During the car ride we spoke at length about so many things and I laughed so hard he was so damn funny I came to the conclusion that all Nigerian men were funny. Soon the boys start talking about NFL and I continue checking why their trial balance didn't match. After maybe 15 minutes I figured out both their mistakes and looked up from the notebooks only to find, every seat of the table where I was seating was occupied by the football players. Soon I hop on the back seat and Christian sits in the front, I tell him my address and zone out when they start talking about football. I keep staring outside the window and soon my eyelids start being heavy and I blackout.

" Hey, wake up you sleepy head. " Maya pulled the covers from his body making him groan in annoyance. " What the hell baby, let me sleep some more time, I am tired. " He lay down on his stomach closing his eyes, attempting to sleep some more. But that wasn't going to happen. " Its already 8.15am, everyone is probably waiting for you at the dinning table. If you still wanna sleep then fine. I will tell them that you are sleeping. " With this Kunal sat up on the bed instantly, then ran towards the bathroom to complete his morning routine. Maya just laughed while wearing her earrings. 

She wore a beautiful light purple coloured lehenga with a sleeveless blouse and a long sleeveless jacket. Curled her hair and let them down. " Wow baby, you are looking soo beautiful in the morning. What's the occasion today? " Kunal hugged her from behind and praised while kissing her bare shoulders.

" Don't you even think about anything, mr. Bharadwaj. Last night you have had enough already. So now please get ready and let me get ready also. Today is the mehendi ceremony of Dip & big brother. " She pushed him away and continued wearing her accecories. After being pushed he started getting ready with a black face. 

" Good morning everyone. " They entered inside the dining hall where all the families were having breakfast and chatting with each other. " Good morning boys " Kunal's father greeted them in return. " Hey guys, you are back. " Rohit and Tuhin entered from behind and they gave each other a friendly hugs, then sat for breakfast.

In jail, after completing the formalities the criminals get hanged and asper their last wish, their dairy and other properties transferred to their families. Outside the jail, public started celebrating the hanging with sweets and colours, it turned into a mini festival for everyone. 

" Mrs. Sarkar, no tears, now the case is closed. Today we really won. So please have this sweet. " Soha urged her to have it, as some girls came to give them sweets.

" These are happy tears, madam. Today my daughter's justice completed. " She said and took the sweet from those girls.

" Madam, we want to spend our life in your Orphanage, between those children. We will remember our daughter in them. Can you please let us stay there? " Mr. Sarkar asked hopefully. 

" Sure, why not. As you wish, if you will move there then it will be very good. Those children will get the love of parents. That will be very kind of you, pack your luggage and my car will send you there. I will make the arrangements for you to stay there. " Soha agreed quickly, thinking about the children. The orphans will get parents and these couple will get children. 
" Madam, the mothers of those criminals are saying that their sons were the victim of the wrong judgement. Please say something on this topic. " A reporter asked her as she walked outside the jail premises.

Soha walked out from there finishing her statement, and sat on her car. Driver started the engine and sped off towards the helipad.

I don't get why everyone one is afraid of him but I am not, so I am aloud to say what I want. I really don't like him because I hear a lot of ill things about him and regardless of the fact that they might either true or false, I believe them anyways or what will be the reason of the great fear people have for him. In every rumor, there is a little amount of truth. 
" I don't know why Maria Mendoza is taking this too serious. she is not the first and I don't think she is the last either because we all know that he never stays in one relationship for long. "Joel states but I glare at him. How can he speak that way. Okay maybe I am being too much of a feminist but I don't care.

After some time he frowned and we knew there is something wrong but what could possibly go wrong after such a wonderful show. Stephen walk away from as so we could not hear what he and the person on the line talked about. The crew members started packing and putting the place back in other.
Joel grabs my hand gently and takes me to a quiet place.
"Mandy, I think bad news is coming and it's about the show. Mr Montenegro is very ruthless." 
"Daddy, you worry too much. I am not afraid so don't be."
"Mandy, this is a serious issue...."
"Daddy, am not afraid. come on.

"Joel, please. I need your comfort instead you trying to make me panic. Come on."

Ting was hired by the Southeast Asian drug lords to protect their opium. Ting has a way to treat trespassers by decapitate them without showing any remorse. He would display their severed heads on his posts as a warning for upcoming potential poachers/trespassers. One day, Ting receives a word/call from somebody that a couple more poachers/trespassers, who are being initiated, are out. Ting prepares his machete, hops on his ATV and chases the two wannabe drug smugglers. In the heat of the chase, the two wannabe drug smugglers hide and Ting turns his speeder around, but he forgets one important thing; the barbed-wire fence that he installed a few days earlier. As his speeder drives through the fence, the top wire of the fence ironically decapitates Ting, sending him to hell for his crimes.
Way To Die #507: Motercykilled

A couple of stoners, Joe and Charlie, created a bong out of clay, the Claymaker 420. Along with using weed and smoke, they used flavor disks to flavor the weed; chopped bacon, coffee-dipped paper, orange peels, any flavor. After they finished their creation, all they had to do was to bake it into a kiln. Their female friend had one in her backyard, and she put the bong in the kiln. After she turned on the propane, all three of them smoke cannabis. Over time, Joe and Charlie went to see how the kiln was doing. After noticing that the kiln's flame was out, all they had to do was to light a match to warm it up. Instead, the lit up match turns the bong into a bomb, and turns the clay into deadly shrapnel, and the resulting explosion kills the two stoners. Their female friend was not only shocked and a little scared, but also a little bummed.

Big Mike was a man who loved eating, especially at buffets. Big Mike then walked into an All You Can Eat Chinese buffet. He then went on binge eating Chinese food, which was loaded with MSG (Monosodium glutamate), a flavor enhancing chemical which is normally harmless but has been researched into its potential to result in people eating to excess.
Devouring any food he could get his hands on, Big Mike stopped only once when he was choking after a fifth plate of spare ribs. The owner of the buffet, however, saved him from choking and he resumed eating. After he was done stuffing his face, Mike did not pay the owner a tip and grabbed a bunch of fortune cookies to eat, and the owner told him to leave.
While leaving, Mike suffered from a sudden heart attack caused by the sheer amount of food and MSG he had gorged on. As he fell, the back of his head struck the ground, cracking his skull open like the shell of an egg. The owner of the restaurant approached and attempted to wake him up, but it was already too late.

And you won't find it on this show. The episode begins where Barnaby is decorating a room getting ready for his first born when really... the baby is Barnaby. When they spot a rare turtle, they think it would make a quick one-thousand dollars. Before Mr. Chow could grab the turtle, a bald eagle swoops down out of nowhere and picks the turtle up with its talons. The eagle tries to break the turtle's shell by dropping it at high altitude, but the turtle end up lands on Mr. Chow's head, breaking through his skull and sending him into cardiac arrest. Meaning if one didn't kill him, the other did, thus sending him to Hell as he deserved. This ends up leaving his now-widowed wife, Mrs. Chow, screaming in horror. Miraculously, the turtle survives the fall and crawls away.

    "Kak nash rebenok?" my mom squeals through the phone.  Her face looks pixelated due to the time difference and likely poor cell coverage from where she's at.  Still, I am happy to see her. 

    "English, Mama," I remind her.  "We all need the practice.  And I am not a baby." 

    "You are still your mother's baby," my father scolds, standing behind her shoulder.  "Are you being good?  Staying away from the party crowd?" 

    "Of course, I am, Papa.  Irina is another story, though." 

    "As always," my dad says.  Then he mutters, "Bol'shaya problema." 

    Big trouble.  Well, he's not wrong there.

    "How is dorm room?" Mama asks, her English jerky. 

    I flip the screen so they can see the room while I tell them about how Georg paid to get me a private room.  My father grumbles again in Russian, something along the lines of, "On tratit slishkom mnogo deneg."  Translation?  My brother spends too much money.  He is hard to hear in the background, but it would be right on point for him.  Papa is a frugal man and my brother is not, and never has been.  Still, he leans in and says he is glad I am able to have my own space and he thinks I must be safer that way.

    Safety - always my father's primary concern. 

    "You are make friends?" Mama asks. 

    "Yes.  I mean, it has only been a couple of weeks but so far, things are good. There is a guy in one of my classes, Jay, who seems nice." 

    "A man?" Papa booms in the background. 

    I roll my eyes at my mom and she giggles.  "Just a friend, Papa.  I think I need to get a job or volunteer somewhere.  I might be able to meet some people.  Or join a club.  I have not decided." 

    "Is there a Russian heritage group or something?" he asks. 

    I scrunch one side of my face at the thought.  "Why would I want to hang out with a bunch of Russian people, Papa?  I just left Russia." 

    "Safer for you, my Zoya.  How are your studies?  Focus on grades first, social life second." 

    "They are mostly good.  It is very early in the semester. There is plenty of time." 

    "Do not fall behind.  You are there to learn." 

    "Yes, Papa.  I know this.  I am committed." 

    "Good girl.  Mama and I are proud of you." 

    "I struggle with my statistics class," I admit. 

    "Oh, I am good at statistics," Papa says. 

    "You should be.  Coaching all these years."  

    "Perhaps you need a tutor?" 

    A shrug is all I can give him in response.  I have never needed a tutor before this class.  Maybe it is because my classes are all in English now.

    "Get one if you need one.  Do not let yourself get too far behind."

    "I won't." 

    Then he says, "Well, maybe having a job or volunteer role might keep you away from the party scene." 

    I have to laugh at him.  "Have you ever met me?"  I never party, and they know that.  My sister, on the other hand? 

    My father seems to remember who he is talking to, because he says, "We should probably call and check in on Irina." 

    A huff of a laugh escapes me.  "Uh, yeah.  Though good luck trying to control that one." 

    "Is she being bad?" Mama asks. 

    "She is being Irina," I answer.  "I think she likes it here, though. Feminist heaven." 

    My mom makes a confused face.  She does not understand the "feminist heaven" part.  My father does, though, based on the smirk on his face.  He stops smirking when I tell a story about how Irina got in a shouting match with a man on the street who was harassing a prostitute.  My father is, of course, mortified and says he's going to call Georg and have him keep a better eye on us.

    "Georg is busy, Papa.  He has his own life and he is in season.  Everyone loves him here.  They love the team." 

    My father relaxes the minute I start talking hockey.  He asks if I have been to a game and I say no, but that we went to a mid-season press event and met a lot of the players and staff.  He says I should at least go to one game to cheer on my brother.

    "He would like it," Mama agrees.  "To see you on the seats."

    "It is fun to watch a winning team, Zoya," Papa adds.  "The crowd will be loud.  It will be fun." 

    "I have had enough hockey fun to last my whole life, thank you.  Georg can live without having me in the stands." 

    "One game, Zoya," my father says sternly. 

    "Okay, okay.  Fine.  I will go to one game.  But for now, I need to get going on some homework.  Did I mention I hate my stats class?"

    "No, you say trouble," my mother says.  "No hate."

    "Okay, I greatly dislike the class because it is giving me trouble.  How is that, Mama?"

    "Better.  Get tutor."

    We talk for a few more minutes but then I insist I need to get off the phone to study.  It is getting late there, so they agree to let me go.  I know they miss seeing us.  I miss them, but honestly, only having to report in over the phone is much nicer than being watched over my shoulder every day.  Papa is like any other Russian father - protect family at all costs.  It is all he knows.  It is all I know.  But with the feeling of freedom alive in Vegas, I am enjoying being away from home right now...so much more than I thought I would.  Even though Mama's eyes looked sad as I said goodbye, I know getting a life in Vegas will make her proud and happy.  This is for you, Mama.  But it is also for me.

    I am allowed exactly twenty minutes of quiet study time before my sister barges through my door, her eyes bright and an excited smile lighting up her face. 

    "Come with me.  I'm getting my first tattoo today!"  

    "Papa is going to murder you, Rina." 

    "He will not.  It will be fine." 

    "He is going to call you.  I just hung up with him and Mama twenty minutes ago."

    "Well, you don't have to answer just because they call," she says. 

    "That is rude.  They are our parents.  They pay our tuition." 

    "Whatever.  Are you coming with me or not?" 

    "I have so much work to do - "

    "Don't be such a drag.  I need you there with me." 

    I make a face but then get up and pull on some jeans and an oversized, black T-shirt.  I twist my hair up into a messy bun and slip on a pair of lemon-yellow Keds.  Irina bounces impatiently while I get ready, and the second I look presentable, she grabs my hand and literally tows me from my room.  At least that has been consistent since I arrived.  Irina pulling me toward something drama-filled.

    "I hope you will not end up regretting this, Rina."

    "I never regret, little sister.  Never."

Dani - 

‘You are so incredible baby.’ 

I fed her another chocolate covered strawberry. 

Brooke: ‘I've never seen you like that, that was probably the most intense dinner I've ever attended, and dinner can be pretty intense at home.’ 

‘This has been an amazing trip.’ 

Brooke: ‘You're so sexy when you're in your zone.’ 

‘And you're sexy when you're feeling confident in yourself baby girl. I was so proud of you tonight.’ 

Brooke: ‘I was just honest.’ 

‘It took so much courage to be so honest though.’ 

Brooke: ‘It was because of you, honestly. He asked me if I would do anything differently from you for a reason. He wanted me uncomfortable and wanted to push me.’ 

‘He wanted to see if you would kiss my ass or be honest. He wanted to see if you could stand on your own, and baby, you stood tall. Telling him that that despite the respect and recognition that I've earned, that as my intern you would have acted a little differently towards him. You said there was nothing wrong with how I acted, just simply that you might have been a little different. Like how I didn't let him pour my wine, or pull out my seat.’ 

Brooke: ‘Well I understand that you're a powerful woman, who's earned her place in her field. You don't need anyone to pull out your seat, or open your door, but I guess I just like how my mom would let people anyways, especially my dad. She always says that if it felt like they were doing it to imply that she couldn't do whatever it was herself, sometimes she would deny them, other times she simply accepted it with confidence, showing that she only accepted at her own discretion. I like chivalry, as old fashioned as it is. Of course, I believe women don't need men to open their doors, but I think it's nice when they do. It's not like we can't open a door, but it's sweet when a man offers. I'm a feminist, I believe women can do anything men can, I believe in equality, I guess I just like the thought of simple acts of kindness. If someone is willing to be a gentleman, I like to let them.’ 

‘You're amazing baby girl.’ 

I put my finger under her chin and guided her into a kiss. 

‘I said before that you wouldn't affect the outcome of the deal, but I believe that I was wrong. He said he could take or leave the numbers, but he wanted to know who he was really getting into bed with. If you had acted as if I intimidated you or you felt like you had to answer a certain way, I think we would be having tequila right now. I might have done the heavy lifting, but you absolutely sealed the deal baby.’ 

Brooke: ‘I'm very happy I've made you proud Ma'am.’ 

‘It really does make me think you could go so far here baby. I know the thought of keeping our secret a secret isn't your favorite, but if you would like to consider becoming my formal assistant after your time as an intern is over, I think we could both take this company by storm.’ 

Brooke: ‘Do you think that's what I should do?’ 

‘I think it would be a great step but ultimately that's a decision you have to make angel. I'll talk about it as much as you would like, but you have to choose that.’ 

Brooke: ‘My mom would be happy, she always says she wanted to see me work my way up to where both our names were on the door.’ 

‘It's really sweet to want to make your mom proud also, but it's not about her either. If your heart's desire was to go be an artist, I would encourage you to go to art school. No matter what makes me, your mom, or anyone else happy, at the end of the day it's only about you, what makes you happy. You need to find out what fulfills you baby, not just something you're good at.’ 

Brooke: ‘I guess I still have a lot to learn.’ 

‘You certainly do, and I'll be here to help every step of the way.’ 

I leaned into another kiss and we took another sip. 

She sat her glass on her bedside table and I did the same. 

Rolling into me she sighed and I wrapped tightly around her. 

Brooke: ‘But now, can our business trip be over, so that we can start our us time?’ 

I didn't bother answering verbally, I simply rolled her into her back, remaining over her as I engaged in a long, slow kiss.

A young intern is assigned to the company's most intense and driven employee, Dani Lovelace. Dani typically refuses interns but has no choice when her superiors made the arrangement. Neither Dani nor her intern Brooke had any idea just how involved their relationship would become. They do their best to maintain a professional relationship, which grows into a platonic partnership,  before they finally give into their true desires and feelings. 



The reporter didn't know what to think when Greg Marshall called her and asked her to come over to the house. At first she thought it was a prank call but she knew his voice well enough to know it wasn't. 
She didn't ask any questions about the visit over the phone and once she hung up, she began to wonder of his intentions and the possible outcomes this visit could have.
He was definitely popular for his ability to seduce women of all sorts. Before his marriage, every woman she knew would have gladly given him the opportunity to wine and dine her- hell, even now that he was married, some still wondered if he had given up his old ways.
She wondered the same thing because she didn't want to be his next victim. She knew men like him and he could easily try to use his charms on her to shake off the scent of the story she had picked up in California. But then again, his motive could be different.
What if he wanted her to witness him playing the faithful husband? She wouldn't be so easily fooled this time around- the history she knew could easily be played out today. The only thing that would change is the first name of the woman involved with the charming Greg Marshall.
No, she wouldn't be fooled by the Marshalls and Quinton's act of marital bliss. She would be ready for whatever they presented.
She wouldn't get so excited to imagine a full blown confession, but she was willing to keep an open mind. She would hear Mr. Marshall out and then she would write it up for all the angry women in the country who loved Quinton's ready to wear, high fashion and tailor made ensembles and thought she deserved better.
It probably wouldn't be more than confirmation of the truth she knew to be.
Mentally she reiterated her views as she got out of her car and looked up at the marvellous house the two of them purportedly built together. If the outside was a subtle implication of the inside, the two of them had learned a thing or two about luxury from their parents.
The housekeeper received her graciously and led her to the first sitting room.
"Mr. Marshall will be down in a moment. Would you like some tea?" Mrs. McNaugh asked her.
"No thank you- some water would be nice though."
"Very well."
Her water arrived before the man of the house did. When he did show up, he looked just as handsome and receptive as ever.
He gave her a normal, friendly smile as he approached. Reaching out his hand, he greeted her.
"Ashley. Thanks for coming."
"My pleasure, Mr. Marshall."
"Do you mind if we move this to a more informal room? I want you to see me as I am, not some stuck up Ivy Leaguer who treats women like interchangeable car accessories."
Ashley would have to be the most obtuse person in the state to miss the edge in his voice and the anger that flashed in his eyes briefly. Then he was the perfect host, pointing out the state of the art design studios that were side by side and the other facilities available on the first floor, before ushering her into the second, informal sitting room.
Greg was wearing khakis and a golf shirt that brought out the colour of his grey eyes. He smiled again as they sat down, his perfect teeth a flash of white in his evenly tanned face. Ashley had to admit he was gorgeous.
His shirt hugged him slightly around the triceps and across his broad chest. It was open at the throat and Ashley couldn't help notice that his tan seemed unending. Up his neck, she saw the same strong jaw she'd seen in California. The same mouth currently stretched in an inviting half smile. His eyes set perfectly above a perfect nose were sparkling with friendliness.
No, she couldn't complain about his looks. Donna hadn't done badly for a trophy husband.
But she wasn't going to be swayed by his looks, she reminded herself firmly.
Greg was used to the frank appraisal Ashley Warner was giving him- women often stared at him- but then he saw her resolve harden again and he stifled a tired sigh. This was going to take a while.
"I called you here to find out why you have it in for me."
Warner opened her mouth and closed it when Greg raised a hand and said, "Before you spin a tale, hear me out. I don't think you know me as well as you think you do- you have put me in this hideous category and yet you and I have never done what we are doing right now- speaking face to face."
She had the grace to break eye contact before saying, "Be that as it may, your track record speaks for itself. If you were so upset, why haven't you ever charged me with libel or slander?"
"Because I have greater issues to deal with than a local reporter's bitter view on sexually active men." He said with just enough disdain in his voice. "My lawyers have done a good job to quell the fire you and your feminist comets like to keep setting in my field."
She fought the blush, but was sure she had turned a pleasant pink.
"Anyway." He said, steering the conversation back to his point. "Tell me why I am your preferred victim? Why not my unmarried buddy Craig? He has far less to lose than I do." He said honestly.
Ashley tilted her head to one side, the way she had seen Donna do once during her first appointment. Greg's eyes narrowed and she was sure he recognized the gesture or it at least reminded him of her.
"I think you know on some level. I am curious to know what it is that both the DQ sisters see in you- I don't see the logic behind her choosing you as well. You have been caught with your pants down this time and I think it proves that Donna Quinton-"
"Marshall." He corrected.
"-Deserves a better mate than you. It's people like you that tarnish the images of professional women and make us look like fools for being with you."
A month ago, that might have just rolled right off Greg's back, but now it made him mad as hell. He didn't show it though. "'Caught with my pants down'?" He mocked gently, the humour never reaching his eyes. "As far as I know you only have your imagination supporting this theory." Then he dismissed her statement with a wave of his hand. "We are well suited for and to each other- don't tell me you don't see it." He said almost amicably.
The reporter shrugged, not willing to commit.
"You know that it's actually people like you who help drag women like her through the dirt. It would never have been an issue if you hadn't done that piece on me in California. I can't believe that you can't see that. She has already made her choice and I'm pretty sure I heard the priest say 'What God has brought together let no man put asunder'. This is for life and you really have no place assuming I forced her into the marriage or that she has made a huge mistake."
"I can't believe you'd actually mention the Lord's name in this conversation."
"If you value Him that much then, why are you trying to destroy my marriage?"
"I am only shedding light on what is bound to happen in the future. It didn't take you long to fall out of the matrimonial bed."
"You don't know what you're talking about, Ashley and you're treading on thin ice." He told her, keeping his tone even but his eyes turned glacial.
She seemed pleased that she was upsetting him. "I know what I saw and I know what I heard."
"From a retired Spanish song writer? She would say anything to get a bit of media cover." Greg said scathingly.
"Be that as it may, you failed to hold up your end of the bargain." Ashley reminded him.
He really disliked being reminded about his moment of weakness. He smoothed his hands over his shorts and counted to ten before saying anything to the reporter. "You act like you've never made any mistakes before. Someone must have turned you into the empty soul you are now... Who broke your heart, Miss Warner?" He asked softly.
Donna had spent the morning in bed. Greg had spent some time with her, they had eaten breakfast together and then he had read the newspapers before heading downstairs to do some work. He told her again on his way out that he was expecting someone at the house. She hadn't asked who. Her response had been a yawn and a lazy wave.
Now she was bathed, dressed and ready to do something with her day. She would look over some sketches she had to take care of for an early week meeting and then she was going to call up Shirley and go for a drink at a juice bar.
As she headed downstairs, she wondered if her stomach ached due to hunger pangs or it was the baby playing with her digestion again. She resolved to get some food but voices on the first floor stopped her.
She could see no one in Greg's studio so she headed to the living room. Both voices sounded familiar- one being Greg's, the other she wasn't too sure about. Just as she was about to push open the door, she heard the woman say "You know, I wanted to be the woman in your life quite badly."
"I don't believe this." Greg said, sounding a bit incredulous.
"Oh, it's true." Ashley said candidly, not sounding tortured or distraught in any way. "After your fiancé died and I started digging into your history, I found out about Carlita and I figured you could do with a focused, accomplished partner. The more I sought the story, the more I liked you and the direction your life was taking.
"I went to the Quinton's place for a scope on where they featured in your life and whether I stood a chance against the memory of Diana Quinton. I figured I did- it was more likely you'd choose me over her little sister at the time."
"I've never met you in my life."
Warner laughed. "I know. I was very idealistic then and my imagination took me to the heights of success. Things didn't turn out the way I wanted them to- I fell pregnant by the man in my life at the time. The guy left me soon after he found out and I was forced to abandon my young selfish existence and get ready to grow up and have a baby. Now I have a beautiful nine year old daughter."
"What does this have to do with me?"
The arrival of her baby had successfully put paid to her plans of snagging the handsome bachelor, she told him. She had managed to forget him and live her life with a greater amount of contentment until that fateful night in the hotel bar. Just as she had begun to gather the guts to go talk to him, the Carlita lookalike had approached him and she had watched him succumb to her wiles. It had, simply put, disgusted her.
"You're just like other men- you think you can walk all over us and give us your babies."
Greg looked at her like she was crazy. "I am nothing like that. Even Marie- my greatest romantic mistake- will tell you that I appreciate women very much. I don't mistreat my wife and I take great offense when you imply that I do. You can't change the world by embarrassing families and destroying marriages, Warner. Didn't anyone ever tell you that?"
Ashley Warner didn't get a chance to respond because that was when Donna pushed the door open and stood there looking at the two of them.
"Donna." Ashley said, a little startled.
They both stood up, Ashley moved by inexplicable fear and Greg motivated to make sure Donna and the baby were alright.
"What the hell is going on?" Donna asked him.
She seemed fine.
"I called Ashley over here to clear the air."
"And how is that going?" She asked casting a sardonic look at the reporter.
"She thinks I am a sadistic playboy."
Donna gave a little laugh, "Indeed, air needs to be cleared then. Shall we sit down?" She waited until Ashley had taken her seat and then she sat down on the sofa with Greg.
"What gives you the impression that Greg is a bad person? I have known you to be a feminist but why are you so hell bent on degrading my husband?" Donna asked the reporter. "You're making it quite personal."
Ashley was quiet for a long time and then she said, "I have evidence that Greg is hiding something from his past. For my own interest I was willing to overlook it, but I have grown up a lot since I had a young woman's crush on Greg." She explained to Donna, not knowing how much she may have heard already. "I have a nine year old daughter and as a single mother, things affect you differently. I have come to the decision that it's better you know now, while you still have a chance to back out of all this." She gestured vaguely to her surroundings.
Greg and Donna both knew that Donna would do just about anything to keep her dream house. She had more claim on it than her husband did in more ways than one. Neither of them bothered to let Ashley in on that nugget.
"What is it that you want to tell us." Donna asked, "That you think may make me leave my house and my husband, Miss Warner? He's not the father of your baby is he?" Her tone was mocking.
Greg had seen Donna's hand clench slightly at the mention of a child and wondered if it was the reminder of her first baby or the prospect of another case where Greg was accused of reneging paternal responsibilities that put the edge in his wife's tone.
"No." Ashley said, blushing a little. "He's not the father of my child, but there is a baby in his past that he hasn't told you about- of this I am almost certain."
Donna went deathly pale. "I beg your pardon?"
"Diana was pregnant when she died."
That statement hung in the air for a long moment.
Donna was the first to speak. "I know that she was. If that is all you have in store, then you have wasted your time building up a case against Gregory."
Ashley was stunned that neither of them seemed too shocked. It was more like they were trying to figure out how she knew.
"I can't believe that you knew the truth and you still married him." Ashley said. "It offends me as a woman and more so as a mother!"
"Well, I am not here to please you or support your feminist ideals." Donna said, irked by the tone of the reporter's voice. "I don't have to explain myself to you and neither does Greg."
"Now that we are on the same page, will you let this go?" Greg asked then. "Donna and I have been honest with each other and she already knows that."
"Did you tell her about the abortion arrangements too?" Ashley wondered out loud.
Donna leap up and shouted, "Will you stop this? I don't care what you have found out about this man and my sister- Let her rest in peace. I have had enough of you reporters and your incessant need to bring her up!"
"Reporters exist to illuminate the truth." Ashley went on insistently. "The fact that you are unconcerned about the past means you are a willing conspirator. Frankly, I am quite surprised that you're not bothered by Greg wanting your sister to abort their love child."
"Abort their-?" Donna's hand went involuntarily to her stomach. "If you are not going to leave my house, then I will! You have no idea what you are saying."
With that, Donna left the room.
Greg stared at Ashley Warner. "What are you trying to do, Miss Warner?"
"Expose you for the true monster you are." Ashley insisted.
"You are a hateful human being and you have no idea what you have just done." He said stalking out the room.
"I told the truth!" She called after him, stung by being called hateful. She stood up and smoothed the wrinkles out of her skirt.
Greg saw Donna heading toward the front door. "Donna!" He shouted, taking the stairs two at a time.
She didn't stop or look back so he kept moving after her. He passed Mrs. McNaugh on the way and he said, "See Miss Warner out, please."
"Of course." The housekeeper proceeded upstairs and down the hall. She found the subject of her instructions standing alone in the sitting room.
"I trust you had a satisfactory meeting with the Marshalls." The older lady said stiffly.
"Yes. I think I did." Ashley replied, smugly.
Mrs. McNaugh turned her nose up slightly and said, "So you won't mind leaving now."
Ashley did not protest but preceded the housekeeper down the stairs.
