Unlike the average teenager, Alethia is a 19 year old girl who seemed to have no interpersonal associations and another world to her own. 

In the eyes of other human beings, she was silent. She often refused occassions that required her to socialise, and rarely shared her views and ideals with others explicitly, keeping most feelings and thoughts to herself. In fact, not many people would know her, or try to understand why she is the way that she is, unless they truly interacted with her. 

The only possible place she might be found would be in the attic of her uncle's cottage deeply embedded in the forest, and the only humans people would associate her with is her uncle (Atticus) and her rather clumsy yet much more popular female friend (Cressida). 

Alethia gradually came to understand how different human beings can be after years of observing and interacting. Under the guidance of Atticus and her life experiences, Alethia was actually not silent, but authentic, vividly imaginative, loyal, optimistic and slightly eccentric. 

It was a normal Saturday morning, with white canvases mildly tainted with specks of grey. After investing a lot of energy and time to explore the arts, Alethia decided to take a breather in the vast, tall and thick expanse of green nearby her uncle's house. It was a place where she could be herself, and at one with nature. 

However, things started to change when she chased after a fox and chanced upon someone rather visually appealing yet remarkably annoying. From then on, Alethia embarked on new adventures, discovered truths about her past life and crossed paths with enemies who are simply out to destroy everything she loved. 

Follow her footsteps to discover the true tale of optimistic yet eccentric Alethia!

Teng Man Rui visited the Chen dream house upon the invitation of the madame. She obliged, thinking that it would probably be for the last time.
"It seems that you've made up your mind." Xue Jinxu observed how steadfast her friend's resolution appeared. 
"Mhmm… Yes." Teng Man Rui answered, smiling sincerely.
After their long, painful misunderstanding, the two best friends Xue Jinxu and Teng Man Rui slowly mended their friendship. It required hard work, but the two were willing to undergo the necessary process.
No matter how awkward it was, they began alternately contributing to the emotional bank that their friendship needed for it to grow and flourish to its old glory.
Teng Man Rui started by sending baskets of freshly picked fruits to Xue Jinxu's house. At first, Xue Jinxu thought that Chen Linyun bought it, but the man denied it.
"No, I hadn't been to the market lately." The husband denied and refused to take on the credit that wasn't his.
Then, one time while he visited the pregnant twin, Xue Minhe mentioned in passing some suggestions for classes which soon-to-be parents could optimize. Some included labor rehearsals, and everything to know about pregnancy. Xue Minhe even came with a complete list.
The list made Xue Jinxu instantly suspicious. How would her twin brother know so much about it? 
"Did you research it all by yourself?" Xue Jinxu narrowed her eyes at her brother, a hint of a mischievous smirk was on her lips.
The twin brother, not wanting to lie to his only sister, reluctantly retorted, "Some months ago, my ex-wife and I prepared this list. I thought it would be more of a waste to keep it to myself and cling to it, or just throw it, when it can be beneficial to you."
"Ahhh… Great explanation, Ge-ge. I see." Eyebrows raised, she nodded, unconvinced. She laughed heartily after her statement.
Xue Jinxu did not lack on her end as well.
To prove that she's open for reconciliation, Xue Jinxu often sent text messages of good, inspiring quotes to Teng Man Rui. The lady thought that it was such a perfect idea to reconnect because sending those quotes would not require a response at all.
She continued to do it without expecting a response in return, but Teng Man Rui would almost always respond with a smiley or a simple thanks.
Those modest actions kept the ball rolling.
Until one day, Xue Jinxu stopped all the pretense and circuitous act. She straightforwardly invited her best friend to her house. With her personality, she would rather proactively confront her friend no matter what the consequences are. However, she had hoped for their encounter to turn out well.
Teng Man Rui obliged, "Okay, there's something I want to tell you as well. It would be better to meet up in person."
And so, they met. It was during the second week of September.
"Autumn is almost here." Xue Jinxu started tentatively.
The maids served some fruit juice and bread. The two friends started to warm up with each other. They exchanged some more small talks and pleasantries.
After all the trivialities, Teng Man Rui finally broke her news to her. "En. As the seasons change, I plan to start anew too."
"That's great, Xiao Rui." Xue Jinxu timidly agreed without pressing too much. However, her curiosity was beyond the roof.
"I've been undergoing therapy lately. You know… To… To cope up with the harrowing events that happened to me recently." She paused, took a breather, and smiled. The topic was all too sensitive for her. It took her to muster her courage to talk about it to anyone openly.
Then, she continued, "My therapist advised me to start afresh and try something new – something that is not part of my daily routine before."
"That's what exactly I would be doing. Actually, I'm excited about it! Hehehe." Her eyes formed small arches as her façade was engulfed with enthusiasm.
Teng Man Rui relayed some more of her optimistic plans to Xue Jinxu, the latter attentively listening and only butting in with 'Ahhh' and 'I see' and 'sounds good'.
During their conversation, Xue Jinxu had been feeling some sort of pain in her belly, but she shrugged it off thinking that it's tolerable and even short-lived. She kept silent about it with a plastered smile on her attentive-looking face so that it would not disrupt the jovial atmosphere they were enjoying.
As Teng Man Rui ended relaying her plans, the two best of friends talked about their childhood and the happy memories they spent during their teens.
They both sighed contentedly, both with the awareness that after a few years they would find themselves in a situation wherein they wouldn't be able to fathom how fate would play tricks on them. Their young selves would never have imagined – no matter how creative they were – all the possibilities of how real life has just unfolded for both of them.
Regardless of how painful their experiences were, here they were, still friends, enduring, emerging triumphant no matter what storm they had to go through. Their friendship is strong and resilient, too. 
True love proves to be everywhere, not just between family members but with friends, too. 
Perhaps, there would come a time in the future when they would be able to laugh off all their silliness and foolishness and all the painful memories of the present time, looking back.

Teng Man Rui eventually left. They bid their farewells, and a promise of a reunion in the future no one knows exactly when.
The lady exchanges their well-wishes for the lives they chose, and prayers for good health and prosperity.
As soon as Teng Man Rui left, the pain in Xue Jinxu's abdomen grew stronger. Her knees wobbled, and she proactively leaned on the doorway to support herself. She stayed there for a good while since she's not quite sure if she could reach the couch safely on her own.
Her forehead and back started to sweat profusely now. Grabbing the doorway's post tightly, she attempted to shout for help.
The maids heard her and went swiftly to her rescue. They supported her by the elbows and back and towed her slowly towards the couch.
She panted heavily as she requested for her mobile phone. The maids around her searched for it vigorously and passed it on to her as soon as they found it.
She was able to send two messages successfully before she passed out.

“I better go now. I’ll be fine on my own now.” She grinned again while fixing her hair, tucking it neatly under the cap and turning up the hood to cover half of her face. Her guise was complete. She knew that she would pass as a boy with her current look. So she uncaringly opened the door. With one last smile she thanked him again and left.
Just like that.
Chen Linyun’s peace and quiet has been perturbed.
‘Take responsibility, somehow.’ He said in his mind, to the girl who just left, eyes glimmering.
He gazed darkly at her fading silhouette but did not do anything anyway.

Chen Linyun had spend the night together in a dorm room with a drunken girl he had mistaken for a boy when he was still eighteen years old during his sophomore year in the university. Little did he know this short encounter will leave a mark in him, unable to let go of this woman who disappeared after that night. He was head-over-heels and had vowed to search for her in every part of the earth.

Five years later, they met again, but the woman he once knew wasn't the same as she was before. Just after a few years, she became a domineering leader of her own empire.

With his own charm, his adventure to chase the girl and convince her of his love starts in this story. 

It's a reverse role that the MC is a bit soft and domesticated but smart, while the FC is the strong-willed one - playful and teasing.

Chen Linyun stood up. “One more thing.” He grabbed her hand that was resting on the table. He gently guided it for her to stand up. She followed her lead and stood up, confused.
The next thing she knew, she was enveloped in his warm embrace. “I missed you.”
She blushed. She tried to push him away. 
His left hand was cradling the back of her head while his right hand secured her lower back. She was held tightly in his embrace.
“Just a little longer.”
She was helpless. “I’ll sue you for harassment.”
“You wouldn’t do that.” He finally released her and stared at her blushing face.
 “This time I won’t leave your side.”

Crystal stood still in one place. She had been thinking of the last mission even in her sleep. She had dreams about it and she tried to read books to try and forget about it.
Then it struck her. She called Leon up. It rung for some time but he didn't answer. Crystal tapped her foot on the ground out of nervousness.
Her phone rang.
"Hello?" said Crystal
"Yeah, Crystal what is it?" asked Leon
"How did your parents survive being erased?" said Crystal
"They performed many missions in a short time so that they powered up and fought the darkness. That's not an option for us because our time is running out." said Leon and sighed
Crystal was silent.
"Also, we know we're coming close to the end because all of us have completed at least one main mission. According to my ancestor's diaries, it says colour is the key to defeat the darkness. I wish I could research more on colour, but I'm colour blind." said Leon
"This isn't fair! The children have transformed a long time ago, so by the time they reach our age..." said Crystal
"By then, the darkness will be stronger." said Leon
"Where did it even come from?" asked Crystal
"From within ourselves." said Leon
After a long pause Crystal said, "I don't want to lose hope so easily! Alright then, bye."
And she cut him off.
Crystal felt like smashing her glass table top into pieces. She didn't want to feel angry or even sad, she just wanted to escape from this situation.
So she went to her bookshelf and began to read all the books she didn't finish.
By the time it was evening, she was still reading and didn't realize that her phone was on silent.
She finished the eleventh chapter of her third book, had her dinner and looked at her phone.
"Are you okay? You haven't been answering my calls :("

"Yeah I'm fine."

Then she saw that Harper and Yasmin left her messages too. Harper sent her three pictures of inspirational quotes that Crystal didn't read. Yasmin's messages were more about personal life issues.
Crystal put her phone on sound mode. 
The air felt stuffy and she couldn't breathe. There was no sound except the clock ticking in her bedroom. 
After fifteen minutes the phone began to beep.
"Hello?" said Leon
"Yeah?" said Crystal
"Did I upset you?"
"No... But I can feel the darkness approaching." said Crystal
"How?" said Leon
"From within me, of course... I miss the old, more optimistic Leon." said Crystal
"I understand. You're right. If the darkness is within us, we must not let it out without a fight." said Leon
"That's much better." said Crystal, showing a faint smile to herself in the mirror
She could smell the scent of fabric, which was difficult to sense unless a person was always surrounded by cloth.
"If you ever have any problem related to this, just let me know." said Leon
"You too, Leon. We aren't alone in this. So what are you doing?" said Crystal
"Reading about colour theory... You know, I really wonder what some of these colours look like." said Leon
"I can't imagine a world without colour, since I'm always working with it... But I suck at colouring." said Crystal
"But you're a fashion designer. I thought you had to sketch and stuff." said Leon
"Yeah but my colouring skills are bad, I don't understand where shadows fall and how to mix paints properly. I always ruin something with paint." said Crystal
"Its fine, we all have our weaknesses. Also, I think I've been concentrating too much on one part of the riddle. Most likely because it reminds me of my weakness. I'll spend more time with the riddle, alright? If anything happens, don't hesitate to tell us." said Leon
"Alright bye." said Crystal
They stopped the call. The contact picture flashed on the screen, and it went blank to save charge. Crystal looked at her red phone and kept it on the seat.
Crystal yawned and stretched her arms. 
"Tick, tick, tick."
It was her white wall clock with golden and pink intricate designs.
She thought she wanted to sleep. So she brushed her teeth.
But the melodies of horror plunged into her dreams. She saw a frightful man who was supposed to be a demon of some sort but had the face of an angel. He had black horns but had white wings. They were both standing at the edge of a cliff. It was dark, but the sun was about to rise. 
"Don't you wish to die?" he asked
"No, I just want to end my pain, not my life." said Crystal, shivering
"There's not much to life! Just painful reality. Come with me, we'll die together and go to hell, or perhaps even heaven! If you're lucky." he said
"Look, don't drag me into this." said Crystal
"I'll be lonely and everyone hates me." he said
"We all have to die eventually so I would rather not die now." said Crystal
He pushed her into a pit of bright light which burned her sight and soon she couldn't see anything. She cried in the dream and it turned into painful tears in reality.
When she woke up, she had chills and a fever. Crystal couldn't move.
She texted her parents and her friends. 
Her mother said her parents will book a flight as soon as possible.
On that day, the gang visited her.
Vanessa brought her a "Get Well Soon!" card, Yasmin brought a basket of fruit, and Harper brought her acoustic guitar and a card game.
Leon gave her a black and green book. It was called, "Defeating the Devil". 
"I don't know your taste in books, but I figured you'd like this. Yasmin suggested a romantic comedy, would you have liked that better?" said Leon
"No..." whispered Crystal
She saw as Yasmin put her face in her palm.
"Well I'm glad then!" said Leon, grinning
"I was going to bring my electric guitar too but Yasmin stopped me, hehe." said Harper
Three of them played the card game "Rushing for Gold" as Harper played a soft tune on the guitar and sang a lullaby.
Yasmin was also peeling an orange for Crystal as she played. Crystal was eating fruit as she read the book. The book was written in some archaic version of English, so it took her a while to grasp every paragraph.
She soon fell asleep. She felt someone put a blanket over her and put a stuffed animal beside her, and it went dark, which meant they turned off the lights.

Saturday morning, the country was in an uproar when Phoenix Foundation revealed the amount of money they have raised, especially about one particular generous person - President Angelo Tan of Tan Corporation. 

Somewhere on the suburbs, on a particular quaint house...

"Oh my, have you seen about the news?" A teenage girl is seen having a group chat through Chappy - a messaging app.

"Yes! Can you believe the amount of money rich people just don't give a care about? The gap between us common people are too wide." 

"IKR! When are we gonna reach their level."

"I wish I was born rich."

"Speaking of rich, that President Tan is filthy rich. How can he so casually, just basically give $100 million!?"

"Well, it is his money, so he can do whatever he wants with it. Besides, think about the kids that benefitted from it all."

"Since he is that rich, maybe he could shower his money upon us poor plebs."

"They said that he is still young and also handsome."

"I think I'm in love."

"Tsk.. Just admit that you are in love with the money. Lol."

On the train, a man garbed in his construction attire is seen reading something on his phone.

"Wow, how many zeroes are in there?" The said man can't seem to wrap his head around it. Even if he work for his entire life, he wouldn't be able to save up even a tenth of that. How he envied the rich. 

Somewhere, on the rich part of the city...

"Mom, President Tan is so dreamy. Oh how I wish I would be able to get his attention."

"You need to work hard for that. If you succeed, you can live like a royalty for your whole life, and we as your family will benefit too. Right darling?"

"Yes. I will create some opportunity for you to make that happen."

"But dad, isn't there a rumour that.." A man in his twenties were interrupted by his mother.

"True or not, so what. As long as we can hold on tight on his legs, we will be able to live grandly."
  
Young or old, almost everyone who has an access to an internet was shocked at how much money someone can donate. Even rich people were amazed at the amount of money that was given just like that. If it were them, despite having money, they wouldn't have the courage to donate that much money, even if their prestige is on the line. Think about it, $100 million isn't cheap at all. 

The media was also in some kind of shock, although they have some gist about some details last night, it wasn't that clear because they weren't present in the actual gala. More than the shock factor, they felt some resentment to the foundation for not allowing them to cover the event. But what can they do, the foundation hated their guts. Despite this, they have their own ways to get some informations. They weren't called media/paparazzi for nothing.

The best that they could do, is to camp-out just outside the La Credenza hotel's premises, trying to at least get some scoop. They waited for the leaving guests, or staffs that was in the ball to get the nitty-gritty details, that is..if they could make them talk. Most of the guests have high status, so they weren't too optimistic in getting them to agree for an interview, but the staffs are different. They can bribe some, if not most. 

Some of the guests that are in the top hierarchy weren't too happy about being outshined by Angelo's generosity. But, it would be petty of them to say that Angelo didn't deserve all the attention. It is naturally given that whoever performed well is the the number one, but a big part of them wanted to be the the top dog, especially with their status. Who doesn't want to stay on top, no one. They have bigger pride than the common people are. 

In a front lake villa, the talk of the country groggily got out from his bed. He didn't sleep well due to what happened last night, coupled with him not being a morning person, his day started with him being in a bad mood. 

After his sweet fix, Angelo's bad mood slightly lightened up. As he was sipping his honey lemon tea, his eyesight noticed a new addition to his house. It was a bonsai that his mom decided to give to him because she said and he quotes, 'you needed life in your house.' 

Speaking of his mom, Angelo was puzzled about her odd behaviour last night.  Usually, she would come to him to nag or chat with him about anything, but last night, she was anything but that. His mom was quiet when he saw her and can't seem to make an eye contact with him, as if she was avoiding him for whatever reason. It aroused his curiosity but at the same, he kind of like the silence of not being nagged about dating.

Now that he thought about it, after that embarrassing incident at the men's lavatory, he was avoiding someone too. Angelo don't want to meet her again last night. Thankfully, he didn't see her again. Angelo knows that he couldn't avoid meeting Anne on Monday. He could only hope that she would somehow forget the embarrassing incidents with him. 

'A selective amnesia would be nice,' he thought to himself.

He wish. Life always finds time to screw you over. 

At the Tan's ancestral home, Clara Tan didn't sleep well. She couldn't wrap around her head about his son's 'sexuality'.  Last night, she felt like the whole world came crashing down on her so suddenly. 

As she kept pondering about her son's sexual orientation, she had this crucial realization that it wasn't that easy for a parent to be 100 percent supportive in whatever they child chooses to be identified with.

It is so easy to say that you would accept whatever your child's sexuality is, but the reality is far from that. It takes time to accept. It could be just weeks, months, or even years. Some might not even accept the change at all. 

As they were having breakfast, James noticed his wife's unusual behaviour.

"You seem bothered?" James closed the newspaper that he was reading and stared at his wife.

"You noticed?" Clara asked for the sake of asking. She knows that she couldn't hide anything to her husband.

"Mm." James nodded as he put down the newspaper that he was reading.

"Well, what do you think of our eldest son's sexuality?"

James who decided to sip his coffee that moment, almost spat it out. It was just that, out of nowhere, his wife decided to throw a curve ball at him. He stared at his wife's eyes, see if she was serious.

"Are you mute? I am asking you in a serious manner."

"Why are you suddenly asking me this?" 

"You haven't answered me yet."

"He is he."

"So you think he is straight?"

"It is what he said he is. Are you doubting him?"

"No! Of course not! I... I was just asking you because I have heard some convo that our son could possibly be.. you know.."

"Gay?"

"Yes! I mean.. they assume that he is gay, since he has never been involved romantically." She said, after plopping one sugar cube on her coffee. Then as if she remembered something, she blurted out her next statement with urgency. "With women of course!"

"You already know about that rumour for years." James continue to observe his wife.

"Uh.. well for some reason, it just bothered me." Clara stirred her coffee, avoiding eye contact with James.

"Don't doubt your son."

She suddenly lifted her bowed head to look at her husband. "I don't! Definitely not." 

"Something happened last night?"

"Nothing happened last night. Why do you ask?" After she said that, she bowed her head again and continue stirring her now lukewarm coffee.

"Oh."

"What oh? Can't you answer me normally like all human should be, when being asked?" 

"Why are you questioning his sexuality now? Usually you only teased your son, but now, you sound serious."

Clara took a deep breath, and looked dead straight to her husband's eyes. "Ok, I admit. I am seriously doubting our son's sexual orientation."

"What brought this?"

"Something did happen last night."

James just kept silent, waiting for his wife to get her thoughts together. It looks like she needed it.

"He.." She paused for a moment. "Someone saw our dear handsome son, doing what could possibly be assumed as 'scandalous' with some man in the men's lavatory." She fired in one go. Clara peeked at her husband's face, looking for some type of a reaction, but she didn't see anything.

What she didn't know is that, James was stunned. He didn't know how to react on what he have just  heard that his wife have just said. It was as if, he was frozen on the spot.

Silence ensued between the husband and wife. When all of a sudden, a boisterous voice broke the still atmosphere.

"Did someone died?"

“I don’t believe I have fallen in love with you at first sight. That is too unrealistic. But what I’m sure of is, you’ve captivated me on our very first meeting.”     
                                                                                                          I'm already turning 35 years old this year and still a bachelor since birth. Don't get me wrong, I stayed single, not because I'm gay, nor asexual, nor unattractive, it is just because I haven't found the one yet. I do get attracted with some ladies sometimes but not to the point where I feel like there's a connection - a spark, that can be fostered into something. 

A memorable moment where it can be a bridge between two people and be the start of something your life has been needing for - love.                                                               

“Mr. your fly is open.”                                                          

“Huh....??” Say what?! Can someone please wake me up now!

                                                                                I’m still a green author. There are so much things to learn, and so, I welcome any ‘constructive criticism’ to improve my writing. 

In case of spelling, I use American and British English alternatively. Which sometimes, I’m not even aware that I kept switching between the two. Some example would be, color to colour, favor to favour, pajama to pyjama, and so and so forth. I apologize if some of you gets confused with the spellings.

In terms of grammar, I can’t guarantee a perfect grammar. Mistakes happen and I will try to correct them as much as possible.

Adding this story in your reading list and commenting on it will really help me stay motivated in continuing to write. I would be really ecstatic if you will.

                                                                                       As of now, I make it a point to write at least 1000 words or more every chapter and upload at least 2x a week. I’m aware that I don’t upload as much as most authors here are. I could make up a lot of excuses but in all honesty... my excuse is that I’m living in the real world. That is what it is, plain & simple. I do hope you understand where I’m coming from. Unless, a certain condition is met. I’m not going to sugarcoat this...if in the future I can make money out of this, then it is a guarantee that I would do everything to upload a lot more, because who here doesn’t want money, right? \(>•

Hari-hari membosankan terus ada. "Huft" kata Roman yang duduk sambil menyantap makanan yang disajikan oleh restoran. Roman adalah pemuda yang ingin menjadi seorang ahli redstone. "kenapa hari-hariku membosankan ya?". Ucapnya lagi. Tak lama kemudian Roman membayar makanannya lalu pergi ke tempat kursus redstone.

Sementara itu, di tempat Azuya. "Arrgghh sakit lah kak" kata Azuya kepada kakaknya. "Ayo kamu pasti bisa Azuya..." ucap kakak Azuya. "Kakak jahat lah kok gitu sama Azuya" kata Azuya. "Dek dengerin kakak ya" pinta kakak Azuya. Azuya mendengar suara aneh. Ternyata, ada seseorang yang mengincar keberadaan Azuya dan kakaknya. Kakak Azuya menyuruh Azuya untuk pergi menjauh dari rumah. Azuya pun menuruti perintah kakaknya itu. 

"KEMBALIKAN TONGKATKU MONYET BODOH!!!" umpat seseorang yang berada di bawah pohon. Blane... nama orang itu. Tongkat legendaris Blane. Blane terlahir menjadi orang yang sangat pintar dan tinggal di pohon. Blane juga memiliki tongkat legendaris yang sering diincar oleh orang-orang. Tongkat itu bisa membuat clone tubuh kita jika ujung tongkat berwarna ungu. "DASAR MONYET NAKAL YANG TAK BERGUNA!!!" umpatnya lagi. Dia sering bertengkar dengan monyet. Dan mereka semua tak ingin mengalah satu sama lain.

Tak kalah dengan itu, "ini sudah kah? Hmm kurang beberapa lagi sih bahannya" kata seorang pemuda yang tinggal sendirian. A year later.....

It's late December, I took 2 weeks off to visit Tiere at Jakarta, staying at her apartment. Tiere told me she loves her job and she made a lot of money. I'm so happy that I let her chase her dreams. And I, I finally got to work at my dream game company, was accepted right after a month dating Tiere. She's like a lucky charm to me.

The sun shining through the open curtain, I woke up before the alarm start beeping. I turned it off once it rang cause it's Sunday, I leaned forward looking at the peaceful looks of Tiere while she's sleeping, drooling on her pillow, greasy hair, and her messy waterproof makeup, did she forget to wash her face or? I use my thumb to wipe her eye –shadow but I didn't make it, for me she's always beautiful, my lips lifted upward I feel warm in my heart as it beats faster cause I realize how much I love her. Somehow it's so calming and my heart is melting. I leaned my head forward again, kiss her lips once and she pouted. "I want to sleeeppppp" she said, tossing her body to the other side. I laid back on the bed, hug her from behind. 

"Good morning, my dear" I whispered. I heard her sniffing smiles. Then my phone ruined my Sunday. 

drrrttt drrttt drrttt

I sit up to catch my phone, my mom's picture popped up. DAMN! SHE IS VIDEO CALLING ME RIGHT NOW? I LIED TO HER! But it's okay, I am 24 years old. BUT NO, JUST PRETEND I'M IN THE HOTEL.

I click the green button soon as my mom's face close up-ly appeared. I was kind of shock, my heart start pumping fast, throbbing behind my ribs, it's going to crack soon.

"Hii.. Mom" my jaw turns rigid. 

"Hey, so, you're at Jakarta?" my mom asked, still smiling.  

I nod my head, "Yes"

"Huh.. it's so hard to ask you to come to Miami, but when it is about Tiere, you arrived soon as she asked" 

I told my mom about Tiere and my mom was so happy about it. I don't know she used to ship me with Tiere since grade –school. I don't understand my mom sometimes. 

"Mom..." I rolled my eyes. 

"So where's she?"

"She is beside me..ups" I covered my mouth, DAMN! MY MOM PURPOSELY SHIFT MY CONCENTRATION.

Her smile disappeared, her face turned scary. THIS IS THE END OF MY LIFE!

"HAA!! YOU!!! Bastard! You slept with TIERE?? YOU DARE LIED TO ME?? YOU WANNA GET MARRIED SOON, HUH?" 

"Momm.. mom... listen" like usually....

Then, how about Caroline and the flowers?

Back to that time.

Once I've done my confessions towards Tiere, I walked back to my car light –heartedly. I feel happy and relieved at the same time.

It's Caroline. Oh, I really forgot about her! I was kinda shock.

"Caroline.. I'm so sorry to say this. But, I think I'd like to stay with Tiere cause I love her" I said as I scratched my forehead, I know I sound like a total jerk but this is for the best.

"What???" she moaned and hung up the phone, before I even explain. 

Then the florist got to call me. 

"Hello, Giany's florist here. Am I talking with Mr.Valerian?"
 "Hello, miss florist. The bouquet and the chocolate box, sorry.. my girlfriend just left the town, so I'm giving that package for you. Thankyou!"

It turned her speechless, maybe I sound pathetic but not too pathetic that makes her confused. Ah, not a big deal.

Sometimes he doesn't put any glasses while on date. Well, he is kind of good looking back in High School, just very thin so nobody noticed them, like he is nearly invisible. Ryan is from a very rich family too, but he is simple, so nobody has ever realized it. 

Tiere : a nerd girl who tends to be so active, and talkative. She has a dark past during her school time, students like to judge her, but since graduated from high school she did some improvements of her both appearance and her image that makes her prettier in the present time. But nah, in the past time, she is kind of retarded. Her family isn't that rich, but her mom's new husband and her dad's new wife are billionaires. But Tiere won't take a cent from them. She is tough. 

Caroline : she is one of the queen bees gang in their school. But she is the most normal among the others, I mean.. she is kinda study a lot rather than hanging out and shopping, even though she does a lot of shopping too. She is from a very rich family, that's why people like to cling into her. Nowadays people.

Calvin : Tiere's ex –boyfriend. Son of a famous cosmetic company. Calvin and Tiere were not in the same school. They met in the pub where Tiere worked at. That time, Calvin has a crush on her, and get to know her better. Tiere doesn't change because of Calvin, so don't get her wrong. She changed because she feel kinda ashamed of her past life during her school time.

Onzengvas… its lands, before the Age of Catastrophe shifted continents, before it reshaped the planet and before Luminous Church unified it in the name of The Almighty, were known as Africa and South and East Asia.

At the center of the south eastern lands of Onzengvas an enormous and marvelous, mountain like capital city was erected, named after the land itself, "Onzengvas city", and powered by a formation of twelve floating pagodas crafted from twelve third realm Pure Cores. It knew no walls, for it had no enemies, and stretched for tens of kilometers, for it was copious with devoted lives.

The buildings, from the outskirts to the center of the city, be they small or tall, homes for commoners, aristocrats or servants of the Lord, shone with the same pearly white glamor when the sun hit them.

The architecture of the city's streets was adorned by ascending columns of stairways, and more advanced technological means of elevation, from the lower class, to the higher ones, up to the summit of a sole, monumental structure, the Grand Abode.

The people, humans and beasts alike, walked day by day proudly on two, their hand or paws against the ground only in rituals, private or public, of worship. They dressed in clean clothes every morning and rinsed themselves every evening. The customary attire at the base of the city was a tad strict for women, included dresses, long skirts and robes, typically neat with one hue. Men could daily choose between suits, loose work clothes and robes, as well. At the higher levels of the city, the dress code was even harsher to servants of The Almighty. Women were obligated to wear robes, permitted to expose their faces and hands alone. Men had their own clerical clothing. Most prominent members of society, the aristocrats, secular tools of The Almighty, could dress however they want, most often than not flamboyantly.

Down the base of Onzengvas city, walking at a vendors' avenue, a young man, seemingly at his early thirties and dressed in a white cleric robe with golden ornaments and a young lass wearing a sliver robe with a metal plate across her small chest, were chatting with the latter emitting a radiant ambiance.

"Your Young Eminence, it's almost been a year yet many cultivators still arriving to our Luminous Church's main city. How wonderful is it? Even if they won't have a chance to enter to top hundred, I'm sure many of them will find redemption by the exposure to the teachings and values His Holiness his passes".

"Good Sister Iaura, forget it, how can I ever be angry at you?" His Young Eminence's hand quivered behind his back, restraining the urge to caress her head. "But you must understand, here is not the Holy Palace, nor your parents' home. Although this planet has some importance to His Holiness, the resources here are scarce and deficient. Zax entered Onzengvas city with no obstruction or someone asking for identifications. With the help of the Bone And Muscle Transformation he altered his body to be a head shorter, extremely muscular. Even his face he changed to look rougher with an added scar up and down it, which he will heal after the tryouts. Overall he looked like a barbaric youth with inimical disposition.

'Tomorrow the Elite Tryouts' finals will commence'. He read from signs hanging from building to building and posters in stores' windows.

It was also currently the talk of the city and numerous people were seen making their way to the Grand Abode for early seats.

Contemplating the show he will put up, a hideous smile stretched on Zax's face. He followed the mob up the stairways. The public carriers and elevators were pecked full and had long lines that were tedious to wait in.

Climbing the hundreds of stairs, moving between stairways, there was a stifle taste to the air.

'Non cultivators don't notice'. Zax retained an aloof expression as he paid attention to some of the notable experts around; as he was sure others were also keeping an eye on him. 'I wonder how many had come explicitly for the prizes and who among them belong to the other four powers?'

In this Elite Tryouts occasion, the other four powers dare to send the members under the third realm to participate precisely because the prizes. However, should one of their members reach the top ten and Luminous Church will have the credit of discovering as well as first recruiting him or her to their Elites, it would be a great loss of face. Therefore, the leaders of the other four powers had sent envoys to attend the tryouts, keep an eye on their members and retrieve them should Luminous Church will express interest. Naturally, any one of those members who will prove to him or her future prospects will not be neglected upon their return.

'Nineteen hundred and eighty'. Zax finished counting. It was not the undivided number of stairs from the base of the city to the Grand Abode, only of the stairways he chose to climb.

The Grand Abode had a zone entirely of its own at the summit of the city with a circumference of eight kilometers. If one will describe it in one word it would be "dreamy". At the highest point, which was not necessarily the most central, was the building itself where only Archbishop Silternjan could reside day and night. Encompassing were a nuns district and a clerics district as well as lavish gardens, a church and a huge square for congregation when the Archbishop himself expound on The Almighty.

For the Elite Tryouts the square was arranged as the arena and was provided with stages of tens of thousands seats.

Zax knew that people who came to view had to purchase day tickets at the base of the city for low and medium seats and at the aristocrats' upper parts of the city for high seats. The number of tickets sold was equal to the number of seats but only high seats were reserved for their tickets holders.

Just as he was about to enter the booths at the periphery of the square for late registration, which was available till the end of the finals, although participation was not promised, a large commotion erupted from the direction of the arena and seating stages.

"In the name of The Almighty I ask respected Archbishop Silternjan to forgive this one's insolence! My name is Denver Posniov of the Northern Icecaps! I came to challenge the strongest participants that appeared in the preliminaries, shatter his bones and surmount to the overall first place of the Elite Tryouts!"

A deep voice roared and immediately a hubbub ensued.

"The first late contenders appeared, and he dared to challenge Greimor from the get go!"

"Greimor? This Denver's facial features are so young, he probably want to challenge First age group's Neyrar, that boy the Golden Desert Fort sent openly".

"The age groups don't matter after the preliminaries, and both Greimor and Neyrar exhibited spectacular strength. Does it matter which one of them fights him?"

"My God! Look at him; he is nearly three meters tall! Is he a human or a beast?!"

"What was his tests score?!"

"Late contenders must be tested, but now is not the time, yet. Did he just enter the arena and except for everything to work as he wants?!"

Late experts among the crowd, such as Zax, frowned, displeased for being a step slower than Denver.

Non contenders gossiped and speculated.

The adults mutually agreed that arriving early for tomorrow seats was a splendid choice; they will get to see premature action without paying a dime!

The children were just as glad. Their little faces were brimming with anticipation. When their parents told them that The Almighty treat dearly good children who pray in his name, they were doubtful, but now they wholeheartedly believed them. The day after tomorrow, after the preliminaries' finals they came to watch, when they return to their schools they will be able to boast in front of their friends, tell stories on the Icecaps' Gigantor who wrecked the preliminaries.

The Elite Tryouts were advertised throughout the planet, but the prizes were not elaborated too much to the general public. For them it was a recurring Martial competition a person could only attend once in a life time, if they are lucky. Topping it with an advanced performance made it all the more awesome!

'Neyrar!' Zax's ears perked. 'He is also participating…' He smiled again that hideous grin.

Although he followed his Mor and joined Golden Desert Fort, for Zax those he encountered in New Earth, had a good impression on and are also in Ercas Mir were still his compatriots. It is not that they knew the background of the powers, so they cannot be blamed for taking the opportunity to join them.

'How domineering!' Zax admired. 'But another later contender got ahead of me…'

Of course a friend can't let his/her friend be in danger, that's why in order to be safe, she needs a friend or ally that can protect her school when she's not online due to school. Unexpectedly, Kierra is always chatting Rolden, that's what friends for, she fall but she's afraid because her mother won't let her and Rolden fall for Kierra also. Kierra chatted her true intentions of why she made friends with him, Rolden knew that. He chatted that he was used to it, because that's what others do but Kierra clear herself that she wasn't anymore, because Rolden is valuable now for her. She always worried when Rolden is sick, because he is alone for his parents died when he's a kid. They always chat, they chatted a lot of secrets to each other before they really fall. Kierra added Rolden as her friend on facebook, Rolden accepted it. They both don't want video chat but they have the picture of each other. They were being separated due to studying and work. Rolden is 25, he is working as a business manager in a drug store while Kierra is only 18, a senior high student. What a big age gap!!. And they were from different countries, due to Kierra's dreams and studying, because she wants to be a nurse, she left on the game and her friends their and she unfriended Rolden on Facebook, she doesn't want to break her mom's trust to her. Rolden is so sad, that's why he drink a lot on that night, then his car crashed. His memories were gone, only his friend their on his country was taking care of him.
8 years later.......
Kierra is now 26 while Rolden is 33. Kierra is now a nurse then Rolden came to her country to visit a friend there and to have a vacation.
