So this is my first book,but anyhow it’s about my own personal experiences playing a video game and making some awesome friends with me putting a twist onto it and making it my own  book. It’s from the third person, it starts off from the very beginning when it all started, and it’ll maybe evolve into something great. (That’s asking for a little much though lol)

Yuuki arrived at his new music company's office. He nodded and was quite satisfied with the building. He didn't need it to be that big since there weren't that many people in this place. He bought this building from his father's friend. He had asked the one who designs his house to renovate this building to become a music company. 

There isn't much of thing but it could be used to train in singing, dancing, and recording. There is also a place to rest and play a game inside. 

"Is this the place?" Yukari asked. She was quite surprised since it wasn't that far from both Ousai Academy High School and Fujiyama High School. 

"Yes, let's check it out," Yuuki invited. 

Uomi and Yukari walked together and followed him. 

Three of them entered the building and saw Rossweisse and Eri were there talking to each other. 

"Yuuki," Rossweisse greeted him. 

"You're quite early here," Yuuki said while looking at Eri. 

"I'm a professional, I need to do my job seriously," Eri answered. 

"Who is she?" Uomi asked curiously. 

"Hello, my name is Eri Kisaki, I'm his lawyer," Eri introduced herself to both of them. She took out her card name and gave it to them, "You can call me when he tries to commit sexual harassment, I can sue him right away." 

Yukari looked at her with a surprised expression. 

"Don't worry, I don't need your name card," Uomi said. 

"Why?" Eri asked. 

"Well, I'm the one who usually sexually harasses him," Uomi answered. 

Eri turned her head toward him and looked at him asking for confirmation. 

Yuuki could only nod in response since this conversation was just too troublesome for him to enter. 

Eri looked at her and said, "You can keep it, maybe I can help you when you are being sued by him." 

Uomi realized her mistake and nodded, "Thank you, I will use it when I need it." 

Eri had a lot of clients and also met a lot of strange people. She nodded at her with a professional smile. 

"Have they come here?" Yuuki decided to ask whether the K-On Group had come here. 

Rossweisse nodded, "They're on the 2nd-floor playing game right now." 

"Oh," Yuuki nodded, "Let's go meet them."

Yui, Ritsu, Mugi, Mio, and Sawako had come to this building early. They had met both Rossweisse and Eri on the first floor. They greeted and talked with both of them for a while. 

Rossweisse told them to wait on the 2nd-floor while playing a game and ate a snack. 

They agreed without hesitation and went to the 2nd-floor while touring around this building. They saw a music studio, dancing studio, recording place, etc. They were in the recreation room while playing a game and eating a snack. They saw a lot of manga, movies, anime, and video games in this room.

Ritsu, who was excited, took the game console and started to play it.

Mugi looked at her playing a game curiously since she had never played it before. 

Sawako, Mio, and Yuki were eating a snack while reading a manga. Though each of them had their own choice of the manga.

They still wore the glasses that he had given to them. They knew that they needed these glasses or else it would be very hard for them to go out or have a school peacefully. They also thought that it was kind of funny when they became nerds after they wore these glasses. 

"Ah, turn to the right!!!" Mugi said. 

Ritsu, who played a racing game, also knew that she needed to turn her car to the right but it was very hard to win this racing game. 

"Hahahaha," Yui was laughing while reading a manga. She took a potato chip on her side and ate it slowly. 

"Hiks...Hiks...." Mio blushed and looked very shy when she read a manga that was drawn by Ruki. She had never read this kind of teenage love or ecchi manga before. She was wondering whether she could bring it back later.  

Sawako wasn't that much better since she was reading his Re: Zero since it was her first time to see this kind of novel. She was also wondering what she would do when she was reincarnated into a different world. 

They heard the door open and turn their heads. They had a different reaction but Mio had the most exaggerated reaction. She tried to hide the book but she messed up and opened the most ecchi part of this book. 

Mio was just too embarrassed to do anything right now.

Yuuki entered the room and saw five people there looking very comfortable playing around. He somehow felt complicated when he saw them. He looked at the manga that dropped on the ground and saw it was the part where the main male character pushed the main heroine down. 

"Ah, Yuuki, help me to win this game!!" Ritsu who saw him hurriedly asked.

"Yes, this game is hard," Mugi also shook her head. 

"Yuuki, can I bring this manga later?" Yui asked. 

"Me too, can I bring this novel?" Sawako asked. 

"Aawawawaw," Mio was just too flustered to say anything. She wanted to take the book away but it was too late. 

Eri, Rossweisse, and Yukari also felt weird with this scene since they saw that they were too comfortable. 

Uomi didn't say anything but picked the book that dropped on the ground. She was a bit curious about the scene in the manga where the man pushed the heroine.

Yuuki nodded, "Alright, we can play later since we need to talk about our future first."

On the cloud-shrouded first mountain of the College, a pavilion was standing on the steep summit. Here, one could get a striking view of the entire Book Mountain.
At the moment, there were two old men in the pavilion playing a game of chess. They were clearly the College Chief and Mr. Du from the Cottage. Bai Lishu, who was standing beside them, was somewhat puzzled—such a scene was indeed extremely rare. It was the first time he saw his master and uncle playing chess.
What wind was blowing today? Why does it feel abnormal?
"It has been so long since we last played. Senior, your skills have improved significantly. You are less direct than you were in the past. Now, every move of yours seems natural and yet hidden with more moves. You are a master at it," Mr. Du remarked, smiling.
"Your moves may seem mild, but you have secretly gained control of the entire game. Over these years, you're becoming better at planning and calculation." The long beard of the College Chief swang in the air, and he was sage-like. Although he was old, his voice was firm and stable.
"This is not planning. This is momentum." Mr. Du shook his head.
"You made your moves in the whole Eastern Barren Territory in an attempt to fulfill your wish. So now, how's the momentum?" the College Chief sneered, staring at Mr. Du.
"Senior, why do you have to be so unhappy?" Mr. Du smiled.
"How many years have both of us been cultivating? How long more do I have? Sooner or later I'll pass away. I want to leave here to find a way to break through. Is it so difficult to give you this position?" the College Chief snarled, looking at Mr. Du. "Even if you don't want it, what about your first disciple? Why did you ask him to leave that time? To fulfill your wish?"
Hearing the conversation between the two, Bai Lishu was shocked. Rumors outside claimed that that time, Mr. Du asked his first disciple to establish his own clan instead of staying at the College. The College Chief was extremely dissatisfied with this, and a conflict broke out between the two. The real reason was actually that the College Chief was looking for a person to take over his position, but Mr. Du rejected. Therefore, he thought of the Sword Saint.
This was indeed surprising.
"Senior, do you think I'll be a good chief?" Mr. Du smiled with a lazy expression. "Moreover, I think you're well aware of some other reasons."

"That's true. It's so difficult to change just the Eastern Barren Territory." Mr. Du continued shaking his head. He gazed into the distance and added, "What's coming will come."
Hearing his words, College Chief Xiao similarly raised his head. In the sky, wind and clouds whizzed. Suddenly, the howl of dragon erupted, shocking the entire earth.
On Book Mountain, countless people looked up at the sky, where they saw a real dragon devouring clouds and descend from the height.
The enormous dragon was golden and majestic. Three people were standing on its back. The person who was in front had a crown on his head and was wearing the emperor's robe; he looked all-powerful. He was the most powerful person in the Eastern Barren Territory, the king of Qin.
On each side of the king of Qin, there was also an elder. They looked unfathomable. Apart from them, many cultivators appeared in the sky around them as well. They were powerful nobles from the four major forces which had allied. Now, they had also come to Book Mountain.
Immediately, Book Mountain was shaken. Many people ascended into the air to face their common enemy.
Qin Dynasty finally sent their army to Book Mountain.
Standing on the back of the dragon, the king of Qin looked at the pavilion on the first mountain, as if his look had penetrated across space. He stared at the two elders playing chess and laughed. "Greetings, College Chief Xiao, Mr. Du."
With a cold expression on his face, College Chief Xiao lifted his head and shouted, "Scram." He wished that the king of Qin could scram as far as possible.
At the moment, he was somewhat anxious.
"Senior, since the guest is here, we don't have a reason to chase him away." Mr. Du, however, smiled casually. He looked at the king of Qin in the sky and said, "Please."
"Alright," the king of Qin nodded, smiling. He walked down from the sky, while the two elders followed him closely. On the other hand, the dragon remained hovering in the air.
The various mountain elders of Book Mountain, as well as the cultivators from Sword Saint Mountain and Moon Clan, ascended into the air one after another. They stared coldly at the people opposite them, creating a stalemate.
Goddess Wangyue came near the pavilion on the first mountain but kept her distance. Then, she looked at the two elders beside the king of Qin. Their eyes looked deep, and they were not releasing any aura, but everyone could feel that they were extremely dangerous. In addition, they looked ancient. If they still seemed old despite having cultivated to this level, they must have lived for many years.
The king of Qin landed on the ground, after which he saluted to Mr. Du by folding his hands and said, "I have heard your name for very long, but unfortunately have not met you in person. Today, I came here to visit you. Please do not blame me for disturbing."
His tone was sincere, and he was not hypocritical. Instead, he meant what he said.
Mr. Du was indeed a respected figure in the Eastern Barren Territory.

"College Chief Xiao and Mr. Du, you have been enjoying yourselves. I am mediocre at playing chess. Mr. Du, are you interested in playing a game with me?" the king of Qin said, looking at Mr. Du.
"Please." Mr. Du extended his arm. College Chief Xiao stared at him and his beard swang in the air.
"Senior," Mr. Du shouted at College Chief Xiao.
College Chief Xiao was, however, still staring at him.
"Senior, our visitors are our guests," Mr. Du added. Only then, College Chief stood up unwillingly. Then, he walked to the side the glanced coldly at the king of Qin.
"College Chief Xiao, I apologize for the trouble." The king of Qin nodded at the College Chief. Then, he sat down opposite Mr. Du. The pieces returned from the board as they started a new game.
In the sky above Book Mountain, the people from both the College and Qin Dynasty and its allies all gazed at the situation in the pavilion, feeling somewhat emotional.
The most powerful person in the Eastern Barren Territory and the mysterious and low-key legend from the Cottage were playing a game of chess on Book Mountain.
They all knew clearly that in this game, the pieces would still fall onto the chessboard, but they would affect the whole Eastern Barren Territory.
"Mr. Du, I heard that you are College Chief Xiao's junior, so you're more senior than me. You should go first," the king of Qin said politely.
Mr. Du nodded gently and landed his first move casually, as if it only depended on his mood.
The king of Qin smiled and similarly made his move.
Book Mountain seemed to be very quiet, but the atmosphere was somewhat tense. The sound of chess pieces landing on the chessboard was exceptionally clear.
"Mr. Du, you seem to be making your moves randomly, but without me realizing it you are already taking control of the whole game. Terrific." The king of Qin smiled. Then, he made his next move. Seeing the scene, College Chief Xiao's eyes sparkled.
Mr. Du wanted to take control of the game, while the king of Qin followed him closely. All his moves were direct and aggressive.
Mr. Du smiled and continued the game.
As the two played, slowly, an invisible aura actually spread out from the king of Qin and enveloped the space.
"Mr. Du, you're a legendary figure, why are you confining yourself to such a small place?"
The king of Qin made his move. On the chessboard, there seemed to be a dragon charging out and devouring everything.
"I make my moves after careful consideration." Mr. Du smiled and continued to make his move casually. Immediately, the region where his piece landed seemed to be rescued from the siege. Once they were rescued, they could respond to the whole game and form an unstoppable force.
The king of Qin held a piece in his hand, but his hand hovered in mid-air. The aura around him turned into the shape of a dragon. It was as if he was temporarily trapped.
Finally, his finger landed onto the board. The dragon charged out and wanted to kill its enemy at all costs.
"At all consequence?" Mr. Du shook his head, after which he made his next move. He never once spent time thinking before making his move, as if he had already known everything.
However, his move was still defensive.
"You take control of the whole game. If your plans work out, you will be unstoppable. We do not have much time left. We'll either make or break it," the king of Qin said emotionlessly. He looked at the chessboard, where he felt an invisible pressure. Then, he made his move, which charged into the enemy's territory in an attempt to break the balance.
"You leave yourself with no paths of return. If you lose, you lose everything. Why?" Mr. Du said again and continued the game.
The people on Book Mountain listened to the conversation between the two. There were many hidden meanings which they could not understand fully.
The pieces of the king of Qin and Mr. Du landed on the chessboard, but the chessboard itself could be the entire Eastern Barren Territory.
The king of Qin froze as he stared at the chessboard. When Mr. Du made his last move, the situation changed drastically. He had always been in a defensive position, but after that move, it felt like he could clear all his enemies with one strike. The pieces which the king of Qin sent on the siege all seemed to be in a dangerous position now as if they would be killed immediately.
"Do you still want to continue?" Mr. Du asked.
The king of Qin was shocked in his heart. His fingers trembled gently as he stared at the chessboard, after which he made his move. The two ends of his pieces on the board worked together to form a siege as if they were two dragons. If any of them won, they would engulf their enemies together. "I have already made my move and cannot return. Qin Yu and the rest have gone to Sky Mountain. After the battle there ends, they'll come here."
"Unrepentant. Why?"
Mr. Du shook his head and put down his next move with his hand. Immediately, a region that was under the siege also changed drastically and cut the connection between the two dragons. It was as if this move could decide the game.
"It'll be difficult for them to leave Sky Mountain in one piece," Mr. Du remarked casually.

Sorry for delaying angd long waiting. Many of you gave notices to the plot and I agree with you. The book was proofread and the were lots of changes. I've decided to reload the book from the beginning. 

Those who already read the book, you can miss the reloaded changes. I'll try to update it as fast as possible. 

 

My first glimpse of D&D started from Baldur's Gate more than 20 years ago. Very rare people knew about these games in Russia in 1990s. The first official D&D publication appeared only in 2006, 30 years after it came out in America. By the way, now I look forward to the new Forgotten Realms. 
Honestly, the first game I played was a poorly translated pirated copy. It was constantly keeping crashing on my outdated computer, but I was too fascinated to stop playing it. 
After Baldur's Gate 2 released, I'd managed to meet several like-minded people on the Internet. We made cards on the black-and-white printer and spent many exciting evenings playing the game. There were no more than 30 people in our entire city who were fond of D&D, but all my teenage memories of that period were good memories. 
In August 2006, D&D 3.5 rules were first officially published in Russian. We got a chance to play Neverwinters Night, Baal and received official collectibles. The fan community became huge. I played on the forums, in the icq and irc chats (does anyone still remember about them?). 
Around the same time, I was drafted into the army and was forced to abandon my passion for games. Having returned home and written a small series of books in the post-apocalypse genre, I resumed to my teenage hobby for board games. I devoted them all my time. 
Together with a 30,000 group of subscribers on a literary site, I decided to create a game book that would combine all my past knowledge with my current experience. According to the simplified free-to-use d20 rules, I asked a question at the end of each chapter and wrote the next chapter based on the voting results. For example, once my readers chose a completely unexpected hero class for me. As a result of the unexpected plot twist, I even had to change the book name. 
While facing an important event in the text, I threw a d4 dice for luck, and described the result, taking into account all the characteristics. Later I found out that this approach wasn't very popular with those readers who weren't very much interested in D&D games. However, if you are as big fan of the board role-playing games as me, then I'm sure you'll like the book. You will success in revealing all the secrets of this seemingly simple but multi-layered world.

After Zhao Yao logged in, he started wandering around the Beginner's College aimlessly while waiting for Matcha and the rest to come over. 
"Arthas and the rest said that this game also has many built-in social media applications. It even has Wechat." Zhao Yao sat down on the floor, trying to figure out how to open Wechat.
Right at that moment, he fell into a trance when he realized he was actually able to feel the Book's presence in the game.
"Eh? I can sense the various panels in the Book? I can activate the Diamond Hall too? So I can use the Book in the game?" Zhao Yao's eyes flickered before he regained his composure. "I have Diana's superpower now. Is it because I can do much more things in dreamscape games like Closers World after Diana evolved?"
At the thought of this, Zhao Yao almost activated Level 11 Diana's abilities on the spot to see if he could penetrate Closers World.
However, just as he thought of activating his superpowers, a strong wave of evil swept his senses, as if the whole world saw his as an enemy. Zhao Yao immediately suppressed the thought of wanting to activate superpowers.
He experimented with it for a while more before he understood the situation.
"After Diana's abilities upgraded to Level 11, there was a great enhancement in her powers. I can even use the Book in a dreamscape game like Closers World, and can even sense a premonition of attack from Closers World itself."
Zhao Yao stroked his chin and thought, "If I continue to enhance Diana's Nightmare Lord abilities, I will be able to do more and more things in Closers World. One day, I will attain the ability to fight against those alien cats in the world of the Awareness Dimension."
After setting this target for himself, Zhao Yao continued to find the whereabouts of the Wechat app. Finally, after a few rounds of shouting, an interface of commonly used social media apps in the world appeared before him.
Zhao Yao tapped on the Wechat icon. A message popped out which mentioned that 10 USD were required to unlock the Wechat function.
"Trashy game." Zhao Yao gritted his teeth as he bought the app in the game. Though he was unhappy about paying, it was be too troublesome for him not to use Wechat.
After logging into his Wechat account, Zhao Yao discovered that he had already been added into a group chat with Matcha and the rest of the supercats. The supercats in the group were all gamers that worked for him. Zhao Yao briefly scrolled through the list and saw that there were actually around 70-80 supercats playing Closers World. 
"No wonder Bai Quan told me that the cats in the Cat Wonderland have been slacking off recently. So they have been playing this game all day."
Zhao Yao saw a flurry of emoticons being sent to the chat when he entered. Suddenly, someone asked in the chat, "Who added Zhao Yao to the group?"
The group suddenly fell silent. The next thing he knew, he got kicked out of the group.
"What the hell! Who kicked me out?!" Zhao Yao was instantly enraged. He immediately sent a message to Matcha screaming, "Quick add me in! And who kicked me out of the chat?"
Matcha replied, "Lightning kicked you out. They were scared you wouldn't let them continue playing the game anymore."
Zhao Yao held in his temper as he replied, "Tell them, in this game, there is no distinction between boss and worker. Everyone is equal. After I join the group chat, you guys are free to say whatever you want, I will not blame you guys at all."
"… Okay," Matcha said. "I'll add you back into the chat."
Zhao Yao was added back into the group chat and immediately saw a flurry of messages that read things like, "Long live our Boss!"
Zhao Yao said, "Enough, stop trying to bootlick me. Let's all work hard together in Closers World from now on and make a mark for ourselves."
Lightning exclaimed, "Hurray! Are we going to create a guild? Whoever offends us, we'll kill that person until they quit the game."
"What nonsense are you on about again," Zhao Yao said. "Come to my office after work tomorrow. I want to have a chat with you. Your work attitude has been a little problematic recently."
Lightning was speechless.
Roly Poly asked, "What are we supposed to do in the game?"
Zhao Yao was surprised. He asked, "Roly Poly, you're playing the game too?"
Roly Poly said, "I haven't started playing. I just heard that you had some things to do in this game, so I asked the cats to add me into the chat first."
"Very good. I'll not say any more on Wechat. Let's all just gather at Beginner's College first. I'm standing at the entrance of the College. My ID is Zou x GuangYuZhui."
After Zhao Yao mentioned that, he did not send anymore messages and stood at the entrance of Beginner's College to wait for the supercats to arrive.
Not long after, a cute, young lady shorter than 1.5m skipped over to Zhao Yao and stood before him, staring right at Zhao Yao. 
Zhao Yao glanced at the Lolita. Her ID was "Irresistibly Meng".
Zhao Yao asked when he saw her staring at him, "What's the matter?"
The Lolita immediately spoke in a greasy male voice and said, "Zhao Yao, it's me. I'm Roly Poly."
Zhao Yao's good mood was instantly ruined. He stared at the cute face before him and said, "Why did you use a female character? And you made it so… so…"
"Cute right?" Roly Poly said. "I knew you would like this kind of look, so I looked up online tutorials and gathered data from other people to create this look."
Zhao Yao was exasperated. "Do you know that speaking in a male voice with that face makes people really uncomfortable?"
"I can keep quiet and not speak." Roly Poly giggled as he sat beside Zhao Yao. He asked, "Zhao Yao, do you want to touch me?"
"Ah?" Zhao Yao was flustered as he immediately said, "What are you talking about?!"
Roly Poly patted his chest and said, "I said, do you want to try touching me? Don't you like to stroke us all the time? Want to try stroking us in the game?"
A new player who was just passing by suddenly heard a male voice saying all this to another male. The player turned around and gasped in shock at what he saw before walking off hastily.
Zhao Yao was furious. "Roly Poly! Stop saying all this nonsense in the game! Look, other people are getting the wrong idea!"
"Oh," Roly Poly said passionately. "Don't worry, Zhao Yao, just try it. When I went on the forum to search for online tutorials, I realized that many humans want to try touching as well. You can try it too."
"Don't come near me!" Zhao Yao stretched out his hand to push Roly Poly away, but he and Roly Poly were both at the same beginner level in the game, so their powers were around the same level. After some tussling, a bolt of lightning struck down on them. 
Roly Poly was immediately expelled beyond five meters. When he looked at Zhao Yao, his mouth hung open in shock at what he saw.
At that moment, Zhao Yao's head had turned into a pig's head. The words "Kink for Molesting Females" was added in front of his ID in yellow.
"Kink for Molesting Females Zou x GuangYuZhui." Roly Poly was shocked. "Zhao Yao you've suddenly gained a new ID? Is this a hidden reward?"
"Reward your head! This must definitely be a punitive measure of this dumbass game! It even said that my attack and defense power have been reduced by half! That and this ID will be in effect for half an hour!"
Zhao Yao was about to explode from anger at the ID on top of his head. This was at the entrance to the College. There were too many new players walking around. Seeing the varying stares of admiration, disgust, or even envy from the new players who passed by, Zhao Yao really felt like going offline to kill Roly Poly right at that instance.
However, he noticed a sudden, slight increase in the evolution bar in the Book, and became delighted for a moment.

Zhao Yao, the protagonist of the story, is the most ordinary man you could possibly imagine. Since graduating from college, he had been engulfed by his bureaucratic workplace and its toxic environment. To make things worse, he has neither a car, money nor a girlfriend. The only silver lining was his fat and lazy cat, Matcha, which provided a semblance of company and friendship.

However, things were about to change drastically for Zhao Yao and Matcha. One shooting star will transform their lives into anything but ordinary.

Wang Yu was speechless as he looked at Frost Blade's devious smile.
"So do you want these two skills books and the dagger or not?" Wang Yu asked as he took out the two skill books.
Due to the commotion, Wang Yu had nearly forgotten what he had come to the Secret Jungle for.
"Yes! Of course I do!" After looking at the items in Wang Yu's hand a greedy look appeared on Frost Blade as he took the skill books from Wang Yu and transferred him the money.
"Oh by the way, how much can this be sold for..." After receiving the money from him, Wang Yu took out yet another skill book.
Frost Blade's face contorted with shock, confusion and surprise as he looked at the skill book that Wang Yu had taken out.
[Choke]: Uncommon skill, allows the user to attack with the other hand, dealing 120% Physical Damage to the target, cancelling any spell being cast.
Job Requirement: None
It was another uncommon skill book, it was even a dual hand skill! How was this b*stard so lucky!
In <<REBIRTH>>, being able to use both hands was a very rare occurrence. The system had dictated that only three of the classes would have the natural ability to use both their hands to attack.
Pugilist - Naturally a Pugilist would be able to use both hands, a Pugilist that could only use one hand was unheard of...
Weapons Master - After reaching level 40, there was a passive in their skill tree, [Dual Wield Mastery], that would allow them wield two weapons and fight. Just that their other hand would only deal 80% of the damage dealt by the main hand.
Assassin - Ever since the beta testing phase, Assassins also had an uncommon skill that allowed them to dual wield weapons, but this skill was even weaker than the Weapons Master, only having 60% of the original damage.
All dual wielding skill books were relatively expensive. In the beta testing only one skill book was found in the entire server and it was only a 80% damage skill book. Even for such a simple skill book, the price had been sky high.
The skill that Wang Yu had found not only dealt 120% Physical Damage, but it also could disrupt spells being cast. If such a skill book was placed on sale, it would drive the market crazy!
Frost Blade didn't dare to believe that in less than a week of playing this game, he would be holding such a rare and precious skill book in his hands!
He had the burning desire to just log off now and keep the book with him! And hope to never meet Wang Yu in the future.
"Dual wielding skill!!!" Frost Blade asked: "Where did you get this?"
"I made it myself!"
"You made it yourself???" Frost Blade's jaw dropped, you could make your own skills in this game? How come he had never heard of this before? Was this some sort of system error?
Wang Yu nodded his head: "Mm, my job has a skill called [True Expert], which allows me to turn my own attacks into a skill in the game! The system seemed to have recognised my attack just now when I was killing those players and turned it into a skill book."
"Heh..." After hearing Wang Yu's words, Frost Blade let out a deep sigh: "Even though this skill seems kind of dodgy, but it was something made for you!"
Based on Wang Yu's words, he was a martial artist, and the skills that he knew were not limited to just [Choke]. It was likely that if he continued to play this game in the long run he would be able to create more and more skills.
Frost Blade sheepishly said: "I'm going to be honest with you Iron Bull. This skill book is simply too expensive! I cannot afford it...
Wang Yu cheekily replied: "So there are things that even you can't afford!"

"Even though this thing is very useful, but it's still a consumable item. 5 silver for one unit of it, what do you think?" Frost Blade asked.
Wang Yu replied: "Okay! Let's go with that!" 5 silver coins were equal to 50 dollars, that was a lot of money!
"4 gold coins for eighty units of limestone powder, here's the money!" Frost Blade immediately took out 4 gold coins and handed them over to Wang Yu.
After finishing the trade, Frost Blade asked Wang Yu: "Speaking of which, where does this thing even come from? Does anyone else know?
Wang Yu explained: "It's dropped by the Dusk Vagrant's, I've used this thing against the people from Apocalypse guild so they probably know."
"Dusk Canyon... do you have any buyers for that title deed?" Frost Blade asked.
"Nope! I don't know many people"
After hearing what Wang Yu had said, a devious grin appeared on Frost Blade's face: "Keep it, sell it to Fearless later! Hehe!'
A cold chill ran up Wang Yu's spine as he looked at Frost Blade.
The duo left the Secret Jungle and returned to Twilight City. The closer they came to the city, the more players they saw. The scene outside of Twilight City was reminiscent of the scene outside beginner village.
The sheer amount of people in the area had scared the Thieves and Robbers whitless, causing their attributes to be reduced by 10% as they quaked in their boots. Wang Yu sighed at how realistic the game was.
As the duo walked towards the gates of Twilight City, a platoon of city guards in their shining armour started to walk towards them.
Frost Blade's seriously asked: "Brother Bull, how many people did you kill just now?"
"Probably a dozen or so…...weren't you there as well just now? What's the matter?" Wang Yu inquired.
Frost Blade hurriedly shouted: "Run away now!"
"Why?"
"You'll be killed for killing other players!" Frost Blade shouted.
As an online multiplayer game, <<REBIRTH>> did not mind PK, but it could not be programmed in a way that would allow players to thoughtlessly go around killing each other. Hence, the game designers included a PK score.
In <<REBIRTH>>, if you killed one person your name would turn grey, if you killed two your name would turn yellow, but if you killed five or more players your name would turn red.
Players with red names would not only be unable to enter towns or cities, but they would be attacked by the city guards if they came close to the city.
Of course, the names of all players were kept hidden at all times, therefore a normal player would not be able to tell who had a red name.
With how well designed the game system was, the NPC's could easily see the PK points of each player. For someone like Wang Yu with 16 PK points to try to enter the city through the front gates was simply too brazen!
Wang Yu raised his fist and asked: "Are they strong?".
Looking at Wang Yu preparing to fight, Frost Blade rolled his eyes and said: "They are all masters in the jobs, they can even take down a Divine Tier boss, do you think they're strong?"
"..." After hearing what Frost Blade had said Wang Yu's expression turned grave. This was simply too unfair! Given that he couldn't even use 10% of his actual abilities in this game, even if he used all the skills at his disposal to fight these guards, he was sure to die!
Just as Wang Yu was about to run away, the guards had already rushed over!

After that was browsing through houses and choosing a place, then packing his belongings and getting a moving truck to transport his stuff. 
With the hassle of all these tasks—although he was a bachelor—he would need to spend three to four days to settle down. 
However, though they had a huge household now, it was surprisingly easier to move with over a trillion subordinates under his command. 
It was because all of their belongings were with Sir System—they would be wherever he went. 
That was why he never worried about getting robbed. 
After deciding to move out, the only thing needed was to inform Old Man Zheng who was on Earth, then fly directly to where the Seven Lunar Mansions of the Azure Dragons were and everything would be done. 
As the nodes for the Milky Way Nets Above Snares Below had fallen into place, it was also easier to fly over and land on a nearer node, then teleport themselves over after.

"Where should we stay?" Sir System asked. 
"At the First Mansion of the Horn, of course, there's the beginning of everything," Fang Ning said as a matter-of-factly. 
"And I thought there was something more special to it, is it that simple?"
"It's always been this way."
As they spoke, the Azure Dragon arrived at the First Mansion of the Horn. 
As the long dragon appeared in this empty segment of the Galaxy, starlight had bouts of quivering. 
"Eh, that fellow still remembers me?" Sir System stared at the faraway magnitude 1 star, the First Mansion of the Horn and asked. 
"Can it not remember you? You became so big and buff at the time, you must've left a deep psychological trauma on its little heart," Fang Ning said, dumbstruck.
"I see, I should grow stronger then."
As he spoke, the Azure Dragon started growing bigger and longer and went specifically in front of the star and showed off its wings. 
As expected, the star started to tremble intensely as if it met its worst enemy. 
"No wonder, there are so many saints in the Upper Realm, it's so easy to fool this newly-born planet consciousness," Fang Ning said shaking his head. 
"Alright, it should submit by now," Sir System answered smugly. 
Then, the Azure Dragon flew to another planet and shrunk its body—but not by a lot.
Its dragon head was at the North Pole and its tail at the South Pole, every degree of latitude was circled by the dragon's body. 
"It's not been easy, I can finally stretch my body as I please now," Fang Ning said, satisfied, "Quick, let me see what your System Domain looks like?"
"It'll be done right away."
The entirety of the Azure Dragon's body started to emit rays of bright white light that surrounded the whole unnamed planet. 
"It's done," Sir System replied. 
"This, this is too fast. Are you sure this isn't a pirated version of the System Domain?" Fang Ning was shocked.
"You'll know when you head out and take a look."
Fang Ning floated out of the System Space and was met with a deserted terrain.
The surface of the ground was covered with rocks as a bone-chilling wind kept blowing, it seemed like it was quite a distance from the bright star, the First Mansion of the Horn. 
Over the faraway horizon shone a range of mountains—uh, it was his dragon body. 
"There isn't any difference?" Fang Ning said, puzzled as he looked left and right and found nothing special.
"Uh, sorry, I forgot to add a Dog Eyes buff for you." Sir System apologized. 
System Notification: [The System has unveiled "Spirit Gaze" to share its visual effects with the Host.]
Fang Ning was instantly stunned, after that, he looked down at a boulder nearby. 
As he reached out and swiped, the boulder became a neat stack of building stones. 
"Tsk, it became a world of codes?!" Fang Ning exclaimed in surprise. 
The solid entities before him that he originally saw had all become data objects. 
As an ex-programmer with ten years of experience, he quickly got familiar with it. 
With a mere simple touch of his hand, he managed to change the boulder's object properties to become building stones. 
"Hahaha, this is the extent of my System Domain's prowess, bet you didn't expect that huh? Ah, here, this is an exclusive System programming manual, get back here and quickly get familiar with it, I'll entrust you with the important task of building the System Kingdom," Sir System said proudly. 
A 10m meter thick book then fell to Fang Ning's feet. 
Fang Ning's face paled. 
He said faintly, "This is too sudden, why didn't you let me know earlier so that I can be mentally prepared for this?" 
"Nonsense, if I told you, wouldn't you have sneakily done some preparations?" Sir System was presumptuous. 
Fang Ning had no courage to open the ginormous book, he could not imagine that after going around so long, he still ended up with this impressive job as a programmer!

At this moment, Heavenly Book baby in its bright golden glow similarly flew out of the System Space.

After that, the Heavenly Book flew into Fang Ning's arms.
"It'll be easier for you now, Master, I repackaged it for you," Heavenly Book baby said as it flipped open its pages.

Fang Ning was overjoyed, he took a look at it and found a game scene on the open pages. 
The scenery in the game corresponded with the view before him. 
No longer were there glaring codes and data and in their place was an actual game. 
Just like playing a simulation building game, he quickly started to build a house on that page. 
Before him, a house appeared simultaneously. 
Sir System muttered sulkily. "Damn it, you can't do this, you're cheating, you have to program with underlying codes, only then will it be effective, playing with these surface visual programming will just waste away your skills."
"What do you know? Visual programming is the trend now." 
"Mmm, I'll build you your System Kingdom right now, what style do you prefer? Gothic, Han and Tang Dynasty-inspired, sci-fi or mystery style?" Fang Ning squatted on a rock while holding Heavenly Book baby closely as he started playing excitedly. 
"I was so blind to have actually created a stupid book like you…" Sir System said weakly. 
"Stop grumbling over there, isn't this a way to encourage a happy working experience? I'll satisfy all your demands, so complain less and work more, are you unhappy to see me relax?" Fang Ning asked distastefully. 
"Build me a sci-fi style one then, I want people to be scared half to death when they see it, but it must also conceal my true nature. Star-destroying cannons, black hole weapons, Milky Way maelstroms…" Sir System finally let Fang Ning go and started listing his demands. 
"No problem, you sure have a lot of ideas, I'll do it for you now." Fang Ning quickly started operating on the game. 
As he operated, the deserted ground started changing unceasingly. 
Pieces of crystal-shaped materials appeared and then started building their future sci-fi base…


Procrastinator extraordinaire, Fang Ning, had lost his consciousness after banging his head on a night of celebration. He woke up to a realization that he no longer had control of his body, as a System had taken it over. Will he eventually regain control of his body or will he be trapped in his body forever? How does he maneuver this situation? What's in store for Fang Ning?

Today is September 6th, 1999. Shalnark realizes that Greed Island is not a game, but a real world in September 15th, 1999. The same day Feitan and Phinks start to kill other players. I could play till September 14th and safely tell the secret to others. Then they would most likely try to enter the game illegally, so that they can take all the goods from here. But they would get teleported by Razor. 

I looked at Feitan and Phinks and asked, "Do we have a deal?"

"Prove us that you're from Meteor City!" said Feitan.

I took out the ID given by the Organization and gave it to them. I followed by saying, "This is my ID."

After looking at my ID for a second, Feitan returned it to me and said, "You have an ID given by the Organization but you're now just a bird. I can't just believe you. You could've just stolen it."

I looked at him and answered, "I showed you who I'm. If you don't believe me then I would just leave. You're not the only people with a game. But remember the secret I hold is helpful to you. It's not me asking for help but I'm helping you for a small price!" After saying those words I started to fly slowly upwards.

Feitan looked at Phinks and ten looked at me and said, "Wait! You can join the game."

After hearing those words I landed next to Feitan and said, "Let's go then!"

Three of us arrived at Phantom Troupe's hideout pretty quickly. There I said "Hi" to everyone and joined a game. Surprisingly after wearing a ring and connecting with a game card. I could join the game as a bird, after I perform Hatsu in a gaming console.

When I looked around I saw that I was in introduction space. There a young woman with a slim figure, big azure eyes, and long, silver hair parted in two ponytails by a helmet. She wore a black, sleeveless robe decorated with eye motifs: one right below her collarbone, one in the middle of her chest, and one on the upper part of her abdomen. Each of them has an azure clear and a blue pupil without iris. She was one of the G.I Game Master, Eta. She started introducing me to game mechanics such as specified slots, unnumbered slots, book, and gain.

All players will have a ring that allows them to use two keyword spells in the game (and is also required to join the game):

1. Book - by saying the keyword "Book", it will cause a Card Binder to materialize for the player's personal use to stash cards.

2. Gain - by saying the keyword "Gain", an item in its card form will turn back into its material form but can't return to its card form again.

The goal of the game is to collect 100 specified cards and fill binder slots with the properly specified cards. There are also a total of 45 unnumbered free slots in the binder for storing "undesignated" numbered cards. The binder can also be used to check the names of players met on the island.

I really have to praise Eta's professionalism. Talking bird is not an everyday thing but she kept explaining the game mechanics like I'm a person. It's actually a praise worthy.

After the introduction I arrived at the game. I exited the Shiso Tree(starting point of the game). And started to explore the game. My mission was to enter and play the game. I don't know what system meant by playing so I took a safe road.

I flew towards the badlands. Badlands: A series of hills (composed of eroded sedimentary rocks) in dry terrain with minimal vegetation and inhabited by many monsters. It is where Gon and Killua were trained by Biscuit. I would just go there kill few monsters and see if system counts it as playing the game.

When I arrived at Badlands I saw my first prey. It was Hyper Puffball. It looks like a small black round fluffy puffball with a tail and skinny legs. The Hyper Puffball's ability to bounce at high speed propels it in straight seemingly random trajectories which actually has a pattern, through careful observation it is possible to anticipate Hyper Puffball's moves and catch the creature; then turning it into a card. After I received the card I summoned the book and put it inside the binder.

After that I again started to search for a prey. I looked around and finally I spotted a Bubble Horse nearby. The Bubble Horse releases white and red bubbles from its mouth, and shakes them off with his tail. The bubbles spread around and act as a diversion. White bubbles will burst if they come in contact with aura. On the other hand, red bubbles will burst if they touch anything other than aura, if it's a person in a Zetsu state, or any other object. To counter against this tactic, a player needs to keep track of all bubbles, diverting from them or switching quickly between Zetsu and Ten when contact is inevitable, until they reach the horse and grab it.

Like that I started to hunt the monsters. Next day I already hunted every type of monster found in Badlands. After that I looked at my system and surely it stated I completed the mission. 

Now I had to wait till September 14th and then leave the game. I found a tree branch and started to take a nap.

Although Kazuya was glad that he found Autumn Mist, his eyebrows couldn't stop twitching. He finally understood why people like FriedKandule messed with her. She donned herself in items that could only be obtained by buying the premium access to the game combined with a fashion pack that was so overpriced that even veteran gamers refused to get it. 

"Really this girl…"

He remembered this girl to be quite picky about what equipment she would use. She would always scold him if he wore different types of equipment that didn't match and he would have arguments with her for not wearing better equipment just because she didn't like the way it looked on her character.

Fried Kandule's character looked like he noticed the girl moving on the field noobishly as well. Her character was supposed to be a close combat mage but she was casting spells from a distance and running away as soon as enemies came close. Being a normal player who couldn't afford such luxurious things, Fried Kandule of course thought that it was a waste to that newbie have those kinds of items. 

Kazuya hid near the trees as Fried Kandule approached Autumn Mist and the monsters she was attacking. The bulky swordsman gave a helping hand and eliminated the stray goblins that were attracted by her AoE attacks. He was experienced and the enemies were weak so the battle ended pretty quickly.

[Autumn Mist: Thank you for your help!]

[Fried Kandule: No need to thank me little missy. Are you new to this game?]

[Autumn Mist: Yes! this is my very first time playing this game]

[Fried Kandule: do you want to know a secret? You can get stronger by removing the newbie protection icon at the lower right portion of your screen]

[Autumn Mist: Really?]

[Fried Kandule: That's right. You're given a protection when you start the game that lasts until you're a few levels higher. The protection itself acts as a limiter to reduce your strength so you can get a good grasp of the game. Removing it will enable the full power of the spells you've learned]

[Autumn Mist: I was wondering why my spells were so weak as a magician. So that was the reason! How do I remove it?]

[Fried Kandule: first you need to right click on the shield icon. Then you should choose to deactivate it]

[Autumn Mist: Give me a moment]

She of course trusted this seemingly helpful experienced player. This was very much unlike the person who was skeptical over trusting new players she met. Kazuya smiled and moved his character to stop in between the two. He started typing quickly to make her stop the mistake that cost her to not play the game for a while.

[Winter Fog: Please don't be fooled. If you deactivate your newbie protection, not only will you lose protection from being killed by other players, but you also lose any bonus experience you get from doing quests]

Since this was a game, he really wasn't able to see if the person got the message so he watched the shield icon when he analyzed her character. It was still present so he glad that she hesitated.

[Fried Kandule: Hey who are you? Why are you trying to fool other players?]

[Winter Fog: Fool other players? The descriptions of the protection buff can be found if you read the website. Also, your name has been mentioned in the forums for victimizing new players and ticking them into removing the buff to kill and rob them. I'm sure you will be suspended or banned soon enough]

Fried Kandule's character remained motionless. He must have checked the forums to find out if what Kazuya said was true. He did indeed trick a few new players but didn't think they would go as far as make a big issue out of it in the forums. Being a beta player, he had much to lose if his account gets suspended.

He talked to the silent warmage. He knew that she had been observing since the idle icon still hadn't appeared. 

[Autumn Mist: Thank you for your help and advice. I almost fell for it because of my stupidity]

[Autumn Mist: The spring petals bloom, Summer rain washes away gloom…]

[Winter Fog: The autumn mist makes them fall and the Winter fog envelops all]

[Autumn Mist: You've really read that book… this is amazing!]

[Winter Fog: Aren't you exaggerating? Reading a book isn't something amazing]

[Autumn Mist: you dummy! I wasn't referring to reading a book. I was amazed that you like that same book and even based your name in this game off of it!]

Kazuya smiled. He confirmed that this was the same girl he met. This was the second time he's had this conversation and she reacted in the exact same way. He was happy, he still had doubts that the original owner of such an account may have given it to the person he met so he was glad that this was the same Autumn Mist in his past life. 

[Fried Kandule: You son of a @#@%^! You were one of the people who reported me!]

After checking the forums, the swordsman was once again active and tried to swing his sword at Kazuya's character. He was of course repelled instantly because of the protection buff.

[Fried Kandule: F@#% you! If you're a man face me!]

[Autumn Mist: Don't do it winter. He can't do anything to you unless you remove your protection]

[Fried Kandule: Shut up you noob! Just because you have your protection doesn't mean I can't do anything. I can always show up and kill all the monster you even try to attack. You'll be stuck in the newbie village for a long time and when your protection is gone I'll make sure to get the items you don't—]

The swordsman's continued threats were cut short as a short blade pierced his chest. His hit points immediately plummeted to a dangerous level and it was only then that he understood that he had chosen the wrong person to provoke. The rogue didn't even need to use a skill and another attack immediately sent his character falling to the ground. 

[Winter Fog: I don't have time to harass you but I will kill you every time I see you. You like to rob and threaten others? If I ever hear from my friend here that you even came close to her then I will hunt down every single person associated with you]

He picked up the equipment the swordsman dropped and walked back to the warmage. 

[Autumn Mist: Wow you're pretty strong!]

[Winter Fog: Not really. It's my weapon that's pretty nice. I practiced a few crafting skills to make weapons for myself. Speaking of that…]

Kazuya initiated a trade and gave her a spear he made for her character. She had very nice equipment but her weapon was still of a newbie. 

[Winter Fog: Think of it as a present for our very first meeting. This will help you get stronger and do quests faster]

[Autumn Mist: Are you sure? I really don't know how to thank you]

[Winter Fog: It's just one of the few items I made to practice crafting. I'm not a warmage so I have no use for it so it would be more useful in your hands. If you need any help don't hesitate to contact me]

Kazuya added her a s friend and she accepted quickly. He wanted to spend more time with this friend of his after a long time but decided not to push it. she might feel overwhelmed if he acted like he used to and scare her off. He decided to go back to town to do quests while keeping an eye out for people he needed to find.

[Autumn Mist: Wait!]

[Winter Fog: Do you need something else?]

[Autumn Mist: Umm… Are you busy?]

[Winter Fog: Not really. Why do you ask?]

[Autumn Mist: Do you have other friends who play this game?]

[Winter Fog: Not really. I can only play at night because of how busy I am during the day. You're the very first person I've talked to here]

[Autumn Mist: That's great!]

[Winter Fog: …]

[Autumn Mist: Err… I don't mean that you didn't have any friends that's great… I was referring too you not being busy and me being the first person you talked to. I wanted to ask if you wanted to do stuff with me or something]

[Winter Fog: I see…]

[Autumn Mist: Please don't think I'm weird or anything. I'm really not used to playing these kinds of games and I only tried this one out because it was given to me for free. I'm happy to have met a person who read one of my favorite books and even named their character after one of its most interesting chapters]

[Winter Fog: I really don't mind but… you may surpass me since I only play during night time]

[Autumn Mist: You don't need to worry about that! I can only play during night time as well. So we're pretty much the same right? It's weird… it's like this isn't a coincidence]

Needless to say, Kazuya had succeeded and the two hit it off. He showed her the ropes and even gave her advice about playing the game. It felt like old times only he was the one who was doing the teaching. He didn't consider himself to be one of the top players when he played, but he was knowledgeable enough to play through the game's content until a few years later. 

The two played together every night. Kazuya had kept an eye out but the game was too big for him to find one of them soon. New games always have high attendance when they are released and it takes a while before those who were just here to try it out were gone. It took him three days until he was finally able to find one of the targets. 

This person's IGN (In Game Name) was Void Android. He was a person who made it big but at a great cost. No one believed in the technology of artificial intelligence. As a person who mastered in both psychology and programming, it was his dream to develop an AI system that would respond like a human would. This dreamer was known in the future as the father of human-like androids.

In his autobiography, he confessed to have sold all his assets including his house just to fund his research. His wife had left him because of it and married another man before he could get a company to support and release his research. This was his biggest regret. 

He played an online game to go back to his roots and to think a about why he started his project in the first place. It was due to the community of New Gods online did he never give up on his endeavor and finally made his own company with the help of donations he received through the generous people that heard about his story.

[Autumn Mist: What's wrong Winter? Are you tired?]

[Winter Fog: Sorry, I was just thinking that we're reaching the point where we have to party up with people to get through the game faster]

[Autumn Mist: Do you have people in mind?]

[Winter Fog: I only have you in my friend list so not yet. We can always help people out and ask if they want to join us]

[Autumn Mist: Don't you have friends at work that play this game too?]

[Winter Fog: Work? Sorry but I'm still just a student]

Kazuya hesitated before entering the last message. He knew little about what Autumn Mist did in real life. She would always make a clear separation between game and real life and hardly ever mentioned it but this version of her initiated an inquiry about Kazuya's life outside of the game.

[Autumn Mist: A student!? (◯Δ◯∥) Me too!]

[Winter Fog: Then why are you asking me about work?]

[Autumn Mist: Hehe… You give the feel of being older (・ωｰ)～☆]

[Winter Fog: I'm just a six year old kid you know]

[Autumn Mist: Hmph! If you're six then I'm four! ((⊂(`ω´∩)]

[Winter Fog: Then please call me Onii-sama]

[Autumn Mist: Dream on! ( ￣＾￣) ]

Kazuya was telling the truth but he didn't mind her not believing him. He may appear to be a six-year-old but his mental age was a lot older. The person behind Autumn Mist wouldn't meet with him in the real world anyway so he didn't mind it at all. 

[Void Android: Excuse me! Are the both of you looking for party members?]

Kazuya almost forgot about this person. Since they were near a dungeon, a lot of people were gathering up so Void Android chose to approach the two of them since they were the only ones missing a member. The first dungeon could be completed by one or two people but there would be more rewards if there were more people. Kazuya and Autumn Mist already cleared this dungeon so they were not in a hurry to try again.

[Winter Fog: We were actually just discussing finding new friends since we've only been playing with just us two. Since you're a healer, then it would help us a lot if you joined us]

[Void Android: It would be a pleasure. Though you should rethink it if you want to party up with me for a long time. I only play during nights because of my research]

[Autumn Mist: That's perfect then! We also play during night because of our schedules. That's why me and Winter hang out a lot]

[Void Android: Do you mind if I ask you a strange question then? It's just a something I ask people to see what they think]

[Winter Fog: Go ahead]

He had a feeling what the question would be. It was also mentioned in this person's autobiography that he asked various people's opinion about his project. 

[Void Android: What do you think about programs that could interact with humans like a normal human would?]

Enter Kazuya, a boy who never had any memories before his adolescent life. He was summoned to the world of Edea wherein the final battle against the Demon King, our hero entered the last room to find a welcome he had not been expecting. An unguarded, unarmed demon king who greeted him with manners and etiquette.

As if a respectful and well mannered final boss wasn't shocking enough, he was then introduced into an elaborate plot to exploit summoned heroes. Unfortunately, our naive hero chose to trust his companions. He underestimated human greed which led him to suffer alone in darkness for a time he himself does not know how long. 

When he suddenly woke up, he saw himself as a child back on Earth. As an amnesiac, he had been thrown into an unknown part of his life. What should he do? What about the people who betrayed him?

Follow along as Kazuya finds out about his past and tries to prevent the tragedies he's experienced while trying to change what he knows what will happen in his future.
