Chapter Nineteen: Duel

Bellatrix is going to kill me, Narcissa wants to marry me, Bellatrix needs me to marry her, and the woman I have feelings for feels the same way...I must be cursed.

Lucius Malfoy came back to Malfoy Manor in a foul mood. The Dark Lord had instructed every Death Eater to hunt for Bellatrix after the corpse of Rodolphus was found. But no one knew where to find her. Lucius had went to the safehouses he knew of, no one had there had seen a trace of her. So finding a notice from Gringotts on his desk was not going to improve his mood. He quickly opened it;

Lucius Malfoy,

This is to inform you that due to complaints of neglect at your hands, the Lord of House Black has seen fit to annul your marriage to Narcissa Malfoy and bring her back into the Black family. As a result of that annulment, the following bride price has been removed from your account and placed back into the account of House Black:

Lucius cursed then crumpling the paper up and throwing it away from him. Potter...he's responsible for this. That bitch went to him with a sob story and now I've lost 10,000 galleons. I'll kill them both. Wait a moment, I know exactly what to do. Reaching for a piece of parchment Lucius began to write, an evil grin coming to his lips.

It was quiet at Grimmauld Place. Harry and Bellatrix were still in bed, upstairs. In the study, Narcissa was making a list of the things she wanted Harry to learn. He'll need to know the current heads of House that make up the leadership in the Wizengamot. I'll also have to teach him how to curry favor with those heads. She was engrossed in her work until she heard a faint pop beside her. A small black envelope appeared on the table, addressed to Harry Potter, current Lord of Houses Black and Potter.

This is a challenge to duel. I know that handwriting, that's Lucius's handwriting. He must have found out about the annulment today...

Harry and Bellatrix were just starting to awaken when there was a knock at the door. "Come in Cissy, you're the only person here." Bellatrix called out. Narcissa entered looking pale, she handed Harry the black envelope.

Confused, Harry opened it. Suddenly they heard the voice of Lucius Malfoy.

Lord Potter-Black,

You have slandered me and taken from me that which is my own. To that end I formally challenge you to a duel to the death. If you refuse, then your title, wealth, and magic are forfeit. This letter will act as a portkey to take you to the Ministry's official dueling site and will activate in two hours. Please bring your second, my son will serve as mine. Should I be incapacitated before the start of our duel, he will act in my stead.

Lucius Abraxus Malfoy

Harry looked to Narcissa, "Did you know this would happen?"

"I didn't think he would do this." Narcissa began, Bellatrix scoffed.

"Come off it Cissy, you know as well as I do. Lucius is a spoiled little boy and you were his toy. Now his toy was taken away and he's throwing a tantrum."

"A tantrum that could result in my death." Harry said morosely. "I need a second, I'd better speak with Tonks."

"Tonks? Harry I could duel circles around Malfoy."

"You could Bellatrix, but you are a wanted woman. If you could with me as my second you'd be either in Azkaban or Kissed before you could get a word out." Harry pointed out.

"What about if I came as Josephine?"

"The Ministry has wards in place that prevent Glamours. He's probably trying to lure you out as well. We both did the same thing; annulled our marriages and took back our bride price." Narcissa said, "Nymphadora will be the best choice for a second, she is a trained duelist."

Harry nodded, "Alright Narcissa, if you'll let me get dressed I'll be out shortly." She left the room leaving Harry and Bellatrix to rise and get dressed.

Bellatrix looked to Harry, "Please be careful, he's an idiot, but he's sneaky. He will try to cheat." She said softly, Harry took her hand.

"I'll be as careful as I can. But if it's a duel to the death, Lucius Malfoy won't let me take it easy."

Tonks rushed over once Harry called her on the floo.

"You want me to be your second? Why?"

"Well," He began "Narcissa can't do it, her son is the second and if something happened, I don't want his death at her hand. Josephine isn't a duelist. I need you."

"Alright then." She said softly after a moment, "How much longer?"

"The portkey will activate in five minutes." Narcissa said quietly. Harry crossed over to her and took her hands in his own, "I swear on my magic, I'll do my best to not hurt Draco."

Narcissa nodded, "May I come with you?"

"Of course." Harry said simply, then went to Bellatrix, "I'll be home soon, we can get some pizza for lunch." Bellatrix smiled sadly and drew him into an embrace, kissing him. "Please be careful..come back to me in one piece."

Harry turned to Tonks and Narcissa and took their hands. The portkey activated and then they were gone.

Arriving at the Ministry, they found Lucius and Draco standing in the center of a practice square. "This is normally where Aurors are trained in combat magic." Tonks said quietly. The Malfoys turned to face the newcomers.

"Potter. I take it, this, is your second?" Lucius spat.

"She is."

"Our judge will be here momentarily, we want to make sure things are on the level after all." There was a faint crack and a man Harry had never seen before appeared. "Ah, Pius, so good to see you." Lucius smiled, the grin not reaching his eyes.

"Alright Gentlemen. Let's begin, this is a duel to the death. Because of that, all spells are allowed, including unforgiveables. Go out to the ring, bow and then when you hear the sound, begin." The man Lucius had referred to as Pius stated. Narcissa took a spot in the center near him while Harry and Tonks stood at the eastern corner of the ring. Lucius walked out into the center and Harry did the same.

"Ready to die boy?" Lucius sneered. "I will have what is mine returned to me. Narcissa will have to play dearly for her betrayal, but I'll think of something she can do to repay me."

Harry didn't speak. Instead, he bowed stiffly, his eyes never leaving the elder Malfoys.

There was a loud CRACK from Pius Thicknesses wand and the pair began to duel.

CONFRINGO! Lucius shouted, the ground at Harry's feet exploded, luckily Harry had jumped away just as the spell landed. Harry twisted and cast his own spell.

REDUCTO! Harry cast, ducking around a bone crushing hex cast by Lucius.

PROTEGO! Lucius brought up a shield charm. Harry rushed towards him this time, casting the jelly leg hex.

It continued. Damn.. Lucius though spitting a bit of blood on the ground from where he'd been hit by the edge of a curse, The boy is better than I thought..I'll have to end this quickly.

VENENUM SANGUINE! EXPELLIARMUS! The spells hit at the same time. Lucius Malfoy was thrown back, his head striking a pillar with a sickening thump. Harry took the curse in the chest and went down in a crumpled heap. "HARRY, NO!" cried Narcissa and Tonks respectively, each racing to his side. Pius and Draco went to check on Lucius. "Lucius Malfoy is dead. Harry Potter, while greviously injured is still alive, so I declare him the winner. House Malfoys fortune and property will be transferred to House Potter-Black!" Pius declared, Draco stormed away How dare Mother side with Potter. I'll have Professor Snape take me to see the Dark Lord, he'll help me take back my familys name. At least it looks like Potter is dead...

Narcissa looked at Harry, he was pale, his veins appearing black against his skin. "I have to get him back to Grimmauld Place." "We have to take him to St. Mungos." "We can't. This isn't a common spell. Lucius used a blood poisonin hex. There's a ritual room at Grimmauld Place, I can perform the ritual to draw the curse back out of him there."

Narcissa took Harrys hand and began to apparate but was stopped by Tonks. "I'm coming with you." "I need your oath not to reveal anything you see." Narcissa hissed, "I can't wait. Do it now, or let go of us." Tonks quickly gave the oath, Narcissa took her hand and the pair apparated with Harry back to Grimmauld Place.

When they arrived Tonks saw why she had to give an oath. Bellatrix LeStrange was standing in front of her.

Chapter 13: Shields and Spirits.

It had been early afternoon by the time Harry had received the note from Dumbledore. He had spent quite a long time in the room with the twins.

When he finally entered the common room he was greeted by the sight of a thoroughly annoyed looking Ron.

"And where the bloody hell have you been all day?" He demanded, sounding annoyed.

"A few places." Answered Harry cryptically.

"And what The ruddy hell is that supposed to mean?"

"I ate breakfast while you were asleep and spent the rest of the day with your brothers."

"My condolences." Said Ron with a smirk, seemingly comforted by the confirmation he had not been ditched.

As the two boys killed time playing chess and exploding snap in the Gryffindor tower, a young, tall blonde girl made her way around the grounds lost in thought at what she had learned. Well, more like what she had confirmed.

Harry Potter had clearly not had an easy life as she had suspected. And if he thought that slander was "nothing" she was beginning to question how difficult that life had been.

But how could she find out?

She suspected that he may tell her eventually, but she got the feeling that even his friends did not know everything, and they had known him for several years at least. She simply shook her head, trying to come up with a plan.

Even if they did not work out together, she wanted to help him. She saw it as her duty. Her mate needed her, and she would do everything she could to help him. Anything else was simply gravy.

As she walked, she pondered her limited memories with Harry, in particular, since arriving at the ancient castle. She froze in midstep, a dumbstruck look on her face. She did have a way of learning more about Harry Potter, or at least she hoped she did.

It may take patience, but she was sure that, if her suspicions were correct, she could learn quite a lot quite quickly.

It was five minutes to eight when Harry began his pacing back and forward in front of what seemed to be a blank stretch of wall on the seventh floor.

After the third time however, anyone of that belief would have been shocked to see the door that had seemingly appeared out of thin air.

Harry hesitated, he would knock but he was unsure if Dumbledore would even hear it. Tentatively, he knocked anyway, and was partially surprised when he heard the headmaster's voice call out.

"Enter."

Harry pushed open the door and stepped inside. He was dressed in his Gryffindor Quidditch robes, seeing as they were the closest thing he had to athletic clothing.

Dumbledore on the other hand, was dressed as eccentrically as ever in robes of a deep red, trimmed in gold.

"Ah, Harry, good, I was hopeful you would come but one can never be sure."

Two chairs appeared out of thin air, as did a desk. Harry was impressed at the ease in which Dumbledore commanded the room.

Harry took the seat across from Dumbledore and spoke.

"You said we're going to cover combat magic tonight sir?"

"Oh yes." Said Dumbledore cheerfully. "Tonight we begin what I hope to be the long road to our ultimate victory over Lord Voldemort, though I warn you, Harry, I suspect it to be a very long and potentially painful road."

Harry nodded.

"I have not completely decided all that I wish to teach you." Admitted Dumbledore. "Though, the adequate ability to defend yourself seems like a rather good start does it not?"

Harry nodded, thinking of how the blasting curse sent by Nott had blasted through his Protego shield.

"Tonight Harry, we will cover four shields. I do not expect you to be a master of all four by the end of the night. I would be very pleased with the ability to cast three of the four, even if it can not be done on a consistent basis. Though I will expect progress to be made between this session and our next, and I will most certainly check. Does this sound acceptable?"

Harry nodded for the third time, fingering his wand, he was rather eager to start.

"In that case," said Dumbledore, as he swept to his feet and gestured for Harry to do the same, vanishing the desk and chairs with a swish of his wand as the teen stood to join him. "Let us begin. Is it safe to presume that you are familiar with, and capable of a passable Protego shield charm?"

"Yes sir." Answered Harry.

"Show me please Harry, if you do not mind."

Harry raised his wand and made to speak but Dumbledore stopped him.

"For spells you already know, I think it would be best if you cast non verbally. When learning new spells, verbal casting will be more than acceptable, but I think it is best if we drill the impulse to cast without speaking. Any edge you can gain, no matter how slim can mean life or death in a true blood duel."

Harry nodded and focused. A second later he felt the invisible shield raise up, evidently Dumbledore did as well as he began casting several charms.

They did not impact Harry's shield, and he figured they were diagnostic spells. He then nodded, seeming satisfied and took aim with his wand, sending a jet of red light that Harry thought was a stunner at his shield, though it was hard to tell because it was so fast it was a blur.

The spell impacted hard against Harry's shield, and it visibly flared but did not fall.

Dumbledore nodded approvingly. "Very well, I think you have a firm handle on the Protego shield. Now, let us move on to the more advanced variants, if you would drop the shield." Harry did so with a flick of his wand and Dumbledore continued. "The Protego shield should be your go to shield in a situation where you expect to face jinxes and hexes, and even very minor curses since it is the least draining of the possible shields. However, in a true fight against a death eater or in the worst case scenario, Lord Voldemort himself, I fear this rudimentary shield will not be of much use to you."

"It is far from the only shield however. I will not be showing you every shield today. However, I hope to cover three improved shields of varying power and difficulty. Those being Protego Maxima, Aegis Sphaera, and Aegis Magnum."

"The first of these, Protego Maxima, is essentially just a stronger version of the Protego shield. It will stop the more powerful blasting curses like bombarda and reducto and will hold up well against spell chains. It will suffer though against the dark arts, and a powerful enough wizard can still breach it with a bombarda maxima, though it would not damage you as much as it would break the shield.

"The second, Aegis Sphaera, is a little bit different, and is actually a spell of my own creation," Harry did not miss the increase in the old man's ever present twinkle. "It is essentially Protego Maxima, however, instead of a barrier being conjured in front of you, the shield will take the form of a sphere like dome around you. Covering you from all sides."

"Sir, if you don't mind me asking, if this exists, doesn't that make Protego Maxima useless?"

"That would be ideal yes, but it does not work as well in execution. You see, the shield covers a larger area, and therefore takes more magic to both cast and maintain. Similarly to how Protego Maxima will take more energy then Protego due to the increased power required."

Harry nodded, having understood, especially after going through magical exhaustion so many nights after training. It was one of the most crippling things imaginable, rendering walking near impossible, let alone fighting.

"The final spell I will show you tonight is Aegis Magnum. It is the second most powerful shield spell in the world, unless I have a gap in my knowledge, which between the two of us, is something that I view as an improbability. Back on track however, this spell will form a barrier between you and your opponent. This will block almost any curse, barring the unforgivables and a few others which I will show you later on, if for no other reason then so you can identify them. I do not expect you to be able to cast this shield tonight, and I would be happy if you managed it, even partially by the next lesson. Now shall we begin?"

By the end of the lesson, Harry was exhausted. Not quite at the point of magical exhaustion, but he knew he was not far off.

Dumbledore had been very impressed with him. By the end of the lesson, Harry could cast Protego Maxima nearly everytime if casting verbally, and cast it to what he estimated to be a 20% success rate non verbally, even if it was not quite as strong as his verbal form of the shield. Dumbledore said that would fix itself quickly enough with practice.

His Aegis Sphaera was also a pleasant surprise. He could cast it successfully a bit less than half the time, even if he had still not managed it non verbally.

He had not yet been able to cast Aegis Magnum, the spell Dumbledore had called the "mage shield" but Dumbledore was optimistic he would pull it off in one of his upcoming practices.

All in all, it was an exhausted, yet content Harry Potter that groggily made his way back to Gryffindor tower. So groggy in fact, that under his invisibility cloak he walked right past a hallway that was home to a discussion that centered solely around him.

Gabrielle had been wandering the halls of Hogwarts for hours and was sure she would miss curfew. Despite this, she was determined. If she had to miss curfew for one night… well, what was the worst Madame Maxime would do to her perfect, model student.

About fifteen minutes later, Gabrielle was starting to question that thought when finally, she saw a pearly shape gliding in a corridor.

Not wanting to disturb the castle by screaming, Gabrielle fired off a flare in the direction of the apparition. Instantly, the luminescent figure paused it's path and slowly turned around to face the young Veela approaching. As it turned, Gabrielle recognized the face of the very ghost she had been looking for all these hours.

"Ah yes, Ms… Delacour I believe?" Asked Nearly Headless Nick as he bowed to the girl, making his barely attached head wobble precariously.

"Yes sir." Said Gabrielle politely, curtseying in return to the ghosts bow.

"Please, Nick will serve just as well Ms. Delacour." Said the apparition with a kind smile. "Now, I have been expecting you."

"'ave you?" Asked Gabrielle, genuinely taken aback by the proclamation.

Nearly Headless Nick chuckled. "Oh yes, you see, being dead, while certainly unfortunate does have its perks. For example Ms. Delacour, I can see magical anomalies that only exist in the metaphysical plain, something that is normally near impossible for witches and wizards, but not spirits, as it is, in a sense, that very plain in which we exist."

Gabrielle nodded, accurately assuming that Nick meant that he could see the bond between herself and Harry.

"You must know why I am 'ere zen?" Asked Gabrielle, hoping that the ghost would simply spill everything he knew.

The ghost nodded solemnly. "Indeed I do, Ms. Delacour. I am afraid you will find yourself disappointed though."

"Why would I find myself disappointed?" Asked Gabrielle as her heart sank.

"I know you wish to question me on Harry Potter. The problem is, Ms. Delacour, that I really can't tell you much. Oh, I could tell you some things, certainly, but others remain a mystery to me. You see, Harry Potter has been an enigma since he arrived at Hogwarts. Astonishing things always seem to happen around him, of that there can be no doubt. Despite that however, the actual things themselves remain a great mystery to the vast majority of the castle, living and dead alike."

"Well, can you at least tell me what you meant yesterday?" Asked Gabrielle, hoping to at least wheedle something out of the Gryffindor ghost.

Nick seemed to consider her for a moment, scratching his chin as he hovered in the air before finally, he spoke. "I meant exactly what I said, Ms. Delacour. Harry Potter is going to drown himself in his own guilt and anger over something he had no control over."

Gabrielle took that in, she had suspected something of the sort, though it was nice… well, nice wasn't really the right word. It was… illuminating to have her thoughts confirmed.

"What is 'e so guilty about?" Asked Gabrielle.

"Alas," said the ghost, looking genuinely regretful for the first time in the conversation, "it is not my story to tell. I do wish to tell you, I really do, but I am afraid it would be a rather harsh betrayal of young Harry's trust, something I value quite deeply. I will say this however, there are… rumours of what happened. I think you will find, that though none of them are completely accurate, and some are closer to the truth than others, you will, if nothing else, be able to come up with the answer to that question simply by examining the Hogwarts rumour mill, as well as perhaps some copies of last year's Daily Prophets."

Gabrielle nodded, mentally noting the words of the spirit. "And why does 'arry think it was 'is fault?"

Nick just shook his head. "On this front I can only guess, and even then, I can only share part of my suspicions, as some of them, if true, would be very personal information to reveal, and information that if true, Harry Potter has tried quite hard to conceal. Nevertheless, I believe that Harry believes himself guilty in part, not only because in his mind, he could have stopped it, but also because in many ways, he believes he was the cause of it. He believes that had he not been here, the event in question would not have taken place."

"And would it 'ave?" Asked Gabrielle.

Nick looked thoughtful. "I believe so, though it would have played out differently, I ultimately think it would have come to the same conclusion."

"But 'e disagrees?"

"I think if he allowed himself to think of it subjectively, perhaps he would be more amenable to the idea, but as I said, he is not in a state to do so."

"But 'e seems so… normal."

Nick laughed. "Often times, Ms. Delacour, it is the most normal seeming people who turn out to be the most extraordinary. Again, I am guessing here in part, though I know I am at least partially correct. Harry Potter has had far too much practice at bottling up his emotions, and, if truth be told, I do not think he knows any other way of handling emotionally stressful situations. This one though is more stressful than any before, and if he continues to do this, he will break. It is inevitable."

"Does zat 'ave anything to do with why 'e 'ad no reaction to the Daily Prophet today?"

Nick nodded. "It has everything to do with it. In fact, I think they are so closely related, you could categorize them as the same issue."

"What did 'e mean by 'is second year?"

Nick just sighed. "I suppose it would not hurt to at least tell you this, since you could find it out verbatim from any student, so holding my tongue would change nothing in the end. I do not know all the facts, nor does anyone in the castle minus Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore. But the gist of it is this." He paused for a long moment. "Do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets?"

Gabrielle was thrown off by the question, but she thought for a moment, mentally skimming through Hogwarts A History, a book she had read in preparation for this journey.

"It was ze center of a legend involving Salazar Slysserin." She said slowly and without much confidence. Nick nodded encouragingly so she continued with a bit more confidence in her memory. "Slysserin did not want muggleborns to attend 'ogwarts, a sentiment which Gryffindor, and I believe at least 'ufflepuff strongly disagreed with." Nick nodded again, so she pressed on. "Ze argument got so intense, Slysserin was forced to leave 'ogwarts. When 'e did though, 'e left behind a chamber which 'oused a monster designed to kill all the muggle borns in 'ogwarts." She then looked at the ghost. "'ow did I do?"

"Remarkably well, all things considered." Praised the ghost, clapping as he did so. "You are missing one crucial detail though, the same legend also states that only Salazar Slytherin's true heir could open the chamber and release the horror within."

Gabrielle nodded, remembering that bit of the passage once the ghost had jogged her memory.

"Well, the chamber was apparently opened in 1943. There were several students petrified, all of muggle lineage, one even died." This proclamation made Gabrielle gasp softly. "The perpetrator was believed to be Rubeus Hagrid, our groundskeeper. Though anyone with a brain would know that if he was responsible, it had nothing to do with the famed chamber, as there is no way Slytherin's heir would be a half giant, I am sorry, I do not discriminate against non-humans" he said, bowing in acknowledgement to Gabrielle's Veela heritage. "But there is just no way it would happen."

Gabrielle smiled. "I understand, please continue."

"Well, two years ago, the same type of things began to happen again. Midway through the year while everyone was trying to figure out who the heir was, Harry Potter accidentally revealed a rather obscure talent, one that in the eyes of many served as indisputable evidence to prove him guilty."

"What was it?" Asked Gabrielle, drawing a blank.

"Parseltongue." Answered Nick flatly, causing Gabrielle to gasp in wonderment. "I see that you know the significance, that trait is supposedly passed down only through the Slytherin bloodline. Either way, for months it was believed by many that Harry Potter was the heir of Slytherin, and he was emotionally attacked quite harshly on all fronts, as well as hexed in the back on multiple occasions." Gabrielle winced at that. Unperturbed, Nick pressed on. "I was actually petrified myself, so the rest is second hand but here it goes. The story goes that Hermione Granger, one of Harry Potter's best friends, had been found petrified." Gabrielle softly gasped yet again, recognizing the name with horror as the bushy haired girl she had met earlier that same day. "Naturally this cleared Mr. Potter's name, as no one was delusional enough to believe he would petrify one of his two best friends."

Gabrielle nodded and waited for him to go on but he didn't. "Well ssank you for telling me, but if you don't mind what 'appened about ze chamber? You 'ave me interested now."

Nick smiled. "On that, I do not know. The extent of my knowledge is that Harry Potter's best friend's sister was brought down to the chamber by the heir of Slytherin, or so a message supposedly written by the heir said. Anyway, later that day, she was returned, it was announced the heir had been caught, and Harry Potter received 300 house points as well as an award for special services to the school."

"So 'e stopped it all?" Gabrielle wondered aloud, no small amount of awe present in her voice.

Nick just shrugged, causing his head to wobble once more. "On that, I have no idea. He is certainly courageous enough to try, but to be frank, I am not sure if a second year would have the required skill set. I admit though, the evidence certainly indicated the contrary."

"So 'e's what… desensitised to slander because of this?"

Nick shrugged. "I believe it is only a factor, Ms. Delacour, not the entire puzzle, but I can not tell you anymore."

Gabrielle sighed but nodded, thankful for what she had found out at least. "And you ssink I can 'elp him?" Asked Gabrielle.

Nick's face was impassive. "I do not know. I believe that if you fail, Harry Potter may be beyond the point of no return."

His training was taking off. The extra stamina allowed him to cast the new cutter charm twice before he was totally exhausted and needed a potion. He also studied up on the Fidelius charm. It would be very useful to him. He had grabbed the vanishing cabinet from the room of hidden things. He ordered Dobby to find someone to repair it for him no matter the cost. Once it was fixed he planned to journey between school and home whenever he wanted. He had Kreacher purchase the one in Borgin and Burkes. It was currently waiting for him in his room at headquarters.

Funnily enough, Umbridge and Snape tried to bait him as much as possible to punish him. They both failed in eliciting any reaction. He was breezing though their classes much to their distaste.

Hermione enjoyed the newly established rivalry with her friend. They both absconded to the library from time to time. It was like old times for Hermione. Luna joined them once in a while but that didn't bother Hermione. She and Ginny had another talk where Hermione apologized profusely to the girl. She was sure Harry had a crush on Ginny. They both moved on.

Harry and Sirius had kept in constant communication through the mirrors. Sirius was reliving his Hogwarts years through Harry. He happily purchased the liquor Kreacher would take to Harry and would discuss girls with him. Sirius also kept hinting to Harry that he had his Christmas gift sorted out for him. Harry wondered what it could be, but couldn't figure it out.

Friday arrived alongside quidditch tryouts. Harry was very surprised by the results. Ron blew them all away as keeper. His self confidence was at an all time high, that even the taunts from the Slytherins failed to face him. The Slytherin team left the pitch knowing they had a battle ahead of them. Ginny had made reserve chaser and seeker. She flew very well and almost scored on Ron a few times. The new brooms that the Weasleys owned, allowed them to perform feats they hadn't been able to before. They all left the pitch feeling very confident.

As they walked into the castle Draco Malfoy was waiting for them with his Slytherin cronies.

"I bet you think you're the best now don't you Potter?".

"Tsk-tsk little Draco" mocked Harry. "That's the difference between us. Where you think you're the best, we know we are".

The Gryffindor team laughed as Draco pulled out his wand and pointed it at Harry.

"Go ahead" said Harry. "Do something".

"What" said Draco unsure of himself.

"Cast a spell" said Harry as he flared his magic once more, intimidating the Slytherins and Gryffindors alike.

The same feeling of having a huge weight pressing down on them resurfaced.

"Cast whatever you want. Just know that if you don't finish me off, I will come back for you and make you wish you'd killed me" echoed Harry's voice menacingly in the silent hallway.

"Let's go" gulped Draco as he left the hall quietly followed by his usual group of Slytherins.

"Have I told you you're scary sometimes" said Fred.

Harry laughed "Only when I need to be".

"Would you really kill him?" asked Ron

"Of course" said Harry without hesitating, then walked into the Great Hall for dinner.

His friends looked at each other and followed him inside.

During the next several days things changed dramatically for Hogwarts. It started with Ron, who got a letter from his brother Percy. He basically warned him to keep his distance from Harry. Dolores was appointed High Inquisitor by ministry decree. She began to inspect classes and taunt the half-breed teachers. In one Defense class Dolores gave Harry detention.

"Detention Mr. Potter".

Harry, who was practicing occlumency again hadn't heard a thing.

Ron nudged him.

"What?" said an irritated Harry.

Ron pointed to Umbridge who smiled at Harry.

"Detention Mr. Potter"

"And what exactly did I do to deserve detention?" asked Harry.

"Word has reached me that you've been intimidating your fellow students and bullying them in the halls".

"What?" said Ron angrily.

"And you believe this anonymous source over me?".

Dolores laughed "Of course you hateful child".

Harry laughed "§§§It's on, you stupid hag§§§".

Dolores shivered. She had never heard Parseltongue before.

"What did you say?".

Harry replied "Nothing that you should worry about Miss High Inquisitor. When will I serve this detention?".

"Tonight. After dinner. And we'll make it the whole week for your attitude".

"That's unfair" said Hermione angrily.

Harry silenced her. "I'll be there" he said and returned to his occlumency.

Dolores looked gleeful and returned to her desk as everyone stared at her in shock. They were used to points being taken away for stupid reason, but being assigned detentions over rumors was new.

"Return to your books" said Dolores when she caught everyone staring at her.

Class ended and they all went to dinner. Along the way Harry heard Hermione and Ron insult Umbridge repeatedly. He laughed at Hermione's colorful language.

"What are you going to do Harry?" asked Hermione.

"Well I already have an idea of what she'll make me do. Perhaps I can use it to my benefit".

"What is she going to make you do?"

"You'll see" said Harry who entered into the great hall to eat.

After dinner Harry showed up at the defense classroom. There, Umbridge waited with the expected blood quill. She had a huge smile on her face.

"Good afternoon professor" greeted Harry.

"Sit down Mr. Potter" said Umbridge pointing to the desk in front of her. When Harry sat, she handed him the quill.

"Lines" said Harry.

"Yes Mr. Potter".

"What do you want me to write?".

"I will obey my betters would be nice Mr. Potter. I warned you not to test me this year. Attacking the children of prominent pureblood families is something that's well above your station".

Harry laughed 'This is even better than I thought'.

Harry didn't even bother to ask for how long. He began to write the phrase "I will obey my betters" over and over again. He soon began to feel the sharp pain across the back of his hand. He didn't react and kept writing. After approximately 3 hours Dolores told him to stop.

"Make sure to be back here tomorrow as well Mr. Potter".

Harry smiled cheerfully "As you wish professor" and left the room. When he entered the common room, he walked passed his friends and went into his room. He looked through his trunk and found his bottle of tequila. Harry poured it out over the cut on his hand. It stung quite a bit. Ron, Neville, and Hermione walked in to see him chug the bottle

"What's that on your hand?" asked Hermione.

Harry lifted his hand up "Umbridge's revenge".

"That's barbaric" said Hermione "I'm telling McGonagall".

"Don't" said Harry.

"What" said Hermione.

"Harry, you have to tell someone" said Neville.

"Yeah mate" added Ron.

"Don't worry guys. I have a plan for Umbridge".

"What is it?" asked Hermiione.

"You'll have to wait and see, but there's some charms you can help me with".

"Of course" responded Hermione.

Ron and Neville shook their heads and proceeded to go back downstairs.

"Harry" said Hermione.

"What is it Hermione?" asked Harry.

"Are you really okay?".

"It hurts a bit, but yes" he said as he took another swig of tequila. "Want some" he joked jiggling the bottle in front of him.

To his surprised Hermione reached out for the bottle and chugged it.

"Damn" said Harry as the tequila quickly disappeared.

Hermione laughed and returned the bottle to Harry. He took another sip and followed Hermione downstairs.

Over the next few days Harry and Hermione spent their free time in the library. Harry also used Dobby to sneak a Draught of Rage  Kreacher purchased for him, into Dolores' drink every day that week.

On Friday evening just before dinner, Umbridge was walking around like a caged tiger. During the class, she glared at Harry and snarled things under her breath. Those present were surprised by her behavior. Harry smirked and Dolores had enough of his smug face. She pointed her wand at him.

"Crucio" she yelled.

Harry dodged it easily. He expected something, yet this worked out better than he'd hoped. Everyone was silent.

"Class dismissed!" yelled Umbridge when she realized what she'd done in a moment of clarity.

The students ran out of the room.

Harry got up from his desk and purposely dropped a piece of parchment from among his things.

Dolores noticed the parchment fall and ran to pick it up.

"Give it back" said Harry pretending to be scared.

"What is this Mr. Potter" said Umbridge waving the parchment around.

"That's private" he said. "Please give it back".

What she read astounded her. After processing it, she immediately jumped in glee.

"Wait here" she barked and walked to her office talking to herself "I need to to speak to Cornelius at once".

Harry immediately sprung into action. Harry penned a quick note to Amelia Bones. "Fudge is on his way to Hogwarts with Aurors. Make sure to be among them".

"Dobby" he shouted.

"What can Dobby do for master Harry Potter sir?".

"Hi Dobby. Can you please take this to Amelia Bones?" he said holding the note for Dobby.

DObby took the note and popped away.

The bell signaled for the start of dinner.

"Can you believe that woman" yelled Hermione as they were making their way to dinner.

"I know! She almost got Harry with that spell"said Neville in disgust.

Hermione placed a hand on Neville's arm to comfort him.

"What happens now?" asked Ron.

"I guess whatever Harry has planned".

"Did he tell you anything?" asked Ron.

"No" replied Hermione as she shook her head. "I only helped him look up the spells and taught him how to perform them. Even now I have no idea what he did".

Throughout the great hall news of what occurred in the defense classroom spread like wildfire. Shock and disbelief were the primary reactions. Severus and Minerva left the hall in a hurry to speak with the headmaster.

Dolores returned from her office with a smile "Come along Mr. Potter, to the headmaster's office".

'Showtime' thought Harry.

They walked in silence. Harry caught a few stragglers making their way to dinner. They reached the headmaster's office. Upon entering, Harry saw Amelia and Kingsley standing next to Percy and Fudge, who was conversing with Dumbledore. McGonagall and Snape were standing in the corner.

Evan saw Harry fall into the mud.
The rain poured down on Harry's face, his arm dangled in a bizarre angle. Evan hurried to the centre of the field. He didn't want to see Lockhart use a spell that gets rid of the bones.
By the time he crossed the crowd, Lockhart was standing in front of Harry.
"Don't worry, leave it all to me, children!" He said in a comforting tone, "it's just a simple spell that I've used countless times."
As he spoke, he rolled up his emerald green sleeves.
"No, no!" said Harry weakly.
But it didn't work, Lockhart was already casting the spell. A second later, he pointed his wand at Harry's arm.
It was too late to stop it, so Evan had to cast a spell to save Harry.
"Protego" shouted Evan
The next second, a red light flew out from the tip of his wand, and the light blue Spell struck Harry.
Perhaps this time his training was adequate, or maybe Lockhart was terrible at casting spelling. In short, everyone saw that Lockhart��s spell rebound.
The light blue bolt flew through the air and hit Percy, who was standing beside Lockhart.
Percy fainted, and the people around him gasped.
They saw that Percy's left arm, which had been struck by the spell, was limp and boneless.
"Oh my God, his bones are gone?" "
"Lockhart looked equally panicky. Yes, yes, sometimes that happens, it must be some reaction to the Protego spell that Evan cast and my spell. But don't worry, which classmate can carry him to Madam Pomfrey, she can help him. "
Fred and George gave Lockhart a deadly stare before they carried Percy to the school infirmary, Ginny was pale, with tears in her eyes.
In the school hospital, it only took a second for Madam Pomfrey a second to heal Harry's bones, but when she saw Percy's arm, she looked unhappy.
"What did you do to him? Poor boy, all of his bones are gone, and I need to regrow them."
"I'm sorry, Percy, I didn't think this would happen."

Evan, Harry, Hermione, and the Weasley family all gathered around Percy's bed, and though Gryffindor won the Quidditch game, no one was happy.
"It's all Lockhart's fault" said Fred.
"It's not his fault, it was Evan's Protego spell and Lockhart's spell that produced an awful effect," said Hermione as she defended Lockhart.
"Everyone knows that Protego only bounces back the spell," said George
"But…"
"Why are you still defending Lockhart, Hermione?"
"If Harry or Percy wanted to remove their bones, they would find a better way" said Ron aloud
"Everyone makes mistakes" said Hermione as she blushed "Lockhart was only trying to help"
"He wasn't helping, if it weren't because of Evan, Harry would be laying in this bed now"
"Keep quiet, children!" said Madam Pomfrey while she was carrying a giant bottle of Skele-Gro, "You should let him rest, re-growing bones is an excruciating process."
Said Madam Pomfrey as she poured Percy a cup and handed it to him.
Everyone looked at Percy's pained face as he drunk the potion, Ginny hurriedly helped him swallow it.
By the time Percy felt better, Madam Pomfrey had made them leave, the Weasleys had insisted on spending more time with Percy.
But Madam Pomfrey disagreed with so many people staying with him. Finally, Evan, Harry, and Hermione went back to the common room.
"Don't worry, Evan! "
Harry patted Evan on the shoulder and said, "It's not your fault. Percy was just unlucky "
"Harry, Professor Lockhart just wanted to help you, the problem was the crazy bludger, someone must have bewitched it!" said Hermione.
"But who…?"
"I think I know."
Evan pulled them to an empty classroom, and explained, "It's the house elf Dobby, he bewitched the ball."
Evan told him what he saw, and then Dobby suddenly appeared in front of them.
In the dim classroom, the three-starred at Dobby���s tennis ball sized eyes.
"What are you doing here?" said Harry while being a little bit surprised.
"Harry Potter went back to school." whispered Dobby sadly, "I repeatedly warned Harry Potter. When Harry Potter missed the train, why did you not go home?"
"Wait, how do you know I missed the train?" asked Harry suddenly.
Dobby's lips trembled, and he looked suspicious.
"Did you do it?" said Harry slowly, "you sealed the wall and wouldn't let us through!"
"Precisely, sir" said Dobby as he nodded his head "I waited inside, and when I saw Harry Potter, I sealed the entrance, afterward I Ironed my hands!"
He held ten long fingers with bandages on it for the three people to see.
"Why do you have to iron your hands?" said Hermione in a surprised tone.
"Because Dobby must punish himself, Dobby thought Harry Potter was safe. Dobby never dreamed that Harry Potter and his friends would find a way to go to school!" "
Dobby shook himself back and forth and kept banging his head, which made Evan wonder about Dobby's IQ.
"Hearing that Harry Potter was back at Hogwarts made Dobby burn master's supper! Master gave me a furry of whips unlike ever before, sir..."
"You almost got Evan, Ron, and me expelled!" snarled Harry, "you'd better go away before I strangle you."
"Dobby doesn't care!" said Dobby with a faint smile "Dobby has become accustomed to the threat of death, more than five times a day at home."
"Wait, who's threatening you?" said Hermione as she frowned.
"Dobby can't reveal master's name. Dobby can't reveal secrets of the master's family."
Dobby blew his nose on a corner of his dirty pillowcase while looking miserable.
"Why are you wearing that, Dobby?" asked Harry curiously, he wasn't as angry as before.
"This symbolizes a house elf's slave status!" said Dobby
"Slave?!" said Hermione as she frowned even more.
"Yes, Dobby is only free when his master gives him clothes to wear. People at home are cautious, not to give Dobby as much as a pair of socks because if Dobby is free, he would be free to leave home forever. "

I am only putting this on here because I enjoyed it myself and thought others might want to give it a read as well.

Harry ducked and rolled to the left just in time for a stunner to phase past him by a few centimeters.

He had no doubt in his mind that if Flitwick was taking this seriously, then he was have sent two more stunners to the places where he would try to dodge, which would have ended with him being stunned.

But just like Flitwick, he was not giving his all in the duel.

For one thing, they were only use low level spells against one another.

For another, he was not wearing his robes for this dueling session since Flitwick had told him that he would never learn how to dodge properly if her relied overly on his charmed clothes which might prove to be dangerous in an actual battle.

So here he was. Jumping from one place to another like a fool, trying to save his skin from the monster known as Filius Flitwick who seemed to be enjoying this way too much then he should.

Harry transfigured a shield from the floor in order to take a breather but the shield was destroyed but a weak reducto curse the very next second and he was forced to duck and dodge the next few spells once again while he tried to throw a few of his own every now and then, most of which didn't even reach anywhere close to the Professor.

He realized that despite being a genius in charms, transfiguration and other subjects, he was absolute pants in a duel.

And his aim with a wand was absolutely horrendous to the point that he wondered how the original Harry Potter had ever managed to hit anything with it.

Then again, deep down he knew that it wasn't the wand that sucked. It was him.

Oh well. Practice makes perfect.

He dodged a few more red stunners from the professor but he had been doing this for some time now and was too exhausted and too slow to dodge anything and before long, a stunner struck him in the left shoulder, effectively ending this pathetic duel.

He woke up with a start and found Flitwick stowing away his wand while standing beside him as he himself laid on the ground in a sprawl.

One thing knew about duels was that Dignity was the first causality of any duels.

"You did good Mr Potter." Flitwick said with a huge smile "You've got an athletic build and have great reaction time. Not many new duelists are able to dodge as well as you did back there."

Yet despite all the praise, Harry felt lost.

He knew that Charms, Transfiguration and Ancient Runes were far apart from Dueling.

He could use his wandless magic and get an advantage in a fight but that was it. Aside from that advantage, he was severely disadvantaged in other aspects of dueling.

There was the fact that his aim was absolute shit. And even without it, he found it hard to concentrate properly while he was being pelted with spells.

He lost almost all of his concentration while fleeing for his life and coming up with a successful plan to defeat an opponent seemed like a far fetched dream.

He knew that unlike the other subjects that came easily to him, Dueling was something that he would have to work very hard to improve.

But he also knew that he had advantages that other didn't have. Like three times larger mana capacity than an average wizard of his age.

Then there were his enhanced weapons like the hand gun that he was still adding new charms on. He had yet to use an enhanced weapon against Flitwick because he knew that his weapons were dangerous but in a real life and death situation, he would not shy away from using every advantage that he had.

Then there was the enhanced defensive robes that he was working on. He knew that at this point, they were only capable of stopping low level spells but this was just the start.

His end goal was to neutralize every spell in existance so that he would be able to get the ultimate defense.

Of course, he knew that such a thing would be almost impossible to achieve as there was no such thing as an ultimate defense but he would still try to make his defense as strong as possible.

Aside from that, there was the human transfiguration that he was working on that would improve his senses in a real battle.

Provided that he had not made any significant improvement in that direction but he was confident that given enough time, this branch of study would show great results as well.

So even though Dueling was a weak point of him, he knew that he would be able to make do with all his other skills. Still, it would be better for him if he learned as much as he could from the Professor.

After all, it was not everyday that an International Dueling Champion takes out his time to teach you.

"Thanks Professor." Harry said and stood up from the ground and dusted his robes off before realizing that he had recently charmed it to clean itself.

But then again, habits die hard.

"That will be all for today Mr Potter." Flitwick said with his usual enthusiasm "If there's nothing else, then I'll meet you tomorrow at the same time." Saying that, he turned to move but Harry already had something on his mind that he needed to consult the professor about.

"Wait Professor." He called out and Flitwick stopped on his tracks and turned around to look at him curiously.

"There is something I wanted to ask you about?"

"Something?"

"A charm." Harry nodded "A very complicated charm that I've heard very few know about and that even fewer people can perform."

Now Flitwick looked thoroughly interested. "Which charm would that be Mr Potter."

"The same charm that my parents used in order to hide from the Voldemort." Flitwick flinched at that name and Harry inwardly frowned at this. He had forgotten how every wizard and witch in the magical world feared the Dark Lord name. But the fact that even his own teacher was frightened of that name left a bad taste in his mouth and put things into larger perspective.

As of yet, he was far weaker than Flitwick.

And Flitwick in turn was far weaker than Voldemort.

Who in turn was a bit weaker than Dumbledore.

Yup. Becoming the world greatest wizard was going to be a long road. But that's not what he needed to focus on right now.

"I heard that my parents used the Fidelius charm to hide from the dark lord. And that he was utterly incapable of finding them and would have never been able to attack them if they were not betrayed by their own friend."

"Where did you hear that Mr Potter?" Flitwick asked sadly, looking a bit pale at he memory of his lost students.

"It was written in all the newspapers from back in the day." He lied smoothly. "It's not really much of a secret when you think about it." He said and pretended to look sad at the memory of his not-parents.

"I'm afraid I've never used that charm myself as I've never needed to. But I know a thing or two about this ancient charm. Tell me Mr Potter, what do you want to know about the charm?"

"The first thing I want to know is that if this charm was so powerful and if it was so good at hiding people then why didn't more people use it in the last war?" he asked.

Flitwick smiled sadly at that and started his explanation which went on for the next half an hour during which Harry continued to ask questions upon questions regarding the charm for when he himself would need to cast the charm.

Turned out that only a very complicated charm that very few people are proficient enough to cast.

Moreover, it was a very ancient charm. Perhaps one of the most ancient charms. So very few people know how to cast it.

Those were one of the few simple reasons why it was not widely popular in the last war.

After the explanation, Harry thanked the professor profusely before leaving for the rooms.

Truthfully, he had wanted to cast that charm on three adjacent rooms and make Penelope or Hermione the secret keeper. Plus a house elf or two for food and coffee and other basic necessities.

That way, no one would be able to tell where he spends most of his time and  all his projects and experiments will remain hidden.

The problem was that even if he knew how to perform the charm, which he didn't at the moment, he was still not powerful enough to cast the charm right now.

At least he was not powerful enough to cast the charm on three whole rooms.

Perhaps he'll cast the charm on one single room and then use other charms to enlarge the room and divide it in different sections so that his time travelling counterparts won't be able to see each other in case something goes wrong.

After all, playing with time might be beneficial but if you do something wrong then the repercussions might be just as bad. So he was very careful whenever he used the time turner.

He looked up front and realized that he had already taken various shortcuts and reached the last room in the 6th floor in the east wing which was so abandoned that not even the people inside the portraits bothered to come here.

He shook his head and entered the room where all his books and study table were kept in a neat and orderly way, no doubt the actions of one Hermione Granger.

Then he took out the book on ancient charms and dived into it with full fervor.

Inside the staff meeting room, Albus Dumbledore was rubbing his splitting headache. The backlash from attempting to show Lockhart as a fraud was very slow moving. He was so sure he could have handled the man, but barely into the school year and he was already regretting it. How in the world has this man not exposed himself as a fraud?
They were in their first staff meeting of the new school year that has been postponed the last two times due to Lockhart. The first time was him unable to get away from his fans and students, while the second time he couldn't come because his 'battle scars' were acting up. Which was just a lie as he spent the whole hour doing his hair before his next class.
"Let's get this long overdue meeting started." Dumbledore said much to his staff grumbling in agreement. They too were tired and shot glares towards the cause who pretended not to see them. "Shall we start from first year or seventh years?"
"Since we started from seventh year last time, let's begin with first years this time." Professor McGonagall suggested with the others in agreement.
"Well it's a bit late but are they settling in ok." Dumbledore asked.
"For the most part since it's basically the same every year." Professor Sprout answered with the other three heads of house nodding in agreement.
"That good. Now do any particular students stand out this year?"
"Not this time which is slightly disappointing. However I did find out that most of the years aren't as bad as I was told at brewing." Slughorn groans sadly at the loss of teaching Harry Potter.
"Besides a bit of trouble and getting into fights. Most of my first years don't really stand out much." Sprout answered.
"Luna Lovegood in Ravenclaw does stand out just not in a way most assumed. Due to her spacy look and telling of mystical or fantasy creatures. She hasn't made any friends in or out of the house yet." Flitwick sighed.
"For my house I would say Colin Creevy. The boy is a ball of energy and loves taking pictures." Professor Vector sighed as she pinched her nose. "I had to sit the boy down and explain he can't run up to a student and snap their photo randomly. It is expressially bad when it involves Harry Potter."
"Please like we need Potter to get a bigger ego." Snape snapped. "He would probably allow him to snap photos at any given time."
"Now Severus, we have been over this. Young Harry doesn't have that big of ego that you claim he does." Dumbledore said much to the annoyance of the potion master. "Anyways, we have digressed from the main topic. Now are there any concerns I should be aware of?"
"Many have approached me about their Defense Against the Dark Arts class. They felt like they weren't getting anything out of the class." Sprout said with the other three heads nodding.
"Hey, I have you know that by the end of the year they will be masters in the class." Lockhart boasted.
Ignoring the man, Dumbledore nodded as he leaned back in his chair a bit thinking. This could be a good chance for Harry since he can cast fifth year spells without tiring fairly quickly. It would also serve to help those in OWL and NEWT exams. Even if he has to spare some of his already tight schedule to sit in while Harry teaches.
"Young Harry is starting a study group and while his other classes need a bit of work. He is a prodigy in Defense Against the Dark Arts." Dumbledore spoke as he tapped his finger on the desk. The DADA portion of the test he had Harry do appeared allowing him to pass it around.
"I can confidently say he is good enough to help them study. If you agree I think I can work something out with him."
"Albus, are you sure this is Harry's work. Some of these things are above NEWT level. So how can you expect us to believe a twelve year old who proved to be average took this."
"I can show you the memory, take a vow, or have him take it in front of you all. The only problem I see with this arrangement is the sixth and seventh year practical portion. While he can cast the spells they leave him drained after a few casts." Dumbledore answered, making most blink stupidly at him.
Not liking how the others were considering this, Lockhart had to brag and whine. "Why would they go to him when they can be taught by me? The Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defence League, and five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award."
"Albus, who is going to sit in. I am afraid that there will be accidents." Professor McGonagall asked.
"I should be able to fit it into my schedule if it's an hour or two every week for the older students. Harry should be able to handle first through fifth pretty easily, but feel free to stop by for those." Dumbledore said. "Now shall we get on with this meeting. I say we got a bit sidetracked."
Mummering in agreement the rest of the meeting went smoothly with Lockhart silently fuming. How dare Harry steal his spotlight and time to shine among the students.

Inside the classroom which Harry and Daphne chose to hold their study group. As they finished up their charm work with Penelope helping the two time travelers. They managed to cover most of the second year's spells or third year's in Katie and first in Luna cases. Now it was time for the patronus charm which got Harry excited.
"With charms taken care of let's move onto our next topic. The patronus charm."
"Very funny Potter. I have done my research on it and even most can't cast it. So what makes you, a twelve year old, think he can." Tracey asked rudely and sarcastically.
"Expecto Patronum," Harry said as a thick white smoke formed in the shape of a shield on the tip of his wand.
"Never mind." Was all Tracey could say as this was a better result than when she tried to cast it herself. She only got a sliver of smoke before she felt drained.
After explaining the basics and offering his own tips he remembers from the time he learned it. Harry smiled as Luna, Susan, Tracey and Penelope mist had some remnant of a shield. Hannah on the other hand only had a small stream of mist that quickly faded. The most surprising was Katie's who nearly became corporal on her first cast. She just lost her concentration due to the excitement and failed to finish.
"Amazing girls." Harry praised.
"But I barely got the mist." Hannah said lamely with pure disappointment in her voice.
"Hannah, you need to pick a powerful memory, one that fills you with love, joy or something positive everytime you remember. It could even be a collection of memories that makes you smile."
She smiled at the advice as Harry went back to talking. "Now while many consider this charm difficult is mainly due to the lack of advice in the books that mention them. It also takes a few tries and time for your magic to adjust to the required amount."
"How do you know this Harry?" Penelope asked.
"Research and chats with Dumbledore over it." Harry waved it off while throwing Dumbledore's name in there. He will be sure to make it up to the aged wizard some time in the future with a favor or bags of candy.
While doubt still filled the sixth year perfect, most of the younger girls bought it. Luna, who has been studying him since she walked in, just slowly blinked her eyes at him. Which he learned in the future means she doesn't believe him but will let it slide for now. Since it won't hurt her or others.
"Shall we do this again?" Daphne asked as she pulled out a clock.
"I'm game," Katie quickly agreed.
"This is fun so I can't wait." Luna agreed. "It's like our own secret club."
"It is not really a secret, but we would like to keep it small for the time being." Daphne explained to the young Ravenlaw.
"This definitely helped me. What about you Hannah?"
"Yeah. Are we meeting here again in a week?"
Harry looked over to Daphne who held her chin for a moment before nodding back. "I think that can be arranged. How about you Penelope?"
"I have a perfects meeting next week so I will be late by an hour at most, but I will be here."
After a few more details were set and Tracey agreeing to come again, the room was soon empty. From around the corner a slicked back blonde hair boy frowned as he watched everyone leaving. He wondered what they were all doing and with Potter much less for the last few hours. However his hormonal and puberty mind soon putting guesses together making him grumpy with each new one.
"How dare the Gryffindor half blood sink his claws into the Slytherin house."

Unknown to most, the magical world savior Harry Potter at age fifty who has taken care of the Dark Lord was dying. He has in fact slowly been dying due to inability to connect to his soul mates due to doses of potions and betrayals.
