My friends always call me a feminist, whatever feminist means to them.


I would probably agree with them if we really had the same definition of feminism, but well, their thoughts aren't exactly the same as mine.


Take for example, a friend of mine and I read this novel here in webnovel called, "A Star Reborn" and we started a conversation about it. 
*******Spoilers are present about this novel, so, if you haven't read all of it in chinese or have read from a spoiler's thread, just don't read this until the novel is done for the November 11, 2019 blog.


Let's call my friend Joy
oh, by the way, the name's Kim.

So, before I start my story telling, in this blog you need to understand that most of the time, I write in the first person point of view. 


However, when I start talking about the convos I have with my friends it will be a mixture of my 1st POV and in a more detailed way, like in scripts for dramas wherein their names will be followed a, ':' and afterwards, what they say and do.


Going back, Joy and I read the recent chapters of the novel with Li Lei inviting them with the reporter to meet Er Mao. Naturally, we were engrossed until Joy started throwing a fuss about how much she loved Li Lei. 


Kim:😑*inhales deeply* okay.

Joy: 😡*shakes Kim's shoulders* oh come on, you don't like Pei Ziheng, you also don't like Li Lei. You even have this conspiracy about Xia Moyan and Ye Shaohui 😖🤔.. Li Lei is a great guy!

Kim:😕 okay. I mean, yes, I know that. But come on, haven't you noticed something strange about this novel? 


Joy: 🤨 like what?

Kim: Realistically speaking, It's kind of disturbing how Xiao Ling is always at wits end even though she is the Phoenix. Think about it, of all the characters in the novel, the author time and again has said that she is the most powerful character. So, how come this powerful character became imprisoned at one point, protected at one point, by men? I mean, you know ahahahahahaha, tsk.

Joy: *blinks and contemplates her next words, looks at Kim in the eyes* Kim, we're reading a fictional novel.

Kim:🤨 Darling, we are literature majors, we know that literature is a reflection, an imitation of real life.

Joy: *she bites her lips*

Kim: *continuous her point* what's more, You and I have both realized this trend with the other novels. You told me we would make a paper about this, I hope you intend to keep your word. It's okay to be carried away in your first reading, the second time, there could still be some left out emotions... but on the third time you've read it, aren't you starting to feel disturbed?

Joy: I am, of course. *closes her eyes and inhales deeply* but, we really can't do anything about it. 

Kim: I know.🤓

Joy: Fine, what about Ye Xingling?

Kim: Nothing. *shrugs her shoulders* I just wish for nothing more than a novel that has a female lead that is strong. Her strength is hers alone...which some novels portray in 'certain arcs'...but not all the time...

Joy: *replies in a soft whisperish tone* I know.

Kim: You know me, Joy. *looks at Joy with that fearless and vulnerable gaze* I just want to see women strong enough to stand and protect themselves on their own, even in novels. Men, whether in real life or fiction, cannot really protect their lovers at all times. This is also an unfair burden on their part that society has forced on to them.

Joy: You don't like Li Lei, don't you?

Kim: No. Even Xia Moyan, I don't hate him, and I know the author is saying that through characters like him, people can see that men aren't just bringers of misfortune for women. It's just that, how come there are very few female confidants with their female protagonists? Think about it, Ye Qingtang, Jiang Pengji, Ling Lan... where is that female sisterhood when these novels are meant to be read by females? I have nothing against women sharing brotherhood with men, but the lack of powerful sisterhood is too uncanny, even in Yun Loufeng's end, her friend had to be revived. . . 

Joy: You know that there is radical patriarchy in their region of the world.

Kim: I know, that's why I am hurt. I am Chinese, proud of the cultural heritage I could read and learn from, never been to China but fudge, my blood boils with how proud I am of the rich culture they've maintained even when the world began to go global...but... sometimes the deep rooted cultural patriarchy in Chinese novels just runs too deep. It has feminism, but subliminally, the patriarchal touch is evident. 

Joy: *Laughs* touch?

Kim: *laughs at the realization of what Joy meant* More like theme.


Joy: Okay, fine. *sighs* you know, because of being this aware and active, I think you won't get a boyfriend so easily...😞

Good day, this is a fictional blog of a character I call Kim?

Kim is the type of person who is innocent, smart, but at the same time is fully aware of the evils of the world. Somehow, she still keeps a hopeful stance in life. She even works out and takes self-defense classes because she thinks that for her to feel freedom, she needs to invest on ways to keep her feelings of being free... immense.

Personally, she is like an imaginary friend for me. The type of friend that I wished existed and was there to help me empower my womanhood.

Some of my friends usually have fun when talking with me about women's empowerment and issues that were faced then and now.

So, I thought why not share these moments of bliss with everybody.

I also added a Webnovel Readers' segments on this fictional blog, so every once in a while, the blog will talk about some novels in webnovel. Naturally, everything said in the blog is my personal opinion, feel free to have a differing perpective.

	The Handmaid’s tale is Atwood’s speculative fiction about what would happen if religious fundamentalists who are out to reverse the progresses made by the feminist movement were to take over America and replace the capitalist government with a theocracy of Christian fundamentalist state. 
In Atwood’s dystopia, the trend of viewing women solely in terms of their functions in society is taken to its extreme conclusion in the setting up of women in roles such as handmaids, Aunts, Wives, Marthas, Econowives and so on. Women in an extreme patriarchal society are reduced to mere functions such as Offred’s status as a walking womb in her role solely to breed in a society where environmental disasters have destroyed the fertility of most women and there is a limited number of women to breed for the purpose of perpetuating society. 
She is reduced also to the patronymic name Offred meaning Of Fred because she is solely the property of her commander Fred in the story and her identity as in individual with rights has been erased, a logical conclusion of the current trend to term women solely as Mrs John Atkins and so on.
	While Atwood’s vision of the brutalization of women in extreme patriarchal states might seem unrealistic, it is merely a logical extension of trends today such as viewing women solely as mothers who remain the property of their husbands and whose sole responsibility is to breed and perpetuate the family name. 
According to Atwood thus, the oppression of women and the reduction of women to mere breeding and servile functions in society has its roots in patriarchal and fundamentalist religions such as extreme incarnations of a Christian fundamentalist state which views women solely as the property of men and whose sole functions lie in the domestic sphere.
 As such, June or Offred gets terminated from her job as a librarian and reduced to a mere handmaid whose sole purpose if to breed and get impregnated so that she can perpetuate a sterile society where fertility is limited.
	It is clear in Atwood’s dystopia that women function solely in the society as the servants and property of the men they serve. Hence Offred’s individual name is erased and she is reduced to her function as a handmaid or breeder and she is allowed no private space of her own as even her room has been visited and invaded by the Commander whom she belongs to.Atwood is merely projecting to its logical conclusion trends that are already inherent in current society, such as the view of women as servants of the domestic sphere who should not be allowed to extend their functions beyond the domestic or maternal sphere as extreme Biblical fundamentalists who declared feminists as anti-family heretics were termed in Atwood’s time.
	It is also clear in Atwood’s dystopia that women function merely as the playthings or toys of men, as is shown in the scene where the Commander commands Offred to don a harlot like dress and to visit Jezebel’s, a prostitutes den in which women are reduced to dressing up as sex toys for men to be solely used for their sexual pleasure. The commodification of women as sex objects, sex toys and mere maternal or domestic workers then becomes very clear in Atwood’s dystopian novel.
	Yet if the politics of Atwood’s take is clearly a feminist reaction to dystopian trends in patriarchal society it offers no radical revolutionary solution to this feminist dystopia because the Handmaid’s tale remains a romantic novel in which Offred is rescued by the chivalric Nick whom she has an affair with and who later heroically functions as the knight in shining armour who will arrange her escape.
 So while it is categorically men who are the oppressors in this novel, it is also a romance in which it is a male who comes to the rescue of Offred and liberates her from the Christian theocratic oppression that she suffers. Hence there is no utopian declaration or vision of women who will somehow come to liberate themselves from their male oppression, indeed Atwood’s vision is that while males imprison, they are also the potential liberators or redeemers of women as they can use their Biblical based power inscribed in patriarchy to set women free.
 	Moira who had been a swashbuckling lesbian feminist radical is reduced to a prostitute’s role eventually at Jezebel’s. Hence I would argue that Atwood does not view women as capable of liberating or redeeming themselves from male oppression, instead they remain at the mercies of men to liberate them from their prisons as rescue them from their prisons by using their Biblically inscribed privilege to allow women to extend beyond the circumscribed limits of their patriarchal defined roles in society such as Wives, handmaids and servile breeders of men.
	The tone of Atwood’s dystopia thus remains bleak as it does not view women as capable of conducting their own revolutions of redeeming themselves from their patriarchal imposed prisons in society as the fate of Moira in Jezebels shows. Her rebellion in being a lesbian and separatist from patriarchal society fails as she has no one to redeem her from her fate of being punished for her lesbian separatism in being reduced to a mere sex toy at Jezebel’s. 
She is also described as being defeated and resigned to her fate of being a mere plaything at the hands of men as it is men who wield true power in a Biblical theocracy of patriarchal state. Atwood’s dystopia is thus pessimistic to the end that it offers no radical alternative to patriarchy and indeed declares that while men imprison and oppress it is only the power of men in society which will set women free to move beyond their roles inscribed by patriarchal society as Nick as chivalric hero shows. 
	Women thus remain at the mercy of men for their confinement or liberation and remain dependents on men whichever route they choose to follow, as conformists or rebels against patriarchy, it is only members of the paternal order or men who have the power to confine or liberate them as it were. 
In Offred’s room is the inscription in Latin :Don’t let the bastards grind you down, but it is Offred’s experience, in her games with the Commander and her eventual liberation by Nick, that she remains very much at the mercy of men as patriarchy and Biblical authorities have put men in places of privilege and control to determine the fates of women who serve them.
Atwood also does not dismiss male privilege. She eventually makes it clear that it is the Commander who has allowed Offred to win at the game of scrabble and there is no escaping subordination or biological inferiority to men as woman in the bible was made as a helper and subordinate to Adam and merely to complement Adam as a servant rather than function as an equal. This is made clear in the reduction of women to servile roles as Wives, Marthas, Aunts, Econowives and Handmaids. Females it seems are condemned to serve men in society and as Atwood’s romance has it, they remain at the mercy of men to liberate them from their male imposed prisons. There is thus no escaping male privilege, the female’s choice is merely to negotiate or play within the confines of male power.
This is a reconstruction. All of it is a reconstruction. It’s a construction now, in my head, as I lie flat on my single bed rehearsing what I should or shouldn’t have said, what I should or shouldn’t have done, how I should gave plated it, If I ever get out of here. (Atwood 1985: 144)
It becomes clear from the above quote that Offred is reduced to negotiate with male power and remains solely at the mercy of male power and has to play games within its confines while Atwood seems grim at the possibility of escape from this female dystopia on Offred’s own terms as it is Nick who eventually rescues Offred from the tyranny of the Commander,
Let’s stop there. I intend to get out of here. It can’t last forever. Others have thought such things, in bad times before this, and they were always right, they did get out one way or another, and it didn’t last forever. Although for them it may have lasted all the forever they had. (Atwood, 1985: 144)
It becomes clear that this idea of being forever imprisoned by men is the grim reality for women because of the patriarchal privilege which is delineated for them by the bible. Hence the forever indeed lasts as long as a woman lives, being all the forever they had as it is a metaphysical subordination that woman has been imprisoned by being decreed by God to be Man’s helper and servant and it is only man as such who has the power to liberate woman as Nick does from her role, there is no escape for women on their own terms.
When I get out of here, if I’m ever able to set this down, in any form, even in the form of one voice to another, it will be a reconstruction too, at yet another remove. It’s impossible to say a thing exactly the way it was, because what you say can never be exact, you always have to leave something out, there are too many parts, sides, crosscurrents, nuances, too many gestures, which could mean this or that, too many shapes which can never be fully described, too many flavours, in the air or on the tongue, half colours too many. But if you happen to be a man, sometime in the future, and you’ve made it this far, please remember, you will never be subjected to the temptation of feeling you must forgive a man as a woman. It’s difficult to resist, believe me. But remember that forgiveness too is a power. To beg for it is a power, and to withhold it or bestow it is a power, perhaps the greatest. (Atwood, 1985: 144)
The only power that women hold is thus the written word and testimony as Offred testifies to the brutality that is conducted on her by patriarchal society. The only power she has as a woman is the power to forgive the sins heaped upon her by men who use and abuse her only as a domestic slave and sex toy. The only resistance that Offred has is to withhold or bestow forgiveness and Atwood describes this power to withhold to bestow forgiveness as the greatest power of all, because in history women have been silenced and it has always been His Story, this is Offred’s attempt at reclaiming the narrative and making it Herstory by controlling and regulating the power to withhold or bestow forgiveness of men for their many abuses of her.
 Even in the Bible, it is mentioned that it is the poor in spirit, the poor, the marginalized, the oppressed, the silent that God eventually will have mercy on, so while women experience gender discrimination and oppression in this life, in the afterlife where there is no marriage or distinction into gender roles as angels women may finally experience reprieve from all the injustices they had to suffer on earth as women under the subordination of men.
Or you’d remember stories you’d read, in the newspapers, about women who had been found- often women but sometimes men, or children that was the worst- in ditches or forests or refrigerators in abandoned rented rooms, with their clothes on or off, sexually abused or not, precautions you took that had to do with locks on windows and doors, drawing the curtains, leaving on lights.These things you did were like prayers, you did them and you hopes they would save you.And for the most part they did.
But all of that was pertinent only in the night, and had nothing to do with the  man you loved, at least in daylight. With that man you wanted it to work, to work out. Working out was also something you did to keep your body in shape, for the man. If you worked out enough, maybe the man would too.Maybe you would work it out together, as if the two of you were a puzzle that could be solved, otherwise one of you most likely the man, would go wandering off on a trajectory of his own, taking his addictive body with him and leaving you with bad withdrawal, which you would counteract by exercise.If you didn’t work it out it was because one of you had the wrong attitude.Everything that went on in your life was thought to be due to some positive or negative power from inside your head. (Atwood 1985: 238-239)
Indeed while Atwood describes the man’s departure as the woman’s fault, as the wrong attitude she holds towards the men that makes the man responsible for leaving the woman and not making the relationship work out, it remains that women even in relationships where equality is supposed to happen are at the mercy of men. 
Women are supposed to bear the right or wrong attitude towards men, or the positive or negative power towards men, but it remains the women who must change their attitudes and dance around men’s attitudes whereas men can be entirely indifferent and leave women as they please because the women are not behaving in a manner that pleases them, women are expected to keep fit and work out for men while men can only work out if it pleases them or if they want to, at heart is the absolute power that men hold over women and the double standards at work.
 Women are expected to conform to men’s desire and to meet expectations and work and change to meet expectations, while men can remain static and just hold on to their stubborn desires and withdraw from women and leave them if they do not please them simply because they have the power to do so.
The Handmaid’s Tale is thus about the absolute power that men wield over women in society because of Biblical authority. The world at present remains, patriarchal in its inheritance of Biblical traditions and its inscription of the female as the servant and subordinate of the male because God designated Eve to be Adam’s helper and servant, to be Of Adam rather than Eve. The story is thus an attempt at protesting this absolute tyranny of male privilege over female subordination and oppression.

Iam currently sitting in university's library preparing for the test which is going to be on Friday and today is wednesday.i know I have one more day to prepare but iam not the kind of student who wastes one second of their time for their tests and that's what Iam doing currently preparing notes. 

My literature professor 

gave us the topic for the test and we all have to state our opinions and point of views on it and we also have to justify our opinions that, why we are thinking like that and what we believe about it. The topic is very interesting and researching about it gives me so much knowledge and I can use it for myself too "women empowerment and feminism". I am really looking forward to it. after writing it on the paper we have to talk about it infront of the class and this is the hard part of the test and I don't know how iam gonna do it but I hope I can do it and i hope the research iam doing for the test will help me to gain some confidence to talk. 

Iam sitting alone in the library for the last one hour reading "Virginia woolf's A Room of one's own". It is an extended essay joining her two lectures about social injustices,women's lack of free expression. I liked her most essential point which is " A woman must have money and a room of her own is she is to write fiction". Iam reallyliking it reading so far .i can learn so much from reading it. 

In the middle of drowning in my book I felt a presence opposite me and heard the sound of chair screeching and within a half minute I heard a rough male voice " Hey there! iam watching you from the last one hour reading that book without moving.so,I came here to check that you are dead or so" He said laughter in his voice. 

I lift my head to see a blonde guy with tattoos peeking out from his sleeves and a lip ring. "Umm..... I think you have cleared your doubt now, so you can go" I rudely replied. With all the tattoos and lip ring he is giving me not so good vibes and I don't want to get in trouble and the most important thing is that iam not comfortable with people I don't know and I stay far away from New people.over all iam not friendly at all. 

" Yeah now I know that you are not dead or unconscious I can happily give you my company" he said rolling his eyes and planting his annoying self on the opposite chair. 

" I don't think so, and your not welcome here" I said narrowing my eyes. 

"So what is it you reading that kept you so busy that I thought you are dead" he said ripping book from my hands " ummm interesting so you are a feminist" he said nooooo he stated. 

" Seriously! First I don't know who the fudge you are, second you just can't assume anything if iam feminist or not by seeing me reading about it and third Don't take precisely rip some thing from someone who you don't know" I said taking my book back from his hands sending daggers from my eyes at him. 

" Woah woah there tiger, iam sorry if I came as rude but that is not my intention" he said lifting his hands up in the air. 

" Whatever! Will you please leave. I have to go back to reading" I said opening my book and thankfully I have stopper at the page IAM reading, If not I have to waste my time searching for it. 

" Okay let me try again. Hey! Iam Elijah, Elijah James and you can call me Eli,E or whatever you want to call" Eli i mean Elijah said givinghis hand to shake. 

" See,sorry to disappoint you but iam not interested so leave" I said going back to my book. 

" Who told you iam hitting on you! I may came here for friendship" he said with a frown. 

" Whatever it maybe I don't want to be your friend and I already have two amazing best friends and how do I believe you? It's only been 10 minutes of us talking" I said assessing him from his blonde hair to his sneakers. 

" Good point but trust me I don't have any other intention. You seem interesting and I like interesting things and people and I just want you to be my friend" Elijah said shrugging his shoulders. 

He is tall and broad with blonde hair and blue eyes with tattoos and piercings and by the first look he seems suspish but now by talking with him he seems cool and genuine? 

I don't know if I want to believe him or not. Trust is not something you can give easily. Trust is to earn by being loyal and genuine to the people you love. 

" Don't think much scar,let's just be friends already! " he said with a playful smirk. 

" How do you know my name?" I asked narrowing my eyes trying to be intimidate infront of this gaint man. 

" Ughhh stop with your intimidating looks you are not scary scar, and it's not hard to know your name when your uni's I'd is on the table and I can clearly see it" he said folding his hands with a smug smile. 

" Whatever Elijah we can't be friends and I already have two friends and we don't allow anyother people in our group" I lied to make him leave. 

" No problem I can convince your two other friends and make them my friends too" he said grinning like a child who got his favorite candy. 

" Oh my gosh! Why are you so persistent to become my friend?" I asked scowling. 

" I told you,you look interesting and kind of a person who will do anything for her friends and loved ones and cute and funny too when you try to intimidate someone" he said laughing. " I can see why you are hesitating to trust new people and if I will be in your place I would hesitate too. Don't worry scar iam not a bad guy and you can trust me, I promise" Eli said with a serious expression and looking straight in to my eyes. 

It felt like he can see my pain through my eyes and with his smile he is assuring me that everything is gonna be okay and iam with you kind of vibes. The way he is talking makes me want to accept him as my friend.may be I can make him my friend too.new life,new changes and new friends too right? 

Lilly and Zay is there with me and they can easily read a person with in a minute so no need to worry. If what he is saying is true and wants to be my friend then iam getting another best friend. 

" Umm I'll think about it" I said dismissing him. 

" Thank you, thank you I will be waiting here tomorrow at same time okay?" He said getting excited. 

" Yeah okay, same place" I said giving him a small smile. 

" Okay then I'll take my leave and you can read your book with peace now" he said getting up from his chair. 

" Awwww so sweet of you " I said sarcastically rolling my eyes. 

" Ha ha ha iam a gentleman and I know how to treat a woman " Eli said bowing dramatically. 

" Yeah yeah gentleman and you? Huh! Maybe in your dreams" I said with a fake scowl. 

" Ouch! It hurts" Eli said dramatically. He is so much like zayreen. She is also a drama queen. If these two be in one room then there is going to be a one hella entertainment for the viewers. 

" Okay okay stop you drama queen and go.you are wasting my time.i have a test to prepare". I said waving at him. 

" Hey iam not a girl so don't call me a drama queen and iam going so chill" Eli said taking his backpack and slinging it on his shoulder. 

" Okay then bye! " I said 

" Bye and don't forget to think about making me your friend, okay? If you don't make me your friend iam gonna stalk you everywhere" Eli said making a serious face and failing miserably. 

" Ha ha ha okay okay let's see" I said laughing at his funny serious face. 

" Ha ha ha laugh how much you want but iam serious about stalking thing" he said mocking my laugh and again failing to compose his serious posture. 

" Okay mister serious, go I have to prepare for my test" I said playfully narrowing my eyes. 

" Okay seriously iam going now and please scar think about it" Eli said with a pout and puppy eyes waving at me and leaving the library. 

" Okay I'll think about" I waved back. I already made up mind and iam going to introduce Eli to lilly and Zay and going to be his friend. 

From the outside He looks like big bad gaint and seems to be intimidating with all his tattoos and piercing but from the inside he is a big softie with an adorable pout and puppy eyes and a good sense of humour too and so much of drama. I maybe bad at reading people at the first encounter but with Elijah,first he seems to be a bad boy with a big ego but talking with him he seems a guy with a kind heart and he seems empathetic too. 

I hope my two best friends will like eli too. If they don't like him I don't know how to make them like him but I know if lilly and Zay spend at least ten minutes with Eli then they'll definitely gonna like him and iam sure about it. 

Let see what tomorrow brings but for now I have a test to prepare for and want my entire focus on this task first.

She sat, with her back straight, Crystal had perfect posture. She was a perfect girl, almost. She wore rimmed glasses, her long black hair was tied back in a tight pony tail. She was tall, but she wore flats because the last thing she was, was pretentious.

Crystal was a kind person. A well-educated and hard-working author. She had fourteen degrees from social working to teaching small children with a venereal disease in modern society under a corrupt government.

Men would be attracted to her if she ever left the house, she was tall, elegant and hid her ample curves below her frumpy dress.

She was waiting for the right man to come along and sweep her off her feet. A kind, educated man, who was witty and tall. His looks didn't matter, it was his heart that mattered.

Such a man just walked by and Crystal saw him. 'Ugh' she thought,' too fat.' She adjusted her world view. He had to look after himself.

While she was waiting to be summoned to the 69th floor of Twenty Cents Tower. She began to make a list of qualities her man needed to have. She was a frustrated romance novelist after all.

Just thinking of this imaginary man made her wet. No one would know though the prim and proper Crystal sat with perfect posture head held straight waiting for the concierge to show her up to the 69th Floor.

"Ms Meth," a lady in a short skirt, white low hanging blouse which showed too much cleavage addressed her. From her position she could see the panties poking out the bottom of her skirt it was that short. She was on eye level with the offensive camel toe that stood before her.

Trying not to choke Crystal replied, "Yes … that's …me… acuh"

"Ms Meth, I am Mr Bully's personal assistant, please follow me to the 69th floor," the lady said and walked off like she was on the catwalk at a strip club. Her hips swayed like a cock pendulum. No a clock pendulum.

When they arrived at the elevator quadrant, the personal approached the furthest one which was all by itself, she scanned a black shiny card which gave them access to the gold elevator.

The both entered. There were mirrors everywhere including the floor!

Crystal kept her head straight, when she looked down she could see right up the PA's skirt. The undies still had a label on them, like they had been purchased just today.

The elevator flew.

No one else got on or off. It reached the 69th floor in less than a second, as Crystal tried not to vomit up her guts as it stopped.

"Welcome to the 69th," the PA said sweetly, she licked her lips. "Head to the front desk, there is an orientation before you can meet Twenty Cents CEO, Chairman, and all-around good guy Mr Bully."

Crystal Meth turned to say thankyou, and noticed the PA was bent over, pretending to vomit behind Crystals back to one of her colleagues.

The PA noticed she was busted. "Oh, sorry miss, I was just feeling a little ill from the elevator ride. It always does that to me.

Crystal Meth was a beautiful person in side, she was kind, forgiving, but she was also strong she replied, "When a gang of deranged monkeys fornicate they have more class than you."

The PA was shocked it was the best insult she never understood. And that was a low bar, she barely understood any.

Whether Kala and others' prayers would be heed or not, that was a story for another day. For now, all they could do was sulk in regret for their actions and look on as Kiba's figure turned distant. None of them wanted to be even close to him, much less try to capture him.
As Kiba expected, the chase didn't end as a new set of crowd started following him. There were just too many people in The Fair. After all, it was almost like a city, a totally safe haven in the forest. The treasures he supposedly owned was a great enticement. 
Kiba was unfazed and continued to rush through streets. He increased his speed a bit and left the crowd in a dust storm.

The crowd increased their speeds but they were greatly lacking.
Kiba took a turn on a street ahead, and he has just taken a step, when thunderous roars filled the air.
"Hmm?"
Kiba found streams of light beams coming at him. As they approached closely, it was clear the beams were actually knives, wrapped by lightning vipers. 
Even if a Level III mutant was struck by this lightning vipers, their body would be instantly paralyzed and their hearts pierced by the knives. The speed and power left no chances for avoiding multiple strikes.
"You are attacking the wrong guy with lightning," Kiba couldn't help but smile.
He lifted a hand and waved it in a circular motion. 
With a sharp screeching sound, the knives fell down, but the lightning vipers leaped in air. They were excited, their bodies no longer containing killing power. 
They released enormous energy of lightning and wrapped around his hand. There was no destruction or scorched body as the attacker expected. On the contrary, the snakes seemed to be happy as they licked his hands like a pet. There was a pure, unadulterated joy.
"What?!" A shocked gasp came from some distance ahead.
It was a woman named Pooja. She has middle-length hair, brown skin tone, and a slender frame.
She looked with wide eyes as the lightning vipers disintegrated into lightning particles and glued on his hand.
"How is this possible?! Is he also a lightning-attribute mutant?! But they said he was telekinetic!!"
Pooja has got information from one of the people in the mob. She was thinking when her pupils dilated. She looked with mouth agape at the scene in front of her.
Like a sponge absorbing water, Kiba's hand devoured the lightning particles. There was no resistance as if his body was made of lightning.
Pooja gulped down a mouthful of saliva in shock. She hasn't even comprehended this development when she saw a fist closing into her.
Frightened but she quickly said, "A handsome man like you must be chivalrous, right?"
Kiba stopped his fist after coming close to her stomach. He was a taken aback by her words and retraced his fist back.
One of the most popular codes of chivalry stated - A real man doesn't hit a woman or children.
Pooja was a fast thinker and she knew when to take advantage of her gender. 
She smiled as she saw him lowering his fist. She knew many mutants who had their own codes, especially among males.
They considered women as a frail species and someone to protect. Such men wouldn't attack women even if the latter tries to kill them. 
They were a firm believer of code and nothing would change that.
Pooja couldn't have been happier to meet a man of such code as an opponent. 
'And they say chivalry is dead."
She was smiling when her smile suddenly turned stiff as Kiba said, "I'm not chivalrous."
Pooja tensed up and her body was instantly drenched in cold sweat. She didn't want to die, and she was thinking of what to do when his next words stunned her.
"But I'm a feminist."
 Pooja's eyes instantly brightened up. She sighed in relief and happily wiped sweat from face. She felt she couldn't have asked for a better opponent. 
Feminists saw every woman as a victim!
 It was even better than having a chivalrous man!
"I'm so happy to meet a feminist in this dangerous land," Pooja said with a sweet smile. 
Kiba responded with a smile as well, and said, "I hope you don't misunderstand but please know something."
"Know what?" Pooja asked, puzzled.
"I'm a true feminist," Kiba answered with the same smile as before. "Not some pseudo-feminist you might know."
"Huh?" Pooja was bewildered. 
Kiba observed her for a moment before explaining, "That means I'm a believer in equality."
Pooja didn't understand his words but his next action cleared all her doubts.
A fist rammed into her stomach like a truck. Her secret armor shattered into pieces and her body instantly turned pale.
"It means I shouldn't discriminate just because you are a woman," Kiba said as he lowered his fist. 
Pooja was in no state to reply. As soon as the punch made a contact, she was sent flying through air, coughing up an arrow of blood.
After flying for two hundred meters, she crashed into a wall. The rampaging force in her belly surged into the wall behind, and the wall cracked into fragments.
"AHHHHH!"
Pooja let out a heart-wrenching scream. She found her internal organs shattered, on brink of collapse. 
Her eyes erupted with tears and her face turned sickly yellow. 
Kiba slowly stepped forward and arrived before her. The dust on the ground swept away as he crouched down.
"It makes me happy to know you are happy to meet a feminist in this dangerous land," Kiba said with a sincere smile. 
His smile was filled with kindness but for her, it was like a smile of the devil. She found it hard to believe he would attack her so violently, without a hint of mercy, after acting the way he did previously.
Kiba took her chin in his hand and said, "A gentleman is someone who does not what he wants to do, but what he should do. I have forgotten something so obvious but thankfully you reminded me."

The library was filled with people; I didn't know that many students get detention. I head towards the librarian.
''Katherine Williams'' I say my name and he checks the name on the sheet and gives a tick mark, I return him a small smile and sit at the last bench of the library where no one can see me. I sit and start doing my calculus homework. suddenly the chair beside is pulled and someone takes the seat, I don't bother on checking who it is, so I continue doing my work

 I kept staring at him for 10 seconds and ''that was a hell of a speech'' I say clapping my hands and he rolls his eyes
 
Soon I hop on the back seat and Christian sits in the front, I tell him my address and zone out when they start talking about football. I keep staring outside the window and soon my eyelids start being heavy and I blackout.
