Serangan tiba-tiba yang dilancarkan olehnya padaku dengan kecepatan yang luar biasa tak sempat aku hadang sama sekali. Ketiga ujung sabit hitam yang digunakannya kini tepat menyentuh bagian perutku, siap untuk merobek tubuhku menjadi dua bagian.

Ini benar-benar konyol, tak sampai sehari aku berada di sini dan sekarang aku akan mati?! Begitulah pikirku. 

Akan tetapi, bukannya tubuhku yang hancur menjadi dua bagian, sabit tersebut malah pecah dengan suara yang renyah. Puing-puingnya tampak berkilauan di bawah sinar bulan purnama yang menerangi hutan. Walau dengan tubuh manusia, ketahanan fisikku tampaknya sama sekali tak berkurang.

"Tidak!!" Gadis itu tiba-tiba berteriak histeris. "Senjata kesayanganku ... kau! Berani-beraninya kau merusak properti kesayanganku!"

Tunggu dulu, dia menyerangku secara tiba-tiba dan aku yang disalahkan dalam situasi ini? Sudah jelas bahwa aku adalah korban! Selain itu, sabit bermata tiga adalah senjata murahan yang bahkan bisa kau jumpai di pandai besi manapun ketika kau berada di Tartarus. Acient Demon macam apa yang menganggap senjata murahan seperti itu sebagai senjata kesayangan?!

"Kau sendiri yang menyerangku!" Aku membela diriku sendiri. "Lagipula kenapa kau menyerang master-mu sendiri?!"

Gadis itu kembali melesat ke arahku dengan kecepatan yang sungguh di luar akal sehat. Kali ini dia mengepalkan tangan kanannya dengan kuat dan mengarahkannya tepat ke wajahku. Mendengarnya menyebutkan sebuah nama dan melihat sifatnya yang sesuai dengan apa yang aku harapkan telah membuktikan bahwa sihirku bekerja dengan sempurna. Tak ada yang perlu dikhawatirkan, semuanya berjalan dengan sempurna kecuali tindakan bodohnya ini.

Tampaknya menjelaskan semua hal yang telah menimpaku pada demon bodoh ini akan memakan banyak waktu. Melihat dari sifatnya, kelihatanya aku harus mengeluarkan lebih banyak mana lagi untuk membuatnya sadar dengan siapa dia berhadapan.

Berpikir seperti itu, aku mulai merapalkan mantra tingkat tinggi sekali lagi.

"Wahai pintu gerbang penciptaan yang melahirkan dunia atas nama Sang Pencipta, aku, Sang Pendosa yang terkurung dalam kegelapan abadi, menantang-Mu untuk tunduk pada makhluk yang terkutuk ini. Membuka Gerbang Kegelapan Empat Belas, Orbis!"

Orbis adalah sebuah mantra tingkat tinggi yang hanya dapat digunakan oleh makhluk-makhluk yang sudah mencapai tingkat acient. Mantra ini akan mengikat siapa pun yang dekat dengan si perapal mantra menuju dunia yang sama sekali berbeda dari dunia nyata. Tidak terlalu kuat memang, tapi cukup untuk menyadarkan Fiora.

Pola sihir merah darah kembali menyebar di sekitarku, memancarkan cahaya ke segala penjuru hutan. Perlahan tapi pasti, dunia mulai bergetar saat dimensi ruang dan waktu dipaksa untuk robek, membuka celah antara dunia ciptaanku dengan dunia ini.

"Ap-Bagaimana bisa?!" Gadis itu tampaknya mengenali sihir ini dengan baik.

Aku menyeringai saat menyadari bahwa Fiora mulai panik dan berusaha lari menjauhiku. Dia menerobos pepohonan, melesat dengan kecepatan luar biasa untuk keluar dari lingkaran sihir di sekitarku. Namun, semuanya sudah terlambat.

Segala hal yang ada dalam pandanganku tiba-tiba berhenti bergerak seakan waktu telah dihentikan oleh entitas yang tak terlihat. Kemudian, seluruh dunia mulai retak dan pecah berkeping-keping layaknya sebuah cermin. Sebagai gantinya, dunia baru dengan langit yang berwarna merah gelap memenuhi segala bidang pandangan kami.

Fiora jatuh terjerembab tak jauh dariku, menghantam hamparan pasir sejauh mata memandang. Tubuhnya gemetar oleh rasa takut yang pekat dan mulai tercium begitu lezat dalam pikiranku. Makhluk ini sudah tidak lagi berniat untuk melawan.

"Berdiri dan berbalik kau iblis sialan!" Aku memakinya kesal.

Tubuhnya semakin gemetar, menatap tak percaya pada dunia yang diinjak olehnya sebelum mengangkat suara.

"The Great Desert?! Mustahil manusia itu ... " Suaranya terdengar serak dan hampir menghilang.

Dia segera berbalik menghadapku dan cepat-cepat menyeret kakinya untuk mendekatiku. Tanpa aku suruh, Fiora segera bersujud mencium ujung kakiku dengan berlinangan air mata. Berulang kali dia melakukannya seiring dengan menambahnya tingkat kengerian yang dia rasakan hingga sampai pada taraf yang akan membuatnya menjadi gila.

"Hamba mohon ampuni hamba, wahai Maharaja yang agung!" Suara itu tumpang tindih dengan suara tangis yang keluar dari mulutnya.

Walau banyak makhluk yang dapat menguasainya, Orbis adalah sihir tingkat tinggi yang sedikit unik. Setiap dunia yang tercipta dalam Mantra Orbis memiliki medan yang khas dan sangat menguntungkan si perapal.

Orbis The Great Desert hanyalah milikku seorang. Aku dapat mengendalikan setiap pasir di dunia ini menjadi bentuk apa pun dan menggerakannya sesuai dengan apa yang aku mau tanpa harus memegangnya. Itulah sebabnya aku memilih mantra ini untuk pembuktian sekaligus alasan di balik kenapa Fiora langsung mengenaliku.

Kemudian, kuhabiskan banyak waktu hanya untuk membujuk anak itu agar lebih tenang.

Setelah beberapa waktu terlewat, aku menciptakan sebuah kursi takhta tepat di hadapannya dengan hamparan pasir di sekitar kami. Walaupun sebenarnya tidak perlu, aku harus tetap menjaga wibawaku di hadapan para anak buahku. Kalau tidak, aku takut mereka akan bersikap kurang ajar di kemudian hari.

"Aku senang kau langsung mengenalku." Pembicaraan dimulai dengan basa-basi dariku.

"Te-tentu saja! The Great Desert adalah orbis terkuat di antara yang terkuat! Hanya makhluk tertinggi yang sanggup menciptakannya!" Fiora masih berlutut tak jauh dari hadapanku.

"E-em." Jujur saja, aku merasa sedikit malu mendengar pujiannya yang terlalu berlebihan itu. Namun, ini adalah harga yang harus kubayar untuk mengincar takhta ketuhanan. "Terima kasih untuk pujiannya. Orbis milikmu sebenarnya jauh lebih kuat."

Kata-kataku mengandung kebenaran yang mutlak. Orbis miliknya adalah yang terkuat, jauh lebih kuat daripada milikku. World of Demoniac Weapons, benar-benar Orbis yang sangat merepotkan.

"Lalu, walaupun kau memiliki sangat banyak senjata pusaka di dalam orbis-mu," aku kembali membuka mulut tanpa memberi kesempatan baginya untuk menjawab pujianku, "aku bertanya-tanya akan alasanmu menyerangku dengan senjata murahan."

"Bolehkah hamba bertanya sesuatu, wahai Maharaja?" 

Aku mengangkat lengan kananku sebagai tanda bahwa aku memperbolehkannya.

"Selama enam belas tahun Anda meninggalkan takhta kekaisaran, bolehkah hamba tahu apa penyebabnya?"

Enam belas tahun?!

Aku agak terkejut mendengarnya. Beberapa jam baru saja terlewat sejak aku terjebak di sini dan tiba-tiba seseorang mengatakan bahwa aku menghilang selama enam belas tahun. Wajar jika aku terkejut mendengarnya, bukan? Namun, berkat pertanyaanya juga, aku jadi mengerti akan suatu hal.

Aku telah menghilang selama enam belas tahun. Itu berarti sihir ilusi Sang Pahlawan telah berhasil melenyapkanku dalam kurun waktu selama itu. Lalu, entah bagaimana Seven Deadly Sins berhasil menemukan cara untuk membawaku kembali ke dunia. Sesuatu seperti itu mungkin saja bisa terjadi.

Dua kerajaan itu telah dihancurkan oleh Wrath sekitar tiga ribu tahun yang lalu. Aku bahkan belum dibangkitkan pada waktu itu. Lalu, kenapa Fiora menyebut nama-nama kerajaan kuno? Apa dia sedang mengejekku? Tidak, tidak. Tidak mungkin dia berani mengejekku.

"Ah, maafkan hamba! Sudah pasti mereka adalah persekutuan yang terdiri dari para elf, dwarf, manusia, werebeast, dan dragonoid. Betapa bodohnya hamba hingga tak berpikir sampai jauh ke sana! Manusia mana mungkin sanggup menerobos jika hanya sendiri."

Semuanya bertambah rumit.

Dwarven Empire telah musnah sepuluh tahun setelah aku menginjakkan kaki di dunia. Dragonoid sudah aku musnahkan saat perang besar melawan Heaven Dragon God sekitar 1.500 tahun yang lalu. Elf baru saja punah sekitar lima ratus tahun lalu. Selanjutnya, Werebeast sudah kehilangan keberanian mereka dan memilih untuk bersembunyi jauh di kedalaman hutan. Tak ada yang tersisa kecuali kerajaan manusia.

"Be-benar sekali. Itu adalah pasukan khusus yang terdiri dari tiga puluh orang. Mereka menyegelku dengan kekuatan dari para Heaven God."

Pokoknya, aku harus tahu situasinya terlebih dahulu sebelum mengambil langkah ke depan. Namun, bertanya dengan tampang bodoh pada bawahan tentu saja bukan pilihan yang tepat. Karena itulah aku akan berusaha menggali informasi dari Fiora tanpa bertanya langsung padanya.

"Apa?! Dewa-dewi biadab itu bahkan mengirim utusan ke Tartarus dan menyegel Anda?! Tuanku, hamba sarankan Anda untuk memulai ritual pemanggilan Seven Deadly Sins dan segera memulai perang dengan para Heaven God. Dimulai dari Heaven Dragon God sebagai permulaan. Hamba siap membantu dari garis belakang!" Fiora tampak sangat bersemangat.

Apa-apaan dengan garis belakang?! Yah, bukan hal yang penting juga membahas masalah sepele semacam ini. Jadi, aku memilih untuk mengabaikan kalimat terakhir yang dia ucapkan.

Seperti yang sudah kubilang, walau menghabiskan sekitar tiga perempat dari pasukanku dan waktu yang tidak sedikit, kami akhirnya meneriakkan suara kemenangan saat berperang melawan Heaven Dragon God dan para pasukannya. Itu adalah jumlah kerugian yang sangat besar sepanjang sejarah. 

Melihat dari situasinya, aku sedikit banyak mulai mengerti. Baiklah, sebagai permulaan, aku akan memastikan beberapa hal.

"Itu adalah langkah yang terlalu berisiko. Kau tahu? Pasukan iblis yang tersebar di dunia fana sekarang ini masih belum cukup kuat untuk menantang Heaven God."

"Ah, Anda benar. Maafkan hamba. Walau Anda memanggil tujuh raja iblis sekaligus, bersama dengan pasukan di bawah kepemimpinan Lord Kimaris tentu saja sama sekali tidak akan cukup. Lord Kimaris adalah Demon Lord pertama yang terpanggil ke dunia. Itu terjadi sekitar tiga ribu tahun yang lalu dimana seluruh ras di dunia masih hidup dan sibuk berperang di antara mereka. Ditambah lagi, Kerajaan Ignis dan Kerajaan Cygnus masih eksis dan merupakan dua kerajaan manusia terbesar di antara kerajaan lainnya.

Semua informasi tampak sangat cocok, mengacu pada satu kesimpulan yang mutlak. Aku mengerutkan keningku saat jatuh dalam kesimpulan tak terbantahkan ini.

Tidak salah lagi, aku telah kembali ke masa lalu. Tapi, bagaimana semua ini bisa terjadi?! Pahlawan sialan itu pastilah penyebabnya!

Jiang Qiu abruptly turned toward the source of the voice.

Upon seeing that familiar face, he frowned.

Jiang Ying Yue noticed the slight frown on her brother Qiu's face. She wondered who this person was. 

She then asked, making an innocent face and blinking her clear eyes. "Brother Qiu, who is this person?" 

Eventhough she was wearing a veil, Jiang Qiu could still see her eyes, and with her blinking her clear eyes so cutely, his heart melted into a puddle. How to resist ah?! 

Before he could answer though, the other party's voice was heard again. 

"Who am I? I am your cousin, Li Zhiqiang. Have you ever heard of me before? This is my first time meeting you. You really are very well hidden by your family!"

Li Zhiqiang was a cousin of the Jiang brothers. He was the first born of Li Mei Hua's eldest brother and he was 20 years old. 

Li Mei Hua's paternal family was a prime minister's household. She had 3 siblings with two older brothers and her being the last born. Her father, Li Kun did not take any concubine due to his love for her mother.

Both of Li Mei Hua' brothers did not take any concubine either. Unfortunately, both of them only had sons and no daughter at all; which was why Jiang Qiu was worried that Li Zhiqiang would tell it to his family members and them robbing her from him.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ying Yue did not know how to face Li Zhiqiang's enthusiasm. She was really awkward alright? 

To save Jiang Ying Yue from this situation, Jiang Quan came to the rescue.

It was a white and brown building surrounded by trees and flowers. Behind it, was huge lake, reflecting the beauty of the moonlight on its surface. It stood tall on its own, displaying its magnificence.

Orbis Building was the biggest restaurant in the capital city. Despite the price being very high, people still came and eat there because they serve the best cuisines in the whole capital city. It was heard that you have to reserve your sit first to have a meal here and the reservation line was so long that sometimes, you have to wait for 3 months for a seat to be available.

Jiang Ying Yue wondered what kind of food do they serve here. She kinda missed a lot of food from earth. Well, she was so used to having fast foods all the time. 

Having organic food here made her feel healthier but also refreshed. But sometimes, you kinda miss the unhealthy food, no?

She followed her brothers and Li Zhiqiang into the building. On the first floor, wealthy commoners and merchants could be seen. In the middle of the building, a stage was seen. She figured that the stage might be for performances. 

When they were on the second floor, she could see many nobles eating there. They were all chatting and having a good time. Some were seen playing Go and others beside them betting on who would win or lose. 

She suddenly remembered that back on earth, her comrades, loved playing chess and card games whenever they were free. They would knock on her door and invite her to have dinner together. After that, they would play chess and bet who would win. 

She was a quiet person and would always lose herself in working and researching. It was them who would try to make her day more meaningful. 

"Yue'er, Yu'er... hello? Erm.. Yue'er?" Someone called Jiang Ying Yue while waving their hand in front of her face. 

"JIANG YING YUE! Come back to reality please?" The person called again.

Jiang Ying Yue looked at the person and... Oh my god! Did she just get lost in her thoughts again?! Dammit!

Making a sheepish smile despite she knew Jiang Xiang could not see it, she apologized. "Hehe, sorry brother Xiang, I was just admiring this building. It's so big!" 

'Tsk, as if the building back on earth was really tiny.' Jiang Ying Yue was hoping that Jiang Xiang would buy her lie.

And yeap! He did! 

"Yue'er, we are eating upstairs. It is even better than here. Let's go and don't daydream again." He ordered sternly. Well, at least he tried despite looking like he was having a stomachache instead of looking stern.

"Hmm, let's go." Jiang Ying Yue agreed.

She thought that they were going to eat on the third floor but she was wrong. They went to the fourth floor instead. 

Jiang Xiang saw her confusion so he patiently explained. 

"The third floor is for rank one nobles, imperial families or distinguished guests of our country. That floor has better private rooms than the second floor. But we are going to the fourth floor because the owner is our friend and that is his private room."

'Wahhh! They were going to meet the owner? Who is it?' she wondered.

While she was wondering, they arrived at the fourth floor.

Feng could only nod in agreement. The Huangdi's Throne Room was crowded with supplicants. It was the second saturday of the month, the day that the Huangdi accepted all supplicants—at least all those who managed to reach her in the few turns of the glass she sat on the Vermillion Throne. The long hall was stuffed as tightly as sweetfruit in a crate with people dressed in their best finery. The room sweltered; Feng could feel beads of perspiration gathered at his brow and running freely down his spine to soak the cloth of the jōe he wore. "It's what all the wan'-and-shu' are wearing this season," the tailor had declared, but Feng could see nothing at all similar in the cut of the jōes and jōas nearest him. He suspected that it was last year's fashion at best, and that those staring appraisingly at him were snickering behind their fluttering, ornate fans. He also noted that he and Yue stood in their own little open space, as if those with wan' or shu' in front of their name would be contaminated if they came too close. He touched the pendant around his neck nervously—a seashell that looked as if it had been carved of stone, the plain gray rock polished from usage.

At the front of the room, the Vermillion Throne gleamed beneath the Huangdi Shangxiang wan'Heshi: the ruler of Orbis and the Satellites, the great Peacemaker, the Wielder of the Steel Halberd, the Mamaqin Satellite, who would in a few months be celebrating the Jubilee of the fiftieth year of her reign: the longest reign yet of any Huangd. In full daylight, its glow could barely be seen. The swaying chandeliers overhead were decidedly necessary: even though it was nearly Second Ring, the tall windows of the Throne Room were too narrow to allow much of the light to enter.

It was also true that Feng would have been able to duplicate that glow himself, had he dared to do such a thing here.

"Mister Deng shu'Ling!" Zhong, the Huangdi's ancient and wizened aide, called out the name in a wavering voice, reading from a scroll in his hand. The murmur of voices in the room went momentarily quiet. Feng saw someone moving toward the Vermillion Throne in response, a middle-aged man who bowed low as he approached, and Feng scowled and sighed at the same time.

"I told you that you should have slipped Zhong a coin or two," Yue stage-whispered. "He's not going to call us forward."

"I'm the Envoy Hebei Matemacian," Feng answered. "How can he ignore us?"

"For the same reasons that the Huangdi ignored the Marques of Habei that you sent her when you requested a private audience. She's tied too tightly to the Inarian Faith; she doesn't want to contaminate herself by acknowledging heretics."

"You're a pessimist, Yue."

"I'm a realist," Yue retorted. "I would remind you that I have been here in Orbis for far longer than you, my friend, and I know these people all too well. I think we're lucky to have even been allowed in the hall—it's only your pretty title that got us past Zhong. Look over there to the side. You see that man staring our way? The one in black? You can't miss him—he's blind and has silver glasses."

Feng lifted up on his toes, scanning the room in the direction in which Yue had nodded. The man stood against the wall, too casually posed. When he noticed Feng's gaze, the mustachioed lips under the pronounced nose twisted in what might have been an amused smirk. He nodded faintly in Feng's direction. "That's Commandant wan'Zhuge of the Huangd Patrol," Yue continued. "If either of us appear to be even halfway threatening, we'll be in the Gaol faster than a fly to a dead horse. So don't make any sudden gestures."

"I think you're being paranoid."

Yue sniffed. "Things are different in the west away from Orbis," he said. "I'll tell you what. I'll wager you dinner tonight that we don't meet the Huangdi today."

"Done," Feng said.

Three turns of the glass later, the Huangdi rose and everyone bowed as she left the room. Feng had yet to be called forward for his audience.

"I'm terrifically hungry," Yue commented as those in attendance filed from the Throne Room. "How about you?"

The uproar from Lady Madeleine's wedding has caused all the seeded geniuses out of their preparation for the legacy world. In addition, the Elvin World will be opening up soon. How could your elder sister miss any of those 2 things? You'll go back with her once everything is finished. Your cultivation is being stifled in this small place, your talent in alchemy and herbology is much more than mine. Don't drag yourself down because I have useless dreams."
"Uncle Ail, I'll go back, but you're coming with me. How could you expect to become an array alchemist here of all places? Oliver's expression darkened, but before he could respond, a deep and resounding voice interrupted him, "you have a lot of nerve Sparky, to claim my goddess as your woman."
"You want to fight you bald fuck? This Oliver pussy wouldn't even if I challenged him, but I'm sure you've at least opened 9 meridians, right? If not this wouldn't be any fun," Lehabim cracked his knuckles. 
A vein began to pop on the dark-skinned teen's shining head, "say that one more time you half cocked fire imp!"
Lehabim's Fiery red hair seemed to get brighter as he stormed up to Hashim. He had a smile that wasn't a smile on his face, "it seems that balding at such an early age made you senile. You think you can speak that way to just anyone?"
Oliver smiled bitterly, "guys, please. You're valued guests of our Focus Academy, you can't fight here."
They both turned to Oliver, eyes burning with fury. 
"Shut the hell up Oliver, the only reason I haven't beaten you to a pulp is because of your sister. But, considering you killed that impotent fuck, I guess she might not protect you so fervently anymore right?" boomed Hashim. 
Oliver's fists clenched. His relationship with his little sister had been his sore spot for the last month. But, he was still a genius in his own right. So, what if they'd already broken into the meridian formation stage? He was tempering his wills first to stabilize his foundation. 
"We'll see who tramples on who during the big sect tournament," said Oliver through gritted teeth, "I'm not like you weak so-called geniuses, I want to temper my meridians with 3 wills, not just 2. After I find a wind intent fruit in the Elvin world, I'll properly step into the meridian formation stage."
Lehabim and Hashim looked at Oliver with a slight surprise, 'it seems he's already understood 2 wills? And wants to understand a third?'
The truth was, the meridian formation stage was a course of opening 108 meridians. To do so, you had to temper the closed opening with your understanding of wills. This increased your affinity with your chosen wills and increased your chances of understanding those respective intents later on in cultivation and made your meridians more durable for higher levels of cultivation. Usually, regular cultivators only understand a single will before using it to temper their meridian openings. A genius would use 2. It seemed like Oliver wanted to use 3 to do so, but his cultivation had slowed down because of it. 
"With my current level of understanding of wills, don't believe that I can't slice you two in half where you stand," Oliver's eyes sharpened as swirls of sword qi flew around him.

Oliver's lip twitched, 'brother in law? Who's your brother in law…'
"So, it's lady Jessica Knoton. It's a pleasure," Oliver said politely. 
Jessica nodded towards Oliver, before turning a look of disdain towards Hashim and Lehabim, "did you think my Madeleine would be impressed by your testosterone filled heads? You two disgust me. There are a million trillion men in this world more muscular than the two of you, so how about you go take a shower and put on a shirt, you're stinking up the night air."
Oliver smiled bitterly, 'weren't you just trying to get them to stop fighting? Now you're adding fuel to the flames.'
Lehabim and Hashim turned their heated gazes towards Jessica, their eyes roaming over her tight black training suit, "it's a shame her temperament isn't as elegant or graceful as Madeleine's."
Hashim nodded in agreement, "not as beautiful either."
Lehabim and Hashim nodded together like they were the best of friends. 
"who said my love isn't as beautiful!" a round boy bounded over to the group just as sparks were about to ignite. 
Jessica's lip twitched, "who's your love! I don't need you to protect me Orbis. You can either be silent, or you can taste my wind blades like these two."
Oliver, seeing a fight was about to break out, jumped out again to try and mediate, "brothers, sister, please. The central pillar world opens up tomorrow morning. I know you all don't want to risk injury before that. Let's just talk about martial arts like the old days."
A girl with dirty blond hair and brown eyes walked slowly to the group, "Brother Sapientia is right. How about you bring out the other Focus Academy geniuses, Oliver? It might help water down the situation."
Oliver sighed in relief, seeing Viridi. His heart pounded slightly faster, but he did his best to maintain a calm smile, "since sister Venus wants to see the Focus Academy alumni, I'll call them over. Chenglei and Akihiko are currently trying their best to win over their fiancées, but there's still Draco and the top 3 from the 6th year. I can call over a few other promising geniuses as well. Remember Avios? Although he most likely passed away, his little sister is quite a genius too. Just recently turned 15 during the spring, yet she recently broke into the 6th foundation layer. Also, there's Tammy from the Storm family. It seems like she's their top genius. She's about to turn 16 yet is already at the 8th layer! I'll bring them over."
Lehabim looked excited, "Ava? She's a red head too right?" 
"hmph, can't even focus on one girl yet you think you have the right to seek out my goddess?" Spoke Hashim in disdain. 
"You're one to talk. You can't even speak cordially with the Duco family senior sisters without stuttering a blushing. I swear the shine on your head amplifies 10xs when they're around."
"You! It's called a healthy respect. A. Healthy. Respect." Hashim said defiantly. 
"disgusting." Jessica said in disdain. 
"would you like some water my love," Orbis didn't wait for an answer as he brought over a pitcher of water and poured a cup for Jessica. 
Jessica took the cup with a harrumph, "if only I knew where my Madeleine was staying, then I wouldn't have to be here," she muttered.
"Come, come. Sit at the banquet table. The geniuses of Focus Academy will be here shortly. In the mean time, we can just talk. I actually had questions I wanted to ask you about the will of wind, Jessica," Oliver said with a smile.

The next morning, hundreds of young men and women stood on the top floor below the roof of the Central Pillar. 
The pillar family heads stood in front of the crowd before Patia-Neva took a step forward to speak.

We believe this might have to do with a pact the Elvin Kingdoms had with the Celestial Deer Sect. Although we cannot be certain, the information we have cost the lives of many elders. Take this very seriously. Although there is no cap on the amount of times we can use this array, it still takes tens of thousands of profound stones to activate. So, this is a heavy investment for our school. Make sure to grasp this opportunity. The array will automatically teleport you back in one month. Good luck! And be careful! Once Patia-Neva's voice finished calling out, the sound of excited chatter filled the floor. 
"do you know anything about the Elvin World big sister?"

A tall and delicate faced blonde hair and blue eyed young man walked towards the back of two girls before catching them by surprise and putting his arms around both. 
"AH!" Ava jumped forward, trying to dodge the arm, but it seemed to be an immovable mountain. 
"Tammy!" A domineering voice rang through Ava's ear, "How about you introduce me to your friend?"
Tammy froze, looking back and up at the young man who was holding them in place, "this is my friend Ava, elder cousin. We'll be traveling together in the Elvin world."
"Well, you must have space for one more, right?" Although it was phrased like a question, it didn't seem to be. 
Tammy smiled bitterly, looking over at Ava's questioning gaze. She feigned ignorance and shrugged her shoulders. But, on the inside, she felt like she was falling apart. 
'So not only did you make me kill the man I love… You plan on making my best friend hate me for life too?... Well done "Storm" family… Well done indeed…'
A cold light flashed in Tammy's eyes as she pretended to be her normal bubbly self, "well, let's go then elder cousin. The sooner we get there, the more resources will be available to us!"
"Oh, so you're Tammy's cousin? It's nice to meet you," Ava said with a smile. She was a bit confused as to why she had never seen him before. All members of the Storm family attended the academy, right? But, she didn't bother asking, it didn't seem too important to her.

Although there seemed nothing wrong with the smile on the surface, and he was actually quite handsome, Ava felt like something was off. But, she trusted her best friend wouldn't get her into any irredeemable situations. So, she pushed the feeling aside, smiling back. 
In the back, a group of 4 blond hair and blue-eyed Storm family members looked on at Baal. 
"Poor girl, looks like Baal has set his sights on another one. Does he really have to pick on Tammy so much?" said a girl with a bow strapped across her ample chest.
"You don't even mean that, so I don't know why you try and sound sympathetic, Autumn," said another girl with a connectable spear broken in two along her back. 
"Maybe if she was strong enough, she wouldn't have to deal with all of this. Since she's the weakest, of course she'll be bullied and be sent to this trash can of a school to control the situation," Autumn retorted. 
"You're well aware that she may be the weakest, but she's also the most talented and the smartest. If you keep bullying her, the future might now be so bright for you," Said a particularly bulky and stoic man. If you knew his age was only 17, you wouldn't believe it. He stood at 2.5 meters tall. In fact, many of the crowd couldn't stop looking at him. 
A massive arm thick 4-meter-long spear graced his back. His aura was domineering despite the lazy look in his eyes. 
"Don't be such a spoiler Dagon. I've never directly bullied her. But, I'm also not strong enough to stop Baal from bullying her, only you are. So, why haven't you done anything?"
Dagon looked over at his cousin, "you know me Callidora… how can I improve if I never have any pressure? The thought of her catching up one day and trampling on my pride really gets my blood boiling," Dagon's lazy look transformed as his blue eyes darkened. Electricity started bouncing around his bulky muscles as arcs of gold, red and blue emanated from him. 
"*sigh*, you all need to calm down. You can do whatever you want in the Elvin World, but we still need to keep a low profile here. Even Tammy keeps her cultivation secret. Don't fuck it up," a faint voice stifled Dagon's aura. 
Dagon chuckled, "it seems I'll have to keep an eye on you too Blade…" 
"Do whatever you want. And remember not to touch the big sect geniuses… that's part of the deal" Faint light of spear qi circled around Blade as he walked towards the array, "let's go."

The two girls looked at each other helplessly, before following their respective elder brothers.

To Dyon, it seemed as though these words were heard all the time.

However, how could these people possibly know of all his hard work? Of the fact that sleep was but a distant relative of his. How could they know that he never had a single moment to rest. 

And yet, despite their ignorance, they still said, "you're too arrogant..."

But where were those people when a five-year-old Dyon's eyes shone looking at a computer screen filled with code? Where were those people when an eight-year-old Dyon played his piano and plucked his guitar strings until his fingers bled... needing to vent his feelings about his lost mother without bothering his fatigued father? Where were those people when Dyon sat alone at ten-years-old… when his parents were gone, and the only thing left was a room filled with inventions and computers?

Dyon's arrogance wasn't borne of thin air. It was his hard work. It was his shield. And he wasn't willing to give it up...

Now alone, he left his home behind. 

He was no longer the boy genius who changed the human mortal realm. He was now nothing but a commoner, a bug noble families saw fit to step on. An insignificant existence. 

And yet, Dyon was still the same unchanging person. Standing tall, his eyes firm and his will indomitable.  

This so-called Martial World would come to understand the meaning behind his existence...

Chapter 3. "The Mortal Maiden"

This is the first time Ethriel see the mortal world. Gabi ng mapadpad siya sa mundo ng mga mortal. Napakunot siya ng noo dahil ibang-iba ang mundonh ito sa langit at impiyerno. Mga matataas na gusali, maiingay na tunog ng sasakyan at mga nagkikislapang ilaw ang bumati sa kanya. Inilabas ni Ethriel ang malaki at itim na pakpak at lumipad ng mataas. Sa taas ay inilibot niya ang kanyang mata para hanapin si Gabriel.

Lumipad para libutin ni Ethriel ang himpapawid ng mundo ng mga mortal. Hanggang sa makita niya si Gabriel sa isang playground na nakatayo. Mabilis siyang bumaba at nakita ni Gabriel. Matalim na nagtinginan ang dalawa saka ayos at porma ng espada. 

Naunang sumugod si Ethriel at sunod-sunod na pinaghahataw ng espada si Gabriel habang panay lamang ang sangga ng anghel. Puno nang lakas na hinahataw ni Ethriel ang espada sa pananabik na makuha ang orb kay Gabriel.

"Da angelus!" (Ibigay mo na anghel!) malakas niyang sigaw saka malakas na hataw ng kanyang espada na naglabas ng malakas na apoy dahilan para tumilapon si Gabriel nang sanggain nito ang atake ni Ethriel. 

Napuruhan ang anghel sa ginawang iyon ni Ethriel at labis na itong nanghihina. Habang bakahandusay si Gabriel, isang mortal na babae ang lumapit sa kanya.

"Kuya, ayos lang po ba kayo?" tanong ng babae sa anghel. Bakas sa mukha ng babae ang pag-aalala at pagtataka sa nakitang nakahandusay na anghel. "Galing ka bang costume party?" dugtong na tanong pa ng babae nang makita ang hitsura ng anghel dahil sa suot nitong puting armor. "Nalasing ka no?" sabi pa nito saka hawak sa braso ng anghel para tulungang tumayo. 

Nang makatayo si Gabriel ay hinarap niya ang babae at taimtim itong tiningnan. Bakas naman ang pagkalito ng babae sa titig na ginagawa ni Gabriel.

"Naku kuya ah, alam kong maganda ako pero no, hindi kita type." pataray na sabi ng babae. "Tara na ikukuha na kita ng taxi, saan ka ba nakatira?" 

"Ego faciam. Ut iterum sumam eam ecce enim aliquando et nos." (Kailangan kong gawin ito. Balang araw hahanapin muli kita para kunin sayo ito.) ani Gabriel na pinagtaka ng babae. Napakunot ng noo ang babae sa sinabi ni Gabriel dahil hindi niya ito naintindihan.

"Langya, foreigner ka pala. Sabagay medyo blonde ang buhok mo at maputi ka." sabi ng babae na hindi naman naintindihan ni Gabriel. "I will take a taxi for you, okay? So you can get home now." marahan na sabi ng babae na may kasama pang pag-aksyon at parang naglalaro ng charade. 

Hindi kumibo si Gabriel at tulala lang sa babae habang dinadaing ang pinansalang natamo. Napabuntong hininga ang babae. 

"Hindi yata ako naiintindihan." sabi ng babae. Magsasalita na sana ang babae nang ilabas ni Gabriel ang "heaven's heart". Nabalot ng malakas na liwanag ang buong paligid at malakas na enerhiya. Kasabay ng paglabas ng orb ni Gabriel ay ibinuka nito ang kanyang mga puting pakpak at lumutang sa hangin.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ng babae sa nakita at hindi makapaniwala sa nangyayari. Kaunti siyang napauronh dahilan para mawalan ng balanse at mapaupo sa lupa dala ng pangangatog ng tuhod. 

"Anong nangyayare?" naguguluhang tanong ng babae habang nakatitig sa anghel na nasa kanyang harapan. "Isa ka bang anghel?"

Kasabay ng tanong ng babae ay lumapit sa kanya si Gabriel at niyakap sa siya. Sa pagyakap na iyon ni Gabriel ay inilagay niya ang orb at binigkas ang isang spell.

"Dico vobis hunc terrarum orbem servanda est. Poprotektaha impius orbe potestas. Vos can utor orbis imperium inde ex altera ripa clade. Non praesto est, ut quis in orbis cunctis diebus vitæ tuæ." 

Napasigaw ang babae nang maramdaman niya ang paglagay ng orb sa kanyang puso. Ramdam niya ang init at lakas ng enerhiyang pumapasok sa kanyang katawan. Naisin man niyang tumakbo at umalis ay hindi niya magawa. 

Sa kabilang banda, ay nakita ni Ethriel ang malakas na liwanag. Dali-dali siyang lumipad patungo rito. Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Ethriel nang makita ang orb na hawak ni Gabriel at inilalagay sa babae.

"Gabriel!" malakas na sigaw ni Ethriel saka sugod kay Gabriel ngunit mabilis na nailagay ni Gabriel ang orb sa puso ng babae at saka sila naglaho.
