
Zergs existed in the universe as a race that posed an extreme threat to all life in the setting. They had a strong collective consciousness, efficient sharing of information, and powerful mutation abilities. The only meaning of their existence was to expand and reproduce in the universe, eliminating all other races.
Their race was still an extreme threat to human survival even if the Zerg Queen really wanted to coexist peacefully with humans.
On the other hand, humans sympathizing with the Zergs and sparing them would be akin to rearing a tiger. How could they tell that the Zerg Queen was not lying? How could they tell if the Zerg Queen's future thinking would change?
Under such circumstances, exterminating the Zergs was the most rational decision of mankind.
Sympathizing with the Zergs and protecting them would put humans in great danger.
'Mission and Choice' completely adopted the Chinese perspective on this theme.

POSITIVE REVIEW :
Brilliant novel. Absolutely brilliant.
The three volumes I have read so far can be described by their overarching goal (the following description adapted from the author's words himself - because I completely agree) :
The first volume is a more standard progression, where Li Yao grows from junkyard orphan to a person who has made a name for himself based on his hard work and ability. He faces arrogant rich brats, other similarly talented people who grew up in feeder systems, and other hardened people.

He also meets his girlfriend in this volume} 

He grows, experiences major setbacks, but comes back, and declares his vow to exceed something. Things happen, he delivers on what he said, etc., and becomes a major success story.
Unexpected disastrous situation! He is embroiled in an extremely deep plot to overthrow an entire nation of people. While slowly figuring out the true components of the plan, he uses his multiple talents to execute a resistance, and eventually triumphs.
As he solves the previous mess, he realizes an even greater, and more nefarious plot. In an effort to combat this, he formulates plans on what to do - but some twists happen, obviously, and things don't go as planned. As he tries to resolves those little kinks, he starts to realize something - there is no true black or white in this world, and the only way to guide himself is his own belief and opinion.
That description was not the best, because I'm not yet able to fully wrap my feelings for this novel into words yet, and so it may make you feel like it's some hero story - I assure you, it is in no way close to that.

Here begins the lengthy explanation of its good points :
Our MC is known as The Vulture, and for good reason - his personality can be considered cunning at best, and conniving at worst. His fighting style is exceedingly refreshing - rather than the traditional 'Let me yell my move out before/while I do it so everyone knows I can do this', it's far more realistic, and dirty. This is a futuristic world, with guns, bombs, the like, as well as energy, and he makes full use of it.
The romance scene here is one of the best, ever, period, full stop. I can't begin to tell you how much I loved it.

Li Yao's gf is a fighting maniac - she has had similarly traumatic experiences as him, and was at first an elder sister char., who would beat him up / help him with his combat. They would spend time alone just fighting, and he slowly fell in love - they eventually get together, but they're really busy trying to fight and get stronger, so their dates are literally while beating each other up. This is the kind of mood she has - an absolutely individualistic, powerful, show-no-mercy, amazing kind of character. One of my favorite lines she says goes something like 'What do you mean my position as Li Yao's wife will be lost to Li Yao's apprentice? Why should I be worried? B*tch, I'm gonna be known as Ding Lingding, not somebody's wife, and I'm a boss *ss girl". Ooooooh, she is DOPE.*} 

The plot's here are ridiculously intense. And it's not something like, 'But wait, there's more!?", but actual plots and hidden plots and sub plots and the ilk. I'm talking super, super, super layered plots. Starting in the second arc, there's a basic plot for him to solve, but as he goes through, he starts to find more and more things happening, and by the time push comes to shove, the villains are no longer villains, heroes are actually just big losers, Li Yao was accidentally fighting for the wrong side for a bit, and the best part? THEY ALL HAVE BACKSTORIES. Side characters, main characters, protagonists, antagonists, even the mob characters get story time. And it's all relevant!
The first arc/volume, there is an enemy, and Li Yao is going heavily against them. Not really a spoiler alert - they're demon beasts. In the second volume/arc, you start to get the feel that things aren't black and white in the second arc, but there's still really a 'main kind of enemy' involved, one that clearly violates your feel of morality. But once we hit the third arc, things are flipped upside down. Major spoiler ahead:

He comes back to his home region in the third arc (was in a different 'space fragment' in the second arc), but because of a certain problem he brought upon himself unknowingly in the second arc that only blooms now, he is forced to go into the Fiend Clan area. Hoping to stay there till he recovers, and until then, gather some useful intel in hopes of repelling a soon to come horrible calamity, he goes undercover, but starts to discover shocking backstory. The cruelty of human nature (Fiend Clan nature, too) is fully revealed here - no one either can and/or wants to stop a 500 yr long war, and stopping it is the third arc} 

What happens, chapter by chapter, is that Li Yao realizes the complexity of war, of all the factors involved, the horrors it causes, and its repercussions.
Lastly, and still importantly, the villains are smart. Very smart. Diabolical at times, but terrifyingly smart. I thought I was good at reading hidden plots, and picking up on possible faults, but I was taking doozy turns on this.
Even now, I feel like I'm missing some important parts, but I'm not a professional novel reviewer, and if I were to go any deeper, I'd just be giving a full on summary. My main point is this - the novel is deep and complicated; maybe not the most thought provoking piece of literature, for sure, but for a web novel, it sure does a fine job.
Lastly, there's a theory in here called the 'Dark Forest' theory, and it has something to do with extra-terrestrial life. It's both extremely intriguing, and absolutely terrifying to think of. And worst of all, there's a high chance it could be true.
If sci-fi meets Chinese fantasy world is your shtick, this is your shtaff, my dudes.

CRITICAL REVIEW :
I hadn't even gotten through the first chapter and I was already tired of all the unneeded descriptive / comparative phrases the author kept adding in. Let me write a short paragraph to show how annoying it is.
The author writes a paragraph and adds unneeded descriptive / comparative phrases, just like how Hollywood directors needlessly splits a short book into two movies. It's unbelievably annoying, just like how an unending itch on the skin is. However, every web novel author needs to add words of absolutely no substance in between those with, else they run out of ideas on how to proceed, just like how Anime makers add filler after filler in order to make sure they don't catch up to the source or to wait for the source to proceed with the actual story...
I mean, obviously the author doesn't do it every paragraph but these phrases stick out just because of how forced they are. This honestly might be the most annoyed I've been due to the authors writing-style. Usually it's because of dumb characters, dumb logic, dumb events etc. Actual components of the story itself, not the author's writing.
As for the story... people are saying it's a breath of fresh air but because I've just read (and dropped) Battle Frenzy, I don't find that to be the case at all. Cultivation system set in the modern world, has a simulation system, MC is not a cultivation genius at the start but is a genius in another aspect which just so happens to be extremely important in the set world, MC started at the bottom of the school, best friend has a lot to say about women, a "bitchy" girl in school who is called a genius who ends up "despising" the MC, his fat friend, and their kind (bitchy and despising are enclosed in "" because in BF it is shown that it was a misunderstanding and that the female was actually an extremely good person. The main difference so far really is that, Battle Frenzy was way smoother to read. I'll use what the author of this novel likes using. "Mish mash". The author pretty much "mish mashed" multiple traits of different novels in order to form the setting of this world. The problem is that his writing isn't good enough to smoothly tie it all together. I mean, the whole test question just to bring up the world's history simply felt misplaced. It felt like the author just asked himself, "Hmm, how do I introduce the history of the world?" "Oh, I know, let's just make it an answer in a test so I can literally dump in an info dump which is multiple paragraphs long."
The thought is there, just that the execution just isn't up there. I dropped Battle Frenzy because it turned out to be waaay too drawn out. It's the same here. It's even more noticeable here since the author keeps forcing descriptions in. Not to mention multiple paragraphs full of technological babble / names.
Dropping this as I don't think I've ever been this annoyed at an author's style. Feels like the author decided to write a Sci-Fi novel just to add as much "Sci-fi" bullsh*t as possible. Here's a quote taken from chapter 8 which I'll leave for whoever reads this review.
"Li Yao thought and thought, and nodded his head, "A scraped heatsink is a common breakdown in crystal processors, technically it's not a big issue. The reason why none of the repair shops you went to were unable to repair is primarily because this model number of crystal processors is way too rare. The technology utilized by this processor is also way too obsolete. The heat sink used inside has not been produced in the last hundred years, and modern heatsinks used in modern processors are fundamentally incompatible. Anyways, it doesn't matter."
So much "Sci-fi" bullsh*t "added" in chapters just to make things longer (it's actually the case for fans in PCs). Like I said in a previous review, good authors add details which actually add to the reader's immersion / imagination. Bad authors just dump in details which just end up being utter bullsh*t used to draw chapters out as much as possible.

Chapter 23 - 2, BTOOOM Intermission

 

When I heard this, I could only say that I was amazed, and everyone else was as taken back as well. Saki had deduced all of this with so little information. Not even Aqua our veteran Player had thought of all of this.

I am unsure if we can make magic weapons or tools like Magic Attack scrolls, but Sci-fi weapons are just advancements of our real world technology, despite the insanity of some, but in the end they are within the realm of possibility of mankind one day creating them.

This kind of ability... You can only describe her as non-human and I am glad that she is on our side. If she was an enemy and you gave her access to this room then she would become the wors opponent to face.

Shin: You mean like in BTOOOM! God has the power to change the settings around, so we could end up in a manga that didn't have a high death rate, but realistically should have.

Saki: Bleach or Naruto would be good examples. The fighting is very fierce and some people did die, but I was always under the impression that the authors were far too afraid to kill off their characters for whatever reason ( They were popular so magazines didn't want them dying or the author would hesitate to do so ).

Shin: Ah, I know what you mean. In bleach so many characters should have died in in the Aizen/soul society war and in Naruto only villains were allowed to die ( Except like Neji and the Third Hokage ).

Saki: That is right. God might make a story that in real life to suit younger viewers, change a single detail and throw us into a modified plot. Also, we should prepare for not just supernatural and magic stories, but sci-fi ones as well. Btooom didn't really go that far with just BIMs, but a real sci-fi story could wipe us out if we lack heavy firearms.

Hikari: Like what?

Shuai: Ghost in Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Psycho Pass, Blue Gender, Edge of Tomorrow, World Trigger ( Trigger ON! ), Zetman, Rockman, Mass Effect, Mahouka koukou no rettousei ( Love the light novel, but it lacked shounen elements and the MC was too OP in a world were effort meant very little and enemies never thought outside the box/Lacked a Kiritsugu Emiya view on how to face magicians. Could call it sci-fi since magic is just another science in that universe, but is a stretch ), Casshern Sins, Gantz, God Eater, Halo and some of the Final Fantasy Games ( A fantasy based on reality ).

Shin: I geuss we can count the Eva and Gunfam series out as they are too out there with mechas and all.

Saki: I hope so. Even if there is a new type enhancement here, those stories would require a whole different set of skills to survive. Of course God probably won't put us in a truly hopeless situation. But to prevent this from happening, I suggest that we equip ourselves with three weapons. Close combat weapon, rapid fire weapon, and heavy firearm.

Saki: For close combat weapons, I suggest magical weapons. To be honest, I don't like to watch supernatural horror manga, anime, novels and I especially not into video games or movies. Bcause they have no scientific basis, I won't waste my brain cells on things that can't be explained. But the problem now is we are very likely going to face such magical and paranormal enemies on our missions. And in order to survive through them, I suggest a magical close combat weapon, that can both deal with normal life forms and also supernatural beings. Shin, you did very well on this point with the Na Ring. It lacks a effect on normal opponents and wasn't much use in Btooom, but your ring included support ability of a dimensional bag from games and can attack supernatural opponents as well. Given your physical fitness, this is almost a perfect choice, so you should continue down the close combat martial arts route that have been. You also have a type of Kagune that is useful in CQC and mid range combat. You should have a lot of points, so you should get a powerful Sci-fi weapon this time around or a magic weapon useful against any kind of opponent.

Shin: Thanks for the advice. I have been feeling my limitations in the last mission. I'll look into it.

Saki: Good. Now, rapid fire weapons are and should be used against enemies in masses, like zombies and your basic minion type monsters, goblins and skeletons that you see in games. For heavy firearms, I suggest Kampa get the M41A Pulse Rifle that has both the advantages of rapid fire and destructive power. The M41A Pulse Rifle is a pulse-action, air-cooled, selective fire assault rifle chambered for10×24mm Caseless ammunition, and has an attached grenade launcher, and if you are skilled enough to not get caught up in the blast you will become a force to be reckon with. This weapon is secretly in testing stage in the real world, but no one has come close to a finished model to my knowledge, yet God already has the finished product, but I wouldn't suggest getting anything too expensive since you also need to increase your stats. No matter what the great weapon you have there is no point if you get killed easily, so increase your Muscle Density and Reaction Speed if you can.

Kampa: Alright.

Saki: Ok then. Now, as for everyone else, I don't suggest you buy any heavy firearms. Because your ability in handling weapons are horrible with the exception of Aqua with military training and Hikari who has talent with shooting. Aqua has her Auto 9 Robo Cop gun with infinite Ammo, so she is fine, but for Hikari, I wouldn't suggest that you become a gunner.

Hikari: Why is that?

Saki: You may have talent, but I believe that you would serve better in a support role with your abilities as a hacker with your skills with computers. If you really need to shoot for self defense I would suggest just borrowing Aqua's gun when she will be fighting at close range. As for the rest of you you're better off spending the points on special bullets for the rapid fire weapons. Like the new type of depleted uranium ammunition. Basically that's it for choosing weapons.

Shuai: How will those of us not suited for close combat fight supernatural enemies? Your suggestions only cover for Shin, Aqua and maybe Misaki.

Saki: Ah, I almost forgot, so let me add one last thing. Those normal and Sci-fi weapons can also damage supernatural beings. You just have to use magical bullets, but those will cost more than normal bullets as I have heard from Aqua. In fact, I've heard that she already figured out a way around that, right?
