His popularity was even higher than many of the top actors and he was even going on a world tour.
Everyone thought that no one would be able to stop Guan Zhou from ruling over the music industry all over the world.
 But something unexpected happened….
Guan Zhou threw up blood during one of his concerts and after reaching the hospital, he was diagnosed with cancer.
It was shocking news.
Even Guan Zhou himself took a lot of time before finally accepting his faith. At that time, cancer was incurable. 
There was no way Guan Zhou would have been saved, but he didn't give up and opted for treatment from the best doctors in the world. 
His struggle was really worth clapping for. Guan Zhou didn't give up until the end, but in the end, he couldn't go against fate. 
He succumbed to death ultimately. 
It was like the whole China was silent. Many people were mourning for the legend of rock music- the Rock king Guan Zhou.
His legend ended and with this death, the rock scene in China also started to deteriorate.
Many bands and singers tried to follow up on his legend, but all of them failed. They were nowhere near his popularity.
People even said that there can be only one Guan Zhou in the world and no one can recuperate his success.
As the rock scene in China started to deteriorate, no old was able to save it and now, rock was struggling to survive. 
"I didn't know you were a fan of Guan Zhou."
Lily said as she looked at the vinyl record in the hand of Professor Che Shu. 
Professor Che Shu who looked like someone who would like slow and classical music was actually a fan of Guan Zhou.
It was the first time Lily was hearing this.
"Yeah, I even attended one of his concerts when I was young. It's a pity that the legend of the Rock king ended so soon."
Professor Che Shu expressed remorse on his face as he said that.
"Yeah."
'Maybe if Guan Zhou was still alive, then rock music would still be alive in China.'
Lily thought in her mind.
She wondered how rock music would have panned out if Guan Zhou hadn't died. It was an interesting thought. 
Maybe, rock music would not have become a gourmet food existence.
"Anyway, I think Guan Zhou would be able to help you?"
Professor Che Shu said and Lily tilted her head and asked.
"How can Guan Zhou help me? He is already dead and dead people can't talk."
Professor Che Shu sighed when he heard that. He wondered why Lily would act like an idiot sometimes. 
"You are forgetting that people can die but music will never die. Guan Zhou may have died, but his music is still here."
Professor Che Shu raised the vinyl record in his hand slightly while saying that. Realisation finally struck Lily as she stared at the record.
'Yeah, the professor is right.'
Many great musicians had died but their music was still in the world. People will still play their music and reminisce about the musicians. 
Guan Zhou was the same. Many people will still play his music regularly.
Although not many young people will listen to his songs or even know him, there were still many fans of his in China.
Professor Che Shu was one such example.
"But how will Guan Zhou's music help me?"
"You want to write original rock songs of China. Then, what's better than listening to the songs of the Rock king. Maybe, listening to his music will give you a direction."
Lily nodded at his words.
If she wants to write the best rock songs, then she has to learn from the best rock artists in China. 
Although she was not exactly 'learning' from him, she decided to believe the Professor. Maybe, listening to Guan zhou's songs will help her out. 
"I will play it. Try to listen to the core of the music."
Professor Che Shu quickly played the vinyl record.
After a while, a guitar voice sounded out from the record player. The song playing was called 'Dark shadows'.
It was one of the songs in the debut album of Guan Zhou and it was also Professor Che Shu's favourite song of Guan Zhou. 
"I'm standing here feeling clouded…."
"My shadows are shrouded…."
"And I'm wounded without you...."
Lyrics also started flowing out and Lily opened her eyes wide when she heard that. She couldn't believe the song that was flowing out.
It was the first time she was listening to Dark shadows and it was completely different than what she had thought. 
'This is a genuine rock song!!'
She thought as he stared at the song flowing out from the vinyl record. Then, she looked at Professor Che Shu. 
She noticed that the Professor had already closed his eyes and he was enjoying the song.
Lily decided to do the same. She let the lyrics and melody of the song enter her body. It was like she was imagining what the song was trying to say.
The song was about a boy who was heartbroken and he was staring at the clouds while sitting on the top of a hill.
Lily suddenly found herself on the exact same hill, besides the boy. She stared as the boy grieved about his love.
The boy stared at the grey clouds in the sky as he cried, but in the end, the grey clouds were swept away by the wind. 
The only thing that was left was the bright sunlight raining down on the boy. 
The song finished with the boy standing up and accepting his broken heart. 
"Ah…."
Lily let out a surprised voice when the song finished. She looked around but she found that she was not on the hill, but in the underground recording studio.
Professor Che Shu chuckled when he saw Lily liked that.
Guan Zhou songs have this special quality that will transport the listener in the song. It was like the listener was listening to the emotions instead of the song.
"How was it? Do you have a clue now?"
Lily composed herself and shook her head when she heard that. 
"No, I didn't get what I wanted."
Professor Che Shu made a frowning expression. He thought that Guan Zhou's song would help her, but it looks like he was wrong. 
As he was pondering on this, Lily's next words stunned him. 
"I didn't get what I was looking for but I think I found something more than that."


Ren, he was someone with great talent in acting and singing but due to bad luck and some wrong choices, he was only able to become a third rate actor.

After dying in an accident, he noticed that he had returned to the past.

With the help of his talents and the knowledge of future, he started his journey to become the trendiest star of the century!

"But don't forget that we are in the Ultimate," came the reply.
Everyone fell into silence.
"Yes, the Ultimate." Master Auden sighed softly.
The Physical World and the realm of aether overlapped in this place, the image of the Originator was projected here, and the catastrophe in its embryo could rewrite the rules. One could not bypass the will of the various kings of the first generation when attempting to achieve anything here.
Rising to the starry sky or falling into hell…

Ye Qingxuan wanted to get up, but before he realized it, dark shackles had been put on his hands. He was momentarily surprised and couldn't help but start laughing softly.
"Eh! What the heck is this?" He looked up at the figures of the various kings of the first generation. "A trial? Do I need to make an innocent plea for myself?"
"Silence, mortal!" The kings all said in unison, "All words are powerless. The metage shall begin, and thou art to wait quietly for the results!"
"Metage?" Ye Qingxuan raised his head and looked at them. "Do you need me to stand on the scales?"
No one responded.
Silence ensued.
Ye Qingxuan couldn't help but feel somewhat awkward. Coughing dryly twice, he added, "I mean, if something's the matter, please make it as fast as possible, I am in a hurry."
At the very moment, turbulence burst forth.
At the end of the hall, the golden door rumbled.
A huge balance appeared from it, and an ancient, majestic emblem hung on both sides of the balance.
On the left side of the balance was the unrest shadows of countless strands of music theory. However, an unchanging order remained throughout the chaos. In the end, it morphed into a vague Rubik's Cube and turned out to be the core of the Net of Aether, Ye Qingxuan's Symphony of Predestination.
However, the right side of the balance was empty.

Holding his scepter, Augustus closed his eyes. "You deny God and refuse to sacrifice!"
The nameless king in white sighed. "You are a deviant and are not of much use."
In the dead silence, a terrifying pressure descended from the sky, exerting on Ye Qingxuan's will. It whipped his consciousness again and again, making him almost unable to continue.
"Leave us, offender!" The various kings of the first generation judged in unison. "You are not qualified to receive the power, and everything of yours is worthless to the world. You don't deserve the power!"
Boom! Ye Qingxuan's body shook and his consciousness became scattered. On the outside, his body became fleeting to the eye, like a candle in the wind. But from the beginning till the end, he was never completely put to rout, nor did he totally dissipate as the kings declared.
He was still here.

I started to run not sure what direction to take just running deeper and deeper into the woods. I couldn't see where I was running because tears filled my eyes. All I knew was that if I stopped running my siblings would find me. If they find me they will get hurt. I didn't know if I could control myself like this. I couldn't even make myself finish or stop the transformation. I was trapped in this form... this.. MUTT form is the only word the fits  

I just wanted to run as a fox that way I could really hide and run but the wolf side of me was fighting to get out. As I ran a war raged on in my mind. The wolf wanting to be free and at last, the fox wanting to stay in charge, then there was me lost in the middle of the war zone. My mind had become a minefield that I didn't know how to navigate. 

I ran, stumbling, falling through the forest as well as through my mind. I couldn't keep my feet under me, maybe it was because I was confused, hurt, lost, angry, sad, all at the same time. Maybe it's because I was on two feet then four none of them lining up the way they should. I was blind tears filling my eyes. I kept moving, passed the pond where my dad taught me how to swim, pass the waterfall that fed it. Pass the end of our property. 
    By the time I ran into the middle of the woods I couldn't see anything rage had tinted my vision red. Tears wouldn't stop falling, the world a blur as I moved. I was running so hard and fast that I didn't see the tree in front of me. As what little of the world I could see faded all I could think was this was the end.

I opened my eyes and saw nothing but darkness. There were two different tunes playing in my head. One slow and steady the other fast and rough. Two completely different tunes beating at my skull. Both trying to be the louder song. I saw the music flowing out of my head. Two lines of music flowing from me into… Nothing.

"No that's not right! They can't just end in nothing." I had a feeling that if either music ended then I would die. 

"What can I do? I am not ready to go yet. This can't be the end of my story. It can't end before it's even begun can it?" I began to cry not knowing if this was my end. Forced to watch as the music flowed from me into the abyss of black. 

"Are you just going to sit there and not fight?" A soft clam voice asked from somewhere just out of my view. 

"I thought you were a fighter?" A rough and wild voice from the other side of me called out. 

"What can I do? I am dying, all that's left is for the music to end and with it my life. There is nothing I can do to stop it." I sobed 

"There is if you want to live." the soft voice replied

 "If you really are the fighter I always thought you to be then you can fight this too." The wild voice almost howled at me. 

"How can I?" I yelled trying to get my voice louder than the music. My ears hurt from the blare of the two different beats. My chest rumbled with every note.

"I have been with you through everything. Though you never really thought about me. I have been here helping you, guiding you. I was there when our father died. I was there when we wanted to take a bit out of anyone and everyone who mentioned him. If you let me take control now I will help you once again." The soft voice whispered into my ear. 

"Nooo! I have been here the whole time as well even though you repressed me. Even denied that I existed. And you fox kept me from being able to mourn our father. You kept me locked up so she would never know me. You wanted to be incharge. You say she chose you but I was never given a chance. I was able to claw my way to the surface only once. It was thanks to me that we had our father for as long as we did. Or did you forget that girl." The ruff voice boomed. 

"Wait… wait these two beats they are not my life they are yours!" I stammered.

"Yes." the voices said at once. 

With that information, I realized that the two beats were not there and there was a third. Once I heard it the beat grew in size and in volume. It kept growing until the others paled in comparison. I knew how I could survive. I knew what I had to do. 

"STOP!!! This is not about either of you! This is my life, not the life of a fox or a wolf." I expected my voice to shake but it was as steady as it could be. Strong and demanding I commanded. "Taking back control of my mind. This is my life you don't get to take control of me. Not now, Not ever!" As I start yelling the music flowing from me gets stronger and louder. All three of the strains of music start to flow into one mixing and changing. The new stands of music flowed from but it also flowed into me. Filling me with life and a renewed sense of being. 


Just wanting to start dating May asked her mom what should have been a normal question.The answer she got sent her whole into a spiral.
