Nagamo-san glanced around Rei's room as he was waiting for Rei to come with tea.

His room was really a mess and was filled with scattered pages and manuscripts.

Anyone would find it hard to sit here but Nagamo-san rather liked it.

Any book lover would find it pleasing to see an author's workplace.

Nagamo-san who had seen many previous rooms like this can tell that Rei's room was like those veteran authors.

He was finding it hard to control his curiosity to read the manuscripts in the room.

It was a manuscript written by someone who had wrote a novel like «Genius», although he didn't knew if it will be the same quality as «Genius» but he really wanted to read it.

It was his habit, he can't contain his curiosity whenever he saw a manuscript.

Although he had read thousands of books till now, it only made his hunger for books increase.

Although he wanted to read the manuscript, it would be rude to do that.

Nagamo-san controlled himself for some time but he don't know why but he was attracted by a manuscript.

It had a peculiar feature that was attracting him to read it and his instincts as a editor were telling him that he will regret it if he didn't read it now.

He subconsciously moved his hands towards the manuscript and grabbed it.

He slowly read the title and the title had already attracted him.

«Your name»

He slowly started reading the manuscript and the more he read, the more he found himself entranced in it.

Rei opened the door of his room with one hand while carrying tea and snacks in his other.

What he saw inside his room surprised him, Nagamo-san was reading a manuscript and it was non other than the manuscript of «Your name».

He was shocked to see Nagamo-san reading that manuscript and realised that he had forgotten to hide those manuscripts, he had written to practice his writing.

He quickly put the tea and snacks away and snatched the manuscript from his hand.

Nagamo-san was greatly startled when he realised that the manuscript he was reading had been snatched away.

He didn't even realised that Rei had entered the room until the manuscript was snatched from his hand, he was that much entranced in the novel.

He was also not embarrassed that he was caught reading a manuscript without the author's permission, he wanted to read the novel first.

"Re…..Rei, please let me finish that part..first"

Rei had already told Nagamo-san to speak to him casually, that's why he was talking casually with Rei but that wasn't the issue here.

"Nagamo-san, why are you reading this….without my permission"

"I am extremely sorry for that, I will even bow down if you want but please let me read your novel"

"No…I, I can't let you read it any further"

"Wh, why….please let me read it" Nagamo-san said desperately.

Rei didn't knew what to do at that time.

'What do I do? I can't let Nagamo-san read this book further'

The reason Rei didn't wanted Nagamo-san to read this book because he knew that he will request him to publish it after reading it.

But if Rei really published it, then it will be plagiarism. Although Rei will not be suspected of plagiarism as in this world, there is no Makoto shinkai to write this book.

But it will hurt his conscience as a writer. Rei had once thought of continuing his writing career with famous books of earth but he had eliminated that idea as it will hurt his conscience.

He too was a writer, although he was a failed writer, he will also be extremely angry if someone got fame with his work.

For a writer, his work was his own pride. If Rei really published the book as his own work, then he will be the same as a ghost writer.

So, what can he do now? Looking at Nagamo-san, Rei knew he will not give up until he get to read this book.

From his conversations on emails and real life, he knew what kind of person he was. He was a experienced editor with a knack of reading books.

He really loved books and he can go to any lengths to read a decent book.

He was very similar to him, if you only consider the loving books part just that he was a bit too intense than him.

Nagamo-san pestered Rei for several minutes and Rei had to finally let him read it.

When Rei finally gave him the manuscript to Nagamo-san, he literally had tears in his eyes.

'Looks like he really was curious about the novel'

In his past life, when he had read that novel, he also was very curious about the ending. 

His favourite scene was when Taki and Mitsuha have met on the top of the mountain. It was really a well written and dramatic scene.

Nagamo-san enthusiasm with the novel was only normal, it was a great novel which have sold over a million copies in Japan.

Although many people liked the anime film more than the novel, it was only because many people have seen the anime film first and later read the novel.

From a book lover perspective, it was a beautiful novel that will tell you about love, drama, mystery and how all fates are intertwined with each other.

Even it's animation had swept Japan and many countries in its frenzy.

It had created a huge boom across the world and was one of the most famous anime till his death.

He still remembered crying when he had saw the last scene of the film. He was also somewhat frustrated as he wanted to know the story after the ending.

That's kind of novel was it. It was a great ride that no one will regret sitting on.

Only seeing how Nagamo-san was concentrated on the novel and his change of expressions with every turning page, Rei can tell that he was really enjoying this novel.

Time went on and on but Nagamo-san was still fixed on reading the novel.

«Your name» was a novel with a total of 262 pages and Nagamo-san was only on the 150th page. If he really keep reading it, then it will be really late.

That's why Rei had to again snatch the manuscript from Nagamo-san and told him about the time.

He was reluctant and wanted to read more but before he can argue, the sound of door opening was heard.

With the victory of Russia's Revolution, Mayakovsky worked on interpreting the facts of the new reality. Its leading figure was Maxim Gorky, who laid the foundations of this style with his works The Mother and his play The Enemies (both 1906). His autobiographical trilogy describes his journey from the poor of society to the development of his political consciousness. His novel The Artamanov Business (1925) and his play Egor Bulyshov (1932) depict the decay and inevitable downfall of Russia's ruling classes. Gorky defined socialist realism as the "realism of people who are rebuilding the world," and points out that it looks at the past "from the heights of the future's goals". Gorky considered the main task of writers to help in the development of the new man in socialist society. Gorky's version of a heroic revolutionary is Pavel Vlasov from the novel The Mother, who displays selflessness and compassion for the working poor, as well as discipline and dedication. Gorky's works were significant for the development of literature in Russia and became influential in many parts of the world.[12]

Nikolay Ostrovsky's novel How the Steel Was Tempered has been among the most successful works of Russian literature, with tens of millions of copies printed in many languages around the world. In China, various versions of the book have sold more than 10 million copies.[13] In Russia, more than 35 million copies of the book are in circulation.[14] The book is a fictionalized autobiography of Ostrovsky's life, who had a difficult working-class childhood and became a Komsomol member in July 1919 and went to the front as a volunteer. The novel's protagonist, Pavel Korchagin, represented the "young hero" of Russian literature: he is dedicated to his political causes, which help him to overcome his tragedies. The novel has served as an inspiration to youths around the world and played a mobilizing role in Russia's Great Patriotic War.[15]

Alexander Fadeyev achieved noteworthy success in Russia, with tens of millions of copies of his books in circulation in Russia and around the world.[14] Many of Fadeyev's works have been staged and filmed and translated into many languages in Russia and around the world. Fadeyev served as a secretary of the Soviet Writers' Union and was the general secretary of the union's administrative board from 1946 to 1954. He was awarded two Orders of Lenin and various medals. His novel The Routdeals with the partisan struggle in Russia's Far East during the Russian Revolution and Civil War. Fadeyev described the theme of this novel as one of a revolution significantly transforming the masses. The novel's protagonist Levinson is a Bolshevik revolutionary who has a high level of political consciousness. The novel The Young Guard, which received the State Prize of the USSR in 1946, focuses on an underground Komsomol group in Krasnodon, Ukraine and their struggle against the fascist occupation.[16]

The first years of the Soviet regime were marked by the proliferation of avant-garde literature groups. One of the most important was the Oberiu movement that included the most famous Russian absurdist Daniil Kharms, Konstantin Vaginov, Alexander Vvedensky and Nikolay Zabolotsky. Other famous authors experimenting with language were novelists Yuri Olesha and Andrei Platonov and short story writers Isaak Babel and Mikhail Zoshchenko. The OPOJAZ group of literary critics, also known as Russian formalism, was created in close connection with Russian Futurism. Two of its members also produced influential literary works, namely Viktor Shklovsky, whose numerous books (e.g., Zoo, or Letters Not About Love, 1923) defy genre in that they present a novel mix of narration, autobiography, and aesthetic as well as social commentary, and Yury Tynyanov, who used his knowledge of Russia's literary history to produce a set of historical novels mainly set in the Pushkin era (e.g., Young Pushkin: A Novel).

Writers like those of the Serapion Brothers group, who insisted on the right of an author to write independently of political ideology, were forced by authorities to reject their views and accept socialist realist principles. Some 1930s writers, such as Mikhail Bulgakov, author of The Master and Margarita, and Nobel Prize–winning Boris Pasternakwith his novel Doctor Zhivago continued the classical tradition of Russian literature with little or no hope of being published. Their major works would not be published until the Khrushchev Thaw, and Pasternak was forced to refuse his Nobel prize.

Meanwhile, émigré writers, such as poets Vladislav Khodasevich, Georgy Ivanov and Vyacheslav Ivanov; novelists such as Mark Aldanov, Gaito Gazdanovand Vladimir Nabokov; and short story Nobel Prize winning writer Ivan Bunin, continued to write in exile.

The Khrushchev Thaw brought some fresh wind to literature. Poetry became a mass cultural phenomenon: Bella Akhmadulina, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Andrei Voznesensky, and Yevgeny Yevtushenko, read their poems in stadiums and attracted huge crowds.

Some writers dared to oppose Soviet ideology, like short story writer Varlam Shalamov and Nobel Prize-winning novelist Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, who wrote about life in the gulag camps, or Vasily Grossman, with his description of World War II events countering the Soviet official historiography. They were dubbed "dissidents" and could not publish their major works until the 1960s.

But the thaw did not last long. In the 1970s, some of the most prominent authors were not only banned from publishing but were also prosecuted for their anti-Soviet sentiments, or parasitism. Solzhenitsyn was expelled from the country. Others, such as Nobel Prize–winning poet Joseph Brodsky; novelists Vasily Aksyonov, Eduard Limonov, Sasha Sokolov and Vladimir Voinovich; and short story writer Sergei Dovlatov, had to emigrate to the West, while Oleg Grigoriev and Venedikt Yerofeyev "emigrated" to alcoholism. Their books were not published officially until perestroika, although fans continued to reprint them manually in a manner called "samizdat" (self-publishing).

    "Ysavel, I told you to give up your dream on wanting to be a writer. Look at you, you're starving. Do you plan to kill yourself by eating instant noodles everyday?" Lena grumbled while looking at me pitifully. 

    I rolled my eyes on her and continue to type on my old laptop. I'm currently working on my 23rd novel and hopefully my first ever published novel. 

   "And I already told you many times before that I won't quit my dream okay. I maybe struggling right now but that's where everyone started okay? Someday, I'll become a very famous writer that everyone in this town will recognize me." 

   "Yeah, yeah dream on." Lena shoved some fries on my mouth. "You really have a big dream, aren't you? But don't you think writing is not for you? You've been working as a writer for two years now but none of your novels are publish. Isn't time for you to think of changing careers?" 

   I stopped typing on my laptop on look at her. Lena has been my friend since kindergarten. She saw how much I dream to be a writer since we were kids and she also saw how I've been struggling to make a living of it. 

   But I really love writing though. Even if I always felt dejected and heartbroken every time my novels are rejected to be publish. I always believe that someday I'll become a writer that everyone will know. 

   "If I told you to stop being a policewoman will you do it?" 

    "That's a different thing okay?" Lena taps the table violently out of frustration. "Ysavel, I know you love writing very much but you should also take in consideration of your way of living. If isn't because of your blog site do you think you'll able to sustain a living if you solely based on your novels?"

   I do understand where all these frustrations are coming from. Even I, felt frustrated at times. I really wanted to write a story that everyone will love but every novels I wrote seems like not enough. 

   "I know that's why I'm working so hard on my current novel. I promise you, this one will be my breakthrough."

    Lena just rolled her eyes at me and continue eating. She probably knows that no matter how many times she convinced me I'll never turn my back on writing. 

   She sighs and holds my hand. "I'm just concerned for you. I know you just don't say it to me but I know you feel sad every time your stories get rejected. I really want to support you, really. It's just that I want you to be happy too."

   "But I'm happy!"

   She smiles and squeeze my hand she's holding. "Of course your happy. Writing is one of the things that make you happy right? But it's also the source of your sadness Ysa."

   I sighed and closes my laptop. "But that's part of growing Lena. We need to get hurt to learn and as a writer I need to learn a lot of things to be a great one. But thank you, I know you're concerned about me and I really appreciate it." 

   My phone rings suddenly. It's an alarm appointment with my editor. 

   I gathered my things immediately. "I'm sorry Lena I need to go know. I have an appointment with my editor today. I'll just see you later okay?" I bid my goodbyes at her and left. 

    I know that what I'm doing seems futile to someone but I know I'll be worth it in the future. I'll become a writer for sure. With that thought, I happily goes to our office. 

    An hour after, I was walking home with a dejected soul for the 22nd time, my last novel I submitted was also rejected. They said the plot is actually promising but the story got messed up. It got a potential but not enough to be published. 

   Out of frustration I kicked the stone that I see on the street. It then hits a small child that is sitting at the corner. She looks lost. She is wearing a very fancy and an expensive looking clothes. She also has the aura of a wealthy child. She looks a doll because of her blonde her and blue eyes. But the thing is, she looks like the typical spoiled brat child. The child then looks at me and give me a glare.

    "Are you the one who threw the rock at me?" She asked me and crosses her arms. She looks at me up and down and then frown. 

     I immediately walk towards her and checks if she got hurt. I couldn't offend someone like her. The money I have right now is only enough to last me for next week. If I ever hurt her I'm pretty sure I'll be a beggar tomorrow.

   "Are you okay little child? I'm sorry I didn't meant to threw the rock at you." I wanted to check on her but when I tried to touch her she just shove my hands.

   "Don't touch me you filthy thing! Do you know what you just did? You almost killed me." The little girl hysterically shout at me. 

    What did she said? I didn't even got a chance to hold her and if she's talking about the stone it didn't even touch her. Why is this kid overreacting? 

    "I'm sorry okay. Do you want a candy? I have one here." I look for the free candy the cafe store waitress gave me and offer it to her.

    The little girl immediately slap my hand that has the candy and immediately went to a person passing by while shouting. "She's poisoning me. Ahhhh! Help!!!"

    What the heck? Poisoning who? Her? I don't even know her. Why would I do that. I smiled awkwardly at the passerby. 

   "I'm sorry my little sister sickness works up again. I'm not trying to poison her. She just think I am 'cause she haven't taken her medicine yet." I explained gently while trying to tug the little girl's hand away from the passerby. "Com'on lil' sister. Mother is already waiting for us."

    "Mother your face! I don't have an ugly sister like you!" She hysterically said then bites my hand. "You're ugly!" Then runs towards an alley. 

     What the heck is wrong with that child? Ugly? Me? She's the one ugly. All her family is ugly!

    "Aren't you going to get your sister? The alley she runs to is quite dangerous for a kid like her."

   I look at the passerby and smile awkwardly. Why did I even say she's my sister? If I don't follow her then this person might think that I'm really planning to poison her. I guess, I have no choice then.

    "He he he. Of course, I was just supposed to call our mother. Excuse me then." I immediately run towards the alley the girl runs. I saw her at the top of the garbage bins while two stray dogs are barking at her.

   I immediately shoved the two stay dogs away and puts the little girl down. "Are you okay? Did they bite you?"

   She just looks at me bewildered. 

  "Com'on lets get out of here first. It's not safe in here. There's a lot of stray dogs that could bite us." I immediately walks her towards the direction where we came from. 

   "Why are you helping me?" The little girl asked after we got through the alley. I look at her and kneel. "I was mean to you and even call you ugly. So, why?"

   "Because you need help. Everyone would help you if they are in my shoe too. Anyways, what are you doing here? Where's your parents? Give me their contacts so I could call them for you."

   She shakes her head and get something out from her bag. She handed me a vintage looking notebook. 

   "Since you help me, I'm giving this to you. You want to be a writer right? Write your next novel on this notebook and you'll be famous for sure but you should be-"

    "YSAVELL!!" A loud shout comes from a distance. I didn't get what the little girl was saying at the end because of the shout. I look around and saw Lena running towards me. 

    "Are you going home?" She then looks at the notebook I was holding. "Did you buy this? This looks antic. Why did you bought this?"

   I shook my head and turns towards the girl. "I didn't buy it, this little-" I didn't finish my words when I didn't saw the girl. 

   "What girl?" 

   I immediately turn my head everywhere but I couldn't find her. "Do you see the little girl I am with?" 

  Lena look at me confused. "What girl are you talking about? I didn't saw anyone with you. And if you're with someone I could immediately saw that person for sure 'cause I saw you get out from that alley." Lena then points towards the alley I come from. 

   "But I was really with a little girl when I walk out from that alley. You didn't saw here?"

    Lena then shook her head. "I really didn't see anyone. Maybe you're just tired or something. I told you. You should stop writing at midnight. Com'on let's go home. Maybe it's just your imagination."

   I wanted to complain cause I was definitely with a little girl. When I saw a girl waving her hand at me at the opposite street. She seems saying something to me by gesturing her hands but I couldn't really understand what she wants to say. She then wave her hand again and walk towards a building. 

    Maybe that's where her parents are. I'm glad she's safe.

Ysavel, a striving author suddenly wakes up inside her own novel. She thought it's those typical transmigration story she have read. However, she was shocked when she realized she becomes the villainess of the story.

   "DON'T TELL ME I BECOME THE VILLAINESS OF MY OWN STORY?!"

  And the only thing she could do to return to the real world is to live as the villainess. At first she thought it was fine until the characters started to act not accordingly to the script.

   "I don't want another Queen. I want you to be my only Queen, Csille." Prince Fraser whispered. 

   The male lead who is supposed to get irritated with her non stop bugging becomes clingy to her.

  "It's inevitable, Lady Lauretré. You will still be the Queen, so I don't see any wrong with what I said. Also, I don't think the King or even the Crown Prince will like to change their minds about your engagement."

  The female lead who is supposed to take away the male lead away from her starts to matchmake the male lead with her.

  What should she do? She couldn't get back to the real world if she didn't finished the story as the villainess. But how can she finished it if the two leads are not following the script? Help!!!
