As they walked through the entrance of the hall of mirrors, Chan kept a tight hold on Sehyoon's arm. Trembles could be felt coming from his body, and Sehyoon tried his best to soothe his friend's nerves - even though he wasn't doing that much better himself. Shuffling could be heard behind them, and they knew it was coming from the glasses guy; knowing where the sound was coming from made it less frightening than the endless darkness before them.

As for the glasses guy, Han-gyeol, his hands were outstretched before him, and his steps were unsteady, as he tried to find his way through the darkness. Disconcertion filled him as he moved forward, and no matter how much he called out, only gurgling sounds would escape his throat.

Before, when the trio was still standing outside, Gyeol had been still lying on the ground and struggling under the foot of the game master, so he could choose nothing from the hat. And then the game master had seemed to grant him some mercy by lifting their foot and giving Gyeol some space to move more freely.

After they had removed their foot from his back, it was like something had taken control of his body, and Gyeol stood up, and in a daze, he moved forward and placed his hand inside the hat.

That was why he was now one of the participants in the game.

The duo ignored the pained grunts behind them - it wasn't like they didn't want to help at the moment; it wasn't certain if they could guarantee their safety.

In the narrow walkway, the mirrors on both sides seemed to stretch on for a while, with no end in sight. Honestly, looking in them was disconcerting, and they kept their gazes trained forwards, lest they saw something frightening reflected in the mirrors' surface. Their hold on one another tightened, and they focused their attention on their feet, to not suddenly trip.

"Why do I feel like something bad is about to happen?" Chan's soft voice echoed in the small space. 

Sehyoon turned to glare at him and was about to curse him out for saying words that were jinxed when he heard a creaking noise coming from in front of them. At the same time, he felt Chan tensing up beside him, and after seeing the younger male's eyes widening and jaw going slack, he looked to the front and his face paled. 

Before them was a humanoid-shaped being that at first looked like it was made of flesh and blood, but if you looked closer, you could see that its movements were wooden, and sounds of it creaking echoed in the narrow passageway. Upon its face, the normal features were painted on, and its eyes stared unblinkingly at the trio and its wooden legs stiffly lifted as it came towards them. 

Sehyoon and Chan felt as though their feet were firmly planted on the ground, and their breaths collectively got stuck in their chests. Even the sounds of the blinded guy groaning faded away in that instant, as fear overtook all of them. At that moment, the two guys felt jealously towards him for not being able to see the monstrosity that was coming towards them. 

Snapping out of it, Sehyoon moved Chan behind him and said in a low voice, "on the count of three, grab Han-Gyeol and run as fast as you can. I'll distract whatever that thing is, and join you after." 

"No!" Chan exclaimed and grabbed onto Sehyoon's arm again. "I can't leave you here on your own."

"Just do as I say!" Sehyoon raised his voice unintentionally, and the cracking of teeth could be heard from how hard he was gritting his teeth. "This is the only way. If you want us to get out of here, you have to get away first. Trust me, Chan."

Chan hesitated for a moment, and then slowly nodded his head. "Alright, I'll listen to you this time." 

"Good. On the count of three." Sehyoon stepped forward as he began to count, and when he reached three he heard Chan begging Han-Gyeol to follow him. Then he heard hurried footsteps moving further and further away from the darkened corridor. 

"Ok, creepy puppet man, it's just me and you left..." 

Sehyoon gulped and thought about how he was going to get out of this predicament.

"¢αи αиуσиє нєαя мє? ι'м нι∂∂єи υи∂єяgяσυи∂..."

Sehyoon woke up to find himself trapped in an amusement park, and forced into endless death games. One by one, he watched as his friends and other players lost their lives to these games, until he was the only one left. Will there ever be an end to this? Or will he be forever made to stake his life in these games? 

"¢αи αиуσиє нєαя мє? αм ι тαℓкιиg тσ муѕєℓf?"

"Say, brother—friend! Are you from a higher race?" Lao Zhuoma was going to call Han Sen "brother," but it wasn't appropriate. So, he called him "friend."
Lao Zhuoma thought Han Sen was from a higher race, because normal Barons should never reach that sort of level. It didn't matter how much they practiced, they just couldn't.
"On the form, didn't I tell you I was human?" Han Sen acted like he didn't understand what he was being asked.
"Yes, you did." Lao Zhuoma felt disheartened, as he had never heard of a human before. And he knew there was no higher race called that.
Lao Zhuoma still felt depressed, and without saying much, he told Han Sen, "Dollar, you will have to wait a few days on this airship. But going to Seven Mirrors won't take long, once we depart."
"That's okay. I greatly enjoy traveling," Han Sen said.
Lao Zhuoma gave Han Sen a room to live in, but without anything to do, Han Sen found himself going up on deck. Many refugees wished to board the airship and go to Seven Mirrors. Going to an underdeveloped planet was better than remaining in a warzone, or so they felt.
But Seven Mirrors wasn't willing to take just anybody. The Nobles were always favored, which made it difficult for commoners to be accepted.
Seven Mirrors was not a charity, and they were only going to take those who could prove themselves useful. The old, sick, or injured weren't allowed on board.
"What race do you belong to? You don't look like you're from Planet Kate," a Baron Kate asked. He had come forward to check Han Sen out.
"Human," Han Sen answered.
"I have never heard of them, so I can only assume they are even smaller than the Kate." The Baron wasn't insulting Han Sen; he was mocking himself, more than anything.
Han Sen looked at him and asked, "What can I do for you?"
"I am Mike." The Baron introduced himself, and then said, "So, we've been recruited by Seven Mirrors and we're headed to an underdeveloped planet for work? If you want, why don't we go to the same place and partner up?"
"I still haven't decided if I want to go yet." Han Sen did not reply.
Mike shook his head. "When the fighting starts, it's not only the common folk that will be in grave danger. The Barons will be, too. Land reclamation is hard, but it is still better than war. So, why the hesitation?"
"We'll see." Han Sen didn't much care for what he was being told.
Han Sen had spoken to Qiao, and he was able to confirm that war had not yet reached Gran City. Qiao and Lan Se were thinking of ways they could escape and where they could go, but they had so far been unable to reach a decision.
Han Sen told them about Seven Mirrors recruiting, and they told him they might consider it. They'd talk about it in greater depth once they were all together again.
The Third Master had evacuated from Planet Kate with Mister Tiger, and they extended an invite for Han Sen to join them at another headquarters of the Black Gold Group. It was an offer Han Sen quickly rejected, though.
Mike wished to say something more to Han Sen, but something occurred down below.
They both looked down and saw a legion of centaurs in front of the airship. They surrounded the people who were waiting for a chance to conduct the test in the hopes of boarding the airship.
Lao Zhuoma quickly went down to meet the centaurs, though. He smiled and said, "Taurus, please do not misunderstand. We are from Seven Mirrors, and we are friends, not enemies."
After that, Lao Zhuoma pointed at the Seven Mirrors emblem on the ship.
The leading centaur recognized it; in fact, it was the reason that the centaurs had taken action.
The centaur, seeing the Seven Mirrors symbol, looked at Lao Zhuoma and coldly said, "We don't care about Seven Mirrors. Kill all these Kate."
The centaur warriors lifted their spears to kill the Kate that had been lining up. Lao Zhuoma looked horrified at the wrath of the centaurs. He had joined Seven Mirrors, yes, but he was Kate. It hurt to see his own people get slaughtered.
"Can you show mercy? Seven Mirrors will be accepting these Kate. We were going to take them to help develop an empty planet. Please?" Lao Zhuoma gritted his teeth.
Although many people would fail the test, Lao Zhuoma was a Kate himself. He couldn't just watch them die.
Mike looked just as angry, too. He said. "The low lives of Taurus happily licked the boots of the Feathers when they were in control, but now that they have fallen, these scumbags have aligned themselves with the enemies of the Feathers. This is f*cking horrible!"
"Which race did they sign up with?" Han Sen asked curiously.
"I think they are called Demons. They looked similar to the Kate, but they have horns on their heads," Mike said.
Han Sen wished to say something, but the leader of the centaurs shouted, "What a load of crap! Only the people currently onboard the ship count as Seven Mirrors. Just kill the rest of them."
After that, he commanded his warriors to attack the people.
"Stop!" Lao Zhuoma shouted.
The leader centaur coldly laughed and said, "What? Would you like to fight us, as a representative of Seven Mirrors?"
"No. We are merely recruiting. Please be nice and let us take these people. Seven Mirrors has bought their services," Lao Zhuoma said politely.
Seven Mirrors was not weak, but they weren't the sorts to engage in conflict. This time, when they came to Planet Kate, the supervisor had informed them not to come into contact with any Demons.
"Okay. Let's make this simple; from now on, if they are on the airship they are yours. If they cannot get on board, then I am sorry." After the centaur leader said that, he gestured with his hands for his soldiers to rush forward.
Lao Zhuoma didn't fight. He just shouted at the people, saying, "Get on the ship! Hurry!"
"Animal!" Mike shouted down from atop the ship.
"Why are they killing them? Don't they need people to develop Planet Kate, too?" Han Sen asked with a frown.
Mike coldly said, "Taurus is a race that takes pleasure in killing. They have a grudge with the Kate, due to the Kate beating them once before. Now they've got a clear chance, they aren't so willing to let us leave."
There was some crying heard from the crowds, as people tried to rush forward and get aboard the barge. The entryway was narrow, though, and if many more people boarded, it would overload the airship.
The centaur warriors thundered into the crowds, butchering merrily. The Kate were all just commoners, and so they had no chance of killing the centaur warriors. They were not trained for anything of the sort.
In moments, a dozen of the Kate had been killed.
Lao Zhuoma called for everyone to hurry, but there was not enough room for everyone to get on.

There was something about Xiaobo today that made him seem silent. More silent than usual.
Avoidant even.
It was supposed to be a good and relaxing Saturday, Mei and everyone would go to this amusement park and have fun together. But even though they made their way to the park together and even rode roller coasters… something still seemed to bother Xiaobo.
So when he finally suggested the House of Mirrors, it was something that she was determined for them to go through.
"How about the House of Mirrors?" He motioned to the attraction in the distance. There seemed to be a sizable crowd who were surrounding the place.
Suyin made a face, "Huh, that sounds boring. No offense."
"People are lining up there though—could be fun." Gen shrugged.
Mei smiled and nodded, "Well there's no harm in trying there I guess."
And soon, Suyin would find that it was actually fun. Gen and Suyin were having fun and making faces in front of the mirrors, while she and Chan Lee were slightly just ahead but Xiaobo was too far away. 
"Make funny faces like this—" Gen scrunched his face, like a monkey as he stuck his tongue out. His reflection was as silly as the face he was making.
"How the mirror isn't breaking yet with your expression amazes me." Suyin remarked with a shake of her head.
Chan Lee stifled a giggle at the two.
Mei chuckled at that and pushed up the frame of her glasses, "The two together are cute aren't they?" Mei walked with Chan Lee but saw Xiaobo's retreating figure. Guilt trekked itself in Mei's heart, she promised to help Chan Lee relax and unwind but Xiaobo's behavior worried her.
"Xiaobo! Don't leave us!" 
Her feet were already pushing her past the crowd as she trailed after Xiaobo. And there he was, all by his lonesome. He was sliding his hand idly on the mirrors. Why did he always isolate himself like this? She skipped over towards him and grabbed his arm. "I caught you~" She gave him a toothy grin.
The man glanced down at her, he tried to smile back and nodded as he gently removed his arm from her. "You did—"
It was a bit of a rejection in his own way, but he was never one for physical touches. She smiled anyway, "Why are you going on ahead? It's like you're quite familiar with the layout."
His eyes blinked at her, "I—"
The hall descended into darkness.
Everything before her vanished as she heard screams erupt within the hall. She froze and looked around, panic squeezing itself in her chest. "Xiaobo!" 
There was no reply.
She felt someone grab her, holding her shoulders and pushed her backwards. Her back hit the mirror and felt it revolve—her glasses flew off in the process. Until she finally stumbled on her knees on the cold floor, a sting of pain flashed up her kneecaps, as her eyes brimmed with tears.
But it wasn't complete darkness here.
A small lantern that flickered barely lit the entire place. It wasn't simply a chamber but a tunnel on its own.
She felt her eyes widened, "What?" Could this possibly be part of the House of Mirrors? Even with her somewhat blurred vision, it was obvious that there was no mirror in sight.
She turned back to see a tall figure behind her, and she had a feeling who it was. "Xiaobo? How'd we come here? How'd you know that there would be light?"
They didn't reply.
Was it really Xiaobo? Her vision was blurring, dark shadows crept around the edge of her eyes as the man in front of her kneeled down and groped for something. 
He finally turned to her and grabbed her hand and placed something, she felt something familiar in her hand—it was her glasses.
"I'm sorry it broke." 
She chuckled as she squeezed his hand, "It's alright."
"Mhmm, it might be better this way." It was at this time that his thumb rubbed the back of her hand as he helped her up. "You don't have to see anything."
Mei raised her brow at his words but before she could ask—everything turned dark after that.

When Mei had woken up, she blearily opened her eyes and found herself in a strange and unfamiliar place. This wasn't the House of Mirrors anymore nor was it the same hall that she and Xiaobo found themselves into.
The architecture was almost akin to Heavenly Jade Pavillion, a pagoda like building that was made entirely out of wood.
Nobody produced something like this anymore. Her pulse sped up as she looked around for any sign of a person around.
"Xiaobo? Xiaobo?" She tried to get up but found herself in one place, her wrists were tied behind her back. Glancing back she could see a large wooden pillar where she was tied to.
Fear swallowed her whole.
"No. No." She shook and writhed to break free, struggling in her bindings. "Somebody? Anybody?!" She heard a loud crash and froze.
Another crash would echo inside her entire vicinity, and that was when she noticed that things were bright and clear. She could see clearly enough.
It was a new day already.
But who knew for exactly how long? The crashing sound she heard was familiar and as she took a shuddering breath, she could almost taste it.
The ocean breeze.
But it wasn't only that, outside she could hear a ruckus, the sound and hubbub of people as if they were having the time of their lives—a sinking feeling made its way to her. She got kidnapped and taken to some beach, but it didn't make sense. She had been with Xiao—
"You're finally awake."
A voice had made her look up, she hadn't heard footsteps but they had made their way to her without even the slightest sound.
"W-Who are you?" She gazed at their face, her voice more strained than she imagined it would be. "What have you done with Xiaobo?"
The person in front of her simply chuckled, "Shouldn't you be more concerned with what happened to land yourself in here?"
Mei frowned at them, "It's because you guys here are bad ones who kidnap innocent people?"
"Oh, what a very narrow and childish perception. You can thank your dear friend for landing yourself in your position right now."
"My friend?" She asked, blinking in confusion. "Xiaobo would never—"
"Ah, I wasn't referring to him. Thank this Chan Lee friend of yours."


Chan Lee inched away from him as she tried to find better words than yesterday, she had to let him know why this wasn't exactly good, “You’re starting to get comfortable being in the same bed as me, you know?”

“I recall that you once felt bad for me always sleeping on the floor.” Xue tilted his head at her, his expression told her that he couldn't understand why she was even asking about it.  “So I decided to sleep on the bed.” It was the simplest decision for him.

It seemed that his childlike innocence was still there—added with a dose of childish whinings. Although his requests as of late weren’t exactly that childlike, at least if you asked her. Asking for kisses, wanting to shower in the bathroom together?!

Aaron’s leg began to feel loose. Light in a way, as if he was floating. But apparently, that seemed to be the case because he wasn’t falling to his death. Neither were his feet kissing the ground. The whole place was utterly black and it was spotted with twinkling stars and glazed with pink and purple hazes that imitated star clusters and milky ways. Space. The final frontier they called it. And Aaron seemed to be in the smack dab middle of it, mundanely floating about. 

There was a giant monster of a ball that seemed to be glowering at him from behind. Jupiter. The gray and brown striped planet threatened many of the players by its size while alienating its empty soul into the depths of the galaxy. 

There were vents that floated around the spacial void. Some players didn’t waste any time getting into them. 

The AI didn’t announce the level but instead introduced this place as The Inbetween. A place between levels. A refuge between levels. But was having difficulty being immersed in this idea. A refuge? How come the majority of players weren’t rushing to get into the next vent? What stalled them? 

Aaron was about to open a vent to carry himself to the next level when he felt a weight press against his elbows. 

“Watch it!” Aaron whimpered. 

“What are you doing?” Laney asked, doing a quick somersault in the air. She admired space. For some reason, it felt risk-free. Inviting even. Aaron felt the opposite. There was nothing in this game that he could trust anymore. 

“What does it look like?” 

“You sure you want to do that?” said a voice that didn’t belong to Laney. It was Lex, being trailed by Miles. Aaron puffed for a bit. It was refreshing to see them again but it was kind of annoying at the same time that the game tossed and turned them into different levels like romaine lettuce. It was almost as if relationships weren’t meant to be built in this game. 

“Good to see you, little sister,” said Miles rather underwhelmingly, as he casually did a backflip. He too, like Laney, seemed to be taking advantage of the joyous buoyancy of space. “I’d knew you show up at some point. You never seem to quit do you?” 

“And where would that have gotten you?” Laney said hotly. 

“Fair enough.” 

Lex swam through the black space toward Aaron’s vent. He seemed to be adorned in the same hesitancy that the other players had. The same fear. 

“How certain can you be that this vent will take you where you want to go?” Lex asked. 

“What do you mean?” Aaron asked. “I mean, shouldn’t it? That’s how they work.” 

“That’s how they’re supposed to work,” Lex corrected him. “But that doesn’t mean that’s how they will work. There’s a trick to this in-between place. Some type of caveat and unfortunately you were prone to being blind to it just a minute ago. Like so many of the other players.” 

“What’s the trick then?” 

“Observe,” said Lex, in an unsettling placid way. 

Not too far from them, there was a kid about their age and he had just discovered a vent near him. Out of anticipation, he quickly flung it open and as soon as he did, a ferocious flame devoured him, sucking him into the flare automatically. The fate of the kid had already been decided. 

Aaron’s heart began to pound. But there was a small heat in this one. 

“What the-so you’re saying some of these vents instantly teleport you into the sun as soon as you open them?” 

“The game is good at hiding things like this. I’m glad I was the one to tell you before it was too late.” 

“I-I don’t know what to say.” Aaron sputtered. 

“Whatever it is, it’s better enunciated in a different vent. Maybe the green one over there.” 

“How can you be sure it’s safe?” Miles asked, the telltale fear escaping through his chittering voice. 

“I can’t. But it’s the only vent that’s green in this whole area. Something tells me luck is on our side on this one.” 

The four players swam across to the green vent and tentatively pulled it out. No flame came this time but the mysterious gaping hole still couldn’t be ignored. One by one they flung themselves into the vent, bracing for whatever awaited them on the other side. 

Aaron fell into a room that appeared to be oddly reflective. A room bedecked with nothing but mirrors. Tall narrow mirrors that stretched its hands toward God. The room was unassumingly quiet, a tale that was pretty common when you’re the only one standing in it. 

There was a knife in the middle of this room. A straight narrow knife. Was Aaron supposed to pick it up? And even then, what would he do with it? 

Before he went to grab it, the AIs voice revived itself. 

‘Welcome to level twenty-seven. May you conclude this level in peace.” 

Then something freaky happened afterward. The reflections of Aaron began to unglue themselves from the mirror and come to real life. Suddenly the knife didn’t seem all that pointless anymore. Suddenly it felt like the game was whispering to him “Do or Die”. 

Aaron hastily barrelled the knife into his hand and then began to stab his clones in the chest. Their cardinal blood would seep through the crystal glass but then they’d find a way to vanish back into the mirror and then reanimate themselves back into the fight. It seemed that this hashing of clones would be endless and Aaron would die due to his lack of energy. 

But then a lightbulb switched in his head. What if the main target wasn’t the clones but the mirrors themselves? And most importantly, which one? 

Aaron stabbed his way through a horde of clones until he found another crowd of Aarons just standing there, not even bothering to be affiliated in the fight. They were guarding something, and Aaron knew for a fact he needed to get past them to get to the mirror. But he couldn’t just go at them, because they too had been carrying knives. 

Aaron storked back to the center of the fight. This time more unarmed Aarons came at him but Aaron didn’t slit their throats and try to prick them in the ribs. Instead, he marched ahead of them to the group of Aarons that were guarding the mirror. The Aarons stood guard ready to fight. 

Aaron grinned. They couldn’t fight the Aarons while wholeheartedly focused on him. They were partially distracted. And this made for an easy fight. Aaron swung and slashed his knife at the remaining Aarons until he got a clearing and then he finally smashed the mirror. The mirror cracked, revealing the appearance of a doorknob through all the shards. Aaron grabbed the doorknob and pulled it forward, shattering the mirror all the way and obliterating all the Aarons one by one. 

Aaron flit through the door, escaping what could’ve been an existential nightmare of himself.

"You sure you want to do that?" said a voice that didn't belong to Laney. It was Lex, being trailed by Miles. Aaron puffed for a bit. It was refreshing to see them again but it was kind of annoying at the same time that the game tossed and turned them into different levels like romaine lettuce. It was almost as if relationships weren't meant to be built in this game.
"Good to see you, little sister," said Miles rather underwhelmingly, as he casually did a backflip. He too, like Laney, seemed to be taking advantage of the joyous buoyancy of space. "I'd knew you show up at some point. You never seem to quit do you?"
"And where would that have gotten you?" Laney said hotly.
"Fair enough."
Lex swam through the black space toward Aaron's vent. He seemed to be adorned in the same hesitancy that the other players had. The same fear.
"How certain can you be that this vent will take you where you want to go?" Lex asked.
"What do you mean?" Aaron asked. "I mean, shouldn't it? That's how they work."
"That's how they're supposed to work," Lex corrected him. "But that doesn't mean that's how they will work. There's a trick to this in-between place. Some type of caveat and unfortunately you were prone to being blind to it just a minute ago. Like so many of the other players."
"What's the trick then?"
"Observe," said Lex, in an unsettling placid way.
Not too far from them, there was a kid about their age and he had just discovered a vent near him. Out of anticipation, he quickly flung it open and as soon as he did, a ferocious flame devoured him, sucking him into the flare automatically. The fate of the kid had already been decided.
Aaron's heart began to pound. But there was a small heat in this one.
"What the-so you're saying some of these vents instantly teleport you into the sun as soon as you open them?"
"The game is good at hiding things like this. I'm glad I was the one to tell you before it was too late."
"I-I don't know what to say." Aaron sputtered.
"Whatever it is, it's better enunciated in a different vent. Maybe the green one over there."
"How can you be sure it's safe?" Miles asked, the telltale fear escaping through his chittering voice.
"I can't. But it's the only vent that's green in this whole area. Something tells me luck is on our side on this one."
The four players swam across to the green vent and tentatively pulled it out. No flame came this time but the mysterious gaping hole still couldn't be ignored. One by one they flung themselves into the vent, bracing for whatever awaited them on the other side.
Aaron fell into a room that appeared to be oddly reflective. A room bedecked with nothing but mirrors. Tall narrow mirrors that stretched its hands toward God. The room was unassumingly quiet, a tale that was pretty common when you're the only one standing in it.
There was a knife in the middle of this room. A straight narrow knife. Was Aaron supposed to pick it up? And even then, what would he do with it?
Before he went to grab it, the AIs voice revived itself.
'Welcome to level twenty-seven. May you conclude this level in peace."
Then something freaky happened afterward. The reflections of Aaron began to unglue themselves from the mirror and come to real life. Suddenly the knife didn't seem all that pointless anymore. Suddenly it felt like the game was whispering to him "Do or Die".
Aaron hastily barrelled the knife into his hand and then began to stab his clones in the chest. Their cardinal blood would seep through the crystal glass but then they'd find a way to vanish back into the mirror and then reanimate themselves back into the fight. It seemed that this hashing of clones would be endless and Aaron would die due to his lack of energy.
But then a lightbulb switched in his head. What if the main target wasn't the clones but the mirrors themselves? And most importantly, which one?
Aaron stabbed his way through a horde of clones until he found another crowd of Aarons just standing there, not even bothering to be affiliated in the fight. They were guarding something, and Aaron knew for a fact he needed to get past them to get to the mirror. But he couldn't just go at them, because they too had been carrying knives.
Aaron storked back to the center of the fight. This time more unarmed Aarons came at him but Aaron didn't slit their throats and try to prick them in the ribs. Instead, he marched ahead of them to the group of Aarons that were guarding the mirror. The Aarons stood guard ready to fight.
Aaron grinned. They couldn't fight the Aarons while wholeheartedly focused on him. They were partially distracted. And this made for an easy fight. Aaron swung and slashed his knife at the remaining Aarons until he got a clearing and then he finally smashed the mirror. The mirror cracked, revealing the appearance of a doorknob through all the shards. Aaron grabbed the doorknob and pulled it forward, shattering the mirror all the way and obliterating all the Aarons one by one.
Aaron flit through the door, escaping what could've been an existential nightmare of himself.
