He sighed and walked back to the table where he saw the five families interacting and even laughing. 

Grandma Lu noticed Liam's situation and asked him, attracting the attention of the rest. 

"What is wrong my boy?"

Liam looked around and realized Jane, Rose and Chloe were still on stage discussing something. 

He sighed and looked at them, "Peter and I fell for Jane without knowing it."

"WHAT!" 

They all shouted in unison as mother Zhang started searching for Peter, "Where is my boy Liam?"

He pointed the direction Peter headed to and the woman was about to rush for her son but she turned and faced Liam before leaving, "These situations occur Liam, you are not to blame my boy. I am sure if my son chose to give up then you two are fated to be but I am warning you Liam, if you dare mistreat her, I am coming to take her as my daughter-in-law."

She carried the sassy attitude as she walked by, making the others laugh a little. 

From a far, The Chen couple watched as the families interacted happily.

"We could be part of them Mary, if only our son never messed up in the first place!" Father Chen spoke, trying to hide his anger but couldn't. 

 They were so jealous right now! Many people could be surrounding them asking for favours due to their relationship with the Lu's but no one did because they were no longer in laws!  Such a pity! 

The three girls finally joined their family members after their girl talk. 

Liam approached the girl and his arms reflexively snaked around her waist, pulling her in for a tight hug, shocking Jane. 

"Liam Yang! Let go off me! Everyone is watching idiot!" Jane whispered as she struggled to free herself. 

Since everyone was looking for an opportunity to interact with the top family, Liam's action didn't go unnoticed to everyone present, including the reporters, The  Wang family, Edward and his parents.

Everyone rounded their eyes in shock. So it is true! They are dating! 

Jane wanted to shush them up so bad but the man held her firmly, laying her head on his chest, giving her an opportunity to hear his heart beat.

As he was still hugging her, they heard a coquettish voice behind them. 

"Excuse me Mr Yang. My name is Nancy Wang, I am the operati..."

She did not finish her words when her parents chimmed in. 

"Sorry to disturb you CEO Yang but my daughter has something to say to you but first please accept this glass of wine as a toast."

Mr Wang looked at him as he bowed slightly, trying to show respect as he handed over the glass.

Liam looked at them with a boring expression,they really want to drug him so bad!

"I can see you are so bold that you can just approach me and expect me to pick a drink you have specifically chosen for me!"

His voice by now was ice cold, attracting all the people who wanted to see the person brave enough to provoke King Yama.

Jane was startled a little hearing his cold voice and could hear the vibrations clearly on his chest. This is the first time she was hearing this voice but she did not like the sound of it. She preferred the gentle Liam. The girl proceeded to do something she also did not expect from herself.

She slightly tapped his chest, successfully getting his attention. 

Liam's expression suddenly became gentle as looked at the woman in his arms. His little change did not go unnoticed once again and his mother was busy trying to hide her giggles.

Jane circled her arm at the back of his neck, bringing down his head to her level and whispered in his ears gently, 

"I don't like your voice right now, you scare me Liam."

She detached herself from the man and headed where her brother was. She sat down and the Ryan put his tuxedo coat over her shoulders.

Liam looked at his empty hands and then at the people who scared his baby away and his level of anger shot twice as it already was. 

Before he could say something, a sex tape started playing on each and every screen in the hall and Nancy smirked once she heard pants but her face immediately paled when the man in the tape shouted her name as he climaxed and at that particular moment, the camera clearly showed the woman's face, Nancy Wang! 
Nancy and her parents flinched when her mother slapped her. 
"You bitch! How dare you sleep with my husband, your own father?  Are you mad? "

The hall erupted with gasps as people carefully focused on the video only to realize that the man was Mr Wang! How could they? A daughter and a father!? 

Before Nancy could even react to her mother's slap, a conversation audio between Nancy and her parents played, eliminating the part where they talked about Chloe.

Holy heavens! How can people be this greedy and evil at the same time? 



"Brother Chen! Cousin slapped me!" Anna said as she tried squeezing her tears out. 
"JANE LU! What did I tell you about harming my fiancee?" 
An angry voice filled the venue attracting everyone's attention as Edward went forward to cover his fiancee.

"Just look at your fiancee, why would I slap her and commit animal abuse? I am also kind incase you never knew."
Jane replied them with a lazy smile on her lips as she checked out her well polished nails.


She is Jane Lu, The undisputed queen of the business world in Country X. No one can tell her anything in the business world except for one man who is on the same level as hers. 
Because she refused to give into her fiance's demands, he sought to cheat on her with her cousin. She promised to repay both of them for every single pain she felt.

Timothy and his three friends met at Gregg's house on 84th N Wallace Street. Gregg lives in a greenish-blue house. His neighborhood was not quite as dangerous as other blocks in his area were. When they arrived, Timothy ranged the doorbell. Then Gregg opened the door quickly entering his friends inside.
      "Glad y'all made it, " Gregg said greeting them inside.  
      Gregg directed them towards his room. His bed was a king-sized, and his covers had Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny's image design on it. His room was very spacey and extraordinary. In the center of his bed, he had a big drawing poster board of comic panels taped on his wall. On the left side of his closet door, was a bookshelf stacked up with speds of Nancy Drew Mystery books and Stephen King books.  On the left side of his room was a Toshiba TV set. On the top of his television was a black Sony VCR. His TV was standing on top of a glass TV unit where it had sets of VHS movie tapes. Beneath the TV unit was his  Comedy movie section and Horror genre section. 
      "What's that poster drawing you drew, Voo-doo-In Tha, what?" Mike asked.
      "It's a Nancy Drew mystery I drew called "Nancy Drew: Voodoo In The Hood comic drawing I did…" Gregg said.
       "Voodoo? You into Voodoo nigga?" Mike asked.
      "Yeah man, I know a lot about Voodoo, I spent a whole month studying about voodoo in a witchcraft book I bought at the book store…" 
     "You practice Voodoo for real?" Timothy asked.
     "Naw, it's for my comic book, man, I'm thinking about selling my comic book arts though, I can be making a whole lot of bread, " Gregg said.
      "I'm glad you don't practice Voodoo, and you can actually make a living selling your comic books, how? I don't know, maybe you can sell it to some of the kids at school who reads comic books, " Timothy informed.
       "That's a good thought, Timothy, " Gregg said.
     "You actually read Nancy Drew books too? Now what nigga reads about about a white woman?" Mike asked, standing near the book shelf holding one of Gregg's Nancy Drew books. All of them started laughing except for Gregg.
    "The kinda nigga who's smart and get ideas from books and add them to his art, " Gregg said.
    "Man, you gotta point, but I don't read these kinda books, I like more historical books from the 18th centuries, " Mike said.
    "Books from the 1800s? Those books boring as hell, they put me to sleep" Gregg said.
    "I like em, you can learn so much interesting stuff that happened back then. But judging by this cover of this blonde woman,  Nancy, she does look kinda fly though, I'll smash her good, " Mike said talking s*xually.
     "Man, if Nancy Drew was real, she wouldn't want you man, she would want a real man like me, who is fascinated with mysterious," Gregg said, and the others laughed.
     "Nancy Drew not real?" Mike asked while the others laugh at him.
      "Haha, man naw, she is a fiction character, " Gregg said trembling his head.
       "Aw man, all this time I thought this woman was real, I could have sworn I saw this woman on the news channel somewhere, " Mike said putting the book back on the shelf while the others still laughing hard at him.
      "Haha, on the news? Everybody knows that Nancy Drew is not real, you tweaking man, " Timothy said shaking his head.
    "Yeah, he is. Now let's start making these flyers, " Gregg said.
    They all strolled towards Gregg's computer desk, which was big and was made out of wood. The desk was placed in a corner by his window. The computer was a white Dell computer.
    "Aw my bad y'all, let me go get some chairs for y'all, " Gregg said getting up from his seat.
      2 minutes later, Gregg comes back into the room with four chairs. "Here y'all go, let's get this over with, " Gregg said walking towards his desk sitting in his chair.
     "Now how do we actually come up with flyers?" Gregg asked.
    "Don't worry y'all, I know how to create it, " Anthony said stepping in.
   "Yeah you the one came up with this plan, you know what, you can sit here then, " Gregg said leaping up from his seat.
     "Okay.  Well first we need a short content, " Anthony said.
    "What do you mean?" Gregg asked.
    "Like a real short leading content
explaining what we using the thugs for, " Anthony informed.
    "Uh, maybe…" Gregg getting cut off.
    "I know what it can be, I was thinking it can say, We Need A Thug To Act For a 1,000 Award. If The Thug Do This Act Right, You Could Win More Mone," Mike suggested.
     "Hmm, that's not a bad content Mike, " Gregg said.
     "Okay, let's use it then, " Anthony said typing the letters on a Microsoft Office XP document.
"Okay, now I have to divide them into sections to spread it out so we can print a lot of copies out."
           "Cool, " Gregg said.
          "We need a catchy headline phrase, " Anthony said.
         "So we need a title?" Gregg asked.
        "Yeah but it has to be catchy, so it can stand out for thugs to read it when they approach it on the street. We are hanging these flyers up right?" Anthony asked.
       "Yeah I rather hang up the flyers than just giving it to em, if we give it to em they ain't go take no teenagers serious, " Gregg said.
      "Yeah, y'all got any ideas for a headline phrase? What about you Jeremiah?" Anthony asked.
     "Uhm, maybe, since we attracting thugs, it should be something called How To Make More Money As A Hustling Thug slash call this number blah blah blah, " Jeremiah.
       "Haha, that ain't a bad phrase man, " Anthony said.
      "Hell naw it ain't, that's a cool phrase man. Jeremiah, you my boy and all, but you too quiet man, you need to talk more, you got some cool **s ideas, " Gregg said.
      "Let us use that phrase than, " Anthony said typing. "Don't forget about the location, " Anthony informed.
      "You can just put, You Can Reach Us At This Address Located On 78th N Cottage Grove Street, " Gregg said.
        "Okay, "Anthony said typing. "What phone number we will use?" 
        "Do we actually need a phone number?" Timothy asked.
         "I think we do cause it would be creepy if they just pop up at our location,  wouldn't it?" Gregg asked.
         "He gotta point, " Timothy agreed.
         "What number we using?" Anthony asked.
         "We can use Jeremiah's mama's phone number, " Mike said being sarcastic.
        "What?" Jeremiah said, with a weird look on his face.
      "Haha, it's something wrong with you man, " Anthony said shaking his head.
     "Put my number down, 773-468-4590," Gregg said.
     "Okay, the flyers are officially complet...Aw wait, I forget we need an image design to attract them, we need something serious that is about business," Anthony suggested.
     "We can use a photo of 2pac in the movie Juice, " Gregg said.
     Everyone laughed. "Hahaa, naw man, we need something more realistic, not in no movie, like a picture of a businessman wearing a briefcase, " Anthony suggested.
      "I think that would work since you said business-wise, " Gregg said.
       "What about multiple pictures of different professions?" Jeremiah asked.
       "What do you mean?" Anthony asked.
       "Like you can have the same black man picture having a suit and tie on holding a briefcase, with three other panels of pictures of the same man either posing as an actor, a chef, police, whatever, that's just a thought, " Jeremiah suggested.
        "I like that thought, imma use it, " Anthony said typing the information.
       "Cool, " Gregg said.
       "Hey man Gregg, about that brick building you showed us yesterday. That place needs some decorating cause that place looks terrible, and it smells terrible, " Anthony informed.
       "How we go decorate an old building?" Gregg asked.
      "I think I have somebody in mind, but we need a break, I'll tell y'all about it later, who's hungry?" Anthony asked.
      "I am, " Timothy said rubbing his stomach. 
      "Me too, " Gregg said.
     "Who has taste for some J&J Fish?" Anthony asked.
       "Fish? I know I do," Gregg said.
     All of them agreed and stood up from their seats, and walked out of Gregg's room.

"Is everything for the meeting ready?" Marcus Holland asked his person assistant "yes sir" Replied the assistant. Marcus has always been distant from his family.  But today he was going to meet them

             "Marcus when are you getting married" Holland eldest asked . Marcus at the age of 25 was not married. "I don't think it's the right time yet but if you have anyone  in mind just let me know" Marcus replied coolly as if getting married was not something important.

"WHAT!!!!" Nancy shouted when her mom told her that they are about to find a man for her. "You don't have to scream its not like I plan on getting you married to a begged" Mrs Drew answered coldly. "He and his family will be coming here tomorrow " Mrs Drew said as she took her leave. Nancy at 22 considered herself not ready for marriage.

Kate slightly sitting upright with the aid of her friends.
"I'm fine." she grimaced, looking over to the streets.

Riley stared down keenly at Kate with concern as they helped her up. 
"Who were they?" queried Loretta but Riley instantly cut in, holding Kate's right hand "You're bleeding." she muttered, alarmed.

Kate swiftly glanced down at her hand and shrugged, "It's nothing serious. It was due to the fall."

"I think we need to take you to the infirmary to prevent any infections."

"Don't worry Riley, I'm perfectly okay. It's just a fall."

Riley hastily cutting in, her eyes filled with concern. "I don't think so Kate, I still insist  we head to the infirmary."
Kate swiftly glanced at her wound and back to Riley for a while. Seeing the look on her face, she gave in. "Okay, okay, let's get going before class starts."

"Yes, let's go." added Riley, leading the way with Kate, followed by Loretta and Nancy.

"I think we need to speed up our investigations and plans. Nichole is drastically closing in on us." uttered Loretta as they rounded the corridor to the infirmary.

After few minutes, Kate had her wounds treated and they all sauntered back into their classroom.
Not long has they gotten into their seats when Mr. Dan, their Literature teacher walked in.

"Let's begin with our thesis." he muttered, walking up to the board.

All the class attention were drawn him, everybody listening attentively and Riley was no exception. She was deeply into the ongoing lesson when she felt her phone vibrating her in her bag. She slowly pulled her bag close to prevent the lecturer from noticing her and reached out for the phone. She slightly lowered her head, taking a quick peck on he screen of the phone and noticed a text from an unknown number.

"Who might it be?" she muttered, with Loretta slightly turning to glance at her as she clicked on the message icon. She opened the message and her eyes flew wide open, stunned with what she saw. A message with a picture attached to it.

Message:
Come and meet me if you want to see your mother and boyfriend alive.
Location: Natton street 124.

She read the message, trembling as she scrolled down to the picture.

"Oh my God." she mumbled, raising from her seat instantaneously as she thumped her hand on her desk. Loretta swiftly gazed at her startled, with the  whole class attention drawn to her.
Kate and Nancy glanced at each other quizzically then back to Riley.

"What is it Riley?" queried Loretta.

She gazed at Loretta but her attention was immediately drawn to the board by their teacher's voice.
"What's going on Miss Riley?" questioned Mr. Dan, starring keenly at her.

She stared blankly at him then back to Loretta.
"This can't just be happening." she muttered, picking up her bag. "I need to go" she added with a cracked voice and dashed off.

"Riley...!" shouted Loretta.

"Hey, Riley!" shouted Kate, raising up from her seat."What can't just be happening?" she muttered, rushing after Riley, followed by Nancy and Loretta. The whole class looked on, confused.
  Kate, Loretta and Nancy caught up with Riley half way through the corridor. Nancy held her hand, pulling her to a stop.
"Where are you going Riley? What's happening?."

Riley hived a depressed sigh, holding up the phone to her friends. Loretta hastily took it on noticing the picture. Kate and Nancy also drew closer to have a look. They stared at each other on reading the message and glanced back at Riley, handing the phone back to her, awed.

"I need to go girls." she uttered, turning to leave but Kate pulled her back again.

"How true is this? Have you called Lionel or your mother? What if it's one of her tricks?"

"I don't think so Kate...Look at the picture, does it look fake?"

"No Riley but I still think you should call them before leaving so to be sure."

Riley gazed at Kate thoughtfully for a while, turning her stare to Nancy and Loretta too. They both nodded in support to Kate's request.

"Okay, Okay..." she muttered in surrender, scanning through her phone for her mother's number. She finally got hold of it, dialling. She waited impatiently as it connects for a while.

"Hello." she hastily muttered at the sound of a tone but realized that it was from the network servers. She called again but there was no answer. She tried Lionel's number and it was the same situation.

"I'm not getting anywhere with this." she muttered worriedly. "I need to run now, time is not on our side. See you girls later."

"Wai....t" mumbled Loretta but she had already left.

"We need to do something about this Kate. I sense something is not right over her." uttered Loretta, concerned.

"I know right." she muttered, pausing thoughtfully for a while."How about we head to her house to check or better still, call Uncle Lian."

"I think we should go and check for ourselves. We can still call Uncle Lian on our way. He would know what to do if it happens to be a trap." replied Nancy.

"Okay, Okay, let's go." uttered Kate, taking the lead, followed by Loretta and Nancy.

Nichole was in the living room when she saw Dickson glided downstairs to the kitchen. Just then, she heard her phone ring. she hastily answered without checking the caller.

"Hello." came Zed's voice  through the phone.

She jolted up alarmed on noticing his voice.
"Give me a second." she muttered as she took a quick glance at the entrance of the kitchen.

Nichole secretly glided out of the house to the terrace, spying to be sure that she hasn't been noticed by Dickson. When she was sure that she was far from being heard, she drew the phone back to her ears.

"How is it going Zed?" she questioned.

"In some few minutes time, you will receive good news." 

"That's great Zed, just keep me posted." she uttered with a smirk.

"Sure." he muttered, hanging up.

Nichole smiled satisfactorily, playfully hitting the phone in her palm.
"You can't outsmart me Riley. I'm the queen of this game." she muttered smugly. "I always gets what I want you brat." (smirking).

The whole incident was seen by an unexpected person. She was none other than Nancy. She was filled with  an overwhelming jealousy. " Who was that rich handsome man!!!! How can she always drew attraction of young handsome guys???? I already snatched Raymond from you...Yet you were hooked up with a rich man. I will  snatch everything  from you Bella... She gritted her teeth and drove away

On the other side,   a man in black suit was reporting to his Boss. " Yes Boss.  It seems that Mr. Gu and Miss Bella is very close" The person ,who was sitting in the sofa was very angry . He suddenly stood up from the sofa and threw the wine glass. The glass was broken and pieces were scattered all over the floor. Seeing his angry face, the man opposite to him  was frightened.. " Keep an eye on both of them and inform me everything " .. " Yes Boss". He left the room in a hurry as if he wanted to escape from his Boss

" Bella, You have gone too far " thought Charles..

" Mom, " As soon as Nancy entered her villa , she called her mother. " Oh!!! I am here . What's the matter Nancy??" asked Gloria..
" That Bitch !!! Bella, I saw her with another rich man." " What??? Omg!!! How could I answer to Mr. Charles. He will eat our entire family alive" Said Gloria with full of anxiety.  She was really frightened this time. She knew how ruthless Charles was..
 
Nancy obviously understood her mother's concern ."Don't worry Mom. He is a cunning man. He has another way to deal with Isabella." Stop talking  nonsense Nancy .He has your video. He threatened me with that. If that video released on the net, we will lose our reputation, and your career will end without any delay. Do you want that to happen??? She scolded her daughter, who was acting like a fool. 

" I understand mom. But, how can we stop Charles. He is wolf in a sheep coat". " We have to make Bella agree  to marry him. That was his demand. If we succeed , then he will delete the video. " . " Again it's her. How much our family owe this bitch in our precious life?? Nancy cursed Bella in her mind. " It was because of your reckless action. Don't make me loose my temper again. Why did you drank too much at that night Nancy ??? Gloria lost her calmness . She scolded Nancy. 

Seeing her mother like this , Nancy wisely shut her mouth. After all it was her fault. It was the day when she had a fierce battle with her boyfriend ; Raymond. Yes ; Bella's ex-boyfriend . So, she drank too much alcohol and somehow ended up in a hotel room with a strange man. Someone recorded the entire scene beautifully. Unfortunately, Now ,it was in Charles hands .The  thought of consequences following the release of that video  in the entertainment circle made her shiver. She can't let that happen. She has two choices either make Bella to agree for the marriage or destroy the video which was in Charles hands . Both were tough options. Thought Nancy ..

Bella woke up late . Olivia already left for work. She made breakfast for Bella. Bella had her breakfast and got ready for office." I have to face Harry again. What will be his next movement??? Everytime , when I was with him ,he always touch me without my permission. I won't let that happen again." thought Bella ..

Suddenly, she got a call . It was an unknown number. She hesitated for a moment but answerd the call. " Hello, I am Derrick. We will shoot the album next week . I have to discuss important things regarding that. " " Ok Mr. Derrick. Let me ask  leave to my boss and I will let you know ." " Ok ." He hung up the call. " Derrick had never waited for anybody. But, Bella was an exception. After hearing the beautiful voice , for which he has waited for a long time, Derrick was really happy. He felt like a century since he last met her. Even though he hadn't seen her ,he was updated with her every information .Bella didn't knew that, the list of men ,who wanted to pursue her began to increase....She was thinking about only one man in heart.... Harrison sneezed suddenly in his office...

It was a Sunday afternoon turning dark and I heard my parents arguing again from the back yard. My siblings had already fallen asleep while watching television in the living room. I tried to sleep as well but they were too loud. I didn't know what was going on but I heard my dad shout " I'll give it to you after I listen to it".  So when I go outside I see my mom on her tiptoes grabbing his right arm trying to reach from him what looked like a audio recorder. I was only 11 at the time and it was the first I had seen them in that so mad at one another. Tears began sliding down my chicks, I covered my face not wanting to see anymore. I felt a warm body approach me. Wiping off my tears I heard my moms soft voice telling me it's okay sweetie don't cry... everything is okay. All I wanted was for them to never argue again but little did I know that was only the beginning.
It's the next day and I was getting ready for school. My alarm was my mom so she would wake me up and make me breakfast. After that she would come out the house with her messy hair and pajamas to watch me go to the bus stop. It wasn't that far ,it was like three houses away.The school I attended required us to wear a uniform with the colors blue,red, kaky, and white... it was the worst. Although we were able to choose between pant skirt or dress, I always wore pants .Going  to made me very happy because I enjoyed getting on the school bus with my best friend. I would usually be the first one to get to the stop even though my friend lived right next to it. Her name was Linda Wilson and she was one year older than I was. Instead of a backpack she would wear a handbag,that she would put over her head. It would make her breast pop out more which made me feel uncomfortable. One time getting back from school Nancy;my bus driver,had pulled out the stop signal getting ready to cross some kids ,when a white car passed by and made her furious enough to shout. All the kids in the bus got real quiet. Heading back home after saying by to my friend I notice my dads car isn't in the drive way or the curbside. We only had two cars but my mom worked in the night and my dad in the morning. Since no one was home I would go to me neighbors house and stay there until my parents came back.

"Ugh nineteen, I can't believe I'm nineteen Teresa"
"Oh you're getting up there, it sucks Nancy gave you a shift knowing it's your birthday."
"I know right, but it's oh well. I'm glad I have the weekend off at least"
"Any plans for tonight?"
"Yeah I'm guessing Liam has some great big surprise, he's a great guy." Alexis said tying up a garbage bag ready to take it out to the back dumpster. Walking out she fumbled and fell forward landing face first - 
"Oh shit" she said standing up holding her scratched up chin. She then lit up a cigarette and inhaled, 
"Lovely" she said exhaling the smoke. The back door of the restaurant flew open, 
"Alexis what the hell do you think you're doing, what have I told you about smoking?"
"Not to smoke when I'm not on breaks?"
"Keep getting smart and you'll find out. Get in here and finish up the dishes now!"
"Alright, sorry Nancy" Alexis said stepping out the cigarette under her shoe and going back into the restaurant. 
"Finish up the dishes huh?" Alexis thought viewing the dishes piled high like the tallest towers in a city. Half way through scrubbing tomato sauce and left over food off plates she knocked over the remaining dishes. There was a lot of loud clanking and smashing, then a huge mess of glass shards all over the kitchen floor. 
"Now look what you've done you idiot! Clean this up and maybe I won't fire you" Nancy threatened. Alexis got the broom and dustpan out of the closet and began sweeping away. 
"I'm clocking out now, do you want me to help you clean up before I go?"
"No, no Teresa it's fine you go enjoy the rest of your night."
"If you say so Alexis. Anyways happy birthday."
"Thank you so much" Alexis said putting on the first genuine smile all day. Teresa headed out and Alexis swept the glass into the dustpan. As she went to dump it into the garbage a glass shard fell to the ground. Being to lazy to sweep it back up into the dustpan she attempted to pick it up with her hand. That was a mistake because she cut her finger, "Ouch!" she cried. 
"Alexis if you're done cleaning up your mess there's a table waiting to be served!" Nancy shouted into the kitchen. Alexis grabbed a Band-Aid out of the first aid kit and wrapped it over her cut then went to find the waiting table. Walking up with her head down she said "Sorry for the wait what can I get yo-" she stopped talking when she lifted her head.  It was her father out on a date with a woman, Alexis' parents had been split up for a year and it still never felt right.
"Alexis, I didn't know you were working here. You know Bianca" her father said gesturing over to his girlfriend.
"I told you I was working here last time we talked."
"Did you? Oh, well good for you" Alexis' dad said staring at her awkwardly. Her father had cheated on her mother with their neighbour and Alexis never forgave him for it. 
"Jason what would you and your date like?"
"Alexis please call me dad, that's what I am after all. You know Bianca's name as well so please can you try not to be rude?" her father asked. Alexis hated Bianca even before she had an affair with her father and ruined her parents marriage along with her household. Bianca had ran over Alexis' dog and she still believes Bianca did it on purpose. 
"Alright my sweet father I apologize, what would you and your home-wrecking whore like to eat?"
"Alexis!" her father screamed bringing his fist down on the table with a slam. Other people eating lunch around the room stopped and looked over. Nancy entered the room searching for the cause of disturbance.
"What's going on?"
"Your waitress is being very rude to me and my fiancé" Alexis' father sold her out staring at her with disappointment. Alexis was shocked not because of him selling her out, that wasn't a surprise but his fiancé? 
"I hate you" Alexis said with pure anger in her eyes and left her father speechless.
"First earlier, now this? Alexis you're fired get the hell out of my restaurant"
"Nancy plea-"
"Fired" Nancy said again. Alexis untied her apron and threw it on the floor, before grabbing a plate off a table. She chucked it like a frisbee at a wall - 
"That's coming out of your check!" Nancy informed. Alexis flipped her off with both hands before leaving out the back and going to her rust bucket of a beat up car. After tugging on the busted door for a minute it flew open. She sat down and pulled the door shut feeling so furious that she was tempted to go back in and punch her father in the face. She couldn't believe him and he hadn't even remembered it was her birthday today. Reaching in her pockets she found her keys and put them in the ignition. She then turned the key again and again, the car would not start. Swinging the door open she climbed out and started booting the side of it. After the sixth kick her front wheel fell off and she sat down up against the piece of crap. She pulled out a cigarette and lit it up, 
"Guess I gotta walk home" she said. Plugging in her earbuds to her phone she popped them in her ears. She pressed play on her music app and began walking home. After a long walk she  entered her apartment, or at least her boyfriends apartment that she had moved into three months ago. She couldn't wait to see Liam, he'd make everything so much better. "Baby I'm home, where are you?" Alexis said closing their apartment door. She looked in the mirror by the door at herself. Combing her fingers through her long blonde hair over her ear. Then scrubbing the makeup off her bright blue eyes and the lipstick off her thin feminine lips. She walked down the hall into their room "Oh hey Alex, how was work?" Liam said putting on a shirt getting out of bed. Alexis pushed him back into bed falling into his arms with her head on his chest. 
"Horrible I was fired but-"
"You were fired?"
"Yeah it's no big deal I ca-"
"How are you gonna help me pay rent now?"
"I can get another job Liam" Alexis said getting up off of him feeling a bit attacked.
"I can't afford to wait for you to get another job."
"So what are you sayi-" Alexis stopped talking after hearing a noise come from the closet.
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what? I didn't hear anything" Liam said trying to kiss and cuddle with her. She was almost forgetting about the noise, falling for his kisses like hypnosis when she heard a sneeze. She hopped out of bed and swung the closet door open to find a girl in her bra and underwear. 
"What is this?"
"Alex it's not what it looks like."
"Really? Because it looks like you're cheating on me with this dirty skank" Alexis said as the girl made an offended
"Ugh" noise and stepped out of the closet. She grabbed her clothes hidden under the bed and began getting dressed. 
"Alexis I'm sorry but we're not in love anymore."
"We're not?" Alexis asked very surprised, from her knowledge they were deeply in love.
"Me and Jessica here have something we used to but faded away. We don't even spend time together anymore Alex."
"How long has this been going on?"
"Alex-"
"How long!"
"One month" Liam said stepping out of bed putting his arm around Jessica. 
"I think she's the one for me, my soulmate."
"So that's it?"
"Oh yeah of course, sorry. Happy birthday" Liam said with an irritating smile. Alexis snapped she drew back her fist and punched him in his smug teeth. He fell back into the bed 
"What the hell is your problem?" Jessica yelled. Alexis drew back her fist again, 
"Do you want to be next?" She threatened and Jessica flinched. Alexis grabbed her essential stuff and some clothes before throwing her spare key at Liam. 
"Enjoy your soulmate douchebag" she said walking out of the apartment and slamming the door behind her.

Four people with very different lives are miserable. Nothing goes right for them and they think it can't get worse, until it does. They go day after day hating their existence wishing to be happy then end up meeting each other. Realizing life's what you make it they all decide to do what they've always wanted.

Kris still followed Luke closely and Bobby was behind them, while Nancy and Quentin were already searching the basement.
Compared with Kris, who had already been saved by Luke twice, they were more desperate to find out exactly what Freddy wanted.
Picking up something from an old table, Quentin mumbled, "This is it, this definitely is his place."
Quentin was holding a finger blade, which was part of the claw-like weapon on Freddy's hand.
After looking around for a while, Nancy stared closely at a drawing. "I… think there's something behind there."
Luke had already detected it with his Sharp Nose. He nodded and said, "Let me."
Hanging the light on the wall, he tore down the children's drawing to reveal a small door at the bottom.
He dismantled the door carefully and put it to one side. Crouching down for a look, he realized that inside was a secret room.
He took down the light and placed it inside the small secret room. "Do you want to go in and take a look?"
Nancy and Quentin both nodded, while Kris simply looked at Luke silently.
A moment later, Bobby remained outside while the rest of them crawled into the room.
It was much smaller than the room outside and was a space created by adding two extra walls to one corner of the original room.
There was no furniture inside except for a single bed covered with a dusty quilt. 
However, all the walls were covered in clumsy paint doodles.
After so long, the paint had turned gray and black so that on closer look, the doodles weren't cute at all, but instead pretty creepy.
Looking at the doodles, Nancy touched them and mumbled, "I think… I drew these when I was little."
Luke didn't think too much of it. He looked around and found an old album in a dusty paper box on the nightstand.
Opening it, he found some old laminated photos.
He flipped through a few pages and quickly scanned the rest of the photos.
A few seconds later, he closed the album and frowned.
Noticing his expression, Quentin couldn't help but ask, "What's in it?"
Both Kris and Nancy looked at the album in Luke's hand.
Luke shook his head and didn't answer that question.
He looked at Nancy and then at Kris. "This is probably what he wants you to remember."
The girls subconsciously stepped forward. Nancy couldn't help but ask, "What is it?"
After a brief silence, Luke said, "The answers you were looking for: What happened in this kindergarten back then."
Nancy stepped forward again with one hand out. "Can I take a look?"
Frowning for a moment, Luke looked at Kris and asked, "I think I know why he wants you to come here, but this thing is a trap. So, I'll ask you once again: Do you really want to look at it?"
After a brief hesitation, Nancy nodded. "I do."
Looking at Luke's face, Kris suddenly shook her head. "No, I don't."
Luke nodded and said, "Alright. Nancy, you wait a bit."
Saying that, Luke swiftly took out most of the photos before he tossed the album to Nancy.
He then fished out a lighter and burned the ten or so photos in his hand to ashes.
While doing so, he used his body to block everyone else's line of sight so that they couldn't see the photos.
On the other side, Nancy abruptly flushed when she looked at the photos before she turned pale. "No, that's impossible."
Quentin moved, about to go over and take a look at the photos.
Luke darted to Quentin's side and pressed down on his shoulder. "That's her business."
Quentin was silent.
He couldn't go over even if he wanted to as the force on his shoulder kept him firmly in place.
Looking at Nancy who suddenly burst into tears, Luke didn't feel very guilty.
Considering Quentin and Nancy's curiosity, they would've become overly suspicious if he directly burnt all the photos.
Thankfully, Kris trusted him more and was less curious.
Luke walked over to Nancy and gave her his lighter. "I think you need this."
Staring blankly at the lighter for a moment, Nancy finally came back to herself and grabbed it.
But her hands were shaking so hard and didn't have any strength. It took her several tries before she could start a fire.
Luke didn't help her but simply turned around to block everyone else's line of sight.
A moment later, he smelled the photos burning and heard Nancy's intermittent sobs.
After a while, he finally moved to stand next to Kris.
As for Nancy? She had Quentin to console her. There was clearly something between the two of them, and Luke didn't have to stick his foot in it.
Seeing the bewilderment in Kris's eyes, he said, "Since you decided to let the past go, there's no need to feel conflicted about it. Not all memories are beautiful."
Seeing how Nancy was crying so wretchedly, Kris was utterly relieved inwardly.
She had a feeling that she would've been as devastated as Nancy if she had chosen to look at the photos.
Even if she had a rough guess about what the photos contained, it wasn't as big a blow since she didn't see them with her own eyes.
Human beings were always good at deceiving themselves.
After a long while, Nancy finally calmed down.
Only then did Luke say, "Alright, Nancy, I know you're upset, but that's even more reason to settle this once and for all, right?"
Nancy raised her head and stared at him for a moment before she slowly nodded her head.
Quentin couldn't help but ask, "How are we going to get rid of him?"
Luke observed them and said, "It's been a long time since you slept, right?"
Both of them nodded bitterly.
Luke said, "Now, lie down on the bed and go to sleep."
They looked at the filthy and worn bed and shuddered.
But Luke was already walking over to pull out the single bed. He carefully wrapped up the bedding and quilt before throwing them into a corner.
"This should do now." All that was left of the single bed now was the bedframe, and he nodded in satisfaction.
Nancy and Quentin sighed in relief.
While the planks were hard, they were at least clean.
At that moment, Luke continued, "Kris, Nancy, the two of you lie down."
Saying that, he pulled over a wooden stool from the side. Confirming that it was sturdy enough, he placed it next to the bed. 
Befuddled, Quentin asked, "Then… what about me?"
The two girls looked at him, then at the single bed again.
Luke had just sat down on the stool. Hearing the question, he subconsciously looked at… the floor.
