The downpour lasted for an entire afternoon. The ground was soaked wet with rainwater that not a single patch within the sidewalks was dry. Henry, a 37-year-old working man, carefully walked through the 21st street of Talbreia City. 

"Ah, there are some advantages to wearing fake leathered shoes, I guess…" With a faint smile, Henry dismissively neglected the feeling of wetness inside his shoes. He could not really be bothered to care about what would happen to his cheap footwear. All he was thinking right now was to return home from his 8-hour shift and just relax.

As a single man working a boring day job; there was no pleasure in the world that could satisfy him more than the enjoyment he gets from just relaxing on his cold, soft bed, sipping a cup of tea or coffee, and just enjoying his late night TV shows. Although he was the type to become adventurous here and there, he has not been able to do anything outside his comfort zone. "Wonder if those games my coworkers were talking about are any fun? Could be a great break from my usual routine..."

He then suddenly paused, abruptly halting his steps that the water puddle beneath his feet splashed forward. "Hmm, If I were to buy it right now, I could save time from going out in the future." His current location, 21st street, wasn't far off from the nearest gaming store. Across 3 blocks from the left, he would immediately reach "Belzian Store". 

Although the name sounded like a bakery shop, it was a well-versed store for all gaming needs, or so what Henry remembers. He had bought a few games back when he was a teenager, which meant that the store was old already. The shop owner was obviously named Belzian, a person Henry was quite fond off back then. The old man would always give something extra to Henry every time he buys something, although most of those were immediately thrown into the trash by Henry's strict parents.

"Is that shop still open?" He pondered for a bit before proceeding to the direction of the store. Surely, it would still be open. The trend of games might have shifted in favor of virtual reality ones, but a versatile gaming shop would easily survive such change. Henry kept the positive thought as he paced towards the Belzian Shop.

Indeed, Henry was right. The shop was still open for business. Albeit the business was different from the one he had expected; "A fighting ring?" Henry would've never guessed that the willy diddly gaming shop from his childhood memories would become something as barbaric as a fighting ring. 

Although the distance between him and the shop was still far, he could clearly hear loud clanging followed by deafening cheers. If those weren't noises coming from a fighting ring, then Henry could not think of anything else that was happening. 

Curious as to what it really was, Henry hastened his pace; eyes gleaming with wonder.

A wild sucker punch from a bipedal lizard-like creature immediately knocked the opposing monster. It looked like a tough fight at first, but the lizard-like creature's movements were way too agile that the enemy wasn't able to react on time to gain any sort of footing to actually fight back.  

"2nd round goes to Travis The Zilla! A clear victory for Team Reptoids!"

The caster proudly announced the victor through a cheap microphone. Although it sounded a bit muffled, the sound coming from the stereo was clear enough for the surrounding people to hear; the place wasn't too big for them not to hear it anyway.

Inside the Belzian Fighting Arena; which was the gaming shop back then, had rows of seat neatly aligned at the four corners of the room. Although it was dubbed as an "arena"; In actuality, it was no more than a spacious room. The maximum seating capacity was around 150 people in total. It really wasn't that much if one really considers this place a legitimate fighting ring.

At the centermost part of the "arena" was a giant cube that measures around 3 meters on all sides. A 4-dimensional projection of the fights was being projected from the cube for the audience of the ring to see. However, the players of said fights were nowhere to be seen. If one were to keenly inspect, the entirety of the spacious room isn't all of the spans of what the previous gaming shop was. Adjacent rooms that were at the back most parts of the audience's seats were where the players reside. 

Gaming Quarters are secluded areas of a Fighting Arena. They are vital to isolate different teams from each other while playing the game, ensuring fairness. Each room is then regulated by cameras for the panel to observe and a game moderator is then assigned inside to keep track of everything that is happening within each team. 

"Wasn't the game way to easy? Who are these "Team Reptoids" anyway?" One of the panelists inquired a man seating beside him. The man glanced back at the panelist, sighed, and went back to leaning on his chair; arms crossed and everything. On his nameplate was a familiar name everyone within the room should've known by now. 

"How should I know? Not like I do the screening for these teams anyway?" Mr. Belzian dismissively replied, disinterest apparent on his expression. "If you want to know more about them, go ask my son." Mr. Belzian added before he stood up and left the arena. 

Following his exit was the creaking of the Gaming Quarters' doors. Exiting on the left was a saddened gaming team that had their pride utterly crushed, and on the right was the Team Reptoid; gleaming with smugness as they proudly strutted amongst the half-heartedly cheering crowd. 

This game was no practice match, it was a mini-tournament held by the Belzian's, or more accurately, old Belzian's son; which the arena sponsored a hundred thousand for the grand prize. "... And now to award the victors their prize" The boring closing ceremony then proceeded with the crowd of a hundred slowly dispersing by the second. 

The place soon became quiet, with nothing but the panelists and Team Reptoid remaining. Not even the losing team could be seen anywhere. 

"Eh… Not like we expected anything from a scrub town. This place can't even make us sweat in the finals." Soon enough, the team captain of Team Reptoid— Ivan, voiced out his "complaints". With a mocking tone and zero disregards to the panelists who could clearly hear him, he added. "If it weren't for the stupidly big prize for such a trashy competition, we wouldn't even be here." 

Although dejected by what they just heard, the panel, including the son of Belzian— Craig Belzian, could not retort and could only give the prize money the Team Reptoid legitimately earned. The awarding ceremony was meek. Craig handing over the money which almost felt like was robbed from the arena; from his father's "sponsorship".

Creak…
Abruptly disrupting the awarding was the sound of the shop's main door creaking open. Although the rain had stopped for quite a while, the splashing of water puddles outside made enough noise to attract the attention of everyone inside, including the smug Team Reptoid, already holding on to the cash prize.

"Is this the Belzian Gaming Shop? I am here to buy a new game…" Henry voiced out his query, not minding the odd looks from the people inside. Although it seemed like some of the shop's space was converted into a fighting ring, a few other things have not changed from what Henry could remember.

Surely, they do still sell games… right?

Avatars are commonly neglected as "cosmetics", only for the sake of beautifying one's appearance in a game.

Accidentally creating the feared "Ultimate Avatar"!

"Young master, are you ready?" said an old man in a butler uniform. This was Gerard. The person who raised Miles from the moment he was born.
Miles' family was rich. Actually, that might be an understatement. They were CRAZY rich! Miles' parents were the Co-CEO of the world's third-biggest company Greysteed. They had started out as a tech company years ago but thanks to the genius of his parents now the company had shares in almost every business venture. The family was very happy to get an heir like William, Miles' father, who made them one of the richest families on earth instead of just an ordinary rich family. They were even happier when he had married another rising star of the business world, Ailsa. She was a little foul-mouthed thanks to the Scottish blood running through her veins but as long as she could make money they could tolerate it. So when the two of them came together the Greysteed Conglomerate was born.
That didn't come without a cost, however. Even though they made so much money, they didn't have enough time to spend with their son. That didn't mean, they didn't love him or ignored him. Actually, to them, Miles was the most important thing in the world. That was why they had worked so hard to earn this much money. It was all for him!
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Miles asked as he tightened his arm around Gerard's. He didn't want to get his hopes up over nothing. He didn't want to end up disappointed like all the other times.
"Don't worry young master. This old servant can assure you that it will work. According to old master, it has already been tested before and it worked. They are actually waiting for you on the other side" said Gerard as he laid Miles into the capsule.
This was a new product one of the Subsidiaries of Greysteed Conglomerate created. It was a new gaming device. After the fail of Oculus Rift or the VR in general, people had lost hope that it was just a dream. People would not be able to actually feel like they were inside the game. However, they had actually done it. They had even gone beyond just VR. They were able to create a capsule that was able to transfer the consciousness of its user to the game itself. Basically, they would be able to feel everything their character felt, even smell it!
This was way beyond of their time, at least by a century. Even the world's medical science was not that advanced and there were so many ways they could utilize it!
When William and Aisla saw the fund application for this project they didn't even hesitate before sinking in hundreds of billions of dollars into it. Nothing came out of it for five long years and the board of directors were doubting the decision of this married couple. They had already invested close to half a trillion and they wanted to shut down the project. They just weren't able to see the bigger picture. Of course, if the research had shown some results they wouldn't be this sceptic but there was nothing on the horizon at all! Most importantly the researchers kept on asking for more funds and the married couple just gave it to them without any questions. 
Finally, in the sixth year after funding them they had come out with this technology. They weren't even any complications with the tech. There were so many ways they could use this. So many ways to make money out of it. However, the decision of the couple baffled them once more. Instead, they had learnt that they already had an idea about what they were going to use this piece of magnificent technology and it was a game! A game! Were they crazy? Who knows? But the board of directors certainly didn't have the guts to object them. They were already wrong once. So how could they claim that their decision was wrong? To their bafflement, they had learnt that the game was already completed. They just needed to release it immediately. Without any advertisement or anything. 
When asked why they just answered the tech itself was already good attractive enough and currently it was the only game of its sort. Even if they didn't advertise it themselves, others would do it for them. So they had decided to release both the 'gaming capsule' and the game tomorrow.Yes, this discussion was going on the same day Miles was getting ready to get into the game. Because his parents were the founders of this project Miles and his family was given an Early Access. They could have started even earlier if they wanted but their purpose was not to get all the good stuff and dominate the game. It was just to spend a single day together without any disturbance from the outside world. They were going to have a whole world to themselves just for today. 
Gerard closed the capsule and the machine started to give out light indicating that it started to work.
"Welcome to the World of Rappelz!"
A gentle female sound announced to his arrivial into this new world. There were bright lights everywhere and Miles' eyes hurt. Miles' furiously blinked his eyes to get used to the light. He was in a library-like room. But Miles did not pay any attention to any of them. He was actually crying. No, he was not sad. These were his tears of joy.
"I can see!" shouted Miles towards the sky.
He was born blind. His parents took him to all sort of doctors around the world but none of them was able to cure him. They had even tried to give him an eye transplant but there was no such thing. Basically, you could not transplant the optic nerves connecting to the brain. So he was destined to be blind his whole life. This was the reason his parents had funded this project upon lying their eyes onto it. They had seen a hope for their son to see. Since it was sending their consciousness directly into the game they had bet onto the possibility that it would work and it did. Not just for blindness, this technology could actually temporarily cure other disabilities like being deaf or mute. Of course, they would still be disabled outside the game but those people at least had a place where they could feel normal now.

Miles Greysteed, the favoured son of heaven. Born to one of the richest families in the world, never in his life he had to ask for anything. There was always someone to solve his problems.

However, heavens must have been too jealous of him that they have taken something very important away from him.

Now, Miles journeying in the world of Rappelz. Can he find what he lost in there?

"Hitman"?
Never heard of the game. Is it a mini-game made by foreign developers?
Ren Suo glanced at the clock. It was near noon. He ordered food to be delivered, then peed and washed his face. When he was done, he settled on the couch in the living room and started playing the Mini Worlds Gaming Console.
The apartment his uncle rented out to him was well-designed, furnished with a sound system, a 4K TV, couch and other furniture. It was a haven for a single inhabitant. And even more so with a girlfriend.
So Ren Suo bought his dream girlfriend – the fourth princess, a.k.a. Hell4PRO.
Having washed his face, Ren Suo felt fully awake. Only then did he recall that he had bought his games separately from his gaming console.
The order confirmation in his mobile phone showed that his "Unparalled Hero 8" and "Curse of the Evil Spirit 2" was still on the way. It would probably take a couple more days to reach him. So, even though he had the console, it was useless.
"Unparalled Hero 8" was the latest arcade game, while "Curse of the Evil Spirit 2" was a hardcore action RPG. Ren Suo had taken a long time to decide on these two games. He was ready to throw a few months into them till he became a platinum player and till he started work.
Because buying these two masterpieces had nearly emptied Ren Suo's gaming fund, he wasn't intending to buy digital copies of games on the Hell online game store. Digital copies were typically more expensive than physical copies. Unless there was a discount, Ren Suo would not consider them, not to mention the collectible nature and resale potential of physical copies.
If he were to become rich in the future, Ren Suo would collect game discs as trophies of his glorious days;
If he were poor, then he would sell them away to recoup his losses. After all, these games cost him quite a fortune.
Because of these two reasons, Ren Suo chose to buy physical copies despite their long delivery time.
Without the games, Ren Suo had no choice but to leave the Hell4PRO in the garage and play "Hitman" on Mini Worlds.
He clicked on [Free Game of the Month]. The game description of "Hitman" introduced the game was an action RPG – an immersive assassination game. The gamer played the role of a modern hitman who had the skill "Bullet Time" and was a master of all weaponry and combat styles. He could even pick other assassin characters. It looked pretty impressive.
After selecting to download the game, a message popped out:
[Player has chosen a free chapter. The free chapter of this month is Hitman's "Bloodied Banquet". Difficulty of game: 1 star.]
[This free chapter has a difficulty rating of 1 star, hence the exclusive reward is canceled (exclusive rewards are awarded only to 2 stars or above).]
[The time left in this free chapter is 14 hours 23 minutes 51 seconds. This game will be deleted when the time is up.]
"What? I can only play one chapter in the free game, and I'm left with less than 15 hours?" Ren Suo complained. But having seen the likes of too many freebies in Xuan Nation, he wasn't too surprised.
Yet, the download speed of this game was crazy quick. In less than five seconds, Ren Suo received the message that the download was complete. That took away any hopes Ren Suo had about the game. Although the apartment boasted Xuan Telecom's 200M fibre optic cables, a game that could be downloaded via WIFI in less than 5 seconds couldn't have been more than 100M in size.
Even if it was just a single chapter, the music, software, images…etc. had to be downloaded still. Such a small game was either cut to its bare bones or tiny in scale to begin with. Although size didn't equate to a game's quality, it limited how impressive a game could be.
"Looks like it's just a mini game… Wait?"
Ren Suo suddenly realized that he had not connected the Mini Worlds Gaming Console to the apartment WIFI.
But this Mini Worlds Gaming Console was omnipotent the moment it appeared. It could connect to Hell4PRO's game controller and the DaMi TV. It wasn't too much of a stretch for it to be able to connect to the apartment's WIFI automatically.
However, the moment he entered the game, Ren Suo's slain expectations revived immediately!
On the screen, rain drops fell off the roofs of the buildings on either side. Pitter patter, they hit the murky alley floor. In the distance, the lights on the skyscrapers and the streetlamp outside the alley became the only source of light in the alley.
And in that dark abysmal alley, a figure shrouded under a black umbrella stepped leisurely through puddles of water till he occupied the center of the screen. He was dressed in a suit, his bearing straight, like an aristocrat in the rainy night.
Just then, the camera zoomed in under the umbrella, giving the player a clear view of this man's face-
[Please configure the hitman's appearance.]
"What the-? This isn't CG, it's the actual graphics in the game?" Ren Suo was stunned. Even now, the rain-soaked alley was visible behind the character. The play of light, the rain drops, the buildings, the details, the ambience, the character… they were unmatched even by that so-called highest-performance game "Log Horizon"!
"No way this is a mini game. This is definitely a triple-A heavy-hitter!" Ren Suo's interest was piqued. He noticed that the character in the game was automatically set as a fearsome looking bald man. After he selected to change his appearance, a series of face-changing options popped out, intimidating Ren Suo.
Although he liked to control cool-looking characters, Ren Suo was really not that interested in changing their appearance, especially when appearance attributes are so finely calibrated now that a single facial adjustment involved changing a dozen of digits. As a terminal patient of laziness, Ren Suo wasn't going to waste his time on this.
Typically, one who liked good-looking characters but didn't want to waste time like Ren Suo would simply search for other players' records, copy their facial attributes and paste it into his game to make a character he liked. At most he'd adjust the pupil colour, hair style and hair colour. And voila – that'd be Ren Suo's character!
But when Ren Suo searched "Hitman" online, while he did find other games with the same theme and title, none of them had graphics like Ren Suo's version. And none of them allowed the player to change the character's face. So Ren Suo's lazy tactic couldn't work.
Thankfully, in the menu there were options like [Recommend a face] and [Recommend a character].
In [Recommend a character], apart from the initial 'Bald Hitman', 'Clown Hitman', 'Demon-Hunter Hitman', there was also [For more characters, please purchase Characters DLC].
Ren Suo looked and realized that apart from the looks and voice, the choice of characters would affect their skill and abilities. For instance, the Bald Hitman's skill was [Bullet Time], which affected the speed of time;
Clown Hitman, who sported make-up on his face, had the skill [Shapeshifting], which needed 30 merit points to unlock;
the white-haired wrinkly-faced Demon-Hunter Hitman's skill was [Abyssal Wolf Sword Art], which needed 30 merit points to unlock.
Not only that, even their starting expertise were different. Bald Hitman's was [Combat Master] and [Weapon Master]. Clown Hitman's was [Weapon Novice] and [Throwing Expert]. Demon-Hunter Hitman's just [Grandmaster of Sword]. 
Among the three [Recommended Characters], only Bald Hitman was recommended for first-time players and free to use.
Till now, Ren Suo had not figured out how he could top-up credit in the game. Regardless, he was not going to burn cash on a game that would be deleted in 14 hours. So he picked Bald Hitman.
But of course, he wasn't going to use the default face settings. In the [Recommend a face] option, he picked a sharp-looking Xuannese face and added a teardrop shaped red mark on his forehead to make him look even more sick.
[Please name the hitman.] The message popped up after he confirmed the character.
Ren Suo just named him "Hitman". In the next instant, the image on the screen moved as his controller vibrated. The hitman smiled at him under the umbrella; he could now control this character.
Just then, a homeless drunkard appeared in front of the hitman. Stepping through murky puddles of water, he lifted his bottle like he was looking for a fight.
Through the process of subduing this drunkard and walking out of the alley, Ren Suo learnt the basics of the game. After knocking out the drunkard with his combat skills, the message popped out: [Find a way to enter the Lamperouge banquet on the 8thfloor of the Blackthorn Tower using a legitimate identity by 2000HRS.]
The camera moved upwards. In the screen, a bright majestic tower right in front of the alley rose up into the sky. A green inverted pyramid mark appeared above the tower. Looks like that's the target destination of the player.
Ren Suo controlled the hitman to walk out of the alley. Branded sportscars and lamborginis lined the road outside the tower. Ushers holding umbrellas came greeted and welcomed guests outside the tower.
He walked nearer to take a closer look. Those finely dressed social elites would produce an invitation before entering the tower. Only after the ushers had verified their invitations could they enter. Moreover, these ushers had impeccable service and manners; their eyes stayed on the guests all the way up till the point when they entered the elevator.
For example, Ren Suo saw a young gentleman who had parked a distance away and had filthy water splashed onto him. When he approached the building and flashed his invitation, the usher immediately said, "Mr. Ricard, we have spare suits and dryers up in the tower. Allow me to take you there."
"Thank you."
Truly, the usher's service was faultless. He led this young gentleman all the way to the elevator and told the usher inside the elevator about the gentleman's needs. Throughout the whole process, at least three ushers had their eyes on him. Looks like it was absolutely impossible to sneak in.
Ren Suo controlled the hitman and made him attempt to enter the tower. Naturally, he was stopped by an usher. The usher spoke a few lines of English and simultaneously, a dialogue box popped up beside his head, "Sir, please present your invitation."
At this moment, four options appeared at the bottom of the screen. Ren Suo could pick them using his direction pad, but he had only 10 seconds to do so, otherwise the first option would be picked for him by default.
①"I left my invitation at home."
②"I'm one of the people in charge of the company up above. I need to ride the elevator up to pick up a document."
③ (Attack him) "Since when do I take instructions from you?"
④ (Take out 5 pounds) "Cousin! It's been such a long time…"
Wow, he could pick a response? Ren Suo wasn't all too alien with this sort of gameplay. These options basically decided how the player would get past the obstacle. Based on Ren Suo's many years of watching gameplay videos, he believed that ① was pretty much a useless option;②was a tactic of talking his way through the obstacle;③ was surely charging through with brute force;④ was an option to bribe his way through. 
Tentatively, he picked the seemingly cost-free ② - "I'm one of the people in charge of the company up above. I need to ride the elevator up to pick up a document."
Usher: "Oh? Unfortunately, the tower's been closed since 1800HRS. Please come back tomorrow."
Ren Suo: "What gives you the right?"
Usher: "The fact that this tower belongs to the Lamperouge family."
Ren Suo: "..."
So his first attempt failed. Ren Suo decided to try again with the other options.
But this time, the usher frowned. "Why are you here again? Security, take this man next door so he can cool down."
Two nearly two-meter tall security personnel, dressed in blue uniforms, strode over and grasped the hitman, one on each side. Ren Suo assumed that the mission had failed. Soon, however, the hitman was taken to an alley.
"Don't start trouble, kid," the security guard patted the hitman's head, then turned around and started to leave. Subconsciouly, Ren Suo pressed a button on his controller and the hitman automatically seized the guard's neck and snapped it with a crack.
Ren Suo was momentarily stunned. But not the other guard. He immediately pressed something in his ear and shouted, "A hostile has appeared. Position – Palen Alley. Terry's been killed. Send reinforcements, send reinforcements!"
He pulled out his baton and pointed it at the hitman, retreating out of the alley slowly while he reported the hitman's deeds to his superiors.
Ren Suo watched as the security guard exited the alley. In the screen, the dead body of the guard began to glow a faint yellow. He made the hitman turn and examine the body. Three options appeared above the body: Search, Drag and Handle.
[Search] allowed him to strip the guard of his clothes and equipment and use them himself; 
[Drag] would mean to move the body; but when Ren Suo clicked [Handle], the game prompt appeared: [You do not have any tools to handle the body.]
Just then, a dozen men in black armed with guns appeared outside the alley and started shooting at the hitman. Blood burst out of the hitman and the game screen turned into black and white.
[You died.]


The extraordinaire has disrupted the silence of the world and ever since then, technology has taken a different path. 
When humans find a path for evolution in the dark, I’ll remove my ribs, burn my heart and burn the midnight oil to become their pioneer. 
This is the process of a gamer manipulating the world.

Shiella Springfield was looking at her little brothers, standing in front of her with pale faces.
Their mother's business trip had been canceled because of a sudden emergency at her company, so she thought of going home to give her little brothers a visit.
But the moment she entered the Villa and announced her arrival, she saw the two of them trying to hide from her as if they were running for their lives.
At first, she was going to forgive them but when she heard them say that they didn't want to see her, she changed her mind and planned to teach the two of them a lesson.
"Looks like the two of you are not happy to see me, huh?" said Shiella while smiling at them.
"Of course not! Big Sis we were just having a race. Whoever loses has to treat the winner to a meal later", said Arthur in one breath, as if he already practiced it for a thousand times, while looking at Shin with a 'Help me brother' look on his face.
But before Shin could say anything, Shiella replied, "But that is not what I heard earlier."
The moment Shin heard that, he look at Arthur with an 'I'm sorry brother face' before saying to Shiella, "Actually Big Sis, I happened to learn a new dish yesterday, let me prepare it for you". And after that he hurriedly turned around and ran to the kitchen without looking back.
Arthur wanted to go after him but before he could even turn his body around, he felt a hand grab the back of his neck and drag him to the center of the garden. All that he could do was to shout a word followed by his cries of agony.
"TRAITOR!!!!!"
"Sis wait! AH! Let me explain! UGH!"
"It is Ugh! not Pa!"
He didn't even manage to finish a sentence before accepting his fate.
Shin was already outside the corridor when he heard Arthur's cries, he then muttered to himself "I'm very sorry Brother, I will make sure that your sacrifice is not in vain. And I will also pray for your soul".

While Shin was preparing a meal for three, the door of the kitchen suddenly opened, followed by Arthur's entrance with a swollen face and bruises on his forehead and other parts of his body, even his clothes were in rags.
When Shin saw him, he almost burst out laughing and asked. "Still alive?"
Arthur threw him a vicious glare before saying, "D*mn you! I thought we were brothers? Why the hell did you abandon me there?"
Shin rolled his eyes at him before saying, "Isn't it obvious? I don't want to get beaten up like you!" 
Then he continued preparing food while saying. "After all we can't beat her even if the two of us combined forces".
He couldn't help reminiscing about the time three years ago, when both of them had been sparring beside the lake when they accidentally destroyed the sand castle that she was building.
Then what happened next was an unforgettable disaster. Both of them were razed to the ground completely. Even when the two of them ganged up on her, they couldn't even manage to land a single hit on her body.
Every time Shin remembered what happened at that time, his whole body shivered. And starting that day he promised to himself that he would never provoke his Big Sister ever again.
But life is so cruel, starting at that time they become personal slaves of their Big Sister.
"Actually I still can't understand why the hell she is so strong even though she always skips training." complained Arthur while planning to take a bite of the food that Shin was preparing.
Shin smacked Arthur's hand that was trying to reach the food and said, "Well I also don't know. And are you sure that Big Sis always skips her training?"
"I actually agree with Grandpa when he says that 'Don't be scared of someone that is more talented than you. You should be scared of someone that is more talented than you and more hardworking than you." 
Shin paused to add the finishing touches to their meal before continuing. "So I believe that Big Sis is always training secretly, since it is impossible for her to defeat both of us if she didn't."
"Bah! Acting a smart-ass again? Do you think you are the only one that sees that?" Arthur rolled his eyes at Shin before helping him put the prepared foods on the tray.
Suddenly, he remembered something and asked Shin. "Oh! That's right you need to repay me for betraying me earlier."
Shin looked at him skeptically, "Is this food not enough for repayment?"
"Come on! You prepared this food for Sis and made some extra because the leftovers would be wasted if you didn't". Arthur rolled his eyes at him as if he was looking at some idiot.
"If you are going to invite me to play that game then you are just wasting your time. OK?" said Shin before Arthur could even suggest what he wanted.
"Come on Bro, that game is not just your typical 'VR(Virtual Reality) online game'. It is the new battlefront of the world."
"Since it is impossible for 'Real World' to go to war, some organizations dragged it into the game".
"There have been a lot of influential groups invested in games since Forty years ago. That is the reason why the gaming industry has become a huge hit now."

All that the developers can do is make a design of their storyline and upload it to the AI and then AI is the one that will conduct it in the game. They can also monitor the AI from time to time so that they can find out if there are some malfunctions in it".
When Arthur saw that Shin was starting to get interested, he struck while the iron was hot. "And what's more, the conversion ratio from In Game Gold to Federal Coins is 1:100"
The moment Shin heard about the money, his eyes turned fierce and sharp as if he made a decision. 'Now I know where the hell you get your extra allowances'.

Shin followed Arthur's suggestion to buy a 'Platinum VR Helmet' released by the Gaming Company and go to the famous Gaming shop in Central City, while recalling the other details that Arthur had told him.
"The Game is already done with the initial phase since it has already been out for three months. So you should buy the Gaming Helmet released by them since it gives the new players a free *'EXP' boost for a week. You should use that time to lessen the gap between the mainstream players, I can even help you if you want."
"Then after that let's go buy together The 'Diamond Gaming Capsule' that is going to be released two weeks later."
"And you're a studious type right? So I will not go into the other details about the game, you should go and look at it on your own."
Shin released a sigh while driving his *'Black Panther'. Most of the people walking in the street turned their heads every time Shin passed them, especially teenage boys like him.
Few moments later, Shin parked the car in the parking lot in front of a gaming shop. When Shin got out of the car and looked at the shop, he was startled by what he saw.
There were a lot of people going in and out of the building, they varied from different genders and ages.
Shin walked towards the building. It was a five storey building, in front of it was the sign of the shop 'All Gamers Shop' and beside it was the logo of the 'World Gaming Org.'
As he got nearer to the building, he saw the posters of different kinds of characters in the wall of the shop. They varied from different races and classes from the game.

«Destiny's Fate» world was called Atlas and it was divided into different kinds of Empires and Kingdoms. Each one had different kinds of races inhabiting it. And each race had different kinds of classes that were unique to them.
Each race had subraces within them and each of them had their own racial traits. The main races were Elves, Beastmans, Undeads, Nagas and Human race.
Elves were the children of nature, they were very agile and close to different kinds of elements.
Their subraces were Dark Elves, White Elves and Blood Elves.
The available classes of this race were Archer, Twilight(Elven Thief), Elementalist and Druid.
Next was Beastman race, they were the kings of the jungle and the hunters of the forest. They had a powerful physical strength and sharp senses.
Their subraces were Tigerkin, WolfKin, Lionkin and Foxkin(Only available to girls)
And their racial classes were Berserker, Shamans, Tamer and Hunters(Bestial Thieves).
Next were Undeads. They were the predators of the living and the eyes of the dark. They had unlimited stamina and were immune to hunger and fear. They were a very strong race but they also had many fatal weaknesses: they were vulnerable to Fire, Lightning and Holy magics.
Their subraces were Skeleton, Zombies, Specter and Fallen.
Their racial classes were Skeleton Warrior, Assassin, Necromancer, and Sorcerer
The Nagas, also known as 'Fishmen', were the creatures of the sea. They looked like humans with fish scales. They were unrivaled in water and had very strong magic.
Their racial classes were Oracle, Spell Caster and Aquamancer.
The last race was Human. They were the weakest race but had the highest potential. They started weak but were capable of growth, they were also flexible and could wield different kinds of weapons.
They had a lot of classes that were available to them. They were Musketeer, Knight, Priest, Swordsman, Summoner, and Magician.
There were also hidden races and hidden classes that were waiting to be discovered.

"Quite complicated Huh?" said Shin while reading a booklet with a title of 'Introduction to «Destiny's Fate».
He had been standing for almost two hours since he entered the 'All Gamers Shop'. He was waiting for his turn patiently, the queue fully occupied the whole corridor of the first floor of the building.
When Shin got to the front of the counter, the receptionist sitting opposite to him looked at his face with great concentration.
Shin frowned because he was too tired to entertain her, so he gave her his order, "I want to buy a platinum helmet."
The lady receptionist snapped out of her daze when she heard Shin. "Ah! A ready-made or a personalized one, Sir?"
"What is the difference?" asked Shin since he didn't know that there were choices, let alone their differences.
"The ready-made one can be used out-of-the-box, but it only has a 95% realization rate since it can't be synchronized with your mind properly. While a personalized one is made just for you and has a 99% realization rate, it can even synchronize with your mind perfectly." said the receptionist smilingly while throwing him a flirtatious look.
'Perfectly? Then where is the 1% that is missing?' said Shin skeptically in his heart before saying "OK, I want a personalized one. How much is it?"
"Two Million Federal Coins, sir. That includes all of the other services, sir." said the receptionist.
Shin froze when he heard the price and asked for confirmation "Ahm.... Can you repeat it? I don't think I heard it clearly."
"Two Million Federal Coins, Sir." repeated the receptionist.
'That is half of my entire savings.' muttered Shin in his heart. "OK, I want a personalized one." said Shin heavily, while lifting his arm with the '*Advanced Watch' for it to be scanned by the receptionist.
"Noted Sir. All you have to do now is to fill up these forms and wait for your turn for the necessary procedures." said the receptionist while pointing at the hall where other people were waiting for their turn.
The moment Shin saw where the receptionist was pointing, his mind went blank and his brain almost stopped functioning. Because what he saw was a queue three times longer than the queue earlier.
'Do all these people have extra money to spend for them to buy a two million VR Helmet? Or did some of them robbed a bank?' questioned Shin in his heart, being confused about where so many people got their money.
What Shin didn't know was that some of these people were elite «Destiny's Fate» players that managed to earn enough money to change their old helmets, while some were from some wealthy family and others were new recruits from some powerful guilds. So it was natural for there to be this kind queue.

" What is your academic capability?" she asks impatiently

" I.. I hav... I have finished highschool" said Jian Shen cautiously

"Sorry sir, but our company only accepts college graduates" she said angrily

"Thank You Sir, you may leave now, Next!!!" she added

Jian Shen stands up and lives the office.

While walking in the street Jian Shen sees a television ad in the gaming store about the new VR game "Masters of Magic"

"For the first game we have made, our  association the Infinity Company will provide the first 10,000 players who bought the gaming helmet a gift" said the spokeperson

Jian Shen thinking about the game walks in the gaming store and asks about the gaming helmet.

"Miss, how much is the gaming helmet" said Jian Shen

"Sir the normal cost of the gaming helmet is $10,000 dollars" explains the saleslady

"But since the game is new the Infinity Company has given away 10,000 pieces of gaming helmet and our store has obtained 10 gaming helmet, so sir  you are in luck for this is the last piece of gaming helmet given for free" she added

"Thank You Very Much!" said Jian Shen excitedly

"Have a good time playing the game sir" she says happily

He leaves the shop and went back to his apartment and tries the game.

Fang Zhao had actually used a dog on him.
Fang Sheng was so mad he wanted to smash his bracelet, but luckily, he held back. He had just been fired. He wouldn't be receiving any income for some time. His severance pay was still being processed—it hadn't been wired to him yet. There wasn't much left of his cut from the revenue from song downloads during the new talent contest after he had bought his new apartment. The bracelet had cost him tens of thousands of dollars. He couldn't afford to trash it now.
Fang Sheng wanted to vent his anger from losing his job. He didn't dare take aim at the folks at Neon Culture. All he could settle for now was Fang Zhao, the person who had "set him up." Little did he expect Fang Zhao to not answer altogether and put his dog on instead. Was Fang Zhao mocking him?
Knowing full well that his tirade would only be answered with dog barks, Fang Sheng took a few deep breaths and hung up. He was going to bottle up his frustration and take off, but after taking two steps, he stopped suddenly to look at his bracelet.
He was so angry he had let his guard down. He reviewed what he had just said. He didn't think he had confessed to stealing the songs outright, so even if Fang Zhao had recorded the conversation, it wouldn't amount to much proof. He wouldn't lose in a court of law.
Good thing he had restrained himself. If he was thrown off by a few dog barks and confessed to stealing the songs, then it would all be over.
So that was what Fang Zhao was up to?
"You wanted to set me up again!"
Fang Sheng stared at the end of the road, eyes burning.
Fang Sheng was being paranoid. Fang Zhao knew that he wouldn't fess up to stealing the songs that easily. Here was someone savvy enough to steal the three songs without the original host of his body noticing and without leaving a trace of evidence. He wouldn't be easily duped into a confession.
There were always people who felt that they were entitled to your generosity. Even if there was a falling out and they were clearly in the wrong, they wouldn't own up to their mistakes. They would even play the victim.
Personal interest and temptation distorted the human heart.
Fang Zhao had seen so many examples and heard of so many during the end of days. Fang Sheng acted purely out of self-interest. If it were the end of days, Fang Zhao would have delivered a bullet to his head, but the rule of law prevailed in the New Era. Fang Zhao didn't want to run afoul of the law on account of Fang Sheng and squander the rare opportunity of a rebirth.
"Good job." Fang Zhao picked up his bracelet and fondled Curly Hair's head. He grabbed a handful of dog food and placed it on the dog's plate.
Fang Zhao returned to the lobby of the 50th floor after making sure the technicians had installed the gaming equipment properly.
The department was on vacation, so no one else was in the lobby. Zeng Huang and Wan Yue were spending time as a couple. They wouldn't be showing up during the vacation. Pang Pusong was traveling with his family. Song Miao was gone too. The only people left were Zu Wen and company. They gathered in their studio to game every day. If all you were doing is gaming, then you might as well live out of the office. You wouldn't have to worry about the utilities bill, and the cafeteria food wasn't that bad. It was also quite cheap.
When Fang Zhao approached, Zu Wen's group had just wrapped up a gaming session and they were deep in discussion.
Neon Culture had reached out to Zu Wen and company as well, but not through an agent. A few of their technicians knew Zu Wen and his team and put out feelers, but the Silver Wing crew rejected the overtures.
Their reasoning?
Setting aside the tremendous potential of the Polar Light project, they had landed the unlikely boss who was addicted to gaming. It didn't make sense to give that up. For folks like them, as long as they weren't in a pinch, bonus size was secondary. The key issue was whether they could partake in their preferred form of entertainment during office hours.
Why had Zu Wen stayed when the entire virtual projects department was purged last year? It wasn't that he was lazy. He was lured by the prospect of gaming all day if the department no longer received any assignments.
The group stopped talking when Fang Zhao entered the room.
"I'm going to head home for a bit. Are you guys going to stick around?" Fang Zhao asked.
"Yup. But we're going to head out later in the day to check out a gaming trade show. Will you be using the flying car, boss?" Zu Wen asked.
The department had two flying cars. Zeng Huang and Wan Yue had taken one of them and one was left.
Zu Wen and company leered at him, which gave Fang Zhao a kick. "No. I'll take public transportation. Knock yourselves out."
"Thanks, Boss!" Zu Wen hooted.
"We'll bring back some samples for you," the others said.
Fang Zhao left the office after reminding Zu Wen and company to lock the door to the 50th floor before heading out for the trade show. He didn't bring Curly Hair. All he had to do was pick up a few things from his black street apartment. He would be back first thing in the morning.
He could already afford a place in downtown Qi'an. Barring massive, extravagant properties, he could pay in cash.
But it was hard to find quality real estate in Qi'an these days. And folks who owned prime properties were reluctant to part with them. Fang Zhao hadn't been looking online because Duan Qianji had promised to introduce him to a homeowner looking to sell, a veteran composer. The composer rarely lived in his home but didn't want to sell it to a stranger either. Duan Qianji knew that Fang Zhao was in the market, so she had approached the elderly composer. But the owner wasn't in Yanzhou. He would return in a few days to handle the paperwork and meet Fang Zhao at the same time. It was only a matter of days. Fang Zhao could wait.
Evenings on black streets were still the same. Loud dance music mixed with laid-back tunes. Drunks shot the breeze in clusters. Young punks new to the life were plying their trade.
Fang Zhao bought two boxes of barbecued meat for Yue Qing, who ran the shop downstairs from his apartment, and the drug store owner, Ai Wan.
"Thanks. Not much to report. A few days ago a drunk wanted to toss a bottle at your window. I got rid of him," Yue Qing said as he took the boxes. He grabbed a piece of meat and started chewing away. "Are you moving?" he asked.
Yue Qing didn't know how the entertainment industry operated, but he had watched the music videos for the two movements. And he knew from news reports that the two songs were a big hit. Regardless of whether or not Fang Zhao was the actual composer of the two movements, judging from his official credit, he stood to benefit in a major way. It was time for him leave.
"Soon, but I'm not going to give up my apartment in the coming weeks," Fang Zhao said.
"Please make sure you give me a heads up when you move out so I can buy your apartment," Yue Qing blurted. He had been eyeing the flat above his shop for some time. Tenant records were kept electronically. Once Fang Zhao gave up his flat, it would be up for grabs. If another tenant moved in, Yue Qing wouldn't be able to buy it.
"Planning an expansion?" Fang Zhao asked.
"It's about time. I've also been in touch with the tenants on the two floors above yours. I should be able to buy those flats next year. I've been laying the groundwork for some time, haha." Now that he had saved enough, Yue Qing could proceed with his shop expansion. Naturally, he was in a good mood. Of course, folks like him couldn't compare to Fang Zhao, who could earn more than 1 million on one song alone. But average folks had their own way of life. Yue Qing was quite happy with his life right now.
"Got it. I'll give you a heads up before I give up the flat."
Yue Qing's shop was swarmed with customers, so Fang Zhao got out of the way. He left the shop and headed up the staircase.
But once he got to his apartment, Fang Zhao could tell that something was wrong.
When he lifted his head, he saw someone standing in front of his flat. Another approached from behind on the staircase. The sandwich approach signaled premeditation and professionals.
The staircase was dimly lit. To cut costs, public areas like this either had faulty lighting or were dimly lit.
Fang Zhao didn't look back and continued walking until he was two steps away from the man standing in front of his apartment.
He looked perhaps a few years older than Fang Zhao. He had a crew cut except for a crown-shaped hairdo in the middle, which was dyed half red and half blue. His right cheek sported a tattoo of a snarling beast.
Fang Zhao remembered Yue Qing mentioning once that black street thugs with a beast tattoo on their right cheek were typically hired guns and not young punks who engaged in random petty crime.
In other words, someone had paid them to show up.
When the man scanned Fang Zhao's bracelet, Fang Zhao had a hunch who their employer was.
"Fang Zhao?" The man standing in front of the door gauged Fang Zhao like a quality control inspector. His teeth were dyed neon green. The beast tattoo on his cheek became even snarlier.
A fellow resident on the second floor was about to head downstairs. He turned around immediately after noticing the impending conflict, too terrified to even fart.
Zap.
The man standing in front of Fang Zhao's door was holding an electric rod that emitted a live current. The sound echoed clearly in the corridor. He took a step toward Fang Zhao and said, "Don't be afraid. Just hand over your bracelet and we'll be outta here in no time. There's no point in blocking traffic."
But before he could finish, Fang Zhao had pulled a gun and trained it on him.
Fang Zhao could hear the trailing footsteps cease. He flashed a warm smile and told the man in front of him:
"Don't be afraid. You've made a long trip, so why don't you step inside for a chat. There's no point in blocking traffic."

Today's a Good day for Dennis he prepared himself to go straight to the building now renovated to be an Internet Cafe, he bid Goodbye to his daughter-in-laws and Wife.

He's currently riding his Motorcycle going towards the Internet shop the building has 2 floors and looks extravagant for an Internet shop, it has a bar section where it can be used at night. Well you ask why's that? Well you see........

2 days ago after John gave the money to him , he immediately bath and prepared himself he saw his daughter-in-laws he still couldn't believe that his son is powerful now and he is like those protagonists of the novels he read and at the same time they became rich enough to spend the rest of their lives at home, but they knew it's wrong so they want to open a business. While riding his Motorcycle and asked around or looking around for a building for sale after some time he still couldn't find anything, he got hungry so he went to Jollibee he  ordered and ate while thinking about how to find a building for sale it struck him why didn't he thought about that earlier he quickly finished his meal and rode again his Motorcycle he got to the bank with bag on his back where he put all the money his son gave him he walk inside the bank directly to the bank teller.

"Sir how may I help you?" asked the lady "Well you see I want to deposit a large amount of money." he answered, "Well it's just simple sir it's still like your depositing as usual just put the amount and the money here to be checked up and we will do the rest." He filled up the form and put the bag for checking up the amount when all of that is done he walked out of the bank and rode again his Motorcycle. This time the place he's going to is the estate agency, He parked his Motorcycle and got inside and looked for the staff. After a while a man came to him "Sir how can I help you?" he replied " Well you see I'm looking for a 2 floored building, is there still available?", "Well sir your lucky today because there's 1 more building that is for sale and we had 30% discount for the building", "I'll take it so how much?" he asked, the Man replied "Well sir the original price is PHP 10,000,000 but with the discount it lowered to PHP 7,000,000, just wait here sir I'll get the fill up form and the documents are you gonna pay full sir or monthly?" "I'm gonna pay full with credit card" the man just smiled and get the documents, after that the transaction is over. 

The next places he went to are the Internet service office he applied for the plan 9999 where it has 2 TB everyday and 100mbps fast the other is a certain computer maintenance office they had a contract that every month he pays PHP 5,000 for maintenance it's quite cheap so he agreed, with all of that done the only things he needs to do is to go to the building, the look of the building doesn't matter anymore because he is exhausted, he went on his way towards the building he bought and got dumbfounded it's great and the location is the best with all of that he went inside, it's clean for a building that hadn't been used for a long time and it is wide as well as the second floor the only things missing is aircondition and the computers. and again he went out and go towards an airconditioning shop, he bought about 10 AC's totally costing PHP 750,000 and a delivery fee of PHP 5,000 to be delivered tomorrow.

The only thing missing is the computers but it's already 5:30 in the afternoon so he got back home.

the next day he left the house early and go to the computer selling shop there he saw many varieties of computers, a man approached him and asked "How may I help you sir?" "Well you see I'm opening an Internet Cafe for gaming and stuffs and I roughly needed 250 units" he replied the man smiled and said "Well Sir we just got the thing you want follow me" the man walked towards a computer that is being displayed he saw a card that has the spec written on it.

"Well I'll just take this unit" he said "Well sir because you bought so many units we will give you a discount and the new price will PHP 88,580" Dennis just nodded and proceeded with the filling up, after that is done he asked the man "Uhmm do you guys offer labor service?" "Yes sir we can setup the PC's at the place and renovate it you just have to pay additional PHP 100,000" the man answered , Dennis just nodded and paid he wrote down the address, the man said that they will just do it and he can relax and so he got home and slept for the rest of the day.

His last thought before dying, fuck the world.  Bang! Bastion expected to die the second the bullet entered his head.  That didn't happen he felt the small caliber round moved through his brains destroying memories before his forehead exploded.  A chunk of skull cut off one of his optic nerves cutting his vision in half part of his skull went sailing before it hit a wall.  His body collapsed, and he saw one of the soldiers clean the blood off his shoes, with Bastion's hair.  Somehow his even through the ringing he heard one of the soldiers speak.  "Now that he's out of the way lets go to the next one.  Robert, stop playing with the man's scalp and keep up.  We have to execute at least 20 more before dark or we won't make our quota."  Then everything went dark.  
 Bastion opened his mouth and tried to gasp but fluids shot down his throat.  For a second, he flailed and kicked before realizing he wasn't drowning.  Wherever he was, there was loud steady beating and he felt at peace.  He was warm, despite the darkness there wasn't any danger, and he felt alright.

 "Who are you?"  Bastion asked. 
 "I'm Ouroboros and I'm now a part of you.  Would you like to view your status?  Most descendants choose to view the marvel of technology given by my creator your Ancestor."  Ouroboros said.  
 "Your name's too long I'm going to call you Snake for short.  But sure, show me what dying has gotten me."  Bastion grumbled.

To answer your other question, you must acquire bloodlines of races that naturally have the energy.  You can also use the system shop to purchase some bloodlines that your ancestor saved and techniques.  It is possible to do anything with my help."  Snake said arrogantly.  
 "It sounds like my ancestor was awesome.  Sure, wish I was born already.  Don't you want to get started with our grand adventure."  Bastion hoped the dumb snake would get the hint.  
 "I can read your mind Bastion and yes it would be great, but despite my power there are some things I can't do."  Snake said.  "Stop calling me Snake! Uh oh."  Bastion was flung back cushioned by his mother's body.  The comforting sound of her heart beating was no more.  Just as it couldn't get any worse Bastion felt cold steel rip into his new home and stab him in the stomach twist and pull away.

MC dies forced down to his knees and executed.  Reborn in the Naruto Verse with a system created by his ancestor.  He will die over and over again each time respawning in a different world keeping skills from each world.  

Short chapters but I will publish often 7 chapters a week.  Give me a week to build them up
