This modern fantasy + rom-com story is set in Manila, Philippines but the characters and events are purely fictional. If you are a Filipino, you may relate to some or most of the scenes. If not, worry not! I will dedicate a chapter for the glossary so foreign readers won't be confused with the terms.

oliver is a seer, someone who can see others reflections in the black mirrors that now rule everyone's homes. when he tries to better everyone's lives and make justice through the streets, he might end up just getting his wish.

At the School of the Afterlife, mirrors had a special meaning; each mirror represented a person and hid a memory. The scene before him shocked Chen Ge. He had been at the school for so long and had not seen much mirrors. It turned out that all of them had been hidden there. "Mirrors represent memories, and memories hide one's secrets. The door pusher has been spying on everyone's past."
The door had the same color as the wall; they practically were one and the same. With the reports covering the outer wall, after the death of the door pusher, no one would expect such a room to exist behind the wall of shame.
"This door pusher had a unique hobby. The despair behind the door twisted him, or he gave up on himself and opened his arms to embrace the abyss." Chen Ge was curious about every door pusher, and the School of the Afterlife's door pusher was the only dead door pusher, so he was worth studying.
"Keep close to me." Chen Ge dragged Xu Yin into the hidden room.
"I'm not lying to you. This is the headmaster's office that you wished to come to. The door pusher is the school's owner, and this room is the most hidden room in the school." The doll argued for his innocence, but Chen Ge's attention was distracted by the things inside the room. He did not notice the doll's change. The room was not big. It had no windows, and the only point of connection to the outside world was the door.
"This is the most suffocating room I've ever been in." Bai Qiulin carried the mirror, but he did not follow Chen Ge. He only took a glance and shook his head. "Trapping oneself inside a room filled with mirrors, looking at one's reflection always, even a Specter would rarely decide to do something like that."
"Don't underestimate these mirrors." Chen Ge picked up the broken mirrors on the ground carefully. He held the piece before his eyes, but the reflection was not his own. The mirror was empty; it looked strange and rather pitiful. "The School of the Afterlife is different from other scenarios, and one of the reasons is the existence of these mirrors. Regardless, the secret behind them should be found in this room."
There was barely anywhere to stand in the room; the mirrors and their pieces overlapped over each other, reflecting one another. It was like the school's consciousness above their head, everyone's memory and consciousness overlapping together.
"I've led you to the headmaster's office, so that should prove to you my sincerity." The doll pulled on Chen Ge's clothes to have Chen Ge look at him.
"Hmm." That was Chen Ge's only reply. He was attracted by one of the mirrors in the corner of the room. Most of the mirrors in the room were broken, with irregular edges and blood or stain on their surfaces, but the mirror at the edge was perfectly preserved. It gave off a faded red light, and blood streamed down its surface like something was trying to come out.
"Whose mirror could this be? From the appearance, it looks like a girl's mirror. Could it be Chang Wenyu's?" Chen Ge was suddenly reminded of a problem. If there was a mirror that corresponded to every student in the school, was it possible that Zhang Ya's mirror was there as well?
Shaking his head, Chen Ge pushed this thought out of his mind. Zhang Ya had already killed the door pusher, so why would she leave her mirror behind? With that in mind, Chen Ge's curiosity grew. "Xu Yin, go and get that mirror."
Chen Ge caught the doll, afraid that this was part of his conspiracy. So, to be careful, he would not have the doll have any contact with anything in the room. Listening to Chen Ge's order, Xu Yin walked to the corner, but once he stepped on the mirrors on the ground, all the mirrors started to bleed. Cracks formed, and the mirrors were like mouths that opened up to consume Xu Yin.
"Come back!" Chen Ge yelled. Once Xu Yin stopped, the mirrors in the room slowly returned to normal. Chen Ge felt a tug on his shirt, he turned back to see a new line had appeared on the doll.
"Once you touch the mirrors, the school's consciousness will target you. What happened earlier was a warning."
"I can only look at them but not touch them?"
"Not really. The warning should only work on Red Specters. If it's just a normal lingering spirit, the reaction won't be so intense."
"What if it's a living person?" Chen Ge returned the doll to Xu Yin. "The door pusher and the school's consciousness would not have expected a living person to enter this room. When I picked up a broken mirror earlier, it did not react at all."
"I have no clue…"
Chen Ge stopped asking for the doll's opinion. With a careful step, he moved into the room. Like he expected, nothing changed.
"Xu Yin, guard right there, and don't move."
Moving slowly forward, Chen Ge was stepping on the pile of broken mirrors. "Sorry for the offense." Every mirror held a memory, so Chen Ge apologized in advance to make himself feel better. Lowering his head to look, this place was like a mirror cemetery.
"Only the mirror in the corner has blood flowing on its surface. Whose mirror could it be?" Chen Ge already possessed the painter's mirror, but that information came from a non-smiler, so it could not be trusted fully. Chen Ge could trip easily from the pieces underneath his feet. Being injured was a small thing; Chen Ge did not wish to break the mirrors. He slowly moved his body, and it took him a minute to reach the corner. He squatted down to study the mirror before him. This mirror was different from the others. When he saw the mirror, more blood appeared on the surface like this was not a mirror but a beating heart.
"There is something inside the mirror." Chen Ge used his Yin Yang Vision and realized that the mirror covered in blood was reflecting the room that he was in. Inside the enclosed place littered with broken mirrors, a man in a red shirt was squatting in the corner looking at a girl's mirror with extreme focus.
"Wait a minute! This scene is similar to what…" Chen Ge prepared to retreat when the man in the corner suddenly turned around. The man looked eighty percent like Chen Ge, and the scary thing was that his facial features were still changing, becoming more and more like Chen Ge's.
"A scapegoat?" Chen Ge was still moving back when the man in the mirror screamed. He pulled madly at his face, until he dug pieces of flesh out like the face represented extreme tragedy.
As the man in the mirror went mad, a loud voice came from outside the corridor. Then Chen Ge heard the old headmaster. "Chen Ge! Something is wrong with the school's consciousness! The eye is bleeding!"


The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor. 
At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. The call he was trying to make was finally answered. "Landlord, is this what you meant by 'the house can be a little crowded at night'‽"

The shuddering aura emanated from the center of the ancient city and permeated to every single corner, shrouding over every cultivator!
On the South city wall, many cultivators were about to charge up to kill the spirit tiger and monkey. However, they paused in their tracks all of a sudden.
On the East city wall, the young lady transformed from the little fox panted slightly.
The Golden Lion's massive figure fell to the corner of the wall, coughing out huge mouthfuls of blood with a tuckered expression.
Although it was a pure-blooded ferocious beast, it could not withstand the combined force of dozens of Glass Palace cultivators - it was severely injured the moment they clashed!
However, the dozens of cultivators did not continue in their pursuit.
Every single cultivator in the ancient city felt a chill down to their bones and turned around instinctively.
Nobody knew what would happen after two Demon Revealing Mirrors were knocked over.
All the cultivators wanted to know if the remaining two Demon Revealing Mirrors could support the Omnidirectional Demon Suppression Formation and continue locking the monster incarnate where he was!
Even the heartbeat of the Sealer, Elder Xiu, in midair skipped a beat.
At that moment, it seemed as though time had frozen.
One breath.
Two breaths…
Su Zimo was still motionless where he was.
Although there were two Demon Revealing Mirrors missing, the runes of the Omnidirectional Demon Suppression Formation were still present and hovered above Su Zimo's head with a firm lock!
Elder Xiu was the first to react as he yelled, "Everyone, don't panic! The runes of the formation are still present and that beast can't break free! The rest of you, head over to guard the Demon Revealing Mirrors on the West and North city walls!"
"Nothing must happen to the two Demon Revealing Mirrors!"
Elder Xiu bolted towards the West city wall as he spoke.
"Fufufufu!"
Suddenly, Su Zimo laughed from the middle of the formation in the ancient city in an unsettling manner.
Elder Xiu was not wrong.
Su Zimo was still unable to break free after two Demon Revealing Mirrors were knocked over.
However, it was also logical that the strength of the Omnidirectional Demon Suppression Formation would diminish after two columns of light were gone.
With the diminished strength of the formation, another power within Su Zimo's body had already been unsealed!
Turning around, Su Zimo glared at the back of Elder Xiu coldly.
Elder Xiu who was in midair suddenly frowned.
He could vaguely sense that someone was glaring at him from the back; it was like a piercing light.
Immediately after, he felt an extreme sense of danger surging from the depths of his heart!
It was an extremely uncomfortable feeling.
Elder Xiu turned around.
Immediately, his eyes were widened with fear in them, as though he had just witnessed an incomparably horrifying scene!
In the middle of the ancient city, a white light was bouncing in Su Zimo's right eye, intensifying and turning brighter!
"Visual technique?"
Elder Xiu could not react from his stupor in time.
A bedazzling beam of light shot forth from Su Zimo's right eye, illuminating the entire world like day as though it was a blazing sun!
Illumination Eye!
The first power to break free after two Demon Revealing Mirrors were knocked over was the Illumination Eye!
Illumination Eye was cultivated through gazing at the blazing sun day and night.
In reality, it had already transcended beyond the power of Inner Core and was almost on the same level as the Heaven and Earth powers.
In other words, the power of Illumination Eye was a type of Dharmic power!
Boom!
An incomparably brilliant beam of light shot forth and penetrated the void, almost crossing half the ancient city as it pierced Elder Xiu's abdomen!
The world seemed to have gone still.
Instantly, the darkness in the ancient city was purged away by the beam of light.
A gigantic hollow wound appeared on Elder Xiu's abdomen and his body was almost snapped.
In fact, there was no trace of blood around the wound - everything was scorched into ash by the power of Illumination Eye and it was terrifying!
The beam of light did not strike Elder Xiu at his vitals.
However, all life had been wiped away from Elder Xiu at that moment.
Illumination Eye had already burned away every single bit of life in his organs!
In reality, that body was already a corpse at that moment!
The only reason why he did not fall immediately was the presence of his Essence Spirit.
Unfortunately, he was almost at the end of his lifespan to begin with and his Essence Spirit was extremely weak. Even if it could break free from the shell of his body, it would not last for more than three breaths!
The murderous intent that shrouded the ancient city alone was more than enough to destroy his extremely fragile Essence Spirit!
Elder Xiu's dimmed and he no longer had any hopes left.
His death was certain and he did not have any regrets.
His true concern was that the Omnidirectional Demon Suppression Formation was most likely unable to hold down the monster incarnate any longer!

Eventually, the beam of light from Illumination Eye struck the Demon Revealing Mirror and knocked it onto the ground.
Another column of light from the Demon Revealing Mirror disappeared from Su Zimo.
Night loomed down once more.
At the same time, a dark fog enveloped everyone's minds.
Although the Omnidirectional Demon Suppression Formation was still present, the runes surrounding it had faded considerably.
"All Glass Palace cultivators, listen up! Hurry and leave this place, escape as far as you can!"
Elder Xiu exhausted the final bit of his strength and bellowed.
Immediately after, Elder Xiu's glabella shone and a black mountain peak the size of a thumb appeared in midair.
Dharmic power fluctuated right after.
The black mountain peak expanded rapidly with the wind and blanketed Su Zimo's head with a large shadow before crushing down!
Elder Xiu knew that he was dead for sure and this was the final thing he could do.
It would be for the best if he could kill Su Zimo on the spot.
If not, he would still make his death worthwhile if he could buy enough time for the remaining Glass Palace cultivators to escape.
"Ah!"
The moment he knew that monkey and the spirit tiger had attacked the city, Su Zimo was already fuming with rage.
Now that three Demon Revealing Mirrors had been knocked off and the pressure on him was relieved considerably, he could not help but rear his head and release a deafening roar filled with killing intent!
The final Demon Revealing Mirror that was remaining and the Omnidirectional Demon Suppression Formation could no longer seal his Inner Core!
Su Zimo's eyes shone brightly, dark as ink, and his black hair swayed in the air.
Blood qi surged in his body while his Inner Core circulated wildly, releasing a scarlet demonic qi around him - his body was expanding at a rapid pace!
Crackle!
Pang! Pang! Pang!
Su Zimo's tendons and bones sounded at the same time as he flesh expanded.
Right in front of everyone, that body that was around seven feet tall instantly grew to more than a hundred feet - he was like a towering ancient fiendcelestial with a torrential ferocity!
Many cultivators on the city walls were already scared out of their wits.
Right in front of them, the massive figure grew to a height that was even taller than the city walls!
What happened was way too shocking!
Like a demon king and divine being, that figure seemed like it could crush and destroy everything in its path!

The collision between metal and the energy attacks rocks the arena continuously as the participants begin to get riled up by the rather intensifying stakes of the match.
Dan uses the clash as a distraction to move in on Mira's position with the latter seemingly oblivious to that fact as she concentrated on taking out the blades heading towards her.
Dan quickly circled around her with his eyes on the prize but before he could get close a massive beam shoots from the sky and blows up the earth in front of him sending the latter crashing back due to the blast.
Dan turns his attention to the sky to find six distinct mirrors aimed at him.
"I guess she is better than I thought."
Dan thinks to himself with a smirk.
"I'm not like the other fighters you have faced before now. I will not be losing this round."
Mira remarks as she turned all her mirrors in Dan's direction seeing as she had taken care of all the knives shot towards her.
"That is very good."
Dan remarks while nodding his head as he got to his feet.
"Your offense is quite formidable. But then, what about your defense??"
Dan asks as he snaps his fingers after which all the knives that Mira had shot down began to rise up again, floating in mid air due to Dan's manipulation.
"Tch, seriously…"
Mira clicks her tongue as she realizes that she was completely surrounded by the knives.
"How do you plan on evading this??"
Dan asks as he goes on one knee.
"By taking out the source of the attack before he strikes."
Mira remarks as she quickly tries to blast Dan away but then….
"No, you go on the defense."
Dan retorts as he snaps his fingers and the knives immediately shoot towards Mira at supersonic speeds.
"Oh shit."
Mira quickly bends low with her mirrors coming around her to from a protective dome.
The knives smash at the mirrors and the barrage of blades continue with no end in sight.
"Shit he has got Mira pinned down."
Killian thinks to himself as he watched the match with a worried look on his face.
"How do you plan on getting out of this??"
Dan asks as he watched the mirror dome crack under pressure from the incessant knives attacks.
"I can't let him beat me. He has got me pinned just like that crazy girl in the last round. Unfortunately unlike the crazy girl, he doesn't seem to be planning on falling unconscious anytime soon. I need to fight back."
Mira mutters to herself as she tried to keep her mirror wall cohesive so as to prevent any knives from getting through.
"Fine then, I'll do that."
Mira remarks as an idea comes to mind.
"Hopefully it works."
Mira mutters as she slams her palms on the ground.
"Mirāāto : Rifurekushon ( Mirror art : Reflection )."
Mira says.
Just then, the rays of the sun falls heavily on the mirrors surrounding Mira causing Dan to put up a brow.
"Hmm, what's going on??"
Dan thinks to himself as he noticed the rays falling heavily on the mirrors.
Soon after the rays of light are reflected back out twice as strong in an omni directional wave of light that caused everyone in the arena to cover their eyes due to the intense brightness.
Dan is cut off guard by the exceedingly bright glow causing him to release his technique with the knives after which all the knives falls to the ground.
"Shit, what the hell is that??"
Dan thinks to himself as the continues to obscure visibility.
"Nice, it worked. He isn't attacking anymore. Now…."
Mira trails off as she quickly moves in Dan's direction with her mirrors around her.
"I can't see anything."
Dan mutters to himself as he staggered back.
Mira comes within meters of him and places a mirror on his chest after which she yelled in a loud voice.
"Mirāburasuto ( mirror blast )."
The mirror placed on Dan's chest pulses incredibly after which a powerful beam is shot out of it.
The beam slams straight into Dan and sends him flying all the way back into the arena wall, causing a huge explosion that rocked the entire combat arena on impact.
The reflected light soon dims with the spectators looking down to behold a rather wondrous scenery.
The attack Mira had used on Dan had carved up a part of the earth on it's path.

"Yes. That's my girl."
Killian celebrates mentally with a smile forming on his face.
"A rather amazing strategy. She used the reflected light to blind her opponent and used that to land a decisive hit."
Jeroam remarks while nodding his head.
"This is looking to be a rather wonderful affair between fighters."
Roman remarks while nodding his head.

Mira was watching the area Dam had crashed through with a keen eye.
"If Killian is right about his assessment regarding this guy then that means that attack wouldn't have taken him out completely. I need to stay on guard."
Mira thinks to herself.
"Damn… that one did a number on me. I don't think I'd be able to withstand one of those."
Dan mutters to himself as he stared at Mira standing at the middle of the arena with her mirrors faced in his direction.
"She broke the metal plating I was using. I even sustained considerable damage."
Dan remarks as he inspected his body while still stuck in the wall.
"Do you plan on mumbling to yourself all day or are you coming out of there to finish this match."
Mira yells out in a provocative manner.
"Hmm." Dan squints his eyes as he struggled to pull himself out of the Raza sized crater he had created with his body.
"I need to take him out before he steadies himself."
Mira thinks to herself as she quickly dashes forward.
"Tch, not even giving me a chance to recover properly." 
Dan mutters as he sights the incoming Mira.
Mira quickly fires a barrage of beams at Dan's location with the latter moving out of the way to avoid the blast.
"I can't just stand on ceremony and wait for her to blast me to oblivion."
Dan mutters as he slams his palms together and forms a sword between them after which he dashes forward.
"I can take him."
Mira remarks as she stops in her tracks and forms a gun with her fingers after which she makes a shooting gesture with all mirrors around her firing at Dan at a rapid rate.
"Tch."
Dan quickly moves to the right to avoid the barrage and began to circle around Mira with the latter following after him with her continuous assault.

"She is actually pressing Dan back."
Ilara remarks vaguely astonished by the match happening below.
"I told you not to put Mira aside. She maybe be rather annoying at times but that doesn't stop the fact that she has been training for this for a while now. She isn't a pushover."
Okoye remarks with Sai scoffing at her words.
"What is it??.. Do you still think Mira is a pushover??"
Okoye asks.
"Oh please, it's clear to see that she is scared."
Sai remarks while rolling his eyes.
"Huh… Scared??... That's not true."
Okoye retorts as she alternated her gaze between Sai and Mira.
"Look at her. She is scared that if she lets up for even a second, Dan would take advantage of that window. It would seem she and Killian have analyzed Dan well enough to understand how he fights."
Sai remarks.
"Hmm." Okoye doesn't reply as she turns her attention back to the match below.

Mira doesn't let up in her assault as she continually blasts Dan with the latter narrowly avoiding the incessant attacks as he looked for an opening.
Dan pauses for a brief moment and hurls his sword towards Mira with immense force. Mira doesn't let up as she casually shoots the sword down.
Dan uses the blade as a distraction as he quickly flicked his finger with all the knives scattered around the arena floating into the air.
"Trying to repeat the same trick again won't work."
Mira remarks as she releases her fingers and crosses her hands with her mirrors forming a circular covering around her.
"I know how you fight. You don't know how I fight. This match is mine."
Mira remarks in a menacing tone as she bends low and slams her palms into the earth after which all the mirrors light up and begin to fire in every which way around the arena.
"Let me see you dodge this."
Mira mutters to herself.
"Hmm."
Dan puts up his palm and an iron shield quickly forms in front of him though it was not fast enough to block all the beams that moved in his direction with some of them burning his sides. 


A twist of fate or more like an unexpected turn of events send four individuals on a journey across the realms of Ra'as, a world of superpowers and extraordinary individuals. 

An adventure that will put them against powerful foes and will enable them uncover the secrets behind the real origins of their world is about to begin.

Unknown to our protagonists though is the fact that the threat of war looms over the Planet Ra'as with several factions getting into a struggle for the possession of the omnipotent device known as the Spirit orbs.

As soon as Aarvi heard Zain who usually stays silent every time over her missions, and her team member's panicked voice uttered Leon's active changing positions, she knew she was in danger. 
Aarvi could hear the quick breaths of many over the call who wanted nothing but her safety. 
Life sure is weird. She was naive and simple, she got the people who didn't care about her. Now, all of them know she is sinister yet they wanted to see her safe.
Her team members were also amazed by looking at Leon who seemed like he was going crazy and was actually so smart to find the trick when they felt their eyes still swirl at the mirrors. Now they understand why Aarvi keeps her guards so high when they are against Leon Harmon.
Instead of doing what others were expecting, Aarvi chuckled, "Catch me if you can." She provoked Leon and walked to the center of the hall as though she was walking on a ramp. 
Her confidence and composure didn't waver a bit.
While playing Leon, Aarvi purposefully didn't step in the center spot of the hall of mirrors. The mirrors in the center could create the most distorting reflection.
Zain let out a light chuckle calming his nerves when Leon ran into the mirror wall. 
'Ugh, it must have hurt terribly.' Many thought when Leon was seeing stars above his head stumbling on his feet to balance himself.
Zain realized his over-smart Pumpkin was purposefully going clock and anticlockwise in the hall hence Leon only knew B and C passageways whereas Leon didn't know the reflection angles changed once she entered the center of the hall.
Leon didn't give up and tried to focus. But before he could pass a passageway, one last time Aarvi slammed the iron rod on his stomach and lurked behind the mirrors.
Leon crouched as he held his perfectly sculpted abs on his shirt and let out a groan in agony. The pain was excruciating so he could guess the force she used, nevertheless, he also knew it wasn't even ten percent of the pain Ava Kelly went through.
'My Pumpkin is savage.' Zain could make out she vented a little of her irritation.
She announced tossing the iron rod, "It's my game, Leon Harmon and you lost." Her win wasn't important unless he lost it.
She effortlessly exited the storage room ticking her checklist.
Confirming Leon about her existence - Check.
Playing Leon's mind - Check.
Making him face the failure - Check.
Inflict some pain - Check.

Leon felt the iron pole roll over next to his feet. Breathing uncomfortable, he grabbed it and hit the mirror wall. Leon noticed the light entering while she was stepping out, "Ava Kelly…" 
'Tal ~sh' Added with his words, the mirror broke and collapsed on the floor.
Aarvi's team members gasped because one needs to use a lot of strength to break that mirror wall.
Leon who felt each step unbearable bumped into the mirror so he started breaking each mirror that came in his way.
Some sharp pieces cut his shirt and some pierced his skin but he walked like they weren't painful.
How can he feel the physical pain when 'Ava Kelly' ignited the fire in him that was flaming him?

Aarvi who exited the hall of mirrors started seeing herself everywhere. Her mind wasn't adjusting to normal and her dizziness was making her sickly.
[Pumpkin?]
[Boss?]
"Ms. Evans, shall we help you?" Alex asked, seeing her lean on the wall, shaking her head.
Aarvi knew she needed rest else it would be hard to recover from the images of her moving between mirrors. She long back knew the effects of playing in the hall of mirrors but she didn't expect them to be so hard.
Waving her hand off, "I am alright." She responded to all.
She didn't give in to her frailty. If she could manage inside for so long, she didn't want to fall weak after it. 
If Leon had followed her out, wouldn't she have tried to escape him? So why not a few more minutes?
Holding the wall for support, she walked frowning her brows, blinking her eyes to get adjusted out of the mirror room.
[Pumpkin, you need to rest.] Zain plainly said.
He knew she hadn't slept half of the night, her vigorous demanding brain workout made her body vulnerable. He didn't know if he should scold her for pushing herself inside the hall so much or be proud of her.
Aarvi hummed with a smile on her face. Zain always watches in silence and hangs up the call, to wait for her call after she settles down, it was the first time he couldn't hold himself but speak.
Exiting the lobby, Aarvi felt her head spin due to loud music in the hall. The music had started for the entry of Sean and Sara and colorful lights hurt her strained eyes.
The typical Sean's style, loud and flamboyant.
From her position, she could see Sean dancing to the music and enjoying it with his friends. Although one could easily say he is still young looking at his yet to be matured face, he gave justice to the three-piece suit he was wearing.
Instead of suaveness, he was dashing in the formal grey suit that perfectly fitted his slim physique. He had matched with a white shirt that supported his black plain tie. Wrapped in the double-breasted vest and blazer, he did look like the youngest handsome groom of Mocon.
Many in the hall still couldn't believe the spoiled prince of the Mocon is getting married at such a young age. Disbelief was written on many girls' faces while they stared at a lady who gracefully danced to the music.
Sara Dawson was really cute by appearance. In the insanely inexpensive gorgeous grey color couture gown, she didn't fail to garner the eyes of most of the people in the hall. Not everyone was interested in her but in her dress.
Sara was wearing the off-the-shoulder gown that had a dramatic huge tulle flower at her waist with a cloth falling like spiral leaves. One side of her shoulder was designed like a flower petal giving a dreamy look to her small face.
The specialty of the dress was, it had used the real gemstone red zircon all over the dress. The gemstone was designed like a red flower for the new beginning and the embroidery of leaves held the diamonds to indicate happy life. 
Aarvi had heard the dress itself cost a few million excluding the Zircon diamond choker and earring.
Aarvi realized why Sean was in a formal suit. It was obvious Sara made him wear the suit of her choice.
Nonetheless, Aarvi was neither entertained by what she glanced at nor by the hyped-up vibe of the hall. She craved for, "Aaron." She mumbled, taking a step back due to a throbbing headache and dizziness. 
She wanted to ask Alex for her wallet to fetch her mobile or ask her team to connect Aaron to the call. Before she could utter a word, a dark olive green blazer hung on her bare shoulders and an arm securely wrapped around her from behind leaning her on him.
Aarvi smiled knowing Aaron was still waiting for her. She was content for having him right behind her to lean on, just like every time.
Breathing out slowly, she turned to him and softly stated, "Let me look at you and cure my dizziness."
Zain, her team, and the Shadow team: "..."
One by one all hung up the call before she could shove more dog food.

‘This cruel world is not for innocents.’ She had to learn it forcefully laying on the deathbed wishing to leave the world forever.

But fate plays cruelly.

Now she is back to the same world to stand strong and smile at the evil.

Excerpt:

Aarvi Evans typed a message shamelessly on her mobile, [I need a kiss.] Her lips tugged to a rare mischievous curve clicking on the send button.

It wasn’t even fifteen minutes, her mobile went off. She walked out of the private room of the restaurant and answered the call, “Hel…”

She was suddenly yanked to the opposite private room. Before she could absorb the situation, the door was shut, she was pinned to the wall and a pair of thin soft lips pressed on her forehead calming her nerves.

‘How naive!’ She hadn’t thought he would actually ignore his client just to give her a kiss.

A kiss!

Aaron Rivas would have called her naive if he could hear her thoughts. The next second, Aarvi’s petite face was showered with gentle pecks without leaving an inch unattended.

Aaron paused and said, “Cupcake! you hadn’t mentioned where you needed the kiss.”

He didn't let her react and locked her lips.

Raia felt a prickling sensation on her forehead as soon as she stepped inside the house. Others seemed to have experienced it too by the way the last two people who entered before her—Dean and Lester—were unconsciously touching the center of their brows. No one was speaking about it so maybe they'd already dismissed it as something unimportant. 
 She couldn't blame them. The welcoming ambience of the interiors was distracting. It smelled of aged wood and floor wax. Everything was clean and impeccably arranged, the polished floors would've passed as mirrors themselves. One could stand in the doorway and get a clear view of every essential facility in the first floor. 
 White curtains hung over the two huge jalousie windows in the living room, their fabric was thin enough to allow a good amount of sunlight to stream through. The set of furnitures were pretty basic, but that only made the entire space seem completely breathable and relaxing.
 Her heart leaped as the door closed behind her like a thunderclap. For a moment, she felt as though she'd left a piece of her outside.
 "Mister Rudy's wife will be here in a few minutes to prepare our dinner," Sarah said, referring to the old man from earlier. "You guys want to go upstairs now? I'll show you the rooms." She motioned to the curved wooden staircase beside the hallway connected to the dining room.
 "You girls just leave your bags here. We'll take care of them," Dean offered, from which Michael had grumbled, "Wait dude, we will?" 
 They all shuffled their feet, dragging their travel bags and suitcases near the foot of the stairs, their wheels skidding across the wooden floor.
 A crease formed between Raia's eyebrows. Her shoulder bag was one thing, since she'd been carrying it with her the whole time, but how come she couldn't remember bringing her suitcase in? Come to think of it, she couldn't recall the others walking through the door holding their bigger bags either—just the ones already strapped around their bodies.
 Did the caretaker bring the rest of their luggage in all on his own? But she didn't see him. And it was as if these bags had magically appeared under their grasp. 
 "Oh thank you guys," Rachel and Trisha said at the same time and they both giggled.
 Raia ran a hand across the side of her neck, confused, but she still scooched her suitcase next to the others. She stepped away and threw a befuddled gaze at the door. Just how exhausted was she?
 "Rai, let's go upstairs. Let's leave the boys here." Trisha called out, waving a hand in the air.
 "Since when did the girls lose their two hands?" Michael muttered in sarcasm as she walked past them. 
 Lester slapped Michael's arm. "Stop whining like a babe, Micks. Carrying bags won't kill you." He bent over to grasp the handle of the two biggest suitcases, and Raia failed to resist feasting her eyes on those biceps.
 "Dude, my back will."
 "How old are you?" Lester looked up, scrunching up his face. He caught her staring at him and her cheeks burned hot in an instant. She looked away and hastened toward the stairs. Her heart raced like crazy as she made it upstairs. She seriously needed to learn how to control her reactions, otherwise, one of these days, people would figure out her silly crush on Lester.
 And that would be freakin' awkward for sure.
 A long narrow hallway greeted them upstairs, floorboards squeaking underfoot. Raia's eyes widened in astonishment. Sarah's grandmother surely had some sick fetish here. Rows of mirrors hung on either walls, all in various shapes and frame designs. There were flat and concave ones, and most of them were retro style. 
 "Is your grandmother a collector? I feel like I'm in an art gallery or something." Rachel said with amusement. 
 "No offense, Sarah, but this kinda creeps me out." Trisha wasn't wrong about that, considering the goosebumps racing up Raia's arms. These mirrors felt like they were trying to steal a chunk of her soul.
 "Oh it's fine." Sarah waved her hand dismissively and leaned against the unoccupied portion of the wall. Rachel and Trisha went ahead and examined the mirrors closely as if they were precious artifacts.
 Raia wouldn't touch any of them.
 "It's her obsession, back when she was still normal," Sarah added.
 "Normal, huh?" She winced as her gaze swept around the hallway. "I surely wouldn't want to meet her other version." 
 Sarah stepped toward her and patted her on the shoulder. "Raia dear… you actually remind me of her sometimes." 
 Raia glared at her and Sarah chuckled before ushering them into their rooms. 
 Raia was relieved the room assigned to her hadn't been turned into a mirror museum. She expected she'd be getting a smaller one, but this was surprisingly spacious. The cream-colored canopy bed situated in the middle could easily fit two people. Thank God there were three pillows on it. Anything less and she wouldn't be able to sleep. 
 A tall hardwood cabinet stood next to the doorway, and close to the window was a round table with two wooden chairs. A fan was mounted to the wall opposite the bed and under it was a vintage-looking dresser with an adorable stool shaped like a marshmallow. A white cloth shrouded the dresser's mirror which she would've yanked off if she wasn't already sick of seeing mirrors. 
 She walked over to the open window, warm and fresh afternoon wind pouring through the gaps of the black curved grill. Her fingers ran along the edge of the windowsill, its wooden surface wide enough to be sat on. She could get a partial view of the backyard from up here, spotting a fish net hammock hanging under a massive tree. 
 "Are we really gonna do this now, Babe? We might miss dinner." 
 Raia froze at the clear sound of Trisha's voice as if she was just standing behind her. 
 "A quickie, then?" That was Lester. What the heck? Smooches and giggles filled her ears and she turned, grimacing at the wall separating her room from Lester and Trisha's. How thin is this wall?
 She was about to knock on the wall to check its integrity, but Trisha's loud moan made her stop. 
 "Please tell me this isn't what I'm gonna hear during our entire stay here," she muttered, pursing her lips.
 "Ohh, Babe…"
 "Oh for God's sake!" She threw her hands up and before she could turn her back, she glimpsed traces of figures moving underneath the cloth covering the dresser mirror.

In the late 1990s, a group of spiritual dimension explorers attempted to access the Akashic Plane, the place where all thoughts and events of reality are recorded: past, present, and future. Something went terribly wrong with their quest and they were pulled deeper into the Dark Plane. They had been trapped, bound to the worst demon of all. Now the next generation must find a way to liberate their guild from the eternal curse. Even if it means sacrifices and tragedies in exchange for finding the true Soulbound Breaker.
