I was adrift in the ocean of us be it past present nor future, I was lost I could no longer tell one from the other I knew not where my journy had begun nor when it would end. Maybe knowing nothing is all I would ever know maybe the first time we met would be the last time we would part that is what I thought but I met you all over again a time or two.

After those meetings with Lord Dark-grip and succeeding with the task on having friendly alliances with him, Arty thought she could be able to have a break and relax without any other worries and concerns at all at that time.

But then Arty didn't know that something was going to happen right there and then very soon while she's staying there with the freedom fighters for the time being. And that something is approaching and coming especially for her and only her alone.

It began and started with some kind of trickling feeling in her gut or some sort of mysterious whisper blowing softly to her hearing.

At first, Arty thought that it was just some strange coincidence and maybe it's just the wind flowing by her, but then she started to realize that the feeling inside her deepened like she swallowed a rock or something and then the whispers started to increase more as they hiss by her ears like she's being called by something.

She felt like she wanted to be afraid and fearful at first when she finally realized that she's sensing this, and thought of that she's being haunted by some ghost or phantom that's lurking in the place she's staying in with the freedom fighting group.

But then it didn't take long for her to realize again that this is not some sort of foreboding and ominous being that's trying to haunt or scare her. For she started to also feel some sort of spiritual awareness like she's being called by something grandly divine from the heavens itself.

It was then that Arteria Blaze finally figured out and realized that she was being called by the Trinity Goddess herself and she knew what this means for her.

It is already now the time for her to be tested of her worthiness and be going through the trials of the goddess that she will need to pass through and succeed so that she'll be proven worthy and become chosen as the new wielder of the Fiery Blade.

Once Arty realizes this, she focused on centering the feeling and the sensing that she has felt until it took her for almost a few minutes to deduce and conclude that the goddess is trying to give her some kind of signs within her during the nights while she was sleeping deeply in her slumber.

After she had gotten it and figured it out, it was then Arty had to almost wait impatiently for night time to come so that she'll be able to see what kind of signs the goddess has been sending her in the attempts through her dreams or something.

It didn't take long for night time to arrive, and she went to bed early, even though Arty knew that she had gotten some weird and strange looks towards her from the others when they noticed this. But she was glad that they shrugged it off, thinking that she must have been exhausted or tired from training or whatever chores that she had been doing before.

Once Arty lies down almost hastily onto her bed in sleeping night clothing, her eyes closed with her head down on the pillow instantly and then she started feeling some kind of connection within her very being as the goddess links with her slightly to give her signs or communicate with her to whatever it is that she needs to send out.

First, it was foggy in her dreams, like a dark misty scenery on her mind, but then it became clearer like an image was forming before her very eyes and it wasn't long for Arty to see clearly in the dream-place inside her head for her to see and view the new kind of scenery.

The scenery or place that Arty seems to be seeing before her is what appeared to be some kind of dark cave somewhere out there, but then it didn't take long for Arty to remember this place swiftly and where she had seen it and she knew the reason why this image came to her in her head.

For this is the sign that the goddess is showing her on where her first trials might be or something. And like on cue, the goddess herself seemed to sense that Arty has solved the clue of the sign she has given and then when Arty had woken up from her slumbering dreams, she was surprised to see that it's already the next day, with the sun rising early to shine on the new dawn of the morning.

Arty never thought that the time has come already for her to face whatever trials she will be up against that will be given out from the Trinity Goddess herself. She wondered whether she will be ready for it and that she will be able to face it head-on without fear or hesitation.

Hopefully, when that very time comes as she might hear or somehow sense the call again and signal her that it is time for her to go to that very place she had seen from her dreams, Arty will be fully prepared and ready to face whatever it is that will come at her. And that once she does, she might be able to succeed and prove herself worthy to wield the magical weapon and become the heroine of the story as she had created and written it to be.

After hitting my poor face in the hard floor, I could see the place where I was before… inside the stone wall. Why I was there or even how I didn't die by being locked there, those thinking's come to my head but for now I chose to ignore.

  Looking to my surroundings, I could see a cavern-like environment. The place where I was locked, was the wall inside an underground tunnel? Or some… ruins?  Hmm? Ruins… for some reason I feel that I know quite a bit about those words, but my memories only go to the word…

 Trying to remember, I discover that many things inside my head was like that, mere fragments of memories. Most of them only words, some go to a strange sensation of a familiar voice or feelings, but every time I try to focus in one to gather more details, my head start hurting as hell. No, now that I calmed down, I can say this for sure, my head was hurting, my body feels weak making me feel lethargic.

  While trying to ignore the headache, I walked around the tunnel. Climbing a rock with quite an effort thanks to my weak body, I could get a better look in this place. On the middle of the tunnel, there a strange mark going from a side of the tunnel to the other… as if something VERY big passed here… wait.

 Shit! The roar!! M-Maybe the one that caused those marks and another thing fought here?  Now that I think about, I can't hear any roars since falling from the stone wall, them are fighting while running or one was hunting the other? Well, who cares? At the very last them aren't here anymore, but this is a problem… to which way did they go?

 Damnit. Remember, I don't to end walking behind some scary and giant being. Which side did I hear the last sound? Shit, my head is hurting again, my breath was even getting rough… I get! To the left!

 Then while holding my head between my arms, I waited the headache to calm and got to the right way of the tunnel. 

 Thanks to the marks in the floor of the tunnel, was like walking in a road… damnit, another empty word. Ignoring this strange feeling of remembering only a minor part of the things that I think, I finally got some attention to my weak body while walking.

 A four-legged body, without a tail, my head feels light on weight, although my headache makes feel otherwise, if I had to choose a comparation between the fragments in my memories, would be a puppy? The claws in my pawn aren't abnormally strange or big and by what I could feel by trying to give some weak bites in my frontal leg, my teeth are a bit different from what I can feel from my memories.

 Is really a strange feeling, the way of moving my body and walking are natural to me, but the memories in my head makes me feel strange, was my former body too different? In any way, I need to learn how to live with this body from now on.

 Then, from some time, all that I did was walk the "road" of trails and try to get more information from the fragments of memory. To my surprise, I get to reveal one of them that make me stop walking. Information about the so-called system in the memories, status, stats, skills and others information's come to my head so fast that makes me hold my head between my pawns from pain.

   After the pain stopping, I finally could remember without pain about the information related to the status, and by following them, I opened my status.

 Using my memories as a guide, I could understand the data in the window. The first part, name, gender, age, race and class are my basic data. And I could see the name of the being that I become, "Imus".

 The second part are about my rank as a being and data related to my body and capacity's. Level got up by earning experience be by killing another being or earning achievements in things related to your class, by leveling you earn GP and SP that are, respectively, Growth Point and Skill Point. 

 Growth Point's can be used to improve the stats Strength, Physique, Agility, Mana, Control and Sense; or be used in transition stages to improve parts of your body, in a better wording, Traits. 

 Skill Point's are used to change for skills or to upgrade the already existing skills, although not all skills can be improved like that and some need real training.

 The PR are Power Rating of the being, a value that count the number of stats of Mid or more stage as one-point x the rank value, like this: 

Rank 0 – High (0 PR) + Rank 1 – Mid (1 PR) + Rank 2 – Low (1 PR) + Rank 2 – Mid (2 PR) = 4 PR.

 By understanding this, I can say that I am VERY weak now. The only stat that earn me PR are Control that by some reason is quite high to my level.

 Following, HP are about my health, MP about my mana and EP my energy or stamina. To say the truth, I don't know if I should feel more despair my reading those pitiful values or my low stats.

 In the stats section, are separated by stat – rank and stage – value need to upgrade the current stage. The values of the last field only change the amount need after going from a rank to another, so the same amount you need in Rank 1 – Low are asked in Rank 1 – High.

 The stats have the simple to understand and the complex ones:

Strength: how strong the being is in physical power and carrying capacity. Are related to the muscles of the body, but while a being can show an immense strength above his body can hold, his body may break if the Physique stat can't support.

Physique: how good the body of the being are in exert himself, endure damage or weight, recover from fatigue and injuries and his immunity to things like poison.

Agility: how fast one can move and the speed of his movements. A better Agility also improves the reflexes and reaction of the being and can influence in a battle thanks to having a better evasion, movement and attack speed. Are used as a parameter stat in stealth-type skills that use the body to works (not related to something like invisibility and illusions, those fall under Mana and Control)

Mana: the amount and quality of the mana that the body can hold. Is essential to magic users and those skills that consumes mana instead of stamina. While is good to have a great amount of mana, one shouldn't try to go up his max capacity, after all, mana is one type of energy and how much one can gold depend of the body its ways of storing mana, the called cores. Trying to force the limit may burst the core, which may end killing the being.

Control: how good the being is in controlling his body and energy, be mana, stamina or even foreign substances in the body, like poison. In martial styles, technics and magics, all then require a good amount of Control to show a good performance. Some researchers call this stat as "Spirit" thanks to being able to manage his functions even when paralyzed or sleeping. 

Sense: how good the perception or awareness of the being is, be to physical things or energy. The way that this stat works varies by each being and the amount of the stat, the senses of vision, hearing, smell, touch, taste and special senses related to traits and skills. A low Sense being will have problem to sensing the world around him, while those with a high Sense can feel about things on the ground or through walls by many meters, some can even link his senses in special ways to feel through kilometers and know if something like a spell was casted thanks to his energy perception.

The systems show about the limit capacity (# symbol) and when the being is abusing the stat (! symbol, the more have, the dangerous become)

 Titles are about names, jobs or positions one hold in the world. Is very related to the fame that the being hold but can also be something given from a being of a certain rank like a king or god, sometimes the system itself can give a title by accomplishing or doing something.

 Gifts are great things given to the being by a superior being, things like a blessing of a god, or the grace of nature. Some people hold those gifts from birth while other earn then through achievement or by holding a good impression from the superior being. Those gifts can help the user in many ways, some give specials powers while other improve the already existing power or traits.

 Traits are about the special and abnormal things in the body of the being, a skin resistant to flame, a poisoned blood or flesh that causes damage to enemy's that drink or eat. Many call the change in traits of the beings as mutations, and the non-humanoids being are the ones that change the most. A strong teeth or deadly claw, a different or special organ and gland that can give the being new traits to his body.  Traits can be got through three moments, when evolving and reach the mid stage of his race (use GP as resource), and in special occasions, like extern contact with a different energy that forces the being to adapt or die trying. By changing and upgrading traits, the stats of the being also changes.

 And lastly, the Skills sections that are the specials powers, techniques, magic or actions of the being. From simple actions like bite or punch too things like throwing acid or flames. Hold the data about the ability's of the being like craft or special type of senses. In general, skills can be bought using SP to those that are showed to the being, earned by succeeding in doing the process of a not learned skill or given by external factors (Gifts for example). 

 While most skills can be upgraded through SP, some of then are special and aren't rank in levels from 1~10 but in five stages: New, Low, Mid, High and Max; those ranking can be by following how much the being understand the skill process and characteristics or can be ranked by how much the user hold access, in other words, a locked skill. Most of those locked skills come from bloodline and failing to unlock the upgrade signifies that the being reached the limit he could by his actual bloodline, needing a bigger amount of the bloodline or a superior one.

 After processing the amount of information about the status, I feel tired and depressed knowing how bad my actual body and capacity. My best stat that reached its limit is Control and don't really seems to help me now, while my traits and skills are quite useless to a good start.

 If I have to say, this skill [Growth Controller] are strange. Don't seems to be something unique to my race, but at the same time I don't know from where I earned this skill. Let's try to get more data about those things.

 [Growth Controller=New: let the user store the growth energy earned by eating as GP. Rank-up by upgrading the Control Stat and Level. The higher the rank, more the user can control his growth.]

       Well, with this I can have a better idea of my resources to survive. [Growth Controller] may be related to the unknow Gift or to my Control stat, in any case I can't do nothing with those now and [Growth Controller] now are a passive-type skill.

     Changing my focus, I tried to put my improved senses to work and find more about this place. By hearing I failed earn something while my vision is quite weak apart from being able to see in the dark, but my nose gets something. In truth, is a smell that I have ignoring till now thanks to my headaches and problems, but let's try to follow.

 Bit a bit, I tracked the smells by walking in the right way of where I come from the wall. The close I get from the origin of the smell, the more I feel something inside me resonating, is a strange feeling. 

 When I finally get a look in what I was tracking, I stranded locked in the ground. The origin of the smells that tempted me to follow, was a bloody arm. In the arm, I could see some bite marks as well some burned parts, but the arm itself are at least the double my puppy size.

 Seeing this strange size and remembering the road-like trail that I have walked till now I was forced to remember the noises from when I was stuck in the wall. The being that let this trail in the floor was, without doubts, hunting something so much bigger than me. I could feel my breath getting rough with fear and anxiety going up my head, but after some time, maybe no even two seconds, I feel that something inside me resonating again. 

       Together with that strange feeling, my fear and anxiety being suppressed by another feeling. Hunger. An abnormal feeling makes me understand that the weakness in my body will disappear by letting this hunger act for me.

       When I get to understand this, the resonating seemed to go through a new level, and I started to hear a message in my mind.

       ("Move, Fight, Eat, Evolve, Survive")

 At first, was quite a small noise, but was getting more and more clear to the point where I had to do my best to stop my body of following the voice.

 Why I was trying to suppress this comforting and exciting feeling? At start, I acted by reflex but now I am sure, there something in my memory screaming to not let myself be controlled by those emotions.

 In the end, I stood there, staring insanely to the bloody and juice arm while trembling. The message now, was already screaming in my mind, my eyes are bloodshot from my strain in control myself and my mouth are salivating like crazy.

 I could feel my belly contorting with pain while trying to ask, "why aren't you eating?". My mind, body and reasoning are all being strained only resist the insane temptation of going free to my emotions.

 With the bit that I could use to think, I wondered. How much time has passed? 10 seconds? A minute? I couldn't know, to me each moment was like a hell being prolonged infinitely. After some more time, I could feel myself tiring, my reason and will are already in tatters while the floor being covered by my saliva and sweat.

 When I thought that I would fail to hold myself, something inside me changed. As if a piece falling perfectly in the right place, the damned message disappeared, my mind stopped hurting becoming clear and peaceful while a new window appeared in my mind.

 [Unbreakable Will=Low: a will capable of going against even the worst storms and resisting the worst experiences without letting be controlled. Upgraded by going through great mental strains]

  Just what exactly was all of that? On the moment that I calmed myself, another window appeared.

 <Intervention of the Dungeon resisted. New Title acquired: [Abnormal Monster]>

 A title? And this message… the fucking Dungeon itself tried to control me? Wait… that fellow, the Demon King had said right? That controlling me for a long time was impossible, then why… maybe, because I get in the Dungeon as a newborn monster, the protection that I had in the past failed or couldn't work at it best? So, the headaches I had was because from the moment I get out of the wall I started resisting the will of the Dungeon.

 Now that all of this stopped, I feel delighted and at ease for being able to go through this experience while feeling restless and threatened by the Dungeon that almost changed me in a random and salvage monster only using its will.

 But then, now that the insane urges stopped, the natural ones come. This time, without trying to hold myself, I got next to the bloody army and started biting. The strange taste of flesh and blood overpower me, and I let myself in this moment of bliss, that is, till a new window appeared.

 <Biomass energy received, +1 GP>

 Looking to this window, I thought of the data from my status while eating. Sadly this poor body of mine was too small and I only get to get a 1/4 of the bloody arm, but only with that amount my EP (stamina) get to the limit and the lethargic feeling was gone. Another thing is that I get 2 GP by eating and if this amount continues, I should get more +6 only with this arm.

 By biting and pushing with all my puny strength, I hide the arm in a secluded hole and hide the blood trail by licking or throwing soil. With this, I don't need to worry about food for a day or two… I hope that this body of mine don't be the hungry type.

After a hard live as the hope of the people, one of the heros finaly defeat the last Demon King. But in yours last moments, the enemy casted a spell that converted his soul and the body of the hero as energy to send the soul of the hero inside the laws of the Dungeon.
Now the former hero shall survive as rise again as a monters, will he hold his old belifs against the Dungeon or change to a new being.

You guy's already know what time-travel basically is so I'll just get to the main point: Time travel is only complicated the more you try to micromanage the events that happened as a result of time travel.

In time loops, the focus is usually put more on seeing new sides to people and what they would have done if your specific actions were different. I can reference just about a dozen stories with either time travel used to send the protagonist into a foreign or ancient world and even The Melancholy of Haruhi Our Great God had a time loop that made the audience watch the same events multiple times.

Just go see the movie and you'll catch my drift. It will be too boring to explain this trope through examples so I'll spice things up by taking a step back. Let me explain my own personal thoughts on this first:

In my perspective: There are two kinds of forces that can affect events in time travel stories. The first being the intentions of the characters while the second being the natural world around them.

Let's say you're trying to save someone from an accident involving the weather in the past. Perhaps getting them to a safe zone or something wouldn't really affect the wider world as a whole. However, it is up to the author if events happen 'because the of the main character' or 'because he used a very unstable time machine that messed up time'.

I feel it's best to explain this first since it doesn't seem convincing if the main problem to your story isn't the change of events but because of an external interference messing your happy ending.

Things like: 'You have messed up fate and now this person is destined to die' only work if you are being aware that he isn't ACTUALLY at fault for the mess that's made. It's just Lady Time screwing him back.

This kind of thing is usually made for stories that show the dangers of trying to mess with a fundamental concept of reality. In other words: If you want to be happy, don't screw with time travel.

Messing with it causes time loops, paradoxes with your mom, and other horrific things that can only be fixed once you've either learned your lesson and stop messing with it any further than 'the incident'.

Of course, there are also stories where time travel itself doesn't have any disadvantages and it's the decision made by going back time that make things suck. This is not to be confused with 'you stepped on a leaf and now the future sucks', the change I'm referring to is mostly to do with how you changed interactions with other people that made them do something they didn't do in the previous timeline.

While it's not uncommon to have your main character step on a twig or something that causes a dog to wake up or something. If it's just you being there that messes with the wider world, then that attributes to previous point of angering Lady Time.

You would find it extremely confusing to write a story that involves time travel mechanics. However, there is a simple solution to making it easier, and that's by understanding the 'determinism' intrinsic to this specific trope: Why is the past always the same?

To explain: Determinism is to say that a person is defined by their past and their future actions are also a result of the past. The reason kid shows can easily add time travel is because they don't try to add layers to fictional characters like writers do.

Who can argue if I say another person changing the past to take that toy car I loved as a kid didn't turn me into evil mastermind? Basically, the reason you can even go back in time in the first place is because past events are 'determined' to happen due to events prior leading up to it. Changing something might not change the entire story, but it will at least leave behind evidence that you were actually there.

Okay, I'll finally give some examples now. You know in Doctor Who where he goes back in time and the only change to the future is someone remembering a big blue police box? It's a little like that, not all actions really need to change anything, since it's hard stopping events that are fully 'determined'.

Different problems in the past require different solutions whether it be needing to stop someone they really WANT to do, making a mistake out of unstable emotions, or just stopping them from being crushed by a tree that happened to fall on them.

If your character goes on a evil power trip saying that he's the lord of time because he can time travel then the reason he'll most likely be proven wrong is due to the inherent 'smallness' of one person overall.

Even if you wanted to stop Neil Armstrong from stepping on the moon, there's literally nothing you can do about it if you're just some normal guy who cannot influence people of greater stature.

If you try raiding NASA, you get turned into a sieve by bullets. If you try speaking out, there is no way these learned people would listen to the words of a plucky teenager who says he's from the future.

This is why time travel stories like Stein's Gate are so character driven. After all, if you already know these people, then there's a greater chance of persuading them NOT to do something that messes the future.

However, this is all me assuming that your main character is the one time travelling. If it is given to a side character instead then this trope can be twisted into truly unique stories where despite the main character not being in the know initially, a whole mystery can be uncovered through slowly giving out information that suggests a unnatural phenomenon.

Now I've said enough about 'going into the past' already. Now let's talk about the future. Let me get one thing out of the way first: There are zero disadvantages to travelling into a time where you're already dead and they can't 'travel back' to arrest you because of something stupid like wearing ancient clothing in this world where everyone specifically wears the exact same outfit. 

However, if you are actually interacting with your future self, then the timeline will already be changing ever so slightly. There's this Manga called Time Lover (I think) where the main character was accidentally getting phone calls from her deceased lover, this phone call being way back in the past.

In this story, the initiator of the paradox isn't her but someone relevant to her from the past, and the only way to save her lover and change her 'present' is to figure out who was responsible for killing him.

Now this was a highly specific example I gave but you get the gist of it, right? The who shtick of paradoxes and time loops is that the audience and protagonist actually need to search for the solution of how to fix their problem and actually getting it done. In the moments before these two goals are achieved, it is just used to characterise the main cast since I wouldn't read about people I don't like.

Oh yeah, there was thing time travel stories do a lot which demands the main character to not meet himself or the world will end or something, but that kinda thing isn't required. Just like I was saying with my first point, how time travel affects reality is up to your imagination. I mean, all you'd really think if someone looking like yourself came up to you would be: "Isn't this guy incredibly handsome?"

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

I hate being criticized...especially when it involves what I care about. When another human's criticism overrides the good of another it irritates me to no end. I can only take it so long, then a meltdown occurs. I get very aggressive and defensive especially if what is being said or done is unjust. I distance myself from toxic people who put others down because if I don't, then I get severe depression, anxiety, or migraines. The old woman happens to be an unhappy woman. She over analyzes, is hypocritical, and over religious. She believes that if we don't constantly reach out to God that we will be dammed. I don't view myself as overly religious, but I know religion like every other relationship requires special commitment. I neither love or hate the older woman, but she at times intentionally sabotages my happiness and love. One day I hope to leave her for good. Perhaps if the man I am destined to  marry will be able to provide for this need. For so many years I have been emotionally abused by the old woman and her old man. They are very controlling and provide for my current needs, but love is lacking in this relationship. I don't feel heard or loved truly by them. They tell me I only have one or two options in life, one is to work two jobs, or second is to finish my education.  They never tell me to pursue my dreams but to stick with bare facts and figures. I have many things I desire to accomplish but with each year it feels as if it is fading like sand between my fingers. When I was younger, I was very depressed and suffered. I suffered many a time from the insecurity with the conflict and strife. There wasn't a time I thought of not ending things then and there, but what prevailed most was the desire to live. I survived four toxic relationships, endured being made laughing stock for being single, and pressured by those around me to continue that ugly cycle again. I think for me the hardest part was not being able to share specific special moments with a special someone. Many of the men I dated I desired to date only because I wanted experience. At one time I thought that if I dated four men, then I could successfully say I knew what a true relationship was like, but in all actuality, it was the complete opposite. A good relationship consists of liking them, spending time with them, trusting them, and knowing they wouldn't step over the line at any given time. As I discovered, a bad relationship consisted of lies, jealousy, lust, and little to no communication. By the time I turned twenty-three, I could actually enjoyed both the sense of freedom and love. It wasn't easy but it was possible if I attempted hard enough. If one grain can reap a thousand grains,  then my actions whether great or small would eventually pay up...or so I learned. First learn to love yourself, then it is possible to love others. When engaging in a relationship with a toxic person, always reduce your personal pain by decreasing the amount of time spent with them because if they can, they will try to take you down.

Of the things I learned in life, sometimes the best thing is to step away...

NEW HOPE ORPHANAGE

'That seems perfect…'

I felt myself smiling proudly as I read the board hanging in front of a recently built two-story building in the suburbs of London. The building wasn't excessively luxurious or covered a large area. It was just a moderately sized red brick building with comparatively larger than the normal grass-covered lawn. The only thing that stood out in this building was the homely atmosphere that seemed to submerge the building, exactly the way it was intended to.

The source of my pride wasn't the building made up of dead materials, no, it was what it represented. The building was the physical manifestation of my dream coming true, my hard-work paying off. It was almost everything I ever wanted to achieve. The only thing that it lacked was the liveliness that oozed out of a happy household.

Being an orphan myself, I'd lived in a publicly owned orphanage till I reached my age of maturity. From what I'd heard from the older residents of the orphanage, I was found abandoned near a park by some patrolling policemen. When nobody filed a missing report after a week, I was sent to the orphanage.

I don't remember the earliest of my years at the orphanage. Everything, before I was five, seemed blurry, messy, or illogical. After all, the thought process of a kid is anything but straightforward. Still, there is a memory from the time when I was a three-year-old that seemed unaffected by fog covering the rest of my memories from around that time.

It isn't a tragic memory. It's just a memory of a question, full of innocent curiosity, which was left unanswered for quite some time. I'd just returned from playing in a nearby park where I'd seen a family of three, two adults and a boy my age, enjoying their time together. Upon finding the first adult that I could, I'd asked the question that had been on mind since some time ago.

"Where are my Mom and Dad?"

All that I'd received in response was a look that I couldn't quite understand then. I'd then been ushered to the dining room. After a few more tries I'd eventually stopped asking. It was after a few years that I got the answer to my question.

My time at the orphanage wasn't bad by any standards. I was being properly fed, provided with simple but clean clothes, had other children to play with, taught to read and write and even had the opportunity to go further in my education. The only thing I'd still yearned for was familial love.

The caretakers at the orphanage, while being kind and polite, often unconsciously gave off an aura of fakeness. I didn't quite understand what fakeness was then but it kept me from being emotionally attached to them. Occasionally, some of the temporary caretakers had no qualms in making us feel unwanted and that looking after us was a burden they had been forced to carry.

As I didn't receive the love I desired from them, I made sure that at least those younger than me had someone to depend on. By the time I'd turned 10, I'd become somewhat of an older sister to all those younger than me. Doing so even soothed my craving for a family. There were some tearful separations when some of them were adopted but it was still fulfilling.

At the age of twelve I'd decided that upon growing up, I would build an orphanage of my own. It wouldn't be a large place with tens of children but it would be a place where every unfortunate child would feel wanted and where every member of the orphanage, be it staff or the children, would live like a big happy family.

With this dream as a source of motivation, I'd worked hard, harder than my peers, aced through my middle school and high school, acquired a scholarship, graduated from college, had gotten a job, and worked hard for years.

Finally, at the age of twenty-five, here I stand in front of the building I will hopefully be referring to as my home for the rest of my life.

"This was not what I had in mind."

I said to myself as I caressed the messy, black-haired head of the unconscious boy who lay on the bed. My little Alex, Alexander Williams, my son in all but blood, has been unconscious for over two hours now. The doctor told me that he fainted due to shock; what or who shocked him this much, I don't know, but whatever it was, it better stay away from my son from now on.

After all who would want to face the brunt of the wrath of a mother?

Today was supposed to be a completely normal day; the only special event being the little trip to London that I'd been planning for quite some time. The trip proved to be hit among the children, extremely so. Even Alex, that little bookworm, was enjoying it.

He was looking around in wonder while simultaneously making sure that no other children strayed from our group. The next moment though, almost spontaneously, his eyes widened and his face paled. He looked like he'd see a ghost. Within the moments that I was looking towards his line of sight, and found nothing out of the ordinary, he fainted.

This was not supposed to have happened. Today was meant to be enjoyed. Responding as quickly as possible, I took him into my arms and hurried the other concerned children to the orphanage and called for a doctor.

As the head of an orphanage where I consider all the children as my own, I shouldn't be saying this, but despite all the various children that live or lived, before being adopted, in the orphanage, I share a special bond with Alex. Maybe it was because of us being in a similar situation of being abandoned as an infant, or due to him being more mature than what his age dictates him to be, or him being the only child I've raised from infancy; he occupied a special place in my heart.

'Wake up soon, Alex. Don't make me worry…'

I sighed as I leaned back into the chair beside his bed; my hand still caressing his head. Despite considering him as my son, I never called him such; I couldn't bring myself to act partially towards him with so many young children around. It wouldn't be fair to them. I'm sure Alex would have the same opinion as me.

'After all, he acts like a mother hen around them…'

I chuckled to myself remembering him leading the way and all the other children, even the older ones, following him around in a manner reminiscent to baby chicks following mother hen. Recalling that incident made me nostalgic and I couldn't help but recall the time when I first found my baby boy.

It was a completely normal early September morning in 1972. I'd just woken up and had opened the gates to the orphanage when I found a baby lying on the doorstep. The baby had nothing with other than the blanket that was wrapped around him.

When I'd heard no sound from him, I'd feared the worst; only to find him sleeping. He had been such a chubby little thing, black-haired, white-skinned, and with reddened cheeks probably due to cold morning wind. As soon as I'd taken him in my arms, he'd woken up but unlike most infants, he didn't start crying on seeing a stranger, no, instead he stared at me with his black eyes showing something akin to confusion.

Alex had been pretty weird even as an infant. For about a week after being found, it was almost as if he was doing everything as an instinct, always having a faraway look in his eyes, looking at something that no one could see. His eyes were always so out of focus that I'd at first thought that he'd been born blind and hence abandoned. One could have fed him, changed his diaper, and he wouldn't let out the slightest bit of sound, except some crying from time to time. It had been quite disconcerting to an infant like that. Fortunately, after that unnerving week or two, he seemed to have come around on his own.

Even then, he'd still been weird. He'd started responding, laughing, crying, and doing everything an infant like him did but there was always something about him that seemed out of place. He'd been too calm, too observant, and seemed very much aware as well as cognizant of his surroundings. He never cried unless in need of something, and his reactions always had a forced quality to them like he was forcing himself to act like that.

Believe me when I say that I'd never seen anything more disconcerting than a baby laughing with seemingly dead-looking eyes…

Fortunately, even that time passed. By the time he was a four-month-old, he'd become the embodiment of what an ideal child would look like; cheerful, curious, cute, chubby little guy. He even cried before pooping.

Truly an ideal baby.

As he grew older, he'd become a normal kid albeit an intelligent, mature, kind, and quirky little kid. He disliked meat with a passion that seemed unusual in someone so young. He did have his moments of cute clumsiness but they were few and far in between. He never fought with the other kids for toys but did tease them one way or another. He'd become the unofficial caretaker of all the children, solving conflicts between them, making sure they don't hurt themselves. That particular quirk of his endeared him even more to all the adults at the orphanage, including myself.

God knows that I love all my children but even a mother deserves a break sometimes.

Another oddity with him was that despite being a friendly, bright child, he'd shown a lot of resistance whenever the topic of adoption was brought forth. No amount of coaxing could alter his decision to stay at the orphanage. I'd assumed that it was the fear of the unknown that fueled his resistance, but even seeing other children being adopted into a loving family, and them visiting later didn't lower his resistance; he'd been sad at the separation even while being oddly understanding.

His continuous rejection to be adopted, to gain a loving family, had confused me even as it had angered me. He was declining something I'd only ever hoped to have had as a child. He didn't seem to care how lucky he was to be able to get multiple families to want to adopt him. It wasn't that I'd a problem in keeping him at the orphanage; I welcomed it even, but for all the love and care that I could give to him, it didn't change the fact that it was an orphanage where he was staying at. It could never be better than a home.

After a few more tries, everyone eventually dropped the matter about his adoption.

At the start of his fourth year at the orphanage, I finally decided to adopt him myself. It was then I came to realize that we adults tend to overlook something extremely simple even if it stays in plain sight. All it took was the blindingly bright smile, excitedly jumping little body, and slightly glistening eyes he had when I informed him about my decision. I realized that for him, he'd been at his home all this time and that by forcing him to get adopted I wasn't sending him to a home, instead, I was sending him away from the home he'd been staying at from as long as he could remember.

I'd forgotten that he was different than the other children that had stayed at the orphanage; even if it was due to unfortunate reasons they had experienced changing homes before, he hadn't.

That incident was the only time that I'd seen him crying after he had learned to crawl and no amount of denying on his part could change that later.

A few days after that tearful incident, in which he had not cried, I'd started teaching him, and a few others his age to read and to write. As intelligent as he was, he picked it up extremely quickly. He started spending a lot of time in the library of the orphanage, reading every picture book present in there multiple times. By the end of his fourth year at the orphanage, he had come further than any of his peers. He had even started doing small chores around the orphanage, helping others whenever he could.

As his mother, even if not by blood, I'd become immensely proud of him. He had become the perfect son that I could have ever wanted.

At that time I couldn't have known that the little trip that I'd been planning for his fifth anniversary at the orphanage would cause him harm.

I sigh while standing up from my chair beside his bed. I lean towards him and place a kiss on his forehead while tousling his hair last time for the night. I stand up straight, look at him for a few moments before walking towards the door to his room.

"Good Night, Alex."

“Too late to regret.” 

I never did understand what it meant. After all, life is too long; you can make up for your mistakes any time in the future. Why rush? And I was proven wrong. It was on my deathbed, at the age of twenty, that I realized that life can be really short too. As a result, I died with regrets.

Never did I expect to open my eyes again…

Multiple blobs of light could be seen in a white room which would drive anyone insane. However, the room instead of driving the souls insane like it would if they were in their human form it instead relaxed them.
All of the souls differed in color. The majority of them were light blue and light yellow. While there were some red and some silver, there were very few golden and Crimson souls.
In this place the souls would disappear and appear overtime. A green blob unlike any other waited in the room for what seemed like an eternity.
He watched as some souls were "born" and then "died".
As time went on the soul started to forget...
The soul forgot its name, family, friends, memories... It remembered nothing... No one... Not a single thing...
Time went on and the green soul entered a state of nirvana. It became one with the room.
The other souls in the room gradually started to decrease at a faster rate in which they increased and in the end there was only the green soul.
Alone in the void...
Or so it seemed as the green soul finally "died"

The green colored soul for the first time in what seemed like centuries or maybe it was millenniums or even more "woke up".
The soul looked at its surroundings just to find itself in a black room.
The room was so dark that it seemed like once you looked at it, it would look back at you.
The soul then turned around to see a humanoid shaped being looking at it.
The soul realized that he could not comprehend the being that stood in front of him.
It seemed like a humanoid being but it had no color no body no limbs or members yet the soul somehow knew that it was a humanoid being.
??? - "Interesting..."
Green soul - "So it seems..."
??? - "Hahaha yes you are very interesting..."
Green soul - "So are you"
??? - "Hahahahahaha, I guess so. What's your name my child."
Green soul - " I do not know... I just know that I have been in a white room for what seemed to be forever..."
??? - "I see..." The being then proceeded to touch the soul yet there was no body which the being used to touch the soul
??? - "So it seems that you got stuck in the circle of reincarnation since you never did anything evil or good. In this result you had a total of 1 Karma."
Green soul - "Why not zero?"
??? - " It seems that you were stuck at 1 karma which is what everyone is born with and your actions ultimately just amounted to the same of evil and good."
Green soul - "What happened to the rest of the souls?"
??? - "Gone"
Green Soul - " I understand" it aid as it nodded its non existent head
??? - " Why are you not angry or yelling?" Asked the being surprised for the 3rd time in its existence
Green soul - "All things have to cease to exist at some point"
??? - "Hahaha! Interesting, Very, Very, Interesting..."
??? - " Since I have just finished with the existence of the universe I will start a few different ones in which I will reincarnate you. Go ahead you have three wishes."
Green soul - " For my first wish I would like to get my memories, but without my parents, friends, family and etc."
As soon as that was said the soul regained the knowledge of playing video games like Minecraft, Terraria, CS:GO, and many more. It also got the memories of reading manga, light novels, webnovels, 
fan fics, webtoon, watching anime and etc.
Green soul - "Haha! Now this changes a lot." 
The being looked at the Soul in amusement. An emotion it hadn't felt since an imaginable amount of time.
Green soul - "For my second wish I want a System in which I can buy anything not just from anime and manga but from novels other worlds and even webtoons."
??? - " Done. Now what about your last wish?"
Green soul - " I want your blessing."
??? - "Hahahahahahahaha! It seems like this couple of centuries will be extremely entertaining! Very well. I will now send you to the world you will he reborn on. Good luck."

A soul is stuck in the cycle of reincarnation with 1 karma and ends up waiting in the void as the universe ceases to exist. A mysterious being than reincarnates the soul with three wishes. The family that Wu Shan was born into was part of the lower-middle rank in the nobilities of Glory City. However, they had been known for a long time as one of the longest-standing clans that have stood in defense of the city since its founding. Details of their origins have been lost to the legends and myths, however, they're known as the guardians of numerous royal families of eld, prior to the Dark Ages.

As for Wu Shan's specific family, the Wu family line, they were the main family of the whole Divine Guardian Family. His father, the current head of the Wu family, was a 2-Star Black Gold Rank Demon Spiritualist, while his mother, Wu Liangxiang, was a 1-Star Gold Rank Demon Spiritualist. Both of his parents were considered to be the strongest of the entire Family, and top geniuses at that. Hence, with Wu Shan being born to such parents, the rest of the Family have high hopes for him to succeed them.

While the Divine Guardian Family were indeed powerful, however, far too many in the clan were significantly lower than them. On average, the subsidiary families in the clan had a patriarch who're at the peak of Silver Rank, but no one were above 1-Star Gold Rank. Due to that, their stature never really risen much since the start of Glory City. Even their current stature was thanks to their Patriarch's capabilities.

The territory under their management was sufficiently large enough to rival at least several small noble families in the city, though it's still smaller than the middle-ranked nobles. As for the division of the territories between the members of the Family, it's basically divided into four sections: Agriculture (Focuses mainly on normal vegetables and fruits), Farm (Mainly on meat, poultry and the such), Cultivation (For cultivating herbs and other ingredients for cultivation), and Refinery (Includes Mining and Forging of ores & other minerals). All these four sections surround the main compound of the Divine Guardian Family, with the sections having their own housing, and the main compound housing the core family and the members of the subsidiary families.

As for their influence, regardless of their current or past stature in the city, were quite deeply ingrained in the city. While their contributions weren't significant enough for them to get a raise in their overall stature, it was enough to gain the respect of the City Lord and the Three Major Families. On occasions, they would get yearly gifts and honors to attend much of the events in the city that were hosted by those people. However, in regards of the political fights and the such of the city, the family's stance were of neutral, hence the somewhat obvious "fight" between the current ruling family of the city, the Snow Wind family, and one of the Three Major Families, The Sacred family, didn't really matter much to them.

In regards of their income and financials, they have enough to support the family, but weren't able to get anything that's too expensive. Hence, prioritization towards those with high potential was unavoidable, like a lot of the average noble families. Those with said potential were given the highest in terms of pills and other cultivation-raising items, with spirit gears being for those who can prove that they can be responsible with themselves and not being stupid about themselves. However, those with lower potential were also taken care of, at the very least, they could reach Silver Rank by the time they're adults, whether it be as a Demon Spiritualist, or as a Fighter. Any more than that, however, those members must find a way to get better things without much financial support from the Family, for things like higher-grade pills or spirit gears for their rank.

Wu Shan's position in the family is the heir of the Patriarch, and the closest to being the next one. Aside from what's explained previously, his talent was also equally enviable. His Soul Realm was that of Cyan, though his attribute was neutral, or in other words, attribute-less. That being said, his Soul Realm was more than enough to make up for that upset in attribute. This was the results from a test done by his parents when he was several months old. By that time, while he could somewhat speak, it was still far from what he needed. Hence, he could only do inner monologues for the time being.

In the mean time, he then started to listen more towards the conversations that his father has with any of the guests (or anyone really) that's related to the happenings in Glory City at the time. He was surprised to find out that he was of the same age, or slightly older by a few months at least, from either Huyan Lanruo or Chen Linjian. This puts him at least 3-4 years older than Nie Li. Thus, he began to adjust his plan, which was to act from the shadows in support of the man, given that he'll meet him first after his supposed "reincarnation" back in time to the current period. Wu Shan would focus organizing his memories, thoughts and any knowledge that was available inside what he dubs as the "Library of Existence".

The ability that he asked for, the "Library of Existence", contained every ounce of knowledge that he had accumulated in his past life, and also access to other information of both Earth's and the new world's. However, for this world's information that wasn't mentioned in either the manhua or the novel, he'd at least need to have encountered someone who knows of it, or any other sources for such information (like tomes or books or the such), to immediately gain insight into it.

The current problem with the ability, is that the knowledge that came directly from his personal knowledge was a mess, so he spent most of the time organizing everything back in order. Thankfully, the deity beings that gave him this ability also had the foresight to make it like he's interacting with his PC from Earth, not that it made it easier. It only made him faster in organizing, but it still took enough time from him to not have enough for learning any new knowledge from the conversations he had heard.

As for his third ability, the one where he could understand other languages of this universe, it's pretty much active since he was born into this world. While he had yet to write anything (or speak in proper), he had read and heard from those around him. In this regard, it's more like a passive ability when it comes to day-to-day life in Glory City. But for ancient languages or any "alien" language, it would be an active one.

What about the second one, you ask? The one where he could adjust his body and such, similar to that of Jewelry Bonnie from One Piece? He had second thoughts about using it now, since he's not yet in a position where he could leave without raising alarms for the people in the compound. Hence, he decided to not use it until he's at least Nie Li's age during the start of the main storyline. This didn't mean that he hasn't tested it. While he managed to transform into an adult and a teenager, his speech skill was less than what he'd need, not even mentioning his writing skills. It would take him at least another three to five years before he could do so proper.

And for that, he began learning slowly of the life-skills needed in this world, while simultaneously trying to assess his own Soul Sea form and attribute, so that he can find the right cultivation technique for himself, given that he could screw himself badly if it was the wrong one. This would continue until he was 5 years old, where he had started learning on how to write and read (he already learned how to walk at three years old).

By then, his parents would introduce him to some of the nobles that would come visit them every once in a while, including the City Lord and the Three Major Families. He would meet Chen Linjian and Huyan Lanruo, who were close to his age at the time, often accompanying their parents during their visits or during events hosted by the nobles in Glory City. He never really saw Ye Han, though he had heard of his name being mentioned by the City Lord when he (City Lord) was talking with his (Wu Shan's) father. He also had heard of Ye Ziyun, though he would never have a proper interaction with her until at least eight years later.

Wu Kaoshan had been living a life that's considered almost like a protagonist of a typical manga/anime series. Life pushed him to the front stage, and it finally burned him out when he was at his final year of university.

He always finds solace with reading mangas, light novels, webtoons, and more recently, manhuas & webnovels. Being extremely self-aware of himself and things that happened to him, it wasn't easy to caught him off-guarded. But who would've thought that he would get what's basically "isekai"-ed into the universe of his favorite series?

Follow Wu Kaoshan as he journeys through the familiar, yet alien world to him, meeting the characters from said series and the events that will transpire. What would be his role? What will he do? Those will be answered in this log.

Every living being, which means a being with lifeforce, has stats. There are a couple of standart stats every being has. Those standart stats are:

[LP] Lifepoints, this is essentially the lifeforce of any being and shows if it is healthy or not, should this reach stat reach 0 the being will die because there is no more lifeforce.

[STR] Strenght, this stat determines how much force a being can produce with its body.

[END] Endurance, this stat determines how resilient a being is against attacks or other negative influences such as heat or cold etc. This stat also heavily influences the lifeforce of a being.

[INT] Intelligence, this stat determines how smart a being is and how fast it can aquire new knowledge etc.

Levels:
Every living being has a level which displays its general strength/combat power etc.

Most living beings are able to gain experience and level up and gain stats through that.
Experience or [EXP] can be obtained through different means such as killing other living beings or working on other things, as well as studying.

Stats will also improve based on what an individual does, such as physical training to gain [STR] or studying to gain [INT] etc.

Living beings are able to obtain skills which can be used to fight or work or study, basically anything you can imagine what a skill can do.

Living beings can obtain abilities which are passive traits a being has.

There is also the chance of gaining special stats such as 

[MP] Manapoints, this stat is mandatory for any living being that wants to cast magic. Manapoints can be regenerated naturally over time and are used for casting magic. Not every living being can gain this stat.

this is only one example of a special stat (even tho it is a rather common special stat it should give you the basic idea of what a special stat is)

Items have ranks and levels.
Every rank has 10 levels.

Items can also have stats such as [DEF] for defense or [ATK] for attack, not every item has stats tho.
Some items may also be [Unique]. This rank has no levels whatsoever.

Class:
Every person can obtain a class, which is essentially their preffered form of combat and gives them bonuses, skills, abilities etc. Classes can be obtained through different means, the most common one is to find a master and absolve some sort of quest or training to be able to obtain a class.
Everyone can only have a single class at a time and it is very difficult to remove a class once one accepts it as it melds with the lifeforce.

Profession:
Professions are basically the jobs one can obtain such as [Blacksmith], [Herbalist], [Merchant] just to name a few. These professions also give an individual skills, abilities etc. 
Professions are leveled up by practising them or working with them.

Every living being can feel its own stats, skills, abilities etc. within its unique lifeforce.
There are skills and items that may let you see some of the stats, skills and/or abilities of other living beings and/or items.
