"They were threatening to do things to Yae!" Elze shouted out. "You can't blame us from DOING YOUR JOB FOR YOU! What sort of town guards are you anyway? Where were you when all of this was happening?"

"Hey, what we know is what we can do about. If rascals want to rumble in the streets, that's not something we can fix until someone tells us so we can go there! You know how big this town is? Monika groaned and palmed her face.

The town guard tsk'ed. "Just like I figured. You lot always think you can get away with anything. Just a Purple? Don't get too full of yourself, boy."

I stared at the guard in front of me, meeting his eyes with the blankness of my own plastic-shelled visage until I could see him sweat. His face broke open in a contemptuous sneer. 

"You… you don't even actually want to do that, do you?" I murmured. "You want me to swing the first punch…!"

I closed my raised right hand to one pointing finger. "[Playback], please."

Then I had Monika replay the recording of what he had just said for the past thirty seconds. The sneer slowly faded from his face as he realized we had some magic to accurately replay events as evidence to his own superiors. Null magic was personal magic, it was not something they could stop just from denying access to magic stone.

"Oh. Right! I forgot, you did say you could perfectly remember and repeat again everything you could see and hear!" Elze gushed out melodramatically.

All the way back at the start, I had asked for and read the Guild guidebook. Reflet Guildhouse was happy to assist, it was always good to see new adventurers treating their new career seriously.

There was actually a very strong precedent for this and helped to protect the Guild's neutrality across different nations. Trumped-up charges was the best way for local lords to try make adventurers 'learn their place', until they learn that the adventurer they were hassling just so happened to have strong ties to an army or well capable of blasting through their town walls all on their own.

Adventuring was also an old past-time of royals sending their sons to more directly gauge the mood of the populace and ferret out malingering lords. Grumbling, they left the restaurant. They took whole dishes with them, and I meant including the dishes. They could probably pawn those off somewhere too.

"Honestly, such ruffians!" the waiter snorted in their wake. He glanced at our purple card and his nostrils dilated in barely-disguised disdain, but a Purple could become a Red or Silver eventually (and thus earn far more) and get famous. A town guard would always be just another trumped-up commoner.

"... I think it's great that you solved that without violence, Mister Zah," said Linze. Unlike her sister, she was much more sensible and didn't enjoy the thrill of combat and didn't hurting others even if they deserved it.

I exhaled roughly and slumped in my seat.

… yeah, this place needed a Sir Samuel Vimes far more than it needed a Batman.

She starts a business, becoming a legendary businesswoman. There's no need to talk about people who previously mocked her for being poor when they see her billion-yuan net worth. When relatives visit to cozy up with her, they are denied. We are no longer related to one another. Return to whatever foul place you came from!

Days are good, except for an easily jealous man beside her. For no good reason, she ends up aching all over, especially in her nether regions, all thanks to him. 

This is a story whose male and female leads are both strong and untainted.

Lucyndth woke up to a dark room. He couldn't see. Suddenly he felt chills down his spine, as though someone was watching him. Lucyndth was very sensitive to sound, so he heard someone moving around behind him. Then he felt someone breathe on his neck. "AHHHHHHHHH!!" Lucyndth screamed his heart out. He didn't like any physical contact with anyone, he also hated speaking to people. He realized this now once he felt that he was going to be spoken to, or even worse, touched by the stranger behind him.
"Don't touch me you weirdo!" Lucyndth screamed at the person behind him. The store owner scoffed,"I would like it if you didn't scream in my ears. Also stop moving before your germ infected body accidentally touches me." It was obvious that he didn't want anything to do with Lucyndth. I mean, why would he? Lucyndth is the one who broke into his library cafe in the first place. "Why are you here? Wait! Did you come to try to infect me with you disgusting diseases? Were you sent here by Sydith? Well to bad! I can't be infected by you, so good luck on trying to do so." The store owner slowly started to walk to face Lucyndth. Lucyndth was shocked. He knew this man was obviously germaphobic, but he didn't think that he would go this far! 
    As the store owner walked around, Lucyndth noticed that he was wearing a yellow bacteria resistant suit with a gas mask. He was wearing two pairs of gloves which was obviously too much. Lucyndth wasn't much of a small talk person, but he decided he was interested in the strange man. He doesn't think that he has seen anything like this before. But as he thought again for the fifth time, he wouldn't know if he saw anything like it because he doesn't have his memory. "So Mister Store owner, may I ask why you're wearing that suit of yours. Are you making a fashion statement? If so, than those gloves are really clashing with the color of your gas mask. It is a disgrace to the fashion community."  Lucyndth's tone was really sassy like he was some fashion designer who knew what he was talking about. Even worse, the way he said Mister Store owner was sarcastic and was especially getting on the store owners nervous. "First of all Mister germ infested human, this here is not a fashion statement! I'm wearing it so you don't infect me with whatever your carrying. Your like a stray dog and I wish I could return you to the pound.  Also, for your information, my name is NOT Mister Store owner!" It was obvious that the store owner was triggered.
  Lucyndth was surprised that he went off like that, but he decided to play along and use what the store owner just said to at least get his name. Maybe the store owner could help him with his memory issue. "So if Mister Store owner is not your name, what is?"
The store owner realized that he fell into the trap that the kid set for him. He walked right into that question. But even if he wanted to, he couldn't tell the kid his name unless he is willing to make a blood deal and he didn't want to have to merge with the kids disease infected soul! "It's none of your business what my name is! The real question is, why are you running around my cafe, spreading your diseases like a rat?!"  Dang it! He was good. He changed the subject faster than Lucyndth thought he would. Ah! He had an idea, " So you can't tell me your name?" the store owner didn't know where this was heading so he replied "That's right, and you still haven't answered my question!" Lucyndth ignored the last part of his sentence and continued on, " So! You can't tell me your name, and you ask if i was sent by a person named….Sydith, right?" 
    The owner stopped walking around and looked a Lucyndth, he didn't know how he was supposed to answer the questions he was throwing at him. "Yeah, So what!?" A sly smirk cam across Lucyndth's face. "So. That means that your a spy and the Sydith person is one of your assassins, am I right? Or Sydith is your boss and your scared of him. I bet you think I'm an assassin, don't you?" The store owner was very confused on what this boy was thinking. He seemed unpredictable. His tone was light and soft, no matter how loud he spoke, it was soothing to the ears. Even though he speaking nonsense he spoke slowly with an indifferent face, as though he was stalling or expecting something to happen. The way he slightly tipped his head down like he was a wolf sweet talking a sheep, pretending to be his friend so he can attack. Although at a glance, the boy seemed nice and like someone who wouldn't cause trouble, he was obviously trying to get something out of the store owner. "Hey brat! What are you planning, huh? The way your talking now makes me think your a trained assassin, trying to use reverse physiology to get what you want!" Lucyndth frowned. The store owner was getting farther and farther away from the topic he set. All he really wants is to know his name and ask for food.
   The store owner noticed that Lucyndth looked like he was getting tired and his eyes started to droop. "Wasted all your energy trying to plot against me, I see?" The store owner started to joke at Lucyndth. But this was really serious, Lucyndth didn't know how long it's been since he ate something. When the store owner noticed that Lucyndth didn't have anything to say back he started to frown. "Hey kid, stop playing around and tell me who you are and what you want." Again, Lucyndth didn't answer. The store owner noticed that Lucyndths eyes had dark circles around them and his face was getting paler and paler. "Hey kid, is this apart of your plot against me. If not, don't think I have time to help you!" Lucyndth finally glanced up at the store owner and then passed out.

Lucyndth doesn't know what to do! He lost his memory, and there's a demon saying he will help for a price larger than any some of money. He finds out that he's not just some boy who washed up on shore, but someone much greater!

Even though the amount in the charity funds appeared quite substantial at first glance, it would have to be divided between numerous victims. 
Jin knew how much a dimensional instance would cost based on the System's requirements and the store owners currently allocated cut of the funds alone was not sufficient.
If possible, Jin would have preferred not to use the fat cheque which Xiong Da had handed him, but in order to create the ideal version of the Tiangong Shopping District he envisioned and more importantly do so in time before the upcoming Christmas, he had to spend that money to earn more money.
When Jin had offered the store owners his services for instance making, and the System had promptly jacked up the prices accordingly. This would allow him to earn some of the cash back, but he quickly asked the System to ease up with the prices for this first batch of tenants.
Subsequent tenants wouldn't be let off the hook merely because he would have proven that paying his prices would be worth it at that point.
The dungeon supplier explained that the owners did not need to worry about electrical or water fees. Instead, they would be charged a standard maintenance fee each month along with the rent which he had decided to lower to 50% of the original price.
Jin understood that losing business during a festive period was extremely devastating and offered some help to the store owners. He had sworn a pledge to aid the store owners when he was fighting against the Ruby Rats and Jin intended to keep it.
Until they managed to get back up on their feet, he would not touch the rent pricing because if they prospered, he would prosper too. (Definitely way more than what he spends right now.)
The store owners were very surprised that Jin was willing to lend them so much help. Those prospective tenants he had not interacted with, will wonder whether the kid even knew how to be a proper landlord or if he was just too rich for his own good. Yet Lai Fu casually reminded them that it was his business sense that allowed the old Tiangong Shopping District to pick up some slack after the pachinko accident.
That was when the store owners clearly misunderstood Jin's kindness and probably with a tinge of shrewdness for his portrayed stupidity, and many unconsciously swore to aid his cause if things ever were to go south again.
Jin at that point then asked this first batch of tenants to start writing or draw how they wanted their new stores to be. Even if they could create their dream store, it was the dungeon supplier who would be the one to create the instance for them.
Thus, he needed them to accurately visualise and articulate what they wanted in their stores.
It was a fairly simple procedure considering all of them were experienced business owners, and many started by listing their demands prioritising the practical stuff such as cash registers or specific appliances for the various stores like coffee makers, stoves and fridges.
Going through their requests, Jin realised many of those things he could provide at a fraction of the cost compared to buying it wholesale as well at a superior quality too. (However, he kept quiet and retained the pricing as per Earth's market price to earn some profit. At the very least, those machines will definitely be more of a higher quality.)
Upon glancing through the request list, there were even some things that Jin believed the System could improve. For example, it should be easy to overhaul cash registers and the need for computers to do their accounts.
Jin felt with Kraft's help, he could create a simplified program that could link the System's powers to the computers that they had, allowing them to easily manage their accounts while he could keep track of the amount of money that they earnt. (For analytical purposes too. If he knew everyone was earning decently, Jin could subtly increase the maintenance fees and rent without too much of a complaint.)
After receiving the wish lists of items and their own depiction of their dream stores, he sat them down in the conference room and spent some time getting to know them better. (As if he was Santa Claus in the room, addressing the kids about their toy wishlist.)
Since they would all be working under his umbrella, Jin did not wish for them to compete against each other, but rather earn the customer's money as a collective group. That was one of the few ways how Tiangong Shopping District could survive the harsh 'winter' that was coming.
To his surprise, most of the store owners had already specialised long before he opened his store and there were not much of repeat in terms of stores. Lai Fu had his General Store, selling everyday goods and other sundries, Si Fang was the only café store in the shopping district. He Rong was no different, dealing toy merchandises for hobbyists while Ke Ru had the only fast food restaurant in the neighbourhood.
Qian Qian owned a bakery, and her bread had won her several die hard fans, especially among the workers going to the subway station. Man Tang was the only karaoke entertainment owner within a five kilometre radius, and her establishment was considered the bigger few within the shopping district. She could be on par in size with Lai Fu or perhaps even more substantial than his.
Bai Wan and Bai Xin were a pair of twins, brother and sister, who had taken the opportunity of the dungeon supplier store and revamped their stores in facilitating the sales of weapons and armoury. However, because of the Ruby Rat attack, they also suffered the most due to the triad members being raiding their place first and had picked their store clean from the attack.
Jin knew that their insurance was surely insufficient to cover, especially when their two connecting stores had been from their parent's generation, and they hadn't had much to cover such expenses. (That also gave Jin the perfect opportunity to help them.)
Yu Xiang, handled her parents' Chinese medicinal store before the destruction of Tiangong Shopping District but she also possessed her knowledge of western medicine and a graduate certificate in pharmacy had given her the license to operate a western pharmacy corner in the shop too.
There were some disagreements with her parents, but ultimately, they knew that not everyone believed in Chinese medicine and their daughter's knowledge in western medicine hopefully would augment their store's profit and reputation.
Unfortunately, the loss of their shop made them lose a lot of valuable medicine, and the insurance coverage was also not sufficient to cover for their losses. Yu Xiang only came because her parents were not able to make it, as they went to attempted to source for other medicinal suppliers hoping it would be cheaper.
Thankfully, all hope was not gone for this family store nor for the Bai Twins. Jin saw a lot of potential in aiding Yu Xiang as his chi generating potions had been mainly derived from Chinese medicinal herbs and he believed she could sell his potions and potentially...improve them further.
The last one but definitely not the least of them all, had made quite the impression on Jin. Yong De was the store owner who owed an arcade in the shopping district. Initially, he wanted to sell all the different mini games to He Rong but seeing Yong De mentioned how he sold not just arcade and UFO machines, but even hosted card tournaments it made him the perfect person to deal with. If those two store owners worked together, there was a possibility that they could push the mini games Jin created to a higher level.
There were others that sold food too, and Jin was not very interested in them since he had Lynn, who was clearly superior to them in terms of food. He did not wish to brag nor did he want to simply remove those choices, so he had instead decided to open a food court to cater their food. However, that did not stop him from wanting to sell ingredients to them because of Lynn's request.
Even the chef working under the Dungeon Supplier welcomed the competition when Jin had previously discussed about aiding the store owners. Lynn claimed that only through competition was she able to excel among others. Of course, in terms of ingredients, Jin would be selling only what could be found on Earth although they were still thoroughly enhanced in quality by Ke Mi's and Shu's aid in the farming aspect.
Juicy, tastier and nutritionally more valuable than the ones Jin bought in Lai Fu's general store, not to mention no insecticides or pesticides used at all because of the strict growing environment that the System had regulated.
It was truly the wonder vegetables that Jin would be selling at a higher cost price. But he was not stupid to sell it immediately and rather planned to give out a few as a sample for the store owners to try.
As Jin got to know them personally while learning about their requests, the other store owners began to network with each other by brainstorming what their instances would going to be like. They were hoping that all of them had a different theme, so it would be an assortment of experiences for the customers.
It was the food store owners that believed that they had picked the short straw among the rest of them since Jin announced that they would be placed together.
Some were disappointed for not receiving the same treatment as the rest but that was when Lynn entered the conference room. Accompanied by a few of her penguins they brought in some refreshments for the group, and it was none other than Lynn's speciality, Black Pepper Pork Buns. Along with cans of bamboo juice, the drinks and food did perk the store owners' mood up a little as they continued with their brainstorming session.
That was also when Jin had a breather and decided to face the entire group of food store owners in order to address their issues. While the store owner's complaints were valid, the dungeon supplier replied that he was aiming to catch the attention of the surrounding neighbourhood by providing this collective food court concept.
"Your maintenance fees as a collective will be significantly lesser as a group, and there was a reason why I am putting you guys together. By aiming to attract a large crowd, a crowd larger than what you all were used to handle. See those penguins over there? Because you are in an instance, these penguin NPCs will be able to help you cook your food too." Jin said as he asked the penguins to come forth and let the store owners feel them.
Some of the store owners who had never been to a dungeon supplier were shocked to see how real these penguins felt but still questioned their abilities. As if on cue, Lynn took out a portable stove from her storage ring for her peggies to demonstrate.
The store owners knew that these mobile stoves can be used as efficiently as the ones in kitchens since many of the street vendors used them as well. Most did not remember that not too long ago, Lynn had been a street peddler selling her famous Black Pepper Pork Buns.
Jin humbly asked the store owners to move to the side of the room while his chef brought out a mobile sink and plugged in a five litre tank of pressurised water so the penguins in the area could prepare the simplest and yet one of the most demanding dishes in Chinese cuisine.
Egg Fried Rice.
While Jin was amazed by Lynn's preparedness of cooking supplies, Si Fang said that it was actually quite a standard set of items in a chef's storage ring and the food store owners nodded their heads.
They also had these portable stoves and sinks as an emergency backup (though not all as modern as Lynn's) in case an appliance suddenly went faulty in their stores, or when they needed extra manpower to cook, the store owners could provide their temporary workers without using up much space.
The penguins immediately started by first cracking the eggs smoothly, beating them up in a rather fast pace and the store owners could see that the actions were not dramatised and instead efficient.
Lynn left and came back into the room quickly with some cooked rice that was stored in a fridge with a steady temperature of 23-24 degrees Celsius. This was because everyone in the room knows that half of the secret of making fried rice is to have the cooked rice be at an appropriate humidity. The amount of moisture locked in the rice would prove to be one of the essential properties in preparing a good quality egg fried rice.
The penguins took the fairly large bowl of cold cooked rice and threw them in the wok to stir fry, ensuring that the chunks of rice were gradually separated because any chunk of rice will spoil the taste of it.
The food store owners themselves saw how the penguins had the strength and delicacy in stir frying the rice. Only when the penguins deemed appropriate, they poured the egg mixture into the rice and did a quick stir fry.
At that point, the store owners could see a slight amount of chi power being emitted out into the wok, and it was coming from the penguins themselves. They realised that the penguins were controlling the wok as if it was an uphill battle to get the egg liquid to slowly but surely wrap each and every grain.
With a slight pinch of salt, and one last shake of the wok, the penguins began to place the Egg Fried Rice on the plates while adding the final touch, chopped minute pieces of green onion on the top of the fried rice.
"Please, enjoy." The penguins said as they could see the mouths of the store owners were salivating non stop just by the smell and sight alone. Like a horde of camels who saw a miraculous oasis at the centre of the desert, each and every the store owners shamelessly went ahead to have a taste of the fried rice only to be rendered speechless by its taste.
These were the first time that some of the food store owners had tried the food in dungeon supplier's store, and they could not believe that the egg fried rice could be this incredible. Si Fang was then curious why Lynn did not sell this as part of her main dishes. She was guaranteed to earn a ton from it.
"This is due to the fact that the supplier we have contracted is still growing the supplies for the eggs and rice. To ensure they are of top quality and of sufficient quantity, they temporarily delayed their shipment." Lynn had begun advertising their 'food supplier' to the rest of the store owners.
While listening to the dungeon supplier's main chef, the food store owners began to eat with more focus and realised that the rice was so much juicier and the egg that was wrapped around it made very succulent. They had no doubt that the quality of the food plays a part.
"As we are the supplier's exclusive customer, we can sell you a portion of our food supplies which is not cheap at all and the option of renting you our penguins as part of the food court instance to reduce your overall monthly expenses. These penguins can learn and become part of your store, so you do not have to worry about manpower." Jin pointed out the advantages and Si Fang and Ke Ru had already shown signs of wanting to rent those penguins.
They saw how skilful those penguins were in an instant and if they would be able to serve a bigger crowd, these penguins definitely could play a pivotal role in their stores. While some did not like the idea of artificial intelligence in taking over cooking assistants, they kept quiet knowing that they were no doubt superior.
Lai Fu then asked if he could have these penguins to help with his store as well, but Jin said those were mainly for food specialities. However, the dungeon supplier said he could recommend other monsters to serve with Lai Fu's workload.
"Now! That sure is helpful! Recently kids these days just want high pay, more rights and less hours. If these...NPCs is it? Yeah these monsters can help us, and we just pay a portion as part of the maintenance fee, that would be a huge help." Lai Fu commented and unknowingly helped Jin to strengthen his sales pitch.
Eventually, the food store owners were pacified that they had something unique other than the shared food court instance and decided to stay on board with Jin. Hence, Jin spent all of his time for the rest of the day in helping his tenants to shape their dream instances while the System prepared the materials needed and crunched the estimate amount they need to spend.
A lot of them, in fact, all of them were astonished by the astronomical amount, and many felt like jumping off the ship upon seeing the numbers. Jin then reassured them that they could pay in instalments and told them that this was already the discount price and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for them.
"All of my dungeons are this expensive, if not, how do you think they can become so strangely close to reality? Because of this striking resemblance to reality, the high number of people coming to my dungeon allowed me to earn more while maintaining if not, pushing the quality of the dungeons even further." Jin commented in front of them.
"It takes money to earn money." Si Fang gritted his teeth as he repeated what all of them knew. He sighed but was the first to go forward and sign the contract with Jin thus setting an example.
Jin nodded his head sincerely as a thanks for his support. The store owners saw how the most conservative and most level headed person among all of them had decided to bet everything on this chance, they all felt that they should trust Jin a little more.
"We all will be hounding you for refunds if there's no profit to be made!" One of the food store owners shouted, and everyone laughed at that moment. Jin subsequently promised them and reinforced that they would not regret it.
As the meeting was finally adjoined, Jin laid back at his chair in the conference room and sighed heavily. "I guess it's a win today…?" he wondered to himself as he stared at the ceiling for a moment.
This was barely the prelude of the battle. The worst had yet to come as Jin promised to get everything sorted out with all of his might in the next few days. "Time to call out the maximum number of Another Jins to start cracking with the work."
For a new Tiangong Shopping District and a brand new start for everyone.

Today wasn't technically the grand opening of Saintly Dragon and Primordial Farm's shops. Rather, it was their soft opening.
In their soft opening, they weren't officially selling products but instead, they opened their doors and allowed people to look around like it was an exhibition.
They were trying to increase their popularity, and they hoped that when their sales began in two days, they would burst into the market powerfully.
After that initial burst of sales, they would begin another round of promotions. This was just a typical strategy and a means to maintain good sales.
"They'll probably open officially this Saturday!" Chu Xian guessed as he entered Saintly Dragon farm's store.
They displayed the black horned snow dragon king prominently by the entrance to attract pedestrians, and their gambit was very effective. Many people who never had the chance to see the beast in person gathered around and took pictures.
Chu Xian laughed scornfully and continued into the store.
Saintly Dragon's Ornamental Fish Store was large, much larger than his aquarium store in Hai Qing City. It was decked out with many luxurious decorations, and there were many Arowanas and other kinds of ornamental fish, but of course, they specialized in Arowana. Each Arowana was at least ten thousand RMB.
"What do you think, Mr. Chu? It's not bad, no?" One of the workers from Saintly Dragon approached him with a smile.
"Not bad. It's very good!" Chu Xian replied sincerely. Their selection of both species and quality were very rigorous, and only high-quality breeds were allowed for sale. It was far beyond any ordinary store.
"Yes, you can see from the expressions of our visitors today that the business of our store won't go badly!"
Chu Xian smiled. Many people in the store were exclaiming appreciatively and gushing compliments. If nothing else happened, the business of their store would definitely be very good.
Soon, Chu Xian discovered that Primordial's Aquarium Store had even more people, and at the entrance of their store, there was a giant sea tank. It wasn't clear if this was just their ordinary practice or if they were imitating him.
There were more fish than esoteric sea creatures in Primordial's tanks, but the colorful fish were all very beautiful and rare. The large tank they displayed by the entrance was filled with beautiful and playful fish, and it was obviously beautiful, even to the untrained eye.
"Tsk tsk, a million RMB. The highlight of the collection!" Chu Xian looked at a tag with the name and the price and his face turned cold.
The store was quite crowded, and all kinds of sea tanks were placed on the glass shelves. The style of each tank was similar to the showpiece's, with more fish in their aquariums than other creatures and more shrimp as well. The designs of their tanks were also quite good.
"It's really beautiful, and the fish are so cute, swimming in and out of that small cave!" A girl next to Chu Xian looked at a sea tank with affection in her eyes.
 "That's right, so beautiful. I saw an aquarium store online a couple days ago and their sea tanks are very beautiful too. Those plants were incredible. I never thought someone would open an aquarium store in our city as well!"
"Twenty thousand RMB! So expensive!"
"Yes, the cheapest is twenty thousand RMB, and some are even a hundred thousand RMB. Way too expensive!"
Chu Xian laughed quietly as he listened in on the conversation while he explored the store.
The crowd was very impressed with the store, and there were even people ready to make purchases. Twenty thousand was expensive, but in a big city, there were still many people who could afford to buy one.
"Primordial's aquariums are specialized in their own way. They have all manners of fish, and their interior tank design is good. Although they can't compete in the quality of their backdrops, they still made many beautiful tanks. If the store was officially opened today, their business would be very good."
Chu Xian looked around for a while longer before leaving with Sword Two and Sword Four. He found a coffee shop to relax in.
"Hey! Xiaohua, did something happen?" In the afternoon, Chu Xian received a call from Xiao Hua.
"Boss, the people from Primordial started to slander you again."
Chu Xian was surprised. After a moment, he opened up the official site of Germany's Primordial Aquarium Store.
A couple pictures were displayed prominently on the site. You could clearly see Chu Xian holding a basket of flowers and coming to congratulate them, but the title below said: "The owner of Paradise Ornamental Fish came today to study."
They claimed he was studying techniques from them and obtaining knowledge, and the people from Primordial also claimed that Paradise' tanks were a result of copying from them. Chu Xian apparently took their help and guidance, and this time, he came to visit his teachers.
"They're trying to establish their brand as the best and convince people that Primordial's sea tanks are the best aquariums in China. Ambitious! And they want to climb higher by stepping on me. Saintly Dragon did it with their purchase, and now you want to do the same as well. You really think I'm a pushover?"
Chu Xian laughed quietly then shook his head and started to play a game.
The next day, the two stores were still promoting their products, and they even paid for advertisements in newspapers and on the internet. It was no surprise that the two stores became even hotter topics, and many people in Jing Hai City knew that an ornamental fish store and an aquarium store were soon going to open downtown.
Many people came to visit, and they even presold over thirty sea tanks that day. Since they sold so many before even officially opening, you could already see what it would be like on the official opening day.
Saintly Dragon's business was also good. Many ornamental fish lovers were ready to buy from them, and just judging from the number of people in their store, you could tell their business would go very well.
"Here, here. Cheers, let's celebrate our successful business tomorrow."
"Of course. SO many people want to buy right now, and tomorrow is Saturday, so there will be even more people! Business will go crazily well, and the sales will break a million RMB easily!"
"Haha, your Primordial's sea tanks have totally gone viral. They're far more popular than our ornamental fish."

Day 1

Today starts a new chapter of my life and I'll begin my story around 7 in the morning.

I was standing in front of a videogame store looking at the new "Battle of Myths VII" game poster. 

I'm a big fan of the "Battle of Myths" franchise from the original to today's latest version but they tend to costs a bit much but they are worth it. The games mostly revolve around mythical creatures fighting for supremacy to decides the future fate of there kind.

Out of frustration for not being able to buy the game out of bad habit I started to think out loud. 

"Man, I want the new game but I don't have the money to buy it and my allowance doesn't come until next month!"

I was going to keep on with my rant but out of nowhere a grey-haired old man who seems to be in his fifties and dressed in a Chimney Sweep outfit stopped next to me and interrupted my rant by tapping my shoulder before he started to speak.

"You want money, I know a way for you to make some."

He didn't seem to hold any bad intention and he might want my help and pay me for my time so I kept the conversation going.

"Oh, how so?"

"Want to be an entrepreneur? If so what about opening your very own store."

Now he's starting to sound like a scammer.

"That sounds nice but I need money to open and run a shop along with other things."

"No no, you misunderstood my intentions. I'm giving you my old store to run on your own!!"

There something really wrong with this situation what kind of scammer will give away a free store. 

I should leave now but for some odd reason, I feel like I should stay and find out where this situation is leading towards. It won't be too late to leave later.

"What's the catch?"

Seeing that I didn't shy away he smiles at me before he started to talk once more.

"Haha, it seems you are smarter then I thought. You see the store I'm going to give you is a little bit special."

"Special how?"

"Ha~ It's too complicated to explain if you are willing you can follow me to look at it."

Red flag!! 

I should leave this is getting dangerous but before I could turn around and run the man grabbed my hand and dragged me away. 

I don't know what happened after he started to drag me but I found myself in front of an old two-story store that looked like it came from an old western movie in the middle of a back ally which is an odd sight to see.

Once we are in front of the store he let go of my hand and started to walk into the store. Now was my chance to leave I thought but my legs didn't listen to me and started to move forward against my will so I ended up walking into the store right behind the man.

When we got inside the store I can see wooden floor paneling, the walls were painted white, empty wooden cabinets where line up against the wall, a glass counter at the other end of the store and a door behind the counter which I'm guessing leads to a storage area or the stairs for the second floor.

While I was looking around the store the old man went to the center of the store and turn around to face me with a creepy smile.

"Welcome to my store. What do you think of it?"

"Well, it's roomy and clean but I still don't see how it'll make me money with no merchandise and it's well hidden I don't see how people can find it. It's like this place was put here for another reason than just being a store."

"Hahaha don't worry about the little things. Come and sign this transference contract and this store will be all yours."

While he was laughing to himself he took out a piece of paper and pen with his creepy smile out of nowhere while he walks in front of me.

Once he was a foot away from me I could read the contract to only see one sentence on it and it read (I agree to be the new host of the "Curse Store'" curse). Oddly enough other than that there was nothing else, no place to sign my name like a dotted line. Looking up from the contract I see the old man raise his hand holding the pen and strike it towards my neck.

Before I could react or even blink my eyes the pen was already in my neck and I was bleeding with my blood squirting out from a gap between my neck and the pen landing on the contract.

When the contract was covered in my blood the man took a step back removing his pen from my neck in the process. Finally with the pen was removed from my neck I fell on the floor ready to blackout at any moment.

"Thank you and sorry about this but I couldn't take it anymore and goodbye."

Not understanding what he was talking about and before I could comprehend anything his body started to be covered by black-ish red flames consuming him into nothingness. 

After his body disappeared I fell unconscious.

I woke up from my unconscious state around 6 p.m. I found myself on the ground of the store. 

Getting up from the ground I put my hand where the pen was lodged into in a panic thinking I will touch a bloody hole or something only to feel it was fine and when I removed my hand there wasn't any blood on it as well. Finding this odd I took out my phone and put on the camera to look at my neck in many different angles to only find out I'm fine with no holes or blood on it like what just happened had never happened.

When I was done looking at myself I started to look around the place to find anything to help me get a better understanding of what just happened to me.

After looking around everything was the same just like when I first walk in there was no blood or anything. I was only able to find a small booklet and some keys on a key chain. The booklet had a weird title while the keys seem to belong to the store.

Not knowing what to do I picked up the booklet title "Curse Store Manual" and started reading it.

(Hello and welcome to the curse store business. I will be your guide to this new and exciting chapter of your life or more to say afterlife.

The first thing you got to know if you didn't understand the joke at the top and that is that you are dead as no living person is allowed to run a curse store. The second thing is that you are not a vampire! Really, what's with people obsessions towards vampires I blame movies and there romanticizing of them, you're now a shadow.

A shadow is a unique type of undead and is a being that is said to be a mix of a ghost and a nightmare. The good points of being a shadow are that you are on the road to becoming an immortal, you gain any powers associated with shadows, and you are also able to traverse within the shadows. The downside is that you are not allowed to walk under the sun, have weaknesses to blessed silver weapons, holy and fate energy attacks.

There's more but it's more fun for you to discover them on your own also you might want to keep a diary as it might be able to help you keep your sanity.

The third and last thing you need to take note of is that you are linked to the store and can interact with each other through an interface. To open the interface say "Store Menu". 

Now go thrive and progress in this new and exciting business.

There's a lot to look over and not knowing what to do I closed all the screens. When I was done closing them I sat on the floor and started to think over what I'm going to do for now on.

MC: "Man, I want that new game but I need money to buy it and my allowance doesn't come next month!"

MC: "Oh, how so?"

"Wifey, you really are the prettiest. Well, you have always been one but still, you are getting prettier every day." Lexus said with a small smile on his face. He does not believe that there was any other woman who was more gorgeous as his wife. 
"You think so? Don't you think that this is too revealing?" October frowned and looked at herself on the mirror.
He crossed his arms over his chest and seemed thoughtful. He gazed at her with scrutinizing gaze from head to toe then back. Then he nodded his head in satisfaction. 
With that single move of his made the muscles on his arms and back to flex in such a sexy way. October tried to avert her eyes from his body but it seemed like her eyes have its own mind and would keep taking peeks at him. Then her body was getting hot.
The store manager also could not hide her flustered face. She took a glance at Lexus then to October and sighed in her heart. She had never seen this couple before but she could definitely say that there were no other couple who was as perfect as this one before her. 
To think that this godly couple were at her store, that was such a blessing in and of itself! This will definitely attract a lot of customers. She was sure about that.
If she would ask these two devastatingly beautiful people before her for a picture to post it on her store, would they accept it? It would not hurt to try, right? Yes! She should have some backbone. 
"Yes, I suppose this much is normal." October said. If Lexus said that it was good, then it was good. There was no need for him to lie about anything. She then turned around to face Lexus when suddenly, the store manager approached them with a camera on hand. 
"I just could not stop myself from getting enthralled by you two, dear customers." She grinned. However, all she got was a cold stare from the two. Her smile went stiff but still swallowed the fear in her and continued. For the sake of the store, she will do anything even if it meant facing these cold stares that made her instinct to scream for her to run.
"A-ahahaha." She nervously laughed as a sweat trickled down her forehead. Then, she should tread on this carefully. "Master, madam, I can see that you two are deeply in love with each other. It shows on your faces." 
The store manager noticed that there was a slight change on Lexus' face. If anything, there was almost an unnoticeable smile on his face and there was also a look of smugness on his peerlessly handsome face.
The store manager rejoiced for having such a great mind and glibb tongue. She clasped both hands in her mind as she prayed that these two will grant her simple request. 
"In fact, in my opinion, you two are a couple suited for each other, a match made in heaven." The store manager said this in quite an exaggerated manner as she twirled around with glittering eyes and one could literally see that she was surrounded with glitters. 
"Yes, I won't deny that my wife is the prettiest. All other women are just enough to be a blank background for her." He said this proudly and shamelessly without much reserve. He looked at October before he pulled her into his arms and swiftly wrapped his strong and sturdy arms on her slim waist. In that instant, a smile so dazzling and gentle bloomed on his face. 
October furiously blushed at his sudden show of affection in public. This was again a reminder that Lexus does not know any control or anything of that sort in front of other people. All she could do was glare at him.
"Stop that." She said and pushed him away.
"Stop what?" Lexus replied, feigning ignorance. 
October already knew that he would do something like this shameless. She sighed in defeat before turning to the store manager who was looking at them with a look of adoration. 
"I know you have something else to say. Say it now." October coldly said with a little sharpness in her voice. Considering how the store manager choose her words carefully while talking to them and acted in such an excessive manner was a give away that she had some ulterior motive. What motive it was was something she also wanted to know. 
The store manager choked with her own saliva. She was caught redhanded. Damn. She awkwardly laughed as she hid the camera behind her. Well, since the lady had already said that in such a straightforward way, there was nothing to hold back anymore. 
Yes! She just have to be frank with it too, right? This was for the sake of the store.
The store manager straightened her back as she used her professional smile on her face and said this in such a candid manner, "It really is true that I was tremendously enamored by you two young couple. I just could not believe that I would see someone as gorgeous as you are madam and was even partnered with such a dashing and cool man who loves you so much. No, that's not it. The loving atmosphere around the two of you is just so thick, you know. Gosh! I wish I could also experience a love like yours, madam."
"You sure do talk a lot." Lexus muttered under his breath while looking at the store manager with such indifference. 
"So, with that, I wanted to ask for a picture of you two to make a poster of it in promotion of this store. With your looks and bodies as perfect as yours, I'm pretty sure that I could promote my swimsuits quite well. Definitely. Ohhhh, I can already see the customers lining up to buy some smimsuits in my store." The store manager rumbled on and on as she drowned in her own delusions with a stupid grin on her face. 
She was very glad and excited about her plan; unfortunately, that does not seem to sit well with the two, especially Lexus who had on such a dark and ominous grimace on his handsome face. The store was instantly covered with a heavy and cold pressure that made the store manager to snap out of her daze. 
Her once excited eyes were now filled with worry and fear while looking at the man standing before her who she thought was such a handsome and god-like man but she thought wrong. This man was a demon in an angel's skin! 
"You want to take a picture of my wife in her bikini? Then you plan on posting it as promotion for your store? Wouldn't that mean that some bastards will get to have a good look at my wife's beautiful body?" 
The store manager trembled like a leaf as the strength of her knees were leaving her. Those eyes, so dark yet had a blue light glinting dangerously. It was mysterious but more than that, those eyes were scary.

Well, I'm not an expert in that field so I just give her my opinion. Even though It was my opinion, I pretty sure most of the people will agree with me.

"Yeah, our store is cleaned every day, our good is good too and the employee is selected before they can work in our store."

"Now when you already met the expectation, you will do an advertisement to increase your store customer."

"You can promote your store via pamphlet."

"What is that?"

"You write about your store in the paper and give it to anyone who has a chance to become a new customer."

"But the paper is expensive."

Yeah in this world, the paper is hard to make and the book is very expensive and exclusive to noble.

"So how about making a drawing art?"

"Why?"

"Humans usually judging something by their appearance. So let's draw your goods with some effect."

"Isn't it mean we deceived the customer?"

"No.Lets make an example. If you want to promote some clothes, you can hire a model. The model must have a good face and perfect body shape to make the clothes looks better. The customer will think 'the clothes make the model better' so they come to buy the clothes to make them look better too."

Like how the model wearing a costume on Earth to promote, I can use that as an example.

"And if you are selling fruit, why don't you spray pure water and make it looks fresh?"

I take one apple in the basket and one water jug from my storage pouch. I polished the apple and spray it with fresh water, then I take another apple and ask Sophia to compare it.

"I see, the apple looks fresh and more enticing."

"You can use simple methods like this to increase your item value."

"Wow Vin, you very smart. I never think about this before you told me."

"You just need to learn more seriously Sophia, and you need experience too when handling business like this."
