Heya guys! So an update about Destinies of The Azure Skies, so for those of you who had read my story previously, my book was originally in 'script-style'. Which initially I had no intentions of making it into a theatrical or playwright, but I see that with this style it proved to very hard to get immersed, with it being hard to add on details and subtle expressions that breaks the flow of the story, thus I've decided to redo my past chapters (Chapter 0 and 1 currently are in light novel writing now.) to be following my new style in Chapter 0 and 1.
Though; I warn you. There will be a lot of dialogues in this! So it might get repetitive with the he says, she says and etc which I'm currently working on to make it so it won't be so please bear with me!
Besides this, if you would still like to read my book, by all means, go ahead. The story won't change (Though I may add a few scenes here and there and a bit of explanation), but the main storyline, as per in the description will not change.

Xiao Yan was relieved to hear his words. He didn't want to get involved in this matter. It was just that the people whom Wang Bo tried to frame included his sister… so he couldn't turn a blind eye to this matter…
Xiao Yan fell into a short silence and then nodded. "Okay, as long as your revenge doesn't affect my company."
Seeing Xiao Yan take sides with him, Ning Yan smiled and put his arm around Ning Yan's shoulder. "Great. Although Bo Xue starred in this movie, what Wang Bo has done has nothing to do with her, so it won't affect her at all… Besides, everyone knew that she starred in this movie because she wanted to explore the market abroad…
Tang Xi was confused at his words. Bo Xue wanted to get an acting award with this movie, but now the movie was going to be destroyed by him. How could he have the cheek to guarantee Yan that his revenge wouldn't affect others?
Xiao Yan also looked at Ning Yan with a strange look. "Why are you so sure it won't affect her?"
Ning Yan raised his eyebrows and explained, "I think Bo Xue is a very good actress. If Wang Bo's movie is banned, many netizens will feel sorry for her. I think they may even initiate a topic #I Owe Bo Xue A Movie ticket# on the Microblog. Then if another famous director invites her to act in his movie, she will only gain more popularity!"
Xiao Yan immediately got what he meant, so he looked straight at Ning Yan, asking, "Which director? What movie?"

Looking at their 'evil' smiles, Tang Xi shook her head helplessly. She didn't expect that men cooperating was so simple. They just drank, chatted and then nailed down their cooperation…
Qiao Liang looked at her and turned up the corners of his mouth. Then he beckoned her to sit down beside him. "What's up?"
Tang Xi looked at Qiao Liang. "Do you also negotiate with your business partners like this?"
Qiao Liang gave her a confused look, and Tang Xi raised her chin at the three of them. "Just like them. They are drinking and discussing how to solve a man they all hated. Is this the way you men talk about cooperation?"
When she was still Tang Xi, she hated talking about business at the dinner table, but it seemed like they all preferred this way of negotiating…
Qiao Liang glanced at them and raised his eyebrows. "I don't have to do this. My subordinates will do this job for me."
The Qiao's International Group was managed by his 'father' in the past and after he took over the company, Xiao Jing helped him deal with these matters. As for Long Xiao… he certainly wouldn't negotiate with his business partners at the dinner table.
If there were any problems that couldn't be solved via negotiation, he would just resort to violence. Except in the beginning years, Long Xiao usually achieved landslide victories. 
When Tang Xi heard his words, the corner of her eyes twitched. This man was showing off his abilities to her again! Didn't he know that the more he behaved like this, the more she felt inferior to him and was more desperate to catch up with him?
Refusing to think about the distance between Qiao Liang and her, Tang Xi stood up. "I'll go ask Ning Yan when we can solve that man."
When Tang Xi walked up to them, the three of them were still chatting attentively. Xiao Yan held a glass of wine. "So you not only want Bo Xue to star in that movie, but also want Shengda Entertainment to invest on it?"
He Wanzhou laughed. "Haha, President Xiao, it will benefit the both of us. It's the first cooperation of our companies. I believe we will make a great movie together! The first cooperation of the top two companies in the entertainment industry will surely attract a lot of attention!"
Xiao Yan raised her eyebrows and looked at He Wanzhou, motioning him to go on. He Wanzhou took a look at Tang Xi and smiled. "And your sister also stars in my other movie. She will promote for this movie."
"What movie are you talking about?" Tang Xi asked curiously, "Who is the director? And the playwright?"
"Ren Liang will be the playwright and Li Feng will be the director." Ning Yan said with a smile, "It's an art movie, called 'A Land of Wild Flowers'. It's about the educated urban youth working in the countryside in the 1980s. Two young people fall in love with each other in a village. I've read the script. I think this movie has a chance to win an award at the Cannes Film Festival. With a bit of luck, it might even win the 'Best Movie' award."
Tang Xi raised her eyebrows. "That's awesome."
"Yes, but there is a risk with this movie." Ning Yan nodded.
Tang Xi looked at him and smiled. "Literary movies usually perform poorly at the box office, but with a strong cast, the investment in this movie must be huge, so perhaps you will sustain losses, right?" 
Ning Yan turned up the corners of his mouth. "But what if the investors are your brother and He Wanzhou?"
Tang Xi raised her eyebrows. "Tong Lu is an actor of Qingcheng Entertainment, and Bo Xue is an actress of Shengda Entertainment… The two companies could be the biggest winners."
"Okay." Xiao Yan nodded and looked at He Wanzhou. "But there is one condition."
He Wanzhou looked at Xiao Yan. "What is it?"
"The producer. I want co-production."
Ning Yan smiled, took a look at his watch and stood up. "No problem. Now I'm going to teach that man a good lesson."
Tang Xi immediately stood up when she heard Ning Yan's words. "I'm going with you!"

May kabilisan ang flight ko mula Brussels papuntang Luxembourg. Binasa ko na lang ulit yung dalawa kong libro na dala ko para hindi ako ma-bored habang nasa biyahe. Sa flight pa lang, makikita mong world class na ang serbisyong kanilang ibinibigay. Hindi ko namalayan na nakalapag na ang eroplano sa Luxembourg. Bumaba na kaming mga pasahero at ako naman ay pumunta sa arrival area ng airport at nagtanong kung saan ang kapitolyo ng Luxembourg City. Yep, the country has its same capital name. 

May binigay sa aking mapa ang babaeng naka-assign sa information booth ng airport at bumiyahe na ako papunta sa napili kong bahay na uupahan ko. Yep, bahay ang napiliko para makamura ako. Ngayon na din ako magrereport sa kapitolyo ng Luxembourg City para wala na rin akong problema. Bukas ako magrereport sa boss ko para ma-inform na ako sa trabaho ko. Playwright ang kinuha kong trabaho dito at sa teatro ako magtatrabaho. Makalipas ang ilang minute, nakarating na ako sa isang simpleng bahay at may nakita akong nakalagay na Chambre à Louer na signage na ibig sabihin sa French ay room for rent. Siguradong mapapasabak ako sa French nito. 
Dahil walang gate, kumatok na ako sa pintuan. Bumungad sakin ang isang may edad na babae. Lumabas rin ang isang teenager na babae. 

"I'm looking for a room to rent." 

Tumango lamang ang matandang babae at sumunod sa kanya yung teenager. Umakyat na kami papunta sa 2nd floor. Nagumpisa nang magsalita yung matandang babae pero hindi ko maintindihan dahil French ang sinasalita niya. Paisa-isang salita lang ang naiintindihan ko. Nang mapansin siguro nang teenager na babae na nahihirapan akong intindihin ang sinasabi ng nanay niya, trinanslate niya ito sa English pero halatang may accent siya. 

"My mother said that there is only one room vacant for rent. The other one is already occupied by a German national. The other two were reserved for the family members. My mother asked if what country are you from? She told you that you looked like an American." sinagot ko naman agad siya. 

"Je suis venu des Philippines" 

May sinabi ang matanda at trinanslate naman ng bata na hindi halatang Pilipino ako dahil mukha akong Kano. Well, may lahi yung magulang ko eh. Pinaliwanag sakin ng landlady ko na 500 euros ang upa sa kwarto kasama na ang ilaw at tubig. Nag-down naman na ako kaagad sa matanda at nagpasalamat siya. Binigay niya rin ang susi pagkatapos. Nagpakilala siya as Madame de Vernaulle at Marina ang pangalan ng anak niya. 

Simple ang design ng kwarto ko. Parang standard hotel room ang dating niya bawasan lang ng size yung kwarto dahil may kaliitan ito. Kasya ang dalawang tao sa kwarto. Nilapag ko ang mga gamit ko. Mamaya na lang ako mag-aayos. Bumaba na ako at umalis papunta sa kapitolyo ng Luxembourg City. I'm so amazed na maganda ang kapaligiran ng siyudad nila. Malinis ang lahat ng parte ng siyudad. Hindi naman matagal ang biyahe papunta sa kapitolyo at nakarating naman ako kaagad. 
Nagtanong ako sa information kung saan ang Medical department nila at tinuro naman sakin ang way. Wala akong inaksayang oras at dumiretso na ako. Pagdating ko, ako lang ang magpapa-exam. Required kasi ang pagpapa-medical examination sa mga foreigners. Mabilis rin naman ang proseso ng medical exam. Pagkatapos nito, bumalik na ako sa kwarto ko. Nagsend na rin ako ng email sa boss ko na bukas ko sisimulan ang orientation at first day ng trabaho ko. Tatawagan ko sana sila mama kaso gabi na sa Pilipinas kaya nag-iwan na lang ako ng message sa kanila. 

Nag-ayos na ako ng gamit ko at sarili ko para sa unang trabaho ko ngayon. I'm excited at the same time ay kinakabahan na rin. Pumunta na ako sa address ng teatro. Pagpasok ko sa nasabing teatro, maganda ito at maluwag. Nagtanong ako sa staff doon kung nasaan ang meeting room ng teatro. Tinuro naman nila ito at pumunta na ko doon. Kumatok muna ako at bumungad sa akin ang 11 tao na nakaupo rin. Mostly, mga European ata ang natanggap. Matapos ang ilang minutong paghihintay, dumating na rin ang boss namin.

"Good morning, I'm Sir Lee and executive manager of this theatre." bati niya. Isa-isa kaming nagpakilala. Sa 12 na nagpakilala, 7 ang European, 2 ang Kano, 2 ang Latino at ako lang ang nag-iisang Asyano. Hinati na kami ng manager namin according to our jobs. Buti na lang may kasama akong katrabaho ko sa playwright, Lewis name niya. 

"Hey, you're Derrick, right? I'm Lewis, by the way." pakilala niya. 

"Yeah, I am. You're from the US?" tanong ko. 

"Yes. I'm from Pennsylvania. I bet you're from Philippines – in Manila, right?" tumango ako bilang sagot. Pumasok na kami sa room ng playwright at may tao na agad do'n. Nagpakilala kaagad sila samin.

"Hello, guys. I'm Leia, the head of Playwrights Department of this theatre and this is Christina." 
Medyo may edad na rin si Leia. Pero si Christina, mukhang fresh graduate ang itsura niya. Nakatitig lang ako kay Christina nang matagal at hindi ko namalayan na kinakausap na pala ako ni Leia. 
"Derrick, are you here?" 

"Yes, ma'am." sagot ko naman. Ngumiti sakin ng nakakaloko si Lewis at nakinig na rin ako sa mga dapat naming gawin. More on rules and regulations lang naman pala ang gagawin. Matapos nito, pumunta na kaming dalawa ni Lewis sa cubicle namin. Inayos ko ang cubicle ko. Magkatabi kami ng cubicle ni Lewis. Apat lang kaming playwright dito sa teatrong ito. 

"Hey, Leia told us that we need to write a play now!", sabi sakin ni Lewis. 

"What?" 

"We need to create a play now. A play that is very unusual for our time." Medyo may kabang sabi ni Lewis. Tumango na lang ako at nagsimula na akong magtrabaho. I think I'm gonna love my job. 

My mind wanders as I write my play. My play is set on an alternate reality where Axis Powers won WW2. I have written few plays and novel during my high school and college days. Hindi ako na-inform na apat lang kaming playwright at kailangan dapat makabuo kami ng isang play sa isang linggo. Pagpipilian pa ng director, manager at executive staff ng teatro ang ginagawang play namin. Matapos ang apat na oras na pagtatrabaho, nagkaroon kami ng isang oras na break. Tumayo na kami pareho ni Lewis. I gave Christina my most beautiful smile. Ngumiti siya pabalik sakin. 
Naglakad kami pareho ni Lewis palabas ng staff room at dumaan kami sa shortcut kung saan diretso ang daan palabas ng teatro. Nakalabas naman kami kaagad at nakita namin ang isang convenience store sa may kanto ng kalsada. Pumasok kami roon. Umorder din naman kami kaagad ng pagkain ni Lewis at umupo sa isang tabi. 

"What's the theme of your play?" tanong ko kay Lewis. 

"It's about an American who fall in love with a British monarch." ngiting sagot niya. Hmmm, maganda ang play niya. Suntok kasi sa buwan kung ang isang taga-Britanya ay magpapakasal sa isang Kano. Well, you know, USA is a colony of Britain and the rest is history. 

"How about yours?" balik tanong niya. 

"Mine is all about alternate history. When the Axis powers won WW2." Sagot ko sa kanya sabay kain ng pagkain ko. Pinuri naman niya ako at kumain na rin siya. Pagkatapos nito, umorder pa siya ng pagkain at binigay ang isa sakin. Sabi niya treat niya daw dahil break pa naman namin. Habang kumakain, nag-usap kami. Ako ang nag-umpisa ng topic. 

"Lewis, how's your life before you got here." Ngumiti ulit si Lewis at nagsimula sa kwento niya. 

"Just a simple boy from Pennsylvania, I have two younger sisters and I'm the lone son of my parents." 

"Is that it? That's too short!" natatawa kong sabi sa kanya. Ngumiti naman siya at nakitawa na rin. 

"Yeah, it's short. It's gonna be dramatic if I'm gonna tell it to you all the details." 

Ngumiti ulit si Lewis. Pansin ko sa kanya, lagi siyang ngumingiti. I really liked that attitude of him. Pang-pinoy ang datingan. May itsura din namang itong si Lewis. Medyo malaki ang pangangatawan at pang-model ang awra niya. Tumingin ako sa relo ko at 5 minutes na lang ang natitira sa break namin. Tumayo na kaming pareho at binilisan ko ang paglakad ko papunta sa teatro. Hindi ko namalayan na naunahan ko na si Lewis. Dahil sa pagmamadali, hindi ko namalayan na nasanggi ko ang isang lalaki at naibuhos niya sakin ang dala niyang kape. 

Fucking great.

"No… Why did the demon die in the end?! He was so nice to Belle! I can't accept it!!"
Sansa wiped away the tears on her cheeks with a handkerchief. As someone who cried a lot, she was already on her second handkerchief, which she borrowed from Hyrlan.
"Aren't all citizens of Messai merciless toward demons?"
It was Ciri's fourth time watching the movie. She was mentally prepared to stop herself from crying during the emotional scenes in the movie and now had time to notice the details, such as how many scenes she appeared in.
On the contrary, Sansa got teary-eyed halfway through and sobbed loudly when the movie ended.
Ciri knew about the Holy Theocracy of Messai. It championed the idea that "all demons were evil invaders" and had shared an antagonistic relationship with demons for close to a century. In fact, the people's general impression of demons probably originated from the missionaries of Messai who promoted their religion around the world.
In other words, it was a matter of blind discrimination.
"This… This is different…"
Sansa was flustered due to Ciri's question, but she firmly believed that Belle and the demon should have been together in the movie and that they deserved a happy ending too.
That was because, in the first half of the movie, especially when the demon came to accept Belle, Sansa found that the relationship was quite… romantic.
The best tragedies always depicted the happiest moment of its characters before cruelly stripping it away from them!
"Don't cry, it's only a story."
Hyrlan sympathized with her friend and agreed that the ending was too painful to bear. She patted Sansa's back gently to console her.
Sansa's mentality was probably her reason for choosing to study in Norland.
Knowing that, Joshua did not have to worry about a bunch of paladins attacking the theater. After all, they were in the mages' territory.
"Sir, the backdrop will be finished tomorrow. With that, everyone in Norland will get to see the promotional poster."
Sir Weissenasche finally broke free of his aristocratic lady friends and reported to Joshua about their progress.
"We must hurry. On top of that, please add a few more ticket counters."
Joshua had taught the mages under Sir Weissenasche's employment how to use originium crystals to create projections. The Weissenasche Theater may have been long-dormant, but as the manager of the theater, Sir Weissenasche was an influential figure in Norland with many aristocratic friends from various countries, and most of them were ladies.
"That's done and settled. Also, here's the contract I've prepared for you."
Sir Weissenasche was not a shrewd businessman, but he did realize the kind of impact "Beauty and the Demon" would bring to Norland's entertainment industry. The Weissenasche Theater would rise to glory once again, and it would be wise for him to fully cooperate with Joshua, the man who made it all possible.
Joshua was the only person in the world who could produce movies! He would definitely not be satisfied with just one movie. There would inevitably be more great movies in the future, and if all of them were shown only in Weissenasche Theater… Sir Weissenasche did not dare continue the thought. The possibilities were enough to make his heart leap out in excitement!
"I get eighty percent?"
Joshua briefly glanced through the content, which basically comprised of business terms and conditions that were in line with Norland's patent laws. The summary of it was that Joshua would only need to sit back and count his money. The split on ticket sales profit was also amended from a 70-30 split to 80-20 in his favor.
"I still have some savings, Sir… You must have produced this masterpiece at a great price. Besides, my biggest spending is only to maintain this theater," said Sir Weissenasche.
He was a sincere playwright who devoted himself fully to the arts. Joshua accepted Sir Weissenasche's kind offer since he most definitely needed the money to carry out the next steps of his plan.
Joshua signed his name on the contract and returned it to Sir Weissenasche, who carefully stored it away.
"You can leave the rest to me, Sir. If you need help with casting for your next movie, please don't hesitate to contact me. I can get you the right people."
In fact, Sir Weissenasche was referring to himself in particular. As an actor and playwright, he hoped to star in Joshua's next movie, even if it was just as an extra.
"Casting? I do agree that it's time to work on this side of things. I want to set up a merchant guild."
"Beauty and the Demon" was going to be popular during its long theatrical run. All Joshua needed to do was wait until the movie's fanbase spread to all corners of Norland.
Once "Beauty and the Demon" became a sensation, people would start to notice the names in the rolling credits and the company logo before the movie began.
There would not be a lack of people interested in auditioning for the next movie like Sir Weissenasche, and there was no reason for Joshua to reject the request of the old veteran actor. Hence, he decided to set up a proper entertainment company.
In Norland, the closest thing to an entertainment company that he could find was a merchant guild.
"Are you interested in… trading, Sir?"
"No, this guild will be a bit like the guilds formed by spellcasters, except that the members in my guild will work as actors, painters, and the like."
Joshua wanted to build a merchant guild that focused on the trinity of the entertainment industry, namely gaming, film, and music. However, he had not decided on a name yet. He considered calling it the Earth Entertainment Guild, but that sounded a little weird.
"In that case, may I join it, Sir? I believe I can also provide the guild with an address."
Sir Weissenasche knew that spellcasters would form guilds to accept jobs and earn a commission. It was especially common for spellcasters skilled in combat to do so.
"Thank you for your offer, Sir Weissenasche, but I don't think the theater is suitable to be converted into a tavern."
His company needed an office. Joshua had set his eyes on a particular estate in Norland for that purpose, a building owned by the tradeswoman, Melina.
Melina had lost her goods to some thieves and also her status as a tradesperson. Joshua was willing to lend her a hand, but he wondered if she would be willing to take on a different role as manager of Hearthstone Tavern… That was Joshua's intended location for his guild office.

Last but not the least, the archdruids setting up an online auction house business with the gnomes and dwarves as the cultural invasion from Earth descends upon this other world!

It was the day of the premier of the first magic movie: The Wolf Princess. The movie had a gripping story about a young girl overcoming her fears and coming to terms with herself. It would be a story that brings tears to people's eyes. Roland also intended it to be propaganda, in order make the people more accepting of new things, specifically witches with nonhuman appearances. The release of The Wolf Princess would be another milestone in the integration of witches into society.

Many notable people attended this first viewing of the movie. Among them were various top officials of Neverwinter as well as wealthy merchants from other cities. The renowned playwright Kajen Fels had come to watch the movie. Also attending was Steven and Zero.

Steven was no stranger to movies, but there were reasons that he wanted to see this one. Besides the fact that it was groundbreaking for this world, the magic movie was also different from movies on Earth, and it was perhaps more advanced in certain areas. The magic movie provided a full immersive experience, much like virtual reality. Since VR movies have not yet been created on Earth, this would be something new. The closest thing there was to a magic movie would be an IMAX 3-D film.

Steven wanted to see the magic movie for himself since reading about it in a book was a lot different from seeing it in person. So, he decided to take a short break from work and took the train to Neverwinter along with Zero to watch a movie together.

Steven and Zero took a seat in the theatre and bought some popcorn. Soon, an ethereal voice was heard throughout the theatre.

"A warm welcome to the magic movie theater of Graycastle. The Wolf Princess is about to begin. May everyone kindly return to their seats and listen carefully to the rules which should be observed. If there're any problems during the screening, please act in accordance with the rules in order to prevent accidents from occurring."

"First of all, the magic movie's duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes, throughout which there'll be no break. You're not allowed to leave your seat on your own. If you require assistance, simply pull on the string of the bell located under your seat and wait."             

"Secondly, this will be an unprecedented viewing experience. Please don't panic no matter what happens, and remember that it's only a very special kind of play, instead of a real event. You'll be held accountable by the Neverwinter Police Department for any harm or loss you cause to a third party."

Many members of the audience began snickering as they thought the statement was ridiculous. They couldn't conceive of how anyone would be able to mistake a play for reality. Steven smiled. Unlike the others, he wasn't amused by the warning statement, rather he was amused by the reaction of the audience. Soon, they would be in for a shocking experience. He wished he could see their faces when the movie started.

"The show shall now begin."

The room dimmed and then there was a flash. Then, everything turned pitch black. Steven did feel that darkness was somewhat disconcerting. However, hearing the screaming coming out of the other audience members made him laugh.

As the light reemerged, a cold snowy land was shown. The movie was all encompassing and it was like he was actually actually there. The scene was quite breathtaking. It was a very amazing experience and Steven was very impressed. It was so much more awe inducing than reading about it in words could have shown. He almost couldn't fault the other audience members who were currently sinking into hysteria.

As the movie progressed, more and more amazing images were shown and the action scenes were quite nerve wracking as it seemed to be happening right in front of his eyes. Steven could feel the adrenaline coursing through his body. The audience members were all making noises, too shocked by the scenes to control themselves. While it was amusing at first, Steven started becoming annoyed with the other noises being made.

Overall, the movie was quite good. The singing had been amazing; Steven didn't expect that music could be so good, even with magical assistance from Echo. The production quality was good. Although things could be better, the movie was already leagues above any play that existed in this world.

After the movie ended, everyone left the theatre and went to the waiting hall where they began eagerly discuss the movie. "The magic movie was amazing", Zero said. "I didn't imagine Stones of Recording could achieve such great effects."

"Indeed, magic is very useful for this. The movie was quite impressive", said Steven.

"Yes, it was something truly different. The imagery was very vivid", said Zero. "I wish that we could watch more of these movies."

"Well, how about we make magic movies ourselves", Steven suggested. "Then we could watch them all the time. It could also just be us two alone watching it, without all of these other people."

"Mmm." Zero seemed quite pleased with the idea.

"Our movies will be just as good as this one", Steven said confidently.

"I thought the plot of this movie was very good", said Zero. "It also seemed quite unique."

"The plot…" Steven had an awkward expression on his face. "Unique? Roland just knows how to copy."

At that moment, Roland approached them. "What did you think of the movie? Was it good?", he asked.

"Oh, we were just discussing your plagiarism", Steven said. "Quite a 'unique' plot you had. I suppose Frozen was as fine a choice as any. You should be glad Disney doesn't exist here to sue you."

Steven began looking around, just to make sure that there weren't going to be Disney goons suddenly appearing out of thin air. Disney was quite protective of its copyright, and they had a very long reach. Steven could only hope that being in another world would put them far enough away to be safe.

Roland chuckled. "I am the King here so Disney can't do anything to me."

"The production quality was decent", Steven said. "It looks like you really did put a lot of effort into this."

"It is the first movie, it has to be the best to give magic movies a good reputation", Roland replied. "Also, it was important for propaganda purposes."

They talked a little more about things before they left. On the way out, Steven ran into Kajen Fels, who was still looked somewhat overcome by the entire experience.

Steven approached him and started talking to him. "Are you Mister Fels, the renowned playwright?"

"Yes, that is me. Though I suppose that I have been outdone", he replied.

"You seem very impressed by the magic movie", Steven said.

Kajen nodded. "It was truly amazing. The magic movie will be revolutionary."

"Are you planning on making a magic movie in the future?", Steven asked.

"I plan on asking King Roland to allow me to work on magic movies. I hope that he will have a spot for me", Kajen said.

"I see. Well I hope you have good luck trying", Steven said. "It is always good to see someone established for a long time embrace new technologies and advancements. If Roland doesn't have a spot for you, feel free to come to Hermes."

"Oh? Who might you be?", Kajen Fels asked.

"I am the church's prime minister", Steven replied. "I am quite interested in magic movies as well."

"I will keep you in mind then", Kajen said.

After talking with Kajen Fels, Steven left along with Zero and took the train back to Hermes.

Around dusk, as the sun was slowly setting, the group was packing and preparing to move to a new location Ember Island.

"Won't we stick out, like pink flowers in a snowfield?" asked Ty Lee.

"It's our best bet; father hasn't visited this place for over eight years," said Zuko.

"Yeah, but he has two royal family members on the loose. Not to mention me, I'd stick out fast," said Zhan.

"We just have to stay low, not a problem," replied Azula.

"Despite the rumors, Ember Island is more like a high-rich isolated village. Only a few people would recognize us, and those people are mainly on vacation."

"Well, that solves one thing, what about Katara's mom?" asked Ty Lee.

"We are leaving her with my dad," said Katara. "He will be...surprised, and with her and our condition, we can't take her with us."

"So how will we get there while you're, delivering your mother?" asked Zuko.

"How?! When?! Did you make that?!" asked Sokka, surprised.

"Dude...I have made flying machines and weapons, along with various other contraptions of high design," said Zhan half-insulted. "You think I can't make a simple, floating ship?"

"He got you there," chuckled Toph, behind him.

"Oh, shut it!" replied Sokka.

After half an hour of packing, the group was ready to depart to their various destinations.

"Easy, easy!" repeated Katara, while both Zhan and Sokka slowly carried Kya.

"Relax Katara, I carried her out by myself days ago," replied Zhan, as they reached on top of Appa and gently placed her there.

"You sure you don't want to come, with us Sokka?" asked Katara, as only Aang was flying her and Kya to her father, the rest was going to Ember Island.

"I'm good I've had my time with my father, it would be only fair if you had your time with mom," replied Sokka. "Also, somebody has to keep an eye on the others."

"Okay..." chuckled Katara at the last comment. Then gave her brother a quick hug. "See you soon."

"You too..." replied Sokka.

"My little warrior...all grown up..." said Kya as she hugged her son. "...I'm proud, of you dear..."

"Thanks...mom," replied Sokka as he jumped down from Appa. "Bye..."

"Bye...see you soon!" yelled Katara as she and Aang took off.

"SOKKA! Hurry up already!" yelled Zhan, waiting on the small dinghy.

"I'm coming!" replied Sokka.

"Sail ho!" said Zhan, loosening the sail as they sailed off.

"Aye, aye admiral!" teased Sokka.

"Admiral?! Do you know how much paperwork that is worth?" replied Zhan jokingly. "I'll stick to being a dinghy-captain."

"Well...that was an interesting trip," said Mai, departing as the dinghy reached the beach, half-dizzy.

"Oh...Zhan, I know you can invent stuff..." said Azula, seasick. "...but you can't sail if your life depended on it..."

"It wasn't that bad," defended Zhan.

"It was!" said everybody, except for Toph, who felt fine.

"You rocked the ship twenty-seven times, got caught in a tailwind which made us spin around twice, and you got stuck on a reef," said Azula.

"Whatever...we made it here," shrugged Zhan. "You can take it apart now."

"Righto..." replied Toph as she earthbended...the bottom hull of the ship as it soon sank into deep.

"So that's why you didn't get seasick!" realized Sokka.

"Yup...had solid earth under me," replied Toph proudly.

"Okay. We got here somewhat. Let's head to the summer house before somebody sees us," said Azula, as she, Zuko, and Zhan covered themselves up.

"This will be a depressing place..." sighed Azula, as they made their way to the house.

It took Katara and Aang the better part of the day before they arrived at the sibling's summer house on Appa.

"So how did it go?" asked Toph, as the two got off Appa.

"A very-special reunion," said Katara. "Dad almost fainted when he saw mom again. Yet I saw in his eyes, the happiest moment of his life."

"Explains the lateness," said Azula, which caused the four to laugh.

"Although. You sure it's a good idea to hide out here?" asked Katara.

"...Ozai doesn't visit this place much, not since we were kids and a family," replied Azula, her father still a painful topic.

"You guys will not believe this! There's a play about us," said Sokka, arriving with Suki.

"Don't tell me!" sighed Azula.

"We were just in town, and we found this poster!" said Suki, showing them a poster of Team Avatar.

"What? How is that possible?" asked Katara.

"Trust me, it is!" replied Azula.

"Listen to this [The Boy in the Iceberg] is a new production from acclaimed playwright Pu-on Tim, who scoured the globe gathering information on the Avatar, from the icy South Pole to the heart of Ba Sing Se," explained Sokka. "His sources include singing nomads, pirates, prisoners of war, and a surprisingly knowledgeable merchant of cabbage."

"Brought to you by the critically acclaimed Ember Island Players," finished Suki.

"Oh goodness, not them again," said Azula.

"You don't like them?" asked Suki.

"Their plays and shows make wanna vomit plagued by a bad script, bad actors, and even better performance," said Azula. "Makes the colony puppet shows, look like actual art."

"Well...you can sit this one out," said Katara. "Although I am interested to see how they depict us."

"Trust me, you won't like it," replied Azula.

"Well, let's see what the others think," said Suki returning to the house where she and Sokka explained about the play that was going to happen today.

"Oh, no," sighed Zuko.

"Sounds like fun!" cheered Ty Lee.

"Sounds interesting," said Toph.

"Sounds boring," replied Mai.

"Sounds like a waste of time," said Zhan, getting a few looks.

"I thought a guy of your...education...would like, something like this," replied Suki.

"Yeah, but as much as I've learned from my seven Ember Island plays, they're: inaccurate, unartful, uneducated," explained Zhan.

"You know, Azula said the same thing," said Sokka, to which he just shrugged.

"Whatever, I just don't like them the Ember Island plays are just too...ironic, they make fun of the wrong stuff, and end up a laughing stock themselves in my opinion," said Zhan.

"Guess you two will guard the house," said Toph.

"Why not?" replied Azula, rolling her eyes.

As dusk approached, most of the group headed to the theatre while Azula and Zhan stayed behind. Ty Lee would watch anything, and Mai got dragged along by Zuko, who got dragged along by the rest.

"Seems like we have the house to ourselves," said Azula.

"Wasn't good the last time we were here," replied Zhan.

"True...You wanna help me practice my bending?" asked Azula.

"Sure. Why not?" replied Zhan as they headed for the courtyard.

"Good night," said Azula as she headed to sleep.

"G'night," replied Zhan, who was lying on a hammock exhausted from their practice session. Azula was getting better each day, yet there were still signs of something troubling her. "Hope the others enjoyed their...show."

Azula soon arrived in her old room, one she hadn't slept in a sense in ages. Yet her tiredness soon overwhelmed her mind, and she soon fell asleep albeit not into a pleasant:

"...You're a monster..." came a voice in her dream.
"...I will kill you..." came another voice - Katara's.
"...What is wrong with that kid...?" came another, Ursa.
"...suffering will be your teacher..." came a voice, she feared most, Ozai.

"Ah!" yelled Azula, as she awoke from another nightmare, that was still affecting her.

But the more troubling factor was the presence of another in her room that was standing in her room, covered in black and eyes on fire, then it attacked her.

"AAH!" came a shrieking scream, as the group near the house.

"That was my sister!" said Zuko as they ran towards the house.

Inside the house, Azula was running for her life, as the assassin brandishing a black blade came after her.

She tried to fireblast her target, yet it seemed to do nothing to it as it swung its blade, barely missing her head. Azula then tried something else a swift kick to its gut, followed by a punch to its face sending it tumbling and dropping its blade.

"Die assassin!" said Azula, as she unleashed her lightning only for it to miss by inches. The assassin on her in a blink, grabbing her by her neck and sending her flying into a wall. "...damn it ..."

In her blurry vision, she could make out the assassin picking up its blade and approach her, yet someone stopped it.

"I don't...think so scum!" replied Zhan, having heard Azula's scream and rushed to help her, currently occupied, with punching the assassin in the head.

The assassin merely grabbed Zhan by his hand and sent him flying into another room, ignoring him and going after Azula.

Azula could see the assassin over her now, its blade ready to strike and its red, burning eyes piercing into her soul.

"Azula?!" came Zuko's voice, as the group arrived and saw the assassin standing over Azula, it looking at them, with its eyes a hint of fear, upon seeing the Avatar.

"NO!" yelled Zhan, jumping onto the assassin's back and pulling it away from Azula.

"Lights out!" said Zhan darkly, struggling and reaching around its head and then...a snap...as Zhan broke its neck. As they decay into a pile of embers, its entire body following until nothing but embers remained. The group arriving next to him and helping him up, shocked about the incident.

"What was that thing?!" asked Katara, worried.

"If I'm not mistaken, then a spirit assassin..." said Zhan. "I thought they were just a children's story."

"I felt it...it was dark and evil..." added Aang.

"They are dark spirits according to legend..." replied Zhan, slowly going over to Azula, who was crying. "It's okay, Azula. It's gone."

"No! It isn't, no doubt my father conjured up this thing he wants me dead!" said Azula, sobbing and not caring at the moment. "You had it lucky Zuko...your freedom was worth a scar. Mine is worth my death."

"Azula, that isn't t-," said Katara trying to calm down the former princess.

"You know it..." interrupted Azula. "Then you'll be, rid of the horrid monster, that threatens your life..."

After that statement, all of the group went silent, even Ty Lee, who was Azula's biggest supporter and friend.

"No...you aren't..." said Katara, breaking the silence. Crouching down and hugging Azula. "You are our friend and companion."

"You might have had your problems Princess, but your one of us," added Toph.

"We've been your friends since childhood Azula, and we support you through everything!" said Ty Lee, with Mai nodding.

"I promised mom, I'd look after you, I intend to keep it now," added Zuko as well.

"See Azula," said Zhan, rubbing her back. "You aren't so alone as you think. Everybody has your back now. So any problems we could help with?"

"Thank you, all of you..." said Azula smiling and wiping her eyes. "Yeah...I got some trouble with sleeping nightmares."

"We can fix that! Aang had some problems, earlier too!" said Katara.

"Come on! Get, up Zula!" said Ty Lee, extending her hand out along with the rest of the group.

"You made some mistakes in the past. But you've shown you're willing to redeem yourself from that past..." spoke Katara. "...and it isn't a bad thing to ask for help, we help each other that's why we're so strong."

"I see that..." replied Azula.

"And don't worry about the old' daddy. We'll kick his butt into a volcano, with our eyes closed!" said Toph, causing the group to laugh, Azula included.

"How was the play?" asked Zhan.

"Annoying, as you mentioned," said Sokka. "Azula was played by a senile old-woman while Zhan was a seagull.

"Yup, really insulting," said Zhan, causing second laughter to envelop the house, after everything.

"Right, now it's just the two of us alone in my apartment..." 'I didn't think about it last time but...' he grasps his chest he felt how his heart kept beating faster and faster.
'And she's wearing the apron that I gave to her...' he tries to hide his blushing face with the palm of his hands.
'I didn't leave anything weird lying around where someone could see, right!? He dashes to check if there is anything that could compromise him.
"Zuko," Mai calls him out. "People who aren't well should be taking it easy," she said while she had both hands on her hip.
"No, it's just, um..." he tried to explain himself.
Mai squints her eyes, "this a direct order," she said in a bossy tone.
"Y-yes, ma'am!"
Zuko took a sit while his elbow was on top of the table. Supporting his head with the palm of his hand as he watches her cook.
*chop, chop, chop.*

'Forget having a girlfriend this is more like having a wife... How am I already better just by watching her cook? Zuko was grinning like an idiot.
"Zuko!?"
"Where do you keep your containers? She slowly turns her head looks at Zuko.
Zuko stood-up, he walks to show M ai were they are stored. "They're on the top shelf."
"The top?"
"Oh, don't worry about it."
"I'll get them," he leans on Mai as he reaches out for the containers.
Mai was stunned as her face slowly change color close to a tomato.
"Zuko!" 
He was shocked, "y-yes!?"
"You just disobeyed a direct order to take it easy!
"Huh!?"
"I have no choice but to punish you!" she said, trying to hide how flustered she was.
"No, buts! Close your eyes and your mouth!
"What is she going to do to me...?

"Thank goodness, fu, fu, fu!"
She feeds him while giving him a shifty look.
"I made a whole lot, so punishment is to eat all up!" She gave another smile that is was enough to kill a diabetic patient.
"Yep, it's totally like having a wife." he looks once, more she looks so cute.

Published first in the Neverwinter Gazette, the Blackfire Queen is an excellent example of how the works of King Roland captured the hearts and minds of his subject during the first decades of his rule. 
Today, it is not unreasonable to say, that the eternal king, may he live forever, is without argument the most important person in the history of mankind. I do not plan to try to separate the man from the myth, but, I do wish to record for posterity, the history and context behind some of the most poignant pieces of poetry and art that emerged from the early period of his reign. 

When I read the Blackfire Queen, I was but a boy- but even then, I knew it was something special, for my father had once taken me to see the railways. I was of course, enraptured. Though today, they may seem mundane, then, it was yet more evidence of the seemingly infinite capacity of our king. Perhaps even without Roland, we might've had the age of steam- possibilities that I often discussed with field Marshall Va'aner. Though he was not an educated man, it was his inspiration that resulted in the eventual penning of the ideal rocket equation on which E.S.A's launches were first based on. However I digress. The Marshall and I concluded that while mankind may have gone through an 'age of steam', for Roland it was ultimately a stepping stone in his grander plans. 
I like to call it his 'Train period'. 
For my readers who sit comfortably by the light of their electric bulbs, it must be difficult to imagine, but although Roland set about to conquering via an unstoppable show of arms, he was not happy. 
He knew of the impending calamities that would later rock the very foundation of our race and did not wish act as a nursemaid to the undeveloped kingdoms of Evernight, Wolfheart and so on. 
However, he couldn't simply leave them to seethe, so, he chose to stamp ownership on the land by way of the rail. 

Today the thirty two temporary foundries that were erected for the rapid creation of the first arterial rail system are either in disrepair or enshrined as monuments. 
When they were first created however, the smelters glowed day and night to produce the rails for the most ambitious civil work the continent had ever seen. 
As the remaining old nobility sulked and plotted from the bloody nose that was delivered via merciful conquest, Roland acted with his characteristic swiftness and decisiveness. 
Over thirty thousand labourers worked on the grand line but it was only with the help of those great pillars of the kingdom, the witches Leaf and Lotus, that such a grand and far reaching project could be accomplished in a mere four months and twelve days. 

The moment the first train rolled through the kingdoms, all who saw it were silenced. 
No matter who they were, merchant, noble or commoner, they knew that this great iron construction was the apostle of a new era. More imposing that an army of a thousand, the king demonstrated it's immense potential by serving fresh fish caught in the reconstructed clear-water portage to nobles in each kingdom. It was then, he famously said those words immortalised by the playwright Rose, 
"It takes years to nurture a horse, but in a week I can build an engine with the power of a thousand."
It is then said, that he was asked of what his demands were.
"I have no demands, because as you are now, you're incapable of living up to my standards. You are free to do what you wish, for I have no moments to spare- but that is the story of today. For when I have but a minute to spare, all who fall behind the times, will be crushed under the weight of history." 
Undoubtedly an over-embellished delivery by the playwright, but, it rings true with the attitude the eternal monarch took towards the loose confederations of traditional landholders he crushed underfoot.

Though the first task of the rails was to secretly construct fortified positions throughout his growing empire, the treasuries of every noble and kingdom were wrenched open to invest in the Neverwinter Railway and Freight company- as it so happens, the first time a firm was ever made public and stock traded in such a manner. While it was for the many investors, an incredibly attractive and lucrative offer, it was also the final blow against resistance to his rule. Before, it was unattractive to sabotage the railway system, after the wave of public investment it became unthinkable. 

The true genius of Roland can be seen in his complete understanding of human desires. While he was touring the kingdoms, he declared that the first hundred most major investors who committed to support the expansion of the rails system within the month would receive special benefits in the form of a 'Golden Ticket' that would forever guarantee them and their freight free passage on the rail network. Of course, at the time there was no microwave relay, trunk line or automobile- and the only rail engine travelled with the king. Hence, all the nobility who wished to capitalise on the unique offer had to send messengers with their swiftest horses without hesitation, and when the horses could go no further, and the staging posts had no more to to spare, those messengers carried on their journey to Neverwinter however they could- boat, foot, newly acquired bicycles and even it's said, a giant bird. It goes without saying that many of the more enterprising messengers took the opportunity to sabotage their fellows wherever they could. 

This was coincidentally the inspiration for a certain Iconic annual event- but once more I digress.
The rails cemented Roland's absolute authority over the kingdoms, delivering the trappings of Neverwinter to the world in exchange for raw iron, coal and gold. 

And here dear readers I must ask you to trust me for this fact you will find in no history book. As a boy, I climbed aboard that first train and had the privilege of visiting the locomotive. 
What I will never forget though is not the heat or machinery, but, a detail my young eyes caught on the side of the boiler. A heart was etched in the metal and within, the letters R and A.
It is to that sight to which I declare this book, for within our belov'd and bless'd king there beats a warm and loving heart.

But his words fell on deaf ears. Fritz, later that night, asked Nicole via email where Ricky lives. Two days later, she went to his subdivision and rang his doorbell. "What about the naughty kids in other sections? Your values are inconsistent," she remarked. "Don't you dare bring me that. I only prioritize this class because I want our class to be the best and all who oppose me will be eradicated." The two opposite forces grew more blind with rage.

"Someday, you and your company will pay the right price," proclaimed Ricky as he faced away from her. While he was speaking, Fritz prepared to knock him out with a cloth of chloroform. To her surprise, Ricky reacted quickly with a punch that broke her nose. Before she can even speak, she met another blow and another. She tried fighting back but Ricky deflected her attacks. When her face was all bruised up, she tried begging for mercy with a faint voice. "Please... Please... stop... I... beg... your... mercy..., " she whimpered. "No. Discipline is ageless and genderless," Ricky coldly answered. "There's a hole in the world like a great black pit and it's filled with people like you, " he continued as he quoted from the playwright Stephen Soundheim.

Ricky noticed the bulge in her pocket. He took it out to reveal a pocket knife and quickly plunged the blade towards her throat. He stopped to collect his thougts as the girl gave up the ghost. "This is it," Ricky thought. "I've done it. Now to execute more."

The well behaved student, Ricky Matyag, seek to improve the behavior of his class by physical violence.

Ai Bao chuckled uneasily.
Wu Hanxiao's name wasn't on the guest list for the event.
There was only one explanation.
He was here… as a freeloader.
After all, Ink Painting on Porcelain was the most well-known professional voice actor in the country, and it would only do Wu Hanxiao good to get himself connected to the guy.

Wu Hanxiao, however, with or without knowing it, had tried his best to make his voice very suggestive, so much so that he would pant every now and then in a coquettish manner.
While the young fans were exhilarated, Ai Bao's face turned livid.
Behind them, An Xiaxia and Su Xiaomo were equally indignant.
"Damn it! Who the hell is this man? He's insulting Lord Porcelain with his voice acting!" Su Xiaomo snapped.
An Xiaxia was just as unhappy. "I want to slap him so much. What's with that horrible panting? He's ruining Porcelain's work!"
Sheng Yize darted a look at them, shrugged, and kept his silence.
At the end, Wu Hanxiao cleared his throat, and began to moan… 
Ink Painting on Porcelain could no longer hide the frown on his face.
Although turning things in that direction could attract more fans, Porcelain didn't like to be used like this.
Ai Bao couldn't stand it anymore. She pushed her way to the front of the crowd and shouted, "That's enough! Shut up, Wu Hanxiao!"
An Yibei watched with great interest as the little woman vented her anger.
Wu Hanxiao stopped at her words.
The fans turned their gazes to Ai Bao, looking disgruntled.
Ink Painting on Porcelain, on the other hand, arched his eyebrows at Ai Bao.
"Your voice acting was awful." Ai Bao clenched her fists and summoned up her courage. "Please stop insulting this play."
The host tried to ease the situation. "Miss, do calm down. Now, if the staff can take her away…"
A few security guards went up in a hurry, but An Yibei's nonchalant voice rang out. "Lay a finger on her and there will be consequences."
Somehow, the security guards didn't dare defy him.
Ai Bao's heart raced and strength she didn't know she had welled up inside her. Looking into the host's eyes, she spoke in a voice that wasn't loud, but was clear enough for everyone to hear.
"I'm Baby Plutus, the planner and playwright of the play Ink Painting on Porcelain voiced just then. I'm lodging a formal protest now. I won't have my work insulted by some unqualified person!"
A hush fell over the audience first, then the crowd erupted.
"Shit, she's Baby Plutus, that really famous planner?"
"Holy shit! Quickly, take a picture for me!"
"She's awesome… Come to think of it, that bottom really didn't sound right…"
Wu Hanxiao flew into a rage. "Enough! Who are you to tell me what to do?"
"Shut up," An Yibei said coldly. Wu Hanxiao backed off immediately after spotting him.
Ink Painting on Porcelain interjected at that moment, "I'm sorry, but I won't be able to participate in the event anymore."
The host and the fans were all dumbfounded.
Ink Painting on Porcelain turned to Ai Bao and smiled. "My friend is upset and I'm going to cheer her up now."
"Wow —" The crowd realized what was going on and began to jeer.
An Yibei adjusted his glasses and smiled grimly.
