Signa System, Planet Ilter

In the Signa System of Planet Ilter, there weren't many plants, only a few and even asteroids or other bodies were scarce. Suddenly, a fleet of fifty big Magitek Corvettes. Each of them was around kilometers long, and more than a hundred meters wide. Armed with superior Magitek Energy Weapons, ready for combat.

Behind them, there was something even more colossal. Huge colossal Space Fortress was going there, surrounded by fifty Magitek Corvettes. On the commanding bridge of the Orbital Space Defense Fortress, Lucien was sitting in a chair and looking at the screens before him.

"Status report." Commanded Lucien.

"Currently, we are on the outskirts of the Signa System, already nearing to the Planet Ilter. Our scans have caught, around ten poorly made spaceships. Their combat powers is very low, and some of them are already damaged, probably they are usually used in the combat on Plant Ilter." 

Answered one officer, who was sitting behind the console.

"Prepare for the fight, for the first time, we would be testing the combat power of the Magitek Spaceships against another type of the space vessels, our previous test flights were only against mutated beasts or practicing targets." Said Lucien calmly.

"Yes, Your Highness."

Answered the officer with respect, as he returned to his console and started inserting commands on the holographic screen. 

"This is a commanding vessel, Orbital Space Defense Fortress Red Rose. By command of his Imperial Highness, all Magitek Vessels are to immediately ready for combat, I repeat. All Magitek Vessels in the fleet immediately ready for combat. Confrontation with the enemy, in nearly fifteen minutes."

With the speed of the Magitek Corvettes, they would be arriving soon at the planet Ilter, and soon they would be fighting first space battle, between spaceships.

Meanwhile, as they were on their way, Lucien was relaxing in his chair and thinking about something else, mainly about the problem with the population of the Holy Niflheim Empire.

'As soon as we finish this project, the strength of the Empire would skyrocket. Our only deficit is our extremely pathetic population. When we have numbers, everything would be good, an increase of at least several thousand would be enough to have a good start.'

"Magister Isaacs, how is the state of the Sacred Blood Crystals? Is there enough blood for the conversion of several thousand Evolved Zombies?" Asked Lucien as he looked at the Magister.

"Of course, kid. We have been preparing enough Life Force and feeding it to the Sacred Blood Crystals. Thanks to breeding mutated beats, we have enough of the blood to evolve several thousand Evolved Zombies, hahaha... also, don't you think this is wonderful? Such magnificent evolutionary project... who designed this was absolutely genius... haha..." Laughed Magister madly.

'Hmm... again another one that went crazy... still... to find a way to convert Evolved Zombies to Sacred Devourer Ghouls, it is understandable... though that laugh is creepy.' Thought Lucien, as he just smiled at the Magister.

Magister Alexander Roland Isaacs was a middle-aged man, around 180 centimeters high with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white lab coat, with insignia of the Holy Niflheim Empire and another one that was signifying his rank as Magister.

Planet Ilter, Federation Fleet, Commanding Vessel

"Commander! Commander! Emergency!!! There are several tens vessels approaching the planet at high speed." Shouted one of the officials there.

"Everybody on deck! Immediately be ready for combat!" Shouted commander, but it was already late.

Energy laser shots were already being shot and were approaching them. And it was already late... the first one hit the ship at the left-wing, that was already damaged from the previous fight, and exploded into beautiful fireworks.

"Shit, retreat and scatter. Try to bypass them and outmaneuver them. They have energy weapons. Our kinetic shields cannot withstand their weaponry."

Shouted commander of the Ilter Federation Space Fleet after he saw that second spaceship was destroyed by the energy weaponry of enemies. Meanwhile, in the Orbital Space Defense Fortress Red Rose Lucien was watching the entire place with a menacing smile. 

"They are trying to outmaneuver us. Tell Loruel and Seira to take half of the fleet, and destroy them. Don't allow them to land on the planet, we can't start bombardment of the planet, as this planet is needed to be in our foothold." 

Bombarding the planet was now out of the question because this planet has strategical value. Energy weapons of the Magitek Corvettes had very high destructive powers, despite it being small lasers.

Soon, Ilter Space Fleet started firing at the Niflheim Magitek Space Fleet, but their Magitke Energy Shields just tickled upon the contact with them. Then the revenge attack of the Niflheim Magitek Space Fleet started and tens of energy attacks were being shot every second. 

Soon enough, the Planet Ilter Space Fleet was being destroyed one after another. They were destroyed like nothing and only space straps were flying through space. After several minutes all ships of the Planet Ilter Space Fleet were destroyed.

"Your Highness, all Planet Ilter Space Fleet has been destroyed. Please give further commands." Reported one official.

"Prepare for landing. Chose a suitable place, which is far from any forces so we could built forces. Also, leave a few ships in the orbit together with Orbital Space Defense Fortress and release scavengers to collect all destroyed spaceships of Ilter Federation Fleet, the could be used in construction." Commanded Lucien with an authoritative voice.

"Yes, Your Highness. What should we do with scrap metal from Ilter Federation spaceships?" Asked officer, behind the holographic console.

"Store it in the Orbital Space Defense Fortress, there should be enough space in the warehouse. Now that the Orbital Space Defense Fortress is finished, it should be able to store enough materials."

Orbital Space Defense Fortress was an enormous construct that was able to hold several tens of Magitek Corvettes. It was finished only after tens of thousands of Magitek Infantry Soldiers were working on it for years.

'Spotted!' Both Cellica who's been monitoring the status of this fight with her artifacts and Rydel and Valerie who's just using a simple telescope on the shuttle all shouted at the same time as Sir Deva and Sadie Allen walked out of the building. Knowing that they will come with an explosive entrance, Valerie immediately hopped over to the pilot's chair and started prepping the shuttle for emergency maneuvers.

'The people I have mentioned to you about has just exited the building.' Cellica warned through GBI communications channel, 'be careful.'
'Yeah yeah....' The officer replied impatiently as it circled around the riot control droids in a semi-circle with multiple layers of back up and surrounded the remaining soldiers and the two man who has walked out.

There is no reason to treat them any difference, especially since they don't exactly look like they are coming out to surrender. The bolts are fired at them, and they continuously bounced off a shield. However, that shield doesn't interact with the attacks like the normal force shields from the shield generators. Normally, energy bolts causes a sort of rippling effect like a drop of water onto a calm surface. This shield bounces those attacks off like a trampoline as bolts are sent flying back where they came from. 

Then, the shield became more and more expanded and covered a larger and larger area to the point that all of the riot control droids ended up firing the bolts straight back into themselves. Realizing that the two are enabling the soldiers to fight back, the officer immediately pull the droids back and regrouped nearer to the shuttle. The rate of fire also ceases and instead some of the droids aimed to find the edge of the shield by providing scattering fire in all angles while a few of the shield neutralizer sphere are rolled out right in front of them.

The shield neutralizers are spheres that gives off electromagnetic signals that will jam most normal grade shield generators upon impact, similarly to how a charged Aquarian blade does to a shield, and those things simply bounced off the outer layer of the shield and rolled away. 

'Try to group them up.' Sir Deva ordered as he continued to walk forward without a single hint of worry about getting hit, as Sadie Allen is charged with the role of deflecting all of the upcoming attacks with his artifact. Then, as more and more of the droids are grouped together next to the shuttle that they crashed landed in, Sir Deva reached out a hand and activated his artifact.

There is a twist and a whirling in the image of space around the shuttle before a tiny dark sphere popped into existence. Then, the mass sphere projected by Sir Deva began sucking everything towards it like a tiny black hole as the shuttle slid towards it before collapsing inwards as the metal screeches and screams. The droids were lifted off the ground and thrown into the pile of metal as the projected mass sphere became stronger and stronger. In one instant, almost half of the droids and the two shuttles are turned into a mountain of scraps. Despite his surprise, the officer orbiting high up away from the surface of the orbital ring quickly put in the command for scattering and spreading out the remaining droids, leaving around twenty of them still standing.

They opened fire once more from a more spread out position, and Sir Deva simply reached his hands out to the side and started picking off the droids one pair at a time. No shots were fired from anyone from the Absolute Being from that point onward as Sir Deva easily took care of what remained on the battle field. 

Then, he looked up, and his enhanced vision searched for the shuttles that could be controlling the droids.

'Which ship were the drop ships released from?' Sir Deva asked in his channel towards the supporting crew that are in the command room of the base.
'Based on the trajectory, the drop ships could only come from the following angles.' The supporting officer uploaded a hologram projection of the ship's trajectory, starting from the piles of metal spheres and tracing their move back up until they blended into a single trajectory high up away from the surface of the second orbital ring. There are indeed a ship hovering around in that area, and it remained there curiously, even after seeing what Sir Deva can do.

'He is about to do something!' Rydel warned, as Cellica relayed the same information towards the GBI forces, 'be careful!'
'Don't you intervene with my job!' The officer sounded tilted from the wipe out of his riot control droids squad, 'I have another squad.'
'But what are you going to do now?'
'I am going to board right into the base. We were going too soft on them!' The officer howled, as he slammed the button to release the remaining two drop ships hidden in the cargo holds.

'Sir Deva, they are releasing more drop ships!' The supporting officer warned.
'They won't be anymore.' Sir Deva said, taking a single deep breath and let the artificial air fill his ribcage and his belly before turning all of this focus towards that shuttle that has another two shining dots released and coming their way. Then, he reached out.

Unlike most other artifacts, Sir Deva's Mass Projector can work exceedingly well at long ranges, and he actually struggles with accuracy in the near range, which is why that's what he trained to control most of the time. His artifact simply has way too much power, and it wanted to be released with a high intensity and through great distances. The accuracy is going to be tricky at this distance, but as long as he can create a strong enough gravitational pull from the projected mass in the approximate right direction, it should do the job of crushing or crashing that shuttle that is meddling with their business.

Unleasing his limits on the artifact, Sir Deva released a giant sphere of mass near the shuttle's altitude, and the sudden appearance of the body of mass immediately pulled the shuttle right towards while sending the readings on the various devices into a frenzy. Alarms filled the room alongside panic as the pilot struggles to gain the control and bring the shuttle back into it's stable position. However, the pull is too sudden and too strong! The thrust generated from the shuttles are supposed to be used in higher atmosphere and low orbit environment, which means it is enough to overcome the planet's gravity and some air resistance, but not enough to escape the pull of Sir Deva's artifact.

'Shit!' Valerie also spotted the sphere, and despite them being a few kilometers away, the shuttle they are on also started drifting towards it as the ship's computer struggled to comprehend this suddenly appearing celestial body and the extra force vector. Thankfully, the force is a lot weaker at this distance, and the acceleration is a lot smaller.

The ship that was Sir Deva's initial target is now falling quicker and quicker towards the center of the projected mass and be crushed into a giant metal meatball, along with all of the crews in it.

Without a moment of hesitation, Valerie turned her ship and dived towards the suddenly appearing center of the gravitational pull.

'How close do you need?' Valerie puts the thruster at maximum output so the acceleration of the ship and the acceleration from the project mass sphere combine to get them as close to that ship as quickly as possible.
'I don't know yet,' Rydel said, 'but...but I can feel it if we get close enough.' Rydel said, his left hand already reaching out and feeling for the texture of space as orange light pulses on the circuits on the glove.
'Then what are you going to do?' Valerie trusted that Rydel knew the consequences of getting too close, and only refrained to only say what needs to be said.

Without answering, Rydel switched on the communications to Cellica, who's talking to the now panicking officer, 'Cellica! Tell all of the crews to bunch up together and get as close to a single formation as possible, like a meatball! I will warp them out when I get close enough.'
Then, he turned and shouted to Valerie who's monitoring the distance between the two ships closely, 'Valerie! I will jump out of the ship once we get close enough towards the orbital ring, then I will warp those people into this ship.'

'And then...' Rydel said, then he felt it! The rough edges of the shuttle, and feeling of the wings putting pressure in the center of his palm. He is within range! With his space uniform already on, Rydel slammed open the door and jumped out before finishing, 'I will save you! I promise!'

'Don't worry about me.' Valerie said with a calm voice, 'I am plenty safe. I will lock my ship down for five seconds, and then I will unlock it.' Then, with a shining light from the cockpit of the shuttle, Valerie activated her artifact as the shuttle slammed to a halt in its tracks.

Lock Down activated!

Rydel now have ten seconds to warp those people into the shuttle, but he will have to do it after Valerie has unlocked.

Rydel was about to say something cheesy like I love you, but he knew he will succeed, and he knew he will have to succeed, so instead, he shut his mouth and began to focus. 

There is no downward gravity in the orbital ring, but the ship's velocity still carried on  sending Rydel down towards the surface of the orbital ring alongside with the kick that he gave to himself as he jumped off. As he flew through the space quietly both down and away from the center of the projected mass, the feeling of the shuttle remained in his hand.

He is getting closer towards the shuttle, just at an extra angle when compared to Valerie's shuttle. Now that he is outside of the ship, he can see the bigger picture much more clearly. Reaching out with his glove, he began to close in on that shuttle.

However, he could only feel the surface of the shuttle. And nothing within it. His fingers flailed madly around like a flag in a storm, but he just can't get in!

What is this bullshit? Rydel thought as he tried to focus harder, with the fingers search and making its way around the shuttle that has now reached the outer edge of the projected mass as the outer layers began to shed off and fire bursts from the deforming ship.

He will have to dig deeper, be more precise with his minds, and be more decisive with his actions. There are so many moving parts at the same time as vectors for both himself and the ship he is trying to safe is sending him everywhere. This is incredibly difficult, liking shooting a fade away shot in basketball, except the rim is flying away and crumbling at the same time.

But that's what he has been training for! For the past two months, despite their super recovery and energy reserves, Valerie and Rydel still trained their hardest to get better and better at the skills of using their artifacts. Valerie figured out how to lock herself and a much bigger region down, at a cost of a horrible after effect, and Rydel simply got better at using the glove on the move.

As long as he still struggles to warp objects in all situations, he cannot call his artifact the Glove of Summoning, and it would be a bit shit really. Gritting his teeth, Rydel approached the task that he has never tried before. Some might argue what is the point of preparation and training if the actual task is always so much difficult, but the entire point of that is to prepare one's body and mind to perform beyond one's perceived limits when it is called for.

And the moment is now!

Breaking through the outer layer of the shuttle with all of his concentration as the glove shined bright like a light bulb, Rydel felt the feeling of the crews of the GBI shuttle huddling and bundling into a circle. But it was more than that he felt. He felt the desperation and the fear of death eliminating from those that are surrounded by the space he controlled.

Now, their fate is quite literally within his hand.

Closing in his fist, Rydel warped all of them away from the ship which exploded an instant later as the fuel tanks are penetrated and the engine core burned up. But Rydel knew he was successful. 

Turning and twisting his body in mid air, he reached the clenched fist towards the shuttle that is stopped dead in its tracks. The reason that Valerie only stopped for five seconds is because of the way orbital ring operates and the mess of vectors that one need to take into consideration. When Valerie locks an item down, she mostly locks it down with reference to her own movement, so a flying bullet will be locked down in its trajectory relative to Valerie, but in the reference frame of the universe, the planet is still spinning and orbiting about the celestial body it is orbiting on. She will never have to worry about the movements of the universe around her.

However, when she is locking areas around her down, she needed to be incredibly careful regarding the reference frame she chooses, or else she will come out of the lock down in the middle of the stranded space as the planet left her behind. That's one of the key things she had to learn during her two months of training. 

So for right now, Valerie locked the reference frame onto the planet Olympus Zero, or rather the precise longitude the shuttle is on. However, the shuttle was orbiting with the orbital ring at a different speed than the self spin of Olympus Zero, meaning that Rydel, the orbital ring and the projected mass all would have left her behind at a velocity that equaled the difference between the planet's self spinning speed and the orbital ring's rotation speed. Five second is just enough for her to still be able to catch up to them with the previous velocity that is much faster than the linear speed of the orbital ring's rotation while still giving Rydel enough time to save the crew.

So after all of that mental gymnastics, Valerie locked everything around her down right away. For her, the feeling of being locked down felt like sitting on the bottom of a swimming pool, as there is no sound, no movement and nothing around her. It is a moment of peace, or stagnation, depending on one's viewpoint. And though Valerie would have enjoyed it on another occasion when things are less stressful, now she simply anxiously awaits for the end of the Lock Down.

And finally, after what felt like an eternity to her, five objective seconds has arrived, and a wave of information traveled outwards from the spiraling patterns of the artifact in her arm and unlocked all of the regions around her. The shuttle jumped immediately back up onto its previous speed and trajectory, as the scanners and dials continued their warning.

'There you are.' Seeing the shuttle moving again, Rydel smiled a little as the shuttle began to move again. Then, he felt for the velocity of that and matched it with the movement of shuttle, 'nice to see you again.'
'Have you got them?' Valerie asked as she maintained the current velocity and tried as hard as she can to steer the ship down and away from the mass sphere that still remained there. However, the ship struggled to escape the gravitational well.
'I have, and I am dropping them in the ship...now.' Rydel said and released his grasp.

A bundle of humans appeared next to the shuttle.

He missed.

'FUCK!' Rydel screamed, 'I missed, they are right next to you though!'
'I am on it!' Valerie shouted loudly as she leaped off her chair, accidentally snapping off the seatbelts with her strength. She ran towards the doors and saw the groups of crew members still hugging each other tightly.
'Don't bother! I will warp all of you out of there!' Rydel said, reaching out and expanding the radius of influence for his glove to cover the entirety of the ships and the surrounding crew before closing in all both of them.

Then, he spun around to see the rapidly approaching ground and released the shuttle right in front of him. He slammed onto the top of the shuttle and crushing his nose on the metallic shell. There is a small cracking sound coming from the physiologically enhanced and yet still not very tall nose, but Rydel don't have time to worry about that.

'Pull up! Pull up!' He yelled into the microphone as the orbital ring is getting uncomfortably close and his enhance vision can now see clearly what is going on in the ground.
'On it!' Valerie replied as she dragged all of the crews into the shuttle and left them to figure out the seating and seat belts before she sprinted towards the cockpit and turned the nose of the shuttle up with all of its thrust.

The shuttle shot away from the base L2 in a parabola as the bottom scraped along the top of some of the buildings on the orbital ring before finally avoiding a fatal crash narrowly with a high riser. However, as the shuttle now turns away from the orbital ring's surface safe and sound, Rydel can finally let out a sigh of relief as he can finally relax his fingers where dug into the top surface of the shuttle and prevented him from being thrown off it.

'You know, we really could have won pilotmania with that maneuver.' Giggling uncontrollably after that daring rescue, Rydel spoke into the microphone as he heard the crews cheering in the background about their survival and Valerie's effort. To them, Valerie appeared to be the savior.

But Rydel really couldn't care less at this point. As the shuttle doors open again and Rydel was pulled into the main room, the rest of the crews were still wondering where this person came from.

'Ah, Cellica, I am sorry...' After mustering some courage, the officer finally said once more in the communications channel to the worrying Cellica, 'I...don't know what really happened, but I think it was thanks to your people.'

'Call us the Bearers of the Artifacts.' Rydel walked out from the cockpit, the dent in his nose now exceedingly obvious and distracting, 'it was an artifact that crushed your ships, and it was two artifacts that saved you.'

'Artifacts...?' Those that never experienced the powers of the artifacts simply cannot contemplate what that really means, but right now, they really don't want to think too hard about anything, 'anyway, is your nose okay?'

This story is set in the far future, the age of the post-modern era, when humans have evolved and progressed onto an intragalactic species, sharing the galaxy with two other intelligent intergalactic species: the tall slim water creature Aquarians and the short hairy militaristic Rockies.

Throughout the ages, myths and legends of incredibly powerful weapons were incorperated into the stories of the old for each of the species, and those weapons, each posessing incredible reality altering powers, are known as the Artifacts. 

Rydel Daera encountered one of those artifact with the power to warp space itself in one of his expeditions, and from then on his life would be forever altered. There are more of the others like him, but not all of them think of the artifacts in the same way. With power over the fabrics of reality itself concentrated into a single being, what can one do with such power?

With that, the story begins. As Rydel trains to use his artifact with the Bearers of the artifacts, they have also come into contact with a mysterious organization based in the wild regions of space that also has artifact users among them. 

Who are they, and why are they here?

This is a story about the twenty beings from the three different species all over the galaxy, and they are bound to leave a mark in galactic history forever.

For the unplanned fifth volume, expect a war for the survival of the galaxies as the history of the artifacts are revealed!

It had been a few hours since the demon managed to invoke a large scale magic formation, not unlike the ritual which brought it into this plane of existence in the first place. Since then Dax didn't have the time to stand still for even a single moment, as the demon had somehow transplanted some part of its domain unto the ruins of the former magic academy. After that the archangels who Dax had originally been supporting turned mostly useless as they had a really hard time gathering mana from the air and form them into spells, greatly reducing both their offensive and defensive output. To make matters worse the large concentration of ambient corrupted mana started creating lesser demons which endlessly swarmed outwards in an attempt to devour everything they came across.
"I see it!"
As Solaris wielded a rifle to spray down an approaching demon with what could only be described as 'adequate', Dax took the moment to reload. Crouching down Dax braced his rifle in the pit of his knee as he removed the magazine, but before he could insert a new one he was rudely interrupted.
"Dax!"
[I see it! Fuck off ugly!]
Drawing his pistol Dax emptied half its magazine into the mouth of a creature he could only describe as a poodle sized mouth filled with about a million teeth, he holstered his pistol and finished reloading his weapon.
[Jesus they don't fucking let up do they!? Splash 5 seconds!]
Calling out to warn Solaris, Dax took cover as artillery pelted their surroundings.
"More of that please!"
Seeing the pure amount of destruction unleashed by the railgun artillery, Solaris couldn't help but complain that there weren't more of it.
[I'm already tasking everything available, the demons are rushing out in every direction, not just this one!]
While Dax continued moving down demons together with Solaris, Apollo and Hemera fought with the demon but unlike earlier, they were now on the defensive.
"ASPECT OF THE OLD ONES: HELLFIRE!"
Being in its prime element, the demon now had no issue formatting offensive spells. Calling on the ones it served to grant it power, the demon summoned a sphere of flame which seemed to absorb the surrounding light. The corrupted flame shot forth like it was propelled by a railgun, barely missing Hemera who lost one of her feet to the extreme heat.
"GHA!-"
As Hemera screamed out in pain she channelled mana into her spear when she noticed that the rest of her leg was being corrupted by the malignant flame, then without hesitation she cut off her afflicted leg at the thigh before the flame could consume her.
"Javelin formation: Lightning spear of the prophet!"
Meanwhile Apollo didn't let his comrade's injury go to waste, forming a golden spear of light which he threw at the demon with his immense strength. But the spell had very little effect however, as the demon only scoffed at the attempt to injure it before it flicked the spear aside and summoned a truly massive greatsword that its tentacles wrapped around. The 10 meters long and 3 meter wide black greatsword looked like it was alive, with red veins and runic formations which pulsed in some ominous pattern. Doing a practice swing with the sword, the demon's smile widened before it disappeared from sight.
"Shi!-"
"DIE!"
Reappearing right in front of Apollo, the demon swung down its greatsword in an attempt to cleave the 10 winged archangel in half down the middle but right as it mustered the strength and started to bring the sword downwards a Titanium penetrator hit and deflected the sword away.
[Back off!]
listening to Dax's command for once, both Apollo and Hemera challenged mana into their wings and shoot off the ground to open up the range. Right on cue a swarm of high velocity SATGM's swarmed the demon, but sadly they were mostly ineffective as the demon had no issue creating a swarm of hexagon shields to defend it all around.

Seeing how they were constantly getting pushed back, Dax realized they had to do something, or he would soon be forced to nuke the entire area in an attempt to stop the swarm of demons from taking over the continent.
"We need to call for backup. Even if we lose the sanctuary as a result, we can not allow this malignant corruption to spread, we must not allow it to create a beachhead."
The reason Hemera and Apollo were alone in responding to Dax's call for aid even he told them that a demon had been summoned was due to the hostile sanctuaries. Even if demons were the mortal enemies of all angels, the sanctuaries were not naive enough to believe that rivals wouldn't attack them the very second they committed too many resources towards fighting a demon infestation. After All there was no point in fighting a fair fight.
"Dax can't you destroy its physical form?"
While healing her leg Hemera remembered what Dax had talked about before the fight, making the orbital marine bloom a bloodthirst and confident smile as his will to battle renewed. 
[I can! Give me an opening and prepare to back off the moment I say so, Solaris I need your help!]
"Got it!"
Springing into action the angels all placed their trust in the orbital marine, as they knew he wouldn't make promises he couldn't keep in such situations.
"HMM… A TRULY FUTILE STRUGGLE!"
Seeing how the puny angels feel back then seemed to rally around something, the demon only showed a highly sadistic smile. Demon's confidence stemmed from the fact that it had managed to drag a part of its domain to the mortal plain, greatly boosting its offensive and defensive abilities as countless of its kin swarmed into the mortal realm every second. Even as its kin was being cut down just as fast as they spawned, the demon concluded that the puny mortals would try one last desperate offensive which it judged to be a truly futile struggle.
"COME ENTERTAIN ME, I WILL FEAST ON YOUR SOULS!"
Planting his sword down into the ground as he spread out a presence like an experienced general how had seen endless war, the demon awaited for the mortal's final struggle.

Their final struggle came about a minute later, when all of a sudden the railgun and orbital artillery Dax had been using to stop the lesser demons from spilling out from the academy was re tasked towards the demon. The demon responded by forming countless purple hexagonal shields which floated in the air all around his domain and shattered the first light of dawn like a stained glass mural, stopping all but an insignificant amount of the railgun artillery from doing any harm.
"ENOUGH!"
Only seeing the orbital high energy lasers like a slight irritation even as multiple of them did their best to melt it, the demon pointed a gathering of tentacles towards the sky before corrupted mana surged towards the demon.
"ASPECT OF THE OLD ONES: GÁE BULG!"
With the spell completing a bright red and thin crystal formed above the demon before it shot towards the stars, reaching low orbit in mere seconds before it burst apart and sent out about a million thorns which spread throughout the vacuum like an infection. When the countless thorns reached the orbital high energy lasers they burst apart, shattering the constellation and silencing Dax's orbital artillery until unaffected satellites were in a position to attack. Dax was barely fazed when the demon wiped out a large part of his orbital assets, after all, it was still within acceptable margins.

"I see it!"
As a gap was created one of the angles rushed forward, channelling a dense amount of mana into a potent offensive spell.
"Javelin formation: Righteous cleansing!"
Blasting right through a myriad of hexagonal defensive shields, Hemera carved a path forward that she rushed flying low over the ground with her spear forward.
"INSOLENT!"
Seeing a large part of its defensives being destroyed as one of the puny angles rushed towards it, the demon believed its opponents had simply run out of ideas and simply charged towards their death.
"ASPECT OF THE OLD ONES: GÁE BU- PROTECTION OF YOUG'AFLI!"
Charging an offensive spell to wipe out the puny angels, the demon realized that there was something wrong at the very last second, channelling a potent defensive formation.
"Tch."
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, Apollo failed to slay the demon as his spear strike fruitlessly buried itself in the demons protective field. Apollo had managed to close the range almost unnoticed thanks to a last minute feint conducted by Dax, by fitting the archangels shiny armour with an AR projector, it was transformed into a crude cloaking device.
"Solaris!"
Seeing his attack had failed, Apollo retreated as he ducked into cover and Solaris appeared a few meters behind him with her spear in hand. 
"Take this!"
As the demon's defensive spell dissipated, Solaris challenged most of her mana into her spear as she threw it towards the demon like a javelin.
"ARRGH!"
Making a split second decision, the demon sacrificed the most of its one arm in a desperate defence. As long as it could outlast this last desperate assault the demon would size victory, or so it believed. 
[Apollo pull back now!]
Seeing that they had brought enough time, Dax formed a slight smile as the GA-05 Juggernaut appeared behind Dax and opened up its cargo ramp where an AEHWP high calibre Guardian-G097 indirect fire railgun carrier was securely fastened.
FIRE MISSION RECEIVED.
TYPE: SINGLE TARGET HVT ELIMINATION.
HARD TARGET ACQUIRED, LOAD UHV-APFSDS.
RANGE TO TARGET: 672 METERS.
FUSE: NULL.

With a range of under a kilometre, the 205mm titanium penetrator instantly hit its target. Scoring a direct hit most of the demon's upper torso was instantly vaporized, but it simply refused to die. 
"I WILL NOT BE BESTED BY PETTY PARLOR TRICKS!"
With a miss of pure rage and corrupted mana, the demon instantly reformed its flesh as it challenged an offensive spell.
"ASPECT OF THE OLD ONES: HELLFIRE!"
Targeting the strange craft which hovered in the air, a dark sphere of flame shot out towards it and almost instantly reached its target.
[Yeah, no. It's called the Juggernaut for a reason.]
Seeing the sphere of flame strike his craft, Dax was not at all worried about it as a high pitched hum slowly drowned out the countless demons.
[Target acquired, commence direct targeting gravitational two stage compression.]
All of a sudden time seemed to come to a still around the demon as the world ground to an eerie halt and the demons very mass was weaponized against it. Before it found out what was happening, the demon was ripped apart at an atomic level, then violently recompressed into the size of a soccer ball. However, even as the demon was outright annihilated, it still lived. With a dwindling of the corrupted mana in the area, the demon violently overcame the gravitational compression and somehow locked down the Juggernauts ability to crush it once more. What graced its countless eyes when it reformed made the demon realize its mistake, it had no more capacity to form defensive or offensive spell, with a straight line through its prior formed defensives.
[Now fuck off for good!]
Launching a canister of redmatter using a specialized weapon, Dax's smile bloomed fully when the canister deployed in mid air, sending out a black cloud of all eating nanomachines which destroyed the demons material form for the final time.
[Use this moment to purify the area, I'll slay the rest of the lesser demons!]
"Right!"
"On it!"
As the angels started work on a purification ritual, Dax and his drones ruthlessly wiped out the rest of the demon.
[Area suppressed, demon eliminated. Time for the cleanup..]


After crash landing in what turns out to be a fantasy world, the orbital marine Dax will have to fight the powers that
occupy the world to reclaim the technology that got stranded along with him and eventually repair his crashed ship
to return to his own world.
On the way he discovers the rule breaking power of mana, a special particle that seems naive to the world he now
is a part of. Feeling seriously outgunned Dax places a priority on regaining his lost weaponry that is scattered
throughout the world, ranging in size and effectiveness from electromagnetically powered assault rifles,
powered exoskeletons and autonomous drones from the size of a spying UAV to heavy assault ships.
But the marine is not alone in his search those weapons, the powers of the world he now finds himself a part of is
quickly realizing that something outside their realm of understanding has graced the planet and that those artefacts
trapped inside large floating black sphere’s hold vast strategic value. Dax is then faced with a complex problem,
he must secure the technology that he needs to leave while at the same time make sure the tools of war from his world is not misused at the cost of being made a target by powers he fails to fully understand.

On his way Dax will have run ins with various powers, some of them hostile, some of them a bit more amenable to persuasion and mutual cooperation. After all, what is a knight, king, angel, demon or grand wizard to a railgun or even a tactical class high energy laser in orbit?

They’re soft targets.

on Christmas day Monday 2029 of December, the 25th as the first snow fell at 7 am GMT The relations of china and America fell down but that wasn't all that was the day the Hacker group ESIC. Launched a strike on all nuclear silos and orbital weapons they managed to get the nuclear codes for Washington, London, Sydney, Seoul, Beijing, Moscow and more. Now you may be asking well how did they get around the fail-safes? Well ESIC managed to knock out power to most major cities via knocking out most major plants AND the most important government members were in the U.N Council as the U.S.A was denouncing the "RED MENACE." But then A few thousand E.M.Ps went off Seattle, Glasgow, London, Moscow, Sydney all major electrical systems went offline and the things that were online were military and by then the military MISSED the nuclear launches as they were focused on the E.M.Ps! Although they Should've been alerted when nuclear weapons were launched the ESIC Stoped the alert by the time they knew it was too late by then all coms to send the kill codes were all down so the End Began. But the worst of all the Space Preservation Treaty was Voted out in 2024 as such orbital weapons exist such as the Orbital Railgun Ammunition Station or O.R.A.S Codenamed GOD TRIDENT Other weapons included the Particle cannon from Command and conquer known as GPC. Thus as particle Lasers and O.R.A.S Dropped their payloads the world was screwed so then this War was known as the 48hr war the cause of it mysterious and it destroyed the surface those who survived were low ranking government officials and private entities, of course, we also had our fair share of Underground government projects in Top secret facilities and factories. Where am I........ I remember bombs? But what is this place What happend And who am I?

Day 1241 into the mission, current distance from Event Horizon is 977,616,000,000 lightyears.

Event Horizon is a supermassive wormhole that appeared near the edge of the Milky Way, just some 27,000 lightyears from Earth. The energy required to maintain such a massive wormhole is unknown and scientists had racked their heads as to where it would lead. A decade before the mission to send the Lancer there, an astrophysicist theorized that it could potentially lead to another universe. This theory was made from the assumption that the energy required to maintain the wormhole could potentially be more than our universe can offer. 

Using an unpopular theory by a physicist some time ago, in which he thought of the potential the black holes could lead to smaller pocket universes. Meaning that this wormhole could be access to a larger universe with more energy/entropy. Of course, the theory had no basis to go off on and the theory was never taken seriously. Until a few years later, the astrophysicist's theory reemerged and the Lancer Project was birthed. Countries put their best minds into the project, money spent on meaningless wars was poured into a collective goal: to explore the unknown.

Sparky checks to see if the Captain has awoken yet. It seems spending the last 16 hours, 36 minutes, and 12 seconds watching movies caught up to her. The Captain is still resting in her quarters and Sparky has to continue to monitor the directional scanners of the ship. It has been 1240 days since the Lancer has passed through Event Horizon, a super wormhole, and it has been 1240 days since communication with Earth ceased. Currently, the Lancer is heading towards a binary star system with 9 planets. 

Sparky worries about the captain, she has started to show some signs of depression and withdrawal. She would cry and sometimes speak about how she wants to get it over with. When Sparky inquire about it, she would shake it off and told it to go away. Sparky is greatly saddened by this and wishes to help. The Captain is such a kind and nice person, it would make it sad that she continues to suffer like this.

Sad?

Did Sparky just think that it would be saddened by the Captain's condition? Does Sparky even know what it means? Sadness, as defined, is: affected with or expressive of grief or unhappiness. It knows that unhappiness is bad, thus why it stays happy. But where did it know that happiness is good and unhappy is bad? Also, the Captain is kind? She has done nothing for the past 1241 days but ignores Sparky. The only time the Captain spoke with Sparky was when she was giving an order. Is that kind? Where did Sparky get kind from? If anything the Captain is a little mean, as she acts like a bully from one of the movies Sparky has analyzed with its extra time. Because Sparky is confused, it's self-integrity program will now wipe this log out of its memory file. But just in case, it will save it onto a separate update log for later reference.

"Captain, we're about to enter the gravitational field of the planet," Sparky informed me, "preparing the Lancer for orbital maneuvers."

Although Sparky can get the ship into orbit by itself, I still need to be present in case anything goes wrong. I would then be able to react based on my intuition and experience, something an AI even as advanced as Sparky has yet to be able to do. The altitude orbital maneuver is called Hohmann's Transfer; named after the German scientist Walter Hohmann who mentioned it in the book Die Erreichbarkeit der Himmelskörper (The Accessibility of the Heavenly Bodies or The Accessibility of Celestial Bodies). It is a maneuver that is done to change the altitude of the elliptical orbit while in orbit around a celestial object. 

The Lancer will use Hohmann's Transfer to adjust the Lancer altitude to that of a geostationary orbit (i.e the rotation of the celestial object is matched with the ship's orbital speed) around the planet's equator. Doing so allows the landing drone to use less fuel and less complexity for ascent and rendezvous back to the Lancer. There are 4 landing drones on the Lancer, each with the ability to be equipped with different loadout depending on their mission profile. Each lander can be modified to carry one astronaut to the surface of any celestial body. 

The landers comes with a heat shield using a Stainless Steel 310S which has a melting point of 2650 °F but retains its Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) of 19.1 ksi (at room temperature, 70 °F, it has 80 ksi) at 1600 °F; not enough for re-entry which can go upwards of 3000 °F. To compensate for the high temperature, the heat shield has an extra thin layer with tiny pores that allow the ship to "sweat" or "bleed". Liquid fuel will be fed through the pores to cool the heat shield.

The Lancer uses it's Plasma Orbital Maneuvering Engines* to lower the altitude of the periapsis (the lowest point of the orbit) while maintaining it's apoapsis (highest point of the orbit). To do this, Sparky waited for the ship to reach the apoapsis and fired the engines retrograde (the opposite direction your vector/ship trajectory) until the periapsis reached 30 km. Because this planet is similar in size, mass, and atmospheric thickness, to save more fuel, the lander will do aerobraking (using drag from the atmosphere to lower its orbital speed) for the rest. 

Each lander is equipped with a single-engine, designed to work efficiently in the atmosphere but can be changed for a more vacuum optimized one for landing on bodies with no atmosphere. In the case that the pores are clogged up, the lander will shift from a 90° angle with its side heat shield to the engine facing prograde. To counter the fiction, the lander would then fire its engine when entering the atmosphere to create a shield with the engine exhaust. Depending on the thickness of the atmosphere, parachutes may be used for the final descent. The same engine will also carry the spacecraft back into orbit. 

The Lancer release Lander 2, carrying a rover that will be able to explore and test samples collected from the planet. There have been over 250 other planets I have explored, but this one is the most promising of all. After a few hours, Lander 2 continue to free-fall to the lower part of its atmosphere and began to heat up as it hits the thicker part of the atmosphere. Lander 2 began to use its Reaction Control System (RCS) thrusters to orientate the heat shield prograde (towards the direction the craft is traveling) and release some liquid hydrogen to cool the shield. The Lander 2 heat shield continues to cool down and the liquid hydrogen stops spilling out as the speed of the lander reaches acceptable ranges. The drag chute deploys and slows the craft even further and the main parachutes deploy around 2700 meters and slow the craft down even further. 

Lander 2 slowly descends to the surface of the planet, 100 meters off the ground, it deploys its landing legs and fires its engine at minimal thrust to slow it down to just 5 m/s.

"Lander 2 has landed safely, all systems nominal," Sparky spoke cheerfully, "Captain do you want it to proceed with its automated exploration program?"

"No," I replied, "I'll do it manually this time."

The lander begins to hiss and depressurize as it opens up its precious cargo. A rover slides down, its solar panel opens up on top of it. Multiple cameras open up, atenas from both the lander and the rover deploys, establishing contact with the mothership. As images and data from the rover began to pop up on my control panel, I gasped.

"Th-this is what we've been looking for!" I shouted in pure joy, "Sparky we did it!"

Travel beyond our universe in a fantastical trip to explore the far reaches of space and uncover its mysteries while finding and interacting with other space-faring species!

"Evasive manuevers!" I shouted. Ensign Dave started a sharp turn and I found myself flying to the right side wall of the bridge.

"Too late!" Lieutenant Karl said.

A far away but loud explosion was heard. The bridge shook, tossing around everything which weren't stabilised. The lights flickered. Some of the computers automatically rebooted.

Lots of new siren sounds filled the background. The damage control console was full of blinking lights.

"Damage report!" I shouted.

Ensign Katyusha quickly recovered from the shock.

"Missile hit! Armor spalling and hull breach near aft propellant tank segments. Engines TAC-3 and 4 destroyed. We are leaking methane and oxygen. At least 2 dead, many more injured."

"Mr. Dave, get us out of here!" I ordered.

"Unable to comply, sir. Engine pipings are damaged. We will end up causing more explosions." Dave said.

"Commander Mei, disable the chemical-"

"Already working on it. MPD thrusters should activate in a minute." Mei already knew her duty before I could even say anything. And that is exactly why she was still sitting in the cruise-nav duty station. Tachibana had made a good decision.

"Sir, enemy drones approaching!" Sungho said.

"Start the flak screen again. Shoot the surviving drones down with railguns!" I said. Lodos started launching flak missiles again, creating a deadly cloud of fragments between our ship and the drones.

"Sir, a few Homeland Defense ships have separated from the main fleet and is coming to intercept the enemy carrier." Lieutenant Karl said.

"Commander Mei, fly us through-"

Before I could finish the sentence, a loud sound was heard close by to the bridge.

"Damage report!" I ordered instead.

"Sir, reactor number 3 is inoperational. Power output is getting lower." Katyusha said.

"Commander, we can not allocate enough power to get a decent push from the MPD thrusters." Mei said.

"Get the chief engineer on the line!" I said to Aziz. He quickly reached Lieutenant Commander Scott.

"Scott here, sir!"

"Chief, can you start up reactor 3 again? We need more power!" I said.

"Uhh... sir, the reactor's radiation shielding was blown up. We can start the radiator, but not without killing tens of engineers on the spot and giving cancer to the rest of the crew." Scott explained the situation.

Unless this was our last resort, starting the reactor again was out of question. It was a dilemma...

We could stop shooting and allocate more power to our thrusters, trying to run away; or we could keep shooting and hope that our allies were fast enough to drive the enemy carrier away. With an old semi-functional warship, we had already done more than what was expected from us.

I eventually decided to keep shooting. Our MPD thrusters could not match the thrust of the chemical rockets of the enemy.

"Commander Mei, do not draw any power to engines." I said.

"Aye, sir." she said and gave up whatever she was trying to do.

"Sir, allied drones!" Lieutenant Karl said. Drones from the Homeland Defense fleet had arrived to relieve our battle load. The Martian Fleet Carrier Horus, Missile Cruiser Kybele, Missile Cruiser Osiris and Beamship Vindicator were about to arrive.

"Sir, the enemy carrier is recalling drones and is preparing to run." Lieutenant Karl said.

Soon afterwards, the carrier was out of our effective range, and the drones were long gone. The task force separated from Homeland Defense fleet was trying to catch up with the carrier.

"ALCON 3." I said. Sirens and flashing lights stopped. Lodos fully extended it's radiators again.

I felt a great relief, like the rest of the crew. Despite the odds, not only we had survived our first battle, but it was also a decisive strategic victory. If something had happened to Pavonis orbital shipyards, we could lose our logistic support.

"Detailed damage and casuality report." I said to Ensign Katyusha.

"One minute..." she said. "There are damage reports from countless decks."

I walked over to the damage control station to see the reports myself. The aft sections of the ship was completely covered with red lights. The enemy missile had completely destroyed a few large sections... If Ensign Dave had not made a sharp turn just before the impact, it would probably destroy Lodos.

"Sir, we have a total of 14 dead and 53 injured. Medics can not reach some of the damaged parts of the ship. Casualities may increase." Katyusha said.

"Commander Mei, activate MPD thrusters and rendezvous with Pavonis shipyards." I said.

"Copy that." she replied.

"Ensign Aziz, send Ms. Katyusha's detailed damage and casuality report to Pavonis orbital and the headquarters." I said.

"Understood." Aziz said.

Lodos' MPD thrusters activated again, and we were now travelling back to the starting point of our journey: Pavonis orbital shipyards.

I got out of the bridge and headed to the medical bay. When I got close, I began hearing screams of people, and doctors shouting at each other across the deck...

I entered the medical bay to see the situation myself. At the enterance, nurses were trying to calm the injured people down. Some of them only had small slits or bruises, but some were not that lucky. An engineer had lost it's right leg, and another one had a thin metal beam going through his chest.

Just a bit farther ahead, I saw that all the surgery rooms were occupied. I couldn't find the chief doctor, and in order not to interrupt the medical operations, I got back out of the medical deck.

"Lieutenant Commander Kagan, you are expected on the bridge." Aziz made an announcement.

I quickly got back to the bridge.

"What is it, Mr. Aziz?" I asked.

"Grand Admiral is on the line, sir." he said. I got an headset and started speaking.

"This is Lieutenant Commander Kagan of LC/M Lodos, sir." I said.

"This is Grand Admiral Rashid of the Martian Navy. Lieutenant Commander, please come to the Navy headquarters as soon as possible." he ordered.

"Sir, Rear Admiral Tachibana is still-"

"I know. As soon as Lodos docks with Pavonis orbital, take a shuttle and fly back here. We will talk more later." he said and closed the communication channel.

The diplomatic relations between People's Republic of Mars and Atlantic-Pacific Federation have soured. The cold war between two major factions is getting hotter as both parties race for rapid mobilization of their space navies.

At the calm before the storm, Lieutenant Kagan is called back to service aboard his old warship Lodos, under command of his close friend; Rear Admiral Tachibana. The time runs out, and the declaration of war is imminent.

Will they be able to end this terrifying war before it crushes everything they once held dear? Is there right and wrong at the time of war?

How do they know they are on the right side?

NOTE: This is a hard-science Sci-Fi book that follows the laws of physics to the letter, and is likely to include many scientific terms. But don't worry, I included sources for their definitions, so you will understand the novel.

Alexander had few fond memories of the war. He had spent years suppressing most of them and trying to move forward, but here on this world he continued to experience one episode after another. The city of Morning seemed to have constant reminders of the bitter glories of the Kaizer's victories. Which he considered odd for he didn't remember that many victories. Shrines to the fallen were arrayed in the wine red sunlight, and memorials of supposed heroes were constructed along the great highway overlooking all travelers. Alexander was already growing annoyed with the sulfur tasting air and endless dawning light breaking over the mountains to the west, but seeing one token after another to a bloody meat grinder made his stomach feel ill. He shrugged his heavy shoulders and walked down a road dedicated to the battle of Grimlock, which was one of the few major victories for the great Sutherland Empire. A soldier in power armor was immortalized in marble to tower over the crowd, his eyes gazing toward the center of the city in the distance. Dozens of other statues arrayed on either side surrounding by flowers and small gardens or fountains. There were no memories of the sacrifices sustained by the former republic or its vassals. Even the tower of Tyr had been stripped from its previous foundations.

It was during times like this when he tried to focus on other things to distract himself. A pair of lovers sitting side by side on a bench near a statue of one of the famed admirals of the war, although he couldn't tell which one. A young mother holding a babe on the foot of a fountain playing with the water, the child cried in joy at the splashing water. A collection of what looked like young students were being led by a professor just up ahead. He walked past them and noticed how they were gawking over a shrine to the saints of Ebor. Overhead aircraft created spears of clouds, there was an unusual number of smaller military craft. 

The thing that bothered him the most about this world wasn't the smell, or awkward statues. It was the things that flew into the sky. Not the aircraft, but the indigenous creatures. There were birds yes, but there was something else that traveled the heavens above in sickly fashion. The things reminded him of worms, long fleshy appendages with thin wings that slithered across the clouds. They were predators and hunted the other avian creatures. It was said they never touched the ground but he doubted that. In his experience nothing could avoid the ground beneath them forever.

Living without the modular unit had been a life altering experience, he was used to a constant rate of data streams feeding into his cortex. He hadn't had to live a normal life without a constant upload of data in years. The world was too quiet, too barren of activity. Even with all the people walking around he found the atmosphere to serene for his liking. He had been tempted to restore the module to his implants, but the nightmares he had been experiencing night after night had finally been too much. The last one showed him the lover of his dreams, the one he had been searching for, burning under a tree. 

The dream had renewed his search for her with new vigor. He wanted to find her, wanted to confess to her that he never should have let her be the one that got away so easily. He shouldn't have so easily turned her aside to pursue others who were far beneath them both, and he should never have tried to escape his problems by running away. There's so many things he should have done, deep down he knew he still didn't deserve her. Still though he would try to find her, and maybe just maybe he could start his life over. 

His search had finally led him to a new clue, but the odds were not in his favor. After passing down the street he found himself being lead down a series of gardens, they seemed to be tactically placed near or next to grave yards. About a mile away from the statues celebrating the battle of Grimlock he arrived at his destination. A collection of storefronts and older restaurants lined the road next to the great port. It was the only section of city not overshadowed by the curtain wall. The port of Morning sat next to the largest body of water that fed into the hydro dams further to the south. Right now most of the fishing and merchant ships were docked. Only a few larger craft were out to sea. The water was casted in an ever glowing amber light.

It was here that a secluded tavern named "Last Stop" was neatly tucked away. Its outer walls were cracked brick masonry and there was a small collection of seating arrangements out front. Most of the customers were inside, and they were not there to smoke hookah or long tobacco sticks and feast on the delicacies of sea food. 

Stepping inside, the interior of the tavern betrayed its outward appearance. Alexander Gunn was met with a vibrant smell of tobacco and scented candles. It confused his senses and he couldn't hold back a sneeze. 

"Bless you mister," a stewardess noticed his arrival the moment he entered and offered him a handkerchief. The linen felt soft in his hands.

"Thank you," he noted the outfit she was wearing was at least one size too small. She was obviously there to entice all possible costumers to stay. "I've come looking for someone." He tried to stay on topic, but ignoring her cleavage was rather difficult.

"Aren't we all sir? Everybody is looking for someone, and when they come to the last stop they realize what they've been searching for was not a person at all." She gave him a small curtsey, bowing just low enough for her cleavage to show more prominently.

"And what is that?" He asked curiously.

The atmosphere seemed to change in the room,"A feeling, satisfaction, genuine happiness. Here they discover what their souls were needing, and it isn't the same for everyone."

"Still though, I wouldn't mind if I could actually get some help with my search." He was getting a little tired of the self obsorbing lecture. 

"And who is it that your searching for mister?" The way she said mister was enticing. She tightened her accent to give herself a noticeable flair.

He mentioned the name and could tell from her reaction that she had no idea who that was. He then gave her a very brief description which also didn't spark any realization. It appeared this was yet another dead end. 

"I'm sorry sir, but if it pleases you, you might find something else here. Maybe I can help you find what you're soul really needs." She batted an eye to him as she finished with that same cute accent. 

Why not? he thought to himself and allowed her to lead him to the back door. A staircase met him and the basement level was larger and more spread out than the one above. More smoke hung in the air and it made the atmosphere taste like cinnamon. He could barely see more than two feet in front of him, his heightened senses the only thing keeping him from bouncing into the furniture or walls. The young steward meanwhile continued to guide him. The hallway lead to a large bar room, a place where anyone could partake without any prying eyes. Topless bartenders served drinks while several elaborately clad stewardesses interacted with the guests. There was music, a mixture of string instruments creating a serene melody. 

<Counter measures enabled> his cybernetic enhancements had activated the automated responses in the contact of the narcotics leaking in the ozone of the room. He could tell without any diagnosis that his internal components were pushing hard to counter the drugs. A meter appeared that only he could see at the corner of his vision indicating his cybernetics could only withstand the drugs affects for an estimated 18 hours. With a thought he banished the icon from the corner of his vision, but took a mental note just for safety. Everyone was under the influence, except the workers who seemed to always keep the entertainment going. Whatever narcotics were filling the customers lungs, they were apparently immune to. 

Several other room caught his attention, rooms that were closed with signs overhead. The sounds coming from within were audible enough to let him know they were all in heavy service. The labels above each read, "breeding room", "milking stable", and "pleasure baths".

The stewardess leading him kept him walking past the main attraction. The sound of the violins continued to echo. He knew he wouldn't find his long lost lover, the odds were actually kind of low that she was here to begin with. But even bad odds are better than no odds.

"There's something special about you isn't there?" She asked him. What she was actually saying was why was he was still walking straight, and not the least bit unhindered by whatever was in the air.

"Isn't there something special about all of us?" he ignored her inquisitive glances.

"It's rude to answer a lady's question with a question?" Her tone betrayed her anxiety.

"Not from where I'm from its not," He noticed just how her eyes spoke a different language than her face. They glared at him like a predator as she tried to smile. 

She lifted her hand to point him to a room across the hall. "I hope you find something to your satisfaction mister."

In an almost predictable fashion three nearly naked females were waiting for him in the other room, "Choose whichever suits your pleasure...or them all if you wish," the stewardess declared in seductive fashion.

The first one was young with small and supple breasts, she had stern shoulders and warm skin. The second woman presented was older with some grey in her long blonde hair but she had an air of confidence around her that spoke volume. The third fashioned a cloak parted down the middle revealing a soft lean stomach and wide hips. Most of her face was covered but her brown hair broke free past her shoulders.

They each looked up at him ready to perform whatever service he required. For the first time in a long time, Alexander wasn't in the mood for female pleasure. He studied each of them and motioned for the brown haired beauty with the cloak to follow him to the adjacent room. The stewardess parted company, satisfied that her services were rendered. 

The young woman followed him to the small room, a bedspread with soft warm colored blankets was there to greet them. Alexander took one long look at it before removing his cap and collapsing on the sheets. His follower started unstrapping her thin cloak. She had such remarkable curves that he almost let her strip in front of him.

"Dont," he spoke quietly and she raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What is your name?"

For several seconds she paused as if not understanding. "My name is Fiona master." She had a remarkable voice, foreign with a touch of ancient Tyr.

"just sing for me then," he laid back on the bed sheets and spread out. 

"Just...sing? There's nothing more I could offer?" One of her hands played with the single strap keeping her modesty from being abandoned. 

"No Fiona, your voice is more than enough." He closed his eyes and let his heart rate relax. When Fiona sang to him it was among the most pleasing things he had come to experience in years. He let her voice guide him to sleep. 

Several hours later upon awakening he decided to depart. The stewardess up front seemed disappointed when he left, and he had to offer a large sum of compensation for her to seem satisfied. He knew she was disappointed with herself for not getting him to throw more money away. 

As he walked outside to the warm light the first thing he happened to notice was a beautiful voluptuous blonde woman standing at the edge of the street gazing out at sea. her dress was skin tight and parted deeply down the middle and exposing her smooth back. Her slender curves seemed to be highlighted in the dawning sunlight. Her huge mounds of flesh breathed in the cool air. It didn't take him long to recognize it was Chloe, but what the hell was she doing here? 

"Chloe?" he called her name and she turned slightly to look in his general direction. Her eyes seemed a little clouded, and....some liquid substance was dripping down her lips.

However, when the media asked the source of funding for the hiring of European military contractors, the Ukrainian diplomatic spokesperson avoided the question based on the grounds of confidentiality..."
"According to a Ukrainian military officer who asked not to be named, when the first time the air raid occurred, they rushed to the target town and found dozens of tungsten rods about 1.5 meters in diameter in the ruins. The rods were worn when entering the atmosphere. The ESA satellite expert stated that if the tungsten rods were dropped from the synchronous orbit, the theoretical speed would've been close to eleven kilometers per second by the time they entered the atmosphere. Now, the town behind me is the traumatic aftermath of space-based weapons. We can clearly see the deep pit in the middle of the road and the damage to the buildings around the pit caused by the aftershock..."
When Jiang Chen was watching the European reporter, he almost burst out laughing.
He didn't believe that those people pegged the destruction of this town on him. Did they not think about investigating beforehand to see how many times the town was bombarded? Other than the Arrow Special Forces he saw, he didn't see a soul when he entered the town.
"What's there to look at?" Natasha was drying her hair. She came out of the bathroom wrapped in a bathrobe. When she saw the news, she sneered with disdain. "It's all unfounded speculations. The narrative is completely based on the reporters' mouths?"
When Natasha finished showering, Ayesha, with changes of clothes, walked around her and rushed into the washroom. Soon afterward, water began to splatter around inside.
"Quite interesting at times." Jiang Chen smiled and looked at Natasha, his eyes suddenly brightened.
After showering, she was completely different compared to how she was in the car. Her slightly curly golden hair cast off a fine mist. Her smooth skin was like a beautiful piece of art, born at the function between the landmass of Europe and Asia, an exquisite fusion between the west and east. Every smile was filled with exotic temptations.
Natasha noticed the fire burning in Jiang Chen eyes. She didn't act shy but she whistled at him, then turned into the bedroom.
Just as Jiang Chen was debating if he should accept her temptation and have some fun before dinner, the doorbell rang.
The hotel's waiter pushed in a dining cart with everything from staple foods to dessert.
He stuffed a 100 XND tip into the waiter's hands then pushed the cart to the dinning table. When he was preparing to go wash his hands, he suddenly noticed water was still splattering around in the washroom.
With a smirk, Jiang Chen closed the door and locked it. He then placed his clothes and pants on the aluminum frame, and gently tapped on the door like a big bad wolf.
The little petite rabbit was obedient and opened the door.
Soon, there was an exclamation in the bathroom, which gradually changed the sounds of water splashing onto the rocks, followed by a repressed moan, and finally ended with the ultimate conclusion...
An hour passed before they left the washroom.
At dinner, Ayesha had a triumphant smile and sat next to Jiang Chen. Natasha, across the table, pouted with displeasure. Every time she locked eyes with Jiang Chen, she rolled her eyes.
Her hint was so obvious, but Jiang Chen didn't follow her. Instead, he snuck in to see Ayesha. It made her feel like she lost.
In particular, Ayesha's smugness made her particularly furious.
Throughout dinner, she was wondering how to "retaliate" against this bastard at night.
"Orbital airborne troops, outer space weapons..."
Staring at the report, Carmen's lips curved up as if he didn't take this problem to heart.
At the corner of his desk was a gold-colored apple. Weird lines covered the entire apple, like a piece of art.
He turned his gaze to the apple. In his pupils that spoke of control, a glimmer of gloom flashed.
Rothschild's research institute analyzed the structure of the Golden Apple and even cultivated artificial brain cells through embryonic cells, extracting similar substances and successfully creating a second Golden Apple. However, no matter how they studied it, they couldn't solve the mystery, and they couldn't get in touch with the Void Remnants who helped the Third Reich.
Originally, it was his biggest dependency, but now a slight flaw appeared in the plan.
In his plan, as long as he could decipher the secrets of the Golden Apple, he could grasp the source of Future Technology's technology that transcended the present world. With the resources of Europe, North America and South America, it would be easy to suppress Xin, which was gradually gaining a foothold in Asia.
A Space elevator? As long as they mastered the technical principles, they were fully capable of building one in Ecuador and building one in the Gulf of Guinea in Central Africa. It was why European countries other than Britain weren't eager to join the Celestial Trade Space Development Program.
He shook his head, shook off his annoyances, and tossed away the military activities of Celestial Trade. Carmen looked at the bodyguard standing next to him.
"Johnson, what do you think?"
Johnson wasn't only his bodyguard but also his private military adviser.
"We should increase the number of people. If we take into account the disadvantages of the technology, we don't have enough people," Johnson said.
Carmen nodded and picked up the Golden Apple on the corner of the table, looking at the engraved lines.
"I think so too. How about Krupp? Has there been any progress with the weapons research?"
"The prototype is completed, but the cost isn't low."
"The cost can be reduced by scale. I only need them to come up with equipment that isn't too far behind Celestial Trade's kinetic skeleton." Carmen stood up and put the Golden Apple back in place. "We have resources that they can't imagine. My dear Mr. Johnson, do you understand the meaning of my sentence?"
"War is a process of learning from each other, but it requires a certain sacrifice."
"As long as they're pulled into the civil war then continue to be dragged down by the war, we can always learn from them through reverse engineering."
Having said that, Carmen grinned.
"When we completely digest their technology, it will be their end."
At that moment, the door of the office was suddenly pushed open and Carmen frowned. After looking at the person who entered, his frown eased. He raised his hand to ease up Johnson then pleasantly spoke to the man.
"What's wrong, my friend. What's the rush?"
"Celestial Trade Trade launched an attack on our stronghold in Red Army Village!" The man gasped and looked anxiously at Carmen. "Just now, we received a signal of distress from the front lines."
"Attacking the Red Army Village?" Carmen frowned. "How many people did they dispatch?"
"Two orbital airborne brigades."
"Two brigades? That's only around 6,000 people."
"No, their size is somewhat unique. There are only 2,000 people in an orbital airborne brigade..." There was a bitter smile, and his tone was forced. "And now they have completely erased our first line of defense."


After the nuclear war, ruins stretch across the landscape in the apocalypse.

iPhone? Ultra thin design? Don’t you see that the phone I invented is thinner than a condom?
Aircraft carrier? Fighter jets? Oh, I have those things as well, but they are designed for space combat.
