The reason I'm putting up this novel is so I can read it for personal use. I watched the State of Divinity (1996 TV series) and loved that show. I knew there was a Novel of it but never spent the time to look for it until now. Was reading it online but the chapters are SO LONG and I keep loosing track of where I left off so here I am. Reading it off Webnovel is much easier especially since it keeps track of where you left off. Unfortunately Webnovel has a 20k word / 100k character limit for each chapter so I had no choice but to chop up the chapters into parts.

The story is about friendship and love, deception and betrayal, ambition and lust for power. In the middle of it all is, Linghu Chong, an orphan who is the senior student of Yue Buqun, leader of Huashan Sect, and the protagonist of the story. The story deals with his journey and development as a swordsman and his witness to the various intrigues which take place in the martial world of the story.

I would first like to apologise for not updating daily anymore or on schedule due to personal circumstances. 

And I began this novel for fun and to develop my writing style. When writing this I was not in the best mental condition and also emotionally. 

All my writings including Hero or Villainess are novels that I pour out my emotions into as a coping mechanism. As time passed, I became more stable and better then now I decided to reach for my dreams and pursue being a professional writer. 

So in short, I decided to publish this novel in the future while also changing a lot of things but keeping a lot of things I planned intact. 

I will now focus on writing Hero Or Villainess more and writing Duchess Mira in hopes of someone to publish it someday. 

So I apologise for discontinuing the novel at such a vital part of it.

Honestly, making some hype was not a shameful matter, it was just getting some exposures.

This kind of exposure was cheap and very efficient. In the Earth, many celebrities, some writers, or people who had little fame would create many sensations online to increase their fame.

If there were some TV shows or movies that were coming out, all of their crews would actively make some postings or promoting it on forums, Weibo, and all online media that many people used.

In this age, even good stuff didn't necessarily be in good places. It needed more publications and advertising to ensure their success and profit.

Xia Ping was also someone who had experienced the world. In his past life, he had seen a lot of such things. If he wanted to become popular, half depended on quality, the other half depended on the management!

In short, this story was the best of its kinds, you were going to regret it if you didn't read it. It was such exaggerated flattery that even made Xia Ping blushed a little.

Bu this was only the start. Then he made several dummy accounts to respond to the post.

"Agree with you, although this novel not necessarily the best in the world, currently there is no better one. This is a masterpiece of the erotic novel, an anomaly from all those trash works. I am very optimistic it will be the most popular erotic novel this year. A master of the erotic novel has risen." A dummy account boasted.

"Bullshit, can't you die if you were no boasting so much? A master? Screw yourself! I have read this novel, it's the same with those trashes. Even primary school students can write a better novel!" A dummy account mocked the post before. After all, a sensation couldn't sing the same tune, otherwise, it was easy for people to turn suspicious. It should have both flattery and critics.

"The person above is right. When I see it, it turned out to be written by some dog from Yangzhou Region. What kind of work do you think that could be born from that underdeveloped area in Yanhuang Star? It was just a pile of rubbish. I tell you, people from Yangzhou Region have no culture at all, they were one hundred years behind my Jizhou Region." another dummy was very sinister, it provoked dissension of other regions.

Because of the unification, Yanhuang Star was divided into nine great regions. They were Jizhou Region, Weizhou Region, Qingzhou Region, Xuzhou Region, Yangzhou Region, Jingzhou Region, Yuzhou Region, Yizhou Region, and Yongzhou Region.

There were gaps between their developments, so many contradictions happening between regions. They disliked each other. Occasionally, there were several battles of words online between people of different regions. 

"Hey, you dog of Jizhou, don't think it was great to have many famous people came from your region. They are old men, while none of your younger ones could keep up. You have declined, only proud of your past glories. Just this novel alone can make bury you for one hundred years." a dummy countered, making him looked like someone from Yangzhou Region.

"Good! I have looked at those from Jizhou that were not pleasing to the eyes. That is just a place for retirement, what is so good about it!" an innocent bystander replied, "Of course, as a person from Qingzhou Region I am very fair speaking about this."

"The place for retirement your sister! Even a starving camel is still bigger than a horse! No matter the condition of my Jizhou, it was not comparable to your garbage region. You, Qingzhou Region's people are not a good bird, still acting like impartial people. Who knows how many scammers were arrested from your region!" a person from Jizhou was annoyed, and immediately fought back.

Because it was evening when people used the internet the most, this battle of words immediately became hot on the Sky Hawk Forum and making countless people spectated the battle.

In just one hour, the post had been read at least 3.6 million people and the replies reached almost nine hundred thousand, it was almost impossible to read them all together.

People from different regions crossed-words against each other. Some people even boasting they would pay some people to hit others. The situation escalated quickly.

The moderators from the Sky Hawk forum were alarmed and immediately came calming the situation.

Xia Ping was speechless seeing all of this. He had not expected these people were so stupid and easily provoked. The matters were out of his anticipation.

But, such advanced provoking skills from Earth suddenly used to noobs from Yanhuang Star and produced this kind of effect was completely understandable.

However, that didn't mean that he would stop. To publicize something, one needed countless people to participate. This was only the beginning while the end was still far.

Going to a few rather disreputable forums, he once again created several troll accounts and started posting. The first one read: [COMRADES, OUR LUCK HAS ARRIVED! It is the erotic web novel Teacher Bai Rong!]

"This web novel is too good! Before even if I used viagra, I still couldn't get it up, but after reading this web novel, I feel as if I'm invincible. This web novel is simply a divine medicine! Even better than viagra!" a troll account commented.

"Everybody, he's telling the truth. I also feel the same as him. Originally I also didn't believe it, but after my big brother introduced it to me and I started doubtfully reading it, I found that it worked. Even better than those medicines," another troll account echoed.

"I know right? Besides, using the money for treatment still costs money, but reading this web novel doesn't cost that much. So why not give it a try? Who knows, it just might work," a third troll account persuaded sinisterly.

"Really? It's that good? I'll also give it a try then."

"Thank you, brother. If it's as good as you say it is, then you'll have saved our life."

"Same! Ever since I got that problem, I'm looked at in scorn everywhere I go. By my superior, by my wife, even by those night dancers when I go out to party. It's utter hell! I feel as if I've got nothing left!"

A group of unknowing bystanders expressed their thanks.

Xia Ping's troll account immediately responded, "There's no need to be so polite. As a person, what I enjoy the most is helping others, so there's no there's need to thank me."

“Shameless Xia Ping, not only did you steal my martial arts manual and medicinal pills, you even took my fiancée! We’re not finished!”

You might notice that there is no update schedule listed for Volume 2 and no new chapters have been added. Well, there are two reasons for this:

1. I have noticed that a few illegal online novel websites have been re-posting my novel without my permission after I have started posting here on WEBNOVEL and it's a frustrating and infuriating situation for me because I have spent 6 YEARS working on this novel and to be ripped off like that without even a proper acknowledgement is not something I can endure. 

I know it's hard to stop these plagiarism/stealing thing but I do think WEBNOVEL has to make use of their significant legal resources more effectively and protect their authors. Thus, before they could do that, I will stop posting my novel on this website so my 6 years of work won't go into waste just like that.

I squeezed my eyes shut preventing myself from crying as I finish the last chapter of the novel. 
During our clearing operation in an abandoned building that terrorists used as a hiding place, I found a flash drive on top of a deteriorating side drawer. I took it hoping it would serve as evidence and will help the progress of the investigation. After the operation, I immediately  scanned the files. The usb plug was a little bit rusty but it was still readable. To my surprise, the flash drive contained only one file. I immediately contacted the computer forensics division to check if there were any encrypted files but they found nothing. The only file in the flash drive was a PDF named "The Sun's Empress". I opened it. And ended up reading the whole thing. 

The novel revolves around a noble named Adelia Pennington. A bright and young girl who captured the heart of the Sunnivan prince, Alaric Soliel. It's mostly about how Alaric became the King of the Sunnivan Empire and how Adelia helped him to be one. Alaric is the sun that will bring light on the Sunnivan Empire and Adelia is his empress, the mother of his empire. 

After reading, I immediately researched about the novel. 

"The Sun's Empress" was a popular romantic-fantasy novel online before. It basically came out of nowhere, rose to the top and sat on the top spot of every popular reading sites. It was an online sensation and got people from around the globe hook to the storyline. 

However it was never published into a book. Apparently, the author declined all publishing offers for reasons no one knows. Then, after finishing "The Sun's Empress", she never wrote another story and vanished into thin air. She left the readers wanting for more. They bombarded her social media accounts which she deactivated later on. There were no other ways to find her because aside from her gender, she didn't reveal anything about her. Then, years passed and her novel was completely forgotten. Various novels of the same genre arised and completely burying the novel who paved the way.

Most of the articles on the internet were dated back 6 years ago. And the sites where one can read the novels already stopped functioning or those that are still present deleted the novel so there's no way for people to read it. And I am a lucky individual who happened to find this flash drive containing the full novel. 

I sighed and removed my glasses. I don't know if I'm feeling sad because the novel won't get a sequel or because I can't extend my gratitude to the author for writing a masterpiece or because I found a novel instead of an evidence. But, whatever the reason, one thing I know is I was amazed by the story. 

Iclosed my laptop and went to bed after. 

But little did I know that one day I will die and I will be transmigrated into the novel. Into the body of the a supporting character named Henrietta Lovell.
